option when I was say 19 I really you guys can attest I wasn't up to much you know what I mean like I could have sat around and drank beers with you guys with my legs in big caros sets for a year say and then just been like hey guys 3 cm taller every bit counts yeah always 6 foot see I don't know how you'd go getting both done at the same time cuz I've had one leg done and this is a second time doing it no medical necessity let's be clear yeah yeah no no doctor in the western world would agree to this yeah I do remember the last time I had it done I had the Big M set and when I was getting it taken off there was a concert the next day mhm oh God yeah and skulla were playing oh yeah well skulla that's that's worth risking

lifelong injury for I I put it to you there are many people listeners of ours probably who've never seen skullo before or heard of skull and you I knew that story luk and do you know how I knew that because your mom mentioned it very recently when you got this procedure done and she was like please don't go and see skulla the next day like you did last time well yeah because I I I really wanted to go see I hadn't seen before so I didn't tell my parents I was going for surgery even though they had to pay for it right went in for surgery just took the credit card surgery on morphine little bit off my face left the hospital went to this saw scorer ran into friends went and saw speckled foam speckled well that's worth it and then from there went to the

iron Juke and saw unpaid debt oh speckled foam and unpa in one night how did that even work different bands are they they were very different at the time but it was also unpaid debts first ever show yeah right so lots of bands that no ever heard of well unless you grew up in the west sub in the 90s and were friends with Joey katenzaro yes or or almost got killed by him yeah at one point other than that look like feels okay yeah good yeah AP from that fine I think muscles hurt muscles are trying to learn what to do M and I think yes tried to dislocate my hip right well I did listen to last week's podcast when you said that you in a sense have to learn how to walk all over again and suddenly

the procedure seemed a bit more dramatic and important than you'd perhaps implied it was oh I I just yeah well yeah cuz I'm like my legs growing like 5 to 6 cm that's a big difference to C oh man yeah what I wouldn't give for 5 to six extra CM I've had it for years we're like the Beatles on this podcast everyone is exactly 61 except for one person but in the case of the Beatles I think George Harrison was an inch taller than everyone right and it's a little bit more than an are we the same height Luke I don't know about that I'm 182 cm the past doesn't count anymore I only do feet and inches now sorry I'm 5' 11 you're 5' 11 oh okay I only know that

because uh that's on my driver's license huh I actually thought you were a bit taller taller than you because I am 6' 182 cm there you go also I I'm not sure where that figure came from to be honest so I should probably check maybe all my they didn't usually the details on your driver license come from you they ask you it's not like you go to the DMV and sizing you up I don't know if they if I should admit this but I at at one point on I didn't know the conversion and I had put 5 foot n on you're not 5 foot n mate I know that now but I put that on you're EAS 6 I don't think you're 5'1 either I swear to God my one of my green card documents had 59 on it for a while because and then somebody was like I don't think

you're 59 no you're not 59 so and you're sort of like I don't understand what these mystical figures are you just be like the rest of world on the way I also pay for this yeah and I was like I I don't know I I don't know how tall I am don't know in centimeters either to be honest 180 sounds about right though so okay I I'm 182 you'll be 180 something yeah for sure welcome to multiple height gasm I actually don't know my exact height and I refuse to know so I don't need no there's there's no there's no Jam that knowing my exact height would get me out of we do make fun of your height but you would be five five yeah I'm I'm around there but I don't want to know if I'm slightly less you're not four no four you're not in the four you're in the five yeah I'm

taller than Danny know how far in the five but and that's that's all anybody could ask for really justo yeah that's that's my Benchmark it's like at least tell me I'm taller than Danny Deo why Davis he looks [Laughter] incredible I'm taller than that little guy that little Indian guy from The Charlie the Chocolate f is that guy actually little or is he just they make him look little with CGI you know I actually don't know you know what now that you said that I've got no idea I just realized might be a dud joke there quick back up and go with a li of wood I was going to say sure not not one of many dud jokes I'll I'll throw out this week I'm sure not the best segue I've done either worse if we want to just jump straight into something good Luke um tip

of the hat to you I watched um Peacemaker this week excellent absolutely excellent do that you do Matt Luke looks confused it's cuz you told me it was good Luke can't hear me uh for some reason I can't hear you let me just reset my headphones all right I told you your headphones weren't working didn't I didn't I are you both using wireless headphones haven't we had a conversation about this no but yes I do um currently using wireless head no idea what happened I find them no less accurate or inaccurate than headon yeah there's lag though with them I mean maybe it's fine I and only only mentioned because Luke has actually in the past been adamant that he doesn't use them which is the only reason that I mentioned it he he I asked him once and he said no I've got a

cord plugged in maybe that's why they aren't working maybe you're the one who's just wide open yeah I can't plug these in but I do have some that I can plug in so if there is a lag and it's making us talk over one another then I'm happy to switch I mean look how long of how long have you been using those and it hasn't been a huge issue about a year I just realized that if you're both on them I don't know if that would compound the issue and also like also clearly been lying to me in the past what do you mean what have I been lying cuz when I asked you if you're using wireless headphones in the past you said no of course not you can't record with wireless headphones I've

only just in the last I think four weeks started using them so when I answered at the time I was being honest So speaking of my computer has Bluetooth of course it does all computers do speaking of last week's show um you guys were talking about Pearl Harbor and Matt you you were going to watch it for this week uh yeah I didn't I okay good I I I wish I was there just to implore you not to watch it there's no need for you or anyone else to watch Pearl Harbor in fact I edited last week's episode and I still forgot so and and even until you mentioned it again and I was like we did talk about har until you literally just said you said you would watch it I still didn't remember that I was supposed to so so

there was yeah there was there was very little danger of that so it's not worth it um not only is it infamously historically inaccurate but it is surprising did he get bombed it is anachronistically patriotic in a way that America can't get away with in the current day right if you know what I mean sure and the word get used one too many times cuz isn't like been a running around trying to save the day and stuff like that whereas in what really happened rocked up blew the [ __ ] up out of pill Harbor and then left I don't know yeah I mean it it it certainly wasn't a victorious day for the Americans um I mean ultimately it

was cuz if the Japanese had left them the well well enough alone then maybe the tide of the war wouldn't have turned in our favor I always do wonder about that like America was not in the war and then Japan went let's go bom him yeah Hitler must have just been like are you [ __ ] serious guys come poked that [ __ ] sleeping isolation finish this off and then we'll coordinate with you and then we'll go to America and I love it too that's like there was a time where America were like we don't get involved with overseas conflicts yeah well they don't right now oh yeah right now they don't either yeah not not when Russia's back they've always kind of been like that haven't they well well I still remember remember like years ago even with North Korea

North Korea goes hey we've got nukes and we're prepared to use them America's gone we're just going to leave them alone and go to Afghanistan well even when they were mad at Russia they were like Russia we're mad at you and Russia's like come get us and they're like nah and Russia's like we're arming Vietnam and they're like well we'll come to Vietnam and'll kick their ass not that they did y but we're staying away from Russia the taught us that lesson Hitler reminded us we haven't forgotten welcome to multiple politics GM the most important question is do you remember the explosion in question there's some particular explosion that's apparently larger than the you remember the explosion from Spectre I'm sure I do not even remember

the explosion from Spectre because Spector is what I would consider by far the worst of the new batch of James Bond movies um it's the only one I haven't watched through yeah I don't mind Quantum of Solace actually um when I first saw it I was disappointed because it wasn't as good as Cina Royale but then later on you kind of realize that nothing is ever going to be as good as that and so you need you need to kind of cut the other film some slack so when I go back and watch Quantum misus I quite like it when I go back and try to watch Spectre I've never gotten to the end and I've tried two times to rewatch it yeah I've only seen it once I remember that it's got Dave Batista in it and it's got uh what's his name Waltz it does expion you know where he goes and

he meets Kristoff Waltz and they're in that facility in the desert somewhere for some that blows up that's Quantum of Solace the facility in the desert that blows up is Quantum of Solace n there's two I know what you mean yeah the one the the the maybe it's not in the desert he goes and Kristoff Waltz has him any he um God I can't remember the specifics anyway yeah you're right though that that now that you mentioned at the end of condom Sol it's the the the guy who was stealing all the water right blows him up too doesn't blow him up blows everyone else up and then he gets sent out into the desert with nothing to drink but a ten that's right that's right [ __ ] take that but I just that's the end of all the Bond films really except for Casino Royale is

something explodes cuz in in in con soless it's that guy's desert house in Skyfall It's Skyfall skall and in um Spectre it's Kristoff Walter's house and in no time to die it's James Bond skyall burns down but I don't think it blows up does it does it explode no fine I'm wrong no no you're not wrong though sorry you might be right no they shoot it with a helicopter don't they they do you're right it does blow up they blow absolutely does yeah I I think far less things in the real world blow up than movies would have us imagine I think you're right yeah well that's why I like um the 21 Jump Street movie remember there's a big car chase and they like but there's a big car chase like things run into other things and they go oh [ __ ] it's going to blow

up and then nothing happens that sort of a running joke for a little bit that's great that reminds me when Dave crashed his car and uh and and I mean clearly he was in shock yeah and he told he's telling everybody get down get down going to blow up yeah uh it's funny now cuz he was all right was fine everyone was fine nobody was hurt um I haven't seen the 21 Jump Street movie or movies uh have seen the to see that yeah oh I I recommend the movies they are fun well I like the show is the premise of the films the same is it that some cops look so young they get put under cover in a high school yep and is that's the first one they get under is right is chenning Tatum one of those young looking people yes F and they just make jokes of it hello fellow

kids okay so it's a comedy it's a comedy TV show ComEd comedy not a comedy didn't George Lucas have something to do with that or I'm making that I think so I don't think so oh I remember there was a time when they were talking about having a 21 Jump streak and men black movie huh crossover what yeah aliens are infiltrated the high school so the cops need to go undercover Maybe before they made um many black International there was talks of doing a crossover movie okay which would have been amazing no the first the the the original series wasn't a comedy it was light but it was like at the end of each episode they were like well I guess the lesson here is don't do drugs they can be very addictive and they can ruin your relationships with your friends your

parents and your school don't do drugs kids yeah movies very different right do lots of drug come get some drugs well the world's changed we no longer think drugs do all those things anymore I think well speaking of drugs and other things right I uh I I watched a little something that I don't necessarily recommend I don't unrec it but if you want to watch Pam and Tommy go right ahead if you don't want to watch it you're not going to miss much but I popped it on I popped it on CU I wanted to see what it was like it's tonally all over the place but there's some interesting stuff in there the most interesting part about it is that it's on Disney Plus right it's a [ __ ] it's a Disney show so Hulu wait oh I was going to say it's

not on Disney okay well here it's on Disney plus we don't have Hulu but it's on Disney plus which makes no sense with some of the stuff we're getting on Disney plus the funniest thing is Right Disney Plus have to because of their bylaws tell you if anyone in the following film or program is going to smoke a cigarette because of some older Disney films where people smoke so before Pam and Tommy starts a little disclaimer comes up the following show contains instances of cigarette smoking then you see people snorting cocaine off huge dicks and it's like what well they actually even at the end of Batman they also put up a little disclaimer that no one made any money from smoking tobacco companies and stuff

I think there start I think disy do it up front is that the penguin has his cigarette holder is that why they have to put that in wait at the end of which Batman the Batman the new one the new one the new Batman that's in theaters now has a disclaimer that pops up at the end that just says nobody made any money from siggies in this yeah what and actually if you look at if you look at and oh by the way don't wait for the Post in credits but yeah that pops up but that actually pops up in a lot of movies these days okay wait so first off at the end of the credits have you seen Batman okay okay we'll talk about that later second I thought the new Batman nobody did smoke because Colin farell came out and said one of penguin character traits is that he's a smoker and the studio

wouldn't let him have a cigarette well that's what I I don't remember anyone smoking but that was a thing at the end of the credits no one made money from tobacco H maybe that's just something they just copy and paste all credit I think he'd remember if he cuz he's supposed to have you know one of those cigarette holder things he made a big deal out of there's an article in the spreadsheet about this very topic yeah no no no I know but I'm saying Luke would remember it if he was right um interesting speaking of Danny DeVito did Danny DeVito's Joker smoke I don't remember to be honest yeah almost positive he did I don't know if he spoke but he did have the long yeah okay no but he was snorting cocaine off of Tommy Lee's [ __ ] that's true don't they don't

have to yeah they don't have to mention that um there's a lot of dicks in it a lot of dicks yeah Pam and Tommy not in Batman probably a lot of big dicks huge in Pamela Anderson yeah just one in this but it is in there right is it bloody hell and it's on Disney plus and they warned you about the cigarettes yeah good thing don't smoke kids now watch this [ __ ] get a brains [ __ ] out it's got Seth Rogan in it doesn't it yeah he's kind of the lead character Tommy Lee's dick has got Seth Rogan in it I actually had no idea what the about until I yeah he plays the dick no but I will if you don't guys don't mind spoilers and and he he's not smoking

wants to hump the lamp and hump the couch and that guy and I said is that guy abusey he's not but he's he's he's got ABY he's a littley but he's not ay you know yeah Luke's deep in research right now yeah I am no I'm just trying to see if Christopher Lloyd still out doing stuff not saw him cuz I remember when we we saw him a few years ago H it was sort of sad like it was sort of like he should not be working anymore he should go and retire because it was just he was confused yeah there's a woman there who tells me a story and he's I don't even know what he was trying to say sometimes there's a boy there that's right yes yeah his his nephew or something or his his his new

wife so like adopted yeah he was very confusing and he thought he was Captain Kirk yeah in yeah that's St I mean that was the one he was in but yeah yeah they recast Captain Cook just for the third one actually to be fair the question said what was it like working on Star Trek 3 so he kind of had a hint sure um but no he's still constantly working okay good good on him oh no I I don't know I just feel like someone's taking advantage of do you know what it could just simply be right he's Christopher he's in all no he's in all these movies that we think are fairly iconic but like there's no saying whether or not he gives a [ __ ] about this stuff like maybe he just

doesn't know or care who Captain Kirk is or what back to future is and he gets up there asking questions and he's like oh yeah that was great yeah well do you remember the time we saw um Nicholas Brendan and uh Emma corfield and Nicholas Brendan knew every bit of Buffy trivia and Emma corfield was like that was a show I was in 10 years ago and didn't give a [ __ ] about what are you doing you for the paycheck why why do this then why come yeah watch him again but but let's look at what happened after that who's in jail and who's not but he to sing the duet and she wouldn't she's like I don't remember the words he's like yes you did come I also think I think it's because yeah it's one of the things that's what he's just worked lived off his entire life like I played

Xander where she's no I've done other things I don't people helping me seeing but that's right don't come then come then we don't care you're not autotuned that interview with um where was William Shatner and Patrick Stewart talking and I've probably talked about this before on the podcast but where William Shatner was always very grumpy and and down on conventions cuz people were coming up to him and he was like I'm not Captain Kirk I'm William Shatner I've done so much stuff ask me something else but they always wanted to talk about Captain Cook and then Patrick Stewart was like Yeah but isn't that really nice that you touch these people in a way that they just they want to know about you and the character and and all this kind of stuff and he was like huh and then he went on

to kind of appreciate that more I thought that was really great yeah but that is I mean it reminds me Picard's coming out in yeah I think episode one is out record I've not watched it but I think it's out but that's why you go to k i mean yeah okay fine I human being I know you're an actor was like I went to James James Masters um was great because um everyone kept asking him to talk in the spike accent right cuz it's not his real accent and James Masters is great yeah and then at a certain point he's like all right for the next 10 minutes and you can time me I'll talk like Spike and he just did he answered question as Spike for the next 10 minutes his songs are very his songs are very sexual spikes or James Master James Masters yeah yeah there is one called I

want to be David lman because he wants to be in her bedroom every night at midnight I'm sure we told this story before as well but Luke and I went to Super over in Brisbane and saw James Masters and then we bought tickets to go see and perform afterwards did a lot of other people I think sort of assuming that he would do one of the Buffy songs you know maybe like give a little bit of a treat and literally first thing he walks up and he goes all right thanks for coming down just so you're all aware I'm not doing anything from Buffy I'm doing my I'm doing my stuff and then you see half the people go leave yeah well that's like um we had when I was working at HMV we had sponsored um uh Billy Corgan to come come out cuz he had his new band Zan if you remember

Zan and he did Zan gigs but he also did solo shows but he still even in the solo shows wouldn't play any Smashing Pumpkins songs and at one stage um cuz people kept yelling out tonight tonight and he'd be like no I'm not going to [ __ ] play any of them and then at one point you see Smashing Pumpkins here he's like asked me he asked me one more time and I'm walking off and um he ended up walking off remember the last Al that special pump has put out he like if this cuz while special pums been we love they're not really critics haven't really loved them like they get like three star reviews on their albums and stuff he said like this is a five star if I don't get five star that's it we're not releasing anym and I don't think they have after that last one yeah he

had a big rant I might have been on Joe Rogan actually he had big rant about how he's never made a three star album in his life and it's all just politics and stuff and it's like yeah I I mean I'll say this Mel go four might have been a festar album if they' made it a single disc M and kind of cut some of the filler out of it yeah yeah I saw there's a clip you can look at this up on YouTube this is why I think Billy corgan's kind of a [ __ ] whip where they're doing a show and uh I forget exactly why but they talk start talking about people keep yelling out songs of old Pumpkins albums and he's like I'm doing stuff off the new album and then someone yells something and he goes come up here come up on stage and he pulls the guy up out of the

crowd and he says what did you think of the new album and the guy goes a all right I prefer your old stuff and he goes [ __ ] you where's your album what album have you ever made an album like and like like St yelling at this random fan on stage mm I've seen some shine bands what they do now is they'll come and they'll play like a they'll play like a a show like three nights in a row and they go first night's our first album second second third night and just so whichever time you came in and started liking us this is the night you should go yeah that would be amazing that is great that is great and if you want if you love all their stuff buy three tickets MH I would I would I would so much and Living End okay wow more bands that Americans have never

heard of yeah I'm sure yeah living in maybe maybe maybe but definitely not J but I I love no but Luke you were saying some at least one Japanese karaoke machine has a living end right yes yeah when I was in Tokyo which song oh it was oh God I can't remember it might have been might have been leaving home which I thought was quite weird cuz it was an earlier song Right which which is why it sort of stood out because it wasn't like when they became more popular and mainstream think their look got them more attention early on Living End you know what we don't have to talk about living end because no one knows what the [ __ ] we're talking about I saw living end at like Gail's club or somewhere

ridiculous like that before they were like yeah oh yeah I I've seen them play like very small shows and then last time I went to go see them and buy ticket was like $100 I went no I'll give you 20 yeah yeah I'm not going to pay more just because you're uh your double Basse has a checkerboard patent on it now the last time I saw you guys you were a support bear like yeah the area seven area seven [ __ ] hell um but yeah Peacemaker very good thumbs up for Peacemaker um oh yeah watch [ __ ] great music oh my God Matt the entire sound is just um it's just hair metal from the 70s and ' 80s it's just oh thing that it's not from the Sun 80s that's a b from today yeah some of some of open sequence that band is

and you know what I read an article um it's not in here cuz I I forgot to pay attention to it but evidently that band got dropped from their label just before they made this deal oh [ __ ] oh how great for them yeah cuz now it's all you want to sign us back you got to give us M amazing song isn't it what's the band but it's fine I can look go look you'll find it but no I still in don't look up first don't look don't just watch the all right all right yeah I will watch the show just watch the intro made it as a way to get people to stop the skip intro just watch the I watch the intro of each of the episodes and then but yeah they made the intro as a way because James G wanted to stop the

whole like skip intro and want to get something that captures people when it starts and it gets me every time not only do you not want to skip it because it's good and you want to watch it um but also you feel bad skipping it like you be like I can't skip this people have put so much work into this but also the first I'm not going to give any spoilers but a lot of people are in it that don't come up until subsequent episodes so you start to go who's that and then once you encounter them in the show you'll appreciate them in the opening credits even more okay it's very good but definitely I haven't seen the last episode yet oh you haven't okay no um I know the spoilers yeah and actually I can't remember what happen in the last

cuz I watched I watched this whole thing in one Clump so it's all just one big superhero show up oh yeah that's right oh yeah I read that too actually I didn't know that actually I don't know what they do they don't they don't do a lot they don't do a lot um eag is my favorite DC character for two of them for two of people superheroes that showed up they weren't actually them yeah correct and that's very obvious Wonder Woman I think it super no I don't know who was it but definitely know Wonder Woman I tell you if you want no no I don't care listen what do you think do you want to skip ahead I'm not hearing a response no no look two of two of the four characters that show up have lines those are the two actors who showed up on the day the

other two are not yeah right they wanted too much money I would imagine so yeah even though one of them I thought maybe no they they just been scheduling conflict yeah yeah I'm not I'm also not sure if cuz two of them aren't American I don't know if they live in America what if it would have big deal to bring them over oh okay no no no actors were allowed to travel throughout that's true but you can't just say to someone who lives in England or Israel um what are you doing on Tuesday do you want to just come in for 10 minutes and do a cameo does G live in Israel still I don't know I have no idea she probably lives in Hollywood [ __ ] I don't know yeah yeah I would say so another show I watched this week and I'm only four

episodes in but I don't know why I didn't watch this before I started watching Hannibal is this the one with bads Mickelson yes as Hannibal we watched a couple episodes of that and it was pretty good and I don't know why we sto honest pretty good and had watched it and really enjoyed it yeah it's excellent I started watching this last night it's it's old school like it dips to Black where ad breaks and stuff would be so it feels like it doesn't feel like a contemporary show but um but I was thinking about red dragon the book just popped into my mind yesterday afternoon and I was like I want to watch the movie again but I don't know if I'm going to watch the Red Dragon movie that was kind of canonical or Michael man's Manhunter which was

based on that where Brian Cox plays Hannibal ector and then I was like a whole [ __ ] series I haven't seen in the Red Dragon movie isn't it R fines yeah yeah yeah um but this is good it reminds me tonally of Millennium oh yeah okay like kind of semi- episodic but with an overarching story um set in like Virginia and Maryland and those kind of places where I don't know if it's always AUM vagina oh yeah vagina and Maryland um but uh it's good yeah it's good I'm I'm liking it um not for me I uh I was reminded by there's a new show popped up on Netflix and it reminded me that I haven't bothered to watch any more Vikings and I think I probably dropped off at exactly the point you did

cuz that's what you said and I was like Dan was right yep and not Haven even thought about it yeah it's not even that you're like oh this is [ __ ] now it's just at a certain point you're just not compelled anymore to keep going yeah it's like I think it's the same sort of thing happened with all of us with The Walking Dead as well yes exactly yeah I just don't care anymore well well the things that I was like I want to know what happens to X person X person and X person it's like well I know now yeah yeah and are you going to try and watch the new show that's coming out that s of set 100 years in the future it's sort of the sequel show or I don't what you call it no I saw that probably Vikings Valhalla it's called right I will definitely watch um Robert Edgar's new

Viking movie coming out later this year yes the Northman is it or Northman or yeah I've rewatched Northman that's what I I watch the other [ __ ] great show what a sleeper hit that was I want to play Assassin's Creed yeah that was a good game I've just been playing cyber punk I wanton to talk about it again I talked about it enough if you don't know that I like it you haven't been listening I played a great game this week go on I very short game I started and finished this week what remains of Edith Finch and Matt I actually played this on the recommendation of um your other half yes I uh it's a walking simulator really nice game yeah I mean there's not there's not a lot of game to it is there you just walk around unlock things um there also was a listener who

had written in listener Grant who told me in the past that I should play this as well um just to note if you have um kids specifically Bally babies um a lot of kids die and you watch them die and um including a little baby so just there's that okay all right pretty hard yeah she uh I know she enjoyed this and she kept telling me Oh you should play it and I just haven't it's on Game Pass correct it is on game yeah no it is okay so I should just do it yep it is it take you two hours if you play it all the way through it's also a very easy thousand gamer score yeah I've been watching something just the last couple days and I'm I'm like pretty into it right now um and I have no idea if you guys have watched it it's called

F1 drive to survive I know a lot of people have watched this it's a Netflix documentary have not is it about so Motor Racing Formula One correct so I I I don't know if I mentioned this at the time you know the the the F1 last year there was kind of a big kafuffle at the end I don't know if you you caught any of that it was like a big the final race was kind of a big thing but uh and and I was in Vermont at the time the race was on and my brother-in-law was watching it and um so we watched it and I was like this is pretty [ __ ] exciting actually I could get into this MH the race or the weekend because well just it was that particular race and but they go [ __ ] 200 M hour like those I guess I've just never paid attention to it but like

that's pretty exciting stuff like I don't know see the thing with um like F1 it's not just the race it's the entire weekend goes into it it's like the the the qualifying the practice it's like a whole thing well see I'm learning it now from this documentary Series this Netflix series drive to survive follows it's quite well done like it's good storytelling because to me races it always came down to like who's first and then I guess I didn't realize like there's a lot more going on than that like there are literally te that don't expect to place above fifth or sixth but they have like like they'll push and push and and they just want to get to like seventh place or something like that and there's rivalries between cuz there's only 20 seats in the world 20 F1

races for the world championship that's it there's no other competitors and there's like rivalries that go on and this documentary does a really good job of like picking out little stories of things and then like you get an episode on this rivalry or you know like there's a team where the two team members don't get along cuz they want to beat each other and so they just keep [ __ ] crashing into each other all the time and like and the head of the team is like what are you doing like now we get nothing like you guys just [ __ ] ruined it and it's yeah it's really good interesting yeah the reason why I think you need to sort of when you watch it you need to watch like the entire weekend is cuz the race a lot of the times there won't be a lot of passing

sure it's not like with other car races where you got passing constantly there might be one or two passes in the entire race it's the whole laid up with qualifying and that's where a lot of points come from as well most of the points come from the actual race but qualifying which position you win there plays a major part of probably where you're going to finish in the race and that's quite interesting I I only know all of this from playing F1 driving games yeah okay well I know it from playing Motorsport manager a little bit um cuz I watched Penny Arcade play that and I was like well that's interesting just cuz yeah you do so the weekend they do the practice I rounds on the first couple days where they just kind of test the cars and tweak them and tune them to

try and get them like the fastest and then the qualifying like yeah like you said the qualifying is kind of where the the meat of it is cuz yeah you're you're out there alone and based on the time you do is where you start the race and that has a huge effect on your ability to to win and it's yeah yeah it's if you if you like if you qualif have a off day in qualifying and you qualify last you're [ __ ] on you you are not going to fight your way up to first that's yeah EXA because you have to pass passing is and like I said 200 milph trying to pass somebody who's like actively trying to prevent you it's I think like they have an award for like the most passes of a year and I think like some years it's been you pass 12 people yeah which is not a lot

for 20 races well now 19 cuz they're not going to Russia yes good point yeah Liv living in Singapore half the year was about to lead up to the F1 well that's funny you mention that because actually so far from what I've seen my favorite event is the Singapore event because it's and yeah [ __ ] gorgeous yeah like that whole I mean I know they it they make all of them look beautiful like the mono looks fantastic but then when they showed the Singapore one I was like oh my God like what a beautiful I have heard is the new um not the F1 but the new for the electric formula one that equivalent is actually quite interesting to watch as well that's probably where the sports sort of heading and that's yeah anyway I like a sport so yeah I was about to say

Matt turns 42 soon and thought I better get a sport better start it's about time that I liked something competitive my sport starts again this week the rugby league I heard a rumor that you guys were [ __ ] on AFL the other week actually I like AFL a little bit too no need for us to [ __ ] on AFL the worst of all the football don't get AFL o don't tackle me throw the ball any direction and that's fine oh look I'm bouncing I'm bouncing oh NL oh you've got tackle everybody stop let's stop the game for a minute and [ __ ] around no no that's that's American R football get play The Snug I know I'm just they get rid of the scrub are they are they too gay too G I was going to say too many hoties getting in there there's only one time where a scrum

happens and I think it's if it goes out or something but they're getting rid of it because it basically slowed the game down and they weren't allowed to do anything in scrub anyway yeah that's what that was my point all right Fair weren't allowed to like kick or punch you're not allowed to punch anyone anymore oh I me I I say AFL gets fights and stuff still I sure there rugby too but back in the day like those old montages of old Rugby League games where everyone's [ __ ] covered in and long hair piss and like that's when the scrum count something and a lot of those big fights are back in date when they didn't get paid a lot yeah when we were growing up watching rugby league which is like a national sport it would pop up with their name their position number what

they do for a living such and such as a carpenter yeah and his [ __ ] Jaws split open at this moment and he's still going and he they keep on playing yeah yeah up the [ __ ] Winfield cup don't call that anymore no they don't well if they did they'd have to put up a little sign saying he made any money from cigarettes caution yeah well they they did make now they call it the Tommy Lee's dick cup the cocaine Coke off it um before we move away from multiple Sports gasm um there's at least one Contender for Geek of the week today who is sports related Sportsman another one who isn't um will get to that but um Luke did you hear the tragic bit of a shock the tragic news that Shane War has passed away yeah it's a bit of a shock cuz I didn't know he

was still sort of a thing cuz I I mean shed by Luke's reaction to last week's geek of the week so I never know what to expect from him these days yeah yeah Shane War has died mhm for those who don't know who Shane war is who is probably quite a lot of people listening cuz I don't know that he's is he world famous guess he's world famous in other countries that have Cricket about Cricket so not not this country I even think in it sort of became a bit popular in America when he was super when he was when he was dating Hurley and he was dating supermodels and stuff I think he did get out there a little bit which I never understood no yeah right no like he's Shan Ward yeah he was one of the least attractive least athletic professional athlete that

we had well Cricket you don't really need to be super fit like you could drink and smoke and still yeah out there yeah just out in the field yeah I'm sure in the next two hours someone's going to bowl so yeah well I mean he is the bowler right so all he had to do was Chuck it he could do it with a beer in one hand I don't want to I don't know I don't think I can give it to him but it's also also interested he died of a heart got to find out apparently no we don't know that heart attack when you die of a heart attack at a resort in Thailand with your mates that means you were paring a bit hard yeah yeah I don't want to make light of this because this happened to my friend's husband right oh Jesus

exactly this went to Thailand on a boy's weekend died of a heart attack and she's there going but he was so you know young and fit I'm like no no you you know what a heart attack means in Thailand right like right it means he died his heart exploded like yeah it's not a mystery it's heart attack don't know heart attack's got quotation marks for reason right yeah yeah yeah so he's getting an autopsy done and I think the family's G Lu we just want like please just you don't want to make C and stuff being in Thailand they're going to come out and tell say exactly how he died if which drugs yeah yeah right snorting cocaine off a lady boy [ __ ] also I just I feel feel Evans I I feel that I just need to point out

there's not literally a scene in um Pam and Tommy where somebody snorts cocaine off Tommy Le Co I was okay there's there's just Tommy me why do you keep saying Martha don't bring up my mom my dick's name is Martha um I just mean there's lots of cocaine and lots of dicks and I was just finding a quick way to say them together but I just don't want listeners to be watching it going I watch the whole series trying to see the [ __ ] scene that you mentioned I missed it I got to watch it again so so yeah I'm not give geek it a week because I don't think he was particularly geeky probably not um there is another person that passed away this week a little sadder

although much much older and not in Thailand um not necessarily a geek but arguably contributing to geek culture Alan lad Jr um producer he's a name I not heard of before but then definitely know you know I know him I know him mostly from the behind the scenes from documentaries about on the Alien series oh alien as well sure specifically yeah well George Lucas will always tell the story about how he shopped Star Wars around to every studio and was told no no no and then ly he calls him Alan lad Jr was the only one who took a chance um and became a billionaire out of it so um producer of star the original died this week I believe Alan lad Jr is the guy

who when they're interviewing they interview Dan oanon and Dan oanon says I took him the script and they just immediately loved it they were falling over themselves to get it and then it to Alan lad and he's like no the script needed work yeah yeah that's why we brought on somebody else to co-write it yeah I was and that's literally the thing I know him from that's funny amusing me by saying that no alen lad is one of those guys who is or was very very good at recognizing talent in genre movies and and brought a lot of great uh science fiction science fiction science fiction uh movies to us when we were kids yes um look I don't know I think I'm going to have to say yes oh no one's

creat the whole [ __ ] plot is Dark Star yeah yeah directed by John Carpenter darkar I keep forgetting that at school it was his it was well not school at College it's like USC right but it was his his graduate film I do have a question so I'm looking at his IMDb and a lot most of his stuff is under additional crew and then he was presenter what's a presenter you a crew I think that means if it's a documentary or something doesn't it or like if you're a TV host no cuz that' be under cast and be credited as self for that because like presenter on a fish called Wonder and oh January Man Overboard like yeah I can't present maybe no I don't know I've not heard that but maybe that's something like being part of the pitching

process yeah oh yeah interesting I don't present on Blade Runner oh yeah I may he just means he was present yeah I was there or someone was present he was presenter he was more present he was on set more than some other guy yeah we just touched on Blade Runner have you heard the rumor that uh Harrison Ford is in talks for BL Runner 2099 now does in talks mean someone's trying to talk to him about it or he's trying to talk to someone or they're actually doing it the rumor I saw is that there's actual negotiation taking place but with these things you never know because you see articles all the time where um such and such says they'd love to play this character and basically it's just the interview going hey what think about playing this they go yeah do it yeah if

couldn't see what was going on the scream had stopped and we could see a lot of neighbors looking out their Windows too also looking for the source of yeah that's right and everyone and and then one lady you know kind of yelled out does somebody need help or something like that no response so everyone was kind of going to go back in but then I heard a gate and I realized my next to the neighbor had headed outside so I said I'm going to I'm going to head outside too cuz if there's something out there might I want him to see something cool and I'm that's right I don't want him to get all the glory um yeah so I went outside and um there was a woman lying in our driveway oh Jesus and um someone had already put a blanket over

her so I couldn't really see her couldn't tell how old she was or what she looked like necessarily um and what did you say over her was that s like the dead over or it certainly looked like it was when I got there I learned pretty quickly that she was still alive because she would occasionally wake up she was completely unconscious she would occasionally wake up scream like nothing I'd ever heard before the scream would then turn into some kind of convulsion or fit and then she would pass out again [ __ ] hell we called an ambulance how did she get out of your basement yeah we called an ambulance it took them 45 minutes to get to us right wow um in the yeah well in the meantime

we went through her bag try to find some ID or I was looking for inhal in um anything yeah or an epip or something to kind of give you yeah an indication that something might be wrong ID showed that she was there not near us there was ID but just wasn't from our area or anything like that right so so what the [ __ ] at one point so there was about by this point there was about four neighbors around trying to help trying to keep her head off the concrete was pouring with rain like it was really someone wanted to move her but then everyone else was like no no no don't move her she could have an injury I'll give you some advice don't lift a head up off the ground yeah so so this was all this was all all

discussions going on right so yeah yeah anyway then one guy said guys I know and and this is this is one of the two I use the term funny Loosely but let's say interesting funny interesting bits that happened right so the first one guy is like guys I've I've seen this before I know what this is um what this is a demonic possession and we're like no it's not you're not helping go away and he's like no you know what we've got to do um everyone stand back you're going to get I've seen this before I know oh by the way that's my wife yeah yeah he started saying I've literally seen this before started telling us about how he once um

got too close to someone with demonic possession and he took the demon home with him he was like I was hungry but I couldn't eat I was tired but I couldn't sleep and all of this stuff and that that's exactly what we were telling like [ __ ] you are not helping you are not helping right go it's good so you stay away so you should go away otherwise jump to you now you just go over there and yeah but but he was the one who was like when she fits we've just got to hold her down all of us have got a pile on because that demon is trying to get out we're like please do not touch this woman like my God [ __ ] off right and at one point so the this woman was on the phone to Triple O the entire time and at

one point they were they were telling her like send someone to the corner because uh looking for you you know looking for so I was like okay I'm doing I'm I've got nothing that I can assist with just standing around the body so I'll be the one who goes to the corner so I go to the corner I'm just waiting right yeah um this guy wanders over and starts going they just don't want to hear about it but um that's the truth I've seen it and then he started just telling me the story and I'm like okay okay please just they don't want to hear about it because it's not really helpful during this time where clearly yes but then the second thing happened right the second weird thing and the thing that happened was not weird the response was don't tell me a demon rose out of this

woman no no but she came to long enough to start saying a little prayer right as I as I guess you would if you suddenly just woke up in a [ __ ] strange place but the prayer was in Arabic because evidently this woman was middle and he thought she was speaking in tongues yes correct so first that was a thing she's speaking in tongues hold her down no stop [ __ ] trying to hold her down she's not speaking in tongu that's a language it's Arabic yeah it's perfectly normal language but then of course all of this weird racism started coming out of my [ __ ] neighbors right yeah right maybe this is a Muslim thing what is a Muslim thing oh yeah they do this all the time yeah ex have you ever seen a Muslim do this before well why

was she talking about Allah she was [ __ ] praying because she probably just woke up for a sec and realized was ly [ __ ] yeah and she prays in Arab that's the language she speaks yeah exactly yeah right so and then literally one of them said huh and of course she would be of Middle Eastern descent exactly like that just like that I'm like Sor is that is that a thing is that a thing right by this point this again by yeah yeah typical is it they're always collapsing outside by that's right well hold on we'll get to that Matt so oh [ __ ] see the lights in distance I run back out to the road wave the ambulance in right the ambulance comes okay guys tell me what's happened right tell me what's happened right first thing said she's she's talking

about Allah right no okay calm down means physical yeah no she was she was passed out but when she came to she was she was talking about Allah and I think she might be a Muslim again I'm asking specifically for medical not medically relevant we'll give the other Med we came outside she's in and out of Consciousness there you go exactly we checked A P She heart's beating is breathing in and out of Consciousness fits and convulsions in the meantime we'll get out of your way now you take over yeah so anyway so thankfully everyone was smart enough to let the the ambos take it put them in the put her in the ambulance the ambulance stayed there for a bit doing some kind of onsite

treatment yeah while we kind of debriefed one another and like slowly made our way back to our respective houses but not before a little bit more racism came out right so um the the guy who was there first not my neighbor but the guy from opposite us started going I bet I bet she's uh no no he goes one of us should KN knock on the door of number seven unit number seven and the guy number eight was like why and he's like cuz they're Muslims and it's like and they all know each other we checked she's not from here like and everyone came out like if someone knew her they would have come down like most people went back inside cuz they could tell there were already four or five people around and there was nothing else anyone could do and more

people standing around doesn't help yeah just because a a [ __ ] muslim person lives in our complex doesn't mean they'll know what to do with someone having a seizure right exactly then but then the guy my next neighbor number eight goes hold on I live right next door to them they're not Muslim he's like yeah I've seen them I've seen them with a scarf he's like no they're Asian and he's like you can have Asian Muslims he's like you know I know you can I'm just telling you that they're not and he's like well that's just your opinion and he's like no I know them with they're my next door neighbor also that's not an opinion thing no it's either true or it isn't yeah so anyway they were getting into a heated discussion about that when I was like

What if I I was powerless before they'll be interested in all this you know that number seven possibly Muslim also almost them if they've got any advice for you medical professionals that's right yeah yeah so about an hour later I went home and was like something really weird just happened did you find out anything about and we'll never know they're not going to oh by the way guys here's the answer to them no I just wanted yeah no I wish I wish I knew I wish I knew just so that I knew that she was okay yeah right yeah and just how how she got there I mean not that it's not I guess Tech really your business but it's just it is interesting I mean it happened literally outside my front door so you know

idea for Nama album and I would have never retroactively sued the band like the original baby did I like it because it means that he was following the story yeah you know and that he thinks that guy's a [ __ ] yeah that's that's that's interesting cuz I often wonder about Mark Hamill as a person like what's what does Mark Hill like yeah you know I think he'd be a nice guy he's certainly nice yeah he's definitely nice he doesn't like if you asked if he asked to if you asked him to help move he would yeah yeah but I just don't know what he's into I know he's into theater I know that about him cuz he stopped you know doing movies to do that but then I guess apparently he's into Nirvana as well I'd I'd love to think that he's into Nirvana it's his favorite
