[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy so I just finished watching an episode of House OH TR try to come in been watching that show a lot lately one of the scenes that was on was they were sitting in front of a a TV screen playing a computer game mhm and it's still one of those times where it's a madeup computer game why do they have to do that can they not get like a real game to play for the screen they want to pay for one I bet easier to pay for someone to make a fake one yeah but if you were to go to like a small Indie studio and go hey can we just have

your game for this will give you nothing but exposure you get better than the crap pretend games that they have nothing but exposure is the name of my new band by the [Laughter] way you wonder what the live Show's like clues in the name yeah that's right we're supported by the uh the Butcher Babies they don't do that anymore I know we've growing up in fact they got mad want people to come we want people to come to our shows for our music not our tits yeah and they got mad about it and I was like you did used to get your tits out so come on well nothing but exposure our opening song is called stop looking at my dick people can look at my dick if they want to yeah yeah we know we know it's a it's an open invitation yeah I don't want people too if they're that

interesting so were you watching house this week because you have been going through a a series of medical diagnosis no I've been watching it for uh with Hannah for a while now we're up to season 7 right so I've been watching it for like a year now you know I think I've that there only seven seasons am I right there's eight oh there's eight okay see I don't actually know I never watched all of it so I might might be about where you are in it certainly never watch years it was a great show but they really didn't do anything to change it up and I felt it got a little repetitive after say the second or third season yeah but sometimes it's nice just to watch something like that you don't have to really think you know the

formula yeah lupus always formula is lupus yep yeah he's what's he doing now H Lori speaking his own accent again is he allowed to no banned he'll be arrested s his one true love is like American Louisiana folk music oh yeah yeah yeah I've heard he now records albums and tours with his folk band yeah I think Jenna has a few of his albums no it's pretty cool I didn't know that Anthony head is also a musician that's true head or Anthony Stewart head well I mean he goes by both I think Stewart's probably his middle name Tony Tony if you know him as well he's uh check him out on Spotify that's Giles from Buffy if anyone's wondering who the [ __ ] that is it sounds like

you're making a segue but you're not right you're just you're just throwing that piece of information out there yeah yeah yeah no just I just thought of it um Spike was also a musician James James Masters yeah he's got a band called ghost of the robot yeah we saw him play when Luke and I saw him play uh everybody was excited because they thought it was at a uh pop culture Supernova yeah Supernova Pop Culture Expo uh and he was there as the guy who was Spike and then he did a little show afterwards and he said first thing by the way I'm not doing any songs from Buffy or any songs from My Band this is going to be new stuff Me acoustic wow a lot of was quite sexual what

Luke was very aroused yeah well not like super graphic or anything like that but there were sort of sexual overtones I can't remember the exact details but they were there I saw a uh I saw a Q&A with him once at remember that Buffy conon that they used to do did you guys ever go to that okay never mind doesn't exist and I certainly didn't go to it but um he was I don't care about it till we'll be in our 40s by then and so it probably won't be really something should yeah yeah but look speaking of TV uh the [ __ ] trailer for The Dark Crystal resistance came out this week holy [ __ ] amazing amazing [ __ ] even I'm looking forward to this and I wasn't

a fan of the original you weren't a fan of the oh I was and I'm not all at the same time okay I had the younger sister go on right her favorite movie for a while oh so you had to watch it a lot so remember when you had to go to like the video store yeah [ __ ] to the video store yeah but remember when that was like when I'm going back to like when I was under 10 yeah when that was sort of like that was an experience go to video stores back then [ __ ] it was brilliant what are you talking about yeah so that I could hire the Labyrinth again yeah yes so my sister would swap between Greece okay Dark Crystal and Labyrinth but I assume you got to pick one as well it wasn't just like well let's all go to the uh the video store so that Sarah can pick

out another video for us to watch what was what was under 10 Luke's favorite movie uh pretty sure you can guess yeah was it Robotech no no star I'm going to say Star Wars and I'm that's the one I certainly made my parents rent for me the most yeah was there a robot those three movies over there was but not at the video store I went to okay I don't think I don't think any video stores really had robot Tech movies because that was sort of I was under 10 when I had my um Robotech AC why are we saying under 10 like that's the thing did I miss something what there's not a catchphrase that's like under 10 why why is 10 the cut off now starting it yeah over 18 under 10 under 10 sure so it's the same we've got some other under 10 News

coming up later so I'll just tease to that have we all right good now we've got some under 14 years though oh but yeah back to so that was so she used to put that on and me being the older brother would be oh this is terrible I don't want to watch it but I liked it who am I kidding it was good but still got that sort of mixed feelings about it but I love the I love how it I love that Luke got annoyed that he had to watch The Dark Crystal seven or eight times can you imagine how often your sister had to sit through [ __ ] Star Wars and I'm sure she doesn't like that [ __ ] at all um she used to when she was breastfeeding Chloe would put that on when she'd wake up in the middle of the night to have to feed my niece Chloe that's the movie thanks for clarifying

that it's your niece that she was breastfeeding not her niece yeah we all took turns breastfeeding she didn't actually like it her college [Laughter] roommate do you know she can drive [ __ ] whatti and drive my niece Chloe can drive yeah that's uh that's making me feel really old really old yeah yep she doesn't have a peas yet that I know of but yeah she can she can drive for listeners not in Australia peas means you're allowed to drive without supervision yeah because people that don't know that probably thought that Luke was just saying that she hasn't got a period yet yeah can legally drive can legally drive without supervision right right right yeah physically it's possible from a very early age under 10

in fact yeah I know a lot of under 10s that drive um Dark Crystal is a [ __ ] great movie and I don't care what you say um I got emotional watch in this trailer actually I did too especially since it just looks right yeah it looks right it looks exactly the same yeah yeah it looks like Brian fra took a big dump all over the screen I love it yeah it's um you went with that I was going to say he ejaculated all over the screen yeah see there you go slight guess just read things differently yeah um but they you know I mean for all intent and purposes this looks like the same thing only more of it it's not just some crazy reboot [ __ ] A's there chamberlains there they're all [ __ ] like just it looks beautiful yeah it really

does you're down with the clown not long to wait yeah August and it's it's a series too it's not just going to be some oneoff thing damn I hope it's good hey guys we could binge watch it together oh yeah you're saying we should all get together for our holiday on that a to and up the Netflix yep that would be silly wouldn't it no quality time is silly Luke that's right you don't even like the Dark Crystal so no you guess it would be so it means a lot to us that you're coming way out just to watch that Crystal with this yeah very funny but you're right say it does look like like what you remember in the original it just looks like it's in higher definition yeah yeah yeah

slightly more detailed backgrounds yeah it just looks great any yeah in like Flynn um speaking of uh well under 10 I did tease to some under 14s news yeah I mean there's there's a few things that we're allowed to do uh that people under 14 aren't allowed to do you know they're too numerous to list really but there is one thing that people 14 and below can do that we are prohibited from doing and that's uh that's going to Star Wars land at Disney in Cosplay and that's [ __ ] wait really so if you go to Galaxy's Edge and you're a kid yeah knock yourself out dress up if you're an adult yeah no [ __ ] you and the reasoning behind it I actually it makes sense yeah it does make sense yeah they just

basically don't want someone walking around in a full out stormtrooper outfit which will make people think that hey he worked here being a dick to people or showing his dick to people right so yeah it's unfortunate but I so want to dress up when I go there can you wear a Star Wars t-shirt I assume that's okay yes what if I owned the Han Solo jacket and I wore that is that okay you could probably get away with that it's if you wearing like the what if I wor the Han Solo jacket but my pant also have a stripe down the side and I've got riding boots on is that okay make sure make sure the stripe is yellow okay I'm just trying to find where the line is you know it says I think it's oh they they

will decide what the line is it say you could dress in outfits inspired by favorite characters you just kind of dress up as there's a thing called Disney bounding this as a sex act is called which is you sort of colors I know slow down Disney dress up in colors and themes that people know what you're dressed as but you're not dressed as exactly like that right look it up it is a thing I I am looking at I didn't dream this is that how you get away with looking almost like Donald Duck at Disneyland initiated Disney bounding is a subtler more fashion forward way of fans to show their love for Disney oh it is it's when you essentially dress in the exact colors of a Disney character

but you're not actually dressed up as them so you dress him up in say a a modern day version of the snow white outfit yes huh all right I think we should push the limits of this when we go I think we should also I'm starting to think I might have to push back when we go to this place Sol I've been reading some stuff and I need to save you can schedule time there now I think right it's open to yeah at the moment you have to have till the end of July or something I think you have to have a reservation yeah go into that park for it's not open to the public yet it's only open to pre-reserved spots or four hours they've had a bunch of a bunch of YouTubers have been there like Jenny Nicholson put up a video about it she's been there and and

so they've had like I guess high profile people in everyone says It's [ __ ] amazing so I guess that's good the only thing I've heard that's criticized I was on this Star Wars Reddit and uh there was one guy going H you know the the lightsabers you can build are not even Cannon they're 2 in too short to be considered Cannon come on I'm getting one but still but come on what how we how going to be Canon anyway it's like oh look [ __ ] Luke and Dan went and they've got lightsabers so I guess now we have to write them into the films the Jedi never going to believe this is real so what are other reasons why I'm not looking forward to going too soon is one of the rides isn't even open yet yeah yeah so they've only got the is it the Millennium Falcon ride that's open

yeah and I think they're still working on Rise of the resistance I think is the other ride yeah yeah cuz somebody said that uh so the Millennium Falcon R apparently the line for that is going to be [ __ ] basically infinite because it's quite long yeah and and but apparently it's everyone's saying it's like the the best literally the best [ __ ] ride in the universe so that I mean in the Galaxy yeah but the other one the resistance one is the is supposed to be the kind of like you know just [ __ ] dump people in there and give them a ride kind of thing like it's got going to have big throughput so it's weird that they don't have that open yeah yeah you think they do it the other way around so yeah but then again sort of have the faster one if you want if you want buch

to say about it I don't think you need to worry about celebrities saying nice things about this is going to be people are going to go well [ __ ] George Lucas went on opening day I was almost surprised to see him there yeah he went with his buddy Steven Spielberg I think he's getting more involved with Star Wars I just have a feeling have you guys yeah well apparently he's visited the set of episode 9 yeah I don't know I think when he sold it and then when the other moves we made I think he may have been a bit had the shits a little well he did dist himself he very publicly came out and said this isn't what I would have done yeah he said I wrote stories I threw him away like he's starting to go to the sets and starting to yeah I think he's we did a did a bit

of work on solo if you recall mhm yeah well you had to help out helped out iing sacked everyone else yes someone had to have you guys taken a listen to Blockbuster no you know what it is a podcast yeah it's a pod but it's a it's like a radio play so it's it's a dramatic podcast about Lucas and Spielberg coming up through Film School making their first movies and becoming stars and popularizing the Hollywood Blockbuster it's um it's a bit of revision it's it's certainly not anything you don't already know but it's fun and it's got you know it's got some some voice actors and I was music cues someone doing a George Lucas voice yeah of course it's a main character someone's doing the someone's doing the Steven Spielberg voice as well that's

all I'm going to say I know I can do a Steven Spielberg voice no I don't think you're should try yeah I don't know if I should try yeah I'm probably going to be offensive if I try so I won't practice Johny Williams is a character in there Matt is he so yeah he's a big character big part of it m me [ __ ] mute me then yeah that's exactly right yeah that's a whitest kids You Know sketch in case wonder what the [ __ ] I'm talking about well speaking of those people oh wait no that's offensive I didn't mean that I meant Star Wars people not not bber people yeah sorry okay just to clarify I meant uh Harrison Ford actually okay yeah he's come out and he's made a statement about uh about all this talk about you know Indiana Jones

and who might take over uh I've got a little clip I'd like to play of him oh please do okay talking about about Indiana Jones when when you're done with that role yeah who would you like who would you like to see as Indiana Jones nobody El is going to be Indiana Jones ever don't you get it no one I'm Indiana Jones so when you're gone it's gone when I'm gone he's gone it's easy so that's that I guess well there you go no fuing end off story but uh is it actually his decision I don't know but he sounds pretty pretty firm on that yeah it's still one of those things I think they did miss their chance to reboot it while he was alive well they didn't miss their chance unless they want to go with uh he still

alive still hope no cuz remember there was talk of um Chris Pratt yes but taking over I mean and they've asked him that directly before too and he said no sorry yeah no I think probably you know who I think should play IND me I think that guy from I think that guy from solo should step [Laughter] in and just not even do a [ __ ] impression of every single remake or reboot with anything that starred Harrison Ford it's now that guy yeah he does the regarding Henry reboot Air Force One Two yeah regarding Henry Indiana Jones and the second Last Crusade the penultimate Crusade the penultimate Crusade that's the name of this podcast you know I uh I watched all

three Indiana Jones movies recently um I watch them every couple of years I guess but [ __ ] good one thing they're [ __ ] great they're great I watched all three of them n said and uh one thing though when I was a kid uh the Last Crusade was kind of my favorite because it was the funniest and it had kind of the biggest action set pieces and stuff in it but when when you watch them all back to back I I think it's definitely the least the least interesting because it's basically just a soft reboot of Raiders yeah yeah the plot is identical a Biblical Relic needs to be found before the Nazis get it in like it's it's just beat by beat the same movie the second one the Temple of Doom is is

a far better movie than I remember it cuz in my head it was like this kind of tonal mess with like you know they kind of wacky kid and and then the RAC quite racist R but [ __ ] me man if if Raiders of the Lost AR was an homage to the old serial republics of the 30s and 40s then then Temple of Doom takes that one step further like it's just the most cinematic as a in fact I think it might be the first one that I saw and I used to just I just used to watch it all the time CU it's got the [ __ ] rope Bridge it's got yeah the the minecart Chase just all the stuff I loved as a kid yeah like actually two things L as kids Minecart

chases and rope bridges yeah I I used to watch I think I taped a uh behind the scenes of how they made the mine cart Chase with all the Miniatures and stuff so when when they stopped using stop motion and they invented something called go Motion no I'm serious you know about this it sounds like a joke so I I know sorry I'm not doing a goof here this is actually should probably rewatch that that behind the scenes thing because I didn't yeah yeah you should basic basically stop motion you get frame by frame right but when you actually watch film not every frame is crisp because there's motion blur so they what they did on this for the first time in any movie is that they would take one frame then they would take half a frame then

another half frame and then another full frame so that every other frame was essentially a blur of two frames that's that's cool that's fascinating yeah they called it go Motion yeah cuz I that and uh and Tim Burton's Batman there was a behind the scenes of Tim Batman I watched too and they were kind of they that was the period where I was starting to get interested in like film making so Amen to that man I had a there was a Empire Strikes Back at video at my local video store just bringing this back to the for the to the front of this show just calling back um actually my first ever video store wasn't even a video store it was at a [ __ ] petrol station and it

was just the back wall so the first actual video store that opened up near me had this thing and it was called spfx special effects and it was basically just how they did the effects of Empire and um it was where I learned about blue screens and I spent an entire day coloring pieces of blank paper blue Plastering my wall with them so essentially I had a green screen like a blue screen and then I just played Star Wars in front of that blue wall so you can put you you're getting ready for the phantom menace like you're hoping so yeah I was hoping somebody would just add the backgrounds in later did you see that uh there was a you know that famous photo of George Lucas surrounded by all the the models from the the original trilogy and then

the someone put him next to the green screen and was like originals and then prequels but then I just recently someone posted a photo of it's that photo of George with all the props and everything like that and someone said what would you grab from this room and Mark Hill retweeted it and he said George's wallet that's fantastic also I've just found the picture that you that you mean and it's hilarious yes my Cam's [ __ ] hilarious yeah he is ge's wallet that's why I'm looking forward to going to see Chucky when it comes out just because Mark Ham's doing the voice yeah Yep they're rebooting all these Batmans at the moment and we've got some Batman reboot news coming up Batman all the Batman all these Batman

um there's there's a lot of Batman these days uh but my favorite Joker has always been uh well yeah there's a new Batwoman and it's um that [ __ ] radio DJ from Sydney R anyway he couldn't pay me enough to watch that but uh as always saying Mar ham has always been my favorite Joker And as far as I know he's not even he's not even getting a look in but I think I think they should I think they should let him audition for it let him do the actual physical yeah [ __ ] it why not he's got the voice down well speaking of Batman Robin Patterson confirmed oh yeah Luke ejaculated oh wait wait sorry do that again [Music] H yeah that's I I I still I don't see it

I don't see him as bman I don't see it either but M made a valid point a couple of weeks ago and he said nobody nobody saw Michael Keaton either and he was a [ __ ] fantastic Batman yeah but I like I liked him before no you didn't you play you like Michael before Mr M Googling Mr Mom I don't think that came out first multiplicity that was all for sorry okay Mr Mom yes if you saw that in 1983 when it came out when you were 2 years old I'll give that to you I've got no way of disproving that but multiplicity is early '90s surely when he was two years old Mommy can we watch Michael Keon yeah I hope he gets a big superhero franchise Michael has been cast as Batman I'm so happy is that Luke oh Mr mom's got Terry

gar in it um I'm trying to think of other ones are but yeah like I did think I did not not like Michael Keaton to start with why even if I thought nothing of him a lot of under 10y olds weren't happy about him being cast as yeah which is ironic because they were really going for that under 10 Market yeah well chasing when I was under 10 [ __ ] NAB me all right another one that I like me Beetle Juice oh yeah yeah I hadn't seen at that stage yeah I hadn't seen be look I actually don't mind Robert patson I haven't seen him in very many things but he was in a movie called Cosmopolis which I think is a film by oh yeah uh it's not John Carpenter is it it's either John Carpenter or it's uh

David Cronin cron there you go the other the other John Carpenter David Cronenberg um and it's a great movie and he's he's good in it um I think that might be all I've seen him in so I haven't seen any of those gay vampire movies so I'm not well I've seen them and then I mean they're terrible but it doesn't really mean anything because there's a bunch of really good actors in them and they're terrible in that too so like like nalie Portman in Star Wars like doesn't really represent her acting ability you know no so uh I've seen him in Harry Potter and he's in Harry Potter yeah he's in Goblin of fire he plays uh the goblin of fire yeah Cedric di oh okay yeah certainly sounds like a Harry Potter character not that I've

seen any you know I maybe I don't dislike him cuz I seen nothing he has been in yeah maybe it's just by asso I to say don't don't kiss him Luke because you certainly taste Christian Stewart on his lips in fact just to be on the safe side don't suck his dick either what do you think what do you think chrisan Che it tastes like oh to stale tobacco I think why are you asking me cuz you're the one we the one with the in intense hatred of her I assume you put some thought into it what do you think she tastes like I I got nothing think she tastes like nothing well I mean that would fit with the personality I suppose she she tastes like the nothing from the never- Ending Story tastes she tastes like clouds that

envelop you wow that's I mean all right that's [ __ ] goth go with it [ __ ] go with it so Robert patson is Batman I wonder if he's going to bulk up I [ __ ] hope so well that that's one of the reasons why I don't think he's a good pick for it I always I'm used to Batman being are you did Michael Keaton bulk up no did Ben Affleck bulk up just a little too much yes yeah and look I mean [ __ ] Hollywood can certainly bulk people up they've done that before like they look at Christian Bale went from The Machinist to Batman like literally within months went from The Machinist to Batman so it could be done mate Chris Pratt went from the fat guy in that sitcom yeah yeah but you know he did

that on his own cuz they said to him he was he really wanted to do Star-Lord and James gun was like no I'm getting the fat guy from [ __ ] parks and wck as Star-Lord Disney's going to kill me and then apparently his the the casting agent was like come on give him a shot and so he said all right if you can get in shape oh well all talk and then that's when he famously disappeared off social media for 6 months and then post did that photo on Instagram of him [ __ ] ripped and everyone was like yeah what the [ __ ] well he wasn't even when he was he wasn't like super big to begin with no no he wasn't obese but he certainly didn't have a sixpack yeah he didn't look like he [ __ ] looks now and and actually just saying he's he's not super big because I think I'm about the same

size as him now look I think they must was the same some hope for you then just get C must yeah you're probably a bit older than him too though like if I if you know M say he's probably a good 10 years younger than us isn't he Chris PR is he he' be in his 30s let's see he's 39 he's the same age as us Dan oh there you go Okay so we've got no excuse so he yeah he's actually older than me yeah all right well no he's actually older than you guys he was born in 79 he turns turns 40 this year so so we've got one year to get in shape yeah we got one no okay that's all right Matt are you still going on the gym every morning I know that you really were getting into that not at the moment I'm going to physical therapy for my knee oh so oh [ __ ]

okay uh so I've been uh no staying away from it's fine that's fine it's good yeah no I've been but I've been given permission to uh start running and stuff again this week so right take it easy your first time running back I will I will don't worry I always take it easy that's why I'm not in shape while we've pause to uh to discuss our health Luke you in good health this week I I had lots of scans this week oh yeah they took lots of blood and then I go see Specialists on Thursday and Friday my blood maybe can they clone you probably oh oh they had stuff to clone me long ago stuff we get two Lukes on this show imagine that I think I could handle it we could just roll one out anytime one of us was away and we had to uh yeah this week three LS to two

probably would just drive up I take back that recommendation then yeah that's why we're going to drive up in the afternoon stay at a hotel a romantic getaway is what I'm calling it okay you and your Xbox yeah it's sunny coming you and Larry Nelson having a romantic getaway I won't get to see him this year I met him last year oh yeah yeah he saw E3 last year last year year before Hing we at E3 the year before how believe we haven't been to E3 at the same [ __ ] time I know it's insane next year yeah maybe bunch of idiots we are need to work out logistics we should just communicate more I guess 2020 oh that no 2021 I'm definitely going to that one okay 2021 well that's the year I've got my I've got my year off I was going to say

you're just holding out that there's going to be some really good stuff announced in 2021 man there might not even be a [ __ ] E3 in 2021 the way are going it really does seem that everyone are you saying that global warming would have taken us over by then that's right Los Angeles is going to be gone well unfortunately that means I'll probably be gone as well CU Arizona Bay you ride on the other side of uh the yeah I think You' be fine you know no if the water rises you know I'm that's true pretty close to it the uh have have you guys seen you remember when we that shortlived game of Civ 6 that we were playing oh yeah I think it's not my turn I I'm checking it all the time I don't know whose turn it is but it's the most unfun game I've ever played in my life

we need to keep going cuz we're getting up to the stage where no we're not we're still Far Far Away I've literally not had anything to do yet I just keep moving a dude around going I've but have you seen that research completing I've got things being built [ __ ] Luke's going to kick her ass Ro still have no idea what I'm doing not what's happening over in my place let me tell you my guys are just rubbing sticks together trying to start a fire yeah yeah and my guys are looking around trying to steal sticks off other [ __ ] oh yeah I've I've been Barbarian camps really okay wow okay Jesus right had some extra goes yeah still not sure what I meant to be doing which is a bit of a problem no you just need to survive that's that's the point of it

but did you guys know that there's a new there's a new add-on for it this DLC that incorporates global warming into the game oh hang on no I knew that it's got there's a bunch of natural disasters and stuff right like you can get volcano and [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah you could be doing super well and then a [ __ ] tital wave will just wipe you out just like in real life yeah just like in real life yeah wow yeah that would kind of suck but yeah yeah it's not ideal no it's real life for you speaking of things that suck I uh so I didn't mean to say it we're not going back to under 10 are we l no I don't know that was pretty gooded Jesus um cut but this people D Bar picnic this is um this

probably is under 10's news actually so if we do want to do a jingle for under 10's news I guess don't know that we need a jingle for guess we could put it here I me um can you sing as a little jingle I really don't think we this the if it comes up again in two more episodes then we will get one okay that's the jingle Matt could you please put some music to that I'll figure something out yeah um I saw the Aladdin remake did you yeah I saw it yeah I saw it did oh did you get comp course I didn't [ __ ] pay for it kidding no no I was at the premiere um this is the worst movie I've ever seen ever really and I can't remember what the second worst movie I've ever seen is I.E what I would have said the worst movie I've

ever seen was last week before I saw this but whatever it was so much worse so much worse wow this might be their first failure as far as that goes the the other ones the be the Beast one was all right it made the old man sit next to me cry oh joking you man yeah yeah he looked lonely and he was like cry like soon as this movie is over you're going to go home and I'm going to be alone again y um yeah no look I haven't seen that because I mean I I think the original cartoons of these are pretty damn good it's the Golden Age of Disney as far as I'm concerned from Little Mermaid on up to Pocahontas and everything in between

but uh I don't see the need to remake them and this Aladdin should just I just don't know what they were thinking I just don't know what they were thinking movies are them for them to remake cuz I know they won't do Snow White they are doing Snow White Luke that's the next one really I know they it baffled me too because that seems like it'd be really really un PC well John Fab's [ __ ] Lion King comes out soon you seen a trailer for that yeah yeah John I saw that one but yeah no way they can do no white the thing is Matt The Lion King they they're dubbing this as the liveaction remake of The Lion King it's [ __ ] animated as well it's just another cartoon it's got I think it's like got some live action stuff in it doesn't it or no no I don't think

so like real lions dancing and singing film The backgrounds and then insert the fake animals got any humans in it oh no there's no humans in it is there in the story no no you're right John fr's Jungle Book was like that but it does have a human in it M yeah you know yeah which that you can make sense well you can still call that live action I would say but this one though it's just a pretti graphics and also they've got no not all of the same cast but they've got James L Jones back to do muasa and uh and God knows why they didn't get Jeremy Irons back because what the [ __ ] like yeah man but hey just speaking no I don't understand the point either um look we can get back to

Aladdin in in in a minute if you want I mean I'm happy to just list all the ways it sucked but basically it just suck because it was directed by Guy Richie who's only made one good movie and that was 30 years ago and um yeah and it STS Will Smith you know how I I've always said Will Smith is just good in everything you know like he's just fine in everything he's like Tom Cruz he is I will no longer say that he's not good in this Matt he's [ __ ] atrocious and in an already bad movie he stands out as being awful and it's not his fault he's poorly written and poorly directed as is isn't it just the same script as the cartoon yeah imagine that imagine the same script but instead of Robin Williams it's Will Smith is he still doing I those two as

being interchangeable is he doing the same jokes all the same jokes plus a couple of extras that he's thrown in that's [ __ ] stupid yeah but who who could have played Aladdin no one and there was no need to make this I'm not Aladdin the genie like yeah there's no reason for it but yeah it's weird there was a reason money yeah of course well that's I mean that's the that yeah that is the reason they're doing all of these and and look the ones I mean like I said I I've seen the Beauty and the Beast one it was it was pretty good but I haven't seen any of the others what else they done so far they done have they done Cinderella uh I they did didn't they yeah they did they did yeah it had the girl from uh I don't know man what's that movie baby driver you know that

girl oh really the waitress I think it was yeah I think like madin from Twin Peaks she looks like yes yes like SP image of pretty sure it's Oh I thought you were I thought you were like oh and yes in Cas you want yes and yes yeah I was going to reference something back to what we talked about earlier but I realized that was off air and it wouldn't be a call back it would be me just making a joke uh yeah expense so yeah that's right it's a [ __ ] character from Twin peak's name remember the actress's name um you know I me the yeah she played one of the two peaks she was a waitress in inwi Peaks also which is why I think maybe that's why she looks so much like like they look alike CU she's also a waitress yeah exactly

that little Sim facial features both working in a diner so it's just like it's the same person yeah must be as far as I know there's only one Diner waitress yeah although uh I just watched [Music] um the Umbrella Academy which is [ __ ] great oh yeah yeah it's good in it oh my God Luke have you watched that I started watching the first episode and I thought it was going to be something I could throw on in the background while I played games no no no no watch no it's legitimately good yeah but anyway there's a sexy waitress in there that too so you know making the donuts well now I definitely got to go see it yeah I know what you mean Dan no I did start and then I realized no this is going to be good and I'm going to

need my full attention so that's why I stopped watching literally any woman puts on that little Dino waitress outfit instantly hot yeah the the blue with the like the white you know you know what it is D yeah that was a good show [ __ ] that tops man [ __ ] great cuz he plays he plays like a 70-year old man who in the body of a kid yeah under 10 he does it great he's not under 10 no he's he's a well he's early teens but he's a [ __ ] good actor yeah fantastic they're all good yeah agreed Ellen pagee was just Ellen Page mate I could have done without Ellen pagee and I've got to say like you're supposed to love the bad guy you know like you love you love Lex Luther with her it was just

like I hope they beat her because I just want her out of the show spoilers she was the bad guy spoilers spoilers yeah that's a pretty big spoiler well she isn't she isn't well she isn't she isn't but she is annoying hey speaking of Darth Vader and um speaking of James L Jones you know how those guys have redone is it scene 38 the uh Star Wars where where have mixed feelings about about that have you seen it yeah yeah Luke have you seen it what's this so some guys have reshot the scene from A New Hope where Vader meets Obi-Wan again and they fight because in real life as in in the movie uh they don't really say anything to each other but of course we know they've had all these prequels worth of backstory and stuff so they've kind of added a lot

into to make that moment as kind of as poignant as they feel it should have been um oh okay and it's interesting yeah fight very over long and I don't know it's I mean yeah cuz when I I've seen links to it and I thought they just like reshot the fight I didn't know they had new dialogue and and there's new new music cues and they went a little too far I I I don't disagree but someone else and I I'll put the link in the notes someone else did they've redone every scene in that movie where Darth Vader should have known more than he actually gave on that he knew oh that's oral KN oh right there you go but it it's very good and actually it's not always trying to be funny people who did the last laser master I don't know I don't

know what that is yeah I've played it for you guys once and okay I'm pretty sure you thought it was weird yeah I know I remember it the last laser Master Okay that does ring a bell that does ring a bell I it's starts ja's Palace and 3PO is yelling at Han Solo show them your power oh yes I do vaguely recall that all right I'll shut up this was better than that yeah it's fine but they've just added back in a lot of expository dialogue that that really should have been there now that You' now that they've kind of retrofitted the the prequels in Darth Vader was a lot less of just a side character than he should have been yeah which yeah no Star Wars alone

it doesn't need anything else it's like those memes where Obi-Wan's talking to Luke and he's like your father was a great pilot and I cut off his legs and arms and left him die in a pool of lava yeah and he was a good friend Yeah Yeah from a sh point of view that was terribly handled so terribly yeah that that particular plot I mean of all the things that were extrapolated from that one little tiny scene in New Hope a we got an entire movie called The Clone Wars like we didn't need it which was like it should have just been one little throwaway thing oh no no we went all over the Galaxy and fought in so many wars there was also this one called The Clone Wars and he was in that with

me and we were best made CU it's it's like THX 11138 right the whole I I understood it as the whole point was that it's it's like when as a as an outsid you watch some like Japanese Samurai film like you know and you don't understand the culture or the context fully but you don't need to and it's actually interesting because you don't and then you know like in tx11 38 like what are the [ __ ] cubes for and all that [ __ ] like no one knows you don't need to know it's they're doing stuff you don't get yeah it's supposed to feel like you're an outsider and then Star Wars had that and then and then they tried to [ __ ] explain everything like I don't know yeah you don't need to but then people want that these days apparently do they

well that was the whole the whole thing about the prequels was to we're going to find out what the Castle Run is we're going to find out what the [ __ ] stop it like actually after the solo Mo just now you just said the kle run it doesn't make sense they did it in a shorter distance cuz he did a lot more flying than he had to to get a he backtracked so took yeah mhm mhm yeah and are we just talking mileage like okay this was this was what was on your Speedo at the start and this is what's on it now and then they almost had the Battle of tab in [ __ ] solo as well cuz [ __ ] Lando mentions that once like oh just stop it you don't need to do that yeah yeah let's let's just stop doing that now [ __ ] apparently Dan erro will not be stopped see speaking of sequels nobody's

asking for or prequels in this case sequels and prequels yeah [ __ ] everyone's like just somebody put Dan akro in a in a home I think he's had enough no he's he he's you're starting to sound like Luke now wheel him into a corner and put a blanket over him he's done I I think danward needs to have a blanket put over him to be honest he's so he's now talking about doing a Ghostbusters prequel he's written it apparently prequel yeah he's written a Ghostbusters prequel that he's trying to [ __ ] everybody called name is it called is it got oh Ghostbusters high it's called Ghostbusters High yeah yep yeah okay yep and it's about the three characters in high

school before they were Ghostbusters well I guess this is like the reason they felt the need to become Ghostbusters yeah now there's only one movie he should be making a sequel to we know enough about that we don't need to know any more about that we know that [ __ ] Venkman just wants money and the rest of them are really passionate Ray's really passionate about it and Egon say a [ __ ] know that's all we need to know we know why they go actually I would have a hard time believing they're in high school together yeah yeah cuz they're not even friends really well well actually you know what that that them being friends in high school would explain why they're even friends I suppose but well you saying that the the fact that the three of us are friends in

high school is the only reason we're friends no but like you know the well I was just going to say when I was in high school I was friends with because I went to a small school I was friends with people that I wouldn't necessarily you know we don't have that much in common but we were at [ __ ] high school together so we were friends you know yeah okay you guys try try not to be offended by this only thing I want Dan to go back we go to high school no I know Dr Detroit Dr Detroit I haven't seen that I don't know what that is it was a terrible movie made in the80s where he plays a pimp who plays a pimp D you would make a terrible pimp and it was actually meant to be

there was actually meant to be a sequel but then it did terribly at the movies I'm not sure that other than Ghostbusters I actually like Dan arroy in anything well the reason I said he needs to be to to be you know popped away somewhere is because he actually BL Brothers sorry I'm Tak I'm taking yeah Blues Brothers [ __ ] Blues Brothers is top yeah he believes in ghost because he wants one to suck his dick yeah oh did you see they're doing a re-release of uh of Ghostbusters on Blu-ray and apparently it's going to include U you know the actual scene that that was oh you know to that yeah like they shot a whole sequence where they he and Ray not Ray who and Winston are doing um busting ghosts at some old military bunker and then ray goes in and pretends

to be like asleep in the bed and that's there was a whole sequence around it yeah like around him get the ghost [ __ ] and then they cut it out of the movie and you just get the little you know what do you call Montage [ __ ] bit but apparently there's a whole [ __ ] scene about him getting a BL job I believe they kept that in there look a while ago there was a game that came out the Ghostbusters video game oh yeah did you guys ever play it no I assume you don't mean the Ghostbusters 2 video games that I had on Amiga I played the Ghostbusters commodor 64 game and it was [ __ ] awesome yeah I remember that was great it it sort of continues on from Ghostbusters 2 and you're sort of being introduced as a new member of the Ghostbusters and it's

actually a really good game oh okay yeah right well they're remastering it right uh that's the rumor yeah I saw I think I saw that I think it's officially been announced okay thought I saw an article about it I thought maybe that was9 okay interesting no it's it was really interesting and it even had them doing the voices as well man they got Bill muray to do it did they I'm not sure not sure if Bill was there oh okay look according to polygon according to polygon they are remastering it yeah okay I thought so I recommend playing that game I'll keep my eyes out for that um but yes I can confirm other than uh The Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters I don't think I've ever liked Dan in anything I'm I'm going to sck to that I'm not going to bother looking it up but uh

yeah hey speaking of uh speaking of VI games did have you guys even played any more Red Dead 2 I forgot about that game to be honest since I finished it no yeah I didn't finish it I just forgot about it um I went in and tried to play it again once more and this just I think the problem is it's not a game that you can sort of pick up play play for an hour or two and then stop you really do need commit time but I also don't find it's a game that you can really just keep playing because it gets boring it's a game that starts off very slow but then when you unlock stuff it speeds up and then you get towards the end again and it starts to really slow down again oh that's right iast I forgot that does make stuff a lot better [ __ ] well anyway there's a fascinating looking glitch that's been happening where

um [ __ ] just piles and piles of dead horses have been appearing in town yeah yeah it's creepy like you'll just be riding past a field and it'll just be a field full of the carasses of dead horses so weird uh so apparently they're patching it uh but that's a sh we man I mean cuz that's like have you guys ever seen a really old western called El Topo by um Alexandra yasi it's um it's the scene that Mel Gibson sto stole the barn with the hanging bodies in it from uh from Braveheart oh yeah yeah stolen from that movie um but it's that's the kind of thing that would happen in El too was that there' just be a field full of dead horses no no one would mention it dead burnt horses how is that a glitch someone yeah it's weird

right someone murdered him no no roxar came out and said yes it was a bug how does that happen it's so weird oh the piles of dead horses yeah sorry it's a bug he weren't supposed to see that we just missed that in happens in just about every game well oh yeah that's where we keep the horse models before you you know when you whistle for your horse that's where we keep the dead burnt horse models when you that's when your horse got hit by the train we had to do something with the body didn't we oh my God this is like the end of uh all I don't want to give away any other spoilers but the end of Umbrella Academy with a pile of dead [ __ ] Pages no no but um a certain movie about two certain

magicians trying out oh sure yeah you know what I'm saying yeah yeah yeah yeah and he clones himself yes and there's haven't seen it in this you haven't seen it it's called The Illusionist it's it's not it's not it's not that is a movie that came out at the same time as this great movie that's right right but uh it's not this absolute classic Masterpiece of Cinema [ __ ] yeah so yeah this almost got me interested in playing Red Dead then I remembered I might I might give it another shot and it was fun I just I don't know I just every time I think about it I'm like eh no well the thing you can do is maybe just try and stick to the main story yeah yeah probably should that can also help so yeah sometimes it's just better to

just lower the difficulty and just yeah stick to my story it's what I'm doing at the moment cuz the I realized I haven't played the DLC for Assassin's Creed Origins oh yeah so just today I just sort of put une easy and I'm just knocking out the story is Origins the ancient Egypt yes that's one from a few years ago any good in that one um I I would recommend Odyssey more okay that was a better game if I'm going to be tempted by any it's Odyssey but I was also tempted by Black Flag cuz I like Pirates uh but as far as I can tell it didn't have a story the story was you run around and jump off things well do you tell me Dan do you like Zeus's dick uh love it yeah see you're going to love Odyssey I think yeah yeah you've sold me um but well there is a game coming out

soon that Ubisoft are making which is just Pirates okay so that might be is that that ship ship B was just delayed is that that the one with ship to ship combat or you are you thinking is there another no no no that's that's uh doz that look boring yeah I know the one talk about world of war ships I don't know there was some I don't mean actually I don't mean um sea of Thieves I don't mean that one I mean there's another one that I forget which some some it was it sh at E3 recent the ship to ship stuff in Black Flag was even more boring than the regular boring normal gaming to me yeah I enjoyed it yeah fair enough yeah

I got uh Assassin's Creed what's the one set in London um Unity no not Unity Serenity Sy syndicate syndicate yeah I got that for free at some point and I started to play it and I just yeah and even D Kenzie and London couldn't hold your interest it's got [ __ ] Jack the Ripper in it and I'm like eh see I I like getting lost in these games [ __ ] love Jack the Ripper uh yeah I guess I wish I had more time to play video games guys yeah no I know I'm holding out for sink in city that comes out later this month um oh yeah love craan story uh hopefully that's good because I've played nothing but Conan and the occasional occasional dipping back into Fallout 4 there's a game coming in a August I think you both like the outer

worlds that's the guys who made like Fallout New Vegas it's oh is that the new role playing game from obsidian yes this looks excellent that comes out in August looks excellent yes well they even they when they announced it they said it's coming out in 2019 and a leak that it's probably coming out in August and they're going to so it'll be announced officially next week at E3 yeah this pring yeah so this is the one that's sort of like yeah uh new The Fallout game we wanted pretty much whoa all right all right I will play the [ __ ] out of that it looks a little bit like um Firefly like it's got that kind of Space Cowboy vibe to it yeah listen before we move on from uh from this week's show into the Afterparty um I just want to recommend a movie

uh okay and it reminded me of of something that I know we've watched Luke I can't remember if you watched this with us but Matt when we were living together we watched a movie called I think it was called American horror movie I know what you mean I actually I can't remember the title of it either but I want to watch that again actually I think that is [ __ ] awesome that yeah okay it's just called American movie and it's from the late 90s and and it's it's just follows a bunch of kind of down andout borderline autistic filmmakers who try to make a horror movie and it's great like it's a documentary documentary yeah um if if you liked that I can also recommend I know you did can also recommend another documentary

called horror movie a lowbudget nightmare which is the behind the scenes documentary uh on another um down and out borderline autistic filmmaker by the name of Craig Anderson making making his movie red Christmas um so red Christmas is a horror movie that came out last year it's going to be on Netflix soon actually um huh and and the premise of that is that um a fetus survives the abortion and 30 years later hunts down its mother to kill her on Christmas Day what so that's out there for the watch too but if you do get a chance if you do get a chance to watch horror movie a lowbudget nightmare I mean we've made films right we've we've all made films and and making films is hard work but I got legitimate anxiety that's why I quit

the industry I know yeah yeah um I got serious anxiety watching Craig attempt to make this [ __ ] film and uh I'm not going to give anything away but you guys should watch this movie and anyone out there listening it's it's it's good it's hilarious in that kind of Ricky jaes kind of way you yeah right you're just watching a man burn except that man is Craig andon yeah except that man that man is our good friend Craig andon star of the tail job available on Amazon it's told my physical yeah I told my physical therapist to watch it he said try yeah so next time I ask him yeah I know people that have seen pirate copies of it really there's this thing you can get

over here no one I don't even know if there is a name for it and certainly not in English people just call it the Chinese box and it's this little thing that looks I've heard of it you know it I've heard not the Chinese box you're thinking of luk oh this is it's like a little um it's like a little Apple TV type thing that you you plug in but it's just basically comes preloaded with like like a gazillion pirated films and TV shows and you're on there and I'm [ __ ] on it the tail job is on it wow that's [ __ ] awesome I know I remember the first time I got a a Google you alert thing saying um cuz I I have Google alerts set up for various odds and ends so I could track R views of unhack when it when when it came out because I did the soundtrack
