a giant woring penis that's exactly what I'm suggesting yeah yeah y great music in that precursor from 1980 it sounds like Proto 9in nails yeah good use of sound speaking of I've got another movie I want to talk about fantastic of sound I've got one too Matt so if you want to go straight into it oh well I know I talked about this with you guys a little bit on on messenger because I was just so so I watched Beyond the Black rainbow last night and it's the kind of movie where I watched it and then you kind of just want to talk to somebody about it like I mean you've seen it Dan I know Luke you've not probably don't watch it Luke I mean yeah I'm also going to have some words with you about that chat after this okay that's good um no I think Luke if he CU Luke likes watching

things with the sound off so he can do other things like play games while he watches movies no sound no no sound but he doesn't have to pay attention to the dialogue right of which there is very little true while a pacific room so big robots fighting monsters easy I mean this is not that but it is it it is beautiful to watch and listen to yeah it's it's by uh I'm not going to pronounce his name properly the guy Mandy guy yeah yeah except it's if you thought Mandy was weird I think this is weirder cuz it has and it has even less of a plot than Mandy did yeah well it's more independent too by the time he did Mandy there were steak holders yeah I me there is a plot in this but it's pretty loose and you're not going to get a satisfying explanation for anything but

yeah it's [ __ ] beautiful like just I know I poo pooed the shallow depth of field in uh Army of the dead but this is even like a a more extreme example but used in like so effectively like where literally someone's looking at a page and literally just the words that are relevant that they want you to look at yeah is it's just like Raaz a and oh man and so many shots with like reflective surfaces like I'm just looking at pictures of that oh like there's a there's a particular shot where this the woman who works there whatever this The Institute or whatever it is where it is she comes out to have a cigarette and she's in the left of frame and then she's reflected in like the glassy wall

in the middle but then there's like another thing reflected her over on the right and I'm like I I'm not even sure how they did that but it just everything just looks amazing and yeah and the sound and and in in actually that same scene there's like a button that starts flashing and just the sound of everything like the sound design in it is just [ __ ] H like the only the stuff that's relevant makes noises like the scenes are completely silent except for like stuff that's I don't know I don't know how to explain it like what a movie The backgrounds all look very very plain when I'm looking at the pictures like it's not colorful and monochromatic at the same time yeah look it's just like an empty room with someone sitting on a chair and yeah or the backgrounds will

just be light yeah yes and well and in fact the only complaint I had about it was that there is one scene or couple sequence of scenes at towards the end out of place yeah with the two metal head guys that was so odd I don't know why that was in there he wanted to put his friends in it maybe it just didn't match with the look or the feel of the rest of it but whatever yeah no I feel the same h so now I'll I'll talk about the reason why I'm upset about the chat you had about this last night I'm at Fresh had a surgery I'm having trouble focusing painkillers all this stuff you are writing all these very wordy texts and stuff and you expect me to be able to understand and pay attention you know I struggle to read it the best of time you

got to understand all right I got so I'm I'm here by myself I was like I'm going to watch this [ __ ] artsy movie that I've been wanting to watch for ages cuz people keep sending me the soundtrack cuz the soundtrack of this movie is [ __ ] amazing right right and I've heard the soundtrack a million times I'm like I got to watch this movie so I sit down with a with a with a scotch and I have this experience right I [ __ ] loved it I'm sorry Luke I had to talk about it I was here by myself am I going to talk to my dog and I'm like Dan's probably seen this yeah loved it I've got another movie for you if you like sound design and I know you do this one's called The babarian Sound Studio right what and if I had to sum it

up in a three-word sentence I would say haunted audio Booth all right that sells it short it's it's um it's a slow burn and you've got to be prepared to go along with it okay it's uh it's about a British sound designer/ foli artist who gets hired set in the 70s hired to go to Italy and work on an Italian horror movie uh doing the sound design you never see any of the movie you just see him making the effects for it and getting increasingly uncomfortable with what he has to make sound effects for oh okay and starts to question what is this movie why are you making this movie um and and it starts to get a bit mysterious as it goes along very good movie see I got to watch that too I'm also watch just because it came up look I looked up some stuff about be on the

black rainbow online just cuz I was interested in you know checking a few things and people talking about that and um only God forgives which I've not seen being very similar visually only God forgives is yeah they're both kind of influenced by kind of Italian Jello films from the 70s as well like spiria neon lit films I love that [ __ ] yeah so yeah only God forgives us excellent Nicholas wiing Reen you might be watching that tonight intensely violent for anyone listening who goes oh yeah I like neon let films but still on story guy wants to hurt people go it's R goling so yeah looking looking beautiful in a in a tailored blue suit standing in neon light yeah it's excellent and then the neon demon is uh him as well

director I found that yeah yeah I found that less uh satisfying I always want to call him Nicholas winding rein but it's winding isn't it I don't know I've heard it said different ways and I don't think heard him himself say it so I think I say it differently every time and I try to I try to not mid name bet he loves that no one says the same there's a documentary that his wife made on him making I think it's Drive um just about how obsessed he is when he makes a movie um but from the point of view of his wife you know so it's it's a really unique perspective of of a genius Visionary filmmaker what's the one that he did about this the the Centurion or whatever it is I'm sure you've told me about this or am I thinking of a

different filmmaker or are you thinking of are you thinking of Valhalla Rising about the Viking yes maybe maybe is that yeah okay that's the other I'm G to make a note of that cuz that's another one yeah please do you'll love it it's um cuz I remember I was reading about I was like that reminds me Dan kept telling me to watch this movie called just go to IMDb start at the bottom and just watch all of his movies they're all excellent he started with is um he started with a movie called Pusher which is quite good um actually which stars uh what's the name of that's mad M as well right it is it's mads melson in a supporting role but the lead guy is the guy who plays vamir in The Witcher oh in season two of The Witcher yeah but very young obviously it's a 20-year- old movie yeah

right um and uh so he made that and then he wanted to make some other movies but he he couldn't get the money uh so he made pushes two and three uh as well but they're all great but um you should watch those something else that I watched this week which is very good that I think you'll like is Nightmare alley I want to watch that I gotta wait for Jenna but I want to watch that it is good it is very good I'll say this though although it has all the Hallmarks of a gomo deloro movie it's not a horror and I think I was expecting a horror when night in tile I know right um it's definitely just a drama right but it's it's very good and it's creepy and weird but it's not Pan's Labyrinth or Devil's Backbone or any it's it's it's it's it's

just that I'm glad you said that because I actually I I thought there was a supernatural element to it but I don't know why I thought that now that you've said that no no no I did as well and I think it's it's fair to just assume but I was the whole way I was expecting it to get really weird and never did it's excellent and actually the ending it's one of those movies where the ending made me just feel like I wanted to go back and watch the movie again from the start you know and like I've spent days thinking about it since and that's the sign of a of a good movie yeah well I be on the black rainbow did that for me too just been thinking about it very cool let's talk about a there any movies that Luke might want to watch cuz I'm not sure he's going to want to watch any

of what we're talking about um no no do you like I think the only movie that I'm looking forward to coming out even soon is the Batman oh yeah yeah it's about two three weeks oh man another trailer came up for that I'm like just release the [ __ ] movie I didn't to trailer five now I'm not watching them anymore but there is I mean it's kind of precedent has been set now and uh there is a movement online of fans of Batman Forever to release the shoe mark cut is there a Shaker cut apparently there is Joel Schumaker reckons that they have they have cut some some of his uh you know favorite scenes out of it and that it was you know longer and is is Joel Shaker not dead I thought he died around I don't know I'm going to have to Google that now Jo scho marker I

had to Google the other day if sha connory was still alive because I had a fake memory that he died but yeah but then was like well why am why I why am I not sadder about this like why am I not thinking about Sean con's death every day he did he died d two years ago yeah okay I remember that okay well I mean look Shaka cut I mean jeez I mean I I said at the very start that SN cut was the worst thing they ever did yeah and this is why this is why well look like maybe maybe maybe it's better the way that he he envisioned it and then they theal I don't see how it could be but I mean I this I mean this is by far not the worst of his Batman movies but he one who introduced nipples to yeah he is

the worst thing that ever happened to Batman yeah men men didn't have them until schuma invented them yeah we just we just needed a gay director of Batman to say I want to see I want to see the package and I want to see the nips yeah well I mean look if they release it I'll watch it cuz I'm I am interested but uh I yeah I like I can only imagine it's going to be more like Batman and Robin than than Batman Forever was and that wasn't good no that wasn't good did he only just do the two yeah I'm the same I'll watch it but I'm not asking for it I'm also wasn't Jim Cary a big part of making Batman Forever what the mess that it was anyway didn't they say that he was such a pain in the ass I so yeah I mean he he essentially Wanted the movie to be just the Riddler chewing the

scenery and that's essentially what it is I know he and um what can't I think ofm Tommy Le Jones He and Tommy Lee Jones didn't get along for obvious I think by don't get along you mean Tommy Lee Jones thought he was an incipit prick yeah yes yeah Tommy Lee Jones who was a quite a serious and accomplished actor was like why the [ __ ] am I in this yeah yeah and I think he also understood that the villains in Batman are there to do crimes for Batman to solve not the other way around Batman's not just the garnish on the top of the Riddler cake uh Jim Carrey can connect to be fair he is from what I from what I understand he is a [ __ ] pain in the ass I believe he's had quite a

turnaround and if you watch Modern interviews with him he's just like I'm not that guy anymore I don't feel the need to impress anyone and it kind of all came from a place of anxiety and self Lo to begin with well I remember even seeing interviews from him like years and years ago when he was in school he like he was he was given like half an hour at the end of the day to go up and just be an idiot tell jokes and do stuff so he wouldn't interrupt the class throughout the day yeah wow [ __ ] hell and so just I think used and then you hear the story so I think he was just used to getting his own way and just being who he was and then when he wasn't the star yeah yeah I remember when um when he and Lauren hly got divorced and she did an

interview and people were saying oh he must have been he must have been fun and she was like he's not fun he's [ __ ] painful he won't you won't shut up you can't have a serious conversation with him about anything CU he just starts doing impressions of other people and it's a [ __ ] nightmare and I was like yeah makes sense I think I think the same the same thing was said by um Peter cis's wife almost random she's like I'll try to talk to him and he'll just start doing an accent and just yeah argue with me as another character actually and uh Drew Barrymore said that about Tom Green yeah cuz they were together for a while were like why why did you leave him she's like cuz it wasn't funny anymore yeah he used to hide in the house for hours at a time so he could jump out at

her at some point [ __ ] hell so anyway Tom Green Man wow yeah talk about a flash in a pan somebody I saw a video online about how uh you know like Joe Rogan in particular is very popular doing the podcas thing now but actually Tom Green did basically what Joe Rogan's doing like years ago but and but I had people calling in and like doing all this stuff but it just never caught on cuz they weren't podcasts it was kind of like a Public Access TV thing and Joe Rogan was on it and there was a clip of them talking about and Joe going this is really great I really like what you're doing here I feel like this could be really I'm gonna steal it well and then yeah I mean yeah steals probably not I had no idea who Joe Rogan was until his

podcast and then I realized I'd seen him every week cuz I used to watch was that sitc he was on news radio was it news radio he was he was in news radio and he was in uh Fear Factor over here which I think we did have in the in Australia a little bit was like people had to go do stuff it didn't like like have SPID yeah but I had to retroactively piece that all together to kind of work out who Jo he was not a big celebrity in Australia I don't think well he [ __ ] is now yeah he's [ __ ] everyone knows him and he's just turned down 100 million yeah but I find this funny because Rumble which is this kind of right-wing platform that they're trying to set up because all these kind of right alt-right guys get kicked off Twitter and all of these other services so

they're trying to start their own little Echo chamber but they've offered him $1 million to come over there and be an antivaxer and he's like I'm not rightwing I just I don't he's trying to he's trying to convince everybody he's not antix that would probably not work but uh also think the other thing is is Spotify he's probably his contract probably wouldn't allow him to oh I oh yeah for non compete clause for sure yeah absolutely unless they breached it on him like if they canceled him and then he took $100 million that that'd be great for him like half with all those twitch streamers who Microsoft paid to come over offered them a foot Hune then shut down mixer and then they all went back and kept their money yeah yeah that's the kind of deal you want mind you when

you've got it cuz I think he he made about $100 million on the spoy fire deal didn't he I mean I'm sorry if I'm naive but when you've got $100 million are there things you can't buy that you need another $100 million for there was an and we talked about this at the time there were articles saying Joe Rogan's an idiot he could have made so much more money you know staying independent he would have just had to do a bit more work and it's like why why not just do less work that's right he's basically retired now yeah yeah and the thing is the thing you also got to look at it's not just he got $100 million it's his company right so he he's still got all of his employees and yeah but he's fine now like he well he's fine unless he goes stupid like well he's gone a bit

stupid with spending I mean all right okay CU I mean there's other things that have come out my favorite thing that that happened this week was the rock came out and went no I stand with Joe Rogan because uh Joe Rogan is uh you know saying what he what he feels there's nothing wrong with that free country fre of spech a bit more of what he was saying yeah yeah then indiai came out and went I've cut together [ __ ] 50 times that Jo Rogan has used the nword in the last year and uh yeah The Rock was like oh yeah okay that clip that clip not not even those right so he's he's I was just talking about the nword which is why I used it and obviously you know and people are saying well you just just don't use it why do you need to use it right fair enough

just we should just not use it fair enough especially because when you when you're talking about the n-word people know what you say when you say the nword yeah you don't need to say it there's no reason unless you're being racist that you would want to say it why would you want you don't need to say it no especially now we all know what that word is right yes I understand where you're coming from you want to talk about that time in history or whatever you just don't need to say the word there's no need don't worry about it we we know we got you but the other one that he and then he apologized and he was like oh yeah it certainly sounded like I was being racist [ __ ] did when he told that story about going to see Planet of the Apes and he said he walked

into Planet of the Apes cuz he was the only white guy there yeah that does sounded a bit racist Joe yeah and he was like oh I wasn't implying that black people look like gorillas and I like you imp what did you mean by that then that's what other meaning can we glean from that he he said oh it certainly sounded bad it sure did Joe definely did yeah 100% sounded bad [ __ ] hell see that's an apology trying to say yes I've acknowledged it and but not going into too much detail about it yeah he's very good at that I think he was just he was just an edgy joke right and yeah trying to sound cool but you should and and and this is the thing it depends when that joke is being told yeah yeah yeah if he's saying this joke this year then he's not learned anything right yeah I

these are all fairly old clips I mean isn't not whoopy Goldberg is still just turning out the uh I mean and it's not to say that it was acceptable to make a joke like that back then but it was like slightly less well acceptable is a strange term because many was acceptable yeah that's what I'm trying to say is it's no not acceptable but just more like you could do that and people would be like oh he doesn't mean it but now we've all agreed it doesn't really matter if you mean it or not you just don't do it well it was still racist it's just that the world tolerated a certain amount of racism right but like even doing ironically we've agreed don't do that either just don't do it yeah just shut up about it and that's thing like I'm I'm all for like we shouldn't

be trying to get people fired and everything for stuff they did 10 15 20 years ago absolutely that doesn't make world was different but if they're still doing it then definitely and the reason for it is why you sort of can't make these jokes now is even if it is a joke and you know it's a joke and other people know joke there are people out there who don't think it's a joke that go and that it becomes easier for them to go become more racist because well they're saying this so I can say this or even people that do know it's a joke but are the victims of that joke or the butt of that joke that are like it's just not [ __ ] funny like yeah I get that you're joking I don't think you're an actual racist but don't make racist saying a word that you're not allowed to

say that's not a joke it's not a good joke anyway Dave Chappelle talking about when he when he left right when he wanted walked off he said part of it was that he was doing sketches that were race racial right and there were people on the crew that were laughing and he became paranoid and and acutely aware that sometimes people were laughing not with him like the skit he was doing he could tell just some of the laughs he was like that's not the funny bit that's the racist bit and it started and it just started you know it just started to eat at him so it's that kind of thing it's like that character and right they're not laugh in for the reason he wants you to laugh and so that's he got upset and I think that's what you're saying luk is it's a joke but some

people some people are just laughing because they're racist well that was the criticism lodged at me by my wife who would listen back to older episodes of this show and go you know being ironic Matt knows you're being ironic Luke knows you're being ironic not all your listeners are as smart as you yeah well just not on they don't know us the way that like they don't know you the way I know you or that Luke knows you Luke's told us to stop it plenty of times and you know we're getting better now I've got Clips I've got audio clips in my back pocket if he ever gets too high and mighty well but that's because you know we came from a place it's not an excuse but we came from a place where it was common and it's just you know here what it is we're trying to be

better which is why I was dis try Luke's trying to be even better than we are yeah that's right I was disappointed this week um somebody that I like very much uh Sam Harris um oh yeah came out and uh said I think Joe Rogan should be able to use the NW all he wants because the more we avoid the n-word the more power we give to the nword and it's like be that as it may Sam I think we're past that as a society I think we don't we just don't need to say that word anymore path of thinking myself in the past as well and totally yeah I've thought about it and but yeah it's no it doesn't work because giving the if you give that pass to everyone to use it there are people who are going to use it as that take

down on that I just don't I mean why do you need to why do you need to like oh we need to be able to talk about it you can still talk about it you don't have to say it like I don't know I just don't quite get it and I think yeah I need to we don't need bberry fin just right just print it with an ellipsis after the end point out that despite all of that that he said he still didn't use the nword he called it the N word exactly mhm so he was still didn't he still wasn't up for saying it so yeah yeah um I know it's it's definitely still not cool to quote Louis CK but um but he often says that he hates the nword and he he doesn't mean the word he means the phrase the nword cuz he's should mean the word no cuz he's like now you're

making you're making me think the word yeah I like that um that Bill Burr sketch where he says you know when you're out in public and someone's telling you a story and then that moment you know the nword coming cuz they start looking around like this in the middle of the story another guy looks around the room bills like don't you say it don't you make me complic in this don't you say it mhm yeah we got some other followup uh and I thought this was inter you guys talked about it when I was not here I think about Fight Club and about the happy ending to fight club that where somebody has a a schizophrenic experience and then gets help and the and the government the police arrests everybody and stops the

to that's absolutely nothing blows up at the end yeah I know that movie yeah s in China yeah so apparently after after the backlash they've uh they've put the original inning back which surprised me cuz I don't that's it yeah cuz normally China don't back down well here's the thing so that's what I thought that's exactly what I thought too and then I read further into this it wasn't the Chinese government censorship that changed the ending to this in this case it was the streaming platform that that published this movie that edited themselves yeah that were just like what I'm an end rightly so I'm sure there's a reason for the paranoia that went well we can't put this up with this ending so let's just and it's not like they did

anything creative they just stopped the movie before the end and some text came up on screen to say what after yeah that's right no not even actually right it's because yeah that they it was just that he went and got uh help with his mental issues and the police arrested everybody apprehended the police saw through the plot yeah important piece that the police were smart enough to figure out and they'd been watching them for some time and uh didn't didn't allow any crimes to occur yeah yeah but China are in this strange transitional period right now where they're you know they're communist but they're also one of the greatest capitalist powers in the world right now and yeah that they're still trying to find out who they are in the 21st century one thing I'm just reading

that was a very in exciting intense sequence but for me I was like I don't know who that guy is what I what is is after d Jango Fett died I think that's who sort of took him under his wing to sort of train him why not mention that then why why not have I haven't seen that [ __ ] thing why not have Boba Fett tell Mando and then I know you know what I mean yeah that's right everything elseed if you ask me there that bit where he walks out and he like tells him the Pikes killed your friends not the the tus sorry the the Pikes killed the Tuscan Raiders before Boba Fett came to the town so they knew he was going to come to the town and try and take over or sorry what the [ __ ] is the plot yeah awful I didn't understand that but then they had that t stand off outside and

then he came back in that would have been a perfect opportunity for Mando to say who the [ __ ] was that guy yeah and then he raised me yeah he's a bounty hunter as well he raised me okay we're on the same page yeah for a guy who talked a lot in the first four episodes he certainly left a lot out of the last one yeah but [ __ ] me man when when those kind of [ __ ] all those gangsters are just chatting and I don't even know who's who but when they're all just chatting about what their plans were and what they' done I'm like this is like the scripts I used to write in high school where the characters just told each other what they're thinking and what they're going to do and what the is I'm also going to throw this out there instead of when he Bob Fett runs off to

choreograph dances with tus Raiders yeah yeah in in what is the worst and most insulting not just part of Star Wars I hated this more than any prequel right mhm um then we get episode five an episode of the Mandalorian the Mandalorian season three episode one as far as I'm concerned amazing yeah I liked it I've spoken to people who didn't like it they didn't like you know the fact that they went on about that Naboo Fighter for so long and and stuff like that and you know that's fine I liked it so yeah no problem with that no problem with that I'm a little upset that when he did get the armor made for baby Yoda it wasn't a helmet I was really hoping it was going to be a helmet and I'm disappointed that I thought all along it was a little chain

mail cuz they showed a whole bunch of little rings and I was like oh is it chain mail and then they were like you don't know what it is I'm like oh okay it's something cool and it's like no it's the chain mail it's chain mail so yeah I'm also disappointed with that it's the chain mail from Lord of the Rings it's a crossover all right okay put a pin in that M I'm into that I also thought that was good cuz it's still explaining stuff about the Mandalorian and The Sword and the problem baby Yoda's head is bigger than his body should have given him some a helmet would have been more you do it up at the back you do it up oh you mean cuz it's a bigger Target yeah just shoot him in the head I thought you meant how did he put giant cute head okay so then there was

the next episode episode six I have things I really like and things I don't really like about that episode overall the ant robots what yeah I I thought that was interesting but here's the thing they established that in Star Wars law droids are essentially slaves they're they're the analog for slaves so Luke had his [ __ ] scho bu by um when he could just use the force I didn't really get that yeah yeah where did he even get them bought them at a slave auction M flew them there in his I didn't like the fact that because because grou is a slow Walker Luke will just occasionally just [ __ ] speed him up to be next to him I thought that was incredibly condescending don't why do we have that Luke in it again at

all now he looked a lot better he looked a lot better I don't care when he he he landed and he went and Luke and Gru were not there and then Ahsoka showed up and I was like good I don't want Luke in the show like that was a nice little thing at the end of season 2 I don't need Luke to be a [ __ ] character on the show I know why I think I know why because they worked out for Mand the next Mand needs to have baby Yoda back so there has to be a reason what happened and they they were like too [ __ ] weak to commit to what they committed to and then not only that like okay so Mando's like I want to give him this armor and then they're like nah you can't give it to him he's like well I'll just leave it here and then you figure it out I I guess I'll go right and then Luke for some reason

because he's a prick I guess he's a total [ __ ] manipulative [ __ ] yeah choose between the lightsaber and the armor right he already chose that's why he's there right why are you doing this also grou had nothing to do with this Mando just [ __ ] showed up and was like I want to give him this right I don't know it's just so weird yeah and she's like what so you so he remembers you and like yeah maybe that but also it's protective and I'm trying to [ __ ] protect him yeah yeah like and then luks like you want you're out of here I need to talk to him no he's like okay I'll leave it and go it's more important that he has it than that he sees me I'll go and Luke's like not enough got to throw it in the bin I want to see you throw it in the

bin piss on it no piss on it again tell me you love me more and again this is just reinforcing the Miss what they've missed with do with the the Jedi is them going CU they they're still reinforcing the fact that Jedi can have no relations no commitment they have to be no family and stuff they're still committing to that which is what Luke already chose both that's what Luke's victory was he chose both he chose his friends and he still succeeded and now now he's being a [ __ ] about it Luke also refused to accept that there was just a light and a dark side he was like no Darth Vader you're a [ __ ] mass murderer but I see good in you mhm but not you kloen back

Tata at first I was like exactly at first I was like [ __ ] off and then I was like oh wait R2 fluid it's fine but still still right the the [ __ ] hatch opens he stands up to reveal himself then when they actually look in you realize there's no way he could have stood up and he's just sitting there on that I don't know that should have been the reveal they didn't need him like [ __ ] floating up yeah also we all knew he was going to do that we all knew what this was it was a way of getting him back in for season 3 like and I'm okay with this I love how my favorite thing is how [ __ ] he's so animated until someone picks him up and then he's a puppet like you know what I mean just reverts instantly there was several times where he walked and and he

there like Fast action stuff's going on then we just see grou walking and it's like oh man all right they chose to linger on that I'm also making a prediction go on that in the next season baby grou baby Yoda will have he's actually stolen the lightsaber and he's got it with him and it'll come out at some point cuz he's a little klepto yeah true true yeah he's like he likes the Ste I hope you mean the next season of man Mandan and you don't mean the next season going be another season of Bob F I [ __ ] hope not no he'll be too many memes of like a banther like a awful like a banther [ __ ] hell awful so so bad so

bad yeah look I know we have listeners who enjoy it and you know and I'm sure PE it just I think if you enjoyed maybe the Clone Wars Maybe you liked it I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that I just didn't it's just not what I like about Star Wars and it annoyed me we were just a wrong age for the Clone Wars I just don't understand yeah cuz we watched Star Wars droids that was the cartoon we had in the'80s and Ewoks Ewoks Ewok Adventures car courage which was actually a little bit scary when I was it was Caravan courage yeah because it was kids kids were in trouble yeah a giant monster have they addressed why rou is so developmentally challenged because I I keep forgetting like when when uh Mando comes in he's like I'm looking for

a little baby I'm like no you're looking for a 50y old man like well he just aged slow I live I get that they live long but why do they learn so slowly that's what I that's just a decision they made so Yoda was 900 right meaning so they're about 10 times they aged about 10 times slow which means is five five five so okay so but what age no cuz I thought the whole thing was Yoda was so wise because he was 900 years old not because his he was so developmentally challenged that he didn't become a 90y old man until he was 800 you remember even if you look at humans humans are pretty much useless okay so that's what I want to know at

what point in Yoda's 900e life did he become an intelligent adult I'm GNA say 400 100 150 is very ramp up I don't know I think you have a baby at the moment yeah that's not one yet but so if my daughter if my daughter behaves like baby Yoda when she's five we're going to have words yeah I still just like to think when he's walking around drinking from the cup he's drinking coffee yeah yeah I think he's putting on a bit of an act that I think so too yeah cuz I also like to say baby out

[ __ ] you know he gets it you uh you need to get some T-shirts printed that say that baby out of fox yeah so that's that's it oh yeah and he there was a Rancor and it was bad I did not like that oh yeah it was really it was terrible it was awful I I did laugh things I I just you reminded me I did laugh when baby Yoda you thought baby Yoda was gonna do something kind of Epic and he sort of did but he just pulled a little bolt out that made me laugh I enjoy like that was a funny little gag where you thought he was thought it was going to be like he's going to crush the robot into like a cube or something like that and he pulled a little bolt out and then it fell over when he put the rain sleep and then St it up next to him yeah that was

excellent I liked that ridiculous Vance is back which is good cuz I quite like his character and I want to see more of him definitely give him a [ __ ] show not a Trilogy hold on Trilogy no one's asking for trilogies I don't know if he I don't know if he could hold a show on his own he's a great little side side character though is I want to see more of him in a few more episodes but not a full that one episode in I think was the first episode of the second season of Mando that that he came in was just so good when you see Mando on his bike and that just pans over and you see cob BCE on a bigger bike no more um more of that assistant to the mayor that guy was [ __ ] annoying oh god the twet guy get rid of him yeah because it's

like am I just watching a [ __ ] balls through the wall comedy now am I oh and then at the end when what I can't remember her name um she kills all of the pike all the leaders and the mayor and everybody why didn't she just do that earlier well she was traveling there it was taking her a while to get there but she could have done that the week before yeah three episodes earlier yeah yeah yeah please please never never ever have a end that mod gang ever ever again we don't we don't have to go on about it but I actually I don't mind the actress no she's great no she's great it's not their fault it's not that I don't mind any of them they just shouldn't be there they shouldn't have Cockney accents and [ __ ] stove pipe jeans and [ __ ]

scooters I just remember the gorian scooters should not be so good clean and pristine that sequence where they launch where all the various groups launched the attack and it was just always like five people and I was like this is this is bad this looks bad and then they pushed the gmoran off the cliff yeah I was like this it looks bad it looks like TV and that was the thing about Mandalorian it was it was Cinema quality it wasn't TV quality but now this this just looks like Star Trek I was actually thinking about that was the fact that they only had those small groups maybe something do with the fact they filming through Co and they were trying to limit the amount of people yeah yeah actually that's fair point yeah that's fair because also it was

contrast that with the latest stuff with the rancor climbing up like [ __ ] King Kong it's like it's not like they can't do CG like that stuff looks great it's just that that those little bits were so odd it's like I feel sorry for those camoran guards yeah they just do what they're told you're a boss okay we yeah they got no no free will they just they're just drone workers their makeup didn't look real crash hot either but then it didn't in the original so I want to know wasn't this more just they got some heavier guys and painted them green I love that cuz I I always think that like we just need two guys with like dead set dad bods to uh put this mask but you're right the masks or the makeup however you want to

say it across the board in this I didn't like very much and what I don't they they weren't very articulate and I don't understand why they didn't just dubb their voices back over anyone wearing a mask cuz you it sounded like they wearing a mask unless it was it may have it's possible it was a creative decision cuz that's how it was in The Originals maybe like no in The Originals almost everyone got dubbed oh yeah like even Freo it was his voice but they still redubbed him V was a redubbed them but dubbed them with that mask to make it sound like they were still they put the mask on in the booth are you sure about this y yep Mr Rodriguez for authenticity now Excuse me while I [ __ ] sell

like even even Ahsoka says to Luke in in the episode this season of Fett oh you're a lot like your father and I was like do that mean yeah well well AA was Anakin's Apprentice what's that yeah but if you don't know's Apprentice I know that I know that but I don't have any context for what she just said like in in what way is he like him what like I just don't I have yeah like it's it's not a really nice thing to say hey my father who I've known for murdering millions of people and you're saying I'm a lot like that's like saying to Hitler's you're just like your dad no not the Jew killer that everyone knows the person I knew 20 years ago yeah that you don't know anything about but then that's that's my fault not theirs I suppose it's like if I just it isn't

yeah but it was about a different character and it was Star Wars adjacent but it wasn't Star Wars As We Knew It It Felt Like a Star Wars but it felt like a new and different why I think Rogue one did so great because yes yes it did have Darth Vader tking in it but it wasn't the main characters and in fact most of that Vader stuff was added later that wasn't Gareth edwards's uh original cut didn't it could not had him I don't I don't I enjoyed that stuff but it could have not been in there would have still been good yeah and yeah I know I think we talked about this the other week but I agree with what you said Luke they made the Mandalorian and he was just Boba Fett and so then they were like well what do we do with Boba Fett then now that they want us to make a Boba Fett show let's

make him everyone's friend cuz everyone was waiting like if you look at the buzz online everyone was like when he takes off that helmet you're going to find out it's Boba Fett no no um speaking of Rogue one didn't is a Cassie and Andor show like two [ __ ] years ago that's they just announced the second season of it too I but that's what I mean they made this before Mandalorian where the [ __ ] is it why have they shed this for so long coming after Kenobi I think it's next one after Kenobi I think they filmed it and cuz like I said I think they just announced that there'll be two seasons at least it so yeah well let's let's see what the first season's like Disney cuz we know what you guys are like like you just you'll scrap anything hopefully there's not too many

characters that i' never seen in my life that don't explain who they are that would be well no I'm hoping that there are a lot of characters I've never seen before but that's because no one's seen them yeah yes we're all finding out together what I was reading one of the I think it's him coming back and also mon MMA okay okay see and Mak sense and I'm not want it clear I'm not saying you can't have characters who are in the cartoons that's fine but you kind of just just give us a bit of you know a grounders a little bit like like mon mothma was in um Rogue one right and they didn't explain who mon motha was but he didn't need to know because it was never relevant she was just there if if if her having been there when they blew up the Death Star was what well I

don't know cuz it hadn't happened yet but but like if there was a reason that you needed to know who she was for the plot to make sense and they didn't tell you that would have been a problem yeah yeah have some cameos so that fans have both go o I like that character and here they are but if it's important to the plot just give us a quick summary yeah have a pivotal scene based on lots of backstory that half the people watching will not understand yeah cuz we're literally sitting there going what are they talking about I I yeah I was probably in a better position cuz I did know a little bit about him but I've seen bits and pieces of Clone Wars but cuzz that's the other thing one of my complaints I said this in WhatsApp but now I understand more why but I was confused that episode

where they introduced him it opened with Timothy olant shooting the spice Pike the pike guys who were getting the spice right and I was like oh it's like a little good bad the ugly reference with the shootout and stuff but then it did it again with the guy with the hat and I was like oh no Timothy olant is not the cleint Eastwood character that guy's the cleint Eastwood character and I was very confused because I didn't know who that guy was and I guess that you wouldn't have had that confusion if knew who he was so this might be a completely dumb question but is Boba Fett in the Clone Wars cartoon yeah yes he is from what is he a good guy or a bad guy cuz in the [ __ ] movies he's a bad guy like no question he's a bad he's he's a bounty hunter still okay so it was only in this that

is also very good about um people that can have remote shared sensory experiences uh also very cool um okay but he died this week a that's not good almost ad but he's an absolute Pioneer in terms of cinematography and um special effects look I think I'm going to give it to him did that whoa all right for 100 grand he worked on he worked on 2001 and I'm yeah he worked on one movie but he went on did other stuff one movie he doesn't want A Space Odyssey not even that impressive anybody who went into the business of special effects visual effects cinematography knows loves and his influenc by Douglas trumple totally 2001 A Space Odyssey influenced pretty much everything so

certain a certain dividend that we didn't reach and so we're suing for the rest of that money and I I don't think there's any malice here or anything like that this is dumb I I mean this is what I hate about the American legal system is that you just Sue each other for literally they owed some money and they just have to do this to get it they think they owed some money yeah this is this is just in America this is how you get money from right because if it was just in theaters it probably would have done better even though it was it bombed yeah still garbage but that's nothing to do with it right I watched a a video review of it the other day and the person was saying that a lot of lot of people have been arguing that that it's actually a

brilliant movie because they made it bad on purpose and he was like why does that make it good yeah it's still it's still just bad like I don't understand what I've seen bad movies that are made to be bad and that was not one of them they made that thinking it was going to be good oh yeah in fact I watched I watched a movie this week called the editor have you seen this it's on do you have shutter yeah yeah it's on there the editor yeah it's called the editor um it's this group of guys kind of like we were back in the day that was just making short films and stuff um but the editor is about the a [ __ ] film editor who um lost three fingers and therefore can't edit the way he used to um and uh he works in this uh Film

Production that's this making this horror movie but then people start being killed on set and they three fingers are cut off in every instance so of course he's the prime suspect but it is is it is parody yeah it is good but it's also ridiculous and silly but but very worth watching he got Udo Kier in it I'm all right maybe I'll watch that tonight instead no wait for Jenna wait for Jenna for this one all right yeah yeah yeah Fair okay yeah yeah UD is it recent yeah I think it's well seven seven or eight years ago I think okay I wonder is he is he still alive I think so oh God I hope he's still alive I like UD yeah it's me too he's 77 now oh okay actually that's probably younger than I thought he might

be considering he's still in stuff he's in Swan Song which I've not seen I think he's the lead in swans song I think this is his um still doing stuff like magnum opus he's in a movie called swansong if you my neighbor Adolf he's in the ark and Iron Sky story and he's in a TV show called Hunters where he plays Adolf Hitler I oh Hunters is that Amazon he has a he has a yes well he's German you know I know I think if you're a German actor eventually you're going to be asked to play a Nazi I don't know IES play a very good Nazi in Iron Sky and and what oh yeah and he's Nazi adjacent in just about anything although maybe that's just my perception of him well he's just a villain in a lot of stuff and so it's kind of like I guess yeah and apparently

he's up for it too which I guess possibly a lot of actors wouldn't be oh yeah literally anything probably won't play Hitler thanks for asking though udo's like yeah [ __ ] it I'll do it yeah yeah has Udo Kier ever been in an U ball film H cuz I think question Far Cry film uh who oh oh he's in Far Cry is he I don't know but when I Google both their names Far Cry comes up yes he is in Far Cry in Far Cry did you did you guys watch the Far Cry movie no I've seen Clips oh he's in uh he's in bloodborne as well I even forgot that was a movie sorry blood rain blood R blood rain he is in blood rain as well

which I did watch I must admit I did watch blood cuz I was going to say in um uh house of the dead he got a he got some good you know horror people in there it had um didn't I have [ __ ] Ron Howard's brother in it actually maybe I'm mistaken oh yeah it did yeah yeah yeah so Udo Udo U used to get a lot of good people because he had oh yeah getting yeah getting people to be in the films was not his problem yeah yeah it was making them yeah it was having it was having the lead character be a farmer named farmer yeah for example yeah and then all of the stuff that happened after that in the movie yeah and then literally the whole movie yeah yeah yeah but it was Jason Stan so

you know yeah getting the person wasn't the problem go and watch your [ __ ] visards in the forest [ __ ] do you VES are not real George Clooney and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pit they are laughing at you and [ __ ] each other in the ass oh man at the same time or Miss uall I love that we've around had legitimate conversations with him too I miss him just being around making grumpy videos I know har Potter and [ __ ] I don't like many of his films but I love him as a human being he just doesn't give a [ __ ] and he's M and he's he's corre about Hollywood correct about Hollywood but he's and he just doesn't care what he says he'll say [ __ ] anything but
