will have sex they can't do they the stupidest thing that they've done which I don't think they really understand is that they've made cardboard heads that can only support one person and or if there's any sudden movements they will also crush and I'm sort of like we're talking about like the fittest humans on Earth I'm pretty sure they know how to have sex standing up MH [ __ ] upside down I'm looking at these beds and I'm like okay that's kind of ingenious but also come on Japan what is this what Nanny state is this let the Olympic also look at the hold on hold on do we know that the cardboard beds are anti- intercourse technology or is this just Japanese Ingenuity anti technology

the name of this episode This is actually to stop them having Seck or to try and stop them from having sex that's so weird they they they want to stop them sort of mingling the athletes just in case yeah they start spreading Co I love that they had a meeting about this like we need ideas guys how can we stop these athletes from [ __ ] each other yeah and somebody was like what if the beds literally couldn't support more than one person looking at this carpet though in the picture that looks like it'll give you very bad rug burn as well so that's true and that bookshelf a cozy looking Duna you could yeah you could put that down you could turn that bookshelf into a butterfly [ __ ] swing pretty easily I think look I I'm pretty sure they're going to work

out how to do it and and because they're not giving out condoms in a year's time they're going to be giving birth to these super they're not saying condoms are banned they're just not giving them out for free why were they giving it to them in the past maybe that's why they had this problem the first they were yeah they were giving them away because they were [ __ ] each other silly because you're only there to compete in one 15 minutes you're on in a twoe trip right you're [ __ ] sexy everyone else is sexy sexy yeah yep all right yeah that's that's sort of a well-known thing that yeah that evidently they get together and it goes down wow all right so they've been giving out condoms at

the Olympic Village for years that's hilarious so I've I've found an article that debunks that and says that these beds are just meant to be environmentally sustainable and that they can be re um recycled after the Olympics so that they're not just making a whole bunch of furniture that gets thrown away but the sex thing you know it rings true as well I just I I'm just going to point out that Luke's often correct so mhm here's a picture of Boris Johnson in one of the no sex beds oh this is why no one's [ __ ] me it's bed I still find it weird the toy the Tokyo Olympics they're still the 2020 Olympics yeah they're holding on to that aren't they I think it's they can't reprint a whole bunch of hats exactly it's all that merchandise that

they've already done all that marketing they would if there would have been a meeting for that too m yeah a lot of money to sort go and redo it all and I just want to point out this is this says athletes competing at the Tokyo Olympic and paralympic games par Olympics I think that that may stop not having the bed there that may hamper the par Olympics a little bit are you kid if I had a wheelchair everywhere I went well I'm just like it depends on so we're going to have we're going to have two problems we're going to have a bunch of superhumans telling me no one's ever straddled you while you in your wheelchair I am not you I probably shouldn't make a joke about paralympic athletes having paraplegic children cuz

they can beat the [ __ ] out of us as well oh yeah yeah yeah cuz that's not how that works is it no and do you know how I get paralyzed my kids will be paralyzed how they work I'm pretty sure that's that's how Evolution Works isn't it yeah it's like if I dye my hair my kids will have whatever hair color I've dyed it that's Evolution some some people do think that way I know that remember I've had I've had vicious arguments with them remember that thing about how like the thumbs are going to be like a meter long cuz everyone's playing video games keep yeah I don't want my no thumbs being longer isn't a good thing for video games I'll tell that to Evolution yeah I mean no around the time of the Xbox One it it would have been helpful have much that been great I'll be honest you had they made

those ergonomic for huge apik creatures yeah yeah Steve B that's why I use them for racing games sometimes cuz they released new ones well well they release yeah new ones for the Xbox one so you go back and relive the old days huge controllers retro style yeah all right they they're only good for maybe like a racing game or something something where you don't need to push buttons that you only need to pull a trigger and steer I remember that comic where they're like playing Halo with the [ __ ] giant controllers on their laps that was great they didn't like it wasn't brought up or anything it's just in the comic they're talking about Halo and they've just got these [ __ ] giant controllers so

funny H maybe this is a good time to talk about the steam deck yeah I am so excited for this scene I must say I'm interested yeah I'm interested you can get yours this Christmas Dan we have to wait till next year what this does mean 400 bucks is that I can just be a Mac guy now like I'm comt to play PC and then just play PC games on this mhm which will run much better than they do on my shitty Windows Surface laptop well your surface is not designed to play games I don't know what it's designed for man cuz it can't play videos in [ __ ] SN either it's designed for email it's very pretty though it is so pretty but this steam deck I just when they came out and announced it and I've been looking into

it and I'm actually sort of happy that we can't get one in a St to next year cuz what I'm looking at this for is not for steam I'm looking at this for getting windows inor and then getting Xbox like they on it Xbox games on there so I can get achievements yeah what uh okay so does this thing plugg into a TV like what can it can you can get a dock for it it's basically a switch it's a switch that runs steam yep I mean that's pretty [ __ ] rad evidently they are losing a lot of money on this yeah I saw that I saw that the the price point was a pain a point of pain well I mean they decided what it would be surely well they they knew they had to be competitive I think that's what the point was that like

they're like we're gonna have to suck it up on this and but who are their competitors I mean this I mean I would never consider buying a switch I would 100% buy this yeah but if this thing was like $1,000 you like you're not going to get people buying it people be like whereas at this price might as well buy a p I think it's quite surprising that it's this price and it'll get people so it's going to be about 400 bucks I'm assuming that's American which might 600 bucks for us yeah for for for the the smallest version of it which really that's the smallest one is pretty small I would be going a bigger model yeah yeah cuz you don't want to have to put you don't want this in your pocket you want it in your bag so it doesn't matter how big it is really what's what size is the

largest um I think there's the smallest one yeah 512 so only half a terabyte that's AIG screen too right oh fastest storage too it's like faster a faster sist that's weird yeah it's basically just think of it like you're buying a PC so the screen and everything doesn't change it's just storage that UPS Sur price okay interesting uh if I was to order one now I wouldn't get it till quarter 3 2022 2022 quarter 3 and they're not even making announcing them they're not even available in Australia to pre-order yet I think I've missed the boat 1200 1280 by 800 screen I think that's the that's what's happened I've I've waited too long I'm actually quite okay with waiting for this cuz yeah I do want to and what I've been reading people are saying that yes you will be able to just

install Windows on it you will be able to sort of get game pass on there and that's perfect for me but I'll let other people deal with how that's going to work battery life in this sucks oh I'm sure it does I'm sure it does depending on your use it's between 2 to 8 hours eight hours will never happen the switch isn't much better than that let's be honest the I mean the switch isn't bad but it's it's not great yep I I cannot wait for this it's going to be amazing I can get achievements when I'm just at work hey I'm going to have lunch maybe this won't be good for you no it's actually probably going to be really bad but I need it I want it Luke you're not allowed to play it while riding to work I'm making that rule right now I used to be able to read a book while I was

driving around in my goer what Matt probably doesn't know about the Gopher the [ __ ] is a gopher oh you never saw the Gopher no it was my Mobility wheelchair thing so it was like you know a rascal is probably what you know him of in America you know that thing that um Christopher re got around in at the end of his life the Walmart thing yeah I've seen those I had one of them in high school and I was able to CU that wasn't really fast when I was going up to shops or something I could actually read a book while driving on the footpath it went incredibly slowly yes all right that makes sense yeah I met you obviously after that you were you were somewhat mobile when I met you cuz the day I met you you ran to kyl's door and said Dick's about to bash

someone and then oh I remember that yeah and then we went and and he did he beat the [ __ ] [ __ ] out of that kid and that's how we all became friends dick didn't bash many people it took a lot to piss him off but when he bashed you you got [ __ ] bashed yeah yeah out of all of you guys that I when I met you guys like why did he pick him I couldn't he should have fought any other one of you well it wasn't so much him picking him it was he was our champion he was our designated fighter if anyone made fun of any of us except maybe like like I say Tim or Gareth like I wouldn't fight them either let's be honest was it also maybe some of the female part of it starting the talking no don't get me St don't get me starter than those [ __ ] what

women speaking of women I watched a film this week go on it's called Black Widow you heard oh did you think I [ __ ] loved it yeah pretty good I thought it was really good yeah yeah I mean look who was asking for this not a soul and yet here it is [ __ ] good it's directed by an Australian it's a bit upsetting that it came it's bit upsetting it came so late it should have just been after Civil War I not I don't know why it wasn't but uh Stella job Stella job fell apart a little bit at the end it just turned into your typical Marvel people fighting in the air um and you do have to switch your brain off for some of the um yeah the kind of decisions that characters make what some of the plot points I was like oh fine

whatever yeah yeah okay we're going with it we're going with it yeah like yeah yeah that's what you do need to do that with movies sometimes actors were great the characters were fantastic is it Florence Florence Pew yes yes Pew [ __ ] great her character was hilarious [ __ ] David Harbor and she's coming back for Hawkeye and I'm looking forward to that well I'm looking forward to her I'm not looking forward to Hawkeye I'm looking forward to her you see how I mean about her she's kind of I think a bit more believable in that role than yeah she looks like yeah exactly yeah I like it mind you I do I I did realize in this that Scaro she does do a good job of this oh mean there's not a lot to her character and they they have kind of also given her

some they're thrown her a bone now yeah the decisions made were not made by her generally speaking and I like that that that you know the sister makes fun of her for doing the poses and all that kind of stuff yeah but then I love that the sister does the pose later and goes yeah so good one thing I didn't understand it's it's a film about Russian characters and not a soul in the [ __ ] film is Russian except for one actor Olga kuralenko who doesn't have any lines you know what I saw her name in the opening credits and I was like oh I like her and then I completely forgot was in the movie until she was in the movie and I was like oh of course that's but I'm even looking at her face half burned off and then I'm like oh [ __ ] that's her that's kuralenko from James

Bond yeah the the model yeah for model now actress like beautiful Russian actress yeah hidden in a big [ __ ] mech suit yeah mhm good honor I mean yeah I want to see more from it yeah me too yeah we scar but she said she's out now yes she's pass the Tor I'm I'm okay with that I'm okay with it I'm okay with the replacement the one other thing that made me laugh and it's fine you can explain it easily is just that I love that they were successfully integ ated as an American family and then as soon as they get back to Russia they talk like this yeah except for scet Johansson who never yeah who's just [ __ ] Midwest all the way I mean it's fine it wouldn't have

been is that that sisterly banter that wouldn't exist with what they'd been through but I don't care I enjoyed it it was fun but everybody in the Marvel Universe has that banter kind of it's like it's just how it is but you know what I kept thinking the whole time I'm so happy Jos Weeden didn't get his hands on this because it would be that plus you're talking about SC he may have at some point it's just far too old for him but no yeah and he would have abused a bunch of people but no no but like those really subtle quips would have been really obnoxious and there would have been a point where somebody said [ __ ] we're sisters and you know sisters are stronger when they're together you know and they didn't do that it was nice got he really got on the nose as he went on

he certainly did I think he always was I just think he was the first one to do that stuff so when he did it first it felt fresh but then he just kept flogging that same dead horse yeah and then abused a bunch of people yeah yeah and then complained that the media was painting him in a negative light while we're on Black Widow I can see someone's put an article in here that theaters aren't quite happy about it yeah they've taken the opportunity to come out with this pretty scathing article about this is the National Association of theater owners who may have a vested interest in this the cinema Mafia but they've come out and point they've said that uh you know Black Widow did pretty well uh but then it dropped off quite severely and they've basically come out and said well

that's cuz you idiots released it on Disney Plus at the same time and now everybody's just pirating it and they're not going to they're not watching it they've already watched it they're not going to buy it on on uh digital release later because you've already given it to them you've you've screwed everything up and they've they've basically said we would you would have made this much more money if you just put it in the cinemas so but hold on so their their gripe is not that people are going to stream it at home instead of going to the cinemas they gripe is that this makes it easier to Pirate which is true partly it is true what they've basically said is that they've they they made a bunch of money opening day on on in theaters they made less in theaters than

they would if it was if it was only in theaters but they made that up on the you know the Disney plus thing in theory um except they got to give 15% of that to Hulu or Apple TV or whoever MH after that like the second week or or whatever it dropped right off I think their point is that everyone's just already watched it now you know but hold on don't forget though don't forget Cinemas don't pay the distributor once they've licensed the film per ticket right so Cinema make a lot more money than than than the Distributors do per head what I'm thinking is happen here is people normally like if people like it they go see it a few times like remember we saw Force awakens how many times that's true but now you go see it once yes I've seen it on the big screen

now I do want to watch it again but why would I don't have to go here I can now just sit at home yeah true but I've been doing that since 99 with DVDs but if you buy I just you that's a good point Luke because but if I watch it on Disney plus right if I pay the 30 bucks to watch it on Disney plus I can watch it as many times as I want and it's now permanently in my library so they're correct I would not buy that again oh is that which I might have is that true you don't it's not a payer view correct unless there's like a time limit on how long for but it definitely says you can rewatch it okay yeah and it also says like you can pay for it now or you can wait till October when we just release it to everyone correct yeah and free and so that's what I think it is

yeah they're not getting the people going back and seeing it again because actually right that's you've just pointed out too they've smuggled that in a little bit because it's going to be on Disney plus anyway so these people wouldn't have bought it anyway so it's kind of that's kind of not even worth mentioning the fact that they would have bought the DVD of it or whatever they wouldn't have anyway yeah it's the people who go and see movies multiple times that's the people that they're upset about aren't going now cuz they're not going back to watch it like remember I saw Fen and Menace three times in the one day imagine it worked like that with a film if you've got a ticket you can just go back in that'd be great that's how movie

Parts worked until that's how the cinema at penri Panthers Leagues Club worked oh yeah that's right if your if your parents joined well if you joined but I couldn't join I was 12 Mickey came next door than me made our parents join the Leagues Club and then we could go to the movies any time we wanted yeah for free but I I think they need to be careful how they they're complaining about this cuz remember like they're not saying that this is going to be the way going forward cuz they also know they will make more money releasing it at theaters and then releasing it at home so they're being clear this is just for Co I think they may it'll be dependent on the movie some will some won't but I think Co is still something that's very much on people's minds and

that's why they're doing this but if you still look you've got bond which have postponed for how long free guy like there's a ton of movies that they're saying we're not doing it we're going to release it here June June better not come out while I'm in [ __ ] lockdown yeah that would suck you made another good point Luke that we don't know how this affects Disney's bottom line and that's all that matters really yes like yeah sure the theaters are unhappy but if if at the end of the you know like like you I think you said Dan they don't get 100% of the ticket price anyway like Disney doesn't so at the end of the day even if less people are paying to see this if they made more money yeah mhm this would this could still be the that's what it's all about

well it's why musicians are like don't don't go to sanity and buy your CD buy it from my website even you you pay $5 for it and I'll get $5 whereas if you buy it from the record store I get 10 cents does sanity still exist no I'm sure it doesn't Okay fun camera there's two in camber actually you just gave me flashbacks that's the the only one for some reason I didn't want to say HMV because I thought people wouldn't know what that was but I don't know if anyone knows large International brand yeah they probably don't know who that is but it's something that's even even if you look at like if you say booking accommodation you go to one of these websites that has all these deals and everything if you see those deals and then you go directly to the hotel and go

hey I'm looking at booking here I've seen this in the website they probably give you the same price or they might even be able to do better because they don't then have to pay the cut to that website not always because when when we were on our road trip we stayed in um in Rapid City at this Resort because it was like the middle of not the middle of it was Winter right so it was kind of snowy out so not a lot of people in South Dakota vacationing and we stay at this Resort I'm picturing the Overlook Hotel here it it was like kind of small like but had like a fireplace with like you know like mounted animal heads on it and stuff it was really cool uh and it was $40 a night right I booked one night on Expedia because it was some deal and then I went to we decided this

is [ __ ] great cuz it it wasn't cold enough that we couldn't explore and the the the resort was [ __ ] beautiful so I was like all right let's stay a bit we we said let's see if we can stay a bit longer so I went down to the desk and I said hey we'd like to stay a couple days longer can we get the same rate and they told me yeah Expedia is subsidizing that rate okay but what you so you need to book it through Expedia and then just come and see me and we'll make sure stay in the same room and everything like that and I was like yeah done yeah so not always not always but I think it it also works I think better with like smaller hotels as well you know what I just realized though just just going back to the cinema thing in the in the 30s this whole big legislation happened

in America saying that you a movie studio could not own a cinema because of monopoly laws right you could not produce content and control the means of distribution so you couldn't you couldn't be a producer a distributor and and a showcase oh now you [ __ ] can yeah they must be loving this Disney produce money produce money produce movies well they pretty much do they do um they produce money through movies um they they put the movies on you pay them to watch it and no money changes hands with anyone who doesn't work for the mouse yeah I don't say it being a problem that's why they're so desperate to push their Originals it's not it's

not because people are demanding original content is because then they don't have to pay anyone MH yeah I've said some really cool stuff tonight haven't I yeah Luke's cracked this wide open great points I want to know what you guys thought of the finale ah see speaking of Disney it's it's it's no episode five episode five is by far my episode five of Loki is by far my favorite episode of that Series yeah sure just something about this one I'm I'm angry at it but I enjoyed it when I I think how do we do spoilers for this Luke I guess you're going to have to charme me television shows are fine we don't have to hold off for 2 weeks or anything we can discuss the

week off you could explain everything that happened in this episode and it wouldn't be a spoiler cuz no one [ __ ] knows what's going on but but for television shows I'll make this clear to all our listeners there's no we're going to hold off for a week or two weeks or anything if you want to watch a television if you wanted to watch it without spoilers you would have watched it by now movies are slightly different cuz it can be harder to get to but TV all movies are day and date that that rules off as well and [ __ ] LC will threaten you with that as well I'm I get [ __ ] worried when Luke's seen a movie now he's a loose cannon well thankfully only Luke only watches [ __ ] Spies Like Us on repeat yeah yeah I'm not likely to be spoiled so yeah so that's

have you watched top secret yet if you like Spies Like Us you will love top secret why do I need to watch anything else I've Got Stripes and Spies Like Us top secret is exactly like Stripes it's so good Spies Like Us he can just watch Spies Like Us top secret is way better than little bit vessa angel I can't remember who's in top secret but there's a hot chicken top secret as well hold on but Chevy Chase in it no it's Val Kilmer the comedian Val Kilmer tell no he's no mate when was young and he was on the money he was on the [ __ ] money um then have you seen this documentary I've seen that there is one yeah oh man

I watched the trailer it broke my [ __ ] heart what what what what is this well for starters he has throat cancer and he talks through one of those things he talks like this now he says he doesn't have throat cancer though I don't know if he's still on that train but remember we talked about this before oh yeah I had forgotten that but well the documentary certainly says he has Thro cancer yeah well he does unfortunately uh but yeah there was a period where apparently he was being a bit I don't know IND about it yeah I don't maybe they talk about that in the documentary they surely will they might not have any spoilers for Loki though no I'll spoil it by just saying I liked it very very much I also liked it very much I just found it annoying that as I we have

explained there are spoilers that ended and I still don't know what's happen well there's more questions there's more questions asked than answered which is fantastic like when he and then they go waiting for post SEC like post credit sequence and all we get season 2 is coming yeah which I'm happy about but we have to wait so long for this I'm glad this is the one that they decided needed another season cuz the others I mean one division kind of wrapped everything up but like one division has 23 [ __ ] em nods so yeah right but yeah that was perfect as a one season and same with um uh Captain America win win I'm that

happy with that being one season as well and I like that they're doing and I'm happy for that to also lead into a one-off film where um Sam is Captain America you know like great but yeah don't need another series of it did you see need to force it just quickly on that did you see this with Don cheel where what Don cheel is just as confused as you are listeners why he has been nominated for an Emmy for a walk on part he had in Winter Soldier not Winter Soldier yeah Falcon Winter Soldier Falcon Winter Soldier he uh he was in one episode in one scene where he had a bit of a chat with uh with I can't was it with with Falcon probably it was didn't do any like acting like I didn't even remember he was to be honest he just talked gave some Exposition or

whatever or or talked about Cap's history and then left uh and then now he's nominated for best guest act guest appearance in a TV show and then they asked him about it and he said yeah I don't know uh nice to be so what best appearance there's no there shouldn't be there's no other norms for acting out of that show so we're going to have em Emmy things for cameos cameos yeah I know outstanding guest actor in a drama series that's what that's what the category is guest actor surely that doesn't mean someone from the movie was in it for 10 seconds to set up yeah to like link the plot I like uh he basically said I don't really get it either but on we go yep do they get money for winning

awards no I don't think so or is it just p on the back no they get they get an award that's about it little statue maybe you think that's how actors get paid in Awards I don't know how they get paid commercials is the answer to that oh yeah in Japan I I'll do a commercial everybody does Ridley Ridley Scott does oh he'll do three movies and then one commercial that'll make more money than the three movies yeah and he'll tell you how many commercials he's done too you don't even have to ask him I've done millions of commercials by that point I done I work with ay no honestly man I work with a guy um the head of our video Department who used to work for an ad agency like in the 80s and he says that every day he'll tell

you how many commercials he made and and and he'll tell you which ones too yeah right yeah I mean fair enough so do we know who Don's up against I don't know actually I'm I'm looking now but uh um Prime Time Emy award for outstanding guest actor in a drama series oh they've always had this award that seems like something they've just shoved in there but they they have had this since the' 70s at least 2021 oh wow okay oh okay all right here we go um okay someone from something called This Is Us which I don't know Jason bitman in The Outsider okay I've seen that as in I know that's a substantial role oh that's very good James cronwell in succession yep again I wouldn't call him a guest sty just has a small role um

Jean Carlo Esposito in the Mandalorian okay oh yeah okay yeah wait hang on hang on a minute a different one Don cheet beat out no Don didn't win he's just nominated yeah and actually I've just realized that this this the formatting on this uh list is very bad and I just started read started reading drama he's he's up against Charles Dan for the crown MH Courtney B Vance for love craft country MH mhm Carl Weathers for the Mandalorian and Timothy olant for the Mandalorian Timothy right now y but that's a great that's a great lineup he yeah all right I guess maybe they were struggling for but there not that many guest characters on that show because I feel like with

the size of those roles I feel like um what's uh KL lumbley the guy who was the other super soldier they did they they list him in the article as well with the size of the role he it he could have got the no right and he his performance great but this he wasn't a guess he'd probably be more in the supporting but now no but then you've just mentioned Timothy olant and and well he was only one episode and maybe that's I've just realized these aren't nominated for their they're nominated for a specific episode too cuz I've just gone back here and realized that um did that makes no more less sense yeah because Jimmy Simpson has been nominated for best guest appearance in Westworld and he was the lead

character in the first season oh but he beon three though yes where he just has he's just pops up in one episode so suddenly a guest actor and he can get an enemy for that is he the the mcpoil yes he's the mcpoil yeah yeah I love that he's in he's in Psych as well started watching that again psych just doesn't look very good guys it is good deci we're going to power through and finish the last two seasons and then move on to the movies Luke I I got a bone to pick with you actually you didn't tell me there was a Twin Peaks episode of Psych that has the [ __ ] casted Twin Peaks in it and is shot like an episode of Twin Peaks I've never seen Twin Peaks it's it's probably not for you no it's

just face is so mad at me sh I be honest if I was watching if I even if I was a fan of Psych I'd be like this episode's weird and if I had never seen psych before and that was the episode I watched I be like the [ __ ] is this show because it's super weird it's literally a scene because it's it like it is it's a parody of Twin Peaks and it's it's really funny and there's like a scene where they find like the the dead girl wrapped in plastic and then it's just like 5 minutes where everyone's just crying and it just cuts from person to person crying and the music swells and and it's so Twin Peaks and I I was laughing but I was like imagine watching this and not knowing what Twin Peaks was you'd be like the [ __ ] is this it's very funny it is it is

a great show I do love it but yeah we we've just started season 7 tonight and we're going to finish it which will suck are they half hour or hour episodes TV hours well 40 45 TV hour yeah yeah yeah eight seasons and two movies and I think they're making a third yes I hope everyone's watching ha's show on Amazon Prime right now Lux I saw it and we were like oh we should watch that and I didn't actually didn't know it was her show so yeah now I do I saw I saw the chat you guys talking about so I was like oh definitely have to watch it now it's quite good looks good that's yeah popped up and I was like some people on that show annoy me yeah but that's the idea you meant to why is it oh when they're talking about like oh we going to buy a house for $15 million

[ __ ] you oh one final Loki thing I just this just made me laugh Richard E Grant uh was obviously in in Loki as you know classic Loki the the one with the funny horns oh I had tear for him yeah he was fantastic and he did a little bit of an interview this week and I feel like I I'm pretty sure he was just goofing around this this article makes it seem like he was more serious than he was but he's saying he wants to do a spin-off series with him and alligator Loki watch course he does any actor would want to do that yeah yeah so I feel like it was Richard E Grant is a great actor and I like him very much but he he's not got a lot on you know his leading man Days Are Over yeah I he was in R sker so let's have a little

spin-off just maybe one or two episodes just cuz I want to know what happens to Alligator Loki as well yeah you know how um Mythic Quest and master of none does this too where they'll just randomly have an episode midseason where none of the main cast feature and it'll just be a completely spin-off story yeah that's what they should do in season two just a midseason episode show what happens yeah they save some money on the cast for that episode and then just richy Grant and the crocodile he's cheap Grant is cheaper than [ __ ] Tommy I'll give you that for fre the other thing I like about this article is that he talks about uh he he wasn't too keen on his role I think he thought it was a bit silly his role Loki well yeah but I don't think he he I

don't think he quite got it and then no but I thought that too told him no no no this is great people are going to love this you are going to you see yeah and then he enjoyed it and he wants to do more but I thought reaction and he was like oh Tom was right he Tom saw something in it that I didn't that the fans really liked it yeah he was just one of those guys too where he he I don't know if he's a comic fan or anything necessarily but he [ __ ] loves being in Marvel movies like he's he's not going to [ __ ] retire like scl he said this week he's like no no no I'm I'll keep doing Loki why wouldn't I yeah they going keep signing checks for me I'm going to keep coming back yeah but it's not like he can't be in anything else he just loves playing

Loki yeah I and why if he enjoys it why leave yeah I just watched him in Henry IV [ __ ] great Shakespearean actor but he [ __ ] just loves Loki yeah well but that's the same with Richard E Grant you know I watched him with nail and I Scarlet pimpel you know all these great kind of classic roles Jack and Sarah and then you see him in the Spandex and it's like yeah on one hand you could you could think oh you've you have sunk low but on the other hand what a great role that's I I cuz I when I read that I imagined him showing up and then being like this is a costume and he was like it's him thinking what have I done I sign up for and then just Tom Hilson happened to be like no no no it's going to people are going to love it yeah this is wonderful I did like it he sort of

put out a post to go like my dad always said like you really want to be you really think you're going to be this like old man in spandex make up in years to come and he I am and I love it yeah yeah I this also I think this goes on my list of shows I think it would been fun to to be part of I really hope they release them behind the scenes because I with all my training in Film Production I could not tell what was practical and what was CGI it just blew my mind like did they build some of these giant sets or built a planet and they threw asteroids at it yeah that's right oh here's something that's quite funny you know Sylvie with her costume yes so she was breastfeeding yes during so her costumes they built in zippers so she could just dress feed Wass on set

and then she took that home with her yeah MH yeah and in season two when she won't be breastfeeding those zippers will still be there I think it's just a nice thing wardrobe to do for her it does not relevant to the plot of the show we'll know they're there yeah uh John Borman had a similar zipper on uh when he was in uh georgewood yeah yeah that's called jeans Dan yeah I used it he used it speaking of which Speaking of Doctor Who Um not really but I've been watching broad church I'm in season 3 [ __ ] this show is good this show is so last week you were just finishing season one yeah yeah yeah halfway through season 3 now I mean they're short they're Eight Episodes

which actually is long for a British show but um they're so good but it's made me want to watch the doctor sorry the David Tenant seasons of Doctor Who oh sure well I me also let's be honest yeah that's right but there's two Doctor Who's in it because um no nobody murders any children in uh in Doctor Who that I can recall although that might not be true probably not but Jody Whit is in this too right yes yes so now I want to watch her season because I've I've actually not seen her as a doctor yeah yeah actually no I have I've watched a couple of them yeah now broad Church season one was great and then it I was like oh what I mean Hope season 2 can live up to it but then just that first episode of season 2 I was like okay all right then they were like oh

okay they've done even better they what a great way of not doing the same thing again but not having to cuz I thought it was going to be like the cner where it was just going to be him as a detective in another town solving another crime right which is only partially satisfying but they made this make sense in a way that you're like I'm on board impressive yeah and season 3 was just like if you thought little kids getting murdered was Grim yes here's an old lady getting raped you're welcome just just Eight Episodes of just watching that in the first person oh god I've been watching uh Vikings because okay I I we started of a Viking kick at the moment well yeah we started it a while back um and then Jenna wasn't that into it and I I wanted

to continue and then this weekend I had the opportunity cuz I was looking after the little one and uh you know I just wanted she just loves it she she does actually she loves hunky Australians I turned her chair around at one point cuz we were watching it and it was just a particularly brutal battle scene and I was like turn the chair around don't to see that or she sees his flashing lights no I'm just I love the Viking really tones down the sex because it's History Channel but they dial up the violence to fu 12 out of 10 season season 2 the first episode it it yeah I was like oh all right season one that the um the blood eagle have you seen that no not yet okay you just [ __ ] wait you wait for that you wait for that in glorious

HD this show is good I will be okay it moves very quickly like you [ __ ] wait until none of your characters are in it anymore yeah I mean in a good way because it's never boring it's just that it like from episode to episode I'm just like [ __ ] all right like yeah heads spinning quick stuff happens and like even within an episode like there's an episode where somebody got sick and then halfway through the episode [ __ ] everyone's dying of the plague and I was just like Jesus Christ this is like mhm yeah and then they go from uh they just jump from country to Country like it's Assassin's Creed valala they just yeah yeah fast traveled to to England yeah but I mean in a good way it's good that that English king is is it Eggbert or he's

he's my favorite character I I I love him the fat guy no no the guy the be guy who takes all these meetings in the bath yeah yeah yeah yeah okay yep he he's just he's just been introduced oh okay yeah yeah yeah he's great he's great I loved Vikings as you know it lost me for the same reason you you mentioned by about season 4 I didn't know who anyone was anymore yes and and the story was just moving on it seemed to just want to tick a whole lot of boxes of historical events that happened and tie characters into that and I didn't feel that personal connection anymore um and eventually I realized that I'd watched an entire season didn't enjoy yeah I was worried about that because because it is it's difficult to you know the characters move so quickly some

characters leave and I was like oh man I I was was worried we were going to lose some characters that I liked and I I don't I'm not quite sure what's going to happen so we'll wait and like after and that's you what you've just said has put me off from even starting to watch it that it moves so quickly cuz a lot of the times when I be watching a show like that I would be playing a game so would be and if it's moving too fast I can't keep track so you would do well with it I think cuz it and things like like the plot with his brother right the season one climax you know the the the confrontation with his brother and all that kind of stuff it's like over in two episodes and then all of a sudden he's like you know and in an episode later he's forgiven him like it's it's just so

quick it's whereas a show I you know like a different show would spend time on those character season it's not this show is not about that it's about the broader events events yes exactly yeah it's not like um you know like there it's not a person story set against the backdrop of a historical event yeah like the a different show about Vikings might spend a whole episode or even like a two-parter on some harrowing you know Journey that they took from Norway to [ __ ] England or something like that this is not that show they they get in the boat and then they're in England like which is sort of good because you don't really want to watch people on a boat for weeks at a time that's what I'm saying seen Valhalla Rising Matt have you seen Valhalla Rising n winding

reference Viking movie with mads melson is it is it the him stuck on a boat for for [ __ ] half the movie them on a [ __ ] boat oh God all right fine I'm have to watch that okay the first half is him just [ __ ] fighting dudes in Norway then they're on a boat all right fine I'll watch it you should watch it yeah but but just in terms of like moving at that pace do you remember when bad badal when Battle Star Galactica jumped forward a year like mindblowing television yeah season three I think right when they on that planet yeah and you were like what's going to happen and then they're like bam one year later and you're like no like we've been watching whole Seasons to see what happens when they get to a planet and then they

skipped it on purpose just a with us po gas was the president yeah that's right literally in the middle of an episode of Vikings I'm pretty sure it was in the middle of an episode he goes four years later yeah and it like like [ __ ] hell and now actor plays the kid yeah that's right yeah I was [ __ ] hell all right yeah I'll tell you though the wife never ages oh they don't even they don't even put gray streaks in her hair by season four she's like a very old lady right she she's still just yeah looking damn good sorry to bring up psych again but they you know they swapped out young sha Luke you know they swapped the little kid actor at one point and then but then they made jokes about it too I love that I love that they just made fun of it at one

point different like no I'm just a bit older like yeah don't need a question anymore moving on y they did that in Roseanne and I know it's not cool to talk about Roseanne all but they announced it they went such and such is now going to be played by Sarah chalk and then the original girl came back yeah and then and they did refer to it like you've changed yeah she walks in and she goes where the hell have you been holy [ __ ] it was Sarah shalk yeah oh I didn't realize that until just now I don't know who played her originally but yeah Sarah tralk was the replacement huh for those listeners who may not know who Sarah tralk is she was uh Elliot in Scrubs that's why I just Googled her and I went oh it's Elliot all right yeah

yeah huh that a lot you just see these actors and they will forever just be like that character even if they appear in something El you instantly go back to oh no that's house or that's such and such I I I do think it's funny that he is his house cuz he had like such a career before that and now years of Great British television house he's and unfortunately it's true he that's who he is I mean we've talked about this before that you know when you see an actor or actress in a role that you [ __ ] really hate the character you like Joffrey from Game of Thrones for example right can't be anything now he's cuz he every time every time people see him they're just like [ __ ] that little prick like he's he's ruined his career basically there's a woman who plays she

plays um some horrible [ __ ] in Rome and she's also in um battle not she was in Capra right and as soon as she showed up do you know who I mean Dan she's like the yeah I think so yeah I think she got kind of Cur beautiful slightly older woman yeah wavy kind of reddish hair I can't wish I could remember her name but she fantastic actress that's the problem is that she was such a [ __ ] in Rome that I was just like [ __ ] you and then she showed up as soon as she shows up in anything else she's she's obviously she's quite you know prolific actress but BEC capr in particular as soon as she showed up I was like a this [ __ ] [ __ ] is going to stab him in the back like nothing to do with the character or anything like that just

yeah I was talking to someone about caprika recently and about like basically how upset I was that it ended after one season yeah great show but it was just so slow to get to the story but then they did that Montage at the end there was like this is what you would have got to see if you'd kept this show going and I was like a that would have been amazing yeah I feel cabria was never made to make money I I don't know how they I mean cuz battl star run itself in to the ground as well it was just for us right yeah that got weird I'm still I'm still interested to see what they're doing with the reboot though I really like like the end of of battl star but not all of it yeah no yeah same but but I like what they're planning with like

the the new one they're doing like so could be everything at once but we might release two episodes in one week and one the next week just depending on where the story is that's just going to irritate me so like you might have like there's a big space battle and they don't want to go end it halfway through and shooting next week so that'll release I'll just release both episodes at once so you Le you get small arcs concluding that's interesting so we'll wait and see how they do it we will have to cuz we can't watch it yet maybe if we ask nicely Luke have you ever considered collecting video games I feel that I do cuz when I used to buy my game physical copies I never traded in I've always hated that whole

trading thing because you trade in a game you get $5 for it and then they sell it for $95 but that's probably as close as I've got to collecting mhm yeah like EB used to do that thing where if you if you bought it and then within like if you finished it within like a week or something you could bring it back and they give you a pretty good trade in because then they could just sell it as new again I think yeah that was a bit Shifty uh it really is well video game collectors it's all going a big Gang Busters now apparently uh and it used to be that collectors were just you know people like you uh who wanted to just have all the games that they were and yeah uh you know for example people would buy old

cartridges not necessarily I remember Zelda was one of the big games remember was the N64 there was the gold cartridge yes trela that used to be expensive no matter where you were buying it from secondhand whether case or not people were spending up to like $200 to get a cop when you say expensive you mean a couple hundred to I think most most games like the most would be like $1,000 would be quite a lot for a video game cuz people didn't want which is like still far too much what people were interested in for the longest time was just having the game in a playable format it wasn't really about this the normal collectory stuff but apparently that's changed now and the reason this has come up is this this past week an unopened

boxed copy of Super Mario 64 sold for $1.5 million and video game collectors were like video game collectors were like why N64 isn't even that retro a console this game there no Reas actually it's 30 years Jesus Christ but this this was not a unique copy of the game this was just an unopened box copy of of of Super Mario 64 of which there are many in the world m and they they think the reason for this is that uh new breed of game collector has has stepped onto the the playing field speak are they actually Gamers or is this one of these things that we're seeing now where investors are just jumping on there's a company called Heritage auctions who run

collector auctions and they've started doing video games and then that means because it's a because it's like a big big thing they're now grading the quality of video games like they do with comics and that kind of stuff and so the whole landscape of it has changed now so I yeah the fun thing is I don't see Gamers being the ones that are actually bidding on this stuff though no that that's right it's people people with money who are like trying to get in ground floor and this stuff the people who are buying like the the the what are those now nfps and that type of stuff that aren't really worth anything but they're making it something by buying it yeah so I think basically if money was a madeup con constructed concept before it

it it's definitely as H like [ __ ] hell yeah that's s we we've just all agreed for some reason this stuff is has value but like yeah it's it's it's it's I could go play this game yeah no I I I don't I don't like this I don't like the way that's going I think we should be but is this different to issue one of Spider-Man being worth a million bucks well that's the thing it it was different I think that's the thing Dan before that would be rare to find a good quality of that yeah and the person buying that is probably not the biggest Spider-Man fan in the world you know what I mean like there's a there's a there's a distance between the collectors who can afford this [ __ ] and the people who are actually the true fans you know like someone someone who

would just love to have that for for actual love of the the medium versus someone who just wants to have it because it's it's worth a bunch of money yeah I'll buy it for this price now in a few years time it'll be worth this yeah so now those people are joining the video game collecting thing and it's probably going to mess things up for those people who just want to have all the video games man I can understand I suppose you could play it but I mean you can't play this you can't play this value the that it used to be that but when you collected them you wanted to play them so like yeah but that's what I mean but like even with a like I understand I never did this but I understand why toy collectors kept toys in the box so that they were in mint condition you could

still look at it and see the toy if you look at the [ __ ] cartridge for Mario Party N64 you can't see the game it could what used to happen when I work at Toys R Us and the collectors would come in to buy the new figures a lot of them would actually buy three mhm they'd buy one to open so they can play with and have kissy fights M mhm one that they could sell once the luk play with his toys one that they could could sell and then one that was this is mine in my collection kissy fights is what he calls [Laughter] kissy but it's just what it seems like it's only worth what people are willing

to pay yes of course but see for a gamer if they want if they want a copy of this they' got it from when they first got it yeah or they're just going to get it on an emulator or something these days like it's yeah I think we should be keeping a record and like there's the game Museum in CRA which I quite like that they're trying to they're trying to build up this library of games that have come out but it's not just going to be you go and look at cartridges and go ooh no have you pitched them on an exhibit about you maybe I should go Xbox fam yeah yeah maybe they could put your little you got a little trophy right maybe that could go on display my trophy is staying with me I am so proud of that trophy Luke um
