can one of you guys explain to me because I really don't understand why there's a new trend of kids eating Tide Pods welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy I was hoping Matt might be able to explain this because I see this as an American thing okay well yes you're probably right I'm actually not American I just live here but um but you you're our correspondent to America yeah gotcha I asked about this the other day too actually cuz I

saw a me who' you ask uh Jenna okay yeah um and we did some research she she had looked into it a bit actually and I think she looked up some more stuff on her phone while we driving because there's been deaths right like lot of deaths now this is not a new thing that's the that's that was my takeaway from it are people getting high of it is it possible or that's what I thought at first and then I think it's just a challenge Tide Pods came out like four or five years ago I guess and at the time there was apparently a number of issues related to the fact that they look delicious and kids were confused by them and also some some older people suffering from dementia uh eat them as

well okay I was a kid once and I don't ever remember being that stupid I've uh I've just Googled what a tide pod looks like and I'll stop you there Matt this this in no way looks delicious this this looks like [ __ ] washing liquid in I'm just looking it up in a in a big Square the blue and orange and white pods think that looks pretty tasty I think it looks like candy yeah maybe to a toddler but we're talking about kids that are like 19 years old oh okay so that's different let me get to that let me get to that so when when it came out there was there was an issue with it right little kids who would eat anything that's colorful were gobbing down these and getting getting sick and dying and there were some deaths yeah uh and then

there there were also a high number of poison cases in the hospitals uh and then recently I think Jimmy Kimmel made J eating tis ination to the White House and people then on the internet started doing the tide pod challenge based on his joke uh which is I guess you eat a tide pod and now YouTube is Banning those videos because don't eat [ __ ] Tide Pods it's not food it's like poison stop it now look I I have found and I've pasted into the spreadsheet a uh a picture that compares Tide Pods to candies that look like a tide pod to kind of prove that you could reasonably make make this mistake a tide pod is bigger than I thought or that

woman is smaller than got tiny hands no no no I think they're I think they're quite big yeah okay I think that's a child's hands they've got nail polish on don't well don't give them to a child it might eat them yeah I actually honestly think that's a child hey uh Luke you know what I was thinking about the other day do you remember remember when we were in the line at uh that Bargain Basement reject shop or whever it was buying prop weapons for our multiple nasm short film Christmas slaughter house yes yes I do and we realized that we were having a really ridiculously suspect conversation you know in the line just in line about how real these guns would look yeah but I remember at one point realizing that we'd cross that line when I was like how

does it feel in your hand is this like um that time you had to order enough uh dirt to cover a human body for yeah two bodies man I'll stop you there yeah that's right and you were discussing whether is this going to be enough to cover two bodies yeah that's right yeah we're at the uh at the nursery where you can buy a trailer full of dirt having an argument with Greg tinan about whether we had enough and everyone else around us was like the [ __ ] are these guys on half a trailer of dirt is plenty enough dirt to bury a body yeah one body great we've got five bodies we need to be um so I guess that that's my explanation for why kids are do people

remember that with the challenge things they're meant to be raising money as well no I don't think so I don't think they do it for that I think they do it for views on YouTube or whatever yeah I am pretty desperate for views so I guess yeah I guess this is our next step the multiple challenge get one now maybe our challenge should be the opposite it should be that we've got to try and resist eating them you know they look so delicious and we've got to just try to resist I love candy you do like candy Luke you I'm a fan of candy too so you know I don't they taste like candy though luk leges are [ __ ] disgusting sickly sweet stuff like runts and I love runs in fact jeez no I I don't I don't do the pure sugar candy like that I'm more into

the glucose candy like a like a a nice pack of uh Allan's retro party mix will do me oh yeah man I don't have that here here in the old USA not just flavored sugar that's all I need do you you know I'm very conscious of the fact that nothing well not not nothing but very few things have like actual sugar in them here although yes I know that it it eventually is sugar but it's all made with corn syrup yeah that's right yeah but did you know that that doesn't make America unusual that just about every country on Earth gets its sugar from a different plant like in Australia we we use sugar cane and that's I assumed up until maybe a year ago that that's what everybody did then I found out that America get their sugar from corn yeah and in Britain they

get their sugar from sugar beets from beets yeah sugar beats man if they found out that we got sugar from sugarcane they'd be like what the [ __ ] is sugar cane well I cuz I had always heard that uh America doesn't because all the sugar cane in this area of the world is in Cuba and they don't trade with Cuba uh but Mexico does and that's why people like Coke from Mexico because it's got actual sugar because it does taste different oh yeah it does Oh Oh you mean the the drink Coke yeah oh well I mean you know people get Coke from Mexico I think as well but uh I did mean the drink yeah and uh so I'm very conscious of that when I when I look at soft drinks and stuff here and I'm I I feel like I I I consume way less sugary stuff

than I did before just because I'm like yeah like I read the ingredients for for like you know like barbecue sauce and I'm like high those corn syrup I look I look for something else why I want that I can I can hear some runs I'm putting them back down now I've stopped I'm locking them back in the basement I don't know how they got out seems like an expensive way to buy a laundry detergent it does and I'll say again this has been leading to death yeah like yeah yeah you guys South Park made fun of this like three years ago when uh when they said that the new craze amongst teenagers would be death and now we've gotten to that it is no longer a j it is now just what happens

yeah I don't get why do they PL to get out of it they know it's poison and can kill them because teenagers are [ __ ] moronic yeah they want uh they want views I guess on on on on YouTube and whatnot it's like do you know I remember I found out that kids will put a photo up on Instagram and if it doesn't get enough likes in the first 5 minutes they delete it and maybe they'll post it later and see what happens or they'll just try something else like they have to achieve critical mass very quickly or they have to delete it because they don't want it they don't want a photo on there that didn't get enough likes you know yeah like [ __ ] I don't even think about that I just put it up there like and there it is and

then walk away from it what do we talk about now look we've got some Star Wars news you want to Jingle yeah put it in [Music] Matt that's what George Lucas said look at there little bit of [Laughter] uh oh I just had a had a mental image I never wanted look uh to start off there's a few stories in Star Wars news tonight but uh I think the biggest story is that Star Wars has absolutely bombed in China right yeah it has not done well there at all $2 million right and then was pulled from theaters that doesn't make it sound too

bad depending on how yeah I know $20 million is a lot of money to us but I mean they probably cost them more than that to make it right how much did it cost to make that probably cost more than that to advertise it definitely definitely it would have cost over $200 million to make for sure um and they expect they expect to get big returns it's made a billion dollars worldwide you know what I mean there there a couple of reasons why it might not have done well yeah Luke so you did some research today into uh well the one reason is the original trilogy never came out there okay well I mean that's that's all that's all the proof you need really isn't it yeah so there's sort of a big they haven't grown up with Star Wars like we did but there's

another reason and this has coming out they don't even know what Star Wars is yeah but there's been another theory and this has come out from a blogger over there in China that um the audiences don't really think that the actors are that attractive okay say I love this quote this is from um chenta who was a Chinese Star Wars fan Forum manager consulted uh for the for the report and Chen said these actors aren't very beautiful which made deter a lot of Chinese people from seeing the recent films we often joke that if Finn was played by Will Smith Chinese people might be more inclined to watch it because he's very handsome sure I mean Will Smith's a handsome guy but uh I've I've never said to myself I wonder which hotties are going to be in the new Star Wars movies oh I have

[Laughter] I mean yeah I just think it's a weird thing to put people off going to seea yeah I mean I think Oscar Isaacs is damn handsome I was gonna say there's not they're not unattractive really the people in it are they I mean Daisy really no very high probably curvier than they like over there it could be depending on the advertising they had for it like if they focused on Luke M women women I'm not saying that they're ugly but they're older and women like Adam dri I don't and not just women like some men I guess too Adam D I like him I think he's fine yeah he's a very good actor yeah but he looks like a fridge yeah yeah yeah I mean he's oddl looking

but that's his charm right yeah he's not well charm isn't enough to get you through in China apparently not you just need those looks yeah I I think they're quite specific too about what they find attractive and unattractive in China although Chanda has thrown me with the mil the Will Smith reference you know I would I would have thought I knew exactly what he meant until he said for example Will Smith right what is it about Will Smith that makes him more attractive than say John boa well Will Smith hasn't really AED in a very long time yeah but jumbo are still young like they're both handsome like I don't I don't I don't know yeah that's like saying Will Smith's good for his age but not good overall next to a guy who as far as I can tell is perfectly handsome John boo

yeah that's that's what I'm saying what is it what is it about him that that they like is it I mean he I guess he's he's slighter in build Will Smith maybe something to do with that I don't know you think they don't like him chunky yeah I think that's fair probably why they don't like Daisy Ridley as well wa she's not chunky she's she got soft edges though Daisy Ridley no you she's she's a rake yeah she could do actually I'll say she's uh she's she's solid I guess cuz of cuz she make more out like crazy yeah what about this Will Smith is taller that's true mhm mhm oh well probably true I guess I've never I'll say this though I went to China a number

of times and uh height didn't seem to be a big deal over there okay I know that they didn't like I guess what I'm trying to say is that just about everyone from the West is tall if they go to China I say just about because I'm [Laughter] not well okay so it's not just uh it's not not just the looks of the people that people are taking issue with uh there's also a bunch of people who I guess just don't want women to be in the film at all that would have a bit to do with looks though uh well and we should say we've we've stopped talking about China now oh yeah that's yeah sorry this isn't the Chinese getting together and hating on women these would be Americans wouldn't they almost would assume so almost

certainly definitely although the version they got their hands on was undoubtedly from China but uh some meninists um have uh gotten their hands on copy The Last Jedi and have edited out all the women uh they have removed quote most shots showing female Fighters Pilots female officers commanding people and having ideas don't want to see any women having ideas yes there there is there a reason behind doing this yes because they feel that the Last Jedi has a feminist agenda so with a a movie that's almost 3 hours long and I famously did say that I I felt there were some scenes that could be removed and to their credit they've removed some of my worst scenes but yes

but they've also removed enough that the Final Cut Is Now 46 minutes long see I worry sometimes like cuz one one of my complaints about the Last Jedi was that some of stuff with um Admiral Halo and and Oscar Isaac I think of um Laura D sorry since I'm like mixing [ __ ] names of actors and Oscar isacs uh I've thought that those scenes were poorly written I thought that whole thing was kind of a mess and I do worry now that this stuff coming out is like like no no I don't care like she can be a woman doesn't worry me yeah they're gonna be like well Matt ham agrees with you he was saying on his podcast how he

thought that character was and if the roles had been reversed and it was it was po telling someone else like not telling them his plan and and then leading them off on this stupid side quest that went nowhere just for just because they were [ __ ] at their job I would still hate it it's yeah yeah nothing to do with the fact that she's a woman so what I approve of is that uh Leia gets shot out into space and dies there just dies yeah which that should absolutely have how been how she went out no Space Zombies uh no flying Mary poppin moment just a tragic and poetic death in space yep yeah I get the argument that uh that that felt like they would be changing

the film but you know what it would have been a change for the better because the film was bad that that plot correct that aspect of it was bad so that actually would have been a Improvement in my opinion cuz she didn't really do anything after that she in a she yeah she died yeah came back to life was in a coma for a bit and then came out and went I like him and then they went away it was almost like she had been it had been intended that she would die in that scene and then Ryan Johnson as he was fighting out his first draft that they approved first yeah yeah that Luke showed up and then he was like oh you is good yeah he said that uh he explicitly said that the reason she

didn't die is because they would have to change the plot where she's still hanging around at the end and I was like that would have been better one scene and they could have carried it on their own yeah there was only one thing you'd have to change that line about I like your hair just remove that he didn't talk to anyone else I mean they would have had it would have removed Luke and Leia seeing each other again I guess that's that's the only argument for that but I didn't feel like that scene was very good anyway so no it wasn't wasn't good at all but I definitely didn't feel like she just needed to be removed from the film completely and I don't I don't understand why people can't I don't understand so my ab take all the women

out like it's I don't that's not that wasn't my problem with the film no I and if it's yeah look people complain yeah but in their defense Star Wars the whole universe of Star Wars had only ever had two women in it it was the biggest sausage fest and then like if you cut out all the women from the original Star Wars movie it's not going to make a real difference to that movie at all true yeah other than Leia who's yeah needs help he's rescuing uh they don't play a bigger part so I can understand understand why the writers are now um trying to infuse a much broader uh way of casting now to

include women but and so to a point I can understand why some people feel that it's a departure from something that they already established but I mean were you were you really watching Star Wars up until this point going yeah Galaxy full of men just the way I like it yeah no see that that's not the didn't even occur to me and then even with Force awakens people complained Ry was like saying she's oh she's Mary Sue and I'm like well no but she's fine she's a pretty good character in force awakens I thought she was a bit [ __ ] in this new one she didn't do anything but I thought she was a good character before that like I don't know didn't never really occurred to me to think that way like ah a

woman like [ __ ] cares I mean oh you could actually download the def feminized fan edit look I I thought that uh Laura D is it hold I I keep thinking holdor um holdo and I only know that because of the internet anyway because I don't remember them even saying her name in the film but I'm sure they did uh I I keep thinking that her hair was distractingly purple but at the same time who am I to criticize a woms here like none of my [ __ ] business yeah I just I don't know hey can I say something this is slightly off topic but still on Star Wars and we touched a little bit on it last week um when we were talking about how there's people that grew up with the prequels and they

for them it's just part of yeah part of the Star Wars saga right they're the old movies yeah yeah that's right but I was uh I was on the Star Wars subreddit recently and there's it's it's all just love for the prequels right it's just it's all prequel love and not only that the people that count the prequels as just part of the Star Wars cannon also count all the sub like uh the Clone Wars seasons of that as part of it as well and I I actually became a little bit jealous of people that could enjoy it on that level because I mean if we didn't have this kind of prejudice against the prequels and we we see them as shitty spin-offs but imagine you didn't imagine there were eight great Star Wars movies and episode after episode of a TV series that filled in all the blanks in the

middle like that' be amazing yeah I actually work with people who sort of grew up with the prequels and they don't mind them there are people who thought Rogue one didn't fit because they're used to the prequels like the tone of the prequels and I was like oh yeah CU I felt like Rogue one so far of all the newer ones has captured the tone of that I want a Star Wars film to kind of take like exactly like they they always had little little bits of humor in them but they were kind of gritty and dark whereas the prequels were not that and then people saying oh you know the No No Last Jedi you know the casino Stuff felt like you know classic Star Wars like the phantom menace I'm like what no amazing well you know what I'm looking forward to um because of a quote

that came out this week um I'm looking forward to June has come out and that his June will be the St Wars movie you they would make they've already got that it's called Star Wars or triple x parody yeah I do recall you watching that and fast forwarding the sex scenes it was actually well done and quite funny I enjoyed it I wish they' make the sequel watching it for the plot which was the plot of Star Wars yeah so as you know I've just finished reading Dune um I'm now in Dune Messiah the second book um which is a bit more of a slug than the first one uh not quite as compelling but uh I for one I'm excited for stus Den Vu has not let me down yet with a film he's one my

favorite directors now a great run of Science Fiction as well so and he has come out and said that this will feel like a Star Wars movie for adults and not in the porn parody way oh but he gets it right yeah I think so I think I I I mean based on Blade Runner and uh arrival uh I'm [ __ ] excited to see what he does CU I think he's tops it sounds good to me yeah yeah also thank you for attempting to pronounce his name and joining me over here yep in there's going to be a mash up at at some point of just all the ways we've mispronounced his name yeah so he's making this a movie is he yes he is making it a movie

it's what he does why a movie cuz he's a film director he could do a painting of it but this should be better as sort of like a write as a book series oh wait that would be copyright this is a book over it's called June it's an adaptation of another book called each page is closely closely based on a specific page from that [Music] book I changed one word per page come at me lawyers in no I'm just going instead of making a super long movie why not make a television show and have like hour and a half episodes and stuff well they did that they did that for uh that Sci-fi channel did a three part there was one three-part miniseries yeah it's been a aded a bunch of times look if they do if they were

going to do a series I I would watch a series if it was done well like if it was done you know from the makers of like stranger things or you know you know those wellone modern style TV series yeah but honest to God not enough happens in the first June novel to to Really flesh out a whole series I I'd say they'd have to take in all of the expanded universe yeah well it could be good like um the the world uh there is more to the world then in in the book The First book so yeah they could do it but I guess maybe if the film is successful they can uh try something else just keep making films yeah oh I feel like they're going to

keep making films as much as they complain that they're that they're not making money they are making a lot of money making films yeah yeah they're making they're making decent money yeah um I did see this week that Ryan Johnson has tweeted a response to people who were complaining that the force projection sorry spoilers I guess I should say should said spoilers a while ago sure with uh cross that line already man sorry it's been two weeks um people complain that Luke's Force projection or Force projection in general does not have a precedent in the Star Wars Universe Ryan Johnson has tweeted a series of just photos uh he didn't say

anything just a bunch of photos of uh presumably his library at home where he has the old uh Jedi path and book of the Sith books and in the Jedi path book uh it's it shows him getting closer to the Bookshelf taking out the book opening the book uh going through the pages until he reaches the uh the section where it says the doppelganger or simil futurus uh which is a force technique that enables a Jedi to project an image of himself him or herself mhh uh I mean I I mean I I still don't think it was done well but I guess it does yeah it does have a precedent in the uh the book says you can do it you can do it so so does that book so that book's still Cannon then I guess so yeah and there

was a reply to him the other day that made me laugh oh here it is oh cool do you have a book there that explains why the rest of the movie is [ __ ] too oh man look I I would love to direct a Star Wars movie and there's no way I would turn it down if they offered it to me but on the other hand I'm kind of glad that I will never ever be put in that position because like you can't please everyone you're not going to make people happy yet yeah look the way I'm looking at it now they we're going to be getting one or two of these a year they can't all be good they can't all be well they can't all be for me I guess is more accurate cuz I know I cuz I still enjoyed it there yeah I didn't hate it I just I've come to hate it afterwards because I think I hate people who are discussing it

now like all the discussion of it has just put me off Star Wars fandom because everyone's just behaving like [ __ ] so like don't harass Ryan Johnson like he made a film it was a film he wanted to make if you didn't like it fine like there'll be more right like J.J ABS is coming back to make another one so there'll be one in like four months yeah yeah that one's not looking great either man they they've not even dropped the trailer yet they keep I know teasing that out latest rumor is that it might go on Super Bowl Sunday which I think is the 4th of next month oh yeah they have been doing a lot of Star Wars trailers in the football lately which is strange well it's a lot of people watching the TV at that

points very big over here the the football the American football I'm going to be in London when the Super Bowl's on probably won't be watching it yeah would you have watched it anyway no not no gonna watch any 40 while you're in London no no no probably well the football season doesn't start till March well that's good means that I won't have to say no when people ask me if I want to watch a game I'm I'm talking about real football Oh you mean AFL yeah I mean rugby league no I don't know what you're talking about I just know that all of those codes that call themselves football are the ones where you pick up the ball and run with it and the one sport that is a football is the one we call soccer right go

went away for a b yep and is it true to making a sequel to crocodile dunde yeah I think well it's a well they've already made sequels they're making it a Trilogy the fourth one there was a three there was a three yeah I don't remember the third one we disc seen it did we discuss I don't know if I brought this up on the podcast Tom Green's theory about Crocodile Dundee did I ever bring this up on the podcast before no I don't think so I don't think so shocked that Tom Green even has opinion on this so I'm you won't be when you hear it you won't be when you hear it okay Freddy Got Fingered came out at the same time as Crocodile Dundee right wait Freddy Got Fingered how could it possibly have no crocodile dund from the mid 80s no

hang on maybe it was like a remake yeah it has to be like the remake or the third the third one okay crocodile dundy 3 I guess so they came out the same time crocodile dundy 3 was a huge success Freddy got finger was not M except everybody has seen Freddy got finger and kids right it was rated R and he has this theory that kids were buying tickets to crocodile dunde 3 but then sneaking into Freddy got fing it instead oh man that is a very optimistic Theory yeah but he thinks that the the success of the crocodile d d film was entirely due to people wanting to see his film it's his conspiracy theory wow but yeah they're making a

sequel with one of my least favorite actors at this point I used to not I used to think he was all right no I can't one of your least favorite actors what has he ever done to you heing me away now he just driving me crazy what what has he done Danny McBride stop being in things no no no what what told you Eastbound and Down is amazing right y he was the best thing about Pineapple Express he was even in a Ridley Scot movie Just because he wanted to please you Matt he was an alien Covenant he was he was fine in Alien Covenant I guess so what do you hate him for I just I was like he's apparently he plays crocodile

Dandy's son American son yep yeah who and I mean don't get me wrong Paul Hogan's in it of course he is well he better pay his taxes this time that's all I've got to say yeah and then I don't know I just I get maybe you don't see him as much over there but Dan MC rid's in [ __ ] everything here he's on TV I can't get away from him he's in Mountain Dew commercials every five minutes he's in he's on [ __ ] Billboards everywhere I'm just I've had enough of him too many billboards okay well there you go yeah over here he's not in anything yeah and he's not on any Billboards here I can assure you of that Matt bet do you have for you're welcome to move back

I'm just I I saw this and I was like no I it looks like bad movie oh this this does look like a bad movie oh absolutely sort of going to sort of have the charm of the original or this is just going to be uh a stupid American in the outback getting into Mischief yeah probably wait well isn't that what the first one was really the with the the his girlfriend or whatever she came she was American right and she came over and she didn't understand crocodiles and yeah crocod I just realized that sentence is ridiculous no that's what theiles that's how they pitch it so it's like some [ __ ] yank Sheila comes over and she doesn't [ __ ] understand crocodiles she's like well how's that thing work maybe menist of doing a cut where all

that you don't like about breath well you said uh we discussed it briefly the other week and you said you don't like climbing things is that your main actually that was more so my fault I kept forgetting I could claim things right no I just had a hard time trying to follow the story what little of it there is right you have to seek it out like CU you could just wander off and not do the story it's like Skyrim in that sense you've got to really want there to be a story no it's like you know in Skyrim you can you can just off and not do anything but you can run into exciting stuff in breath of the wild you wander off and you can fight some things but there's no interesting stuff to find that I found anyway I mean there quests

and things I mean maybe it's maybe maybe there's less than Skyrim I guess but there's definitely there's a lot less than Skyrim you bump into people and they say I need you to do this and you go and do it you can't walk five meters in Skyrim without running into someone to asks you to do something man I wish real life was like that hey if you wanted to do something you just wait till a stranger walks past and then you just ask them to go and complete a quest for you excuse me do you need need something done cuz it you know some of the quests are you know like pretty intense but some of them are just like I need five pelts yeah well go get him yourself why would I when you're prepared to do it for

experience all right I'll be back yeah and also the controller I just hate I don't enjoy the controller but that's what breath of the world's fault I'm like see I I I tried to use the Xbox the other day and I was like ah controller doesn't feel right how do you contort your hand to make it feel comfortable on the switch controller I don't know man I just take the two little things off the side and I hold them in my hands and I play the game maybe what you need Luke is a cardboard box well you're in luck nintend Nintendo have read your mind I did see this and I don't know what to think of it I mean it looks cool

but also it is just cardboard so it it's odd but I guess it could be be very cool so Nintendo has announced labo or labo it's labo labia it's it's cardboard that you fold into the shape of something like there's one it's like a little keyboard like is in a musical keyboard uh there there's like a robot one uh there's a fishing rod and you construct the item in question out of cardboard like you make a fishing rod out of cardboard you put the Wii we put the [ __ ] switch controller in it and then using the software on the switch you can use the fishing rod but it's made of cardboard like which is it's

something it's it's a good way to make stuff cheap like cuz they've always had things like the fishing rod the fishing rod is nothing new they've had that since Dreamcast has had a fishing rod but it's always been expensive uh I'll stop you there this is $0 for what it's cardboard I thought these were going to be $2 each I was thinking 10 to 15 it's $70 for the variety kit which includes a house R cars fishing rod motorbike and piano let's just let's just reiterate they're made out of cardboard yes they are and there's a robot kit if you could download a picture of these online uh then you could just cut around a cardboard box and have one of these I guess probably people will do that but well I can't imagine anyone not

doing that if that's an option this is just such an odd thing I I mean here put something like that on your website and be like look at all the cool things you can do with your switch like as a marketing tool right no no like $70 like $70 for the sort of lot of them is actually the right price point I would think but I don't want to buy the set I just want to by one and so 10 bucks if they had the fishing rod for 10 bucks I would pick that up but I'm not going to spend $70 for a what do I want a house for well how's a house going to help me play with my switch well I mean yeah I don't know what the house is for either but I have little to no interest in pretending I'm fishing put it that way I no fishing's

fun in fact yeah but is not holding your hands out in front of you like that's not the fun part of fishing come I mean exx and also as you said it is just cardboard so there's no uh I mean a cardboard that you can fold into the shape of something else but still any cardboard any cardboard can be folded right I just I just don't want anyone to forget what this is they don't want to this is a box a $70 box of pieces of box it's like if you bought a video game and then open the box but wait the box is the video game yeah yeah in fact what they should do is they should start just

printing these on the back of game boxes not that they do game boxes in cardboard anymore but you know that' be a thing I could get on board turn my box into a little thing that would be very cool yeah they're just asking far too much for it yeah well all right I feel like we didn't really get down to the nuts and bolts of the uh of your distaste for the switch oh no achievements yeah I I I wondered if that was a factor as well it is a very big factor why would I sit there and spend hours playing a game if I don't get any achievement but that's hardly that's hardly a a criticism of the device self because it's fun why do you control achievements have destroyed gaming for me that sucks I guess it really does but I can't

stop because I don't even care about him I got a bunch of achievements playing the jackbox games with some friends the other night I know not only does Luke care about his own achievements he cares about he does I know the jackbox achievement was the game you playing it's 25th game you've played on the Xbox oh wow congratulations wow well I'm currently getting absolutely no achievements because I'm playing a game that's in pre-release oh yeah so tell me how is that yeah so I'm playing Conan Exiles and I'm [ __ ] loving it now it might not be the type of game I would normally play um for stars it's an MMO right and

I've never played an MMO before so so are you playing with anyone have you made friends online no no no so I'm playing this as a solo Adventure at this point I might when when the real game comes out I I might consider it probably not though let's be honest basically I'm just did you did you pay for this yeah I did so I downloaded the free demo right uh and then uh I played that over the weekend that I had it and uh just really I just love the world the World building in this is really really cool and and you know it's just a survival game so I'm just I'm just trying to keep myself alive built myself a little house and I didn't want to I didn't want to stop so I I paid for the pre-release so H so it's an adult version of Minecraft yes it is exactly that it is 100% that it is

Minecraft without the cubes do you feel like I might try it is it the kind of game are you going to keep you going to keep at it for a little bit like is this like cuz we always say what you're suggesting is that we get a server where we are in this world together then I am 100% down for that all right I'll give it a shot because we did that for Minecraft and it was hella fun yes yes the the only the problem that we had then was we were still in the same [ __ ] country and we still couldn't find overlapping times to to play games together now it's worse but yeah but it didn't matter because like like I would I would be doing my own I didn't play with you I'd just go for mine and skybridge yeah and then one day I I just come and just check out how Luke

skybridge was coming along and he'd be like hey do you have any do you have any glass I'd be like yeah man help yourself remember there was a chest one day I just got in there it was a chest was full of [ __ ] Luke had left for us it was just like help yourself yep cuz I I don't know I just really Minecraft I enjoyed just mining didn't want to build a house in fact just make me a game mine forget the craft mine and then and sell mine mine mine mine more mine more mine mine will you mine in this too so whoa you mine you cut down trees I mean it is Minecraft is it available on the

Nintendo switch I'm joking uh it is not it is and it will not be you'll see to that yes cuz I'm the deciding factor on what gets released there maybe you are I don't know I don't know I know what you do I don't know where you work I don't know what you're up to no one does I don't really know what he does either top secret the top of secet ever find out I might buy it now but I won't play it until it's officially released well Conan Exiles what you can uh you can play for free for a weekend if if you so no if you buy cuz it's in the the Xbox preview program if you buy it now you'll get it cheaper now than when becomes fully released yeah I mean I paid 60 bucks for it so it's going to be

more than that when it's released for sure yeah the only difference the only thing I'm upset about getting on the Xbox over the PC is no dicks you just said 60 bucks and I was like but then that probably means it's going to be like 30 here CU I was like 60 bucks is a lot for a game now like because I'm used to American prices yeah you're $60 game is our 100 plus game yeah that's why you said 60 and I was like the [ __ ] but yeah it'll be 30 I bet yeah which is basically the same yeah yeah I just took me a moment to reconcile that which is ridiculous because I've only been here a year and I'm already like well it's been easy for me because Singapore a Singapore and Australian dollars are basically neck and neck all the time so

right I still have trouble I go to the supermarket right and then I look at the price of anything like you know like a coton of milk I'm like I don't know this is expensive I can't tell I have no idea what's normal like I don't know what Norm what stuff normally costs yeah whereas in Australia that's mean every other country I go to right like if I go to it was in Australia and it was like packet of biscuits $20 I'd be like what the [ __ ] whereas here I don't know maybe that's normal I have no idea we uh 20 bucks I w't spend more than $2 on a packet of biscuits exactly that's because you're familiar with the price of biscuits we did a shoot in uh Indonesia recently and uh we paid for we paid for an actor to star in it and we paid him a billion ring and I was like

[ __ ] what it's a thousand bucks wow wow that money is worthless and you know they've uh not in his not in his country it's not well I mean but I mean you can't buy something for one ring it that's for damn sure but they actually tried to uh try to just remove zeros right because if you I think if yeah like if you if you want to work out with the price you move the decimal point like six places to the left right um but uh it's like Japanese where the numbers the same it's just the decimal place that moves right but uh they they tried but because there's a lot of uneducated peasant class in the

provinces who don't understand they just refuse to vote for it you know they're like wait you mean I I'll have like 100 ring instead of a billion ring it no thanks yeah right they think it's just they're going to take away all their money yeah yeah that's funny yeah I remember um when I was young and I found out that Yen there's like a thousand yen in a dollar or something like that not even at all but that's that was how my child mind was is like ,000 dollar why bother like let me find out currently a one yen coin I still have one yen yeah that's not I've got a I got I still have my coin collection here somewhere I brought it from

Australia from when I was child yeah so one one1 Us doll is 100 yen oh okay that's not so bad it's like a penny yeah it's basically the there's no cents there's only dollars right so if you if you consider a dollar to be a cent then than $100 is the equivalent of a dollar right should get rid of [ __ ] pennies here they drive me crazy I don't know what people like mate they should give give anything under a dollar nothing costs less than a dollar just make things even numbers yeah I'm sick of 1995 don't care make it 20 bucks that's how un much I think it's going to cost me yeah that's right here anymore it' be 1997 or something and then it's like you

got these [ __ ] coins hanging around you can't do anything with well and then it's still $21 something because of your stupid way of doing tax yeah that's true as well hon that's I do forget that sometimes no everything is taxed here that's that's what makes it worse I can't remember what what is and what isn't I just don't even I just [ __ ] pay charge me whatever I don't care how much the tax is going to be just tell me how much money I have to give to you they don't you tax side they don't know until you put it in the thing at the end they don't know like the cuz each items tax differently right exactly just just print that out on the thing that where I pick it up from someone someone correct me if I'm wrong but in Rhode Island here

uh there's no tax on clothing I think um there's a sales tax and there's also something called meals tax which is like 2% which is something completely different like so it's [ __ ] I don't know I they could charge me anything I wouldn't know any better I don't understand it and I tell people oh no in Australia you just you pay what the [ __ ] thing says and that's it like if it says it's $10 it's $10 and also you don't have to tip them because they pay them yeah we just pay them properly yeah does that confuse Americans they like well what's the fun and know and what you got to pay for all the time yep that is exactly what they always say and I'm like nailed it yeah you're like yeah you're right it's no fun no fun no but they do say oh no

that sounds pretty good I'm like yeah it it actually is is pretty good my math skills would deteriorate if I didn't have to use it 30 times a day you know like uh waitresses and and you know the uh I guess hospitality jobs not all of them but uh like waitresses and bartenders right um maybe bartender is a different if you go to a restaurant right they get taxed on what they the government assumes you're going to make in tips right yes so and they don't get paid because if you are if you're a waitress or a waiter in a restaurant right you get paid in tips and um they will the often is my understanding of it the company the place you work for will take a cut of the tips uh and then you get what's left over and then your paycheck will be like 2 cents because

you will have earned earned more than the minimum wage in tips therefore the the restaurant does not pay you at all you get paid by your tips but then wait wait but then when IRS comes to do the tax they're like well you've only earned two cents this year so you don't have to pay any [ __ ] tax and that's that's why when when people come overseas if you're traveling in America listeners like know this if you if you're like [ __ ] tipping tipping is [ __ ] stupid I'm not going to encourage it you're actually not paying paying the person they're not getting a wage like that the the it's I know it's stupid but the food actually the price of the food does not include like money for the person bringing it to you they do not get paid

if you don't tip them yeah I don't know it's just how it is if you don't tip they don't get any money land of opportunity but on the flip side uh you can make a [ __ ] fortune in tips if if you're really good at at the job but only at places that don't split it right yes oh yeah that's the other thing too yeah sometimes they split the tips equally amongst all the stuff which is [ __ ] too because what if someone's [ __ ] yeah what if someone's got better tits than someone else exactly yeah I don't know it's Madness but they it's what they used to and I don't want to change it that's what Harvey onstein said it didn't work out for him though in the end it's what I'm used to and I don't
