standing too close together a they were just both standing around one monitor SP into each other eyeballs I say just like that's that's you spread the virus is you stand you get too close to each other so still Justified but uh yeah there is one thing that is annoying about all these actors though and with the stuff they're filming cuz in Australia it's still people are still having trouble getting home but then actors are allowed to fly in still oh sure and then quarantine at their residences where other people have to quarantine at the a hotel it's like damn when you came back you would not be allowed to quarantine anywhere else apart from that hotel they took you to that you don't get pick but a lot of actors are coming in and then getting

quarantining their nice house up to the coast and all this you should have written actor on the form when you were coming you have written Tom Cruz as the name yeah and just y people together I do understand why they probably are getting bumped up the Leist it's not because they're celebrities it's because they're bringing work with them yeah and also CU they're they're beautiful people so just they're bringing work with them going but it just feels bad when you've got like a family tra somewhere that can't come back it's costing them a fortune and then you just got Tom Hanks flying in and going hey guys got Co Johnny Depp yeah that was his punishment lot of people come here to film stuff lot of people come here to get

less of an issue there I guess than here but yeah people here are traveling around and we'll see how that goes cuz what's it like over there where you are at the moment because I know they went into lockdown or stricter restrictions ago we had uh we had the pause the Rhode Island pause which ends tomorrow so three weeks we've been like non-essential stuff supposed to have been shut down I mean look it's been fairly the same for me cuz like I've just I work at home now I've been at home I'm I'm actually off this week um so yeah you work for from home um Whole Foods just brings you food exactly Whole Foods is bringing me food today in fact so you know prob I notic that much but I think they probably they'll screw something up and then I'll I'll get free

food again yeah I mean bars have been Clos and that but I mean haven't been going to them because not an idiot right I I wasn't risking it so makes no difference to me I remember a few years ago I was watching Dragon's Den oh yeah this is going to sound like a very weird segue yeah I was talking about this show the other night go on but and one of the things that they came on to try and present to get funding for was basically a tub that sits at the front of your house that uh delivery drivers could scan put stuff in and then that way it's locked so it's s bit more secure and yeah they that should really take off now that should become a thing yeah I think that wasn't that the issue with them was they were

ugly I think right was that what complaining about they were ugly and going like oh there's not really that much of a need for it yeah now I wonder why it didn't take off oh there was just absolutely no need for it yeah well that's what I think you need to get a lot of people to buy in and take pick up on it for it to be useful cuz if you only got a handful of people a lot of services aren't going to sign up to use it because why bother I was talking about that show the other night and it was because someone was saying oh you know the successful products have been on there but I've actually only ever seen on YouTube the bad products CU mhm that's that really my morbid interest in that is just people going on there with the stupidest [ __ ] and them going you're

an idiot mate what is this what is this you don't know this I don't really watch I don't watch reality TV is this like Shark Tank yeah I've not seen that either but I understand the people go on with this stupid stupid thing and then go and we're asking for $50 million for a 1% sh company so I only watch the bad ones just because it's you know more interesting but and then you switch back to cakes that's right must must be cakes on somewhere as i' got 100 [ __ ] channels kids B I made ice cream guys I'm cream [ __ ] delicious uh dairy or non-dairy oh Dairy yeah oh okay it's going to be a problem that I can make ice cream at will yeah yeah and I can just put whatever the [ __ ] I

want in it like all right what did you put in it oh the first one is raspberry oh I made vanilla ice cream and then I made a raspberry kie and then I smooshed them together and it's [ __ ] delicious well while we're talking about the adult stuff we're doing now um yeah eating ice cream we grew we grew a tomato I saw I saw video yeah there's a [ __ ] tomato growing in my this is actually a serious question I want to know how would need to live live off well it's a good I mean what do you eat do you eat a lot of vegetables no but I'm thinking like you're proud that there's one tomato like that that that's like half half of a salad for one person yeah well look I

haven't been able to keep anything alive before so you know I'm just I'm just pleased with myself mate yeah yeah just getting started and I tell you man so I've got a front yard that's about six square met right and uh I've got to [ __ ] sweep the leaves out of that every godamn day and how many acres do you have in your property uh three yeah I feel you man I [ __ ] feel you so I got a big backpack leaf blower that sorts that out M yeah I got a leaf blower coming I just blast them all into the woods yeah I going to blast them just straight out my front gate into the road okay so I did some research to have one person a garden big enough to feed one

person on a vegetarian diet they need uh a space 24 M by 30 m jeez that's quite big that's a lot of veggies but that's a vegetarian look up someone who barely eats any vegetables and just gets up research I'm done how do you get a sub you need a pot yeah yeah yeah what breed of chickens do they use at KFC yeah oh it's there's no name for it Dan it's just it's called the Abomination yeah all the meat around the outside all the organs in the middle it's called Sonia yeah all right so I think before we get into our top picks for the year oh yeah Merry Christmas everybody it's literally Christmas Day I think when this comes out hey is forgot about that Merry

Christmas all that fun stuff but we have to talk about this the game that everyone is talking about cyber Punk yes I've been playing it and I'm loving it so so city project red came out and went like look if you're not happy with it go get refunds which they can't really tell people to get refunds from Sony and Microsoft cuz they've got their own policies yes and then they actually came out with a thing going look you can still go through the policy with Microsoft hold up on asking Sony for one we'll have some more news about that shortly yeah and Sony went as far as just pulling it from their store so you can no longer even buy it so son's argument is it's just not of merchantable quality yeah I guess well they said because of so many complaints from

customers they're like no we're not dealing with this [ __ ] so if you want to refund go get it so that's even on PS5 where it works you can't buy it any any well that's the thing you can't buy a PS5 copy of it right you can only buy a copy of the game you're right you're right you're right you're right it's yeah there is yeah and Microsoft has now also come out with like you want a refund just ask you will get it yeah and that's a huge thing for them to go look we're not even going to let you well look you've almost finished the game so you might as well just quickly finish it and then go and get your refund I did think about that but then I also don't want to do that because I want them to make games again in the future and this is this type of

thing can bankrupt this if this there's a good there's a chance that this could bankrupt them and that's it we never get a game from them ever again yeah don't want that because in Unfortunately they have kind of lied to investors yeah right which is a big problem cuz investors they asked about how it runs on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One they went yep it runs fine on them MH if you just look away every time there's a fight sequence apparently not the case Matt I watched that trailer that you told me about where they remake the trailer with the [ __ ] glitches [ __ ] hell man that was all ingame stuff that literally almost convinced me not to play the the game at all and then I had I had to go back and watch the real trailer again to remind myself get on the Xbox series X

there's a few bugs but nothing more than you'd get in a Bethesda game exactly I've had I've had some visual glitches I've had a couple of cases where I'm like oh the UI stopped appearing so I just do a quick save load and that fixes it little odds I had a few times where I wasn't able to hear people talking to me so yeah just reload and fine again yeah so I've actually thinking what they should have done a couple of years ago was announc this was just a next gen game yeah yeah and just not worried about trying to get this running on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One just going it's next gen and be that if they had have done that I don't think I think we'd be fine now I think it's might be a case of I mean I mean I don't want to give sound like I'm like you know in

love with city project red even though I am but I feel like they they probably felt like you know they proom they announced this what 2012 and it was supposed to be an Xbox play Xbox One PlayStation 4 game like I feel like I don't know it's a bit [ __ ] to then at the last minute go nah next gen well that that's what I'm saying like not even like not now but maybe two years ago have gone yeah look this is going to be next year and people would have been upset two years ago they would have forgotten about that by now yeah probably true and we wouldn't be having this conversation about them having to pull it from the [ __ ] store well that and [ __ ] idiots on um Twitter and and Facebook complaining that yelling at Microsoft saying I got a refund but now

I can't play the game anymore cuz they're like people weird entitled idiots who don't understand no you get get a refund you don't have the product anymore mate like that's not you just get your money back yeah yeah people were getting mad about it like no I just don't want to pay for it I still want to play it yeah I love the game don't get me wrong I [ __ ] love this game I just want my refund that I'm entitled to for some reason pissed me off look I I say we are lucky because we did get Xbox series X's to play it on and and it's [ __ ] great like yeah I enjoying it it's a really good game I'm really enjoying it I will be finishing after this podcast I'm I'm already I'm finished the last mission this I'm just in a tidy up sort

of epilog type thing and then I'll get the finished game Achi how many play I think now one of the testers said they were like only 75% through and had like 175 hours in the game I'm maybe 50 to 60 hours in okay and have you been focusing solely on the main story or have you no no the main story is actually quite short okay I got a shock about how quickly that appeared so you cleaned up the map is that what you're saying I've cleaned up the map I've done every single side quest I've done every single gang related activity w wow and and now I'm just up to yeah just finishing game then I have to like replay the last sort of hour hour and a half or so three more times to get all the achievements which that annoys me but no it was a good game but yeah

like this is they're doing for an interesting next few years because they're not going to get the investors backing them this time for their next game they're going to have to rebuild that that name that trust yeah well I still don't have my [ __ ] television uh so I haven't bought it yet you know where it is yet I do know where it is it's in Melbourne right but as we've discussed off air things aren't getting from Melbourne to New South Wales right now right so anyone's [ __ ] guess it's also the worst time of year to move anything now CU it's Christmas yeah yeah and it's not coming before Christmas clearly clearly I don't know you still got a few more days you never know you never know well I mean I assume they would have told me by now but but who

knows um but my point is by the time I get my TV in my sofa and I hook up my Xbox is probably going to be patched a little it's already been patched a bunch of times I've seen less issues every patch so and and I'm hoping I'm hoping this will be like remember when no man's Sky came out and I know it was a little different don't WR in I know I know no man sky was just in which time yeah but no man's sky has gone on to become a huge success in my opinion like it's a really great fun game and so hopefully that'll happen here and they can they get on top of it also the developers have are really pissed about the whole thing too because they told the suits it's not ready and the suits were like it's coming out now M so because there's no way yeah the devs would have been

going yeah ship it it's fine no it's like we said that there's no way the testers were like nah I can't find a single it mate no they were told and they said no it's shipping it anyway yeah I tell you what happened they said what is the total figure of money that we would lose by holding it back and what is the total number figure of what we would lose in refunds if we put it out and some people weren't happy which of those number is smaller okay we're putting it out yeah I think they got those numbers wrong and now they're discovering okay what happens if he gets pulled from the [ __ ] PlayStation so we're not selling any of them yeah that's a problem so L You' enjoyed it quite a bit Matt you seem to be enjoyed

it would either of you say it's your game of the year no I wouldn't say it's my game it depends it depends on the on the parameters I want to say one more thing on the bugs cuz did say last week that there were no gamebreaking bugs there is a game breaking bug so be careful playing cyber Punk at the moment if you save game gets too large like over 8 megabytes it becomes corrupt and you cannot load your game anymore so be careful save often create different saves yes apparently crafting is the thing that [ __ ] this up if you craft too much [ __ ] apparently for some reason it blows the save file up so just maybe don't craft too much [ __ ] you so just watch that that's the only

real gamebreaking one that was and only that and just again be really careful because city project red said that it once it gets corrupt they can't fix it so like they'll they'll patch they'll patch the problem but if your save game gets affected it's [ __ ] for a while now I've been quite good with my save games in games like this where I'd only have one or two I've gone back to my old like o of having like 20 I ran out of slots so every time I go to save manually I scroll to the bottom and I replace the bottom and I have like like a big list of them cuz if I have to go back I don't want to have to go back exactly to started a game but no I I so if we're going to talk about our game of year so just perimeter being game release this year

yeah yeah see that changes a couple things for me oh is that I thought it was just what games we have played this year that we would put up as our game of the year no I thought we ended on or I think we discussed it and didn't they finish the conversation I think for us to have the best of 2020 it should be something that came out in 2020 right what do we think well I've got two options one is if if I've got to pick a game this I mean if I've got to pick a game that came out this year yeah it is cyber Punk okay but I mean that's I've not played a whole lot of other games that came out this year yeah I was playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey which definitely did not come out this

year so so I'm going to guess if it was out this year cyber Punk 2020 if it's or 2077 but assassin crew do hly okay no no no assassin cre Odyssey was not going to be my pick if it was uh I was going to say disco alium would be my game of the year if if I could pick one that came out last year I keep forgetting how old that game is I'm going to cheat a little bit on the movie thing as well well I'm going to cheat the whole time because I totally misunderstood the rules I thought it was just what game we played this year that we want a nominate so I've got um with all my categories I've got one winner and one runner up mhm so for game I've got actually

cheated twice and I've got I've got two Runners up but if we're going by the they came none of these games are 2020 titles look let's just go how do you have two oh you mean you got a winner and two runner UPS sorry I thought you bet you had two runner-ups and no winner and I was confused no i s Assassin's Creed Odyssey as a runner up it's a couple of years old now so you know that was never going to be in there but I only played it this year um as we've discussed at nauseum but uh love it love it we'll be playing it again once I get my [ __ ] television my only complaint with Assassin's Creed Odyssey is just it's so [ __ ] big that I it's like a little overwhelming and I'm never going to finish it it feels like it's just such a

huge game yeah I'm kind of okay with that I might just play this forever you know yeah no no no it's it's great yeah just if you enjoy it why not uh my other runner up uh is a game that I don't enjoy but I've played many many times and not enjoyed it each time and that is this war of mine oh because it's an amazing game it's an amazing game it just makes you want to kill yourself no a lot of games could do that but my game of the year is Disco elesium and I know it's a 2019 title but it was released in October of 2019 no one knew about it until it won the 2020 game Award for best writing and then uh so it's a 2020 game as far as I'm concerned and uh I played it three times I played it twice through and then once on hardcore mode and I'll play it again

once the new content comes out I still really look forward to next year where I will get to play that game M it's just play it now on the [ __ ] game boy like as as much as I like cyber Punk like cyber Punk is you know it's an open world RPG disco eum there's nothing like it no it's it's a very if you go to a Reddit and you type it like you you just forms of people go on what other games are like this and there aren any none there like plcape torment comes up a lot plcape torment maybe boulderscape that's it he plays all games no no that's fair but it's nothing I don't play L just Luke just sees the game mechanic he doesn't see the the horror attached to it he's like what are you talking about yeah but I just like that

sort of like you you play as the monster trying to escape this lab and yeah that was fun and the controls are fun with that too where you grab stuff and fling it around and it's a good game so yeah that one is mine very good all right this next one are you do you have to pick like an ultimate Winner Is that how this works or are we just going to go I think I was just doing that for the geek of the week wasn't I all right all right I think this one is just let's talk about our favorite stuff y that works works for me what do you want to talk about next so well movies yes this one I actually had a hard time with cuz I didn't really see that many movies isue but then when I actually thought about it there was one I saw I went to the movies and saw and I really enjoyed was

Bill and head mhm yeah mhm I considered that I considered that well you you didn't pick tenant Luke weird yeah imagine that that was my runner up Bill anded was great it was a it was a a great fun little romp like it was kind of what what we all needed yeah the only thing I didn't like about it was just the ending wasn't strong for me the ending was totally agree surprisingly weak wasn't it yeah M cuz like the other movies all had like that that great song and it's yeah that this one was just uh here's some sound playing that everyone in space and time is playing at the same time just just accept it which I can accept the premise of it but not I didn't like the music the uh yeah the execution yeah but that would be my it

was just suddenly over movie well I am I I I guess I'm sort of I'm cheating a little bit with my movie of the year I saw it at the movies this year so I think it counts came out The Empire Strikes Back no it came out technically uh November last year um yeah but it took a little while to get distribution I think because it's a little uh little indie film by the name of JoJo rabbit that is my for movie of the year I still have to go see that just a [ __ ] great movie Very hilariously funny and touching and uh and poignant it's just great nice work I'm quite happy that they're giving him a Star Wars movie to go play with yeah

he's he's just great yeah he is great yeah yeah great Storyteller everything he does yeah MH funny dude very genuine and like he's got that thing where he's like he's just I mean I hope he's nice in real life cuz he he certainly sells being nice and just like yeah everything he does is like kind of wholesome in a way he made a movie where he plays Hitler and he's it's kind of and it was lovely yeah it was lovely it was a lovely movie about kids and friendship right like and it's sad and horrible things happen in it but you don't walk out of there going oh gross it's just like it's just it's hopeful everything he does is kind of hopeful yeah good movie joj rabbit great movie if you haven't seen it honestly check it out listens it's great yeah and

Dan what did you come up with so likewise I've got a I've got an honorable mention and then and then an ultimate winner um my honorable mention as tenant um yeah there weren't a lot of movies that came out this year that's yeah so it was a it was a tricky one um and in fact I I I really had to think about I really had to think about what I'd seen this year that that came out this year and and I couldn't I couldn't think of many ten it's my honorable mention I'm going to I'm going to go out on a limb and and pick one for my number one movie of the year that I know neither of you have seen and I know this is going to sound awfully pretentious but this movie has not been released this movie was something that I watched Le wank

when I was uh when I was um adjudicating put these socks in your slam dance um and I championed this movie with all my might and it still didn't get in so not only is it not distributed it's also not in the festival that I put it in but it's a movie called 975 which is a Turkish movie just just while I'm piling on the [ __ ] wanky Art House [ __ ] damn crap but honestly this movie is about and a guy who's our AG he's exactly our age he's 40 right he drinks too much he lives alone he's trying to hold together every relationship he's ever had um outside his apartment most of the movies sit kind of in his apartment and outside the whole City's riding is this is big

kind of uprise um he's just found out that he's got terminal cancer and that he's going to die soon and so his mind starts going back to when he was in the Army in the '90s and he shot and killed a little boy and this movie made me laugh made me cry made me [ __ ] weep you may never see this this may never come out but this is right like to choose any movie this year that was better than that would be lying to myself and you right 975 mhm yeah all right 975 is the the length n n 9.75 cm is the length of the scar on his face that he got in the war seek it out that you never see seek it out you won't you can't but there is a a pretty cool little teaser trailer

that we can put on the socials all right seek it out anyway maybe it'll come out at some point I don't I don't think it's a movie for me probably not oh might be you never know it might be it's a good movie if it's better than 10 it I got an honorable men throw in throw into the ring that I know is probably I don't know I know Dan's seen it I'm not sure he liked it as much as I did but I like to Colorado of space came out this year bit of funas so few movies came out this year considered that one too I really liked that movie good school it took me a couple of time to get into it but I concur it's it's pretty good it's definitely fun beautiful had a good score it took some liberties with them sour mature but it had to cuz how do you describe a color

new season movies weren't clones but they did mention clones as part of it but what they started doing now was grabbing children and then training them from a very young age up but he they did mention clones in one of them didn't they yeah I think in the awakens when they were talking about yeah they did talk about clones at some point I don't remember but yeah so we're we're in so what came at the end of this week's menal which I don't think this is a spoiler but they've announced another show yes they have Well it can't be come out and made so they've come out and made it very clear that season 3 of the Mandalorian is not the story of Boba Fett they are two separate shows that are going to be coming out next year yes Boba fed the
