they're going to start logging where you are when you download it I think I don't even know if it's the software itself it's just when you download it they're make a note of the fact that oh you guys are in Australia interesting well I'll save it some time we're in lockdown so we're always going to be here yeah but people got really upset about it and now there's this whole thing of people are like calm down like literally every [ __ ] website in the world does that yeah I assumed everything on the internet knows where I am yeah so I don't think it's not like they're listening to the the article original article made it sound like audacity is now going to be sending all your audio to you know China or something China yeah one of the two

yep and and then they will listen to it and then yeah and then what i' love to get more Russian and Chinese listeners yeah well there was actually uh a developers were looking at making a replacement cuz it's open source so it got basically make a new skin WRA it around audacity and then forchain got involved oh God wait hold on the original developers of an open- Source program were going to sell it and then just make it again well no someone who's not currently on what like yeah not part of the team now like you could just take the code and make your own version of it but he was going to make it but he put up a voting thing and then forain went we want it to be this so got everyone to vote for it and then he just went no I'm

going to call it tenacity oh I see oh I heard they actually the context forchain went in and got very upset and went to his house and started banging on doors and windows to scare him because he didn't go with what they wanted cuz he didn't pick the name that they wanted him to pick for the software yeah that's normal that's a normal thing to do oh they wanted it to be called Sneed aity Y and he said no I'm not going to call it that so they decided to go to his house and harass him yeah okay that sounds like somebody on forchan for sure yeah good idea I mean when when they're not leaking um celebrity nudes they've got to find something to do yeah I mean yeah you're right Dan they do do some good but uh in this

cooking show here in Australia right okay oh okay didn't know that don't watch cooking shows never seen one fine would normally not care except that one day last week every single sponsored post on my Facebook feed was about Melissa you know what she's on my uh Apple TV right now I do know this person she's popping up in my on my Apple TV it's telling me I should watch whatever her show is I have still have no idea what show is let me read you the context of this Dreadful day in Australia we say farewell to Melissa young we say farewell to Melissa y Dreadful day in Australia Dreadful day in Australia we say farewell to Melissa L etc etc always in the same wording except Melissa L is in a different font to everything

else why is she leaving there dozens of these I don't know I think I don't I don't know as far as I can tell she didn't even leave the show this is dozens and dozens and dozens of completely different sponsored links no you're right cuz I just went to the news tab on Google and it's it's nothing particularly interesting so it's not like anything happened to her so weird huh as someone you know become a fan of hers recently could be something to do with I don't know like maybe someone your Social Circle maybe that's still weird judge yeah why is the name in a different font in all of these articles and why are

they all the same wording yeah that's so strange it's probably the one person the sponsoring of the link different picture every time maybe they're doing cuz you know they do AB testing they want they're trying to figure out which one you'll click on and then they'll be like likes italic well I that's right I didn't click on any of them but I did screenshot all of them to show you guys what's been happening other than that what's been happening to Melissa l l I'm going to pronounce that wrong I apologize she's not listening it's fine she might she's she according to this she's [ __ ] gone like we're going to miss her it was a sad day in Australia when she did something I don't know what I watched a movie I I know Luke watched a movie Dan did you watch a movie I

can't believe both you guys watch this movie no I didn't watch it cuz it's $40 here I went to the movies and saw it so you spent more than that you would have yeah spent at least $40 yeah cuz I I I like to drink when I'm at the movies I like to drink when I'm at home but I still won't spend $40 to see black say what Luke's like I can't drink at home [ __ ] off he's drinking right now I bet I can only drink in the dark out in some other place I'm still allowed to leave my house so I went to the movies and I saw it um my thing is it started off a bit slow talking and then I actually started when talking about black when I found it pacing yeah like when it found it pacing I actually started to like it okay that's good I could pick it apart yeah oh there's plenty to pick apart but

you you have to switch your brain off I I feel like more in this even if you do switch your brain off is it good you enjoy it I like I like it yeah yeah it's got some good stuff okay good compared to say Ant-Man it's more is it like better than Antman yeah better than anman it's more like that than the others it's not like you know um how does it compare to Iron Man 3 I'd say it's better than Iron Man 3 okay all right yeah it um I just still think it's a strange time for the Black Widow movie to be made like it absolutely is because it feels like it should have come out when it's set like in between the movies so that it could just have come out when in the in the time they didn't make movies about women then we had to have

2020 and now we have to have movies about women that's the order it happened so that's the order you get it cuz it's set in between Civil War and infinity War it sits in the middle there and so it's just odd not odd it's just like it's got references in there and it's like it should have just come out then in between those two movies like there's like a scene where she's going through a drawer and she's got like the hair dye so she's starting to think about dying a hair blonde and things like that yeah there's some stuff like that and it's just like I'll be honest guys I did not notice that she had different color here in some of the movies oh you didn't [ __ ] the internet [ __ ] did cuz I don't go to women's haircut.com as

much as you guys do clearly you know the URL I I noticed when [ __ ] Hawkeye cut his hair for the last movie because it was the worst haircut I've ever seen on anyone it's good yeah and Jeremy R dreamy there was one thing I I found weird in the movie how they've got like that this sisterly sort of banter backwards and forwards like sort of making fun of each other a little bit but they wouldn't have that I know cuz they grew up indoctrinated and they wouldn't have had this picking on my older sister and stuff like that but I don't it's fun yes and no because I mean this is not a spoiler because this is literally the the beginning of the movie right isn't a spoiler to say a little bit about just the general plot like oh

no with this if people want to see it they can go see it like I didn't know I didn't know this was the plot uh and actually I I really enjoyed it so her family is not her family they were Russian spies put into America as a fake American Family M SP is the yeah but the opening of the film is you see them as a family and so they did have a family dynamic especially for the little sister because she she didn't I mean neither of them really I guess understood quite what was going on but they were like Russian spies in America and then they have to flee the country and that's the opening of the film and because they'd stolen something something and it's [ __ ] great to be honest and and then the the the concept later on of them kind of meeting up again I loved it cuz

it's like they're like this [ __ ] up family that's not a family but they were a family for like 3 years but they're not family like it's it's very interesting I liked it good concept okay sounds good Dave Harbor as the dad he's great oh he's the dad is he yeah he's he's in talks for maybe coming back as Red Guardian he's the Russian equivalent oh sorry the Soviet equivalent of Captain America yep but evidently this is scotlet Johansson's last movie ever MCU oh yeah so even though we there was talk of Black Widow 2 evidently not but I'd be happy if they just they did leave a big hole for a second mie when I don't want to spoil anything too but about this but at the end there's kind of like a gap and

you're like what the [ __ ] and say oh they they're leaving it open to make another movie because there's a big gap there at the end it might be a TV series now like it cuts people on the internet actually there were article like post saying no there's not a scene missing from the end of the movie cuz it literally cuts from something to something else and you're like whoa okay mhm oh interesting but I really liked it I thought performances was good I really like the actress who plays the sister I think she's more believable as that type of character cuz she's she's not like big big but she's like built like a fighter yeah and she like she just look more believable than skyar Johansson I think as a someone who could beat the [ __ ] out of you and so

I'm hoping we actually get to get to see more of her that she comes back you would want to see more of her but that's the thing too is that she's I mean she's not she's attractive but she's not like she's not a traditional you know movie heroin you know like she's not I mean she probably could do that if she wanted to but she's not like that at all she's like she rough beat the [ __ ] out of you [ __ ] out of us yeah she's like like a actual tough girl kind of thing it's that's what I'm saying it's just very she's very believable I liked her a lot like yeah she's not like she makes fun of skylet Johansson for all the poses and stuff like as part of the banter why do you always do that like no one's watching yeah yeah just that thing where

you go down and you flip your hair back yeah what what are you what are you always flipping your hair around for pretty good that's great but I watched that and then I also watched another Marvel thing I watched the latest episode of Loki mhm yeah okay yeah this episode I laughed and I cried there was tears yeah I I'm also very upset there's only one more episode me too but I am and I'm not because it's [ __ ] great and the fact that there's only six means it's going to stay great I'm pretty sure they're not going to drive it into the ground like they going to jump the shark in the last episode it be very surpris division did yeah I want an entire spin-off season just on the other lowkey mhhm I'd watch a whole show just on alligator

[Laughter] Loki so good I I quite like alligator Loki he doesn't he doesn't even do anything and I like him no oh he does mad at one point he bites somebody yeah that's all but there's one bit there's one bit where they bursted they just suddenly in a fight and one of them throws alligator Loki at one of the bad guys and there's a great sequence where they're standing around having a and it cuts to Alligator Loki even though just listening cut between talking cut to him C me up or that bit where they're like walking along in slow motion and it also cuts to him walking in slow motion really well done great show well there's a Hawkeye show there's a Hawkeye show coming and um I forgot about that Florence Pew is in that so

you'll get you get a lot more of her when that comes out yeah you'll there's a leadup to that in uh in Black Widow okay yeah cuz when's that come out that's September I don't know I don't know why I actually forgot it existed until they they talked about Hawkeye in Black Widow and I was like oh that's right you forgot Hawkeye existed I forgot the TV show existed I've got yeah I forgot the TV show I forget Hawkeye exists between each of the films there's also that yeah and I'm oh that's right Hawkeye right Jeremy rener who has his own app own app for what Jeremy Rena has an app yeah the Jer Jeremy Rena exper or whatever it's called no please talk us through that well I've I've only I know it from uh like Drew Gooden who's a YouTuber did a video about it where you

sign up and you pay money and he might might comment on pictures so it's kind of like Instagram if Instagram was just pictures of Jeremy Rena and you could post your pictures and he might comment on them but he might Instagram that only he can look at and you can pay I think to get increased odds of him commenting on your picture Happ to look at your picture it's mostly just Instagram it's like in it's Jeremy renner's Instagram but you pay to look at it yeah I'm not going to pay to look at his Instagram that's great I'm not even looking at his free Instagram assuming he has one I'm assuming he I did hear about the Calm app recently have you guys heard about this I have calm yeah celebrities talk you to sleep yeah some of them so my my supervisor has she

showed me the Matthew mccon one and it's literally Matthew mccon going well you're getting sleepy now why don't you just imagine me talking to you maybe I'm taking off my shirt maybe you're thinking about my muscular body as you falling asleep need to look into this that went into a bit of George W there sure take a little sip of bourbon I don't know why I've got a lisp Now cal does uh Jacob Kia did music for it and oh that uh did T you know Tabitha Brown the the Tik Tok um oh man she's [ __ ] great she started don't know any tick tokers man she just does like she did ve quick vegan recipes but she's got like she's got like a really southern accent and she does she's got like

really interesting fun personality and she's just become she's hot in other words Luke she must be hot she's not she's a mom like she's a no Mom's are hot you heard it here I mean Jenna's going to love editing this episode she's hot no she's m i mean she's not your mom Matt you're allowed to find her hot right what's her name look I Google you're going to be like oh wait no she's Tabitha Brown you're going to be like Oh No actually that's not what it is like no offense to her I I'm trying to be she's great but that's I mean she's the same age as us so you know yeah she's pretty but she's like she's not like a it's definitely not just about that she's just got a great personality see I'm I'm coming across all wrong

no I think you're coming across spot on man it's got great hair oh absolutely yeah she's gotten quite famous now on the car map on on the car map and on I think she's got a TV show coming out and stuff like that and I like it I like it because I feel like like I found her on Tik Tok and was like oh his videos are great like she just teach you how to make some quick vegan meals in a really entertaining way she's got very funny like Southern um affectations and stuff so it's I was like oh she's [ __ ] entertaining and then uh now she's gotten famous it's you know you feel like you were part of it in a way cuz yeah there's two feelings you can have you can either feel like you got her there or you can just decide to never listen to her again

because now exactly yeah she [ __ ] Le us give it away for free like I used to do yeah didn't touch on this somebody who's not a fan of Black Widow is uh Steven dorf no no to clarify he's nothing to do with it he he is in the Marvel MCU though is he oh sort of yeah the old school one right I assume that's all still Cannon isn't it I don't think it is I don't think the I don't think the Blade movies a Canon no no they're always going to be Canon to me yeah he was my favorite character in Blade oh absolutely he was my style icon for several years there in the late 0s early 2000s he he is Canon for the blade m movie he's just all Canon for the Marvel

Universe he's Canon for my life League Udo Kier wasn't your favorite character in Fr I'm speaking English my favorite character was that big blood blob Monster at the End made of CGI yeah yeah so he so Ste he doesn't like black widow for some reason well actually he hasn't seen it no no and nobody asked him he just brought this up in an interview yeah I mean and him who had I I can't stress this enough has been in a Marvel movie Yes says that he's embarrassed for Scarlet Johansson for being in this and he calls us scl says I'm embarrassed for scarlet so it's kind of like they almost he must know maybe he knows it or maybe he's just being

overly familiar but it's like or maybe he just means the color I still hunt out good [ __ ] cuz I don't want to be in Black Widow it looks like garbage to me it looks like a bad video game I'm embarrassed for those people I'm embarrassed for scarlet I'm sure she got paid five 7 million bucks but I'm embarrassed for her yeah that does sound embarrassing getting paid million to be in a fun movie and I'll I'll just interject right now to point out that it just made an absolute killing at the box office when there wasn't even really a box office I'm so confused by what he's trying to say like what embarrass in what way she got got paid a [ __ ] ton of money people love her like I I don't quite get where he's coming from yeah I think I know where he's com from snob

maybe but like that's coming from I can't get cast in a movie anymore the last movie Steven DWF did that can be called a film was probably the power of one which was from 1992 now that's a great movie but 1992 was a long time ago is that the South African apartheid one yeah yeah yeah I remember film with Moran Freeman yeah that's right um he was in True Detective wasn't he yes third season season of that well I'm embarrassed for you he has embarrassed himself I think so honestly I mean the to I mean maybe he doesn't like them but just to to put it like that when like everybody loves these movies like how no one's going to agree with you well I mean no the general public aren't going to be like yeah he's right everyone like look

Scarlet Widow Black Widow Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow is probably my least favorite character in the Marvel films I I find her very forced and a lot of the time I'm not entirely sure why she's there uh yeah I mean like that's not her fault that's just they absolutely not good to do with her and also she doesn't have superpowers does she which well but that's what I mean that's just I mean if you watch this movie she does obviously but they never why did you say it like that Matt I mean cuz she does things that like being sexy as superpower cuz you said you used your she's sexy voice what I mean is like she does something and it's like if Captain America does that you go oh he's a super soldier but when Scarlet Johansson oh not Scarlet Johanson when Black Widow does

it you're like why is she able to survive that uh yeah you know what I mean I mean and then you forget cuz who cares yeah yeah usually to remember it's a movie was it us or was it someone else's podcast that I was listening to where they were talking about the level of survival that superheroes have is whether they mean to get hit that hard don't mean to get hit that hard that's how it works in um Justice League yeah yeah like if if you don't know something's falling on you it'll Crush you but you could use your strength to break through something twice that big like in in in uh Z Justice League when when Aquaman intentionally smashes through a building to fight a monster it's fine but if if a building falls on him because someone

else pushed it then he needs to be rescued cuz he yeah yeah why is Aquaman able to do any of that he's just a fish my favorite part of that movie is where they had to like flood that tunnel they were in so he could even be in the scene was like I want to know how long he was just treading water outside all right yeah it's my time to shine here I go cow buer [ __ ] me I've been playing a lot of Assassin's Creed Val Harlot this week ah me too I've moved the Xbox back into the bedroom wink yeah wink wink is that a euphemism just yeah I [ __ ] the Xbox just when I'm enjoying

something moved to the bedroom I've moved my Kindle back into the bedroom I haven't read on my Kindle for years I'm back on books yeah I'm back on legitimate books I keep wanting to go back and play Assassin's Creed but mass effect effect just keeps pulling me back in cuz I really want to go back and play Odyssey again and do little DLC there Atlanta and Atlantis Atlanta you're in Georgia oh yeah been watching the Housewives with Atlanta to the casino cuz I want to go do that and then I also want to play V city of Atlanta why isn't there a short film of that already oh it's a future rabber joke oh is it yep and I also want to go back to Valla so I'll go to Ireland mhm yeah I'm

enjoying it I I will say though I do feel like a bit of a [ __ ] like you are a viking I know but like at one point like I understand raiding Army encampments you know military outposts but at one point somebody says oh this person's been doing this thing that I don't like and uh and my character was like well let's go burn their Farm I'm like I'm not going to [ __ ] go and burn someone's Farm like cuns are you well no if you want to progress in the game you will then I know I did man I did to be clear I went and burn about yeah I did feel bad about it I didn't want to kill all this sheep but I did yeah I know what you mean I like it they're not I mean they're not likable characters and some of them are even

some later on or I don't know what you're up to but at some point you meet people who are even worse like oh really great yeah even worse counts makes you look good but yeah great game I've it is it's very good see I was actually really liking the direction that Assassin's Creed was going but now they announced what's next and I'm not liking it it was inevitable it's so so they're going for like a like a game as a service so it's going to be an online thing and yeah yeah I don't know why I just the Assassin's Creed series become good again yeah it took them a while but they really got there so they want this to be like Grand Theft Auto and fortnite oh yeah please don't make it like fortnite everything has to be play online and well I mean that as fun I mean yeah

I can play online fine that's what you need that's what you want from me I guess but no but it's the whole playing with people cuz like Grand Theft Auto is still just printing bunny for Rockstar yeah but I don't want to play with people the thing I'm liking about these games is that I can just Potter around this world and not have to worry about other people like real people you know fake Greek people how how do you they're not making money off you years after they've stopped working on the game that's not true they've released DLC that they just made at the same time as the [ __ ] normal game they are but we'll wait and see I I could sort of see if maybe it's going to be sort of a hub and then you still they still release like single player components

and you go into the Animus and you go off on a different story I could sort of see that and then you come back to Central world it's a bit like uh Call of Duty's doing at the moment so they've got war zone which is their fortnite Battle Royale type game but from there you actually go to their single player campaigns as well nobody wants an Assassin's Creed Battle Royale and by nobody I mean nobody our age yes yeah but that's the money isn't with us the money is with the fort nighters is that true I feel like I've got more money than a kid uh yes you do but you're going to buy the game I'm not spending it on this the kids theid in game can I get the $5 to get this can I get the $10 they're the

ones that just keep giving them money we we give them money once yeah and go thank you I'm going to play your game and then I will uninstall it and hopefully it's on Game Pass yes I don't have to give you anything I just play it yeah XX my money like Xbox that's crazy we're saving a fortune on it but they're actually probably making more from other people who maybe got one Microsoft game a year yeah so for me I'm saving hundreds of dollars with Game Pass I'm probably technically giving them more money than I was before but that's fine that's fine they deserve it I'm okay with it I'm paying for Game Pass and I'm only playing Assassin's Creed games that are on I was going to say yeah

so oh well uh we've got a listener has written in apparently attempted to write in several places and we suck and we don't check things but Craig insists that we play valheim I Know Dan you've already had a go at it but I mean it ran like [ __ ] on my machine so I mean that was kind of what was holding me back mostly I enjoyed the game otherwise I it's PC only still as far as I can tell so that's a little bit of a barrier I got a PC over there in the corner where I'm looking but it's not plugged in I don't use it so I could if you guys were up for it but well I I can't Matt it it does does not run properly for me it was so frustrating and Luke doesn't have any achievements so he's not interested but if it comes out on Xbox it comes out Xbox I'm all in yeah so and I guess it

might it's been it's a little surv I think because you've been talking we've been talking about Conan so much I think that's why he's he wrote in he's like just play [ __ ] valheim all right I might get it because my computer will run up fine hey my computer Luke computer's got pretty lights on it I haven't even switched over to my new one yet which is even better I've said that every week what are you doing he's I get distracted by playing Mass Effect he's too drunk I go out to the movies I get drunk I come home I watched something this week but I haven't seen the last episode so I'm reluctant to even talk about it but I am really liking it and I feel old for watching it but I thought now I'm a man in my 40s it's time to watch some

British crime drama so I've been watching broad Church oh oh it's really good but I haven't seen the final episode of the first season I'm one episode from the end so all right and I I assume I know what happens because theyve pretty much set it up but uh no it's a great show yeah it really is three seasons I think right like yeah I I've never watched it but I do know of it and I do know that people have said it is quite good it's not for me though quality drama quality mystery drama we've been watching uh that new Netflix one called murder in Cork or something oh yeah we had that on yeah yeah Sophie a murder in West cork yeah that was good it's interesting yeah yeah that was good I just watched the Yorkshire Ripper oh yeah yeah that was

good I didn't you practically nothing about York shipper actually that on Netflix what is that on yeah yeah it might just be called the Ripper or it might be called the Yorkshire Ripper Yorkshire pudding Yorkshire Ripper that's it Yorkshire pudding yeah sorry got it wrong it's a cooking show it Stars Melissa young and Tabitha Brown yeah as lesbians oh it's a documentary is it oh sorry yes it's like Sophie and KY cork oh you're being smart about the lesbians um or you're asking me about the Ripper what I don't know doing a goof or what it is a documentary this B the rails yeah it is a documentary yeah about lesbians but the funny thing about the

Ripper is that um and this this is not a spoiler doesn't give anything really hilarious thing no man he was a [ __ ] he really was a [ __ ] and the cops just didn't know who he was for years and years and years but um when they finally did catch him he was just a normal bloke who was a serial killer occasionally on the weekends and everyone was really disappointed just his hobby yeah like he wasn't he was he had a wife and kids and a job and was just a normal bloke but then just occasionally killed people and people just really wanted him to like be a cannibal and like you know like he just wasn't he just wasn't interesting at all yeah he wasn't like super good looking like the uh The Night Stalker or you know there just nothing yeah Ted bunny there's nothing

about did you you watched the Sophie the murder in West cork right did you you watch all of it you well yeah actually I wanded in in and out a little bit had it on and I I saw bits and pieces bit where so uh I it's not really spoiler it's like a case that's so old but there's a like the the the woman who was murdered the son is french guy and he was like he's been pushing for the French government to have a trial for the guy that that they pretty sure did it mhm without him there cuz he's not going to he's not going to come over for the trial obviously why would he but so they had a the trial without him there where and and they're talking about how the French justice system is completely different to most other places that we'd be familiar with where they don't have a

jury they just they call it you have to present like a bouquet of evidence right and then that's the most French thing I've ever heard and then the magistrates will just decide if he's guilty wow okay so they got all these Witnesses in and they presented this evidence and then the the three magist like yeah sounds like he's probably guilty uh we found him guilty and then the wow so if he ever comes here right which he won't which he definitely won't now no and but then the guy the sun came out and he was saying to the camera I just found it really interesting because he he was like well he's guilty he did it he killed my mother the judge said so and I was like well I mean they found reality works but the way he said it was like like do they actually think about these

things differently over there cuz that justice system makes no sense to me like there's no jury they just go in and then well you probably did it so it's making a little bit a little bit of sense cuz it's not sort of cuz you got to think with a jury it's just like Reasonable Doubt and everything but sometimes it could just come down to how charismatic the defense attorney is and something that's taking that out of it so it's just his evidence but then that's the opposite out but then it's the opposite like yeah I mean he was like I mean this one's particularly unique right because he literally said no I'm not my lawyer's not coming I'm not coming we're not going to put on a defense so of course he was going to be found guilty but I just found it and

nickname 10 years later they just still call him spoof no one knows that there's any double meaning to it yeah and one day he's going to Google it and his little tear is going to run down his cheek yeah yeah the uh film I made in college called my grandfather's funeral that you may remember um there was a in it you did uh there was a a cameo by a a big fat Asian man who uh we nicknamed the Caribbean chicken boy oh yeah yeah and he was wearing a a t-shirt with a Caribbean Chicken on it which I designed and printed for the purposes of that film and years and years later I was doing a different film and I needed some some other humorous walk-in character and somebody said oh

do you remember that guy I I still know him do you want to use him I said yeah perfect and then so I got on the phone with him this say years later and he goes do you want me to bring that T-shirt and I'm like you still have that t-shirt he's like mate my nickname to everyone is Caribbean Chicken Boy wow yeah but also did you want him to play the same character well in the end yes he now is no but he's not an actor right he was just a friend of someone so he doesn't know one role thought know how to do one thing the guy who works at the Caribbean chicken shop yeah that's great he kept the T-shirt that's adorable mhm he kept the t-shirt and encouraged people to continuously call him the C

chicken Boyen boy it's a bit of a long nickname I did I I got recognized at a [ __ ] party with somebody who had seen Necro some this guy goes you're that necrophiliac and I was like to be clear everybody I am not I did play one in a film no you cannot see the film no one see the film I've got a copy if anyone wants to see it right in podcast at multiple nerd and Craig will tell you I don't check that mail so you'll never get a reply um I was on the phone when I was at work when I was working at HMV I was on the phone with Dave and this was when I hadn't seen him for about a year and um

piece of probably just s in the 60s yeah no Matt no no I will not have you rid on this parade Indie goes to the moon to the moon so yes that's the plot of Indie five I don't know it's just like oh we've probably discovered the plot how how is that the pl it's called Raiders of the Lost moon or the plot of Indie 5 is that Indie goes to the New York in the 60s and sees a poster that says welcome home Armstrong Aldren Collins directed by Steven Spielberg like w it's not actually it's directed by James Mangold but I mean if if the poster said Aldren Collins and Armstrong dead on the mo maybe that would be a better indication of the direction the film is going there's no way they're going to go back to space or aliens or

anything like that they're not going to go back to that wouldn't they wouldn't it'll be something religious because the two that were the best were that unless I'm missing something about this it tells us nothing other than it's in the 60s and this is probably New York they don't even know that for sure it just looks like it's probably New York I don't know I feel like they've blown this on the headline um have you also seen that they've reclassified the Indie movies man did you did you not know until right now how L you pronounced the word reclassified yeah reclassified well cuz they've gone back and they've yeah cuz they were family movies when we were growing up yes what are they now tiple of Doom is terrifying when he RS out some guy's heart it's now

like a mature age I told you and it's incredibly racist as well it is I told you I've rewatched it not long ago and I didn't notice this when I was a kid and I think Dan you pointed out it could have been because it was cropped to 43 when I watched it as a kid but there's a sequence where you know he goes in he gets the stones and he turns around to leave and he hears a whip and then a child going and he goes probably should help those young children and then he looks up and there's [ __ ] the skins of children stretched out up the top like they're skinning them and yep I'd never noticed that as a kid I was like I said on the rewatch I was just like [ __ ] hell mhm yep that was a family movie back in the day yeah and but see it's half that and half wacky onliners and

dumb set pieces and a fast talking little boy like that movie is tonally confused mhm yeah there's some weird stuff in there there were no jokes in Raiders of the last dark like there were funny moments because of dramatic irony but he wasn't wise cracking he was whip cracking Last Crusade had more jokes yes that was legit funny but like because I think they were backpedaling on Temple of Doom yeah no ticket do you know what used to really yeah I love that I love every joke in that movie even the corny dumb ones um do you know what I was a kid what used to really irritate me about Temple of Doom and I don't know why it bothered me so much right the

opening title of that movie mhm comes up when Willie Scott's doing her nightclub I used to F forward through the song every yeah yeah awful right awful such a homage to Busby bigie that no one was asking for it's just like Spielberg wanking over old movies but the the text was behind her they had like superimposed her so that it looked like it was in 3D space behind her so she was blocking part of the title and as a kid like I just loved that title so much the Indiana Jones writing and I was like why' you put it behind her like I don't want to see her yeah I hated her as a kid and as I watched it as an adult I hate her just as much because she's insid I think we we talked about this

when I did the rewatch too but my favorite I love out loud when you know they flee China in the plane and then the plane crashes and they don't know where they are cuz he's been asleep right and they're in a r in the river and then Willie or or short R goes where are we and then Indie looks up and just sees a brown person and goes India India yeah and then maybe that guy lives in China yeah yeah or like maybe you're in Bangladesh you know like yeah and then he puts his [ __ ] hands together and the uh the [ __ ] Namaste like if I did that to every Indian person on a encounter they'd be like [ __ ] you mate yeah what are you doing mate yeah it's got a lot of that kind of stuff in it

mhm but still it's it's still good it's just not as good it's got good stuff the mine cart Chase is fantastic yeah yeah I would say it has the best cinematography out of all of them mhm it has a different look it might even be filmed in wider wide screen than the others too it's just the scope is beautiful I feel like Last Crusade has like the most like boring look of the two I think it's a great movie but it's it's shot the in the most boring way just the most practical way exactly yeah yeah yeah no lot going on yeah yeah and a bit too much Reliance on some special effects here and there that the older ones didn't have CU they knew they couldn't get away with it but they had that they had that mid90s confidence by the third one oh like when the when

the plane crashes through the tunnel yes and then does not hold up yeah hold up didn't even look that good back then yeah it looks good enough like that was fine you got as a movie you know what I'm thinking though I was I was I was playing uh Assassin's Creed Valhalla this week and I'm standing in the water at one point and I'm marveling at how Flawless video games portray water now like the fluid Sims are just amazing but then I remembered playing aliens V predator and what year did that come out like 9798 right yep and that had translucent water and I remember thinking to myself at the time that looks like real water it cannot ever get any better than this video games finally just look like real life

now oh but they didn't there must be there must be a name for that phenomenon and if somebody hasn't written an academic paper on it one of us should about how video games always look as good as you think it's possible to look like I always remember Skyrim being the best looking game sure but actually when you play that now it's definitely not as good-looking as games from The Last 5 Years I remember there were various jumps like I remember Doom I remember seeing Doom the first time and being like Oh my God and then I remember seeing um Quake which is actual 3D but then I remember Dave had that 3D effects card that we all had and the first time I saw that yeah the first time I saw that at his house I was like

oh my God like how is this possible and then um remember Soldier of Fortune cuz you could shoot people in the dick I mean you could shoot them in the other body parts as well but you can shoot different why would you why would you CU in up to that point in games when you shot someone they just it it was always the same like you hit them and they removed some health yeah exactly whereas in Soldier of Fortune you could shoot them in the arm and their arm had come off and it was like oh my God like yeah the game knows where I shot you and know yeah you just shoot everybody in the dick cuz my favorite was rise of the Triad you could shoot rise of the Triad well no you couldn't shoot them in the dick sometimes when you shot them only once they would grab their dick but it's

still yeah and they would go please no no but I don't think that was targeted I think that had nothing to do with where you actually shot were they holding their dick or were they begging now that I guess I don't remember I think in my mind yeah they were holding their dick as well I just always assumed that's where I shot them that's what I was no no I think they at least doubled over in the middle and the middle is where the dick is oh my God this does not look good at all no that's uh you can't go back oh this looks like your poor man's Doom it's the build engine I think the Duke 3D engine when I um for me it was uh Duke Nukem 3D yeah right that just turned it for me I was like [ __ ] hell well I even go back if you remember uh what was the game golden eye oh yeah

yeah yeah I played that game multiplayer I played that I could play through that first level in like under a minute on the hardest difficult plan just so so much like me with Wolfenstein I thought it looked amazing back then yeah it was just blobs on the screen remember the first crisis oh yeah golden ey is awful the first crisis came out and the first Far Cry as well mind blowing beautiful Far Cry looks [ __ ] awful now yeah but at the time it was like [ __ ] at the time yeah I bought a new video card to play nights of the Old Republic which I can now play on my phone yeah oh yeah well that's another game that at the time I thought looked beautifulred yeah and now you look at it even you look at the sequel and it's just really this is I play this that's

what I thought was [ __ ] photo realistic at the time but that's the thing you can't be realistic if you want to not age I still think day the tentacle and the games from that period look amazing and they've done redone versions that I can't play I want to play those pixel art games because they never age because they weren't state-ofthe-art at the time I don't think we're going to see jumps anymore like that now I think now like if you look at from difference with Xbox One to series X it's not huge I don't think oh yeah yeah like I think I think Assassin's Creed Odyssey is [ __ ] beautiful but the frame rate on it on my Xbox anyway compared to Valhalla it it's it's like night and day like if you go back you play play like if you literally

jump between them you play a bit of valhal jump to Odyssey you'll be like oh God cuz it's frames like it makes a big difference so it's going to be things like that I think yeah it's it's going to be the frame rate um the load times that's what we're going to see changes in but the actual what it looks like I don't think it's going to like cuz what are they going to start selling 8K TVs soon that's the next thing isn't it I think you reason you can get them but I don't think I don't know why you'd want one at the moment well I say that about I think we said that about 4K as well oh you'll never see the difference but you get one anyway eventually yeah cuz that's all that sort of is available to get to a point where man there was a lot of people who were really slow on the

uptake of HD yes yeah because what do we need I was working 720p was all you needed up to 32 in so yeah that's right I mean I was working in broadcast television at the time and we still had to do everything in 43 safe for years for a decade after there was HD because there was so many people just refusing to upgrade their Telly I don't want a rectangular one I want a square one yeah that weighs a ton well I want bars at the top and the bottom or the sides like you won't you don't oh shut up um speaking of the nextg thing which we just mentioned uh which of three nextg update is coming out I'm so pleased to hear this because I never finished Witcher 3 never never even really played that much of it played

enough of it great to know that it was great and then just got distracted by something else and I've been thinking recently of going back and now I will wait hold off a little bit until yep I'm looking forward to it because I I own Witcher 3 twice yes cuz I did a re uh collection gave you extra achievements so I purchased that and I haven't played it yet so I'm going to wait till they do the update and then I'm going to be able to give that a place I don't have to buy it again cuz I already gave the money years ago very good and it's also getting some DLC inspired by the TV show whatever that means I don't know what that that's interesting because the TV show is based on the books and they've made it very clear it's not based on these video games yeah it's interesting

so I don't I don't know what that means whether you just be able to play as Henry caval or I I think it's just there might be like some sort of side quest or something that sort of ties in I don't think it's going to be like a main plot point or anything like that but I'm yeah I'm I'm going to play it I'm going also going to watch it cuz that which season 2 comes out in December you guys have a look at this trailer I know you did yes and I I want to go back and watch the first season again and I still say that one thing that could make the entire series much better it's just let us know when what year it is yeah I agree just let us know how much time has passed yeah cuz yeah I think everyone gets confused with that yennefer's easy

because yeah hot or not hot but well well I think she was hotter before she same yeah same you guys are yeah she was a hot Hunchback and then but even after she changed there still then she just became every other girl who hangs out at the ivy I was more of a Tris fan it was Tris wasn't it yes Y no the redhead that's Siri oh yeah serilla uh Tris is well she's not a redhead Luke in the TV show red not the TV show oh no yeah no but the whole thing with yennefer which was not my pick in the game well that's I mean did I have to it's his his canonical partner who he is tied to by yeah but not in my game by the power of a genie so actually

[ __ ] and was [ __ ] yeah those ancient GRE actually I went to go back and play Odyssey but that was like the last game I ever brought on dis and I just gave my sister my one of my old xboxers and I gave her that game so I can't play it now unless I buy it again problems there really should be a solution into that shouldn't there like a code on the back of the [ __ ] box that says I bought this just let me download it now like they were going to do what how many years ago when they releasing the Xbox begged them not to no you can't have the my Xbox connect to the internet once every 24 hours saying beg them not to is is being too generous they harass them threaten their lives yeah exactly yeah like it was going to be a thing that when I finished playing a game I

could give it to one of you guys I just transfer the license to you done there might be a small fee involved I'd be okay with that yeah I'll try all right look I'll play it but it's going to cost you all right I'll give you $5 to play it hey look you going to you going to buy a new Switch I want to if it's going to get game say yes you hate it no you hate the switch if it comes from Game Pass Xbox game pass or but no the the new Switch that they've released there is no point in buying this if you've already got one well I mean it looks nicer I do pretty yeah it's got a nicer screen that's basically it and a and a yeah a yeah it's bigger nicer screen that's really it it's not even a lot bigger it goes from 6.2 to a

7 in size screen is better but that's it it's not it's not a like Nintendo switch Pro or anything classic Nintendo they don't care about giving you [ __ ] more RAM and better graphics and that kind of stuff like no it's fine he's just a nice little upgrade like I think people will buy it anyway and they know that I think the pro is still coming but just not yet I think the pro might be next year Pro they're not going to call it that it's Nintendo they called this one the Nintendo switch OLED model like y the [ __ ] you couldn't give it a [ __ ] nice if you've already got a switch you don't need this one buy it if you want it listen don't listen to Luke if you want an if you want an OLED switch buy it

save your money cuz I announc the pro and get that one and go buy one go on I'm going to buy one just to spite Luke good no I'm not I'm not October 8th go get one just borrow his he doesn't use it I I put there's switch there's a switch in my house if I want one oh that's right yeah yeah was playing Animal Crossing I put in my bag to take to work and I'm going I'm going to play this at lunch and then it just sits on my bag and then when I finally go okay I'm going to play it now I take it out in the battery dead and I go oh well that's how long do you leave it in there um cly hours my bag for months yeah I was going to say there's no way it's dead after 4 hours in your bag unless there's something wrong with your switch no it's it'll sit there for

months and when I finally go yep we're going to play it now no here's a question and then I'll get home I'll charge it and then I'll buy a game here's a question why why is it right that I have I've got a phone yeah right and this phone is almost 2 years old now and the battery is degraded to the point where it it just doesn't it couldn't really make it it can make it through a full day but it's it's tough if I use it too much during the day it's not going to make it through a full day anymore right batteries deg grade over time why is it that I can get my [ __ ] Nintendo DS out of that cupboard that I've not touched been satting there 12 months why can I pull that out open up turn it on and it's got full charge I can play what is if you still had if you still

had your Nokia 3210 in a Cupboard you could pull that out turn it on and it'll just still have battery life what is that why is that a thing like um it's not the same I'm pretty sure they do it on purpose they do it on purpose so you've got to buy another one in two years on this is obviously completely different I'm I'm being a little cous but well you are and you aren't because I remember when um reading that uh back in the 1800s right when they first invented the light the light Globe right they could essentially make one that lasted for decades and they were ready to manufacture it and then they went well wait we don't want one to last for decades we want them to last a year at the most yeah buy why would we make something that people buy

and then never need again you reminded me of something uh cuz you said globe and I watched a video about the Flat Earth the did you know Ian maybe we've talked about this before did you know that that believing the Earth is flat is actually new they didn't think the world was flat that's a myth no yeah that for I think for a very brief period some people thought but there's this R there's this this misconception that like [ __ ] Christopher Columbus was trying to prove that the Earth was the world everybody looking for trade Roots yeah everybody knew it was around they have they've known it was around for thousands of years until now and then for some reason yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah in the last people on the internet who

believe in that [ __ ] are dumber than the [ __ ] Neolithic [ __ ] step dwellers yeah and it was this video about had astrolabs and we very very sure yeah now they for a time they thought the Earth was round but was the center of the solar system rved it they had to reallys the behavior of the universe before they figed out what was going on there but they still knew it was around yeah they still knew that if someone walked off and you watched them eventually he wouldn't be able to see them anymore yeah yeah yeah it's just interesting was this whole thing about like what is it now that makes it makes people do this and like that video of uh the Youtube video that I think was quite famous where the person spraying

the water from the hose and you can see the rainbow and they're going what are they putting in the water what's that doing there why is that rainbow my God and it's just like oh [ __ ] like you don't know anything like how do you how has that happened how is there a person in this modern world that doesn't understand what a [ __ ] rain why a rainbow appears when you spray water like oh it's it's it's scary that there are people like that out there and it's too many people out there like that yeah and the thing is the thing that irritates me the most um is when these people and to be be honest this wasn't said to me by a flat earther but this was said said to me by somebody who believed in the [ __ ] reptilians oh
