[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy well I saw Thor oh did you oh and I saw the Mighty Thor in it yeah um I don't know what to think of it it's really oh no I I didn't mind it but it's it's it wasn't for Ragnarok okay it wasn't I mean itev that's probably for the best cuz you've already seen that I've already seen that but no I don't think it was it was not as good as Thor Ragnarok I don't think it was terrible or did they lean into

the comedy too much is that where it went astray no I think it's I think what I after it finished I think what I found weird about is it didn't really tie into anything in the Marvel Universe okay okay it really was its own Standalone movie like it wasn't really well I suppose it has to be because it's now yeah because it had Hulk was yeah like phase one is over and this is still a phase one characters Journey but they can't there's no Iron Man there's no aren't they yeah Guardians are oh okay so not quite a spoiler but basically everything you see in the trailer happens in that first 10 minutes of the movie yeah I think they do that yeah okay yeah so yeah it's not like he's running around with the Guardians the entire movie movie or

anything no okay but no I enjoyed it it was fun but yeah it's not as good as Ragnarok I I think I've been seeing a lot of online hate for it I don't think it's needs that had Natalie Portman in it I think any movie needs yeah how's Nat in it she's back in the uh in the Marvel nalie Portman's great in everything she does is she in good form is she in good physical form and that's not me being sexist that's me hate the [ __ ] out of us oh I mean but she could have done that before yeah I we would have let her yeah I would have tried to stop her so yeah and again it's not me being sex as I would have let her win no I would have just let her slap me around a bit and quite enjoy her oh no help no but yeah no it's it's it's okay

it's okay see that's not good I no no it was it was good but it wasn't I was going with I think it's my fault for going with higher expect no no no Luke you've got to stop doing this because it's okay to want the movie to be good no he did this to me last week too when I said the movie wasn't as good as I thought it could have been he's like well you shouldn't have thought it could be good no when when did the quality of movies get so low that we couldn't hope a movie was going to be good look yeah I think also it's because even when I was watching I was like I was thinking I want to go back and watch Doctor Strange watch strange yeah so I want to reflect on my life I just feel like I haven't achieved anything well you shouldn't have had goals that's that was your

mistake dreams there's something too that you shouldn't have had those dreams mate what are you doing yeah yeah my therapist said something very similar to me at one stage aim lower Danny aim a lot lower that's that's Luke's motto aim low well I bet how Sydney support us so I'm used to I saw some South Sydney graffiti um in my area the other day and I thought oh there you go looks what does South Sydney graffiti mean like what go rabitos spray spray yeah spray painted the logo and written go rabitos exactly right but in West ride it's just it's nowhere near South Sydney so spreading yeah but you got to get the word out yeah I suppose North ride doesn't have

its own team so no no so I I don't know where tried who would sort of be their local team maybe param yeah but but you don't want par sort of in the middle it's if you're spraying that on the stadium there then they're like we've got an official sign that says that mate what are you doing like go spray on someone else's Stadium that's right I spr on Russell Crow's house hey hey at least they were actually saying something in their graffiti Russell Crow doesn't even live in South Sydney either I'll point out Russell Crow should technically go for the roosters and for listeners who have no idea what the [ __ ] we're talking about Russell Crow owns that football team that's going to be very confusing for American listeners who are like what

I don't know quite they may know that because remember like Russell Crow is very good at getting a lot of other celebrities into sou Sydney following sou Sydney like Snoop and also Snoop Dog follows the bunnies does he that's amazing that is amazing but I guess if you're if you're if you know somebody right and you don't know anything about a sport then obviously you just go for the team your friend goes for why wouldn't you yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that's right Russell Crow said to Snoop one day like pass me that dubie and maybe pop on channel seven cuz I want like what's this sport oh it's the football oh okay like I'm going go you go for those guys I'm going to go for the other guys then [ __ ] you yeah yeah that's right not going for a team called

the bunnies [ __ ] you I I do that I do that if I'm going to watch a game where I'm South AR playing I'll go and I'm going with someone who is a fan of one of the teams I will root for the other team makes it more interesting yeah I won't say anything but in my heart I'm going for the te but if they come to a game with me they have to support my team otherwise I'll sck otherwise you'll have them ejected from the venue lcal rot for anyone number mean if you're putting money on it you don't want to be going for the same team do you the number of times I've been denied entry to the memb stand at the at the scg for the AFL because I'm always one of us is not wearing they've got very strict dress code and but the particular thing that

they're not happy with is always just some other [ __ ] thing that that's never come up before like like put your dick away no blue jeans no blue jeans I didn't know that well there some of those the Su doesn't your brother work there yeah that's how I got tickets to to the members area and he's always like where are you I'm not in the members stand mate I'm like not let in mate they'll let you in can't go it's just the members area that you okay so it's not just no [ __ ] blue jeans in the Crick ground period correct yeah right but yeah they will look in the members area for for the cricket they'll like look down look down at people who are being like cheering too loudly and yeah getting drunk what do you meant to wear a suit and tie suit I think you got to

wear collar and you know like slacks or something okay yeah it's they're going back to like a long time ago where gentleman Sports yeah not the tuxedo or and look I'm fine with it I just didn't know that's all yeah my fault yeah but but it happened enough times and then we'd go and like like they be like oh Jordan was wearing like a a crop top like not not allowed it's like [ __ ] [ __ ] sake all right we'll try again next week so just circling back to Natalie Portman I found this very interesting um ta white TD is doing a lot of press for said movie and um he did mention this funny anecdote that he was trying to show off to Nell Port by telling her that he was going to do a Star Wars movie and then he said to her you ever

dreamed of being in a Star Wars movie and she was like are you [ __ ] for real which scares me a little bit because that's fine if he hasn't seen those three movies I am absolutely okay with him doing one yeah but it's you I you need to know the history of it Star Wars his research he'll do his research although I'm not I don't want him to have watched them I don't want him to watch [ __ ] it just let him do it let let him win it see what happens at this point what why not well actually cuz he's what what he's playing to he's not playing off one of the main characters so it doesn't really care who Luke Sky haer's mom was yeah it doesn't matter because it's not part of his

story hopefully yep hopefully and whether or not Luke Skywalker's mom was a beautiful buff woman who could bench press me he he should cast Nelly pman in it that would be great just yeah but not as pad yeah exactly just don't say anything just have it be another character and yeah why not why I think go for it y yeah I'm fine with that whatever do what piss off a lot of nerds but I don't she's just she should act down she's playing a different character y this might be a naive question but has Ty YTD been in a Star Wars I've got a hazy memory of him voicing a Droid um he might have voiced a Droid in mandaline or something I know yeah has he I

Know Rich Richard from it crab yeah he played a Dy Droid played a Droid obviously d uh what's that you sound like what's his name Jonathan Ross I played a Droid Droid oh Jonathan Ross would love to play a Droid I'd love Jonathan Ross to player Droid I'd be in that yeah I'm I'm surprised he hasn't made his way into a Spider-Man because he is M heard of William FAL cuz you know he owns three copies of Spider-Man number one does he yeah he has three copies and they're specific foring yeah one's for reading saving and one's for jerking off on too pretty much yeah one sits on his desk and he flicks through it he's allowed to read it one is framed on the wall to just look at and one is in a vault somewhere all right um

I'm looking through to see ta TI was in St oh he he directed Mandalorian episodes the [ __ ] are you talking about he oh and he was also the voice of ig1 okay I knew it I knew I had some hazy memory no no no it's not our fault don't blame yourselves again because here's the thing there's way too much Star Wars now I should never have expected I would know the answer to questions it's my own fault well it's it's there's I think there's way more Marvel these days and I think that's actually starting to hurt them because have you seen the new M Marvel that's out I haven't seen it I've seen it um it's getting good reviews and Rotten Tomatoes it's being rated quite highly but no one's watching it yeah right right well I'm certainly not watching it look I I know I'm I haven't

watched it either but then in my defense I didn't watch Hawkeye or any of the others till late either and I probably will check this out I think the problem not problem or the the limiting factor is I don't know anything about that character and I everything that I've seen didn't grab me cuz it's about a young girl who wants to be like Captain Marvel and we grab different things Matt I just I don't know I I watched the trailer and I was like H okay it didn't look like we were the target Luke is this in the ve as the others or is this for kids no well if you look all the TV shows are all very different tones and this is probably more for for teenagers like young adults yeah that's that's the impression I got and that's why I

haven't I mean honestly I forgot about it also probably not going to race out to watch shehulk on the release day either for the same reason yeah is that I'm just not sure it's aimed at me that trailer it's that's seems like a more of a it's a Alex mcel that's what it looks like yeah at least I used to I maybe I don't know about these days there was a time and a place you wouldn't you wouldn't you wouldn't put up with that garbage now it was quirky and interesting at the time but uh yeah at the start they claimed it the first drama which I call [ __ ] on the first Dr real dram was du South oh du South was excellent due south what is that but you know what I'd go one up and I'd say Northern Exposure was a drama as well yeah yeah I remember that show had a moose in it yes it did

yeah that's all I remember our Canadian listeners are like of course it [ __ ] did it was set in Canada all our shows have moose in a a moose me me mice mooses mooses goose I don't know I just thought we're rhyming now yeah just freestyling well done yeah and the award the best new rap song goes to multiple nerd gas please please put a little beat behind that all our shows have moose in a a moose me me m mooses mooses gooes um speaking of She-Hulk She-Hulk has evidentally been Sonic the Hedgehog yes yeah I haven't seen the the supposedly improved one has anyone seen

the difference I can barely tell the difference because this also looks quite awful to me but oh okay there's some like texture on there now it it it does look better but it doesn't look like a redesign it just looks like a render and I think the problem with this too is that I mean maybe there's a video I haven't seen it in the in the Stills it's hard to tell because a lot of the problem with it was the movement it was a just very uncanny valley like it just really oh yeah I could sort of looking at the pictures now you can sort of see they sort of added like not imperfections but they've made it the skin look look real like they're now freckles and lines instead of just less waxy have you guys seen or heard of the new chip Andale Rescue

Rangers movie I've heard of it I've I've I've spoke we've spoken about it I've told you just to watch it it's amazing oh you've seen it so you know that it stars ugly Sonic yes oh he that's how yeah he did tell us that yeah yeah no I I I you both have to watch I want I've got it tagged me I put it on like me Hannah were just like having dinner I threw it on just like throw it on cuz it just popped up on the screen I we probably won't watch it all and then we sat there and watched it all cuz it was fun yeah it's it looks good yes do you know who it was going to be in that role before they decided to make it ugly Sonic no it was going to be J Jar Binks which would also fit with what

that character sort of played like you cuz basically he's in it like he's at a convention like he's talking about how he's everyone loves him he's going to be in new like cops like show and stuff that's great that's great Jud I would have been amazing in that and there's like a closeup he smiles and you see like one of Rescue Rangers sort of cringe at the human teeth oh that's great I love it when Disney get um self-referential yeah but I don't think they would have gotten to self referential to the point of apologizing for jer no they they never will they're just cuz you got to remember there are people out there who like him yeah oh yeah oh yeah too funny a made it I know I know we've talked about this probably a bunch

of times but that Darth jar theory that like watch Phantom it could be it recap Darth so George when vantom Menace was coming out and all the behind the scenes stuff George keeps saying like ja's the key for to this we got to get him right all right you know all this kind offf and everyone afterward thought like oh he's just talking about him being funny there was this the that J Binks is secretly was secretly supposed to be like evil and and the reason that he has used High Jinx and slapstick to defeat the droids is because he's using the force like obviously and then like Obi-Wan and Quon just accidentally run into him and yes and there's little things that he does where he's like they're like look at

this little hand mush and like he's he's using the Force and and and I don't know the the theory was good but then obviously based on the reaction he just got written out of oh yeah there was nothing sequels it just makes you whatever yeah because whatever they were going to do with him that or something else was scrapped second came out where it's George and he and he says judge is the key to all this for to make him I know it is but I also don't think George is a good enough writer to he's the one who votes to give Palpatine emergency Powers yes mhm so but yeah I I just yeah I I just don't think George no I don't either thought about especially what he [ __ ] out for episode one remember this was episode one they

filmed his first draft Yeah Yeah is it is it episode one or episode two where on the behind the scenes he's he's expecting the models that have been made for his film and he goes wow I better write the script yeah that's right it's it might even be the third one one of where they look at the M the Mustafa yes [ __ ] yes uh concept art and he's like oh wow yeah oh yeah I guess I could probably have a sword fight in in this movie Callum you had one job that's right one job tell him no yeah even though you and your wife literally have [ __ ] matching his and hers Lamborghinis one black and one white that sit next to each other in the driveway you got to earn that [ __ ]

mallum I I do think he he is to blame for oh yeah 100 100% not George who wrote and directed it George wrote and directed the good ones as well Matt that's the thing one of them but other people were like don't do that that's [ __ ] do this good stuff you come up with cuz remember like original thing was there was going to be no humans in Star Wars at all all going to be droids and aliens and then people have gone no that's not going to work and he was taking feedback back then but then this one came around and everyone's just it's George he knows what he's doing yeah yeah let Midas turn this into gold yeah well he gave a he gave a draft to Spielberg who gave him notes on it and Brian De Palmer evidentially rewrote evidentially evidentally rewrote the

opening crawl uncredited good ideas good ideas yeah good ideas yeah and lots of ideas all up in the air and you don't have to grab them all just grab the ones that tell the story you're trying to tell yeah yeah I still would to want want to make my TV show just do it I I need lots of lots of money and the rights to be able to netx I saw this Rogue two I saw this funny YouTube video where it was like um a day at the Netflix office and it's the CEO of Netflix and he's [ __ ] drinking and then like people come in and they're like I've got an idea for TV shows this and he's like yeah F that sounds good no worries and he's like telling say proving all his stuff and the next day

he wakes up and he's like oh my head and then and then she's like the secretary's like we've got 30 people on the phone they said you'd give her money for a TV show he's like oh fine just cancel them all after the first season that's right yeah well I was watching you guys watch um Pitch meeting on uh YouTube no oh you should watch Pitch meeting so after every new movie or TV show comes out this guy basically Recaps the terrible plots as if they're purposeful pitch meetings into the network and he's very funny and he plays both the writer and the producer okay so he asks dumb questions to himself and answers them and if you've seen the film you you know like yeah why did they do that but he did one for um Obi-Wan Kenobi and he's like okay so the little

girl's running through the forest and um these guys are chasing her but they're tripping over trees and stuff like this he's like wait is this a cartoon he's like at times yes yes for brief moments yeah yeah and then later on he's like so he's got a coat and there's four legs poking at the bottom two of them little and no one notices again is this a cartoon he's like again sometimes yes mhm yeah don't worry don't worry people won't notice yeah well um have you guys um finished watching stranger things yet yes no I haven't no Dan so I had you were ahead of us last week I had a choice this week to finish stranger things or to watch the entirety of the Umbrella Academy and I made my choice they're

both both excellent I got to say guys this we are so lucky to be in the middle of a television Renaissance right now in the genre of fantasy sci-fi horror like there's so much good content it reminds me of that kind of transitional period from the 80s to the '90s where we went from TV just being garbage to having the xfiles and nowhere man and American goth and suddenly there were these great genre shows I feel like that's happening again now but it has meant that I can only watch one at a time and so I feel like they all come out at once like there'll be ages where I'm like I don't really care about watching that much and then yeah I feel like that should spread it out a little bit more cuz remember I

agree games used to be the same all good games used to come out at the end of the year and then they realized that hold on people buy games all year so if I release here I'm not competing with them at Christmas mhm mhm and I think the same yeah need they need to get get better at doing that for film as well so if we could not talk about spoilers for stranger things for just one more week I will definitely have watched it for you know the rules no worries I mean I'm fine with it you've yeah you got another week it only came out last Friday right yeah yeah okay great so I do have another week under for the listeners if you hadn't seen it we would be discussing it cuz for the listeners it would be two week by the time this comes out but for you

it's only been 8 days I've I've gotten in I've gotten in on the have you guys seen that clip of Dustin not Dustin who's the actor that plays Dustin oh uh gotten something spoiling season 4 back in an interview for season one I saw that there was one but I didn't watch it because I hadn't watched season 4 yet I I YouTube showed that to a little while ago so he's he's little and it's got all the little kids and it's like the first season press tour and somebody's like oh this is really good there's like weird demons and stuff isn't there and um and Dustin goes yeah well actually you'll find out in subsequent Seasons that the demons are actually just the other numbers like before 11 but uh have become corrupted and and like he just

obviously they've told the D Brothers knew what they were going to do and they've told them that eventually they're going to do this stuff and he's just spat it out but because it was years ago and nobody's known it was out of context like David press with his St his Empire Strikes Back spoilers yeah or um Spider-Man with uh oh Tom Holland but I find it weird that they would have told those kids what was planned I think but yeah I think they probably learned their lesson I think it might have been in the context of we'll probably never get a second season but if we did here's what we might do with it did you see that bit where Tom Holland like in context now you can tell he accidentally spoiled something about

the new movie as well where he's in it's him and Zenia together in an interview before the the new one came out and he says she says something about there asking her about the stunts and she said oh the scariest stunt that I've done in a film so far is in this one it's when you know I fall off the building and Spider-Man saves me and he and he go and Tom Holland goes yeah that was scary he goes well I mean I'm not in that scene so I wasn't there yeah yeah yeah it's like it's not him but that was one he could have said oh it was my stunt double yeah yeah that was the whole thing that the other spider were going to beat it that was that was they secret but everyone knew but they denied it but just his face when he real when he realizes what he's saying he's like oh

[ __ ] not again [ __ ] me yeah that's right I love I I I must admit it it freaked me out a little bit when they started dating those two cuz I was like what but the more I see them together the more I love them as a couple and I love that interview again talking about the stunts and it might even be the same interview Matt that you were just referencing but when she was saying that because she she's taller than him when they lower them down on the um on the rig she lands on the ground first but he has to he has to pretend like he's the one who's who's catched her yeah great love it yeah good stuff yeah well that was a good movie so you like the Umbrella Academy then just where you at with um Academy I know

we've talked about this already where you halfway through episode one season one he I I looked at it and I evidently I finished episode one cuz I ask get up to the first dance sequence cuz I was going to say get up to that at least and you'll be hooked no no season one he's watched season there's episode one there's a great dance sequence I don't remember that so maybe I everyone separate and dancing to the same it's amazing that's what hooked me cuz I wasn't going to watch it had it on the other room and I I walked past and saw that and I was like [ __ ] are you watching I'm sitting down I've been caught up watching uh Taskmaster lately I don't know why what is Task Taskmaster oh haven't you seen Taskmaster it's a

it's a started off as an English show but there spin-offs sort of everywhere now it's got Greg Davies in it and he's sort of um the principal in The Inbetweeners in what oh okay The Inbetweeners so he basic play it's a British show Matt that you I'm surprised you haven't seen it actually I'm looking at Matt's not a very good Englishman he doesn't know these things I'm not I'm don't tell anyone I'm English we just had July 4th here we had it here too Matt we just didn't make Yeah so basically there's a Taskmaster and then they get sort of celebrities on and they make them do like silly tasks and

then it's sort of like a game show show yeah and it's it's it's a good watch and they've got like 13 seasons in the UK there's uh UK uh there's New Zealand one there's a Holland one I recommend watching it it's it's fun not a Dutch one no there is a Dutch one as well but and a Holland one yeah and aoll one yeah they watch they watch a bit of the Holland one in Dutch don't they it's got subtitles Holland in it's got subtitles in Holland days yeah yeah yeah no you don't think of Deutsch Matt you're thinking of Germany yeah um Matt have you seen and this is just randomly just talking about British shows but if you haven't seen the in betweeners you've seen Misfits right I know what it is I haven't but I know

what it is because I know class is in it Matt before you do anything else Misfits please please Four Seasons tone Chang seen it why I haven't seen tone changes after the second season so you could reason and cl leaves so you could reasonably just watch two seasons also British Seasons much shorter oh that's a good point you're talking about 12 episodes tops just it's excellent and it's like superheroes it's about chavs like in a Housing Development who are in juvenile detention who suddenly get superpowers yeah amazing it's amazing like I said the

problem is I know Jenna's already seen it so and I mean when I'm if I'm going to do I'm going to play a game if I get at some time where it's like I can do something I'll either do something on the computer or I'll play a game it's very unlikely I'll watch a show you got to really really choose yeah I'm going to message Jenna separately and ask her to watch it again so that you can see it sure that's if that's what we have to do yeah all right all right um on just on Stranger Things briefly again uh apparently the next season is going to be shorter okay which is I guess a bit of a shame but uh do do we know if the the and we do know they are doing the time Jump this time do we know that what they've said I think they're pretty sure they've said

that they are doing a time Jump this time they've said that yeah oh okay and and I don't think it's I want I don't think it's because it probably has something to do with the fact that the kids are all older now and by the time they get around the film they'll even look a bit older but I think maybe CU originally season 2 was meant to be in the '90s as well maybe they've got something that they need to tie in with around that time that's why they're also doing that time Jump thing mhm could be yeah comes down next it was the second show to uh get 100 billion viewing hours on Netflix or something just out I don't know yeah they're also doing spinoff just just I don't know anything about it but they're

doing a spin-off are they yeah but Duffer Brothers aren't doing it it's someone else's I don't even know if it's a character or it's just like a in the world of in the world of yeah oh it's i' hopefully it's not like blind Mana then you know sure let's just do another one but just not involve the Creator okay I may have misquoted a little bit so the new season illustration things has become Netflix the second series to ever rack up more than 1 billion hours watched in the first month what was the first one I don't know got to read the article no forget it too many words got to read um oh at the first one to ever get a billion hours in the first month was squid game oh God I still haven't

watched that no what okay Misfits first I think squid game first squid game's great also they're going to do another season but also Luke are you aware of this Netflix is also producing a reality gamow version of it I don't think that's going to be good and I don't know why you're getting excited by that no I I'm excited by the fact that they think that's a good idea I don't think they're actually going to kill people be has seen IM that twist I I know the premise has been difficult to avoid the the premise in general don't know a whole lot about it but I knew the premise when I watched it too Matt it didn't didn't spoil it one little bit also I I'm not going you know what I'm not going to say what I know because LC

will little go oh yeah he'll confirm yeah yeah yeah cuz remember I don't care about spoilers I know I know certain people in it are up to something someone at work started talking about it and I was like H oh well whatever I can't not hear things no I can't force myself to stop understanding the English langu for long enough to not hear this so I can stop myself from Reading to not if I don't want to get a spoiler cuz you know sometimes you just be reading an article then all of a sudden it just throws something in I'm very good at just tuning that out I'm not cuz they put it in headlines and they manag to S these people are masters of the English language they can sum up an entire spoiler in just a couple of words that I

read as one group you know Bruce Willis ghost what I hate what the I think the worst ones are like when they start talking about like when's the next season coming out and that's the sort of title and so you click on it to go and see when that title is and then they throw a spoiler in for what's happening and then also don't tell you when the release 8 is cuz they don't know yeah they actually don't know the answer I hate those Arles we'll be we be getting stranger things season six and then you go oh you click through and it's just like five pages we have to click through the pages to get all the ad views and they're like oh we actually don't know yeah we don't know yeah no do you know yeah yeah so get comment below let us I've actually

started when my phone gives me like links how it pops up with like news articles that you like to read and stuff when it sends me to place like that I go back to that screen and go I don't want to see anything from this place again cuz I'm sick of those sites that do that I understand why they do it but I don't care yeah and they have to rename the website ah legs blocked us again well it's also just that I hate the fact you have to hit next a lot on those pages all right yeah even if it was just like one page I had to scroll a lot it's a lot better Thane if I have to hit next you've lost me I'm going back and yeah all the reason the whole reason for that next is just basically so they can show marketing people look

we're getting all these unique clicks but yeah they're not unique clicks for different things it's for one article I saw an article the other day there was something about um the all of the plot holes in Obi-Wan have an explanation you just missed them and click I don't remember I read the first one and I was like oh shut up [ __ ] off yeah so and I closed I didn't read the rest of them yeah I don't care if they're just [ __ ] apologist explanations exactly yeah EXA I didn't miss them I just reject them because they don't fit into the wider Cannon and that's what I what I emailed to them Dan but uh you know no response no response article still up me they still up there people the subject was die scum

um which is just German for the scum so you know it was typo trying to write scrum yeah cuz I love football cuz I thought I had my my slack window open and I was saying are we meeting for the scrum this morning and then anyway I uh I will say this the poster for Obi-Wan is beautiful and it's up on a huge digital screen um at the mcari center which is my local mall and uh it's just this old kind of tattered movie poster style of Obi-Wan's face but it's just beautifully done the Suns yeah I'm looking at it yeah that's nice and it makes me want to watch a

one temper your expectations for Andor I can't Star Wars I couldn't even remember the name of it that's how forgettable it is yeah yeah I just hope they do make it sort of serious and dark and actually into the fact that he's done terrible things in the name of rebellion like I don't want him to sort of they shouldn't be giving him a Redemption Arc in the show Redemption Arc before he gets shown as that character yeah as a bad person in but I have a fear that they will try and do that yeah like how Boba Fett was just a different character in the show yeah MH just somebody else yeah with completely different motivations yeah I see I still don't understand why Boba fit he just goes well I now run I'm now the new j i now run this crime gang why yeah what what rights do you have to

that and you why do you even want that you're a solo Bounty Hunter do you don't know how to manage people it's so odd so odd yeah like and I we already did this he surely he had a life right before he got before he was at jabas Palace and got knocked into the side like he was doing stuff it's like it's like he's forgotten that he yeah exactly like they took his ship but he could get another ship off the planet oh I live on this planet now I better become the king of it exactly it's so odd also there's no way that someone wouldn't have stolen his ship well they did they had it at the um the base right that those people had

himself he's conflicted yeah well they are still new characters to me I when I say new characters I mean just stay away from FL someone else to death you guys don't want to see baby Yoda in a Mand they've already gone too far with him no I don't want to see him in Mandalorian armor I want to see him leave with Luke Skywalker and then commit to that [ __ ] decision that they made to have him do that not back out of it like cowards well I I think part of the reason is cuz if he OB if Gro did stay with Luke then we know he's probably going to get murdered I don't care no other is what Disney is all about man okay I think the fact that he gets murdered by kylo Ren is

good commit to it you leave him alone that's that Universe it's not like not everybody has to live happily ever after come on except for baby Yoda he needs they couldn't even commit to murdering Chewbacca in the last ever movie Chewbacca was ever going to star in within a 5minute window of showing his very powerful death oh no don't worry yeah but that's because Harrison Ford insisted on it have you seen that video this popped up this week where he's at like Star Wars celebration and the interview was like oh you know was it great seeing solo as a as a fan and he and he was like uh um sure yeah and then he he's like oh you know do you think you know did what did you you know JJ abrs killed off Han in um in

force awakens you know were you happy with the ending was that the ending you always saw for Han you know what did you always imagine Han went on to do after for just like you see in his face he's for [ __ ] he like get me out of never thought about this get me out of here now he's just like oh I don't know and I don't care remember for actually wanted Hans Sol to die in returning a Jedi he was very much rice himself he wouldn't commit to coming back for Empire Strikes Back it was only at the last minute they added him back into the story which is so strange because had he got had he started doing like Indiana Jones or anything by Empire no he just didn't wanted sign onto a franchise which yeah it makes no sense like sty was his big hit yeah but he

doesn't seem like the type who gives a [ __ ] about that I think that's it I think he was he was had some good roles he was in a now and he was in a few of other francisa movies and had some it was in you know a couple of George Lucas movies you know had some decent acting and probably made more money doing carpentry than any of his active friends were well cuz he used to build the the in the hot tubs he used to build like the little um places where you could stash your weed and stuff yeah evidently that's something he used to do but he used to like get work on hot tubs and make places where people could store their drugs in them yeah for when they were in that reminds know where I heard that but the is probably it was probably in

of story so starts off that basically the crew were getting her drunk and was sort of getting to the point where she's writing about like they're looking to sort of take advantage of her and Harrison for sort of comes in swoops off her feet and then goes and [ __ ] and takes advantage of her what a gentleman if anyone's going to [ __ ] this little girl it's me mhm yeah I mean look he made a lot of money playing that character in several movies Indiana Jones would have done that so that justifies no no yes rich men can [ __ ] that is what I'm saying Dan I guess I'll be yeah honest to be honest yeah that's what I'm saying he's a meod he it's not even just movies he makes money from merchandising and stuff doesn't he

still know Harrison Ford never sold his likeness I know that that's why none of the toys look like that's why Han Solo doesn't look like Han Solo yeah yeah I thought yeah there was that interview with Michael Keaton where he said that he he got a piece of the Batman merchandise and made more money off of that then he did off the film it's a good idea yeah wonder if he's still getting it cuz they're still releasing stuff from that movie cuz like even just the Lego the Batmobile and stuff that's well he wouldn't get he wouldn't get royalties from the Batmobile unless there's a little Michael Keaton sitting in there there is oh well there you go it just looks like a Lego man in a Batman suit but still it's meant to be here it's the 89 Batman I guess they

would have to the um there's that Batman 89 comic series out now where they've implicitly drawn oh him to look like Michael kadon um I say yes it was I and I completely lost it now damn you Dan I was going to I was going to talk about something else then I was like no I've just thought something I do have something to talk about um I finished Resident Evil biohazard oh you did I did uh biohazard it's [ __ ] excellent yeah biohazard not the village I I started the village okay but I'm not very far in it but I finished biohazard and I really enjoyed it and I was playing it on easy which you know wasn't yeah oh I don't have time to these days um and then I was

like I haven't finished a game in ages did I really spend that long playing this game cuz I don't feel like I have a lot of free time and it's and even that I wasn't like just playing that every time I got moment play it like you know a couple hours a week and then it comes up there it gives you stats I finished it in 9ish hours and I was like oh that's that's nice that's good yeah great that that 10 hour mark I think is good for like a single player story yeah so now I'm starting the village I don't know if I assume you've played through that Luke um no I haven't even finished B Hazard oh really okay I don't know why like a probably yeah you do it's a great game but I don't know I just yeah it

changes it shifts tone at the end too it does yeah once you leave the house I still just like the fact that it's Resident Evil but it has it's nothing to do with the original Resident Evils I love that because I you find out cuz I was like what is going on why is this even res evil and then later on you find oh all right all right they is tied in no no no that's fine that's how you do long stories like that is you focus in on how this world affects different characters that you haven't encountered yet and then you link that back to the main story I think I think that's a really good way of doing the I mean the plot of Resident Evil is ridiculous and this starts out not like that it's out very um like you're like what the [ __ ] is going on

it's like a big mystery in that and then later on you oh no it is [ __ ] ridiculous but that's good it's fine fine yeah yeah you in by then yeah yeah and then the village is even more ridiculous but I'm I'm all I'm loving it the tone of the village is very different too biohazard okay I think six was ridiculous as well I think seven was maybe a little black sheep in there of I think they sort of lost their way a bit six and I think that's why they course corrected with seven a little bit I didn't play six but I I kind of watched a bit I watched a play through on YouTube just to see if there was anything that I needed to know before playing Seven which I don't think there really was seven seven is set in in [ __ ] Eastern Europe and there are

actually that's not that many I guess no cuz that's a long time cuz remember it's not just well I just got show I'm not lying when I say I don't have time no I've got the stats to back I was going to call you out on it m I was being like no you got plenty of time you're just playing sports and going outside and having picnics instead of playing you've got to you got to bear in mind too that out of those 175 games how many have I finished does it tell you that um oh spoilers you have finished well no the stat the stats that I can get are how many games you completed all the achievements on oh there'll be n i mean that would yeah but but yeah the achievements doesn't mean that you've there are games correct me if I'm

wrong but there are games that are just that only have achievements for completing parts of the story there are some games out there yes and I quite like those ones so are there any on there that I have finished and got all of the achievements can you tell that have I ever done that um if it's not there it's likely that I haven't I'm just curious I can I can work at I could probably find it it does keep track of that no I mean don't worry about it too much I'm just curious if I've ever gotten all the achievements in a game I can find out Talk Amongst yourselves I'll be back in a moment all right while working this about oh yeah so going to say yeah short games it's good uh cuz I guess I'm used to playing

you know The Witcher and cyber Punk and Sky massive open world and these games don't so I was pleasantly surprised by when I finished Resident Evil I was like oh that's nice I think if you look at it though even with like The Witcher and stuff like that you could probably finish the story in 10 hours yeah cyber punk I Quest that you mention it but yeah it's the fact that you get distracted by everything else but if you're just focusing on Main story well Resident Evil you can't like cuz you literally you played it and it's done and and the areas aren't even that big like in fact you go you go over the same areas time and time again yeah but just with different motivations [ __ ] old house with the all the bugs everywhere and the old woman with the lamp margar

[ __ ] me that's where I'm up to terrifying and that trips you up too that area like once you're there you're there for a while trying your hardest to just not be there get us get through this to some other horrible [ __ ] location that's right yeah yeah good game man the second I was in the backyard I was like I'm [ __ ] free you're not you are not free far from free my and then and then I left the house and I was like oh all right must be near the end nope no nope oh no I thought the whole thing took place in the house that's how much I've not the whole thing no there's a location change yeah I think when I stopped playing it I was hiding from the woman with the lamp yeah right mhm mhm oh such a good game I want to

play seven now and I do own it cuz I bought it uh the intro is like you can tell immediately from the intro that the Tone's different and I think it's it's it's good yeah okay so I have it so have you seen the sexy vampire lady yet I have the giant oh yeah yeah have any seen a is she a giant yeah she's very she's yeah she's huge she's massive okay yeah you haven't quite completed a game you did sort of complete one thing remember when the Xbox one came out and there were sort of achievements that for just on the Xbox or like a streaming like YouTube watching videos on there and stuff like that yeah oh yeah yeah I've done that plenty of times so so so there's an achievement for that you got the they used to be they were bringing sort of not they weren't quite

achievements they were sort of just mil stes Milestones but you only did it for one and that was the the Xbox one one which is you are the first experience of new generation of entertainment welcome to Xbox so this is for okay you turned on your Xbox one it's yeah right okay yeah I did do that so that's the only one yeah yeah I can confirm that I did that probably more than times than I played games yeah there were times when I turned it on and didn't play a game I'm sure cuz I got distracted by reality so mhm damn reality and getting in the way of stuff I know trying to think what we were talking about before when I got distracted and I was going to say something some M oh that's what it was did you see that [ __ ] trailer for The

Robocop game that's coming out it's only on Playstation yes but like no no it's coming to Xbox as well is it okay good I believe so it's I know that the trailer only had PlayStation on it look like a [ __ ] open world Robocop game you drive around and F crime and [ __ ] yeah and there's a Terminator Survival game set in the future they announced both of them no it's like a futuristic well I mean I don't want to brag but guys I've got uh I've got Robocop versus Terminator on my retroid pocket to right here yeah if you recall that gem from the arcade era of course but yeah it's RoboCop Rogue City and it's releasing June 23 and yeah it is coming to Xbox which June 23 switch that's next year it's coming to switch as well interesting looks

excellent yeah yeah and they even get what's his name to come back and do the voice did they Peter yep that's fantastic so yeah it's his it's that RoboCop it's not that it is to us I don't know if this is said in the8 I thought it because of Michael Keaton because Michael Keaton was in the new Rob that was the tie that I that I was like what was I think what was I thinking about oh Michael Kon was in the new Robocop that new Robocop was quite for a couple of good moments but uh yeah not really necessary yeah just like RoboCop 3 really and also it's a you like njas the one thing that point in where every movie had to have ninjas yeah exactly and jetpacks I think the the worst part about the new rootch to me

was how he sort of got injured to be turned into RoboCop he got blown up and sort of fell backwards a little bit um in the original one he gets shot to [ __ ] he has his leg shot off that literally traumatized me when I was a kid I'd never seen like that in a movie before and my friend until later in the movie where you see a guy get [ __ ] toxic waste spilled on him and then hit by a car just liquefies yeah we we watched that we all probably watched that when we were far too young because that was not a kid movie definitely too young to watch and it literally like traumatized me when I the first time as cool as rooc cops are if that's what you have to go through to become one I don't want to like cuz I i' had never seen anything like that before in a movie no remember when he shoots

that guy in the dick yeah that was fine yeah you know what I think I think the the rest of the movie because you know it's I mean it's it's all very tongue and cheek and it's a little bit funny I think the rest of the M like obviously that that sequence where they kill what's his name in it um Murphy Murphy um they they kill him and and I was oh my God like literally horrified by but then the rest of the movie was like kind of funny enough that it kind of yeah yeah well little at the time Paul verhoven was making a parody a satire of' 80s action movies and in the at the same time made one of the greatest A's action movies ever made the

genius he he some times he's a genius sometimes he's done very good stuff and then some very not good stuff and then show Girls show girls I was what I was thinking of although yeah that was awful he did redeem show Girls by being the first director to sharpen accept his razi award correct yeah 100% yeah although since then I think people have done it but he was the first person to ever show up and accept it in person yeah um show Girls was awful um I also watched his naughty lesbian nun movie from only a couple years ago which was again not near as good as I wanted it to be Starship Troopers is good star Troopers St Troopers um Total Recall is good oh [ __ ] yeah of course I was like what was those others yeah yeah total Rec but even um uh I

quite like Basic Instinct oh sure and not just because there's a vagina in it people only remember the vagina but it's actually a very good thriller 80s kind of ironic Thriller but also I just find I I don't think Basic Instinct in him to me they just it's not the type of movie he would do just feels out of place when you look at the the whole Cannon of his work it's not because he is very eclectic and we I think we're just lucky that in addition to liking these kind of adult psychological thrillers he also just loves science fiction and action yeah God I remember seeing Starship Troopers in the movies when I was yeah I remember you walking back from the movies to to my house you were there there and basically we walked from middle of pen back to Cambridge Park in

like 20 minutes cuz we just so hyped yeah I think I was there for that yeah yeah I know and then people I hear people talk about it now going oh yeah it's like Pro military propaganda I'm like you didn't watch it no what watch till the end yeah that's the genius of that movie is that it holds your hand and takes you places that you think are the end destination and then suddenly it lets go of your hand and goes why do you think that you're [ __ ] fascist exactly it's so good don't I know I feel like come on you the scene where the kids are all stomping the bugs you didn't pick up on like that was a joke like come on man yeah yeah yeah yeah it's he's a sa like stump come on man

yeah I saw our trivia host was talking about how ridiculous it was that the LI the that when they're doing the basic training that they're on a live fire range and they don't have like the helmets and they running around and I'm like you haven't you you weren't paying attention were you yeah it's not a that's not a plot hole no no yeah I think that again it what he was saying came across funny cuz I was like yeah no that's not a plot hole mate I it's actually is just weird because it got two sequels that were just yes terrible and a and a series sequels SE CU they did the third one that has Casper in it again animated one y the animated stuff is actually quite I quite like the animated stuff yeah I'll also

just take the opportunity to just also point out that Casper vendan has made Luke an official rough neck mhm oh there remember when I posted my um pop vinyl thing and he commented on it living the dream pretty cool I I I say we've all had some we also had some great celebrity encounters but that one's up there with one of the best that one's definitely up there um my my favorite that I've had was Lance Henrickson saying wow you know a lot about movies yeah yeah yeah defin Lance I do I do I know a lot about your movies yeah that's right thanks for justifying my entire life now if I could just ask you again about putting tin foil on your teeth yeah at the end of Alien 3 when Bop and

and he was like I don't know yeah he said they gave they said come to England have cup of tea and some some tea and fil for a day and I said sounds good mhm yeah yeah cuz there was really no purpose for him to be in that movie no um they said do you want to do another alen movie and he said no not really no and then he said they said I will pay you x amount and you can just drink tea and eat biscuits and he went sure why fine fine yeah I just want if I had one wish maybe not one wish but uh you wish for more wishes if I yeah if I could wish for more wishes and I could just imagine any movie and it would exist I would imagine that they did do the turn at the Terminator that James

Cameron wanted to make and argued to the studio to make where Lance Hendrickson played the Terminator yeah and OJ Simpson was uh man [ __ ] hell [ __ ] hell I got actually the other the my other my other favorite thing about when I was talking to lens hson is that he kept calling James Cameron jimc and he knew I knew who he meant and he felt comfortable calling him Jim and it made me feel like we were just talking about our ual friend Jim yep yep yep yep I had a similar moment when I was chatting with Austin wells's daughter and she mentioned Steven talking about Steven Spielberg for the same thing knowing that she didn't have to say which which Steven so good yeah top bloke LS what a guy [ __ ] he's great [ __ ] he's great does he do

anything these days yeah he just sits around regretting AVP probably no he's in he's in Stu I follow him on Instagram he's in he's in a couple of films and he's um I want to know actually Lance he does Pottery I know that he does I don't want to have to take these back and because it was recently the anniversary of uh Millennium and cuz he posted a oh [ __ ] yeah yeah he posted a picture from from back in the day okay video game called The Quarry coming out this year oh yeah playing it's actually a good game yeah that too oh actually a lot of people are in there I need to finish that in fact more famous people than that than those two are in it but the two I like I I mean in terms of people that we like that's probably the two most important it's

also got David Arad Ariel Winter I own that game twice because the achievements are stackable and it cost me an extra $10 to buy a pack where I got both versions When the Sun Goes Down on the last night of summer camp n teenage count are plunged into an unpredictable night of horror that's right up my alley so oh yeah but yeah it's it's like an interactive movie kind of thing right it's yeah it's um got the sort of same mechanics a little bit as like The Walking Dead and games of that genre now like you do have control of characters moving around but you it's more you're experiencing a story The only reason I didn't I saw it and I I clicked through to it and I'd seen uh the Youtube trailer and everything it looked good but it seems like it's very expensive

for what I thought it was so actually I'm curious so you've played it right yes yeah it's worth a full price game like I I I I think so because all right it does look great but maybe not quite because tell games those kind of things have wared my perception of what that kind of game should cost so when I saw it I was like oh it's one of those and then I saw the price in I think it was like $50 when it launched and I was like bucks it's [ __ ] expensive yeah it's probably it's not quite worth that a full price but it's also shouldn't be like half that price that it's that mid-range I think it needs to be pick it up on sale it is what it's

worth what people pay for it so whatever but yeah no it is good cuz yeah it's basically you just making decisions and watching the outcome at the moment I've got everyone alive but sometimes you can be thinking you're making the right decision to and then it turns around do you even walk around or you just literally just pick what you can walk around as well so you walk around the stuff and then it'll come up with like quick decisions like run or hide or jump y put your dick away drop your Dr drop to your knees offer to suck their [ __ ] so they leave you alone like the butt to suck faster just so I know I cuz I'm probably going to need he X yeah y rapidly hit my ex I mean I don't know what she's doing in the game but all right that's all for this week she [ __ ] deserves it
