[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy so I've been doing more streaming again today okay but I've been very bad at it why in what sense well it's one of the things like I know how to get popular okay get my tits out being a pool but apart from scho all over again the thing you really need to commit to with the streaming it's just you need to commit to it and and do it it's been like 15 days since the last time if you don't do it you probably won't be known for it much yeah and someone just randomly going on streaming

for an hour once every five months oh sure they're not going to make it so I've set myself a goal this week Imagine other media was like vloggers is and streamers are you know like imagine if Ridley scottt like every 5 years he puts out a film people like no sorryy it's been too long not going to watch it well actually if you do look at with Ridley Scott he is doing that with the film but then he also does a lot of stuff in between as well yeah not advertisement not streaming he's not on Twitch as far as I know well he [ __ ] I'd watch the [ __ ] out of it and it just be him abusing the audience like why are you watching this go see my movie played over video games he abused some reporter this week too

what did they do oh they um they said said what we're thinking no they said uh oh compared to your other films like kingdom of heaven and and and uh something else this the last duel is more realistic and then apparently you can watch the video of it go just like sir [ __ ] you [ __ ] you get [ __ ] [ __ ] you no really what what I think they were playing you a compliment Ridley they weren saying those movies suck confused about I think he was waiting for the yeah I think he was waiting for the followup of why is this one failing or is that maybe I don't or maybe he I think something he's he's old he's going there well this is also I mean people are talking about Ridley this week because um you know June is doing so well and it's it's definitely going to

be up for some 2022 Oscars and um you everyone it was unfilmable until now and Ridley came out and said it wasn't unfilmable I could have filmed it in fact I was going to I was off at it in 1984 I turned it down because I didn't want to go to Mexico to film it you probably could have gone can we go here to film it instead like you yeah Death Valley California he got against Mexico well I mean I don't know you'd have to ask him he said he went there he didn't like it okay but a lot of people go to lots of places they don't like for work here we go Luke lives in CRA exactly Dino delor said it's expensive we're going to have to make it in Mexico and then Ridley Scott said what Mexico so he sent me to Mexico City and with the greatest

respect to Mexico City in those days it was pretty pongy I didn't love it the greatest respect they probably wouldn't have shot it in the city would they no I mean had he read June there's not a lot that just happens in like an urban Metropolis I went to a studio in Mexico City and the FL with dirt floors in the studio and I said nah again have you read you yes you'd have to bring in dirt funny yeah I don't think he could have made it I really don't I'm glad he didn't to be honest although I'm sure he would have done something interesting with it maybe K's career well he said that he went on to do Legends so this was very early as well that Legends is very early yeah so

that must have been before Tom Cruz one wasn't it I think yes and the big red dude Tim Curry Yeah Tim Curry yeah yeah I think he literally uh turned it down and then they got David Lynch I that's what he's saying yeah picking at his scraps like it's the it's the same I still don't think that's sort of a good argument like I could have made it but I I didn't would have been better if I had have done it though I think I think he thinks that about quite a lot of movies to be honest I well unfortunately I think he thinks he can do no wrong and and well we know that cuz if something doesn't do well it's not his fault no no it's Facebook it's the audience's fault so I did some research this week no I would have done this anyway but uh I went and watched the last jeel um Goodwill Hunting

2 should I watch it should you probably not not for me not for you I would say mhm just just in that you only watch movies for enjoyment yes you know well why else would you watch a movie yeah I mean it's a valid point but you know you can I think there different types you can enjoy the concept of a movie yeah without it being an enjoyable movie and this is certainly not an enjoyable movie but it was good it was good as as all kind of second tier Ridley Scott movies are good you know is this a first T Ridley Scott movie no this is according to him it's well yeah I mean and it's also so hugely expensive for the the very

small film that it is um and wonder way M went with it to the Stars I assume yeah there's some celebs in this one lot o celebs actually do I know any of them yeah personally you probably mention Ben Affleck and Matt Damon you heard of them Adam Driver kylo Ren they probably oh these people actually eat it they probably all at all yeah probably maybe not Adam Driver he didn't get famous till later um didn't know he was at the time yeah affle and Damon wrote it for each other for themselves to star in and then Affleck went and did something else so he took a minor role and they got Adam Driver to play his part oh it's interesting though

um do so Matt you said the the plot last week on the show and you were correct um do you know do you know anything beyond that no no I got do you want a slight spoiler or do you want to not know anything uh I mean it's not who wins the jeel it's we all lose it's that the kind of film where I'm like it's not a it's not a Twist or anything like that but I'm just not say the new Matrix movie where I'm going to be annoyed if someone ruins why the [ __ ] there's a new Matrix movie cuz I want to find that out I want to know I don't want to wait until I'm actually paying and in theater to find out that I don't like the fcking of that I want to know in advance okay give us give us the slight spoiler go on you

see the same events from multiple points of view oh okay and it plays out differently yes but only slightly differently which I found very funny in a way around the he is it sort of around the he said she said part it is the he said she said right and and the whole look the premise is that Matt Damon's not really defending his wife's honor because he feels she's been wronged he's doing it because he loses face that his wife has been sexually assaulted right okay so cuz he allowed it to happen well just just that you allow I'll allow it no just just the fact that if you don't throw down the gaunlet then you're

you're seen to to lose face it's as simple as that but the interesting part about it was that Adam Driver the rapist right even in his story his character his character you're right you're right Adam Driver who plays the part of the rapist right still in his story rapes her a little bit he just rapes her less oh okay but but it's fine back then wasn't it yeah but you expect his to be like oh and she loves me and she wanted it no he still holds her down like it's yeah it's re it's really interesting in in that way but as I was watching I I wish I'd known that it was going to do that actually because I spent a lot of time a little bit confused and a bit annoyed that it was skipping over some interesting details

and what I thought was mishandling certain details and then it goes back and starts again again and I'm like oh okay I wish I'd known this or I wouldn't be hating on this movie quite so hard okay but it's good it's good just quality Ridley Scott second tier drama I might uh give it a watch this week if I yeah I would I can yeah all right I won't just in case you wonder I wouldn't I wouldn't I'm thinking about watching um Race by Wolves again because I see yeah season 2's coming out for that and I refresh myself on that I've only seen one episode and I like it well if you guys want some quality science fiction or actually I would say this is more space fantasy than science fiction but I'm six episodes into um foundation and

it's excellent yeah God know I need to keep watching it it's another show that I thought oh you're skipping over some details here man and then they go back to things I'm like oh okay here we go you'll like this Luke we'll see Luke you you'll like it it's very we'll see oh it's in between my cam whing and it's got the pie maker in it that's true it does Lee Pace yeah how how often are you streaming or how often are you planning to stream Luke let's see if we can well at the moment I'm I'm trying to do I want to do every Thursday like just to sit down every day and then at least one or two nights during the week as well how how long do you stream for you're going to be on cam all day Thursdays well I do the edit of sa file in the morning uhhuh and then I just going to

be yeah whing it up is the plan yeah so only fans until lunchtime and then yep twitch after that mhm the problem is is I still I need to get out of the habit of wanting to watch things while I'm playing games although I've worked out how to do that um who's that big twitch streamer the one that does like the ASMR and the pools it starts with a no idea do you mean amaranth yeah her right like the biggest twitch streamer yeah yeah the the the the big one well she will do like the ASR stuff where she just that's what you mean right the big one and then just do the stuff she's tapping I'm looking her up now microphone um what she does is she

watches stuff right so why are you doing that where you don't actually have to be engaging in a story or engaging with your fans cuz all you're doing is going you can just watch show I I I will say this that I I feel like she's got something you don't have no offense that would mean people would probably watch her whatever she was doing she has more time than I do I'm not I'll be honest I'll be honest I'm just looking at it here I don't know even if you're a pervert there's better things to look at I well I think part of this is not so much she's more engaging cuz I know what you mean it's like [ __ ] hell man this is the least sexy thing I've ever seen in my life the reason why I think this

sort of stuff does well as as opposed to just straight out porn is you do sort of get to I think people get a feeling that they're getting to know that person and that they're having interaction that makes it worse Rel not better makes it way worse but that's I actually do you think that is it cuz you I agree with you it's you pay enough money and I'll write your name on my arm and that's your interaction with them and I'm never going to um make people pay for me to write their name on my arm I'll do it for free okay next next Thursday I'd like my name on your arm please done excellent do you want your name or do you want your log on oh your username for what for twitch don't have one you know am bought a gas station she bought two gas tax purposes tax purp just write dwarf

Watcher L I don't know who you mean cuz she makes I think she spent like $10 million she makes just under $1.4 million a year on Twitch just no I'm not going to deny this just not even doing anything just being on there no no I wouldn't say not doing anything she would still be working a hell of a lot CU that's one of the things I'm just jealous I have but here's the thing too though like a lot of people have tits and don't make a million dollars a year so she's not working hard she's working smart no no no no she's working smart but also the thing is and the reason why I would never become like a full-time streamer or anything not is more so the fact that you have to constantly do that like if I

go sorry guys I'm going on holiday for a couple of weeks so I'll see you later for income gone yeah people stop watching and then you have to start building up that viewer base again you got to be online every day streaming for 8 to 12 hours yeah that's quite a lot yeah they do do a lot of work I'm not deny no they're always on too I've I've worked with influencers um on multiple advertising campaigns and stuff and they just never stop just always in the back you're eating lunch and they're [ __ ] vlogging what their lunches your job you your work is actually quite hard you you could still stop it and go get a different job oh yeah yeah yeah like yeah let's not get crazy I don't think yeah let's not feel sorry they feel sorry for you because that's what you chose to

physics back get hurt constantly doing some buoyancy experiments in that hot tub mhm mhm yeah y but ied's principle I can sort of see where twitch is sort of having this hard time going that's not the content that we really want there yeah millions and mil always say this if we found out if you found out that most people only listen to this podcast to jerk off to right but they were still willing to pay for it would you be like no I don't want you listening no you'd be like what can I do to K you off big boy you get the people who get on there to watch that and then they will very go off and watch other things and on the platform paying money but then you don't want to yeah go down the path of where the only fans but

also but only fans didn't start as porn either only fans started off like if you like a band just give them money directly here instead of paying Sony yep the internet turns everything into porn what the that's what the world is about turning everything into porn before we go on to um before we go on to anything else I just want to read out three three headlines from this week from the news that um that just stood out to me we don't and we don't have to go into these I didn't save these articles or anything I I just want to I just want to read three headlines okay okay okay number one US rejects calls for regular in or Banning Killer Robots okay that's one can't we just go

like the laws of robotics can we just maybe just get them inforced already saying killer robot so clearly they don't they don't's laws they his his laws don't work that's what all his books were about the books wer the rules weren't the end of the book The Rules always came at the beginning and the books are about how the laws don't work like stop putting forward his laws yeah he wrote them flawed on purpose yeah and actually that cautionary tales yes it's actually sort of in their best interest to have the Killer Robots because it's easier to have wars then that's true you have to L you just build it send them out okay we'll go this headline number two Russia and China attacking us Satellites with lasers every

day now are we like what type of we look these are the headlines that popped up in my today inspiring Dan's imagination throughout the day yeah third one and this is my favorite right because this is this is really rank true right Jared Leo's horrendous performance single-handedly ruins Ridley Scott's house of [Laughter] Gucci I heard those I think that movie had a few other issues not just him well the actual Gucci family are saying that it's it's total horeshit and that they um yeah they think it's all lies but evidently the the audience the cinema going audience is saying wouldn't be too bad um but Jared Lio ruins it yeah right that's what he does that's his thing you can't call him

on it I also cuz has he even seen it cuz he also does this thing where I'll come in and act in it and I'll give them all this stuff I won't watch it though Johnny Depp does that too though he doesn't watch his movies yeah he's like I don't want to know I don't watch Johnny Depp's movies these days either I think the last Johnny Depp movie I saw was Tusk didn't see that he in that he is in that yeah him and his daughter and then also yoga houses yoga I know what that is goo's it's a Kevin Smith movie yeah he's actually Johnny Depp in that because yeah Kevin Smith and Johnny Depp's daughter daughters are friends sorry Kevin Smith's daughter and Johnny Depp's daughter are friends not Kevin Smith and Johnny Depp's daughter are

friends just to be clear they might be yeah I mean might be could be for yeah I just want to be but like yeah so but but like Kevin Smith and Jo de def they're not friends no they don't get a little that's right yeah mhm no actually I don't mind the task I want to watch that again who does seen I know what it is I haven't seen it though it's ridiculous who does he play who does uh he plays I think he's a you can't tell it's him like he's got pathetics and makeup and puts on a very strange accent oh yeah he loves to do that he calls that point having Johnny Depp in your movie if he's going to do that well I don't think they just needed someone to play that character and it wasn't like they build it as hey this is

Johny need somebody so they got Johnny de he he said he said to his daughter do any of your friends have a dad that will agree to be in this movie anybody don't want to pay them I'll just grab the first guy off the street that guy there oh [ __ ] it's Johnny Depp oh well yeah Tom Holland is doing more Spider-Man movies after this one of course another three yeah then then he's going to give up acting is that what he said okay that was an article I don't think he said it because of this but I think it acting is not an article that I half read that he's not going to he doesn't want to act forever okay he wants to get into real estate or something after okay what but honestly going in making the millions of

dollars and then just going I'm going to go do whatever I feel like but that's the opposite of how people normally do it normally people will get like like say Arnold Swartz gets into real estate and then he doesn't have to work anymore so he's like I'm just going to become an actor and I can because I don't have to worry about making money I may be the worst actor in Hollywood but I'm going to be a star yeah but I'm the one that doesn't need to wait tables so I'll just [ __ ] be patient yeah I quite like it if people just go I'm done I do too especially Tom Holland whom I don't particularly care I like Tom Holland people retire from seems fun Evangeline Lily retired but then she came back I think when she says she retired what she means was I didn't get

hired for anything after lost until Ant-Man that's not a retirement yeah I suppose when you're an actor but but yeah I guess I mean she puts it that way and I'm like well why wouldn't they have hired her she's she was fine she's getting lost yeah but I mean there's a lot of actors people like her performances are fine people like looking at yeah they're absolutely fine I uh I think that about actors though that crop up in things years later like um Jason baitman who is famous now again and was famous many years ago but for 20 years wasn't famous what was he doing yeah waiting tables that's what they all do yeah that's right yeah renting one of Tom Holland's house to get the real

James Bond and now I'm I've like a frightened Turtle gone back in my shell I don't need to go to the movies again when is this out uh the 16th oh so it's not long no it's not this week next week yeah right so yeah I can get a ticket to an advaned trading for next Wednesday on the 15th and the cinema is emptied go have a look go and see report back convince me that I should want to see it cuz currently I don't it's it's a Marvel movie and they're fun it's not a Marvel movie or is this one a Marvel movie it is Marvel Studios this one still is it is y okay yep it's Sony going oh so you're going to make this do a of marketing and then just pay us money and we get to keep the license okay but like no way home right was no

and everyone just going it's not my fault sure it's not my fault I didn't pull the trigger I I pulled back the hammer the hammer and let go of it and that fire pointing DP well no no no he wasn't trying to say I mean I know I know what you're getting at but I mean he' already at that point in the interview made it clear that that he felt like this wasn't his fault because there shouldn't have been a [ __ ] bullet on set I completely agree with that but at this point if you're going that's not something he should have had to worry about was the fact that the gun might actually kill somebody so he wasn't even thinking about it I think what he was trying to say I find that is a good enough argument on its own I'm an

actor I'm holding a prop I should be able to point it at someone and pull the trigger and and be completely confident that whoever has handed it to me has not put a real bullet in there but to actually say I didn't touch any of the buttons like it's like of course you did mate of course you did that's not how Gun Works I know but he I mean he was being interviewed and I think he was reacting to because a lot of people have said been using the words you know he pulled the trigger and it's his responsibility he pulled the trigger and I think what he was saying is actually I didn't even pull the trigger I just pulled the ham back and the gun went off so I mean you're right it doesn't matter but I think he was yeah I just to me it just sounds real I

didn't puller pull theer he was like no I didn't pull the [ __ ] trigger stop saying that actually I would get annoyed as well but also why are you going on doing interviews yeah I mean this is one of these weird things sort feels weird to me that he's going out doing interviews where it's just uh sorry I've got no comment the police are investigating I'll wait for that inves to complete mhm that's where I would be go we all know this was a tragic accident it's absolutely no one's fault there was no malice but someone will be accountable for because at the end of the day someone has to take responsibility let's let the authorities decide who that person is no no no no every single person is going to come out go wasn't me mate yeah but I mean I

assume he wasn't like I should probably just do it I should probably do an interview and then he went hunting for someone interviews he's probably being harassed for interv yeah he would be and and I'm sure he has advisors saying don't speak to this person do speak to this person yeah I find it ironic though that you mean the whole the the American kind of slogan is like guns don't kill people people kill people you know like the guns aren't dangerous on their that's why there's they have a vested interest in making this Alec Baldwin's fault for that reason but he's saying the opposite he's basically saying if you even go near a gun you might kill a dop sure well I think he's saying I mean he he was pretty clear in that interview it's somebody's fault somebody is

responsible for this not me obviously not me but somebody is but someone and he go I don't know who it is I don't know but other a lot of other actors have come out and said at no point in in on any day on set on any film would I take a gun off of a person and not check it myself and not and not protoc I don't it at anyone right but see to me there's also a difference between pointing it at someone and pointing it where the camera needs me to be pointing that's true yeah I'm not I'm not aiming at this person Beyond I'm the camera needs me to do this except that there wasn't a camera it was a rehearsal yeah and also I think usually if you pointing it at

them they have a per they have a screen in the way they usually shoot through a piece of pect be blocking and stuff and rehearsing you'd have like here's the camera so this is where we're going to be doing it it could have been but it's hard to say we wouldn't know he could they could have just been going okay what will we do and he was like oh maybe I'll go like this you know we just don't know yeah but what he said in the interview was in which case he shouldn't be holding the real gun if it was just a reheal no need for that here I have my finger out that's all I need for this well hang on he said in the interview what happened he said that they were they were blocking the shot and he said okay when we do it I'm going to [ __ ] the gun do you want me to do do you want me to do

that and she said yeah let's do it we'll see what it looks like and that's when the gun went off cuz he said he pulled the hammer back and when he put the hammer forward again afterwards it hit what was a real bullet that shouldn't have been in there and it and then it fired is that how a Gun Works no this is a West isn't it yeah so it's it's an old so yeah so so it would have been a six shooter type of thing when pulled it back and so he wouldn't have if he put it back like completely slowly it wouldn't do anything so it had to I that to be honest I don't think you could say that at all I think you would I don't I don't know that no I think it does need to go with some Force to create the spark for sure because the way that you uncock a gun is by flicking the hammer back down

like if you [ __ ] it and then don't want to shoot you flick the hammer back down yeah but I mean I don't know that I I'd be confident saying that in listening to to Luke's explanation yeah I shared that video during the week I don't think we know right we definitely don't know I am not confident saying no no no you definitely have to hit it hard like I don't [ __ ] know like maybe you know all I know is that is every video I've watched with other actors they say you don't you don't block like that holding the gun holding the real gun no no yeah I've seen that too and I know there's a video floating around of running around like a kid with you just your finger out like holding my hand like a gun that's all you need if you're just blocking I mean maybe Star Wars

when you've got a wooden Blaster you know but but if you've got real guns and obviously they weren't supposed to have live ammo but regardless I can't wait to know what really happened I hope they really do figure it out it's it's it's actually going to I think it's going to be one of these things where you have a tragedy happen happen people get really strict with a lot of controls and then nothing happens for so long that people just start to yeah we're meant to do this but people just start to sort of ease off on those strict controls not to say that by malice or they trying to do something it's just because it's a lot of extra effort to go through to make sure this all happens and nothing's going to happen we all know what we're doing we're all fine

let's get let's get moving maybe but if you were an actor you'd be [ __ ] terrified to touch a gun right now yes and that's what I mean like that's exactly what I mean like now yes in another 15 to 20 years after nothing's happened and you oh there's this weird story from this old guy who died 5 years ago that he had something bad happen I'm I'm I'm predicting Al Al's death I was about to say what what old man and then and then the same sort of thing may happen you just sort of hear people get that little bit lack with steps that they need to take cuz nothing's happened yeah I mean I think there arguing that that's not what happened here but I mean you might be right like I also read during the week

that perhaps the gun that they rented had a bullet in it from the last time it was rented out and that bullet had been there the whole time but I mean that's for them to have gone through every single check to what would need to happen about only loading it as you're handing it over that's what I mean like clearly the bullet was put in there by someone and if like no one's talking about the crew taking it out to shoot during lunchtime anymore I haven't heard that story in a couple of weeks do you know what I mean like everyone interview he said he doesn't he didn't he doesn't know anything about any of that no one told him anything about that and when the crew quit cuz the crew did quit he said this Al bald they quit before this didn't they yeah Alec Baldwin says cuz

he was a producer he said yeah they did approach me and they did resign and it was because they wanted better accommodation they nobody said anything to him he says nobody said anything about gun safety to him the accident happened and then all of a sudden people started talking about it so he said he doesn't necessarily even believe that any of that that's true he doesn't know what to believe yeah I I can see that side of it I can see that you know after after the accident happened everyone's now going oh and it was unsafe all along yeah yeah yeah but I mean he also has a vested interest in saying that because he was a producer he's going to get sued so oh he's going to get sued either way I really I really hope they do get to the bottom of this because I just love

to know I'm just [ __ ] curious yeah how the [ __ ] did the ball get in there yeah yeah I mean probably and like this armor who's saying I'm absolutely not at fault because when I passed Alec Baldwin the gun there was no bullet in it yeah I know that makes no sense that makes no sense and especially now if there's that sort of thing that oh the the where they hide it from they may have left a bolt in there if that person say there was definitely not then yeah what that's not possible is a murderer it's not possible the you say you HDE it and they left a bullet and he wanted to murder someone in front of like 30 other people imagine he did hey hey it it be a way to get away with it we don't know if he's got away with it yet well no this would be sort of your

even need to buy them that's right yeah like what what did you watch streaming first God knows yeah actually if I also really think about I could probably work it out yeah I might be able to too hey you know last week you guys were talking about movies anywhere right and I was thinking yes I don't need Movies Anywhere necessarily what I need is one central place to just bookmark movies I don't care where I watch them but what I do every night when I want to watch something is first I go to Netflix and look in my saved movies then I go to Amazon Prime and look in my saved movies then I go to [ __ ] binge and watching my saves one central place where you can just see what you T to watch later um isn't that sort of Apple TV and the Google TV stuff yeah except they don't

work with like Apple TV doesn't work with Netflix right oh Google TV does yeah Google TV does that's because they have a few they don't all work with all of them ah but does it literally combine your your watch later lists um I don't know my watch later cuz I never put anything on watch later but I can basically scroll through and you can scr through every single streaming one you basically you what dam you want to make like a a I want to like an a playlist exactly yeah of all of everything from across all the different services isn't that uh and I'm happy to go and watch them might do it and then what's that just watch there's that movie one that I figet the name of that everyone letter boxed Everyone likes that you might be able to do it on letter boxed

okay I'll look into it cuz that's all I want I'm happy to then go to Netflix and watch it I just want to know I mean I could write a [ __ ] list you know what I mean like I could make a spreadsheet but write on a piece of paper yeah just remember it I just find it worse you'll get around to doing it and then yeah you go look at your piece of paper PR Tre and then when you go to watch it there they've removed it oh yeah and it's now on another stream and I'll forget to remove it from my spreadsheet mhm I just let Google tell me what I should watch you're right though one where you could just have them all in there and then you just click on it and it just figures it out for you like where is this stream because Apple TV does do that unless it's on Netflix because that stupid Fe

no but you have to know what you're looking for first and I can't remember whose fault that is I think it's Netflix is being fussy with Apple about it I can't remember the specifics but they just don't cuz I'm happy to actually be watching Netflix and them getting their [ __ ] counter up and whatever yeah yeah cuz that other than Netflix the Apple TV thing works really well and I get everything all in one you know I just go and what am I watching and it Aggregates it all together and that but like like you said it just doesn't include Netflix which is [ __ ] annoying cuz then I got to check two places it's just yeah so annoying just get over it and it's not like you you're happy I'll every streaming service money just make it easy for me to yeah yeah

I'll for watch but that's what I mean like they they almost it's almost there right like actually I think Amazon does it with everything it's just the Amazon F stick I think is just not as good as the Apple TV like from a usability standpoint like for me anyway personally I found it to be not as good I don't know I just feels like they they they sort of half get there and then like what we just recently happened with Star Trek Discovery where they've gone we're taking it off everywhere and we're putting behind this ball that only one country can watch it instead of everyone it's s like no you're going backwards mhm although F to have your own streaming service that people have to pay directly to you that's all fine but just don't make it not available they

almost solved piracy and then they shot themselves in the foot yeah but turns out they didn't know there was a bullet in the gun when they did it or that you had to pull the trigger for the bullet to come out I didn't even pull the trigger I was just pointing the gun around yeah yeah just waving it around um Always Sunny season 15 started to air very good very good so far I cannot wait to watch it well you can wait you've decided to wait oh I yeah I'm going to have to wait because going to binge it as we were just talking this is one of the ones where you you can't watch it unless you're in America at the moment yeah oh is that is not available at all no there's there's no way I can watch it in Australia yeah legally well

that's a shame that I know of let me just double check it is now now that season 15 has started it is officially the longest running sitcom of all time that's amazing see did but this is also one of those things that they will out a lot where this is the longest running series and this longest running sitcom that I don't know all these sort of they mean nothing to me anymore yeah well I mean I was curious what the second longest is like what what has this overtaken and it's a show called The Adventures of Aussie and Harriet which I've never heard of um which ran for 14 Seasons from 1952 to 1966 right well the longest running show ever is The Simpsons correct yeah and

then so now this is the longest running no the the longest running narrative be yeah be one of those like Young and the Restless or something like that that's just been going Forever sing sing is something though isn't it yeah I'm sure of it what long the longest running animated Doctor Who's been running for long than the running these longest running they all sort of mean nothing in the end they is the longest running scripted American show starring Homer list of the longest running American Prime Time television shows The Simpsons Law and Order specifically oh specifically SVU well also um there's also that one person that played like the character the most is from SVU it's that cop he's played that one character

can probably Whittle down like the um genres and platforms and regions to show that I'm the top in some game somewhere and well you should that's how you get people's attention and just to back up what I was saying earlier shows that take place in the Law and Order Universe because of crossover characters include 30 Rock The Wire unbreakable Kimmy Schmid Arrested Development the xfiles and many more and I think part of the reason it makes him cross over is is that cop character John Munch yep I just looking at this list right Mr Rogers Neighborhood which is a show that I only know because he was a you know kind of a pop culture figure I've never seen oh yeah I only know it from that the trailer for the movie that made it look like there was something really

Sinister happening highly know about it because Rob William makes jokes about it in Mrs Doubtfire only know I know him from there's a corn song called Mr Rogers and that's how yeah but that's no yeah I know it's not the same thing but that's just how I learned of his existence right that show was on TV for 33 years were we alive when it was on what's that was were we was it on during our lifetime yeah yeah yeah must have been TV 50s to the ' 80s or something like when did when did it 196 8 to 2001 wow to 2001 see I always thought that was an old timey show well I I guess we just because we're in Australia we just didn't know about it and and when I I always thought it was just kind

I should have said a thousand thousands is just a ridiculous number yeah there are thousands of episodes of some of these shows let's be clear like Meet the Press 3600 plus they don't even know know and they probably don't even tape them these things are live to air right there's probably not even an archive of all of this stuff well it's true yeah well it's like they remember the show our Dad's Army they've lost episodes of that yeah well do you remember um mhm uh Rod Serling who wrote The Twilight Zone used to write oneoff TV specials before then that they would shoot live to Air and then not tape so it was on once and never again and if it rated its tits off which occasionally they did they would just invite all the actors back and they

would do it again [ __ ] so the next week they were like by popular demand here's that show again and here's the actors doing basically what they did last week but it's not a tape it's like a like a play a play yeah yeah back when plays were movies yeah I know what you're thinking it's not a play it's a movie movie that DVD again with the DVDs that DVD of Zoolander was funnier than the movie Zoolander uh yeah it was uh well it expanded on it yeah it was a really interesting use of a new format of media yeah yeah I don't know and that's lost to time like tears in rain now

thousands oh but even just musician it's a [ __ ] nightmare that industry Dan knows like Jesus but even if you just decided to yourself I just want to be a musician I don't care about money I don't care about Fame and popularity I just want to be a musician so you just became you just did some session guitaring and you just did some spot scoring for some commercials and stuff you would still not you'd still be out of work most of the time and you still would be better off just playing for fun and working at your actual job yeah because cuz yeah cuz I like my job and I'm happy so why [ __ ] why ruin yeah unless you hate your job yeah exactly yeah I've certainly landed on that yeah yeah and I have the option now to say no if I don't want to do

something whereas if I was to decide to do that fulltime you don't really have that option necess hi you get you're gonna hate doing this job but you you're going to [ __ ] do it you no choice in the weird all [ __ ] that goes with trying to do something creative with other people yeah and also having to try and [ __ ] compete with all the other people who do exactly what you do even to get that job there was a threat about this on a a composers Forum on where they were talking about how one of the problems they have these days is that if you're an upand cominging composer and you want you there's an interesting indie film right that could get you exposure odds are you got to do it for free you're going to be underbid by some

famous film composer who also wants the Kudos and so like a lot of bigname composers will actually do [ __ ] for free yeah because they want an Academy Award mhm and they can afford to do it for free cuz they've also done that other thing that they got paid a fortune the gap between the top 10 not even 10% the top 1% and everybody else is [ __ ] enormous likees so much more infinitely more than any kind of normal than the fourth guy down yeah exact yes yeah it's exponentially but it's the same with with directors as well right cuz I when you go to film School you think okay I might not be making [ __ ] Jurassic Park but I'll make some commercials and stuff no cuz [ __ ] rley Scott makes commercials in his spare time he gets

paid more than he gets paid for a film yeah I worked with a stupid number of famous directors just TV commercials in Sydney and I was like why is this a thing oh because they just rake in cash yeah yeah they go out they work for a couple of days and they're done mhm yeah but I was in the weird position for the for Last 5 Years I had my quote unquote dream job where I traveled the world being a [ __ ] director and I [ __ ] hated it because it's stressful it's [ __ ] it's a thankless job like I get more praise more accolades Etc um working my desk job now I'm just working for accolades that's right that was my problem I was working for accolades the whole time and they're like take all the

AAL one day we don't know what those are mate try still looking for them get them for you you know but I'm infinitely more happy well I don't know if more happy but less miserable just working a des job sure yeah yep and you can take world you live in yes [ __ ] it exactly do some things I like yep like this show for example you will we will get you get get you famous on Twitch though Luke yeah for sure we'll make that happen I'll get there get him there just have to remember to actually do it that's the part where I have a problem then quit your day job no it's positive advice to be honest listeners yeah if you if you do have a creative thing you enjoy don't you know there's that advice you just go all in

and [ __ ] ruin your life trying to don't do that not good advice I have worked with people in the past that have gone I don't like this job and so they quit and I'm going why don't you just keep coming to this job that's paying you and just phone it in while you're looking for something else good yeah yeah well I realized a few years ago cuz uh I had a friend and and I'm not going to say his name but you might figure it out by the clues but um when I was trying to be a filmmaker I had one friend who just was also trying to be a filmmaker and was and was all in um and and he didn't have a girlfriend or a house he slept on the floor of his filmmakers Loft you know and all of these things nothing wrong with that and

and then I I thought why can't I be like him like just wanting it as bad I don't and then I'm like yeah cuz you don't want it as bad as him cuz you want a [ __ ] girlfriend and a house and a bed to sleep in not a [ __ ] fut on in your office that's why I us to tell myself sometimes is is like if I really wanted to be doing it [ __ ] 24/7 why wasn't I doing it 24/7 when I could have like there have been periods like when I moved to this country I could have gone all in but I didn't yeah yeah and you didn't not do it because you [ __ ] lack motivation aren't quite what I what I sometimes think they are yeah yeah what is it um Joseph Campbell who said you you've got to let go of the life you planned in

order to embrace the life you have sure yeah as Dumbledore said in uh Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone it doesn't do well to live in dreams and forget to live or to dwell in dreams and forget to live I forget the sh says in the movie Shrek donkey but it's I I think I think it also just goes to to to show that like a regular well-rounded person which I think all three of us are are going to have going to have no but the fact Luke the fact that you're like the fact that you're saying I would rather live a normal life 4 days out of the week and then be a twitch streamer

on one day that's right um I think that's healthy you know I think it's I think it's unhealthy to go no at any cost I want to be a ventriloquist or whatever it is you want the one things I do look at is love L to become V at any cost even though I would not be good at I want to know I want to know how much the number one ventriloquist in the world makes and I guarantee you I have a higher annual that guy's got some [ __ ] confirmation bias story where he's like I just quit my job and I told my wife [ __ ] off and that's what you have to do yeah right yeah and she lives with our kids and her new husband in a beautiful house and I live on the floor of my
