drink quite a bit in order to perform on stage yeah absolutely abolutely I'm not I was not allowed to drink uh when I was in my band uh after the first time that I did when you forgot how to play yeah apparently apparently apparently I can't play guitar at all when I'm drunk and it's without pissing in your pocket you're quite good at guitar so I would say if you were to get drunk and you would drop your level down you you'd probably still be at least at the at the level of someone who can kind of play guitar I think maybe the problem was more that I get a bit talkative when I drink and I'm also I also was not allowed to have a microphone at all after that first show why I drank I've know a few people in bands that were not allowed to have microphones yeah yeah I

know people that can't go on stage unless they're drunk see I don't have that problem doesn't phase me at all it's because I think I know that I can play the songs like there's no question so I don't really there's no no real worry if I'm like if I have to get up and speak or something like that then it's no no no it's different right if I go up and speak it's it's different cuz I'm not as sure about that but if I'm going to get up and play you know if the my songs that I wrote with the band I get up there I know how to play them like long as I'm not too drunk I'll play them well now I do have a question with the they did not think you were playing your greatest at night did you think you were playing well no no no no like I said I think it was you weren't so drunk

you knew that you were doing well no it was it was also I was like yeah no no no I don't I I was annoyed at myself cuz I was like why can't my fingers do that anymore Oh I thought it might have been like you thought you were playing brilliantly and just completely going for it no no no no I mean I can't perform sexually unless I'm intoxicated but that's that's my problem you know yeah yeah but well maybe you can't anyway but you think you can it's more that I don't care who or what I'm [ __ ] right right yeah or or how they feel about it oh I don't know about that Matthew I'm not going to I'm just going to participate in your [ __ ] rape humor whoa that's not what I meant I

just meant whether that you know whether they were enjoying themselves that's why again again that's still not what I meant that's that's still not what I meant oh never mind not what I meant you're we've got a lot of game news this week cuz E3 has started except it's only been one day so far um although an interesting day yeah there's quite a lot for it just being one day I was like oh they announced quite a lot of stuff um so I mean we don't have to jump straight into that because uh you know it's mostly announcements and trailers and things so we'll kind of just skim over them um do we want to start with some news like non-game related news yes let's jump into that and then we can all right all right what's topical this week

oh we got a listener has send in uh yeah and I like this one too so let's uh let's take a lead from Leo Cooper yeah we going to say the full name we just did oh can I tell you a funny name story real quick of course you know how sometimes when you're watching the news right and the News presenter will get to a name that's maybe a little bit foreign little bit exotic sounding uhhuh and they might they might struggle with the pronunciation of it I think perhaps we've been guilty of it on this very podcast from time to time right yeah you you often mention that I'm I mean I had a go I mean I saying someone's name yeah yeah I was listening to the news on the radio the other day here in Singapore when they came across a name that they

found hard to pronounce and they said something along the lines of uh and the gentleman's name was um Peter Johnson and stumbled across stumbled around a western name and I just could laugh that's awesome yeah I've uh I've had trouble with it before you know I I I'll have an attempt um and it reminds me of that I think we talked about on the show when there was that accident with a plane uh crashed and they put in that somebody somebody thought it would be funny to put in some silly you know fake Asian sounding names and the News presenter read them out didn't realize it was fake and it was like uh just to in the pilot some Ting Wong um said that he turned to

his co-pilot we too low and uh yeah awful this was on the news and then and then after as soon as he said it he his face went like he could tell he realized I've been jipped yeah which is also a racial slur is it yeah to uh refers to gypsies yeah right if you're gypped it means you've been tricked by a gypsy un trustworthy did uh Drag Me to Hell on necronom right and it's about Gypsies and they called gypsies in it and I I said I think during the show are you allowed to call them Gypsies and we just went with it because they do in the movie but you're not supposed to right no no no [ __ ] they are they're gypsies you just can't say like filthy gypsies right Dirty G what what if they haven't

bathed what if what if there's a guy called Phil th and he's a gypsy yeah yeah Phil the Gypsy Phil the Gypsy yeah Phil the Gypsy I think I've seen that film anyway I hired somebody to work at in my office the other day called Dena person and I think that's like Donald Duck Mouse you know what I mean yeah Harry human yeah Harry human yeah president of the United States Matthew the man actually I went to school with a guy called Matthew man H now there you go it's the circle of life I guess is he dead now I don't know I'm gonna feel awful of he is now and that's ma Matthew man is our geek of the week geek of the week Dead all right let's get back on track

the news sent in by Leo Cooper and we're going to say his name is that an Irish name Leo Cooper Le O Cooper Le O Cooper sends this in he says fiddle DD potatoes some streamers on Twitch encountered a a young man who while watching them play games uh they accept donations on Twitch apparently this is quite common especially for the young ladies you know they'll play some games and people will give them money you know more it's how like Pewdiepie makes his money more P you know if you can I think if you can if you can make that work as a job that's cool um I would to do it as a job yeah I would love I would love for you to do it as a job so I could uh that's one step up from beggar you know well sort of it's a little bit like

uh depending on who it is if it's call it bing if it's a young lady uh I've seen some of them who you know they dress appropriately for attracting young men uh to their stream uh and they they make some money off it more power to them says I if I was a if I was a hot chick I wouldn't work a day in my [ __ ] life all right we're going to get apparently you just need to be and and and [ __ ] idiot guys will just give you cash uh on the internet yeah apparently yeah I think most streamers are guys yeah maybe but are they making that level of cash are they yes right are they cuz gay idiots like you just give

them money I give no one money no they pay you well they will once I get my channel off a young man named I Nexus Ninja came along to a bunch of twitch channels and as a joke which I is pretty funny he came along and he donated a bunch of money uh in small increments I think to get to get attention no it wasn't small we're talking like $3,000 a pop no no no it was in small increments at a time if you watch the videos he would keep donating over and over again small amounts until it got to um to you know to be a lot of money and uh and you know as a joke because then he his plan was that he would then later cancel the transactions in in PayPal so the money wouldn't actually be taken or it would be refunded [ __ ] with so you watch the videos you can see

uh you know particular the very first one there this young lady who is playing Hearthstone uh and then he starts uh donating I think it's like $1,000 at a time or something and then and she just starts freaking out like why what are you doing uh because she thinks the think she's made a bunch of money for doing nothing effectively uh I mean he's he's made a PayPal transaction well and that's the thing they all checked and their money's like it's all completed transaction so they think money's in their account and normally you can uh cancel a transaction you do have a there is a period where you can um you can cancel it and I guess he was maybe hoping that they would go out and spend the money in advance something cuz it it apparently takes some time to clear like I've you know

I've sold stuff on eBay you sell it but you don't get the money for 2 weeks it show it's it's in there as pending so I assume it's something like that but uh when he went to cancel them PayPal said [ __ ] you no [ __ ] it stop being a dick so now he's uh he's got to pay $50,000 total I think uh to a bunch of twitch streamers uh and I think the saddest part of this story is that he was using his mom's credit card oh [ __ ] teach him because I dare you if I use my mom's credit card to like pull some [ __ ] prank on the internet that cost me how much $50,000 oh man that wouldn't be worth living anymore I'd take my own life well you already here first folks

High Nexus ninja is our second geek of the week how could he think this was a good idea well I assume he's probably done it before maybe it's the it's one of those things that they probably do like uh you know swatting have you seen swatting that's another thing they do to TCH streamers f [ __ ] terrifying Dan so if you're a twitch streamer you're there playing a game yeah on the internet they'll call in a hostage situation at your house and then while you're there it look it up look it up and the police will arrive at my house they the a SWAT team will [ __ ] burst into the room how do they know my address how do they know my home address it's the internet they'll find it there's been people wanted to they could find it there's been a bunch of of very

like high-profile instances of this where someone very kind of well known on YouTube or on Twitch or whatever has had someone do this to them and then you you can watch the videos the [ __ ] SWAT team comes in they throw them on the ground it's all and it's still streaming live like and get on the [ __ ] ground and then the the people are like don't [ __ ] shoot me like cuz Okay I I'll be honest there's a certain kind of humor in that yeah that's taking it to 11 and I kind of get on board that I mean I assume you go to jail once you're Court phoning false well it's also very hard to for them to catch the person who does it yeah why is it if if they've found your home address why can't the [ __ ] FBI find their home address yeah that's good question well but you're not because

they're not a public figure you know they're doing it anonymously where you're all out there in the public eye yeah so it's I guess it's similar to that so maybe this thing is uh is something that people have been doing and PayPal's coton onto it and then this guy's been the big the big case that you know he's going to lose out 50 Grand but uh yeah yeah losing out 50 Grand he spent 50 Grand yeah but he didn't mean to he did no he did mean to yeah I see what you mean whose [ __ ] side are you on I'm not on anybody's side really I guess I'm on I think I think it's on the one hand yeah I can see why he thought it was funny and the the videos are entertaining cuz it's it's getting a reaction that would not normally have

been possible right he's he's he's created a situation and some entertainment that wouldn't otherwise exist because these people would not have been given $50,000 or whatever otherwise so I mean ideally they would get to keep the money and he wouldn't have to pay it cuz now he's he's probably grounded forever he's 18 so I bet he's going to be kic probably kicked out at home that's I I actually do also I kind of feel sorry for his mom that she has such a terrible son yeah also I just want to clarify I'm not I'm not an idiot and I know that there isn't a scenario where he can not have to pay it and they can also have the money that just came out weird before like in an Ideal World we could all just have I think what you said was that they get

the money and his mom doesn't have to pay and that is what will happen because she will make him pay her back hopefully you can guarantee that yeah what an idiot what did he think was going to happen well I don't know I said maybe people have done this before he thought he could he could cancel it a month a month later is what it says wait wait a minute I can purchase something using PayPal and within the next month I.E after I've already delivered whatever Goods I was expecting I can cancel the money well see I didn't know that that until I saw I don't think that's correct I know that they've got the PayPal's got that pay after delivery well see I wonder because with PayPal they do some odd stuff PayPal I

don't know all the details but with Charities and things like that and like I said with eBay right because eBay and PayPal it's the same company if I I've sold a bunch of stuff on eBay because we're moving right and so I've got if I log into PayPal right now I've got uh there's money in there that I that I have access to and then there's a more money that it's says yeah you've got this money but you can't have it yet you've got to wait uh 14 days until you you actually have the money and I think during that that that's because if I don't send them the item or if I send it and it's not what I said it was or anything happens it's so that the the buyer can disput it so I assume it's something like that that this guy was going to try and take advantage

of was bitting you in the ass guy it sure has I'm glad it did you're a [ __ ] yeah well so don't don't try that listeners don't try that no don't try that and definitely don't come to me for sympathy I got to say that's not the only thing that uh the only request was a that we read this article and discuss it but also Leo Cooper wants to know while the other brothers are crimes how would you get away with it Luke I'll just you don't use your mom's card right and you you use like someone else's account entirely whose card so you commit a bit of credit card fraud on the top of this exactly right well that's I mean that's a different crime altogether really well no no cuz

he still go for the same reaction cuz you use someone else's card you do all these payments that why that time they've then reported their card stolen yeah so with that they've got their whole insurance thing and they will charge back that money that money was stolen especially if he really thought he could get away with canceling the transaction before it went through then the person whose card he has stolen wouldn't actually be charged right but if it does get charged they can do a charge back themselves because their card was stolen so they didn't do anything wrong yeah cuz banks are insured for small amounts and they'll get their money back you are escalating the trouble you'll get if you get caught somewhat oh hell yeah I don't think

anyone should do this it's crazy right but that's how you would get away with that that's what you would try to do that's what you do you're saying use my mom's credit card that's for sure you've met my mother she would kill me I might use your mom's credit card but as we've said once removed it's okay it's okay yeah she'd help us out with this I'm sure if we told her it was for the show yeah of course just we just want to charge $50,000 onto the card don't worry we be we'll be able to cancel it that'll be fine maybe maybe all right so that's uh next week uh stay tuned and we'll have the results of of spending $5,000 of Luke's mom's money on Twitch streamers I do like this Antiques Road TR everyone's seen that haven't they

wrong yeah because a uh a woman watching the show so there's your answer Luke a woman watching the show recognized it as being a class project made by her classmate back in 1973 yeah yep she made The Jug in class in high school yeah and uh and I like this too apparently it's got like six faces on it like it's a red we jug whatever that means with six faces on it's quite cool and grotesque to be honest I'm me this is something I can imagine being in your house Matt all right maybe I haven't got a spare 30 grand so not going to happen I'll just use Luke's Mom's credit card yeah but yes uh apparently she says I was just a really passionate artistic kid I don't know where those faces came from well you put them on there yourself

yeah that's right that's they I guess they're the uh personification of the voices in your head then are they that's right so the still worth some money now yeah that's what that's I think the most that's the most interesting thing the value of The Jug has been revised between 3 and 5,000 that's still a lot for a jug that she made in high school yeah cuz I made a I made a hollowed out pineapple in an art class in year eight right impressive yeah uh that could be used as a jar put anything in there really multi-purpose do still have it uh I think my mom still had it up until quite lateer on I'm sure she got rid of it at some point but I mean she to 5,000 no no no ceramic pineapple oh okay H it out pineapple out pineapple

jingle got to play the jingle okay well I'm a little strange when I go to sleep go on okay brace yourself listeners y that's nothing like that is I like to be listening to things when I go to sleep okay and what I used to do when I lived alone is I'd watch television while I go to sleep and I'd have like a few certain shows that I would fall asleep to like that's I can confirm that actually when we were away in America you used to fall asleep with your laptop on mhm watch things like red dwarf red versus blue rest development things like that just the same few shows just I was really hoping you would bust out a third one

that had the word red in the title yeah but yeah I just watch them just I don't really have to pay attention cuz I've seen them all before so I don't have to watch well where I because I S in bed with Hannah now she doesn't like to have a screen on so I now have headphones so I stream from my phone to wireless headphones that I wear and then I hide the phone under a pillow right so light sorry can you just pause for a sec so I can make a sound effect M go on so you have you're watching a TV show but you're just listening to the audio just listen to audio Yeah okay and then well no no no you're watching it on your phone right well no because the phone I've just actually under under a pillow so you can't see the light from yeah but he's not going to be

watching it anyway cuz he's asleep he's falling asleep you'd watch it with your eyes closed anyway yes all right well what happens though is the headphones while I'm sleeping will fall out of my ear yeahh and so I don't hear The Rock in the morning because it's not like my normal alarm clock cuz your head that would just take over the phone and start ringing when it turns on CU it TR it now tries to play through the headphones oh okay I didn't know that see I've got bigger problems with it than that on the iPhone cuz you're on Android right yes on iOS in order for the thing to work you have to leave the app open and leave your phone on and just let it sit there on can you even do that won't it just go to sleep no you can turn that off in

fact mine doesn't automatically lock anyway I leave it um really I don't know why yeah I don't know why I've got it left on that mode I didn't know that because I've never wanted that well you're going to need it if you want the The Rock to wake you up in the morning and I'll be honest I I'd listen to headphones as I fall asleep so it wouldn't do me any good either see well the other thing is it it also uh it doesn't have a snooze button right because the rock doesn't believe in snoozing so you can't rock also gets up early yeah it gets up at like you can't set this alarm this just wakes you up when the rock gets up no no no you can you can set your own time or you can set Rock time which is I think 530 or six o'clock in the morning he gets up right

uh and you get a special motivational message from The Rock every day uh but yeah there's no snooze button right so it's like it's like just him going get up now and then there's you know you can choose a different you know music thing to play but it's just compared to the it's just so inconvenient compared to the built-in alarm clock that just works when my phone's plugged in and you [Music] know I can do this all morning beep beep beep yeah yeah so that's that's the L that's fantastic so yeah is always that or does he say different things you can choose different ones there are a few different ones at least on the iPhone there yeah same with mine that's just a that's the

default one that's the classic rock alarm that's what I mean you would if you're not going to use one with the rock why bother using it at all that's my theory and also why not just download him going be beep beep and then put it on as an alarm tone in the normal iOS clock app that isn't [ __ ] I mean I kind of see what he's going for no I don't think I do actually now that I mentioned is him I don't know it's an alarm clock that doesn't have a snooze button and you've got to leave your phone switched on or in your case you can't have headphones it's just it's it's not great I'll be honest what I am going to try I'll try and review this again next week I'm going to try and load it onto my Windows phone okay and just have that as my alarm all right and

we so you have an actual alarm clock or you use your phone anyway I use I don't I I just get it'll wake me up fair enough um do you use can I just just pause for a sec do you use your phone as an alarm Dan me yes I do yeah I'm curious actually because I do as well I have for a very long time uh listeners do you use your phone as your alarm or do you have some other device because I know there are uh special alarm clocks and stuff there's like those daylight ones where they light brighten up the room slowly to wake you up and do all these cool things uh or maybe just a normal alarm clock what do you guys use to wake yourselves up wife podcast multipl nerdgasm tocom or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter M nerdgasm on Twitter we're on

get it very often that's a shame but yeah that's how he that's how he wakes me up sometimes every day in America yeah that's right I've be woken by The Loving lick of Luke it's a litera it's a litera led by luk he going to lick lick yeah know I think this is I think this thing is strange and I actually I the I was like oh yeah okay and then the more I looked at the kickstarter and their justifications for this thing the more I was like this is dumb like okay what was it that you thought initially and what do you now think is dumb about it well I looked at it and I was like oh yeah cats lick each other that kind of makes sense but then I went to the kickstarter and they went on and on

about and then the videos went I'll just use my beard I don't need to buy something for it but when I saw it in the spreadsheet I went fine I'll review it so I've already it's Kickstarter listeners you still have a chance to get on this Kickstarter all right it's not crazy it's like 19 bucks yeah I know I just man I think it's it's weird I thought about getting two you've only got one Tong well no I might be able to give one as a gift imagine two tongues you would be the most popular guy ever I still might get that second one CU it's only an extra $15 $16 to get two bargain you can do both cats at once yeah bargain all right can we talk about video games got we got a couple things to get through so E3 is on the one great thing

about being hung over is you can just lay in bed and just watch the news as it happens cuz E3 started yeah and I missed the ea1 cuz I was still throwing up at that stage but I watched the Bethesda one this is the coverage of fans want yeah yeah so I watched uh I watched the Bethesda one as well uh I also watched all the trailers for the stuff from the um the EA one what's coming out from ea uh okay we've got Battlefield 1 uh and that was a cool trailer I got to say it was I um thanks with me Matt I wasn't particularly interested in that game until I watched the trailer and then I was like that looks that looks cool so it's I mean it's just a shooter it's basically I think it's Star Wars Battlefront but set in World War I I think MH mhm like it's the kind of game

that it is yeah it's just yeah it's another Battlefront game yeah it's I mean it's got the I assume it uses the same engine as Battlefront like it looks really good it's got must say I don't think I've ever played a World War I game really no most of them have been World War II yeah and then remember we got to that stage where we were just sick of World War II games and then they just brought it forward and they never went back yeah right yeah well it looks cool I assume it's the same kind of game play like it's multiplayer uh I don't know if there's a single player campaign I think the battle the I don't know they usually have them they do they do have a single player campaign with them okay some of them are quite good all right so maybe it's maybe it'll be worth checking out

for that um but yeah it looks it looks really good World War I there's bip planes and Zeppelins and tanks and motorbikes and um all the buildings are all destructible yeah there's some Co stuff I've heard is like you start a multiplayer match and all the buildings are up but then by the end of it they just all been destroyed that's cool it sounds like World War I and there's like no flat ground in the game like it's all been shelled and trenches and like it was right right yeah I'm more interested in that than I was yeah so that look at this for sure uh there was uh maybe the most exciting one was Mass Effect Andromeda which I know you guys both watched also looks good yeah did they give any indication when that might be coming I know it got

put back to next year but I don't know exactly when I'm I'm you know what that's fine take your time if it's not done just keep need to rush it make it good right I'd rather it be late and good than rushed I just happened the mak's back y I used to love driving around in that thing yeah it's it's it's been a while since we've seen that hasn't it yeah they they took it out cuz in the first one it got CU it was [ __ ] repetitive it just really slowed down the game every time you had to get in that thing but this one seems to be heavily uh exploration based and which is for me perfect like yeah yeah make it like The Witcher but Mass Effect in space make it like Witcher 3 in space and then yeah I mean it looks really

good well speaking of The Witcher yes we're getting the greatest game ever yeah gwent gwent a standalone gwent game yeah I'm hoping this is going to be I don't know if they've announced the platforms um I'm hoping it's going to be on mobile and that as well cuz I'd love to play some quent when when I'm out and about well I could see this being a bit like Hearthstone yeah yeah yeah and hearthstone's on pretty much everything isn't it yeah it's on Android iOS I think it's on desktop now too he yeah yeah so I'm uh I'm pretty excited about that cuz yeah I I fet I've played The Witcher I've played for God knows how many hours but half of them have just been spent playing gwent yeah it's a really good game have you even played The Witcher at all have you Dan nah no I

have not one and two and go straight to three no no I played the second one so I thought you were about the third one yeah yeah the third one gets even better yeah the third one is definitely the better game like it's the first one I've started a couple times just can't get through it just for because I keep trying to play on hard yeah the first one is difficult for for very for many reasons I hate trying to play while hard um so uh the EA stuff they also have uh a FIFA game that seems to have a single player campaign which was funny we're laughing about the the trailer made it like it looked like Grand Theft Auto but FIFA like it's about this young kid coming up in uh in in England and he's joining his playing soccer and I don't

know maybe it's actually is a single player game but it was called FIFA the journey I think I'd never seen a soccer game quite like that so with a story mode yeah it was actually kind of interesting I don't know that I would play it but uh but it it was interesting the trailer I probably will play it all right good you can you can tell us about more about that yeah let us know I definitely won't play it yeah um what about Watch Dogs oh so that's not EA that's Ubisoft obviously actually and um and obviously gwent is not either that's city project red but um yeah they've announced Watch Dogs 2 uh Ubisoft a couple of days before E3 I think yeah so that will probably be fine I yeah it's now being set in San Francisco yep uh new you're playing

someone completely different yep new character new setting um I liked Watch Dogs it just got repetitive why she worked out the formula for how to do the missions it was just yeah I don't know just boring and easy yeah a beautiful world like great world building yeah but uh it's not aot not a lot to do yeah not a lot of variation between the missions and yeah it's my complaint about the middle Assassin's Creed games I think too uh it's you know collecting feathers and stuff and this it was collecting uh what you even collecting watch dogs like phones or something or was that the division you do that the division you collect phones but you collected scan codes yeah right oh yeah and stuff I haven't put even the

division back on in a little while I got to play some more of that because some other games came out and so I got I got distracted well the DLC came out for Fallout 4 so I've downloaded all of that so going to be playing through that before I go back to have you seen the there's more DLC on its way yeah I got the season pass there's some Fallout 4 News we've got uh the the Contraptions add-on which looks cool where you can build stuff which I'll probably never use but I'm looking forward to see what people are going to make right because we've got mods now so we can just put the stuff that other people have made in our worlds so that'll be interesting and then the other one uh similar to that was Vault you can build your own Vault okay and run your own experiments on the

people yeah yeah they didn't go into detail on like how that works but I was instantly like that's cool so yeah you can and then what looks like the final piece of the big single player DLC which is look like a take off Disneyland or something yeah new world or something that's great so yeah and then so that that was that's obviously that was part of the Bethesda uh y this one I watched and fall out it started off so great and then it got so boring you didn't like the Dishonored 2 stuff the Dishonored 2 stuff went for a while at the end I was looking forward to Dishonored 2 until I had to watch a lot of it 20 minutes of it yeah that was it was the first half was all lots of stuff and the second half was another half hour of yeah it's

just all undesigned too it's not bad it looks great but it just we tried to make evolve the world make it lived in and yeah we've heard all that stuff a million times just show me what it looks like and move on yeah they show it was there was a lot of stuff to look at uh but it was all they have to finish the first one yeah well the other thing okay so they they announced Quake Champions this is a new Quake game this is in the Bethesda panel um so it's multiplayer PC game only so um I'm probably not going to be playing much of that uh Skyrim remastered looks [ __ ] gorgeous so that's going to be on the Xbox one so I'm going to have to play Skyrim again now and I was like ah no I went bother and then they showed side by side they showed the Xbox wow they showed the Xbox

360 and then like Xbox One and I was like oh you [ __ ] take my money like you should watch the trailer Dan you're going to want it to yeah you see just made the next one instead of just polishing this one cuz like you I'm of course I'm going to have to go back and play this cuz it's a wonderful game and if it looks even better yeah I'm going to go back and play it not only that it has it's going to have mods as well like Fallout oh wow does so you'll be able to put all the mods on and stuff it looks nice so there was that and then there was the new play as a cat this time around you can play as whatever you want you play the people will mod new races in in there for you you could play as a dog or a I would want to step on your

toes Matt when you're playing as a cat a squirrel you could play as a squirrel you just naming animals now that was the most dangerous game from last week the squirrel what was that noise comeing fire um the other thing that they showed I thought this was going to be prey too remember there was that game prey yes first person shooter right and they said oh there's a new prey game and I well and I thought oh it's they're making a sequel they actually announced last year the year before a sequel to it but this is not that this is something another game called prey right I think that they abandoned the prey 2 which was sound like it's really cool game where you're going to you're set the future and you're Bounty Hunter and you got to hunt

down right aliens it was going to be cool so maybe it's set in the same world sounds like an original idea for a game but this one it's this one looks amazing it was like it looks amazing but it's definitely not the pre to that was I think they're just re booting it yeah okay just taking the name cuz people know prey yeah okay well in this you're uh it's in the future again and you you're a test subject uh and then some stuff goes wrong and you like it it's like Supernatural in the future not like the TV show Supernatural but like Supernatural powers and stuff um and but with like sci-fi as well uh and also a bit of mystery cuz it was that that the trailer begins with the main character waking up over and over

again in the morning and then yeah it gets weirder and Weir watch the trailer looks pretty cool halfway through the trailer I was like what is this I want to play it what else was it they've made some updates to fallout shelter yeah it's coming to PC now as well I don't know um fallout shelter did everyone played that but it got boring pretty quickly it did I can't imagine I mean the only reason I played that was on the run I can't imagine being at a computer playing that but I the the footage they showed looked different like has anyone played it recently no I played it since well before Fallout 4 came out yeah I think I played it you know well before at the beginning of the year or something but I haven't played it since then but the the

the stuff that they showed that didn't look like the same game like you go out and you can go to the red rocket and you can go to like you can actually go on quests and stuff like that that is that new stuff or is that that's the stuff that they're bringing into the game okay well that might be cool so when you send people out on quests it's not just you send them out and then bring them back you go out and then you have to you play as them but that's Fallout what you just described are the first two Fallout games yeah true but now you can play it again yeah and they also showed this was again this was EA I think uh they showed footage from Titanfall uh which I enjoyed the first Titanfall yeah it looks it looked like a shooter I don't know it didn't

didn't didn't do much for me I think it would be nice for it to have a single player campaign yeah I mean that looked kind of interesting like it's about this guy bonding with his his Titan the the robot the big robot thing a but yeah I don't know I probably won't I'm not terribly excited about that one I'll probably it are you excited about having to spend a fortune on a new computer so you get a HTC Vive yeah CU this will excite you as well Dan guess what you you know the HTC 5 the uh the VR headset yeah yeah guess what you're going to be able to play on that uh next year exuse me Matt what am I going to [ __ ] play Fallout 4 [ __ ] you when the uh with the Vive controllers in your hands so when you look down at your arm the pit boy is

there all right cuz I've uh you know we've all we've all had a go of VR now we have we had varying degrees of impressed or not impressed and we basically all boiled it down to if the game's right then VR is going to be a good platform and and if it's not then it's a waste of time but if I get to look at my wrist and see a pit boy yeah then I'm all over this that's what I said too at first I was like oh that could be cool and then someone said oh you be able to look down at your pit boy and I went [ __ ] off done yeah count well no it's not a glitch that's actually how they want it to be oh okay I was going to say I hope not I haven't noticed but uh I remember when when

people worked that out that dog meat didn't count as a companion and you could still get your lone Wanderer benefits then uh everyone was like ah they'll get rid of that soon but clearly they haven't no good right that's the games so far there's some other stuff um couple of like Little Indie titles and thing and stuff that we probably talk about more when they you know when we know more one thing that's interesting is son have come out and said they're not announcing the new PlayStation okay they've confirmed that there is a new PlayStation but it's not going to be a e3 but they're not announcing it the slim the Xbox One slim leaked apparently yeah there's a new Xbox that's a bit smaller yeah it's been to be 40% smaller

or something yeah I know but then I read the article that said that that most of that is the power brick I'm like well that's not smaller then the power brick is not in it it's outside it I don't understand the Xbox One is a big console oh yeah you know compared to I mean maybe not compared to the first Xbox but well the PS4 is big as well the PS4 is also big so no but I don't I'm just waiting for I want the the second Xbox One is I'm I'm more concerned about I want that one to be announced is going to have like the hardware Hardware yeah yeah for Oculus and stuff cuz this is just making it smaller um I've got an Xbox I don't need a smaller one it's fine where I'm not going to be well the

the XBox p uh conference is overnight it happens at 2:30 a.m. our time so I'm not going to be able to watch it but I am going to try and get up early tomorrow and I'll I'll watch it in the morning before I go to work I'll definitely be watching that so we'll see what they're doing and then uh Nintendo is going to be showing off the new zelder and some other stuff as well so that'll be interesting and then they again they're also not showing off their new console are they apparently not but they are they were originally only going to show Zelda but then they decided they are going to show some other stuff but I don't know what it is so we'll see maybe but yeah so they'll probably have we'll have more stuff next next week to discuss well I hope so that's kind of

our thing we're coming up on an hour and I did want to briefly just say that uh I Saw The Conjuring too this week mhh thank you very much to Road Show for inviting Jenner and I long to see that and we really really really enjoyed it have you guys had a chance to check it out no no not seen The Conjuring as a matter of fact H see I didn't we've talked about this before I wasn't a huge fan of The Conjuring I've rewatched it since then and it's it's fine it's just but there is one thing that you do like and that's watching sequels to movies you didn't like that's right and I do like James one generally speaking Yeah so I I got to say The Conjuring 2 was excellent it was it felt more like it was in the Insidious world like it was

like a spiritual successor to the Insidious films more than I felt like it was The Conjuring like this cuz I remember last week you weren't super excited about it to begin with no cuz like I said I didn't really like the first one that much well mostly because they tried to pass it off as a true story right yeah well this is as well and and also we we talk about this a lot on the latest necronom listeners necronom tocom it's a podcast I do with Jenna uh and we talk about horror films and the the story behind them and all that kind of stuff and we did a lot of research for this one on what the true story is the Enfield Poltergeist uhhuh and it's a load of well you can you can hear you canist listen to necronom you'll hear what I think of it

but uh so I kind of was like going in I was like well this didn't happen so I'll just enjoy the movie and uh and I don't know whether it's that that helped or I think this one just doesn't really bother trying to make it realistic like this one's got [ __ ] demons and ghostly [ __ ] that's happening and like I said it's more like Insidious in tone The Conjuring was a bit more reserved cuz I think they were going for realism but I think they failed in the first one but anyway this one was great uh James Juan was not there unfortunately although the um the man who who checked our passes on the way in did look like him so that was a bonus yeah so I recommend it Conjuring two thumbs up James Juan's back oh hang on to play the jingle God oh that's the other reason I

was hoping that James one would be there so I could add his voice to this this oh wait where is it searching for one it takes one to know one searching for one in all the wrong places I've got three James 1 related Jingles here none of them are the one that I want but I [Music] won so yeah I was hoping I could uh I could say Hey you know we've got a we got a segment about you and podcast how do you feel about just saying one into my phone for about 10 minutes you couldn't have looped it if once no no that's not it's not how I did the jingle it's not how he how he's going to contribute to it yeah but an cond drink to thumbs up

for me he's back I'm going to try and go to the movies this week I've been saying that for the last three but I'm really going to try okay if you no if if you like horror films it was really good I had a good time I wanted to go to the movies this week and see 10 Cloverfield Lane and apparently I'm way too late for that did you get to watch it anyway uh G to Italy and acquired it but I have not had a chance to watch it yet all right we'll talk about it next week then yes um I did watch one other thing uh before if we're going to we'll finish up soon I assume but uh I watched Fargo have you guys seen Fargo the TV show I mean sure I have have you watched it Luke that's one of these things I've heard great things about the television show and the movie Never seen either okay well

they're both they are both great I hadn't seen the TV show and uh somebody said oh you should be watching that and so we put the first episode on and then I was like [ __ ] I got to watch the rest now yeah and then we just binge watched it cuz it's so good [ __ ] good yeah like sucked me right in great yeah is it sort of like a retelling of the movie type of thing or is it just set in Fargo nether it's not set in Fargo and it's not retelling of the movie it's just a show set in the world of Fargo yeah and it's very good I've uh got season two here waiting for me as well I've we've started watching season two yeah I personally I'm not enjoying it as much and and Jenna is actually not really enjoying it much at all oo hopefully this is not another uh True

Detective well I well I didn't even bother watching season two of True Detective I think look the the the second season uh and we didn't know this until we literally till we started watching it is actually set in the 70s and yeah I did know that okay yeah it's like a prequel uh and so I don't know just I thought that was potentially a cool idea but uh depends how they do it I guess yeah I I'm not disliking it I'm just not it's not grabbing me as much as the first season because the first one just [ __ ] hooked me almost immediately because it's it's that tone of the super politeness of everybody in Minnesota and then the the kind of quirky characters like Coen Brothers style characters and yeah they just just nailed it really well and um yeah I

don't know Season 2 is just different so disappointing not bad just different I recommend you check out Fargo oh try and give a try what did you watch it on Netflix Netflix okay cool it's on Netflix no that's a li stand it's on stand stand okay cool I have stand too yeah now just before we go I remember a while ago you trying to sell your GameCube weren't you yeah I did actually oh you did sell it yeah I did okay for a lot more than I thought I was going to be able to just took the wind out of Luke's sales there well yes because I remember saying that you weren't going to cuz you going to hold on to it yeah I decided not to good idea why is that well how much did you end up selling it for uh the GameCube uh I sold everything individually cuz I I figured out certain

things were worth more I sold the GameCube uh with a controller and the AV cables but no power adapter cuz didn't have it I I think I sold it for 50 bucks okay I thought you were saying you had offers of a few hundred that was not for the GameCube itself that was for the games ah I've I I mean I don't know if I need to divulge how much money I made in total no no I just I just read the email wrong I'm thinking oh okay cuz the I got is that you got like a huge offer for the ex the GameCube and no the the the the big money item I've since the discover well there's two there were two two things that I had that were worth quite a lot of money one was um The Legend of Zelda four Swords Adventure on the GameCube in the in the box that it came with with a Game Boy Advance cable

and stuff ah that I sold for nearly $200 on its own oh [ __ ] and uh and then the other thing was uh Skies of Arcadia legends which I think I sold that that went for over a hundred bucks as well wow yeah I had no idea I had no idea that they were worth that much money and uh and then like I and there were other games as well I I've I I am very happy with with the money I got I was it was very unexpected I was going to sell a whole lot with my Wii with my Nintendo Wii thrown in I I thought the the Wii was going to be the the item that would get me the money and then the other stuff I could just get rid of by packaging it in but then no no cuz everyone's got a away and so I just put it up for 50 bucks and then and yeah like I said people were messaging me

going I'll give you 100 bucks for it right now right now and if those idiots had to just bid on it yeah I know no I'm I did well that yeah yeah cuz I just going to say like I've been looking online and yeah GameCube 50 bucks yeah yeah no I'm I'm happy with that as well you're going to take my Atari Links off me I think is that right Luke yeah sure you don't have to I will all right and uh I don't know what do you want Dan what have you had your eye on H Jenna that's all for this week thank you for listening and we hope you enjoyed the show if you enjoyed it then please subscribe and item to receive episodes automatically we'll see you next time
