I've been thinking and I've come to the conclusion that the Wizards from the Harry Potter Universe are [ __ ] welcome to the show Welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy right all of them all of them every sing SLE one even jny we now I don't watch or read Harry Potter but all the characters are Wizards right no you got Muggles Muggles in there too Dan what's a muggle muggle is a non- magical person yeah non-magical people oh okay right the MW wizards they can heal broken bones they can do all this stuff

but only for other Wizards they're just letting other people in the world suffer they they could cancer and broken bones and being cripples they could do they could do magic on humans but they well humans Muggles but they choose Cho not TOA so it's kind of like how um an ambulance in Israel won't pick up a Palestinian it's exactly like that Dan okay interesting I think it's a metaphor actually yeah okay maybe I can get into this Harry Potter stuff no it just hit me today cuz I've been for weekend and you got a lawsuit in your hands there mate I've done a lot of walking and I'm mean quite a lot of pain and I start think like in Harry Potter bones can be broken and they grow new ones back in a

couple of hours like yeah that's true they're hoarding this information and not sharing with it and making the world suffer you know what Fair call bunch of [ __ ] yeah I mean that applies to uh to quite a lot of kind of fantasy films and and stories and Israeli paramedics yeah like I said fantasy stories okay Luke's wife is live tweeting the show what well not not live tweeting sorry I'm getting Point by Point she must be listening to you cuz I'm getting I'm getting followup on what you're saying now on my Fone yeah she can hear what I'm saying well she does she is in the same house lucky she can't hear what we're saying no can't hear of I can't hear the thing you guys are saying she knew the stuff we said about her on this podcast she's

obviously telling is the true story of Luke's Epiphany a shim I haven't looked at my phone what do we got we got it with is there anything pertinent she says that uh in the Harry Potter Universe there's something about the biological makeup of of wizards sort of like murans with Jedi that uh mean they they couldn't potentially heal a human even if they tried she's got you there Luke no [ __ ] she got you there she just throwing it out throwing it out there no well I I I can't believe that because there are half Bloods Wizards and Muggles can just turn into Wizards magically like they they're must be something going on wait so a a wizard could magically make a non- wizard or wizard using wizard mag

a muggle can just turn into a wizard just nothing like spontaneous there's got to be a scientific explanation for it we just haven't found it yet her's parents were both nonmagical and she was a wizard into when when technology is Advanced so far that you can't understand it it becomes indistinguishable from Magic a mutation what she had was a recessive trait it's it's like jeans this this is from I think she may have studied this subject a little more thoroughly than you have Luke yeah she probably has a lot better idea Than I Do genetics or the Harry Potter books or both probably both I dare say she knows more about both of those things than any of us I just make stuff up that just pops into

my head sometimes I just dream it I do like your uh I like your theory yeah obviously some of them are CS still I mean the way they the way they treated Voldemort was disgusting Luke's theory that they can they just choose not to because they're a bunch of C yes yep okay well I'm starting to think Voldemort may have been the good guy in all of this yeah I've often thought that so maybe it was like he wanted he cuz he wanted the Muggle world to know wizards magic existed yeah so maybe he was trying to help them yeah he's a bit like Alex Jones in a way he just wanted to reveal all the conspiracies you know what I would I would watch the Harry Potters if Alex Jones the bad guy oh my God I mean he sounds a little bit like killmonger you know know you can kind of

see from his side from his point send ones to all let him sort it out yeah heal your own bones Christ it's up for a bunch of Academy Awards that movie I don't know you we haven't talked about since you've been oh yeah Dan's back hi Dan oh yeah back you case you didn't realize I don't think we talked about while with you on but Black Panther's up for something like [ __ ] 10 Academy Awards yeah including best picture which is pretty amazing and it's not even the token black film because there's another black film there too it's not going to win it might as a statement I mean which yeah the Oscars are very political so it might things that win win for reasons not because the audience likes the film Luke can you tell your wife we're not talking about

that anymore Hannah we stopped talking about Wizards no I just don't wanted to waste her time coming up with like real zingers and and and we've just completely moved on yep I mean if she if she wants to Wayne about the Academy Awards I'm more than happy to hear what she has to say ask her what she thinks about racial politics Kenny Wards I don't know look I mean it was a it's a good movie I mean I F I try to watch all of the uh Oscar best picture Noms each year with qu uh just so that we can judge what one should have won instead of the one that did I find that I don't like most Oscar 50/50 for me I've found there's one in particular that I'm I'm kind of I'm not sure if I want to watch it just because I I'm interested but also like what a

[ __ ] train wreck and I think you know which one I'm talking about go on Bohemian rap city Mary Poppins return maryin oh Bohemian rap city yeah just because of you know I've seen Bohemian rap city if you uh if you want my humble I heard it's it's just not that great it's fine if you like Queen and you want to hear some Queen songs for two hours go and watch the movie it's quite good beautiful shot beautiful lighting beautiful costumes and uh Ramy mik goes full teeth yes he [ __ ] goes full teeth full teeth and there Queen songs yeah it's a bit of a mess as a as a movie and doesn't quite know what it's trying to be but uh oh it's cuz it it didn't really have a director apparently that's right yeah in some ways too many in some ways too few

yeah yep and they've uh they've taken his it was a baa nomination I think they've withdrawn the ba nomination for Beeman rap city until they sort out what's going on with Brian Singer they said until it's sorted out he's not getting anything yeah Fair except his paycheck they didn't accuse him or make a statement either way they just said until it's sorted out not eligible which is fair yeah oh yeah [ __ ] MH I think stay [ __ ] away from from Brian Singer for a little bit till that's all sorted out well speaking of people who molest little boys right okay HBO are airing that documentary on Michael Jackson that just PR fuckied everyone they airing it in less than a month I read reactions to it yeah it's 4 hours long and and uh the

Jackson family have written HBO a letter 20 pages long saying if you Heir this I swear to God you'll have the full force of the Jacksons upon you what that's what Michael used to tell the kids and uh Jesus go on no just that HBO are like [ __ ] you I saw uh I saw tweets from people who were tweet like it was intermission cuz I had it it's so long that it's got an intermission at at Sundance and there were tweets for people saying I've just watched half of this and I'm [ __ ] mortified what's going to happen in the second half yeah I think uh I think all the ways that we talked ourself around oh you

know he didn't really have a childhood and maybe he just thought he was playing with those kids I think after we see this documentary we're going to be like nah man this guy was just a [ __ ] [ __ ] who [ __ ] kids yeah I don't know it seems bad but it sounds it sounds bad and of course the documentary is made by a bunch of former children who were formerly molested by him and not only that but other people have came out now I read today uh in the guardian a interview with one of his former housekeepers who said yeah I [ __ ] saw [ __ ] but he told me if I told anyone he'd have me killed Jesus that whole situation was just handled [ __ ] awfully because it was it was just a yeah I I was going to say I'll say it it was a freak Show and then I realized

freak Show is not a great phrase to use but it was a freak show that whole thing yeah yeah yeah yeah it was I mean as as was everything in his life so it's not surprising that he managed to turn something like that into just something that was just so full of craziness that people kind of allowed it in in a weird way well it's a bad thing it's not just allowing him it was the times of allowing anyone to do anything oh yeah indry pretty muching putting a stop to that now speaking of using the wrong word did you hear I just reminded myself of this go ahead did you hear what happened with nor McDonald this was a little while back now what happened no cuz I like nor McDonald I like nor McDonald too so nor McDonald uh was on

The Tonight Show uh this was in September last year H and he had he went on The Tonight Show to defend himself because he made some comments is The Tonight Show the old letman show no that's the Late Show no he was going to be the tonight's show they canceled it because he had made several comments defending Louis CK and Roseanne Bar and then on the Howard Stern Show he went on the Howard Stern Show to to talk to talk about it oh man the Howard Stern Show is not the show you want to go on and you're throwing around some really unpopular ideas yeah he had said he had said something about uh how Louis CK is having a tough time and people said [ __ ] Louis C K like what about the women and he he was he went on Howard and he was trying what he was trying to say I guess

was he wasn't saying that the women they didn't like what happened but also Lis CK hasn't enjoyed what's happened that's all he meant and um but he was enjoying it at the time problem AR enjoyed it more yeah exactly so he he he rightly I think CED a bit of flack for I think louy K can maybe suck it up but he went on the Howard Stern Show and he was trying to say is that I didn't mean that the women weren't also having trouble and what he he went to say you'd have to be [ __ ] to think that I meant that and then he realized he shouldn't say [ __ ] in the middle of the word he like kind of Switched and tried to course correct and what he said was you'd have to have Down syndrome to think that's what I meant Oh

no that's actually sort of worse he's like oh what's what's a nicer way for [ __ ] and all he's done is come out and and named a very specific subgroup he's just panicked yeah so basically he thinks that people with Down Syndrome support Louis CK I guess so so yeah he's uh been in a lot of trouble since then and he he had to go on the the the view to like def my God if you have to go on The View you know it's all over basically just apologizing and yeah he just when you have to go on The View a place where whoopy Goldberg the co-host came out one day and said that date rape is not real rape what the [ __ ] hell and you and you have to use The View as the as the moral standard for your apology then then it just sucks to be you at that point because [ __ ] just

do we do they'd never do anything like this though would they would they this this I know what you're getting at this is an interesting one because uh uh they wouldn't do anything like this exactly but what they what they would accidentally do is allow somebody to sell on their platform uh some some weird Nazi propaganda some Third Reich themed wow so what's happened is Walmart like Amazon and uh and some other big retailers you can now go on there and you know sell stuff you can start your own little store on there and what's happened is some guy Reverend Ryan new bought a pillow on Walmart.com because on the website it just looked like it had a nice picture of Paris with the

Eiffel Tower and and and you know and what you couldn't see until it arrived at his house was that all around the edges were [ __ ] swas stickers and stamps of Hitler that say um uh uh what is it well it's got the word Reich but it's got something the the swastic is over the other word so I can't see it but it's just like [ __ ] man so obviously he complained and was like this is uh this is not what I thought it was yeah I mean it it it looks very nice you know it looks very hipster it's just uh it's got a print of what looks like a letter written from someone in Paris but clearly it was written during the uh yeah Paris was annexed into the Reich land it's possible this is just a big mistake and some somebody like CU you know a lot of this stuff is created to

be frank sweat shops sweat shops in uh in you know as Asia and it's possible that whoever designed this thing just didn't notice like that's possible it should have been caught and so Walmart's going to uh put measures in place to prevent this kind of thing maybe check what people are selling on that platform well that's the problem is that it's not visible in the photos because it's it's up in the corner and they can't check everything they can't buy one of every product why well it's like on eBay right if I sell this on eBay we we set up our own platform if you want to sell on platform you have to send us one thing of your product for us to check it's a great way to get free stuff it's a great way to get more free stuff than you could possibly ever look

as he is for Thor and he has a lot of trouble getting that big with um with the much trouble no he said it's very difficult he has to has to eat an uncomfortable amount to get big enough I saw an interview with him where he said that he's looking forward to not having to do that anymore he has to force himself to eat to to get big enough to for the character and he said it's actually it it sounds ridiculous but he's he basically just eats boiled chicken and [ __ ] broccoli like and he has to force himself to eat like uncomfortable amounts of it to get big enough well I guess no no human being is shaped like that naturally sure um I'll happily do that for that paycheck I think he is happy to do it for that paycheck I'll do for half of

fine with that it's going to be the longest Marvel movie 3 hours but it's because it going to have like so many stories in it oh yeah it's just very long be broken so I can't I can't remember if I've mentioned this on the podcast before or whether I was just yelling it out on the train while I was listening to you guys talk about it last week um but um just the plotline of Doctor Strange going seeing into the future and seeing all possible Futures and then making certain sacrifices for one specific future that he says is the only one out of billions that is one that they actually want to strive for um that is a plot like ripped straight out of Dune oh sure that is the whole second

book um June Messiah that that's what that's about okay and uh word Paul trady sees into the future and sees that the the future where he lets the freman take control of the Galaxy and billions of people die in a in a religious Jihad is the best possibility in terms of deaths I'm now in the third book by the way work there why could I not work here I'm still gone I mean children of Dune now [ __ ] has gotten weird [ __ ] has gotten weird yeah I heard that they get weird Paul Trad is's son right is now emperor of the universe and he has he has had so much [ __ ] malange now that he has fused with the sandworm and he is half sandworm and he's like just like omnip he's it's it's [ __ ] crazy now it's [ __ ] crazy H I told you that uh that that Isaac azimov series Foundation a it's a little

bit like that too where the guy comes up with mathematical equation to predict what's going to happen and so he Engineers a bunch of things to happen in a future he like records messages to be played every thousand years and and stuff like that to kind of steer Humanity in the right direction and then it's kind of like about all these events playing out and and stuff like that it's good series well that sounds fantastic and it also sounds a little bit like that film that Brian mosus and Craig Anderson tried to get off the ground about 10 years ago called Marcus plus love where a guy with syndrome comes up with mathematical formula about how to get a girlfriend and he uses this maths to find the exact girl that mathematic says he should be with and then stalks

her was nor McDonald attached that film at some point was who nor McDonald [ __ ] I'd love to see nor McDonald in that I want to see nor McDonald in just anything I think I think maybe he's he's going to be hiding for a while Luke I'm sorry no he's got he's got a show on Netflix Oh is he all right then yeah Netflix have cancelled shows with people way more famous than nor McDonald in them I don't know if you've seen it it's like it's not good it's like a talk show I've only watched one episode it was just him and David Spade talking and it was just well I mean that's confusing why are he talking to David Spade I'm so confused no no no it's like like he kept going like I'm going to throw to all right we're going to throw to an ad breakdown and they was going

like there's no ads on Netflix like are you serious like it was it was just weird bad jokes I think that's the problem and I think that's what it is it's it is actually just them not planning anything just coming in and chatting like the show pretty much like our podcast is it is David Spade less funny than nor McDonald I mean that's given right I always thought yeah nor I quite like nor McDonald I don't know why he didn't get as big as the others did I don't know I don't knowbe we're funer than maybe you do know now you've seen his show maybe you do know why yeah maybe you know why oh I think now it's just because he's getting old look maybe when he was doing funny voices in the Adam Sandler movies you know that was or you know what it could be just in Good

lot of pressure on myself to be like oh this new game's out and I should play so I can talk about and I just don't enjoy them when I do that you leave that to me famously BioShock Infinite I did not enjoy because I had to force myself to play it so that I could you rushed it and honest to God Matt what if you really took your time with that and you got all the DLC there was a lot to see maybe I'll give that a shot too but but yeah Arkham um it's the Remake because I played the original on I think I put 360 well either 360 or PC I think I played Arkham City on PC I might have played Arkham on my Xbox it doesn't matter but this is the Remake uh yeah it's [ __ ] excellent I mean they're just excellent games and I thought I want a game like first of all

I just really enjoy the gameplay of it and I there's a lot of stuff to do in it like Puzzles and Riddler things and it's a game I can jump into and I might try and get a Riddler trophy or Riddler puzzle and you know just have a bit of a play you did play it on a 360 thanks lukee got some achievements did I wow wow you can see I also I played a bit of Ghost Recon wildlands yesterday cuz I was talking to talking to my friend about it it's a fun game yeah it is it's good look Matt I know what you mean though because I don't know what to play anymore because I I only get a chance to play the Xbox maybe on the weekends or when qu's away or if I have a little hour to myself here and there and I don't really play games to just play for

an hour you know they're not the kind of games I play and you know we were talking a couple of weeks ago about how Matt I think you have also abandoned Red Dead Redemption not because it's not a good game just because it's going to go on forever and do we really have the time and patience to do that yeah and then I had some time this weekend and and I didn't know what to play I didn't know whether to play that again I booted up Kanan again and then turned that off right then I played I played like 4 hours four out four and then decided well this is the same thing like am I going to build a house am I going to am I going to like [ __ ] form a clan what am I going to do like am I going to I going to spend 100 hours doing this and then I went and [ __ ] I

went on the the the the Xbox store and I bought I bought Wolfenstein cuz it was on [ __ ] sale for 12 bucks I play that for like half an hour um it was one of the it's the prequel to the first one yeah that one great yeah it's fine but I got bored of that as well um and you know what I ended up ended up playing [ __ ] dead red de Redemption you know what you should do what finish hellblade oh yeah yeah I should finish you should cuz that's a good story I want to play that actually we talked about this a couple weeks ago I do want to play that yeah I did like it never finished it though yeah now you got two achievements in it yeah I don't play for achievements yeah no I feel you man reason to play games I just need to take the pressure off myself and I'm just

going to play whatever I [ __ ] feel like without being like Oh I should play this other one I bought you know what no [ __ ] it I'm just GNA do what I want yeah just play games enjoy them that's what games are for let me play every single game that's ever released yeah that's right just for the achievements look Luke doesn't have any fun playing games and neither should you true I'll say this about uh red debt and I don't know whether I'd never encountered this until today or whether I hadn't just hadn't noticed it because of the context but I am surprised that they really go there with the end bomb no no they they do do that and they do do that in games that are set in the period like even Mafia 3 they actually

came out and went like look this there's even a warning at the start like we're going to use words that probably AR acceptable today but this is a game of the time because I mean it is true to the period in many ways but in many ways also they make it familyfriendly you can't [ __ ] any of the hores St I don't know why you can't have SE it would have been so easy for them to just not use the yeah it's like oh no no we don't want to let people do that that's gross oh no they can they can say that though what led them to to those two decisions independently of each other clearly but just yeah like I want more than a deluxe bar that's all I'm saying yeah actually don't know don't know if I've come across it game but I'm going to compile some new quotes for the
