[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy well Matt you're not the only one that can get gigabyte internet now is that so just a plan was just announced in Australia for the small sum of $800 a month no I can get gigabit internet see I scoffed at mine because they told they emailed me and they said you can have gigabit internet for 100 bucks a month I pay 50 now for 100 megabit it's like gigabit internet yeah so I went and I started you know building you know the plan and then I got to the checkout and

it's like oh yeah taxes fees all this other [ __ ] 150 a month and I was like [ __ ] off just because you lied to me no 800 when they advertise like that should just be the price but yeah 800 look they always but who's got $800 to spend a month I mean [ __ ] it I don't have 150 mat so this is for businesses Luke did you sign up I thought about it but I decided against it you like your marriage I suppose yeah I don't think I could get away with that one I'm telling you right now you definitely cannot get away with that yeah remember that time I accidentally ordered a phone imagine I ordered a phone every month how would you feel about that Y and also you have to commit to I think it's like a 2E contract or something ridiculous of course you do like something like the minimum cost

after all like set up and everything is like $332,000 [ __ ] hell so not getting no I just have to wait another 10 to 20 years well obviously I didn't get I didn't get money either but I don't need it really I have zero issues with my internet so I'm just not yeah don't have sort of any problems I just I wouldn't mind it for there are times where I want to play a game right now and it's not installed and if I had that it would installed in like minutes instead of yes an hour or two yeah yeah I I get first world problems yeah I know remember back when we couldn't even [ __ ] play games cuz we had dialup or uh yep shitty austral well like uh trying to play World of Warcraft with what DSL uh 4 megabit DSL back in the day I remember

trying to play Star Wars Galaxies on dialup I remember when I could only have one game a year because my parents had to buy it for me yep you certainly wer playing it online Christmas yeah exactly if we're going back remember when you couldn't use the phone cuz you were on the internet and then you someone in your family pick up the phone and be like hello and then the connection drop You' be like you piece of [ __ ] [ __ ] I was downloading The Phantom Menace trailer again you ruined it I remember staying up to watch the Weir Al Yankovic Music trailer okay when he did I did as well Anakin guy yeah a worldwide release for that I stayed up and streamed it and God that was the

most terrible experience ever really I I don't even know what that is what I think what I waited the longest for was the trailer for dark city I heard that was dropping and uh and I I think I it said something like um click here to download and then in Brackets it was uh it's 2 megab so you might want to go and make yourself a cup of tea two pixel meges you get download a song and it would take 10 to 15 minutes speaking of dark city have you watched season 3 of man the High Castle D no I haven't yet I got it sitting right here I got it sitting right here haven't had any time [ __ ] good okay I want to get straight into it then no one more episodes left until November now

when when they release they release the entire series or are you going to have to do one episode at a time I think they do the whole series on Amazon I I've been catch catching up yeah I've not watched this as it was released but I think I think they do it yeah Matt is it is it good enough that I should just stop recording now let the two of you carry on and go and watch it immed absolutely not never never okay I'm not going to admit that in front of our listeners no I'll check it out as soon as I can the season four will be the last season so it kind of be wrapping everything up they're going to wrap it up hopefully here's where they here's where they get it canceled you know what I mean when they've planned a great ending that's

when it gets I think they filmed it already so that's yeah hopefully that's not going to happen and they they're saying that the ending they hope the ending should be very epic and satisfying but then of course they going to say that they've said that about Carnival I bet oh yeah I still think that a lot with a lot of these television shows there should be a clause somewhere that if you get canceled halfway through or ends on a cliff hang that they can go and make like a straight for television movie to tie things up yeah I agree with that I think that's that's a perfectly valid Clause just I mean unless nobody's watching it yeah like maybe not if you've only got the first season but if you're getting up to two three seasons

then yeah you should be able to get that Clause made yeah just get the [ __ ] story wrapped up at least well cuz you know the carnival is the one of the very famous you know they thought they were going to continue so they shot a particular ending and then they got canceled anyway and now when you watch it it's like [ __ ] no ending at all it's it's like worse than an ending it's a big [ __ ] Cliffhanger yeah and well I think there's supposed to be six seasons of that and it's all completely written and they did two they shot two of them and apparently he's got the guy who wrote it said he's got uh the mapped out as novels but they won't give him the rights back so I guess too bad yeah I remember watching B battar Capra oh yeah that was that was another one that

that show started off really slow but towards the end I'm sucked in it's great gets to the end and goes on the next season there's all this awesome stuff and then no we cancel dude Firefly oh yeah but they did get that like wrap-up episode and it ruined it yeah yeah that's why I I read someone posted said that like really Firefly uh like came out of it pretty well to be honest like if it had been allowed to continue um it might have you know might have tape it off uh y you know whereas it lived it lives on now is kind of like this almost more credit than it that it would have gotten if it continued probably because everyone's like perhaps but I got to say like that started off pretty good and by the end of that first

half of the Season that got a it was great yeah is it the shortest like the soon as the show's been canceled like mid [ __ ] season oh no no no no there's been shows canceled after an episode shows yeah like Ed once never to be seen again yeah I can't remember what it was but I know there's there's at least one Australian show that got pulled during an ad break during its Premier episod one of those um too rude for television specials or like funny home videos but an adult version was too rude for television or at least wasn't rating all it was is there was some girl doing we did things with her tongue yeah and wanted to pack his phone up and went get this [ __ ] off my television now what kind of weird things that was it like what kind of weird things she was just

you know how people can sort of twir their tongue yeah that was that was too much for TV that was too much for T well too much for the guy running the show tongue get it off my screen yeah you ever watch Australian Telly you can't do anything it's [ __ ] n good point um snuffbox is a show that got and I think before the first episode that's that Matt Berry yes comedy we watched we watched the first episode of that it's [ __ ] weird man yeah I can't say I was uh necessarily disappointed to find out there a whole lot more of them coule a couple of sketches in it were really funny and the rest of it was just like what the hell I like the one where the guy walking down the street yeah yeah she's carrying the fish tank he's like oh let me help you with that and but

don't forget that's that's the second part of it the first part he was in a bar right right but the joke is he's always hitting on these women and then halfway through they mention their boyfriend and he's like [ __ ] off and like yeah and just drops whatever he's helping him carry great just really weird show well you're in a hotel Luke not for sexy reasons well maybe I should have this up like when we were talking about the internet I'm actually in a hotel using free Wi-Fi and this is better than we used to have 5 years ago in austral good point is it are you in an upper class hotel is that why you in a fancy did Microsoft put you up in a fancy hotel they did not I'm just at I'm at Timo oh in Sydney in Sydney yeah cool nice [ __ ] haven't been there in a few

years I actually I'm going to go to the hits at Broadway and I actually remember the last time I was there and what was that what say there with you Dan yes and we went and saw Eyes Wide Shut well that was a long time ago and I bet you both had completely different takes on it afterwards have you seen it since fa have you seen it I've only seen it that once yeah I always tell people that that's a movie that in order to really appreciate you have to see it six times to really started liking it which is usually too many too many times of not liking and understanding it before you finally do kick in yeah one thing that annoyed me was there was a scene where around the P table yes no one was playing but the balls kept moving though were in different spots every shot and

that just annoyed me well if you think curi wasn't doing that on purpose you know I don't know what the last thing I saw Ho's Sydney was it might have been that awful tazan movie that was an awful movie yeah I I want to hope that that wasn't it but you went to the movies to see tazan well I didn't didn't pay for it they they invited us to a screening of it and we went and saw it and I got drank a lot of beer sweet but that might be that's the only thing that really could have saved that tazan movie and I'm a I'm a big fan of tazan either that or The Conjuring two I can't remember which one came out after coning 2 is actually pretty good in my opinion not everybody's I'm sure two spelled TW o right it's like I'm Conjuring too yeah also Conjuring yeah also Conjuring so

why are you in a hotel L we haven't uh you going to HS reason in Sydney is actually go to the Microsoft E3 conference uh briefing nice so I last year I got to go and see it at E3 in La so I don't think it's going to be able to compare to that or we'll compare as just we be left wanting yeah I mean it would be somewhat similar but but yeah no so I'm yeah going to get to I'm going to get to enjoy it with people I mean if you kind of shut out your peripheral vision it'll be identical to being there just focus really hard on the screen get some of those horse blinders and just you know yeah but on the side of the blinders just draw a picture of what it looked like at E3 last year well I don't think it will be because like last year

I got to meet like Phil Spencer and all this stuff and I doubt he's coming to this one also Jenna pointed out uh that I refer to Larry her as Larry Nelson like a [ __ ] [ __ ] the other week you know major Larry Nelson if Maj if Major Nelson's there yeah that's fine I'm also probably she's probably going to give me [ __ ] now cuz I'm probably pronouncing his surname wrong his actual surname how do you pronounce Nelson Nelson L herb no it's not Nelson his name's his handle is Major Nelson and I Larry herb herb yeah I called him Larry Nelson and I was brutally mocked for it by my wife so there is somebody called Larry Nelson a lot oh I'm sure I'm sure it's just not the guy for Microsoft yeah not the spokesperson for

Xbox no it's a professional golfer okay oh that's who I meant [ __ ] you Jenna that's who I me aged 71 years Luke got to meet him at E3 for some reason Ford Payne Alabama yeah I'm pretty sure that's who you met at E3 yeah but I do need some help with this how do the Matt how do you get up early CU you do it every week yeah you just have to uh do it consistently and eventually it becomes like this morning I I wake up before my alarm now and and some days when I'm like I could sleep in tomorrow I don't I wake up yep so you just have to do it yeah cuz I have to get up and be there like at 5:30 a.m. yeah that is disgusting when I started getting up to go to the gym I would get up around 500 5:30 to to go to the gym and I was like

like this is going to be [ __ ] hard and then after a couple of weeks it was just normal so yep I've a I've got a tip for you Luke did get yeah get a dog because uh yeah good point yeah I wake up at 6 o'cl every [ __ ] morning now because of my godamn dog going hey Danny we're up feed me and take me outside yeah see that toilet I can't use that so [ __ ] take me outside I've got cats they get a robotic feeder at just handles that they don't wake me up there's your problem you're relying on robots to run your household yeah well we have that too but but deck does not have that Google does a lot for me at home can't let deck outside cuz there's a bear in the neighborhood what yeah there's well actually's a few bear okay

let's back this up let's back it up a little bit I do want to hear all about [ __ ] your Sydney trip Luke but first I want to hear about this bucking bear well there's been a few sightings of of bears around and particularly grizzly bear area uh no like a black bear I believe black bear oh okay yeah there so not like not like the big hairy gentleman yes exactly of of African descent HH black bears matter they had had a yeah they had a meet up one of those furry conventions recently in one of them lost in the woods um no the the the other week I shared a news report cuz a bear had been seen somewhat near my house and apparently there's been a few more and in particular there's one uh on

a street nearby so oh yeah they're around would it be a good idea for to let him out by himself well the [ __ ] turkey probably attack him too turkeys are [ __ ] [ __ ] oh turkey's vicious they're terrifying also there 30 of them is to attack the bear I mean I think you've just presented the problem and a solution man if imagine getting up in the morning looking out the window and there's [ __ ] 30 turkeys fighting a bear in the backyard that would be pretty good yeah I uh I can't say I'd be disappointed by seeing that I'd be terrified but I'd be loving that would be a snap for me to send yeah yeah yeah but yes E3 yes finally come around again and I'm

excited that time of year where all these games get announced have you got your Xbox links body spray to wear so that you smell like an Xbox see that when I first saw that they were coming out with like body wash and deodorant I've gone yep I'm going to get it I'm going to be a fanboy I'm going to get it then I saw it was links link or a as it's called in America yeah I want to know what this smells like too like does this make you smell like cuz an Xbox has that kind of signature smell if you get up real close to it you know what I mean just that kind of like heat and electronics but then again plastic or does this make you smell like people who just sit at home all day and

and and play lot Xbox smells like B oh God I hope well once I find some or are they are they bringing this out because they're saying look we know you don't currently wash so we're going to make this real easy for you should be when people buy tickets to like conventions and stuff maybe there should be like a little disclaimer about teaching people how to wash when they're going out because a lot of these people there are so many people who don't yeah know there was a we talk about this there was a big uh a big kafuffle I guess uh about sanitary uh sanitation I guess at uh Esports events and a lot of um announcers and uh people you know like

kind of I guess celebrities were refusing to show up to Esports events because the it stank so yeah it was it was a big thing like CU I found you know yeah some people at events smell great uh some people in [ __ ] life don't smell great so it's not just you know it's not always nerds but H sometimes it's mostly nerds and look by the end of a conference by the end of a day something like that I mean you know people are going to start to people are going to start to sweat but if it's first thing in the morning and we're just arriving and you stink then that's on you buddy it's on you but then well there people was like I think I forget it was some some well-known ESP sports

announcer commentator said that he he would turn up one morning and the the people there were in the same clothes [Laughter] as it's called here is so still so popular given that it's also the butt of so many jokes about how it's moral like well it's like somebody's buying [ __ ] Nickelback albums you know what I mean sure yeah yeah maybe it's like it's cool to be like actually it's good you know you reckon Lynx will become hipster eventually maybe oh of course it will maybe this is where it all starts as soon as I find some I will buy buy it though theb rev it I'll give it a try I want some shower pick up on the

Instagram smell it y scr and sniff if the technology is available to us if I see it at the store I'm going to I'll I'll give it a smell it's only Australian New Zealand is that true uh I believe so Ian it says links on it so right so doubtful you'll see it in the shops Matt unless you happen to be in Australian New Zealand yeah yeah well I'd like to be uh at some point it smells I will say I'll if you want I'll send you both some I can tell you exactly what it smells like it's the fresh scent of pulsing green Citrus pulsing Citrus puling my that's my favorite kind of citrus pulsing Citrus featuring featuring top notes of cafir lime and winter lemon aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage and Woody bottom notes of pachuli and Clearwood

smell I don't care I like the Citrus part the pulsing put me off a little bit is [ __ ] wine or deodorant Luke you going have to have a taste as well it sounds like all right yeah okay I can do this I'll go and try and find some tomorrow so you can get a body spray a deodorant and a shower gel what do you think is going to serve you best Luke I assume you currently use all of those products which one are you going to replace maybe once a month I certainly do um so you're one of those people yeah I think you Target a so you know what I encourage you to no I once a mon I'm not like one of those animals and if if if a [ __ ] con or or an expo happens to be on that uh that day then good for the people around me if not go to hell

it just doesn't didn't capture me it looks beautiful though I mean I get it I get it and I'm like I'm with you but damn it looks good yeah it's but it's got that same thing where it's like he's a [ __ ] child Jedi and he's he like [ __ ] blasting holes in walls with his Force push and he's yeah freezing things and he's pulling storm tropers across the room it's just did S one thing I did like about it is he does seem like a a child yeah you like you like children yes I me though he had that sort of like wanting to help eagerness like he's he's over 10 so yep that's all that matters I know it's a video game right and you want to be powerful in a video game and it's you know it wouldn't be

fun if he was [ __ ] played like Obi-Wan in A New Hope where he would just an old man like slowly hobbling around so I get it what was that game where you play an old woman and you just walk her to the cemetery oh [ __ ] I can't remember the name of it but yeah you remember the one that where all you do is and she's so old that actually just just walking is incredibly arduous yeah and sometimes you just die yeah sometimes you just don't make it yeah that was a [ __ ] weird game yeah we should combine that with this look I know what you're saying mate I mean I almost feel like now that we need to maybe we've just in the in the Star Wars films that we've seen we've just been following some [ __ ] characters you know what I mean who just aren't very good at the force maybe like you have Darth Vader

his Force powers and then he's not while he's not looking he doesn't hear the [ __ ] K2 Droid loudly stump up behind and grab him like whatever doesn't matter it doesn't matter just we see bre deep breaths it's fine I just like Star Wars guys yeah I know you do Maddie so right well I will be giving them the $100 to play it sure you will but what do you what do you think Microsoft's going to going to show you I'm thinking there will be discussion of new console mhm yes I don't think they'll show it but I think they'll announce it okay um something that's leaked today um have you guys been to

the Microsoft PC store no no it's terrible is that the where only the politically correct games are allowed exactly well new app comes out now which is basically turning the Microsoft store into much like the Xbox store so a lot easier to navigate looks a lot nicer so I'm looking forward to that oh yeah there'll be Halo of course yeah a new one Halo geese of War yeah another one of those but I don't know I think they're going to be we'll see a fair bit more PC this time around I just have a feeling really I think there something more push expand out again I think they're trying to dip their toe back in cuz they've tried a couple of times with PC gaming and it has not gone well yeah right like games with Windows Live and yeah but this time I think because they're

pushing more for crossplay so I think this is yeah where we'll see this come in but we'll I'll let you know next week do you think they'll get the president of Sony up and have a big onstage hug and be like you can play together now well in safe file that was Hannah pred that Microsoft are going to announce the new PlayStation [Laughter] 5 yeah the play box we've joined forces [ __ ] that would be weird and it now costs $110,000 but there's not another one so give us your money it plays all games ever yeah everyone is really starting to play nice together except Playstation still just slly on the outside yeah know just cuz they're not winning this sort of

generation so they're thinking we don't have to but everyone else is sort of coming together so do you think they'll show uh Xbox on the switch the the the you know the the the bringing out a switch side to the you know because they're going to be achievements on their games on switch will we get to see that this year do you think I I don't think that'll be something that they would show okay I think they would sort of announce that but when they sort of got this and everyone's looking at them they're only going to be sort of pushing a lot of their their stuff not going to push Nintendo all right well here's a couple of rumors I've heard you tell me if you think they'll show this or not uh cyber Punk footage some stuff from for cyber Punk um I think they might because

where else are they going to show cyber Punk right yeah I hope they do I really really [ __ ] excited about that game uh new Fable I heard a rumor oh yes I believe that is coming I believe that's coming from the guys who uh been making the fors of horizon games the rumor is yeah that I so I think there will be a fable thought that's a obvious choice the guys who made a car racing game yep I'm being factious but um they they do other stuff but yeah that I'm hoping for Fable 4 cuz I'm actually just playing through Fable 3 at the moment remember they canceled that that Fable game they announced a couple years back that suck oh that Fable Legends or something no it did not suck that they canceled it it was going to be

a terrible game that's where one player was the kind one player was the bad guy and then four guys were trying to it's one of those co-op games which we would never have played yeah good point it's probably better off yeah all right fine um uh um um um what's that uh that new well the Bethesda things this afternoon too right so the Bethesda will show that new thing so what's what's that new game of this Starfield Starfield um Bethesda have always been ones do they normally do make an appearance at the Xbox yeah that's what that's what I was thinking cuz they they showed uh what did they show last year they showed something at the at the Xbox yeah the year before they were showing off Fallout

VR then what I can't remember what they showed off last year was it maybe just Wolfenstein oh it could be might have just been Wolfenstein a slow year if you turn up with this Wolfenstein that's all I'm going to say about that yeah I know there's a new doom and a new Wolfenstein coming out like we're in we're back in the 90s yeah thanks thanks for your reference but yeah so yeah that yeah I haven't really been looking too much about Bethesda what they will be doing cuz I don't know they they don't have a new Skyrim or a Fallout coming anytime soon well they they announced this week uh that that you know people are still playing Skyrim obviously on every [ __ ] platform in the universe and I log I log on to about once a month yeah

I play it on the switch sometimes now um but they said that the new one Elder Scroll 6 whichever region it ends up being said in is going to be a game that you play for a decade look I believe it I I started a new game of Skyrim like I don't know two years ago or something playing from the start I've played for longer than I did the first time when I played it all the way through and I haven't done any of the story y yeah well that's the you can start a new game and just go do something completely different and like there's not a necessarily a huge amount of over in Skyrim I finished a story by accident look this this my second playr has nothing like yeah well I can see it cuz it is one of

those games that you do but don't design it for that I want to game to a servicing I'm not a fan of that don't make it Fallout 76 no I the other thing they said this week was that that they knew for they were expecting it to do yeah they knew it was [ __ ] and they were just going to fix it later basically like all right great well I think one other people may be interpreting what he said to say like we're expecting the backlash because it's not what that people are expecting but made a terrible game yeah well even when they you know they they show like just the gamepl before before it came out Fallout 76 I'm referring to um they it just didn't look very interesting to me no it was like not what Fallout is it's like oh you got a

base you can defend it from Death Clause remember they showed that big thing about how it's like 10 people defending their base from a death CL I'm like that's not what Fallout is y yeah yeah that's not what I want to play I like the exploring and talking to people and getting lost and not this is just yeah I actually logged on to it probably three two three weeks ago and went this was crap oh there's a big sale on right now there's a big sale on Xbox particularly now so Fallout 76 is $30 and I was like no but anthem's on sale and I really want to like Anthem oh but you don't Matt you don't I know I know maybe I could EA briefing um so they gave like half an hour to um Apex and

time to all other games and Anthem 5 minutes so don't spend $30 on that game's dead damn like there is no one playing it do you know what you know what it is the flying around in that suit in it is [ __ ] sick it's so fun and the game is beautiful that's all it is yep if if I'm it's not worth $30 like one thing all they have to do to make that game better is have it so when you fly around and you finish a mission you can just fly somewhere else and just explore and start another mission not have to all right I finished the mission I have to go back to the base now and then want around there it's yeah just it takes you out of the game that you want to play and don't make me play with three random people please just let me play by myself I don't don't

force me this why I to play with other people you know I'm sick of these games as a service thing at the moment which there have been talk of like companies sort of like releasing games like out releasing out like for that 76 cuz some games that have gone out have been terrible and then the support they've got have made them better like our Rainbow Six Siege right when that first came out no one was playing it and then they supported it it got better and now everyone plays that a lot yeah but no I I want my single player stories yeah completely agree it's all I want completely agree well that's why this new obsidian game going to be good yes so that comes out in August so that well we should see something from that announcing that release date I'm

thinking at the Xbox event you think I don't maybe Xbox yeah oh yeah we've got ubisoft's got uh tomorrow or is it tomorrow there's is and um or is it maybe it's Tuesday um and then what do you think Nintendo is going to show uh just more games more cardboard probably game more cardboard that's I can't believe they made a [ __ ] $100 cardboard box did that ever actually come out yeah that came out people loved it for about 30 minutes and then you haven't heard anything no exactly I remember it it came out and then all the the new sites were like oh it's actually really good and then then they got bored with it or it got wet and dissolved yeah so Nintendo shoes there

Bethesda today after Microsoft Square Enix is on Monday yeah oh no they make some all right stuff I'm just thinking Final Fantasy I don't care yeah well I'm looking I'm hoping to see more Final Fantasy 7 and maybe a release date for the first episode of that yeah yeah I played that a while ago Final Fantasy didn't Final Fantasy 7 yeah I did yeah the Remake though oh no no actually I'm playing Final Fantasy 7 at the moment they can't only be up to seven surely I mean I've never played Final Fantasy but they're well past seven they [ __ ] shot past seven 15 yeah no they're not even because they keep releas they started releasing sequels it started with 10 like Final

Fantasy 10 2 like what are you doing yep and then Final Fantasy 11 was an online one Final Fantasy 12 was a Trilogy um M me nothing 14 was another online at one and then 15 yeah but yeah I do like that like it's just a name that they use and the story is always different and there's just some things that cross over it works yeah it's always a chucko yeah it's always chucko that's the one thing that links them all mhm uh they announced Boulders Gate 3 the other day did you see that I wish this was 15 years ago m and it was still like isometric I don't know what well there's no gameplay so I don't know what this game looks like there's no gameplay but they're re-releasing like the the

original bcap one and two like a re remake of them wait what so I already have them I already have the remakes but settle down remake [ __ ] hell what have they done to them I don't know they're coming out in the Xbox oh okay uh that might be just the the beam dog versions that's fine I have those I have those on on my [ __ ] Mac and on my iPad they're good so it might it might come out the same as that I don't know what's I think it's the developers who did Divinity original sin and the sequel or no Divinity I forget what the name of the new ones are there's two Divinity and Divinity 2 whatever the subtitles of those are and they're isometric and it's those people so hopefully it's like that but

hopefully it I'm a bit confused by the trailer so well that's just a get people excited but no I I'm sort of I I would love to play a game like this again I don't have to patience for a game like this anymore okay see I'm I I do and I'm really excited that's like pillars of Eternity is I've been playing now and if it's if it's all just like that then good that's what I want I'll probably buy it oh yeah see but I wouldn't I don't know that I would play this on the Xbox I don't think it's coming out on the Xbox actually now that I've said that I think it's PC and um I could see it being on Xbox if since they're doing the one and two yeah they might do it later coming out on oh at stadia that's right

which which is a pretty good segue to stadia yes which is Google's streaming service coming out very soon not to Australia for some reason probably because of your internet yeah cuz nobody can afford the $800 a month the [ __ ] month no we have it a look like at the minimum you need like um 10 megabytes download one megabyte upload which that's all right that's that's nothing yeah that's not too bad and that's to play in 720p H to play it like you 4K you need 35 Meg downloaded as a constant noo well I I'm I might try out this thing it's going to cost 10 bucks a month for stadia and I think it's like 130 bucks to like get

started for controller yeah you got to buy the controller and all that kind of stuff which it sounds expensive for a controller but it it we discussed this it's actually not yeah and it works differently anyway like it connects to the Wi-Fi directly so to start off with it's only going to work with uh Google Chrome not Chrome um chomecast mhm oh well maybe I won need a chomecast to start with in the future it will work with anything that you can run Google Chrome on oh [ __ ] I'm not interested then I don't not that I have no way to do that on my TV so never mind you not have an HDMI port I HDMI port I'm not buying another device [ __ ] off who knows it may it may come with the controller [ __ ] better all right you hear that Google

we'll see yeah I mean they're pretty cheap aren't they I know I'm being nitpicky but but I don't know I think and the games so it's going to be $10 a month M for to play older games newer games you just have to buy separately ah so if you're going to be playing like Assassin's Creed or rage or any of the games that they're sort of marketing now those ones you have to buy still do maternal I think uh Destiny 2 actually no Destiny 2 won have to pay for cuz that's going free to play is it yes it's going free to play in August or September yeah so the base game will be free to play and then the DLC you'll buy if you want to continue playing I like the first Destiny all of it with that there's going to be cross saving I don't think

it's don't think they've quite announced crossplatform but they've said cross saves for Destiny 2 so you be you be angry when you save so if you been playing your character on the Xbox and now you want to play the stadia your your save will just copy across that's pretty neat yeah for everyone except PlayStation because they hate now I won't go there didn't work last time I'll stay out so yeah we we'll see I'm I'm interested in it cuz this is cuz it's also Microsoft and Sony are saying this is what they're looking into as well so this is this is the future they streaming yeah well I've been trying out this uh Nvidia GeForce now as I mentioned the other week and I have oh

yeah I've been playing a Civ game uh in that although I have well I was I've stopped because it takes longer to launch than it is to just launch the game so ah so that's put me off so yeah to yeah to log in do that to log on for your 20c move not really worth it yeah launching the game is the major component of playing this Civ game right now so MH also I don't anything you can do to speed that up I think it is it Dan's turn maybe at this point no I'm not going to play it don't worry just ignore it it is my turn and I'm put my foot down all right then but no I'm doing stuff I'm attacking I'm in a fight at the moment fine [ __ ] log on have my turn so that you can have your go and then you can have yours again fighting I'm fighting two people what it

might be one of you guys I don't know I think we would know it's not me either [ __ ] are you even playing the same game as computer how did end up with the most interesting starting starting spot well there was there was another big announcement this week uh and it's from Apple they announced a few things oh one of which is one thing did not go down well yeah it's probably the worst reaction I've seen at one of these events recently well and and everything was going so well up until that point but we're talking about they they announced the new Mac Pros which are [ __ ] insane yeah like Bonkers like it's not a computer that I I would ever purchase I don't think it's just too

much like is this something you'd probably use at work Dan maybe well I mean yes and no I mean I I went and had to look at this because I mean this is this is a [ __ ] spec out machine man but like I just [ __ ] I do everything on my MacBook you know yeah yeah these things are [ __ ] insane like it you can put 1.5 terabytes of ram in these things like it's Bonkers and it's they they start at uh six grand for the base model so this is not it doesn't come with a stand oh wait this is that's for the computer computer right so you've got then they announced this new screen that go that goes with the with the new computer and the new screen it's 6K and apparently it's it's a [ __ ] beautiful

like it looks like you're looking out the [ __ ] window at whatever you're looking at and uh and that's six grand and if you want the matte finish no sorry that's five grand and if you want the matte finish which you know like the old classic mat finish that all the professionals like cuz it's better color reproduction or whatever that's an extra $1,000 because they use lasers to shoot the matte finish onto the screen and look apparently apparently it looks amazing you got to spare $1,000 that's great but unless you want to lean it up against the wall you're going to have to spend another $1,000 on the [ __ ] stand it's a nice stand though I don't know what they were thinking with this like I you can you there's a video which will be in the show notes of the moment

that they announce the pricing and you can hear the crowd go what the [ __ ] what like and he skips past that slide real quick yeah but the thing is I thought about this too but if if you're going to spend six grand on your actual Mac Pro and and you're going to spend another five to six grand on a monitor but then you're obviously just either an eccentric billionaire or a business and you're just writing [ __ ] off so yeah this is not a computer for people at home that's why I think the the fuss about it is a little overblown because you're not going to be buying this people like anyone listening to this show is not buying one of these things yeah exactly they're talking about how

you can you can hook 12 of these monitors up to one of the computers 12 of them that's $122,000 on stands like one thing I thought quite weird is it's 6K not 8K yeah I I I honestly thought that the next progression from 4K was going to be 8K yeah well and it's a it's an odd uh I I don't think there's anything else that that is that resolution right unless they talk about some like $50,000 reference monitors as a comparison because that's the other thing too is and and that should be the clue is that this is not a consumer product it's like a [ __ ] like you know they'll make you know Star Wars episode 9 on these like you're not going to be shooting your home videos and editing them on this

screen so unless you're JJ abs and your home video is Star Wars episode 9 yeah exactly why not well if you've got the money I guess you could Luke but it's just it's excessive it's not it's not it's not for that by I don't think they what they should have done was just not announce the stand yes yeah like just kept that out of it completely yeah or made the monitor $7,000 and just com with why would you cuz I'm yeah cuz what do you meant to do with it buy it that's the thing is that the people who are going to buy this probably do have custom [ __ ] mounts so but but you don't get that context in the presentation so it makes them look like idiots like it's $1,000 for the stand what are you talking about but

like the VIS amount 200 and most people who buy this are probably going to want the Visa M yeah but the thing is like the way that they've put this out is like oh [ __ ] I'm going to have to start saving now and the only thing I can really get is the stand so that's right yeah do I want the new iPhone or do I want to stand for my monitor that I can get in 10 years if I save up now yeah yeah it's weird so I guess none of us are going to buy one no no no the specs on this are stupid like this is not a computer that anybody needs at home like maybe a handful of people man I I remember when I just all I wanted was a G4 you know yeah yeah when you could get into different colors but see the G3 was different colors G4 was

always always this kind of silvery gray for someone like us I think like with the stuff you know cuz we you do a bit of video stuff I do do music stuff and like I just I do some stuff on the computer the MacBook Pro is fine and if you're like a pro suer you want to do like 4K video or or or whatever they've got the iMac Pro which is 5 grand which is expensive but it's got the screen and everything and it's like way more powerful than you need it's beautiful too it's black yeah so it's quite big and the jump between that the and these new Mac Pros is [ __ ] enormous so yeah right I have some breaking news come on Xbox game pass is available for PC now oh wait huh like now now now you can go buy it

and I have to I'll have to buy PC on the way but I'll but okay so what does that include games at the moment um it's yeah it's the pass will include unlimited access to over 100 games on your Windows 10 PC including fors of horizon 4 hello neighbor hellblade we happy you see th St K2 and that's all I've got okay it's breaking news I don't have all the information at the moment well there you go that's pretty neat so I guess you'll be wait if I have Game Pass does that the crossover do I have to buy another game pass cuz I actually have Game Pass now I'm I'm not 100% sure okay I guess that'll all be revealed today I'm sure they'll talk about you have game passation I do because they said I could have it for a dollar for the first three

months so I have it right now right and you will continue having it for three months correct and then cancel it we'll see if I if I use it maybe I won't but I don't know that I to me I I use it all the time and I'm actually paid up for about months or something cuz I'm triing stuff on it yeah yeah you use it obviously yeah but I uh yeah cuz I'm triing the ultimate pass which combines my Xbox live gold and The Game Pass how much is that uh 15 bucks a month interesting that's yeah so it's like five bucks off yep yes not a bad deal it's it is pretty good the more you play the better it is but if you're still just going and playing one game well that's the thing I'm mostly playing games that I purchased so but but it is

nice to be able to try out stuff but if you look at like all the with Microsoft now especially with these ones all their first party games are all released day one on it so yeah yeah it's it's not a bad deal if you ever think about getting one of them not a bad deal oh the other the other Apple news is that uh on the Mac at least iTunes will be going away and they're splitting them up into different apps uh I actually think they already did that well now podcasts get their own app and then movies and stuff end up in um in the TV app I thought podcast was its own app a long time pod was already its own app they're not in the iTunes not on the Mac on the on iOS it is oh man I haven't used I haven't used iTunes on a [ __ ] Mac for 10 years that's the thing I think no one no one has because

right for over 14 over 14s yeah under 10 are good that's right um but the Disney representative who lives in my house uh was quick to point out that Charlie works for Disney yeah that's right he does now unofficially um is that uh cosplays banned from all Disney Parks you're right oh yeah so this is just yeah this is just the continuation of their current policy which is that you allowed to as we discussed last week you're allowed to dress in the spirit of your character but you're not allowed to dress as your character because they don't want people getting confused about who works there and who don't it's only become it's only just become a thing for us because I've never thought about dressing up as any other character but I would consider a Star Wars character

that's why it became used to yeah there was a CU it kind of you know it's been the new news been other words men don't pay attention to anything unless it affects them so now we're paying attention yes y yeah exactly well this week cuz Galaxy's Edge opened people it's been people been talking about it because everybody wants to dress up as the Star Wars characters and then they sell uh robes and things Jedi robes at at the at Galaxy's Edge and apparently the the the rule is you're not supposed to wear them when you're there cuz yes yeah but people have been uh wearing them and testing the Limon of whether they get in trouble and like so on Twitter people were like like some footage of me talking to a Disney staff member while wearing the ropes and they

didn't say anything and like kind like this is weird like just testing the boundaries of the Disney cosplay rules I'll tell you what though the more I see of this thing and the people walking around the Millennium Falcon I I need to go yeah man just looks amazing I'm sure it is did you see the photos of the [ __ ] restrooms the toilets no it's weird cuz they make them look like Star Wars toilets must look like all [ __ ] busted up and shitty and dirty it's like that's kind of we yeah how do you know if it's actually clean or not was I'm sure they I'm sure they know they know cuz it's Disney but it just looks funny like you go in there and it's just this disgusting [ __ ] toilet it's fake it's fake feces all over the

floor yep looking forward to and I heard more about the ride the ride sounds the Millennium Falcon one a lot different than just a normal ride yeah in what way it's not just a well when you go on it's six people ride at a time but you all do things so you have two pilots two Gunners and two Engineers great so we need to do it three times in a row [ __ ] sneaky bastards so you have two people who will fly one can control horizontal and the other control control vertical really and then the gun is gun and then yeah I don't s [ __ ] annoying stuff yes but it's Disney so you can't lose almost certainly no no but there is a score scoring

I'll touch some because I ain't afraid of know ghosts there's not a huge amount here I mean and also I this is being um reported as Ghostbusters 2020 sequel confirmed to bring back original cast members this is the quote Yeah sour has read the screenplay Dan has read it Ernie's read the script Bill Murray has read the script okay so they've read it end of quote Yeah now to be fair to be fair I think every other script that came out Bill Murray was saying I'm not even going to [ __ ] read this I'm not going to do it I'm not going to do it so the fact that he has read it is a good sign but it's certainly not a confirmation well I've read the script for uh for the force awakens so I guess I'll be retroactively uh put in that film somehow yeah that's pretty
