[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy I'm starting to get more and more annoyed about disco alium not being available in Australia the Final Cut You gagging for it you want to play it sort of yes and sort of no I think I'm going to have to play it I agree but I don't know I just think that their reason for rejecting it just seems a bit weird to me are they clarified on it it's it's about the fact he's an alcoholic and the drug use and that type of stuff but from what you've explained from the game that's not a positive thing but yeah

it's not a positive thing no like it's not saying alcoholism is good um I mean you could play it that way I guess if you wanted to you could but no I don't say that then we won't get it I definitely don't think the message is alcoholism is great I've heard you can still buy it on Steam and when you buy it it's still available on Steam you get the updated version so it's just the boxed copy that's not going to be for sale yeah who buys that anyway oh and on consoles oh oh man that's a shame that's all right I'll just get it shipped over look if Luke wanted to play it to just enjoy it he can go right ahead that's not why he wants to play that's not why he plays games to have fun I need to also get achievements while doing it he's got two

jobs one of them is the Xbox achievements but yeah so once it does get released on the Xbox I'm just going to get it shipped in all right by me oh I can probably just order directly online oh fine don't need me then but if you want to send it to me I tell them to send it in uh nondescript brown paper packaging yeah look I've been playing a bit of this I know you've been playing a bit too Matt I've been busy and I don't want to rush it so I've put it on hold for a couple of days pretty impressed by the full voice acting that's been added to it with one exception my favorite voice is gone I'm talking about Kuno completely gone

revoiced by someone new is it someone new or is it the same guy turning it down I couldn't figure that out I think it might just be another guy with like a cockney accent cuz his original voice is fantastic but also I can't I like how would you deliver so much dialogue in that voice cuz he he only really said Snippets like the [ __ ] does kuna care he never actually said all the words like I imagine it would be quite wants me to touch his dick yeah can't imagine trying to deliver all of that dialogue in that voice so yeah maybe they were like does he have a lot more oh yeah yeah yeah hit him in the dick Kuno you can have a full conversation with him again and again and every line is voiced now so I mean several convers she's like a main

character basically yeah yeah so yeah maybe they tried it and they were like this is people are going to [ __ ] go death listen to this little [ __ ] it's fine by me he so good you're just having a look and it does look like it's just by the same person okay so he has just toned it down okay interesting he voiced two people in it who's the other one uh Jean viim VI is that the one of the old men who plays could be yeah I have no idea I'm just IMDb with the cannon balls yes exactly there's one guy who voiced a lot of the characters probably someone who works for the studio I found the narration to be a little offputting at first just because I played it without it for so long

and I I tend like I read it at my own pace in fact even now with I think I said to you guys I've turned off read slow yeah I think I said to you guys I've turned it off and then I I did put it back on because I was like well I'll get used to it I'm sure and I kind of did but I actually kind of skip it sometimes I'll just if I've read ahead for where he's at I'll skip it and I find he emphasizes the sentences in a way that I feel doesn't do them Justice in some cases cuz the writing is very good and it's very clever and I think I think having him read it takes something away from it I would agree I also think there's an English as a second language issue going on but no correct yeah well he has an accent right he does so I

think he just doesn't quite understand the Nuance of some of the dialogue yeah but he should be directed to yeah like there should be pauses in spots where there's no pauses that I I like when I read it I pause and it makes and and I laugh because I'm like that sentence is very funny but then when he says it I'm like oh he doesn't say it very funny like MH I don't know it's hard to explain look I I will say this though it's an absolute miracle that a game with so little voice acting was so popular to begin with yeah like they got away with a text Adventure essentially mhm and now there's even more I've already hit bits where I'm like oh this is new I think different quite found anything too new yet I've from having um you have played

it through uh three or four times though haven't you done yes this is my fourth place probably done that's what kind that's what kind of was beautiful about it is that cuz my character this time I sent you some screenshots I've really gone in for my my character is going to be insane he I've put a lot of um points into his Inland Empire which is kind of his Madness is his inner voice and so I'm getting a lot of dialogue related to that that I've never seen before which is and it's fantastic yeah and then the whole sequence occurred where I mean this is not a spoiler where I was walking along and then it kind of panned out to this whole big view of of all of riversa and he had this internal

dialogue with him like just with myself about what's like what's up north what's down south like not when you ask somebody about it with himself and then he remembered thought about it he remembered his old uh police station briefly and and he was like what is what was that like I don't remember that happening originally so either it's new or it's just because I've got different spe the other thing is that there's certain options that are only available if you fail at other options yeah okay so here's here's another example and I'll try not to give too much away there's a woman who you're trying to get information of and there's two ways that she'll talk to you you can show her your badge to prove your a which is difficult because you don't

have your badge MH for reasons or yeah for reasons or you can go and figure out who's been running drugs through the harbor mhm and uh the first time I didn't have my badge I had no idea where it was so I had to go and find who was [ __ ] running drugs so I did this whole [ __ ] thing came back to her she gave me the information the second time I played through I knew where my badge was so I completed that part of the quest quickly and I didn't get any of the other stuff didn't even get an option didn't even mention it yeah the the drug running stuff was just not part of the game anymore just wasn't part of it because I succeeded too early with something else yeah I told her I didn't have a badge the first time and she was like what she was like what that's that's very

bad you've lost your badge and then Kim was like uh he's joking he's joking he has a bad so good the first time I played through I masturbated in front of Kim I'm going to convince Kim that there's a sexy secret to this mystery there that dialogue option I'm going I'm like I'm going to that's what I'm doing this time I'm going to get my Inland Empire up high enough to convince him that there's a sexy mystery going on there's um I I I got so horny that I needed to masturbate and I was losing morale until until I just agreed to do it l the vo in my head this is going to sound like insanity to anybody listening who hasn't cuz it's like what are you talking about

how is there a game like how does that even make sense you got to play this there's nothing like it yeah man I've heard there's there's one bit of action right luk there's one it's it's a shootout right happens two3 the way into the game I've heard if Kim dies during that shootout I know what you going to say Kuno becomes your partner yeah so is that now your goal yes to have Kim killed yes get to just be so LAX that Kim is shot and killed you Kuno mhm he's going to blow he's gonna blow Kuno so good Pig's talking about

mention that like hey he's only got two so yeah cuz there's the thing that you would want it for later but but also I guess you wouldn't it's not necessary it's just a really great moment later on that I guess maybe that doesn't happen if he if he uses the camera again yeah mhm yeah anyway great game interesting we being too vague I guess we should probably uh yeah just just play it listeners play it I know I've heard from listeners who have played it and and really enjoyed it so I know some of the some of the listeners are playing it right now yeah and I it's it's a tough sell cuz I also know people who who didn't like it when when we said play it it's not for everyone but it's it's just so good if if it's one of these games that we would

have loved when if it came out like 20 years ago like more people will have enjoyed it then but now when people want think of I'm going to play a game they what am I going to shoot well it's even even like I I love this game but when I sat down when this came out and I sat down one evening and I was like I'm going to play this I was like ah it took me it took me a little bit to just to get get into it but then once you're in you're in it's hooked mhm I think it also comes down to the fact that like with this you cuz this is more of a you it's a story yeah oh yeah like there's no action things but with that it means you have to pay more attention and to what's oh you really do yeah and it rewards you if you remember dialog then you're going to go well what the hell am

I doing the dialogue's the point like don't play it if you do that well I mean you get achievement there's only the dialogue yeah yeah exactly not you're skipping everything oh yeah the music yeah as soon as the game loaded I was like oh I'm back yeah that's right and the art [ __ ] me it's it's it's like a painting it's like it's like controlling a painting with this mees mizing music playing and just a surre just losing touch with reality like the bit where you can interact with the intercom and it's not really related to anything but you can like like you know what I mean there's a whole sequence where you just start hitting but you can hit buttons on this intercom at a building and just interact with it and it's like yeah it's

so bizarre but like awesome yeah yeah the kids in the tent there was a whole playthrough where I never even spoke to them my my play through huh had no bearing on what I did in my investigation okay if if you play it that way if you don't need them yeah but I mean you can and it does integrate in but it's up to you I'm hoping that when I do get the play I will like it cuz I've just seen that they they're also releasing some clothes SP and a jacket that I really want is it green does it say on it it's orange oh jacket oh like a bomber jacket yeah ah oh God all right let's just a set of rubber gloves let a look at what I will

couldn't wear it um and he doesn't deserve it so very easily make that jacket work you really could I'm only going to get it if I like the game there are some other jackets uh that he wears that I would probably buy and wear so you know just his disco Blazer yeah there only three on official it's all you get to choose from I finished I finished another game this week finally oh go on what were you playing I'll look you know what it is you've already seen the achievement pop up I'm sure I don't I I finally did something I bit the bullet and I and I finished the main story line in cyber Punk oh and I

[ __ ] loved it yeah and it makes me so sad that people had a bad bad experience with this game I [ __ ] loved it mhm so have you loved an updated version of this or you loved the original game I I loved it the whole time this is this is honestly one of my I I had a fantastic time with this game I I loved it so even at the beginning when it came out but I on the series X we had way less issues the yeah apparently it was unplayable on on the old day Xbox which sucks like yeah for the bugs I was getting where playing was nothing gamebreaking it was more so the vehicles were a bit yeah there were a couple of times where I had to save and reload just to reset the environment to get P some one or two times where I'm going go here to complete the mission I

get there and there's guy in front of me and we're just staring at each other and we're going to talk or yeah but then if you just save and load then it fixes it so but but I mean you don't have but that's all sorted now the the latest update 1.2 that just came out is [ __ ] enormous patch and it fixes tons of stuff and I saw a bunch of people on Twitter going why couldn't you have released the game like this cuz you didn't want to wait your Pricks they would you remember when you were telling them to go kill themselves ruin for everyone that's why they didn't have those fixes in it when it came out all right but there's still a long way off from it being Perfection fixed for everywhere yeah but I think on on your Xbox Dan I think if you want to play it

now I think you'd be fine yeah right the only thing is it doesn't have the Next Gen update yet which is so now now I'm now I'm done with it it next you're not yeah be next year now cuz the they were looking at the end of this year for it but then with a hack that pushed everything back one thing that's come out though they're saying we're not going to talk about games as early anymore MH yeah probably best yeah other companies too they they going on the Bethesda route where it's like okay people care too much about this [ __ ] and we're actually letting them down by telling them things too early and they're not delivering everybody suffers cuz remember everyone was going crazy over for this game for a long time when all there was to begin with was just

sort of one sort of picture really to go off at the very start yeah there that was the girl with the the Mantis blades and everyone was like that was all the information we had but everyone was going crazy going we want this now and that was it's going to have this it's going to have this it's going to have well hey whoa years away he said it's going to have it's here's a picture stop reading into stuff so it's going to be more like you know like when um Fallout 4 was announced and then all of a sudden you could buy it it's going to be like that I think which but that's fine cuz that was amazing well that's what we keep that's what Luke keeps saying he wants yeah so just do an announcement go hey you can buy it now I don't think you need to do the

marketing as much as you used to not with these big games that everyone wants let's do that with films too yeah it gives you the ability to fail a bit without having to be stressful like you know like whole thing could have been avoided if I mean I'm sure this is exactly why they're doing it but if they had just not told everybody about cyberp Punk yet it wouldn't have been this [ __ ] pressure on them I I Still Honest think if they had not announced so long ago they probably wouldn't have announced it cuz they they you could they had to announce it comeing to Xbox one and PlayStation 4 back at the time so long ago they could have just if they didn't announce it back then and announced a few years later they just go this is just nextg mhm and they could

have focused on that and half of the bad feedback and the problems they have go away cuz a lot of it is on that old generation of consoles yeah there were other bugs in it sure but yeah but I I didn't have anything gamebreaking at all just little Oddities nothing that and nothing that detracted from my enjoyment of I [ __ ] loved it but I'd love to see someone like Rockstar or something just to be uh cuz everyone's dying to know when are we getting the next GTA 6 and some stuff just to be a complete silence until the week off go by the way we have been working on this and you can buy it now yeah like apple do when they announce [ __ ] here's the new iPod iPod that's not that doesn't happen here's the new iPhone uh order it now cuz remember GTA

5 I think they spent like a like $300 million on marketing for that Christ that was surprising and it's but I don't understand why oh because people buy it anyway is that what you mean yeah well like who who are you really marketing to I don't know I feel like that's a game it does help it must otherwise they wouldn't do it I don't know I I think if you just go out to the influencers get a few copies out to people who are going to stream it play it get people talking about that way and just a month or two beforehand that's still marketing man Ian I mean pay these influencers a million bucks a piece to play these games yeah no no but yeah screw giving it to the big ones give to hey would you play this for us online for nothing game give him free

busy playing games Gamers aren't out there we're in here I had a thought when I finished this right because I the ending really got me actually I really liked it and it and you married keu reefs there's one thing I don't like about the ending I got to the end and then you know like you kind of play there's like sort of an epilogue kind of thing and then the credits were rolling and I was just kind of sitting there absorbing everything and I just had this thought that was like I bet at this point Luke was already considering reloading to do things differently cuz I'm not going to do that like my V his story is played out now so if I want you can never play again no well if I want to do it again I got to do it as a different character like it's just not I

can't I can't just game it to to to see I'm I'm not going to feel right doing that's it's going to mess with me cuz I'm I don't know my V story is complete now and but like but the thing about it is it just once you finish that epilog crit everything it just takes you back to just before you started that last mission yes and that's why I don't like the ending cuz there's what's an ending it's but it's also not it well I mean it is it literally is like it's like if do you want to keep playing well you got to go you got to reload an earlier game basically but no what I mean is um it's I'm not looking forward to the DLC for it though I wonder that too actually the DLC won't follow off from your ending because no yeah they can't make a DLC for each of those to be fair I I the

reason I like that is because I feel like if the game was like we want it so that you can just keep playing afterwards well then it would have to be too wishy-washy whereas in this like there there were decisions where it's like all right you got to make some decisions and I was like oh [ __ ] don't let me choose that like don't what what and there's some tough decisions that's what exactly that's what it was the ending really got me and I was like [ __ ] so I'm kind of glad because if it was just like all right and then actually you know what the world nothing nothing matters it's all keep playing like I'm I'm with the DLC they're working I'm wondering if it's going to be still in that same story or maybe you're going to be like a side story that was happening

during the game somehow but then I thought of that would s the outter Worlds the DLC for that M you have to replay basically to get it because the DLC takes place at different points in the timeline like yeah I was just lucky for the DLC for that that I had a save point earlier yeah but if you'd finished the game and you only had that one save you'd been working on you'd Sav after point you have to restart the entire game which is crap like I just explained to you that I I don't play games that way like I've played out the story of the outer worlds now and so now I've got the DLC and I'm like I've got to play the whole game again to get to it yeah you know what I mean so that's I like what they did with Fallout 3 like there was the ending you died and then they

went o we're going to make some DLC and now you're magically alive again don't worry about the you're sacrificing yourself yeah you joke but that was one of the happiest moments of my life when you came back oh no I when they rejigged that so you sacrificed yourself in the in that radiation chamber and just got really sick not too sick but it's sort of good cuz at the S you still were sacrificing yourself to end that story so it wasn't like you were going into it thinking oh I'm going to be back later you gave your life to save the Wasteland the Super Mutant who could easily have done it was like no I can't do anything for you mate you've going to have to do you got to do this yourself I can't be doing favors for you all the time above my cor pay grade mate

yeah I'd love to but I've I've actually I've just checked and I've done too much for you yeah who's playing this game oh God I'd love to play Fallout 3 again yeah just not in the tunnels for days and days and days hunting Ghoulies did uh last year or maybe the year before I actually managed to get uh cuz on the the Windows Virtual a games for Windows things uh games I actually also had achievements on it I actually got it on Steam was I to unlock it get the achievements played it uh got a refund but also got all the achievements I don't know I don't feel wrong for this though well you should you should Luke yeah because in in the windows ver the game you can unlock the achievements just using console command

achievement one achievement two achiev and just go through and unlock so you cheated sorry what it's what Dan and I would call cheating is what you would callely what any reasonable person would call cheating Matt I don't have to it's the way the game shipped I didn't have to make any adjustments to that's the game so that's fine that's the game that's how they intended you to play it it was just type words in your console and win wasn't what my plan was to do was to play through the game in its entirety like getting playing through enjoying it again and then just going through if I missed an achievement mopping up cuz remember there's the Megaton ones where destroy or save MH so but the problem was is on the steam ver

it kept crashing on me oh so I just went because it keeps crashing and they gone yes but before I did that I made sure to unlock all the achievements I I did plan to do the right thing trust me Bethesda gets enough of my money that's true we've all bought Skyrim multiple times yes that's true [ __ ] in an instant now I want to play Fallout 3 again I prefer New Vegas New Vegas as well New Vegas is great I feel New Vegas is the best Fallout game in my opinion how how also would it be with packs coming up this in June July the packs online if that they sort of come out and go hey we've we've redone Fallout 3 and New Vegas for new consoles and it releases today well that's that's the

new the news is PAX East was supposed to be on uh in June I think but they've cancelled that and we've got packs online again but you guys are still getting packs Australia maybe we still got packs Australia depending on we have no new cases yeah I thought for paxes they were being a little cocky he thinking that was going to go ahead very I think it was fair of them to say we'll see what happens uh cuz and then you kind of have to I guess logistically if you're going to do it you kind of have to tell people pretty far in advance yeah and then so I think the way they did it was okay but I didn't I was under no illusions of it was actually going to happen no it became pretty clear a couple months ago that it probably wasn't

so yeah p p e was going to be in June but we get packs on lining in which I didn't mind no it was all right it's not the same but it's better than nothing the same I'm hoping that with the second time around it may be a little bit better with stuff that they've learned from the first time cuz there are a few times I went on to hey I'm going to watch this concert yeah there got guy playing the piano playing like uh marble blast or whatever it is yeah marble this marble B the streaming quality was just terrible he could the second he started playing could not Ed just freeze and then he'd stop and then he'd start talking and then it go back to normal second he started playing so maybe they've learned from that or maybe that's his gimmick and he has stumbled upon a

genius way to make people think he's a musician when he is I don't know cuz I did hear a few few notes going in and you start to hear that Marble Madness music again and you it got me excited got to admit I was a little hard oo Marble Madness was good I got to say p online as a thing is kind of timely in the I've got another factor that might prevent me from going to packs yeah yeah or or comp certainly complicate that we're not going to be doing packs the way we used to that's for sure cuz I'm going to have a baby by the time there another one and in fact by the time PX is on I will also have a baby yeah so um but Dan I have checked with your wife M you're allowed to come to Pax Australia okay yep where am I spoke she just

leaving the baby with her for a few days going down to Melbourne she also did inquire if the baby could go as well eating oysters getting drunk with you but I've already asked permission and she said yes so that's great cuz we've got pack unplugged packs unplugged is still planned in I think probably still in Philly that's the one that really probably shouldn't go ahead really because everyone's sitting in little circles oh you know what that's a good point handing cards around breathing on each other good point yeah maybe but we're supposed to all be vaccinated by then and then but until there's another strain or something that well anyway let's hope that let's just hope that doesn't happen but but yes hopefully this also by this time next year we'll

now uh looks like bib Fortuna yeah yes like a lot does it looks a lot like big Fortuna yeah I want to watch this what that a traa movie was it a traa movie I don't think so Return of the Jedi no no it wasn't I watched uh I watched a bunch of movies and okay I watched a couple of movies as well I'll be brief because even though I watched probably 12 hours of things fighting each other uh they're all quite similar I watched it started as just a oh you know Godzilla versus Kong is out I'd like to watch that I haven't seen Kong Sky Island though and all godilla King great and so we're like we're like why don't we just watch all of them so we did we watched Kong Skull Island Godzilla the Gareth Edwards one Godzilla

king of monsters and then we watched Godzilla versus Kong wow how is that one that's a that's a lot of really syy movies backto back Matt I got to say I [ __ ] loved them all of them in their own way I think Godzilla king of monsters is the weakest of them mhm Godzilla versus Kong is the insanest of of them I really appreciate that they were just like [ __ ] it don't worry about it like we know this makes no sense and it's just [ __ ] ridiculous yeah the Earth's Hollow and we're going down there like that's great I it um because if you recall the the Gareth Edwards one was fairly grounded yeah yeah yeah he tried to find some truth in the story yeah and then Kong Skull Island was not but it was great kind of because it just Embrace that SCH [ __ ] amazing yeah

yeah and Kong is [ __ ] enormous in that I was like oh okay he's [ __ ] yeah cuz I was like how's how's he going to fight Godzilla yeah because even Peter Jackson Peter Jackson made him just a really big gorilla you know yeah CU I was like how is he going to fight Godzilla but then even in that's even in that he wasn't he still wasn't big enough but then there's just at the beginning of con like Godzilla ver is Kong someone says oh yeah he's gotten bigger that's and that's it done and he's got a beard now which I [ __ ] he has a beard he's old man K that's how you know that he's like taking a serious turn in his life I was seeing though that people are upset about the new one because there's no is monsters fighting each other that

there's no real it's got It's got you'll see actors names in the opening credits and you'll be like oh he's in this and he's got one line and you're like what the [ __ ] and then the the director was like Yeah we actually basically just cut out all the humans cuz no one gives a [ __ ] that was the weakest part of all the others was the remember when they were trying to force on us feeling feeling something for this family that were trying to get back to each other did not care about them I want to see Godzilla wreck stuff king of monsters with Miley Bobby Brown's family and all that kind of stuff get rid of it right and then this one they did and it's [ __ ] perfect it's just it's monsters hitting each other excellent I'm going to have to watch it cuz I do enjoy that

just ridiculous over the top stff like I still like the Pacific Rim movies yeah yeah I know I like that too specific Rim specific Rim Yeah no you but you've got to turn your brain off whose Rim is this like the stuff that it's they they just say it and then you have to go okay okay why don't don't they it it just is Just go with it if you ask questions and try and read into it you're not going to enjoy it just it's [ __ ] dumb accept it just go with it if they say it it's true basically and I think think if more people did that with a lot of other movies they more people would enjoy stuff instead of going this doesn't fit what I thought it should be and like they never explain how the military has like you've got this the the the Earth is hollow they got this crackpot guy

played by Alexander Skarsgard who's apparently a [ __ ] Professor which just makes me laugh why not and then he's a crackpot Professor you've got this crackpot billionaire and then all of a sudden the military is helping them and they're taking Kong some to to it's just you just have to go worry it yeah like why do they have all these battleships just shut up and go with it like where did they come from Just sh sh look at the look at the monkey punch the lizard like but there's some fantastic visual stuff like just really great gags during the fights there's a bit where like Kong cuz he's [ __ ] jumping across ships and stuff in the ocean cuz I was like how's Kong going to fight Godzilla in the ocean oh that's why the battleships

are there and he he lands on aircraft carrier and he picks up a plane and he throws the plane at Godzilla and then he cuts to the puv or the pilot in the plane and he's like [ __ ] and he pulls the ejector cord and he [ __ ] ejects and then the plane hits Godzilla it's fantastic [ __ ] yeah that's what the movie I'm going to go for my homework now I'm going to go see that yeah just turn your brain off I'm going to leave the house and go to the movies and then Jenna said is this going to be like Batman vers Superman and then they're going to be like fighting and then one of them's going to go Mothra mo why are you saying that name we should do a whole series of them right cuz I got one too that's brilliant but we also need to do one you know that

scene at the very very end of uh Justice League Zack Snider's Justice League I mean only 30% of people will know what I'm talking about but we get that later the ending yeah well when uh mar mar see I'm about to my own when Martian Manhunter comes down and starts talking to Bruce Wayne and he says my name is Martian Manhunter I want to dub over him with going Marsha man H my mother's name is Mara's no no no Maran Mar Martian Martian from Mars Mar and Manhunter because they should have got Mike Tyson to play Mar Manhunter Mar Manhunter um Matt have you seen if you if you're a fan of Mike Tyson's acting um there's uh there's a series of Cantonese films um called the ipman

series with Don Yen Donny Yen yeah yeah first one amazing movie really good seven seel all garbage absolute garbage right in the third third one Mike Tyson is in it oh God and I went to see it uh and he speaks Chinese Jesus all right I've heard a rumor about Mike Tyson being in movies before and they've had to shoot it in sequence cuz he doesn't understand that they already done that bit yeah no no this is the next bit in this script for me no we're going to film this part now but no I haven't done this yet Jesus so yeah I have to do it that way it's a rumor I don't know how true it is probably I like to believe it

it's true yeah probably so I watched a couple of movies on the weekend go on what did you watch so Disney plus now has vintage Star Wars oh there God and they had is that what they call it Ewok yes H vintage Star Wars what is included in vintage Star Wars you get Star Wars Caravan of Courage battle for Endor I watched both of them still enjoy Caravan of Courage but my God the acting is bad really bad and then I watched the sequel which that's okay it still makes no sense in the Star Wars Universe either because a woman can turn herself into a crow and that's fine oh huh um the other thing they've got on there at the moment is the Clone wall

the Animated Series but there was before the Clone Wars animated series actually came about there was actually another one yeah the cartoon cartoon yeah so not the went for seven season the 2D white yeah the Dexter laboratory guy right it's that very Samurai Jack yes a bit of the Star Wars holiday special is on there bit of it just a bit the cartoon where're introduced to Boba Fett right um the other one is Ewok cartoon is on there oh yeah my God watch the intro to that it is is it just gummy bears God they were on drugs back then there's also another cartoon series that's coming later this month I believe that I'm looking forward to and that's droids I love Dro I loved droids I'm going to I'm looking forward

that cuz I want to see if I still like it cuz I remember like youon you won't you won't at all yeah maybe don't maybe just remember liked it look we're about 5 years old when that was on and we were a Target demo for it it is a it is for babies for little babies I'm still going to watch it yeah I'd like to watch it too but I like how I now have I don't have to get my DVD out of Caravan of courage to watch it now a when are they going to put the unsp special editions on Disney plus that's what I want to know um I don't know if they will maybe never maybe never to me I think what they're honestly better to do is not release that on their Channel but just to go here you can buy the Blu-ray version of it they did for a bit you could get the DVDs that had The

Originals on the second disc I've got those somewhere not very good prints of them though no it's rips of the laser discs so yeah it's basically they go look if you want the original we'll give it to you but we're not doing anything we'll give it to you so it looks [ __ ] so you won't want to watch it I was talking to someone about this this week uh about how like some of the stows movies have aged and the one that's aged the worst out of like the Star Wars the prequels all the side things is actually episode one fanty Manis yeah yeah yeah yeah because I don't know if it's aged badly or if it was just always garbage I mean if if it's a sliding scale about how much you enjoyed it then versus now I still enjoyed it the same the same amount I'm not talking about how much

enjoy I'm talking about just the how it looks yeah it's awful it's disgusting I enjoyed it a lot when I first saw it because it was new Star Wars it was a new Star Wars movie and I hadn't had one of those ever since the original ones since I've been I definitely enjoy it a lot less now than I did the first time I watched it I heard a staggering statistic the other day M more time has passed between episode one coming out and now then had passed between the end of the Star Wars saga and the start of episode one yeah cuz it was what 15 years something like that 84 to 99 or something like that right mhm mhm yeah it's not even that long not I mean it was most of our life at that point like we weren't that it was stuff

that came out before we were born and then when we were very young yeah and then the rest we had to wait for and we thought but and for I think also because for so long he kept saying no there will never be anymore MH mhm and we believed him that was the that was the start of his life we trusted him we trusted there is and yet there's another director who keeps saying there will be more Star Wars movies a Trilogy of them yeah well I don't know Luke I think it's been confirmed this week that Ryan Johnson has in fact got a Trilogy yeah it's just not a Star Wars Trilogy I I didn't mind knives out I've got to watch it I guess I've not seen it maybe I'll watch it again I didn't like it but oh really okay yeah it's in the genre that I like I just I just that's why I was like maybe I like

it I I didn't mind it wasn't terrible wasn't great it was was it was a movie not selling what I think what I think did better which came out roughly the same time was the PUO reboots oh thean Express and all that yeah yeah there's new one of them new one of them coming soon so I I would watch that before you watch this honestly I'm happy Netflix have come out and gone Ryan here we'll give you money go make more of this and so maybe he'll stop talking about these Star Wars Trilogy that's not going to happen cuz I still don't think anyone else has mentioned it since it was first discussed I mean he's he said he's working on it they've not announced that officially oh I don't doubt he's still taking notes down for it cuz yet no one's picked up the phone

to tell him it's not happening but they're also not picking up the phone they go hey we're sending over a contract for you right yeah speaking of things that are and aren't on Disney plus right just a little bit of follow up on Gina Carano news right oh yeah yeah we we talked about how everyone was saying she was fired from Star Wars and then we kind of corrected and said well she wasn't really fired she just wasn't renewed yeah um but there is also the argument that she was slated to appear in more shows I mean that's that kind of is being fired when you're an actor I guess yeah and and especially if you're meant to be in a show and then you're told you're no long You' being written out of that it is and it isn't I guess it's not the same thing but it's I guess

it's of but just in case you didn't think Disney would taking a stance across the board there's there's evidently even an episode of The Bear Grills Adventure show that she guest start on that is on uh NATO which is a Disney property that has now been caned you can't it's not on Disney plus yeah they've deleted her entirely from their platform that's interesting not only that but this week Twitter decided to put the provocative content filter over uh over her Twitter so essentially she's kind of had a soft ban put on her Twitter as well interesting do you can you look at them if you want to or is how does that work

like does it say I don't know I'm not on Twitter so I don't really know how Twitter Works to Twitter I go I mean I kind of understand but how do I log into it is a shadow B a move isn't it Shadow attempt to address bad faith actors who intend to manipulate or detract from healthy conversation okay so they're just kind of ranking her stuff lower they're not filtering her tweets or anything but you she's just not going to show up if you search for you know facts about covid-19 or something is that I don't know I found a account it also affects house will show up in the search too right it wait is there actual evidence of this cuz this article says it as if it's fact but it's saying Twitter has locked her

account behind a sensitive content filter but what is is there actual evidence that that's a thing I don't know I just looked up on her Twitter feed found it right away and I can see everything yeah oh no no well all right I got a warning it says oh I get a warning too caution this profile may include potentially sensitive sensitive content well wonder why I didn't get that all right so they have done that so that's I remember when um patreon did this to us new's tweet is just hash sensitive content remember patreon did this to us because I guess their their system picked up on the fact that we use a lot of I guess uh innuendo in the show notes and in the titles and they basically thought we we

were adult content they said yeah they flagged as adult content which when I read the the what that means as far as patri goes we're not that cuz we what they mean is the you know the nudity if I was getting my if I was taking my shirt off more and selling those photos yeah they thought maybe our podcast was a little bit sexy and we assured them it wasn't but we were we were blocked from showing up in their search results and from Google if you Googled we would have been blocked from showing our patreon uh because of that so I guess this is the same thing that they've done to her I mean h I know the one the one the thing I'm just finding weird is the removing her from that be Grill's episode removing that be Grill's episode that's yeah and

and yeah I I'm not saying this is the same thing because Jina K is not posting nudes or anything there's perfectly reasonable to to do that because you know what maybe she is Matt maybe she is who knows we'll never know let's well let's find out but this is a little different her tweets are political in nature that's why this becomes a bit of a a bit of a no that's what I'm saying that it's a gray area but it's actually not a gray area she she's posting stuff that's not true like that's not really just political that's just she's just perpetuating nonsense the problem is now that apparently your opinion about science is just as valid as the science you know yeah yeah feelings are worth more than facts so right so I don't know yeah I just yeah the moving of the

a book basically that's about that it's about how he's yeah he's very famous but he's I'd love to read that he's not as rich as you think he is famous doesn't mean Rich yeah he's fine but he doesn't have five houses like and that's on the podcast where was like yeah yeah he's just got the two houses just the two just the just the one in the Hollywood Hills and the one in Hawaii Matt Matt you have two houses mate yeah all right fine yeah Ron come live with me mate I've got a house you can borrow houses yeah yeah I wanted to talk briefly about a show that I watched because Dan you sizzled this a couple times when I mentioned that I only watched the first episode of it I've watched all of Chernobyl now mhm and it's it's just [ __ ] amazing yeah I don't I can't say

enough good things about it except it's a tough recommendation cuz it's dire [ __ ] horrible like you will feel miserable at the end of it it is just an onslaught of like you didn't watch it with Jenna did you no I didn't good no pregnant women should avoid this and just from from the point of view of just I thought I knew I mean I did I did KN I know what happened at Chernobyl but just the extent of it the extent of the lies and negligence and the the [ __ ] onion of just incompetence and and and lies yeah is mindboggling like they almost destroyed Europe and nobody and they didn't tell they wouldn't tell anyone they're like no no what's it gorbachov says in it um uh our power comes from the appearance of our power no one can know about this

like [ __ ] man like they almost killed millions of people just just through negligence yeah and in thousands yeah it's NE negligence in the first instance and then just [ __ ] and then lies about the negligence yeah like the whole thing comes from just people being negligent but thinking oh it's fine because we've got these fallbacks but then those people were negligent and lied about it and then the people before that one NE just just like layers of it just until we get get the point where a [ __ ] nuclear reactor explodes and then they lie about it and they go no it didn't explode it [ __ ] did like even the staff there are lying to each other the boss is like it didn't explode it [ __ ] look at the window mate it's

[ __ ] explode no they can't explode like oh God yeah unfortunately instead of just like owning up to go hey this has happened and bad trying to hide it and it just means the repercussions are worse well there's a really great scene that like sums it up where they're trying to they got to clear all the graphite off the roof and they they get like the [ __ ] Soviet Luna Lander to try and push it and the radiation just fries everything and then they borrow this robot from Germany cuz the Germans say yeah yeah it'll work so they get this robot in and they're like yeah and then it just dies and it turns out it's cuz the Soviet government lied to Germany about the level of radiation and it like it was never going to work and you just the look on all their faces are

like like [ __ ] Jared Harris is [ __ ] brilliant he's amazing yeah but amazing man he just keeps getting better and better I tipped him in Mad Men years ago but then then he did the terror which was great he did this which was great he's in the expanse yeah but you're right there's just so many lines of dialogue in this show that are just oh right as dream this he was it Craig Mason Craig Mason and he's doing the last of us next that's his next big project yeah right it's just beautifully written M like that scene where the the D the human cost of it like but it's they not a lot of money oh just a that [ __ ] about just so many like the the the doer meters they have only go up to like 3600 rocking rocking and they're

like oh yeah that's not so bad and then the guys are like but you can't question authority so the guys like I think that's just what the meter goes up to no no it's fine it's maxed that number that number's fine like no but that's the no it's fine get in there like all right all dead whereas if they had have been like one of the things if they had have been honest at the start they probably would have got more money and funding and help well and but they can't ask the Americans that's that's one of the big themes is like maybe the Americans have something and he's like don't be stupid we ask the West can't even know about this like so they lie about it like there there's 48 hours there where they think it's going to blow up and take out all of Europe and they're like well

don't tell anyone like we can't tell them it's going to happen like we've just got to try and fix it before it happens like I can understand not publicly telling people but no but they lie making governments aware one of the big themes is just it's just lies so crazy that's one of things like if something like that is going to happen telling the public and causing mass panic isn't actually going to help anything mhm and then yeah the fireman they just that that was really upsetting actually cuz that's not a nice way to die and they really sold that like [ __ ] horrific radiation poisoning at that level Christ yeah to shock you both I'm not going to watch this I don't think you should it's got some moments of levity

like there's some funny moments but they're actually not that funny it's just that they're just so nice with everything that's going on like it's a bit where Boris was after the German robot and he smashes the phone cuz he finds out the government lied to the German government about the level of radiation that's why they get so he gets M he smashes the [ __ ] phone and he like drags the out of the office and he's yelling at everybody and then he looks at one guy and he goes I need a new phone and I laughed just because it was just like this little moment it's not that funny but it really was at that moment cuz I was the scene was just so intense anyway yeah loved it Welcome to our comedy podcast and his explanation in court of how it how it

happened is fantastic yes what a great scene yeah Chernobyl hilarious uh I think I will give it a I'd have to read that would or I no no no no no no actually that's my head it's it's they gave people they're all British accents because they didn't want it to sound American but they also realized that if they had people speaking like Ukrainian and Russian the audience would be severely limited so yeah but it works because they kind of like the the working class have working class British accesss yeah you [ __ ] miners are so fantastic the miners are [ __ ] amazing they they the guy in the suit and they all walk past and they give him

give him a pat and he's just all covered in cold dust and [ __ ] it's such it's really great Luke but don't watch it yeah [ __ ] hell it's Bleak it's true if these masks worked you'd be wearing them I'm going to shock the both of you what I'm about to say next mhm mhm I am considering reading a book oh any B in particular or are you just considering trying it out it's not Dione is it no I'm not I'm thinking about reading a book and but what I'm going to stay away from the books I used to read so I used to like read Star Wars um no interest in them anymore eh okay it's not no interest Star Wars there was another series of books I quite liked um like the Halo novels and stuff but I realized going into any of those novels that I

need to have a lot of knowledge to really get the full out so I'm thinking about just words book at random yeah just reading a book and read book yeah reading a good book try it because um just thinking about those kind of franchise books a book will give you the information you need to read it as you read it's amazing sometimes well I tell you what I'm reading right now I'm I'm currently reading um a book called truly like lightning which is written by a novelist by the name of David davney oh and it started out pretty promising I'm about halfway through and I'm really struggling to find reasons to pick it up but uh all right you whatever really the latest David dukov is not good actually his Pros is quite good it's just I kind of he's I just I I

always forget and I just remembered because you said his name that he plays that trans FBI agent in Twin Peaks I always forget that that's a thing David doovy played the um forgot her name but yeah I always forget that was him I forgot about him in general so you don't even know what you're going to read you're just going to read something no I'm just thinking about reading a book okay what kind of B recommendations Matt I yeah Matt and I read enough books that I think between we could recog I like science fiction okay yeah I read a great science fiction book a couple of months ago called roadside picnic which is what stalker is based on ah Chernobyl mhm I can recommend a good science fiction book it's called only

forward that's a good one I can recommend one mhm uh no I can't you recommend it to yourself and you've forgotten I've forgotten it American Gods is in all seriousness anything by Ura Lin it's one of my favorite books I can't remember the name of it that's um Starship Troopers by Robert E heand oh yeah no it's I do love that book it is great it is don't read the road by comic McCarthy you won't like it no unless you want to kill yourself yeah and then go for it read it I read that recently I can't remember Jesus the songs of distant Earth okay oh I don't know I haven't read that you can tell us about that but first mat have you I don't remember it um it's a cour m McCarthy book about a a woman who gets pregnant by her brother

and then oh he puts the baby out in the woods somebody steals it and then she goes psycho so he has to track down the baby for her I don't remember the name of it either I haven't read it I know I know that it exists I've got uhon does this thing right where you buy a Kindle you buy one Kindle book by an author and then they send you yeah yeah it really wants you to do you want the rest of them for like $2 each and I was like well I I do actually so I've got a kind of a queue of kic McCarthy ready to go and that's one of them if you if you don't want to kill yourself um just don't read that one just don't read that one just don't read that's kind of his thing isn't it yeah man it is it is so [ __ ] Bleak he keeps raising the bar on

himself or lowering the bar really does yeah yeah yeah that's the other thing it needs to be cheerful cheerful I think only four is a good one okay I will look into only forward then so what was yours luk what were you recommending to yourself um after Clark novel there's songs of distant Earth was one and there's another one I'm just trying to remember um ah child childhood's end Luke if you want the most fun sci-fi book ever snow crash by Neil Stevenson snow crash is good yeah snow crash is great it's long it's thick snow crash uh in the future it's about a pizza delivery boy um delivering pizzas is so dangerous that they have to be elite

ninjas so he has a samurai sword that he carries with him samurai sword and a Lamborghini um okay he it's really good trying to think what it's actually about it's it's about it's about a drug a digital drug that you can only take while you're in the internet but it kills you in real life y why would someone take that uh you got to read the book many reasons many reasons that you should uh you should look into it's got a guy with a nuclear bike yes y it's great oh he's a great character too all right well first thing I have to do is find my Kindle it's called out of dark Matt avoid it delete it from your Kindle right now okay all right I will going to go find mine charge it and then probably think about it a little bit more decide if you

really want to read a book and what that says about you if you do you're going to be one of those people like Dan and I readers yeah filthy readers I I did used to read and I read quite a lot I'd read like one or two books a week yeah but that's when I was living in Sydney and catching your train to and from work now I don't know reading to me you have to stop what you're doing and read especially on your way to work do you ride a motorbike to work yeah but yeah I could be playing a game or watching television or playing a game and watching television why would I stop and read a book that's the thing I mean that's just one more thing you could be doing yeah but I don't think I can pay attention to three things at once no no no well four things cuz I've got
