I used to run run cross country us play roet league like I even look for as G like in like in year four ran across the country in year four cross country I beat the year six kids like I was very athletic and then I got canc there was also talk when I was playing rugby league before I got cancered that was like I got to slow this kid down but that I might go and start playing for like the sou Juniors or something which was like the feed a program to go up because I had that the speed the heart when you say there was talk who was saying this um there was Scout people in my team have no no people I've played football with some of them went on to have NRL careers really yeah and why South Sydney and and I guess I've never

quite known why souths is your team when we're all from the same place and it's not South Sydney it's yeah it's what I was brought up supporting so my dad supported it so I was a South Sydney fan I think his family sort of came from that area and then he used to hold on that's I don't uh yeah so they played penth so going to turn my phone off now yeah cuz unfortunately just about everyone we know is from penrith including us mhm yeah so I mean Dan are we supposed to be mocking Luke at this point yeah maybe do do you even know who plays on the pen team I don't know who plays on any team some Panthers see I don't think you can mock if you don't follow the sport

right but but I've put my phone in my little pouch now yeah that's the other thing I want to hear about does Andrew eding still play the sport ET I met ET on Christmas in 9 I play his video as a kid Andrew wedl Andrew eding house yeah he was he came visit me in hospital in hospital for Christmas was he there the same day Tom and Nicole were there no that a different day in the fact that this is the first time we're hearing about this what are celebrities came and just didn't meet the sliding scale of Tom Cruz and Nicole Kidman yeah um we had some people from Full House what oh okay which people from Full House the twins or the guy that

my name's James stas and I'm going to inject you with this yeah you might have heard of John stos well I'm not him and this is going to be off pting you might have heard of medicine this isn't medicine yeah I actually honestly think I'd be a bit of a different person if I didn't get cancer and went on I'm getting that impression I'm getting so what you're saying is the only reason you're even friends with us is because cancer made you a nerd pretty much yeah cuz that's where most of my gaming really kicked off was in 91 when I'm in hospital every second week yeah right you play games I would have been a sports head and I probably would have yelled abuse at you guys did you ever meet War

kapper [ __ ] not did you did I can't believe they let War Kappa into a [ __ ] hospital to visit children also like 30 years ago that's why I was think aort who's a sportsman who definitely did that stuff as War Kappa yeah yeah the sports seems they sort of do that as their Community sort of trying to be nice to people and kids and nice to people and kid and they go out now now they go into Coke they used to drink back in the day yeah know they just beat up a bunch of people yeah as well they do gang rapes oh they they don't they don't do that much anymore that's been a while it's frowned on now is it yeah yeah they they come down pretty hard on that they also come down on when you're doing uh you go out to a high school to be like an

ambassador and stuff meet and then get phone numbers off the girls and meet up with them for sex later they frown upon that as well for some reason yeah it's funny that isn't it yeah that happened every it was all legal but it just does not set a good good look I'm gross out that you even said that it's it was legal like well no no what I'm saying is where they have to be like technically no laws were broken likey the guy from the expans who was like doing that conventions nothing illegal about it it's gross man the reason why the reason why it wasn't like we had like a 30-year-old picking up like a 16year old it was like a couple of 20y olds and a couple of 18y olds like it wasn't uh yeah okay completely but it doesn't look good yeah and then they got fired but

that would pretty sure it was implied when they were sent to that school to not [ __ ] the yeah to just not [ __ ] anyone I forgot to tell them I guess on the way there I don't got to a lot of schools but anywhere I do get sent for work the the the subtext is and don't [ __ ] anyone you know well I I have a scenario go on so I sort of got caught up with this and it was quite weird because I'd slept with a girl who was going to a high school I wasn't School more okay so it's but like I was they were 18 I was like 20 or something mhm but then I got a job where I had to go to that high school to work on stuff right and she came up to

talk to me and I'm going I cannot talk to you here like you have to go away like cuz I didn't know I was going to do work at that school or anything and no you can't have a quick yo you can't come up and kiss me on the cheek no right and and that was the day that Luke learned that you can't silence a Woman by just telling her it's not okay to talk to you yeah situation was that when you worked at Toys R Us no this is I had a very short career where I was helping someone do like maintenance on the school like you know when you got the hooks in the changing rooms that always break it's replacing that stuff stra to the CH room doing maintenance on the children yeah so you were Ground keeper Wily's assistant oh pretty much yeah you'd make a good ground keeper

will willly except for the filming people in secret can you do a Scottish accent of course you can whoops there it of course I can do a Scottish accent what do you think this is so my um my daughter has Ginger eyebrows which is making her mother incred she's got a an accent accent one with a Scottish accent yeah where where so so so she's got Ginger eyebrows that's awesome yeah yeah so uh you know what we had this funny moment the other day where we went into and now this wasn't some random place we were seeing our I was about to say paleontologist what's the name of the [ __ ] doctor you you take kids to podiatrist uh pediatrist yeah pedri

ped pediatrition that's the one pediatrist is not the correct word for some reased Dro head you're not going there I'm not going sorry we're seeing it yeah seeing a pediatrician for the first time at his office right we'd seen him before at a hospital we seeing him at his office so we were meeting his receptionist for the first time right and we we bring her in we're like half a Miller she's like okay she's ticking her off she's like oh she looks in and then she says she she looks at the baby she looks at H and looks at me and then says strange your baby's not fair or dark and there was this long pause where I wanted to say yeah she's mixed race she's a combination of both our races

you [ __ ] we just a b doesn't matter Any Which Way what color her she is unless she's unless she's yellow with comments on sorry what did you say Luke unless it's yellow you know it no he means he means jaist oh okay all defense I'm pretty sure he means jisk move exactly what I meant let's move on moving on I was not referring to that I just I think that's what she did mean Luke is what it's kind of what I'm [Music] implying oh that sounds so wrong

oh man oh my God I can't I can't I'm in pain I'm in literal pain I'm so sorry not my intention she she did have joined us when she was born actually she spent the night under a blue light and she's fine now so that's good yeah yeah they did that they oh my God that was good that was excellent yeah that is an odd thing to point out or to to make to mention to make it any comment on to seem strange to me yeah like if if there wasn't any discrepancy which should be like oh your baby's black you know what I mean like

oh you your baby is this or that like why bring it up at all and what is confusing you check out honestly you're the receptionist you have no idea what's going on on that door so yeah keep your mouth shut but is it's like there was a form she had to tick race and it was just a few a few vague terms and she was really confused about which one she lot of form where' you really get the baby yeah where'd you really get this baby cuz I'm not buying it doesn't look like either of you looks it almost looks like you two combined I don't understand that's right yeah one or the other one specific person yeah so I am trying something new out on the Xbox M cuz I'm mean like the testing beta Alpha skip

ahead I forget which one I am I do some testing for Xbox every now and again when they release stuff one thing that they've actually come out and some of the Insiders have now is cloud gaming on the Xbox okay nice which it's quite interesting so I don't have to download the game but I can start playing it okay it runs like yeah and it runs quite well but they do have like a caveat that will run better installing yeah so with some of the games that come out it's only for Game Pass games at the moment and even a select number of them but that would sort of be awesome like if you could start playing the game see and have it downloading in the background yeah so when you get those midnight releases or the 10: a.m. whenever release is you

could actually just jump straight in and start playing if you wanted to that's would okay you can play it on your phone and that right yeah so that's pretty neat phone PC anything now yeah to me I just end up starting a whole lot of games I didn't finish because at least having to download a game means you're committing to that to playing that sure yeah cuz yeah with the size of the hard drives they fill up very quickly I cannot I can't have as many games on my um no I just had to clear a whole bunch series X I'm actually really hoping that they release an external storage that's bigger than one um terabyte soon I think they will but it's going to be prohibitively expensive I think that's why it's going to be ridiculously expensive guys I'm dropping out for two

seconds to go get some ventil because you that laughing just literally gave me an a I'll be right back yeah cuz that high speeded storage is very expensive still yeah but it's it's it's so worth it yeah I know people get grumpy about it like I could buy an SSD for you know 100 bucks but that's not what it is it's like the M2 like uh you know they are it's there will be some third party storages coming out soon sort of coming up but I love it because I went back to start playing uh Assassin's Creed Valla today and I have not played this game for like three four months or something quick resume oh it just starts yeah it's great just started where I was like wow like I've had updates on this shut down restarted numerous times and it just went here you

go yeah what I particularly like about it too is that you can essentially pause a game that you couldn't otherwise create a save point for oh sure you know like you you're in a situation where you're like I need to walk away and come back to this I need to go do something if I save and quit I'll be back at the last checkpoint mhm yep now I just turn the machine off yeah I wouldn't trust it for a long period just in case because I have had if it doesn't update it'll boot you out I've had that happen to me sometimes it has happened like I wouldn't rely on especially for say something like 3 months old I got such the shock yeah that's surprising that that's cool though so do you know when is that being released to the public do you know um as plebs

probably in um maybe about 3 months all right maybe by the end of the year did you just make that up oh okay and yeah yeah okay all right dep depends on how testing goes and stuff like that yeah depends on your feedback which you're doing I submitted some feedback that it isn't quite the greatest yet I was having a bit of lag right one game and then I was getting sort of it was yeah rendering a bit weird at some stages so they're working on it I still don't think we'll the next Xbox or Playstation will be just a virtual thing at all I still think there will be another console okay because things just run better when they're installed there always has to be a console there will always be lag no matter how fast the internet gets there will always be that lag with your inputs

cuz it's going to go back you make you hit a it's going to go back to server yeah thing then come back to you they'll always be that millisecond and sometimes that's the difference yeah I mean eventually then might get rid of it but I don't see that happening for at least another decade okay especially with Competitive Gaming trying to push and trying to raise up you can't you can't afford that can't afford a millisecond the Starcraft players that are just like that stuff's insane well even I heard like with the fighting games uh the characters don't look when people playing fighting games in a tournament they don't look at their character at all they're looking at the other person's character cuz they know where they are and they're looking sort of

also like a a centimeter in front to see what move they're about to do wow really that's those guys are crazy don't focus on the finger it's like a combination of uh chess and SK shooting I am never going to be that good at any game now you did say that you just wanted to hear about my new bag I was about to say you did mention that you put your phone in a bag and then you before we started recording you said that it was a magic bag of some sort and I want to hear more about it yeah I mean by the look of it I would call that a clutch so what what this is is this is a bag I went through Kickstarter four it's called PA p o zzz right and it's to try it's designed for children Andes and that's why you have one makes sense if

you put your phone away it connects through Bluetooth and then we'll show how long your phone's been away for okay and it's meant to be like a reward thing for kids okay like you put your phone away for this amount of time you can spend that amount of time on the Xbox on the weekend or during the week try to get people off screens okay and give stats and everything and I got it for myself cuz I wanted to try and start reducing my screen time yeah how are you going to put your your phone that is the screen time you're using the most cuz I've never seen you you're not on social media at all no you can't put your Xbox and your Telly in there can you I do do a lot on my phone if I can't work at a game to play or a movie to watch I'm scrolling on my phone Instagram Reddit

that type of stuff and I'm not doing anything at all so I'm sort of trying to do it where to get that out of the picture so I can focus on stuff that's actually better than just watching a YouTube video yeah cuz you go down a you go down a RIT those things can for sure yeah I got I've gotten into these uh YouTube uh you know Bushman kind of videos you know where someone who goes out for like 3 days just does Bushcraft that's like some guy in the [ __ ] Scandinavian Wilderness with just an Axe and a Polish lavoo canvas tent lives like a cave makes like a little hot tent and I [ __ ] mesmerized by that I just sit there and watch this bearded Scandinavian Cho wood for 20 minutes and

that's what I'm trying to get yeah a guy made his own [ __ ] Clay Oven it's not Bertram is it this I think he's a Finnish guy yeah and he's like musular the same man yeah odly surprising really but yeah no I got super into those even to the point where I was like I wonder if I could go do that somewhere and then I was like I'm not going to do that yeah I would die yeah instantly I would die a bear would eat me fun though and there's an Australian guy who does them too oh yeah and he's got one where he's in the Pillager oh I know people who just go and watch people catch a train what what those long super long train Journeys there's like YouTube videos where people just film themselves and the window of

them on a train oh like time lapse yeah um I'm not sure it's time no I think it's real time [ __ ] hell okay yeah my favorite just one of those things that you can't look away from right my favorite thing about the kind of the bushcrafty exploring kind of ones is you've got so there's this Aussie guy who does it they're quite good I can't remember the name but uh I'll I'll try if I remember I'll put in the show notes give him a bit of a link to him because his videos are good they're interesting but he's filming himself obviously right he's out in the bush on his own and so there'll be a shot where he's like all right guys I'm going to go I'm going to canoe up the river a bit so he gets in puts his stuff in the canoe and he gets

in and he like pushes off and he's like looking around dramatically and you see him moving off down the river and I I always think he's got to go back for that camera yeah yeah yeah yeah and then later on he's going to have to get to a put the camera there yeah run back and then float down towards it yeah ex and then walk in like he he's surprised by what he finds a camera know what's that doing here there's a great video by nerd Rider um on that vlogger is it Casey Casey n Casey case nice I'm talking about casy nice D that's it um yeah rer doeses a little video essay about that exact phenomenon is that he makes it look like he's making [ __ ] up on the Fly that he couldn't possibly have not set up he his his video I mean

he doesn't do as much anymore Casey ni I don't think but is he sold his he sold his brand for a billion dollar yeah but his videos were very well done in that regard like they felt very casual but they clearly if you think about it they were not casual that's a good trick but that's yeah the Wilderness ones crack me up cuz it's like it was always you know like Bear Grills always made me laugh too you know with the whole like I've I've ABS sailed down to this Canyon there's no other way here like how'd you get the [ __ ] camera crew down there then yeah yeah yeah yeah they're not all sleeping in where the hell is that truck how's the catering truck getting out then mate well I watched uh I watched lockdown the uh the episode of grand

tour yeah I enjoyed that one it as some previous but still enjoyable but what I like about those is I mean clearly some things are set up like The Producers go okay you're going to have to build a bridge to get across here fine yeah that all is plan ahead in time they clearly don't do take twos because you know one of them drives in as their big reveal of their car and their boots open instead of going go and do it again with your [ __ ] boot closed they just leave it in yeah yeah and it's or is it just the fact that they are so well together that it does feel like that's a joke actually happen or they just able to act that well yeah like you know I think it's that one where is it Clarkson's trailer comes off the back of the car like yeah

they must have organized for that right I know some St they have and some even a shock to them sometimes and they're just so good with each other that you can't tell yeah it's like when they see Top Gear and you see Australia Top Gear and s of like they're doing the same stuff and it's just yeah so awkward I've worked on reality shows and they have been not scripted per se but only because the people the people in front of the camera are the only people who don't know exactly what's going on right right they're reacting in situations so their reactions are real but everything is completely staged yeah okay like like all the on where you see what they accidentally ran into this person here and who could have guessed well it's a bit weird that they miked up

and got camera following them but I accident I did see it was a YouTube video by a guy who it this was probably on one of those bushcrafty kind of uh Rat holes it was a guy who was on one of those sort of Survivor like shows it was one of those ones where they dump you in the wilderness and you have to make your way across I think they dumped him in Africa somewhere and he had to make his way to you know kind of the extraction Zone and it took them like a week or something like that and people could like tag out tap out if they were had enough and they would a lift them out but they had a crew with them and I do remember uh I'm saying you just reminded me there was a film crew and the film crew did have food and stuff prepared but they weren't allowed to

share it with them and they actually weren't supposed to eat near them they were supposed to like go away because they weren't these people were supposed to survive on their own and then apparently there was one point there was like a an argument broke out because some film crew person had like a Snickers bar or something like that and some of the the talent were [ __ ] furious about it cuz these guys they're eating the Snickers while they're like Starving in the jungle yeah he's like I don't want that in front of me yeah what the [ __ ] you doing I can understand that yeah stay away from reality television is what I'm taking from this I don't know man I'll tell you what if you want some good television I got two great shows for you this week okay that's good

because I'm kind of at a loss now have you guys did I mention early murders in the building I might have mentioned it already no it's on Hulu and it is Steve Martin Martin Short and Selena Gomez and I need to see this they live in an apartment building it was Selena Gomez that that broke it for for Luke no no no it was the St Martin and Martin Short they live in buing in New York and they they discover they become friends because they discover they all love the same podcast that's about a murder and then and then there's a death in the building that they think might be a murder they take it on themselves and they decide to start a podcast the three of them what okay and it's [ __ ] great I haven't i' not all the episodes are out so there I think there's two to go

but it's [ __ ] great oh D he is on Disney oh is it okay that's interesting we got oh because I guess Disney owns Hulu that makes sense I guess and we don't yeah we don't have a separate app they just combined everything into one app in Australia okay which still is bit confusing well I yeah I highly recommend it it's great it's funny I'm going to watch I do love the mountain it's just like it's what I guess what you would expect and and I'm guessing Luke could be into it cuz he's been watching The Three Amigos again Gomez yeah might guess CH Chase wasn't available so they got the next best thing she Selena Gomez speaking of the Martins Matt now that you have a daughter [ __ ] dare you to watch

Father of the Bride I put it on a few weeks ago and uh man that's a tear jerker that is a tear jerker interesting lovely wonderful it's funny that's the second time this week that movies come up cuz a listener a friend of a listener is in that movie so I got to watch it again really yeah you want to say literally anything about that second mention of that this week actually you know why because I mentioned only murders in the building I bet I bet that's probably the same reason I they came up before well I think that sounds fun I'm definitely going to give that a watch tomorrow are you allowed to say who it is that's in the film um which character they play it's been so long since I've seen it now I have to look it up uh George

Newburn for some reason I thought you're were talking about a female being in it yeah okay you know someone who knows George Newburn I believe I do if I've got that wrong that person will correct me I'm sure but I believe that is the case pretty cool it was uh great in this and then not in anything else ever as far as I can tell I'm sure I'll be corrected on that too if that's incorrect we're looking we can do some followup oh I'm sure he's done many other things just uh he was in the sequel oh yeahh there you go and also evidently there's a short for Father of the Bride part three oh like the reunion thing I think no no idea well the other thing I'll definitely check out uh that and what

else do you got the other thing you guys should watch Dan in particular I don't know uh Luke might like it you never know you can never tell you never it's a midnight mass on Netflix and it's [ __ ] fantastic it's so good I um didn't know anything about it actually no like you would like it cuz it's got role Coe in it you like him yes I do and I've I've been watching a lot of his stuff on Instagram talking about it and does look good so don't say anything because I I didn't know I didn't know what this was beyond just the kind of s so I think they've done a really good job of not ruining what this is so I don't want to say anything else ex say a goddamn thing I'll watch it all after

this okay good cuz do I have to watch anything else before I no that's what's great about it it's it's cuz what was the pre the premise there like a a new priest comes to a small town and and then there's a bunch of mystery that's all that's that's basically what I knew about it and I was like based on that I'd watch it anyway and I knew it was Mike Flanigan who's the guy who did MH Haunting of Hill House and the haunting of blind mana and Gerald's Game and um what else did he was something else he's done some good [ __ ] and but I I think this is the best thing he's done in my opinion for me it was it really landed for me so into it very why was still on television yes have you guys watched the thing that everyone's sort of going

crazy about I know exactly what you're going to say and know I haven't seen it you know what I don't even know what it is I've seen a TR I saw a trailer on everyone on Facebook is talking about it yeah Netflix watch it I will I watched it a week ago and didn't know it was going to take off like it did but it was actually interesting and it was you should give it a watch it's very predictable right but also quite strange so the prose of the game is they get all the purpose of the movie is they get all these well TV series sorry they get all these people who are in debt and like enough that that they'll never be able to pay it off like they're down on their luck this is it they get brought into to play a game you join the game this scripted right this not a game show this is

scripted sced you join the game if you get and and they if you get eliminated from the game bit of a spoiler alert but it's in the trailer I think you get killed get eliminated from you get killed yeah well and every assum that the for every person who gets killed there you that person's life is worth 100 million one all right okay and the running man yeah no the running man/ Battle Royale SL all that kind of stuff so definitely Battle Royale and it was interesting but as I said very predictable you you know exactly where it's going but it's also interesting watching a South Korean movie cuz it's not hasn't been changed for like the Western audience which Western a always wants the happy ending and down so

definitely give it a watch it's okay it's fun yeah weird see I wasn't sure when when things get super overhyped I never know whether it's worth checking out or not if I don't like it I'll be annoyed they didn't like it and annoyed that everyone does like it cuz I've what I think it popped up early in my watch like if this a watch cuz I have been watching a few of the Korean movies lately yeah oh and that's why I think got bed up for me I love watching movies from like other cultures without any context it's got such a different take oh Koreans are on another [ __ ] planetz it's definitely like the west of where the hero will always save the day and the D they will the hero will get together with them and all that stuff that doesn't happen in these I'm looking

up this movie now I actually bought it on iTunes because it was so good cuz I watched it and I was like this movie is [ __ ] awesome it's called riger Morse and it's about an eerie chilling contemporary action special effects lad in homage to the classic Chinese vampire movies of the 1980s oh okay it's [ __ ] awesome this from about 10 years ago yeah it could be yeah yeah okay oh it looks pretty cool it's [ __ ] because because it's it's so like they don't explain things because I guess they already know you know what I mean they know all their ownin vampires do they jump yes do they hop and like there like if you put blood on string it can stop them and there's just all these little things that it's just like I guess they just know those

Legends and stuff like that but when I'm watching it I'm like this is [ __ ] rad like what is that such a great that's great do you get it's like another cultural take on it like and the vampires have to count the grains of rice I learned about some of that in ch in Chinese their kind of vampire myths and zombie myths are kind of combined so they're they're sort of the same but when I was doing my um comedy series in Singapore there was one episode where I basically turned it into a zombie movie and so we had all these extras and we're like okay you're zombies and you're coming for the girl and action and then they all started hopping and I was like what the actual [ __ ] is going on and everyone's like dude they hop I'm like oh okay you just sure we're doing

what you asked us to do you said be a zombie so here I am hopping that's what a zombie does what did you expect there was also when I was a kid there was a uh Chinese vampire movie I guess that I watched with a friend of mine and it was again it was the same thing cuz they were yelling about you got to get back into your n before the sun comes up and and like just we were just like what is going on but it's just so fascinating like without without any explanation just like Dropped In The Deep End into this whole other Supernatural culture [ __ ] awesome that's what George Lucas said yeah when he was talking about Star Wars and particularly with THX 1138 to he wanted to make a movie about the future that felt like a foreign film that's yeah that's that feeling I guess I'm

talking about where you don't know what's going on you can kind of figure out the gist of it and that's all you need really yeah yeah because it's not like you make you watch a foreign film and they're like yeah explaining every little thing to you about their culture yeah this particular meal is called blah and it's a traditional blah blah like yeah no you just accept oh they're all sitting around a table this is a thing yeah because of course bad science fiction just puts the word space in front of things to describe what they are my space horse yeah oh to space vampire yeah it's hopping right at me space hopping look while before we leave TV um I think maybe there are a few episodes

behind cuz sometimes listeners will start at the beginning they can't start at the beginning they started episode 100 or wherever you can go back to and they listen but one of our Hollywood listeners has obviously had a listen and gone oh okay Luke wants a Babylon 5 reboots so um even though the creators have definitely said they're definitely never ever doing a reboot um looks like maybe they are and I am excited because it's it's not like a normal reboot that you you see really where it's like another shio or someone else is going to do a reboot the actual creator of babyon 5 is coming back and doing it again and so I'm excited for 2018 he

that he's coming back to do it because one thing I'm interested in is how long it's going to go for because in the original babyon 5 he set stuff up in season 1 that didn't come back to a couple of Seasons later how many seasons of B5 were there there was five okay okay oh so I'm interested to see cuz and he was there was no ad liing allowed on the show right because he had this whole planned worked out so everyone had to stick to thep all terrible actors something yeah stand on your ex and say your lines yeah sorry all for this I am bring it on please so I mean this is 100% confirmed yeah from what I've I'm seeing complete reboot or are they going to just create

something else in the same universe I think it's going to be a complete reboot H because they've done a few spin-off movies and stuff after so I think they have to go yep speaking of complete reboots I've been thinking about what we talked about on our episode a few weeks ago Luke when we were talking about James Bond being a code name and not a man oh yeah and I've been thinking that if they did go along with that if they did do a film just call it code name James Bond and just explain that each of these you know connory and Roger Moore and all of these would just all different characters but just assuming this role it could even out a lot of the kind of plot holes that

they've created over the years like I was got to remember like a spy isn't going to walk out and go hey this is my real name for St that's a popular misconception James Bond is not a spy spies are photocopy clerks in embassies he's a secret agent which is different but you are right you are right although they do address that in the books Bon says that he always says his real name because he knows that whoever is tailing could easily just research him and if they find that he's been using a false name then they'll not trust him which because that would make more sense today than it would have oh yeah when the book been written yeah no Google but just little things like I remember in you only liveed twice money Penny Chucks Bond

Chinese for dummies uh book and he goes you forget I took a first in Ori Oriental languages at Cambridge whereas in D another day um he's about to type something on a keyboard and he realizes it's in Chinese and he goes to Michelle yo oh you'll have to do it right you know what I mean and it would make sense it's like okay one speaks Chinese one doesn't and then it got me thinking right there's one movie that pretty much just admits that this theory is true and that is on a Majesty's Secret Service which is the first time another actor played James Bond other than connory yeah Len be for starters there's this opening sequence where he fights a bunch of dudes and rescues a woman on a beach right then when he's finally got all the guys down he turns to the camera and

says this never happened to the other fell and it's supposed to be just like a tongue and cheek little joke but but you could take that to to be a definite proof not only that he meets blofeld for the first time in that film then Len be quits the studio on pays Shan Conor a massive amount of money to come back for one more it's diamonds are forever he meets blowfield in that movie and blofeld doesn't remember him okay now if you ask the film like are going to say it's because those books were written the other way around right okay so when we made diamonds are forever there's a scene where they get introduced for the first time but you've already made that movie right you know

it would it would be nothing for you to just take that one line out yeah not only that the opening scene where Bond he meets M and this kind of stakeholder that sends him on the mission to find the diamonds and he says to bond how is your holiday imp that he hasn't been there for a while yeah I imagine it's supposed to be like a wink at the a andek yeah yeah but it all adds up if you keep that Cod name James Bond theory in mind all right well it'll all work and I think they should do it and just SL it like that and Away you go whatever yeah at this point up until Daniel Craig and then he kind of throws it out the window but yeah it doesn't doesn't won't hurt anyone and that Phoebe do a great job that Phoebe that Phoebe that Phoebe yeah yeah that Phoebe whatever her name

is I've seen her and stuff she's good why not yeah I saw something that was really good this week I watched Jungle Cruise now this might be the first time I've ever watched The Rock movie before Luke I don't know why I watched this but it was really really good what okay I just completely skipped it cuz it's like a family kids movie enough to watch it yet Dan's got she watched it with me yeah exactly so you know tonally it's the same as say The Rocketeer okay right so yes family movie yes for kids but still well-made just good storytelling really great adventure movie okay pi this right

fade in it's the Disney castle like all Disney movies start right except Metallica Nothing Else Matters is playing okay but an Orchestral Version and I googled this later Metallica re-recorded their parts for Nothing Else Matters to be woven into the score so the score is partially written by Metallica what I'm not joking jungle Cru I'm not making this the the Disney just came out with the rock and Emily Blunt yes Emily Blunt is amazing she is charming as [ __ ] what the [ __ ] is this movie I also think they they they I think they had a lot of fun making it cuz you sort of seen the Press promos that they're sort of playing with each other and whoa yeah it's um look it's going to get called an Indiana Jones ripoff right but I

realized that there's as much time between this and Indiana Jones as there was between Indiana Jones and all of the Republican Cals it blatantly stole from right so I think it's okay I think Indiana Jones is basically public domain now but this movie was great great action great dialogue it yeah it was just really good just really just a good movie all right okay I might give it a watch cuz I cuz I know a lot of people were shocked that I hadn't say cuz it's got The Rock in it but yeah I really thought it was like kids movie so I really interest me not Aid movie but I mean apparently not no it's not not a kids movie but it's just a really good one there's some dark bits in it there's some it's it's like Pirates of the

Caribbean it's that that tone just family [ __ ] love that that's where the idea came from a ride at Disneyland isn't it yeah yeah well you're exactly right I really hope though because I I really hope they don't just now Force the rock into the Jungle Cruise ride cuz that's missing the point in the same way as they forc Jack Sparrow they so going to I know but it doesn't need to but I just really love the aesthetic too of like turn of the century explorers you know yeah see that stuff all sounds interesting all right I guess I'm going to watch this now all right I'll watch it and I'll check in next week to let you know look if you guys can both watch it and report back and tell me whether I'm just insane whether I was just sleep deprived

terrifying speaking of terrifying some news came out this week Ridley Scott I'm concerned about Ridley Scott mentally now Ridley has a new film coming out looks interesting yeah he does but then after that what's he going to do he's doing retire he's going to do Gladiator 2 apparently is he going to do the Nick Cave script where Maximus fights his way through hell I don't think I think he it's he's doing a movie about um the kid it's um does Russell come back no I haven't seen the first one so he's dead I just K he's call it too he's calling it Gladiator 2 and I'm like don't call it that Gladiator 2 Judgment Day I just don't look sure make another movie there but doesn't have to

be a sequel to glal movie yeah oh ' done ancient Rome do one in ancient Greece Ridley is doubling up like he's doing his alien prequels and now his next movie is something Jewel Jewel something something and like his first movie was the Duelists yeah the last jeel yeah it I mean apparently the last jewel is very good but it looks great I don't know I just like Gladiator 2 what are you doing that for it's a gladiator is the story of a guy and it's complete and it's done like don't why are you going back to that for like and so and now like it's been a very long time yeah it's not like he needs he's [ __ ] desperate like it's rley Scott pitching stuff and then saying no and he's like fine I'll do a sequel to Gladiator and

the studios like I mean I'm sure Russell Crow needs the money maybe he wants to buy Spielberg's boat yeah that's true just so odd although he did say um he did when he wanted to do Prometheus he didn't want to do an alien movie but then they said he had to theyve I think the the internet was going it's an alien movie you have to have aliens and then you got to throw that in and then then you get that little throwback at the end yeah well he cuz he wanted to make a movie about you know people discovering that just yeah just in hum were planted here by aliens and then they were like yeah so a sequel a prequel to alien and he was like No And the studio was like it is if you want the money it is see I would have been

fine with it just being the prequel but just skipping the part where there's the alien at the end and well that's David you should read David sp's original script which is called alien engineers and it was exactly that and um and the planet they were on was LV 426 space ax SpaceX and then yeah yeah SpaceX yeah cuz in the end they smushed two scripts together to make Prometheus yeah Lindelof scripts yes spring in uh and goes wouldn't it be mysterious if it wasn't that if it was clearly that but it wasn't that yeah I think I think rley Scott gave him it and said make this less about aliens now I do love I love it a lot yeah I I really do like it but I would have liked it I think a little bit more if it didn't have lindel off's

[ __ ] Mystery Box sprinkles on it sure sure just upset about the sequel cuz it was not the movie I was expecting I agree we're missing one I liked it yeah yeah we want that movie in the middle I think would have been awesome to be clear that's the movie he want what you're asking for Luke is a Trilogy I just want to be clear I'm not asking for a Trilogy I'm asking for a sequel there two you're asking for a third one no I don't want the third one I want to watch the sequel and then we can talk about a third one the third one's already made I know it's such is so frustrating right because the end of the Prometheus right it's like they go off and they're going to meet the engineers and we're going to learn about them and then at the start of the next

one it's like all right they got there and they kill them all so like the big you wanted you can't have that we made it so that you can never the character you liked dead the characters you thought you were going to meet also dead yeah off screen [ __ ] hell yeah you'll never get the bit that you wanted then there's a movie called alien Covenant Origins right s a book which is set between the two right came out which I read no it's about the people getting ready to get on the Covenant to go and find the thing I wasted 200 Pages not learning about the [ __ ] Engineers that's like are they doing it on purpose are they intentionally just [ __ ] skipping around the bit that we actually want to know about which is the the engineers look imagine me stop skipping

over my ideas maybe that's coming and this is the best subtle like most ingenious hype campaign they've ever created for any movie maybe Gladiator 2 will have finally will meet the yeah man I would love if Ridley Scott as he got as he I mean maybe he is going cile but eventually he just get he starts confusing all of his films and we just get oh yeah this [ __ ] Maximus and decard and [ __ ] Ripley like it's just this massive crossover on a road trip through space to meet the engineers de yeah in a Cadillac yeah

space Cadillac space Cadillac yeah I would watch the [ __ ] out of that Matthew absolutely rley Scott presents yeah grab B britley Scott's brain the movie look this is a uh a a slight segue because this takes place on the planet Ridley which I assume is a there's a subtle nod but there's a no this is an issue of Star Wars Adventures the comic series that's currently out where mace Wu and his gang called the lightning Squadron okay um go to the planet Ridley uh to see what's going going on there um and people are angry um because if you click on this link and just scroll down to the picture

of mawi do it's like somebody's gone how did they draw black people in the 1920s oh God that's very odd yeah huh this is the this is the kind of racist caricature that is is in those old cartoons that you only see when they're in can you believe this was on who signed this off that's very odd Jesus Christ and this is one of the times it's not like the internet taking something and twisting it to try and this is yeah just flat out terrible is he is this how he looks in the whole comic or is this like I did a quick little surface search

and couldn't find any more images other than in other panels here we is so strange that someone yeah like decided that was the ears the nose like Lord resemblance to yeah no yeah okay I don't really know what to say about it other than big no big no no yeah big it's a hard no right it's a hard no for this how did that make a past QA very not going to be writing any more comics for Disney yeah oh it [ __ ] hell just read um this is example from the issue where the artist has exaggerated to show the sudden movement of the character jumping in front of lightning Squadron in other panels ma Windu looks much more like the actor who played him yeah I've clicked

through and had a look at these and he does but it's still clearly the first time this artist has ever drawn a person of color and I think just some care needs to be taken that perhaps wasn't taken here I'm not saying this artist is intentionally racist but this is just a little too close for comfort to the old kind of Jim Crow probably needs a bit of education on the I think he's getting Google search yeah he's definitely getting it now he he's he's being crucified at this point and my guess is probably say she shut down all his social media I would hope so or she or she we don't I'm sure we don't know oh yeah there that's correct Luke guess check out the latest issue of Mace

Windu and his lightning squad or quickly buy one now because there's going to be a reprint yeah with a different picture okay could someone while we're on Star Wars can someone explain this to me Lucy Lawless says fans may have caused her a thises great in Star Wars this is a article I read this week so uh Lucy Lawless it was in an interview recently and she said um when Gina corano I was going to say it got fired but I you know not fired but just not yeah when Disney was like n no more thanks to contracts for you right uh there there was a big fan movement to replace her with Lucy Lawless as that character um what's that character's name who cares um

carun carun uh buffing thebian no that's Lucy Lawless we're talking about so there was a big fan campaign and I think you know like a online petition or whatever to replace Gina Carano with Lucy Lawless and Lucy Lawless said recently that actually she was already in talks with Disney to do something with Star Wars and actually because of that because of that fan backlash and the the the stuff they had to cancel it all because it would look like Disney was pandering to these people uh so and I don't understand why you be trying to get Lucy laws to replace her I'd like Lucy laws her own character well that's I think that's she was in talks to do something else and then Disney were like actually this is not going to look good now because of

all this going on so we might have to sh that's so counterintuitive though isn't it it's like we were going to do this and the people have made it very clear that they want this so we're not going to do it cuz that'll teach you a bad lesson yeah yeah it's interesting and the internet needs to learn the internet needs to settle down with some of its stuff you need to learn to react better and to be fair to kill themselves it's not the way she's saying that's her perception of what happened maybe it wasn't quite like that but she said she seems pretty clear that she thinks that's what happened so I like Lucy laws I also like Lucy law last thing I saw him was evil dead yeah she great yeah and before that battle start Galactica oh of course I forgot about that

for and George [ __ ] punching him he's like get out get out that's like I didn't even knew George Lucas was that funny yeah he has started in a funny movie Beverly Hills Cop 3 was funny he was a he was an extra in bever Hills Cop 3 yeah which is just the weirdest Cameo ever but he was a driver right he was a person at the fairground it wasn't a like a motor racing scene no he was just a customer at the fairground in oh really yep there's something he cameos in as a like as a race car driver but that's because that's his hobby that he does on the side yeah no this was just he was at a

theme park with his partner or something and says something I forget what it is but yeah it's just so Random well he's now an action figure as well this the past yeah okay well he's now this is like one of those it is awesome though but actually the original time they did this you couldn't buy it you could only get it if you bought the entire rest of the series am I right in saying that Luke I thought it was a giveaway a special thing a Comic-Con or something oh was it it was something and it was it was it was uh George Lucas was in an X-Wing pilot outfit right oh okay well this is better and I kind this this does say this is ex sorry uh he was commander Georg sackle which is name backwards spelled like an alien who was
