month wow but I'll only be in hospital like 3 or 4 days and then you'll just be playing your Xbox as usual but you won't have to stop at home I'm painkillers playing the Xbox it's business as usual oh man that sounds like your dream I'm high as a [ __ ] kite and I'm playing thebox won't be allowed to complain when she has to bring you food cuz no cuz I I I can't put any weight on my leg and I can't carry stuff on crutches so perfect although I imagine she doesn't do a whole lot of complaining no thought you going to see she's not going to do a whole lot around the house that is [ __ ] judgmental I just can't imagine her being a big complainer that's the one thing I have to try and work out how to do how to handle is my gin I thought he was going to say cheers

didn't you you H is at work how do I get my gin and tonic Oh So when you say control you don't mean control your intake like when without Hannah to to watch me I might drink too much you just mean like how are you get get inside of me yeah so I'm thinking about buying a little esy what time does Hannah finish work generally speaking fiveish Yeah he couldn't can't wait Miss Australian hours you do be yeah I know I do I do this is for the listener's benefit that I'm asking I know what the answer is going to be I'm going to wake up and I'm going to start drinking y I don't have to why waking up Luke [ __ ] what rules are you living by [ __ ] Nanny state of you got going there ESI in the Lou room ESI in the bedroom I like a drink you do you do well I don't know if I could

drink next week oh before your surgery before the Nick's podcast I can't drink for the next how many days is left but that's a stupid choice you made it's not it's an excellent choice Matt and I commend you for uh giving Whole 30 a go yeah it's it's good it's been pretty good yeah what day are you on now uh I'm on day eight today it's been just over a week how you last Saturday uh good good I enjoy the food I like the food actually it's it's it's kind of stuff that I like eating a lot of vegetables and and you know kind of meat and stuff lot of meat lot of veggies yeah yeah so I'm enjoying that um I don't have any issues with that as such but I have had some Cravings at times uh which surprised me cuz I didn't think I would

for uh beer in particular for some reason I just when I hear craving I just think craving for [ __ ] not in relation to you just when I hear the word craving I can have all the [ __ ] I want Luke yeah that's right it's not restricted no this is a high protein diet no beer uh we were cuz we went out this weekend and uh you know Jenna had a beer and I was like going out I did not think I didn't did not think this would be as difficult as it is just yeah yeah I mean I didn't have any obviously I was made it through it's just yeah just there was that little like a little worm in the back of my mind going you could have one if you wanted to you know yeah what do you drink when you go out rule I

drink water put on yourself water yeah water I mean are used to I drink water when I go out anyway I just usually get a beer as well but this time I drink water when I go out as well it's tonic water see I can't have that it's got sugar in it no sugar uh I have um what I want oh I like ice cream a lot I can't have that that popped into my head a few times was like some ice cream be good right now no can't have it honest to God Matt all I wanted was bread I just [ __ ] wanted a slice of toast until week three and then I kind of just forgot about it I just forgot about bread not that fussed about bread to be honest don't usually eat much of it I could go without bread permanently I think had but now you're going to think about it I'm thinking about it now don't really

care yeah I I I honestly think this diet would kill me or challenge or whatever you want call opposed to do so uh that wouldn't be good I I don't think I could survive with no sugar surprisingly you get used to it yeah I mean I've I've stopped the Whole 30 diet now but I still don't add sugar to things so yeah well that's that's the point broken that's the goal for me is just to yeah break some habits and uh and then get works man 30 days is long enough to to get yourself out of a cycle yeah cool yeah I mean obviously I'll I'll be drinking beer again afterwards but uh yeah yeah I'll change some other stuff oh yeah there's [ __ ] cider in my fridge let me tell you and uh also I picked fall AKA Autumn for our Australian listeners to do this which is

when you don't go out as much except the United States not just the Australian listeners literally everyone but the United States but I think I think mostly our audiences split Australia unit actually that's not true I know we've got we got got listeners in Japan and and got a lot of Chinese bus everywhere yeah we do that's true I shouldn't I shouldn't you're right you're right we got our Indian audience I shouldn't discriminate uh but it it's pumpkin beer season which is what what I was getting at which was a [ __ ] stupid idea on my pumpkin beer was a stupid idea or doing 30 during and then turning up at trivia and then having Carl the proprietor of the the bar that we go to say oh you're in luck [ __ ] pumpkin's back [ __ ] pumpkin head's back all of

these delicious beers Ros Murray's baby for the next 30 days y Rosemary's Baby is that a beer that tastes like after birth rosary's baby oh I see made by for road is yeah okay no no actually two two roads Brewery oh okay but it's a pumpkin beer and they Del are you going to make your way up to uh Salem this Halloween of course I've read a law that's uh exclusive to Massachusetts today that I that I wanted to warn you about because I I I figured you probably would go to Salem I don't know you necessarily do this really [ __ ] I go to Massachusetts a lot because Rhode Island is not very big and outside of it is mostly Massachusetts and a bit of Conneticut so yeah fair enough and who goes to Connecticut honestly um do you know that

it is illegal to start but not finish singing the National Anthem in Massachusetts wow well my jaw hit the floor when I heard what you said but I'm sure in days of your would have made more sense it seems so strange and I need to know the score so I really got to ask are you sure that's a law are you sure that's a law I didn't know that I'm not sure that's going to come up a whole lot and I'm glad you told me though cuz I don't know the words yeah well [ __ ] yeah well the first bit going to help you mat because once you start that song you got to finish it or what if I just what if something surprises me and I go oh F just it's the first word right look I don't know man I'm not incriminating myself at all I think it

depends on how you say oh right if you start going oh I don't know how should know how the anthem goes yes you do don't if you don't know it means you've never seen a movie I honestly can't remember for some reason I'm not to St we're kind of we're I'm still pretty close to Massachusetts as we speak so I don't want to yeah you don't want to I I wouldn't push it you know what I mean I my voice to car find the boundaries of that yeah my voice carries over state lines I could be in trouble oh my God I wonder if you could just stand on the border and just [ __ ] sing and then and then stop and then be like [ __ ] come at me [ __ ] yeah can we get me Massachusetts please that is odd and interesting had not heard that do it do it do it I wonder if they would

enforce that I think they would only enforce it if you were being a dick yeah probably true like just sitting there taunting the cops or something they would they would I don't know why are you doing this but if he does if if you taunt the cops from another state they can't do anything right I mean I mean that's that's they've got state law but I'm pretty sure the feds can get you you know standing standing in Rhode Island abusing Massachusetts police they can't do anything to me is that what you're saying yeah that's how it works man it's called jurisdiction yeah that doesn't work in Australia no Australia Australia doesn't have state law no no we do but yeah a lot of the cops they can just cross over the line and arrest you still [ __ ] punch in the dick well they got to get they got to

find a you know a gate and get through the uh the state separation fence to come and get me got fences between all the states here we don't I'm kidding yeah I wasn't I wasn't sure seing for I assume that was a bit but then at the same time that is definitely a goof sorry look I mean it's it's certainly something America would do so walls all over the place yeah they [ __ ] love building walls I got a Li card this week I uh why man we are really really turning this into multiple old man gasm I mean if we're not talking about [ __ ] our diets [ __ ] Luke has a [ __ ] diet tribe on his podcast this week about the dangers of gambling I got a liary talking about library card that's great I found out do

libraries still exist yes there's one around the corner and first of all librar are called Kindles well it's just called the internet they are and we'll get to that I first there's there's a library around the corner for me and I was I was interested to see what a library looks like here in America never been to a library in America haven't been a library in Australia since I was a kid I don't think so I was curious and I was like what does it take to get in there probably a library card and then I read so that was in the back of my mind yeah and then the other day I saw on Reddit someone it was in like uh some life hack kind of thing and it was it's basically if you've got a library card in the US you can

download hundreds of thousands of books and audio books for free on your Kindle what the public library is available to you on Kindle and you can just borrow the books on your Kindle you don't have to go there you just Bor them off that's insane so I got a library card and I got this app called Libby and uh and yeah I've got just more books than I can possibly read in a lifetime available to me now on on my phone and on my Kindle God damn that's pretty cool it doesn't have everything uh you know like I tried I've just tried searching for random things to see if they're on there and uh you know like some of my did you try searching for that any of that dinosaur erotica that we reviewed on this show a couple of years back I didn't but I

should now that you mention it no I searched uh I'm rereading some old Forgotten Realms books that I read as a teenager oh what that's great and uh and they're not on there but I I have them already I was just searching because that's what was on my mind at the time uh right but uh you know there's some stuff on there modern stuff like uh I think it recommended to me because it probably guessed my age bracket this book is very popular the book The subtle art of not giving a [ __ ] it's very popular these days mhm but that's on there in both reading and audio format cuz I know you hate reading Luke so maybe audio books would appeal to you I I did think about what we discussed last week with me reading this like solo book and stuff or the week before yeah I just

uh I didn't get around to it yep I I still know the last book I borrowed from the library is it you still have it no I do not I did return it okay flinks in flux an alen Dean Foster Noel yeah did you read it no no I actually want to read that one he just I do I did want to read it but I never got around books for appearances sake that's on my list yeah I uh borrowed books from the war gamble Library back when they used to be a war gamble library and then there stopped being a war gamble Library while I still had my book so somewhere I still have the story of Ned Kelly and I'm not giving it back I remember I once B the book um nrus was all about his predictions and stuff and I read that yes I bet you did and I called [ __ ] is that you don't believe

Nostradamus if you read what he actually wrote and help it's to help people interpret it like I'm going that's not what he said is that how do you think maybe you absorbed some of his ability cuz you you've predicted quite a few things on this show that's right so maybe you absorbed his you being so uh skeptical of soothsayers uh if actually you know what I put it to you that Luke is actually better at predicting the future of the Nostradamus because luk is specific like The Rock will be in a movie about the video game Rampage Luke predicted yeah I'm not sure nostr ever got that specific did he right I don't think nost even know the rock would exist no so you could say anything he did know about 911 though right pretty sure that's in

there probably um he knew about Mel gorbachov know have they all been have they all uh have they all come true his prophecies no yeah well have we wait no yes yes they have if you interpret them correctly no I don't mean wrote you reinterpret them correctly I don't mean are they all real I mean no have they happened no I is the list are we still waiting for [ __ ] to happen that he says is going to happen my understanding of it is and I haven't read them because I don't care but my understanding is that he has predicted all sorts of random [ __ ] and no most of them have not happened it's just people pick and choose things as they seem appropriate but if you actually honestly people go out read what he actually wrote and then you will understand why I call [ __ ]

it's like a horoscope you will meet someone cool yeah there was something about some eyes um in the in the river or something and that was interpreted to be submarines and I'm s of like what right oh my God he he he predicted that elong musk would bring a submarine to those kids trapped in the ti cave that is amazing I'm convinced I am convinced ah that backfired I speaking of which you guys covered this on last week's show and uh just wanted to say great show thanks for holding the fort there is something about having Just Two Hosts that makes a conversation a little more easy to follow you know sure did we I just realized this no I mean Nate didn't

point this out as usual but did we forget to mention you weren't on the show last week we probably did I don't think I don't think we did I don't think we discussed the you were missing at all so no no I was at the E vloggers ball last Sunday night ball e e exclamation mark you know that channel E entertainment huh is that what that e stands for I have no idea yes yeah the e used to stand for something there you go like KFC yeah kka yeah FR Frank you guys say kefka as well no no never heard that in my life so that is really a can baren thing then must I think the word can and it's

that until there's actually something kind of more official let's just not talk about it anymore until they actually start filming I say we stop discussing I almost didn't put this in ex except we've talked about it so much that I was like well I guess it's relevant but then let's let's just call it here okay we're not going to talk about it until we have something solid yeah that's my opening line for sex every time no look I mean sha gun would say this of course well he want he would say yeah they're definitely going to do the film that they've told us all to go home and get other jobs uh and they're definitely going to use the script written by my brother so you know I'm

I'm I'm happy that he's optimistic because you know optimism is a rare commodity in this world well and I I wish Sean gun the best because he seems like a cool guy as do I and James gun will be back I without without James gun sha gun would have as much work as Mark H H yeah I'm not sure he would have that much work just cuz what he he was Gilmore Girls and then what did he do after that until this no I'm not that I'm [ __ ] on Jame sha gun I like sha gun I just he's just not he's he's he gets passed over a lot Matt he crops up every now and again in Scream Queens uh which I'm assuming you still haven't [ __ ] watched no the thing with Scream Queens is right there's another show called scream

Queens here it's not that V I know and also I wouldn't say that's very modern true you know like what he done lately is what I'm saying other than it may have even been before some of his Gilmore Girls appearances is what you're saying sure yeah yeah you could be right and like like I said look I like the guy I think he's very funny he just uh don't see him in a lot of stuff that's all I mean no that's true what does he do when he doesn't cuz he he he's not he can't be full-time no I think he must like work at a car wash or something well not anymore I assume he got paid quite a lot of money for Infinity war in particular yeah but is it enough that you don't have to ever have a normal forg don't forget he's rocket as well

he's not just klin he's rocket as well so getting too get he's getting two paychecks but don't forget there's also a bunch of people who animate rocket who also share that paycheck and also the dude who does the voice yeah but they I'm sure they all get paid quite a lot of money so yeah he's going to be the six figure I bet the animators don't yeah no no but he's getting paid six figures sure but that's not enough to live on your life what it depends on how how high six figures we're talking about isn't doesn't it like I don't think he's in the high six figures I wonder what he got for the was he in the Gil Girls reunion mat yes he was okay in fact his

you've seen the original series you don't remember Kirk's short film oh I do which was the highlight of the show Absolutely he makes a sequel in the comeback well see uh I'm probably not going to watch the gimma girls new season but I definitely will go online and see if somebody's put the the new season was weird it was not yeah great they're making another season aren't they I don't know about that they made any money probably are um can we talk about a TV series that uh sure just started watching Matt you may have heard of it too yeah it's called Uh It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia yeah we're going to exclude Luke though Luke doesn't like it look we don't have to talk about it but I just want listeners if you haven't seen this like I understand because I I've

heard the name and I thought it was just some dumb sitcom and it's not it's the greatest show ever it's very funny and I can't believe that I didn't know about it until last week it people have told me in the past to watch it and I was like and I'm I was wrong everybody who's told me to watch it in the past I was wrong and you were right I should have watched this and that's why I didn't want you to make the same mistake Dan that's why I was pushing you oh man I have watch it's like I was asleep and now I'm awake it's very funny we're in there at that free blood test Clinic to try to get the paternity test to see if he's the father of his ex-girlfriend's kid and then there's just that black prostitute that just turns around and

says to him you got AIDS like I [ __ ] lost it I lost it yeah I can't believe any network would put this on their Channel I know I know I might have cut it out because I know it was just me going on about how funny Always Sunny is by myself but now you're helping me so it's fine um have you gotten to any of the episodes with the Trans woman no oh my God yeah and it's a recurring character and I cannot believe that this this this show got made I'm sure it's done completely Tastefully too is it yep I have a feeling in a few years this is going to be the reason why these people get fired from Disney well no secret Charlie's already been in uh he was in the one with the

robots that fight monsters that should have been excellent it wasn't Pacific Rim Yeah Pacific Rim I like that was an awesome I like Pacific we already this both wrong [ __ ] because I remember you said you liked Man of Steel more than Pacific Rim Dan what and I didn't like that either I really don't remember anything we discussed no I remember that conversation cuz I was I was baffled but yeah I've heard the name Charlie day and I I've seen P I know who he is and I was like I don't know or care about that guy I was wrong Charlie I love you know I Googled Charlie Day about 6 months ago because I watched and I know it's not cool to uh to talk about Louis CK anymore oh yeah but I but I watched that movie he made called I love you Daddy um right oh yeah oh yeah yeah

which was about to come out just before the other stuff came out so now that beened no no no no it's got uh or does it no it's got to morett [ __ ] Chloe morett oh that's who I'm thinking of she yeah she came out recently and said she's glad it didn't get released anyway yeah yeah but Charlie day is in it as well and he was so [ __ ] funny in this that I Googled him to see what else he was in and and you still didn't watch it I still didn't [ __ ] watch it no he's [ __ ] hilarious man he reminds me a little bit of Nick Miller yes yep but like raar more raar yeah more real like if show made by the three of those dudes like the three of those dudes [ __ ] went out and made it with a [ __ ] camcorder and someone put it

on TV like G Nick Miller was actually our friend that's what he would be like that's right yeah I enjoy it listeners check it out Luke give it another shot you might like it although I don't know I don't know man Luke's like luk Luke will probably be like oh this is offensive to uh minorities and uh it's offensive to uh women have you got to the bit where Luke I think Luke would appreciate this episode mhm they talk they they talk yes they talk about it several times and then you finally get to see it when they remake when they make Lethal Weapon 5 God and Mac does uh is it m yeah Glover's character in black face God no and they have a whole conversation about whether it's episode one they're dropping the N bomb y couldn't believe

it I could not believe what I was saying it's still on I think it just walks the line somehow like yeah man I'm flying through them though I'm you know I'm almost at the end of season 2 I started day before yesterday it's right on the line and I think they have moved the line since they made it and I think like listeners you might find it a little over the line at this point but I yeah I think it's I think it's pretty funny what am I talking about I think it's [ __ ] hilarious it's [ __ ] hilarious what how this Show's been up for like 10 years hasn't it I think it's like 13 or something now yeah we're not really breaking new breaking news in the fact that i' never I mean I've heard of it I don't think it was on in Australia I don't think it was on in Australia there

there's no way that any of the Australian TV channels would have played this show no anyway we've got one more piece of followup and it's something we discussed and I'm fairly certain we were falling on the side of Kathleen Kenn is going to be fired after the failure of solo it's normally what happens when uh when you have a big when you have a big disappointment mhm then uh you know your upper management goes everyone replaces but no she has been signed up she's signed up for another three years to uh is that how Works do they give you three years that's what uh that's what the article says three years she until 2021 how do I apply for this job well let's see Kathleen Kennedy worked with Steven Spielberg for about 25 years uh producing all of the old uh

Indiana Jones movies so have you proded you for quite a while Dan I've seen them okay well that's a start yeah yep I also don't think Spielberg's that good what chist well make sure you mention that in the interview cuz really going to love that not a fan of Steven Spielberg uh who who of a big Star Wars fan yeah who's your favorite director Luke um edar right okay oh okay no no no I'll let that go that's good answer I just like some of the things he does like in even that's what a favorite is called Y no no the passing of time it's not like just in a lot of other movies where it's just here split screen in the future it's on the train trip how it's you keep see seeing like the phone the

reception on his phone go down and stuff like that it's just yeah fun yeah he's a good Storyteller visual Storyteller absolutely yeah very good Scott Pilgrim is a very good example of that yes I think in general a lot of that stuff y so Egor right favorite solid Choice all right well you're hired as far as I'm concerned but it's not up to me unfortunately well we got to bring it not up to you no who's it up to I think I could do I think really think I could do job no you guys are on the outs with Bob haer I have some horrible things publicly discredited him I did blame him for the loss of James gun he dist himself for that we haven't talked about this have we that he's finally made a statement oh he had nothing to do with it yeah he basically said look I don't

do the firing and hiring but I hire people that I trust implicitly and if somebody in my ample management team says he should be fired then I'm standing behind them wait was it him that I had to go no is that Alan Horn Guy who did I have a go at ah whatever think he had could be anyone yeah I do I get I get fired up and I just I'm sorry anyway Kathleen Kennedy sticking around yeah sticking around for three more years got JJ back kind of I'm not going to argue with that I like JJ no I think the best thing she's done a lot of people don't like him the last time she hired him yeah yep I uh I'm I am one of those people that is on board with JJ's Mystery Box I still don't why they

decided to go like with three different directors well I know they've only G well to be fair the original Star Wars Trilogy has three different directors I know it did but I feel like it the mistake was I I can understand why they might have done it but I feel like the mistake was just saying yes you can do whatever you want and it seems so unlike Disney to do that yeah I yeah surprising I feel like that's where they fell down but then a lot of people like The Last Jedi so again who the [ __ ] am I what do I know it's one of those things like not everyone is going to love everything true but hey this is this my [ __ ] podcast I'll say what I want good on your M till I call you well yeah that's why you're here Luke you're here you're

here to balance out for you know okay so um if we're sticking on Star Wars news which I guess Rosses uh we actually have some rather St Wars news yes we've got somebody that I'd like to put up for Geek of the week as a matter of fact what's happened Gary CTS has passed away um he may not be a household name but uh people who love Star Wars know that Gary kurts was the producer of the original Star Wars films if you've watched any behind the scenes he's the guy [Music] I think are you sure George Lucas isn't your favorite director um yes I'm quite sure he's not okay oh yeah right he did do those three

films more recently yeah he made three great movies and then three terrible movies yeah I think he just got lucky at the start I really do or maybe not lucky I think he was good and then something changed in him yeah I think he has very good ideas I think he's very creative and uh I think because he got so big and no one could say no to him don't bring his weight into this I think that's what went wrong I love Gary cts's career though because Gary CTS uh he produced American Graffiti right great film Oscar winner right went on to do Star Wars uh then did a bunch of other Lucas film Dark Crystal returned to Oz um and then didn't do anything for years and years and years and then last year he did a movie called Gangster

kittens so I've not heard of this what is Gangster kittens oh oh this is nothing like what I thought okay I clicked on gangster kittens expecting to see like kittens with little bandas it's like a it's like some sexy girl in this like psychedelic backdrop and the summary is this an uncompromising portrait of the struggles of a teenager with an anarchic Spirit fighting to maintain her existence In The Bleak Urban Landscapes of London Jesus I was like Angel is a cool but troubled NY fet disillusioned by the tedium and mean meaninglessness of her uninviting workingclass future okay that's a weird thing to C had a retirement for yeah he's like I've got a little passion project I uh I've got I've got the cred I made some

[ __ ] great movies with GE George Lucas 20 30 years ago Y and I just want to tell the story of a [ __ ] sexy rebellious daddy issues nyphomaniac teen mhm I actually do sort of want to see Gangster kittens now yeah but not not not that movie the one I have in my head yeah you want to make it yes yeah very good seems like a lot of work so Hollywood go make that for yeah we just got to talk about it'll be made well you've got you've got a a month off on painkillers write a script and I've got kittens that's how all the best

scripts a camera yes this could happen how is your camera going Luke shoot the [ __ ] movie um I keep I take some photos every now and again and then I forget about it like I went away to Brisbane for a wedding and left the camera at home yeah that's called owning a camera yeah you got to form a habit yeah yeah I really do that's like Jenna just everywhere yeah you got to yeah get in the habit y just needs to be uh get get into the practice of whenever I leave the house I have a camera with me yeah just in case that's why I'm like I I I when we do shows and stuff you know we record interviews and I have a audio recorder and stuff and I always think I should take that with me and do some like field

recording and stuff because I always want to do that but I always forget uh but I always have my phone so I now have a I've got a little Zoom microphone attachment for my phone because I'm not going to forget my phone well I'm actually going to take my camera and I'm going to plug in my microphone and I'm going to record some interviews I don't know if I'll put up the video but I'm going to try yeah for when I got a pack in a month's time interesting you should do it anyway and then you can learn yeah true yes and then and then maybe next time you mat if you start recording stuff when you go out then you can uh you can join that Reddit group that I always see where um people just say things like I've recorded 20 hours of the beach if anyone wants it

origin of the Joker he's just a normal guy and then we get to see him become the J no that's not how the Joker Works don't do that don't do that I don't need yeah I like that you have no idea where he's come from and stuff but that's kind of his thing yeah because if we start to like side with him you know if we empathize with him then that's his whole chaotic evil thing out the window like Michael Myers right we didn't need to know Michael Myers was a just a bog standard serial killer thanks Rob Zombie like need that yeah or um the uh hanimal Rising where you find out that um his uh Hannibal when he was a kid was captured uh by rebels and uh and they cooked and

mhm is going to be taking over from now on um I don't remember anything that happened in any one specific X-Men movie sure except the first X-Men first Class where megano was hunting Nazis because that was the [ __ ] best thing about that movie yeah that was fantastic um and they're all been good I watch them and like them all but uh yeah it's kind of just one big long sausage of X-Men movie sure yeah first class was very good I don't think I really enjoyed the others as much I haven't seen apocalypse yet uh I heard I skipped that one as well I can't remember if I've seen it other than the fact that I know I have seen it right well this I mean this one looks

fine yeah yeah looks good but I am I'm pretty Keen to see what uh I still haven't seen Marvel does with it when they take it back Logan's quite good man yeah yeah I've heard Logan's a good movie watch it yeah make time for Logan all right I will but yeah we we'll see what happens once Disney takes over and yeah starts incorporating it yeah they'll St I honestly think they're going to do a better job with the Xmen series it'll be different in tone for sure going to be fun maybe bring back the original uniforms or the cartoon on the orang and the theme music yep oh that music good that's the one um God I want to watch that again
