Save File Episode 101

it's time to save your progress and tune in multiple nerdgasm presents save file with your hosts Luke and Aon this week is going to be a very hard episode to record mainly because I'm not talking to you no no because you decided to invite my wife out and go out and have a nice time with the girls and I wasn't invited that's correct so I'm very upset so I'm not talking to you at the okay we'll just have to end it now then nothing to say for yourself no why wasn't I invited it was a table of four because of Co restrictions i' already booked it in cuz it was supposed to be someone else but I'm sure if you had a call go look and we just squeeze one more person table I did to get Hannah there but

where what about the one more table for seat for me no no why not cuz it was Hannah but I'm the life of the party oh it was pretty good no it would have been better I know it's was pretty good delightful it was wonderful but yes you have to be invited the next TimeWise I Su yeah you do no no and even if I don't go I think it's just nice to be invited oh well well you weren't it's like when one of Hannah's friends was talking about the age limit of a guy that they' go out with and they picked a year just that's that level stopped just the year before me and I find that so rude yeah how dare they nothing's going to happen on one but still just actually make a point of the identifying at my age and not changing it yeah how dare they make a life choice

that you know doesn't affect you at all but it's insulting it is should always come to me for input and then accept my advice I mean you try and give me a lot of advice and tell me how things are going to go and they don't happen that way so what you think this is I predict a lot of things that come right no you you offer advice of things that you think are going to happen mhm like you going on my flight that's going to happen no yeah I'll discuss with me and am going to work out the details of that yeah once again no yeah it's not going to happen round the road trip I need now need to fly first class yeah once again you can do that when you pay for it with yourself I can't afford that well then that's an issue for you to that's future L can't even afford business class again

that's a future LS problem not mine but it will be yours cuz I'll winge it doesn't matter that's right you're leaving the country but also I'll be in business me and Amy will be in business we won't have to listen to you well what if I buy an economy ticket yeah and then but you just we just swap an iow business yeah no it's going to be by the names but that I'm sure that we can top I'm in business so I'll buy Amy's ticket yeah no I even supp to get economy plus again I I hope you enjoy I hope you enjoy Premium Plus the funny thing the funny thing is you looked at me like that's not what I want to hear the the funny thing is is with flying in the seats and stuff I don't actually

care about the leg room or stuff like that just I don't want to sit next to people yeah you Amy is short she doesn't need the leg room and people are the worst they are the worst people think they're entitled to everything yeah I wouldn't know anyone like that but no when I get on a plane I sit there order some jonic and then go to sleep and then leave everyone alone uhhuh I don't demand anything have a jonic I don't demand that I ask very nicely of course you do because they're server stars and we should be nice to them yeah and then but then you watch other people who just start winging and complaining and I I always find it just so insulting when they ask like tea and coffee on the flight from like cber to Sydney which is you're in the air for

like 20 minutes yeah they they've got time to give out food and then take the rubbish yeah that's it that's it have time for anything else like uh have it have have your little um cheese and B and you're up and down yeah that is it but yeah yeah you w invited yeah well next time I should be well you are next time you are I might I might attend I might not yeah you'll Beed yeah but you you wen't invited I chose not to you got a swap plac sorry I moved out of the chair yeah moved out of the chair and then moved away from the microphone well whatever who even I said that as I still moved well people do want to hear your voice it's very hard to listen to one side of a conversation oh I guess yeah so I've have got some new Lego sets yeah oh an extra one that I didn't know you were

buying so maybe got the Flintstone one as well well I was buying a lunch box yeah and I wanted to get up to free shipping so I decided to throw in a Lego set for myself Splurge a little how much was shipping versus The Flintstones I'm actually get free shipping it was already free shipping sorry trust me I it just cost me money but I'm really liking building like I'm in a Lego kick yeah you are actually and Lego's expensive so I've come up with a new plan of how to build it yeah you mentioned this but not what the plan is so what I do now M so I can spread it out a bit longer and enjoy and this is a lot easier with like the bigger sets like I've got the Ecto one from the new Star Wars movie that's coming out so not the no not not the lady Goosebumps Ghostbusters but the the

one where it's like um back into the normal the original I should say yeah the original um verse yeah it's an actual sequel not a reboot whatever that was with the kid from stranger things yeah so I've got that so to spread it out I'm going to build one bag of Lego a day oh okay so that way I sort of still get to build Legos still get to enjoy it but yeah just one bag which should spread out a bit more but what I've then decided to do is I'm always going to have two sets on the go at a time oh Alternate which one I'm working on and I think that'll just make me enjoy it a bit more so how many bags are usually in one box it really diff depends like how big the set is like I think with the Flintstone one there's maybe eight with the Ecto one I think there was 15 or 17

with the Batman one I did a while ago that was 20 plus like they're all so I'm just you have one and just alternate I can enjoy a bit more have you put the other ones out oh they're up in my shelf in garage now how delightful cuz the thing is it's sucks being old cuz I can't play with Lego now if that makes sense at all yeah it's not like you go vroom V yeah and then I'm not going making Lego sets and having little adventures and Prett my own stories it's I build the Lego and I go that was fun and then it sits there mhm and so I've decided yeah to spread it out a little bit more that's how I'm going to build my Lego that's actually really smart cuz you said you get that little bit of a leg Lego kick a day but it it draws it out instead of binge

legoing I guess it's like B watching but for Lego because like they Lego is not cheap oh no well not the ones that you get not the ones that I get I get the big sets now but I also I want to get the sets early cuz unfortunately with Lego with this the big sets they normally don't go on sale because they sell out they sell out like I know with the Ecto one that one I can already go on the third party reseller sites it's already $50 to $100 more than what I paid for it getting it directly from Lego yeah so I'm just going to keep an eye out for that now but when when I came up with this idea I also decided to transfer that over to my gaming oh okay so there are times when I can't work out what to play like it's an actual struggle yeah yeah um and it just comes

down to having too much Choice like I've got 1300 games to choose from sometimes I'll find a game I really want to play like cyber Punk and I'll stick with that but other times where I don't know what you don't know whether you go backwards and replay a game whether to play something new that you've like looked at but not really is a button now that's been part of Xbox trial it's actually out now for everyone that says surprise me oh so I can go into the game ST that I have installed and hit surprise me and I go play this game so what I'm doing with that is is even if it's a game I don't really feel like playing because it says Sur me I'm going to play and get at least one achievement in it oh yeah and then go back so that way I'm still boting it up and cuz you know when

you're watching Netflix sometimes and you spend an hour deciding what to watch and then you realize I'm just kind to bed cuz yeah cuz you spent so much time trying to find something to watch and then you wasted your time I'm having that problem with games well I've spent like hours and so the surprise me button yeah cuz I mean it'd be a lot like trying to find something cuz you'd be reading the blur on it okay what does this game involve what the general mechanics does it tell me is it what I feel like is it not what I feel like so that you can also do it with games that I haven't got installed and so I'm thinking about maybe I'll do it with one of haven't got installed that one pops up and I'll start while that's installing I'll then do it in the games

I have installed and do that that way I can be playing something instead of just sitting there looking at games cuz again you you have a couple I just just a handful a couple and I don't know I really want the achievements of course I don't know why you no playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare the new one which coming off playing World War II yeah was a big mistake oh the World War II one was actually quite fun and interesting the new Modern Warfare one it's just not good like is it the graphics the mechanics like what part of it just the game playay itself I'm just not so it was not cuz I know that you really liked how the World War II one looked yeah so I was like did they change it up I think with the World War II one there was more story okay to

it and also showed how bad like even racism during the war so there was an African Aman soldier who comes up and basically in the story they're going so they're letting them fight now so like and and he responded like yeah they is die as well and it's just sort of like amazing cuz that would have been something that happened during the war which makes no sense no yeah surely when it's War they it was this the South Park thing when is it South Park the movie whether they attach America versus Canada and they attach all the black and africanamerican um like people in the Army to the planes and the tanks and that's their job is just they go in first thing is they're not actually going in first they're attached to the

vehicles yeah oh South Park oh South Park but yeah so that that sounds really cool I didn't know that the Xbox actually had that function and again hopefully they'll um say oh play this there's so many achievements well unfortun I do do a lot of research with achievements it's it's something I don't go in blind with achievements sometimes I do want to just play a game and not worry about achievements I'm assuming that was like like um steampunk and all that CU it's like you because you played them earlier the achievements no no they my sort of like there are achievements in that which I'll get through natural gameplay there are others I need to go back and actually need to focus on but with a game like that which I'm just going to enjoy I'm still working for

achievements which I'm having a hard time not doing I know um so what I've got a relief um supervisor on one of my shifts and he it his weekend so I said oh what are you doing he's like I'm going to be playing steampunk finally cyber Punk sorry cyber Punk I've never called it that steampunk today was the one I decided to um cyber Punk um but he'd also discussed that he was actually playing it on the PlayStation like the older version don't don't do it he's like yeah I'm still one of those people who are playing it hence the reason it's taken him so so long to try and complete it because of all of the bugs I just I don't understand why someone would continue to try and play really wants to play it yeah but just go ahead and get a

better console or PC or or just wait no he he really I'm like oh okay all the bugs yeah I'm one of those like oh wow I actually I actually did store so I actually didn't store still hadn't insto but I went and played more got one of more of the endings yeah cuz there's like four endings which so annoys me but I don't know it seemed more buggy than when I orally first played it oh just with where I was in the story just seemed a bit weird maybe because you you've taken that step back away from it that going after playing also like um yeah world World War II like I've been playing a bit g a bit out for longer a bit more polished so maybe I and that's yeah you kind of go from a um the shine of it of playing it the first time around and you haven't played anything

else it's dimmed so you're like oh I can see what games can be yeah yeah I'm thinking maybe yeah it just seemed a little bit more but I got another ending and then I'll go back in a little while but I did like the fact that um the uh is it the director of it has actually come out with an a YouTube apology video yep I'm like that is such a like that was the thing to do is you make a mistake you put a YouTube and he did he apologized evidently there's some interviews going around with some of developers like past and present and they're saying like we spent a lot a lot of time working on a demo to make it look good then we actually we would have preferred to have taken it time to actually work on the actual game and yeah it's just a shame especially now

that cuz they did have they've got DLC coming out and they're a big one for like not it's free DLC which I need because sort of I finished it and I finished every single Mission yeah but that's going to be slowed down now when I fix it the the actual cuz this is the funny thing about it's still not an Xbox series X or a PlayStation 5 game no it's still still meant to be an old console generation and there I think it's not it's not even it what they should have done is marketed as a comp a PC it shouldn't be marketed as like look you can play it on there but be aware it is what they should have done and I've said this a few times many years ago just come out and say this is not an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 game and just go this is a new generation but even

even with like cuz there was still some bugs on everything which you expect new game but if they' actually just marked it as look you can get it on Xbox and Playstation but it's a designed as a PC game that would have taken out any of the issues that you've had no you couldn't go you couldn't take out console completely no no I'm not saying all they had to do was just say new jet next gen yeah but what I mean is like yeah you can play it on them like that's absolutely fine but it is play it is designed for so that's the thing is like you go oh no you can totally play it but then you just be aware it wasn't designed for your so that it even takes off um the any of the issues that you did have cuz there still big issues with the if they had have said something like

that there would have been worse I mean it would have been worse for them I don't know Terri you couldn't really come out and say oh we've made the game but if I was you I wouldn't play B and console I get po they can't say that that's gone a bit too far but it works for it runs fine on the Xbox series X now it does no no day W I never had there was oh not huge yeah but there was still issues I found weird bugs like I jump in a car and it just starts spitting around on the spot or trucks disappearing while someone's still midair FL like nothing gamebreaking whereas the if I had got on Xbox One EV that was justable the PlayStation 4 I don't know whatever some of their things that they told people to do like you start having issues when you start a fight turn away

from the fight and then turn back cuz all the people NPC set you're not fighting against theys disappear and youbody got the enemies and then it'll run better like that's one of the worker outs is to look away from the battle that was that's very much a um sonic boom or whatever it was called one that's what they used to do like you go into a place you're like oh you shouldn't be here yet so leave and come back and then you go back and then it's just everything finally appears like this is just weird so people are idiots I mean yeah we know this they um so they've announced Bethesda who was now owned by Xbox Microsoft which I still think it's a huge get for them yeah but they had um website I go to CH they've had a poll

for like what's your next Bethesda game that you're most looking forward too yeah people looking forward to Els 6 more than any other game from them and I'm that that's so that's years away well what's the other ones that are currently at like the closer ones sorry that they're looking forward to the one I'm really looking for the Starfield yeah so that's their science fiction one that's not going to be so Fallout the new Fallout games was always like Skyrim or Elder Scrolls with guns this is going to be Elder Scrolls in space so you fly around shoot things and I'm that's the one I'm really looking forward to then in the Anna Jones which has just been announced yeah I saw that and then Elder SCS I'm not I don't try not to get my hopes up for stuff there yeah be burned too many

times well yeah so well there are games that people hate that I love and games that people love that I hate yeah like the biggest one is like Zelda breath of the wild you hate it I do not get why people like that game at all and there not even like you you're playing with other people in it no it's just a terrible game for you I'm actually enjoying there's a ripoff not a ripoff but Immortal Phoenix Rising okay which is it takes a lot of inspiration from the Zelda game like it's you can climb walls you got you can float everywhere it's just that even the part way where you like Zoom to see where you go next and you sort of pick way points and just it's very Zelda but I'm enjoying that more oh okay is it because of the way it looks the biggest problem I had with

Zelda was the weapons all right that's what destroyed that game for me when going into a battle you had to have a selection of weapons with you because they would break yeah and that's what annoyed me it was you'll be in the middle about oh hold on that branch is broken I swap to this sword hold on my sword's broken I got swap to this in and that's just not fun I like just be this is the weapon I'm going to use for the next few hours I say I pick up an Axe and this is it this it I have an ax now and I know yeah and and they've got that fixed out but even in cyber Punk they had that a little bit as well that you're always upgrading your stuff which I didn't quite like that with the Cosmetic side so you can look very cool in that game

except for some of the bugs where like your pants will disappear or your penis would just be out that was an awesome bug where you'll be talking to people you look down and their penises [Laughter] there yeah that's a that's an interesting bug but so you wonder if that one was putting up it like we' already got too many bugs let's put this in but you're always getting new clothes and stuff like every single fight so you end up just not reallying about what you look like just upgrading to better arm say it's not it's not about the look of it because it's actually about the armor protection on it so it doesn't matter what you've designed is kind of gone cuz you're wearing CU I'm not I'm not going to keep wearing this shirt because it

looks cool when I've got this shirt that's going to protect me 10 times more I mean I will say that in um Professor Leighton uh Mysteries um I pick up uh like tokens so and then I can purchase new outfits I can wear but then the really like the cool thing is is when I'm just in the general um the general part of the game she's wearing the clothes that I chose and I can also change the kids so far I can change the clothes of also the dog that's in there but when it's all the like the pre developed like when she's talk actually got a voice actress talking and doing that they throw back into the original clothes that's so fun I know like a it's weird it's also when you can make

adjustments and it change that's like the rest of it like when it's the general gameplay she's wearing the clothes I chose but it's when that's all of the pre-filmed and like it's all cartoon but pre-filmed um slides yeah all all the programm there set videos yeah I know what you mean words words are hard yeah it's like cute cuz I'm like oh go to the closet and now I'm also picking up things like tokens for other things I'm like I don't understand what these tokens do hold on to they might mean something later on I am I've got you got you got no way to get rid of them no they're just there I'm like oh cool I picked up Museum tokens I think they are I'm like okay am I going to a museum at some stage all right I'm still enjoying it enjoy that's the main thing

as long as you're having fun I am there was a couple of the games that I'm like I need to walk through this cuz I do not understand what they're asking me to do yeah so I will say that's that's a little bit annoying with some of the like the wording of how you play it like how you you know solve what they want you to do is what I mean just didn't make sense I'm like all right walk through help me out I've tried so the beginning of the year is actually quite quiet for games and it just got a little bit quieter especially for AAA games yeah or I don't know if this would be classified a AAA game but there's a new game coming out called Ryder Republic mhm it's I don't know you there snowboarding games and this one's a bit of combination of like skiing

biking jetpacking all these different extreme sports going down in Big Mountain they've postponed that now to later in the year and it just seems very late to postpone so when were they supposed to have com out meant to be coming out February 25th all right so it's like five six weeks away now but now it's not looking to the end of the year and I just oh like that far away yeah and I just I don't know it seems very I'm happy that they well I wonder maybe they've because they've seen of what happened with cyber but also I don't know how they always better to postpone if it's not ready no issue with that but I just don't to me it's leaving it so late upet people more yeah they should have made it maybe a couple of months ago yeah especially

when they were still like oh no it's fine I've got cyber Punk and all these things coming out so they wouldn't be wanting something else because as you said it is quite quiet with games new game that came out this week which is awesome that I need to get and play Scot Pilgrim versus the world wow really so it's a remake of a yeah old game oh yeah um so it's like a little slid scroll beat him up and I think it sort of disappeared because of rights to music or something yeah I think there like and then because of the movie then came out in well this is part of it's a this the comic the game takes inspiration from the game and the the comics and the movies cuz they're very different things like I've never read the comics but I know from the movies whereas there are

other people who' have seen both and prefer to comics and I think that's with of things though you prefer books to the Star Wars I used to like books back in the day I could read misreading no it's a hot life but I don't it's one of these games it's good if you play with people but then I have to play with people yeah so is it going to be um still similar style oh it's it's just it's an updated copy of the old game oh cool it's just being re-released it's complete Editions got it a DLC M and I I nearly brought it then but I didn't on my but I'm going to have to buy it because I will need it I won't finish it I won't get the achievements in it cuz the achievements are actually really hard in this one

yeah that's why I probably wait for sale because yeah the achievements are so hard here are some of the achievements all right I'm ready for it so I have watched the movie so I haven't read the comic so I will it'll be interesting to see if any of the um achievements match to the movie so defeat Matthew Patel without losing a life uh defeat The Twins simultaneously oh yeah um play through a world and reach the boss without getting hit oh gosh um eat every food item there that's doable clear the game in single player on super supreme Master difficulty setting that I'm never going to do yeah like it's a it's not a short game and also I'm not that good at these types of games clear the game in 990 minutes or less

with knives how do you I wouldn't know even how to do that now I want to try that well I mean knives is a character so just finishing up with her not like you don't have to use knives that'd be a different way to play it where do I plug the knife in to my first online match these are games that I really wish I would play with people cuz it would be fun to chat and just beat people up maybe this could be your like FR into um cuz at least it's not if it would seem like what it would be from the game that I've seen and then the movie I've actually seen the whole of um it it won't be as I mean people get passionate we know that people are awful but it would be almost like okay it's that easiness to it because of the the just the general

style of what it looks like like because of the artwork of it it's not one of those ones where you can see everything and so like what are you doing like it's is cute I do like the graphics but yeah I don't know I'm probably going to get it I'm actually o I can make an announcement now I'm probably going to start streaming again wow so what the plan is m is on Wednesdays I'm still going to work out some details on Wednesdays I'm going to start streaming cool all day well I can do like what my brother does where he just commented on it like he that's his part in the octane racing remember any want to feel free to watch my brother on Twitch um but he so it's like someone else is playing or someone else is like filming it and he's oh yeah that's what

I mean like I'll be the I'll be the brother where I'm just like talking to you as you do stuff and go that will work yeah make it a bit more interesting yeah or you could even play I well I mean that won't be interesting for people simply because I would be dying all the time yeah you could come over while I'm streaming and sit next to me and talk I can do that but yeah so that's what I'm thinking about doing I'm going to work out some details but it'll probably be happening by February well yeah we'll see what my um my times are like cuz you know might be getting another job so whether I'll have my evening for or not but I think this will work well because it'll be interesting to see you know I've always wanted to stream one of the big things is I think

anyway um is you need to have a schedule and stick with it and it's not like something I'll jump on for an hour here or jump on for an hour there you need to be able to go look I'm going to be doing this for this time so it's not going to be me playing a particular game no it's going to be me playing games and getting achievements and so I need to yeah plan a little bit more for that that's why I start cleaning my room as you can see yeah look I am impressed mhm there was still stuff on my chair but there was only one chair not the two yes for me to apparently choose from so yeah we're getting rid got rid of that chair this the chair you're leaning on at the moment we'll probably keep that chair in here when my new chair arrives this chair is gone yay cuz that one doesn't

have wheels does have wheels makes things a little bit harder and if I'm going to be gaming for that long yeah need to be able to adjust and easily move around yeah oh that's very exciting so I can't wait to watch you um play games I guess yeah check out twitch we we are multiple nerdgasm on Twitch stop it who would have thought got in and got that name very quickly yeah stream I still remember one time I streamed on it um I was playing a game like some horse game yes I remember hor Champion I forget what I was nearly falling asleep playing this game I was I had about 12 people watching me nearly falling asleep while playing a game so I'm not going to play that game what H those 12 people are

going to be upset they've been waiting for you to return waiting for me for years to return years keep looking keep it's going to happen so yeah I'm going to start every Wednesday for at least 5 hours hours 5 hours Jus mhm yeah I might not be here for all that no I actually need to be careful last time I did shm I got very drunk though okay so that is that my role of it is just to like um supplement I'll get you drink and then I bring you like a cordial responsible service of alcohol hey I've had that I mean it's definitely lapsed but I've had that no one really knows are you drunk I don't know have a beer yeah no like if you're the hardest is when someone comes to the bar you don't know whether they're drunk

Dr yeah you're meant to be keeping track of people when they're in there when they first arrive that's that's that's the issue cuz like someone could look fine you give them one beer and that's that was the Tipping Point you're like oh no bloody pre pre pre-ink what is it pre drinkers pregaming pregaming oh God this is how long it's been we we're old we're old you don't pregame anymore because you're going to get drunk enough and you don't want that hangover that includes the pregame because when you're young you can go out like three nights in a row get drunk every night go to work it's all great when you get old you get drunk and you have that one hangover last for days that it's good like I'm going I've got a um thing on

Saturday night and no fight it's a quantis thing remember we just discussed about this no I I can't if I invite Hannah I have to invite you that was the no no just it was anything you no that wasn't no that wasn't what it was that's what it was meant to be but it wasn't so I don't have to um so yeah it's very much that okay got to like I've got Sunday off so it's okay but then what about Monday good thing you're working like late afternoon so that should be okay hopefully but yeah no so it's yeah joys of getting old fun times I don't know when it happened that I couldn't because I stop drinking yeah you you when I used to drink constantly I'd never have this problem yeah cuz you're a functioning Al never have this problem being taking days to get a hangover cuz I was still

drunk but now I have one drink and I'm hung over oh well I mean have saved a lot of money though yeah well that's the thing I think you kind of look back well I look back and go God all that money I spend and now because I'm also like when I do go out drinking it's like okay I've got to factor things in like factor in the Ubers there and back like making sure like costing and so oh no I can't have that last drink that's my Uber money cuz sometimes you look at it like that's $40 to get me home but I'm tired I used to have that when I lived in oh I lived in pen and go out to the city sometimes it's just do I want to get on a train or the worst part is is when you missed that last train which didn't even it wasn't like we're talking like the last train was 3:00 and it's 2

hours to the next one it finished the last train was 12 midnight yeah yeah well 12 you then had to wait either 6 hours to get another train or get a taxi and they wonder why there was fights well it was like even here like when I where I used to live I'd catch the bus on the weekends into town and then I catch it home public transfer was great for where I lived but the buses stopped to get back for me at 10: yeah I'm like well what on the weekend I'm just coming out now yeah I'm like excuse me all right so catch the bus in and then you know Uber at home I guess again factoring the money I've never understood what because they used to have like taxi Marshals and things and a lot of security because fight's always used to happen so like what do you expect when you got people

drunk leaving and then I wonder if it was stand in line for 3 hours maybe it was big taxi it's always I've always found it strange like the train stopped conspiracy theory half the times big taxi if you play taxi you go I'm going here they go not too far to yeah or not far enough yeah yeah they so what we used to do is yeah we sort of call taxi and say like if we're at um anandale and hotel it's where B play ma across the road you call tax go I'm at the Mac is here going to the city then you get in the tax and go we've changed our mind we're going the pen because I'm already in cuz evidently it's meant to be like first available taxi will be sent away you can have two people call the same time one going City one going the opposite Direction the one

going the opposite direction will get no one rock up the one going in the city they'll have straight away straight away yeah so yeah again I'm telling you this is why taxis failed and it is actually a really big like issue as well about that like at at Sydney airport you'd get it where we'd have to tell people like do not catch a taxi from domestic to International cuz they won't accept you that's illegal they have to accept you but they're like no no it's not far enough mhm and that was the issue like because the reason before and I can sort of understand that because they lose their spot they take you and then they go back to the start of the queue or end of the queue and wait again well they'd be waiting at um International yeah but
