Achievement Obsolescence: Starfield Delayed & Spinal Tap 2 Sequel

three months ago Xbox or Microsoft announced that they were going to stop support for the Windows Phone Xbox achievements okay and I still have my Windows phone I still had some achievements I need to get yeah and I will get to I've got plenty of time and now it's shutting down in two days right so you're busy this weekend then by the sounds of it I don't know what to do welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things [Applause] nerdy I don't really want to play my Windows phone when I've got my Xbox series X so for listeners who don't who won't haven't been around long enough to remember this you did literally carry an

extra phone just for this purpose right this is not a phone that you used just to get a jice yeah like a you didn't use it as a phone never used as a phone I used to take pictures cuz it had an awesome camera all right and I used to get achievements on it but that was about it so it was actually it wasn't too bad a phone well then why didn't you just use it that's I was just about to ask you if it had the games you wanted it's got a good camera and I mean I assume it could make phone calls and send text messages what couldn't it do I already had another phone okay I brought the phone specifically to go on my honeymoon so I could get achievements while I were in Japan okay cuz back then I had my Xbox streak going yes that's right all right cuz you you you use an

Android phone well I guess it worked out cuz Windows phone is gone now right it's just doesn't exist anymore yes yeah just yeah what about that foldy phone thing they made is that gone there a did Microsoft make a a foldy did Microsoft make a foldy phone yeah I'm sure they did micros sof foldy not sure if they did phone the surface Duo yeah they're still selling it ah yeah that's that yeah that that's not a phone though I mean you're right looking at it it's not but okay fair enough yeah that's actually uh uh yeah a tablet SL PC in air

quotes with a phone in it oh there is yeah I mean it makes phone calls a window pH no no it's it's Android so that's yeah good point H yeah yeah yeah yeah this is the not crazy cuz we have to be nice to Microsoft cuz I want them to give me free stuff in the future can't talk bad about them well we've got some bad news about Microsoft this week oh yes I saw this I'm still coming to terms with it yeah so it's it's it's Bethesda technically yeah uh who are owned by Microsoft but they've delayed their two big games Starfield and redfall which the thing that annoys me about it is they've come out not long ago and said we're still on track for November release don't worry about

rumors don't worry just don't worry about it yeah don't worry about it it's fine Starfield red fall I don't know much about but Starfield this is what I'm looking forward to we don't know much about Starfield either that's why this is like I mean I'm not I wasn't so surprised because it's like well have they even shown any gameplay yet like no I think the first gameplay we we're probably still going to see game play on the 13th of June when they do their showcase yeah yeah that's that's probably true we probably still will but I mean I'm just not surprised by the delay they call it oh I'm not bothered by it be honest no I'm actually cuz with normally with perity games they are quite buggy yes maybe this is because they are so

big maybe they were like well we ship it in November with the you know as in the state that we usually ship games and then maybe Phil Spencer was like okay if we were to ship it not in that state how long would it take you let's just pretend we did ship it in November when would the first patch come out early 2023 let's ship it then then look yeah like just take take your time cuz um I think the space travel you can't get that wrong sure you can't have that too buggy I don't think I think that's where if I can't get from one planet to another planet you've done it wrong I'm I'm wonder if we're going to get to land on plets or if it's going to be a cut scene

there's so many questions we haven't seen a goddamn thing except like some pre-rendered stuff and even that was not much like I I guess it's Skyrim in space but I don't know it is it's it's Skyrim slout not Fallout yeah Fallout in space yeah that that's that's what it's going to be I'm just looking it's the the Showcase is actually called the Xbox and Bethesda showcase oh all right so they're like is weird so it would be very strange if there were no Bethesda games shown yes yeah all right and and these are the two strange they're calling it The Bethesda unless they're just going to announce Skyrim for something else Skyrim for Windows Phone that would be impressive oh they've already done the series ex update haven't they yes they did they I bought

it cuz I had fishing yeah that's not I'm joking that's not why I bought it I bought it cuz I'm stupid have you played it yes briefly yes briefly briefly did did you get to the fishing oh God no that sounds boring yeah there's so many GES that have fishing these days I know it's almost like yeah they just kind of had to I guess it's a requirement now like all the Far Cry games oh yeah Far Cry 5 and six have fishing I didn't know six did but yeah I knew five does something else has fishing too I forgotten what it is something I'm playing another there fishing games yeah yeah what was that

one Durk something when we played at uh yeah pack whatever it was the VR one but people are being really intense about this delay like really intense and saying [ __ ] like oh Microsoft's got no games Xbox is a toilet console like nothing for Game Pass and like being really intense about it like it's a what I don't know like I there's like a lot of like two games massive fail Xbox has no games I don't know it's weird and it's nothing to do to me this isn't an Xbox pro issue this would have happened whether it was on Xbox if it was still coming to Playstation what if they had longer like yeah I don't know I just and yeah I guess I don't see it that way it's not like I'm happy for them to just release them when they're

ready and have them be better but I don't know maybe maybe I'm crazy I think I don't know people people complain about Crunch and that company should be be treating their their employees better and all this and then when they oh sorry we have to delay this game because what do you mean you let them take their time and spend time with their families you piece of [ __ ] you promised me a game yeah yeah and then now Phil Spencer says he hears the feedback and I'm like don't listen too much to the feedback pH yeah just don't listen just just tune it out do you best to just ignore it yeah yeah yeah whatever the game come out still I mean hopefully if they cancel it that would that would obviously that would be worse that's a different story

if they cancel it now yeah I'll be saying something to Phil Spencer and then he'll listen big meanie wa whoa whoa you can't say that Luke you can't say that I'm sorry I take it back I retract my statement that's mean that's meanest rude yeah so I have not played a lot of games this week so I don't have a much other gaming news oh I I played Ghostbusters the remember when they remastered Ghostbusters like years ago yeah you just randomly sitting up by console taking up space Oh okay and I'm I'm getting sick of having to delete games to install stuff do you have so I'm starting to go through my back catalog you have one of the EXP expansion cards yeah I assume they that's full

yeah yeah I figured yeah I don't God that expansion car was expensive cuz I have all my non series X Games on an SSD external and then just the you know I should do that the ones that require the fast Disc Go on the internal yeah that's how I do it I've got I've got my old external hard drive there I don't know why I don't do that I don't know why you don't do it either is it an SSD no doesn't require an SSD it doesn't require one but they're faster and the load times are better just putting that out there I'm the patient person really you're such an enigma no I I was like oh he's definitely going to care about this no oh I know as long as I get the achievement eventually I don't care I'll wait on the loading

screen all right oh I could if it's if I can get into my head like it's an Xbox One game I have to wait a little bit while for it to load I'll probably be fine with that all right Xbox One a little bit slower Xbox 3 fast well forget I mentioned it then uh we got some followup on the Academy Awards I thought this was interesting remember I talked about how and I think we've talked about since too the fact that Zach Snider won two awards at the Academy Awards he won fan favorite and uh for uh Army of the Dead I think and then cheer moment for the bit when the flash goes back in time Justice League yeah yeah yeah for Justice League yeah and then now and to be clear not that this matters at this point and I'm I'm just saying mhm it

seems like they've done some research again I don't know why someone did research on this but they've done some research and it seems like it might have been because some Bots [ __ ] with the Twitter poll because I didn't realize they were just these were just Twitter polls oh yeah and so yeah cuz I it is I don't know a way of actually get like the audience's actual vote like is there a a site to go to so it was just Twitter which I don't really use so no uh well we've got some Twitter news actually I think you'll find a lot of bots do use it and a lot of bots apparently like Zack Snider so the academy is standing by the uh the academy standing by the online poll which was limited get this

right it was limited to 20 votes per Twitter handle so you could vote 20 times 20 times and then just make a new Twitter account and then vote 20 more times I don't know man this whole thing seems stupid now so see I'm still of of the thing this is sh like when you can have multiple accounts on things it means like stuff like this even if they weren't B and someone just went through and just made through 100 accounts that there is what 2,000 votes well is that right it says here the use of bots would explain some unusual spikes in balloting activity such as a one-day jump of 25,000 votes after weeks of daily votes hovering at around 15 to 35% of that so I think I mean seems pretty obvious what happened Al although that

can just be uh they shared it somewhere be aware of it yeah you're right you're right maybe yeah that that's also how the internet works people were just cuz we weren't even aware of the the vote let's do the math let's do the math on this 25,000 and you could vote 20 times so do we think there were 1250 people who liked Army of the Dead that much maybe maybe could be a lot of people in the world yeah could be yeah yeah all right it wasn't a bad movie I don't what was what was the vote what was cuz they would have CU it wouldn't have been a free form it would have been a select from these yes oh yeah that's a good point what was the poll even yeah what were the other options yeah cuz that

also changes things too cuz I think with the Academy Awards I don't know how it works I guess they nominate him and then you got to vote but what were the other options yeah like who nominates for the cheer moments and stuff yeah yeah whatever I just the yeah the academy War just needs to go away that would solve that has nothing for me yeah yeah well it might after the fun this year well that won't I think it just gave it more publicity yeah fair oh yeah there's some who might shoot in who's going to get hit this this time there's some followup on uh Nate R in and let me know that the reason that guy attacked Dave Chappelle we talked about that last week is

apparently Dave Chappelle spoke at his local counil or something about opposed to some kind of low-income housing that there was some good evidence that it wasn't going to be good for anybody and he spoke against it and this guy was mad about it so there you go he actually apparently literally literally targeted Dave Chappelle for that reason so yeah there was a reason for it but yeah not the good way to get your point across no no I think we last week we didn't know why he had even done it it was some vague thing about trying to draw attention to something no apparently it was specifically Dave Chappelle because Dave Chappelle was against the thing this guy was for so yeah yeah so sounds like cil's trying to bring low income housing jelle's

against it but jelle is probably so far removed from that low income sort of oh area now that I have no idea and this person probably is in that low income environment and it's probably going no that's good for us oh why because he couldn't afford a real gun you had to get a knife gun is that what you're saying no I'm just he like I need a gun he like I can give you a knife that lookss like a gun cuz that's a good idea that's not a knife this is a knife that's not a knife it's a gun no no it is a knife a gun it's just it's a knife that looks like a gun I've not thought thought this through no it's a good way to get shot so we mentioned Twitter followup I've got some Twitter followup for you as well

um this week you know Elon Musk is still apparently going to buy Twitter uh and he said in an interview this week that he would let Trump back on if if if this goes through and his reason for it is that he thinks uh permanently Banning somebody like Donald Trump who was the president of the United States at the time is a bad idea and it did not prevent him from having a voice he just went elsewhere now he's got this truth social thing he started and people just followed him anyway so it just meant that people were less aware of what he was up to permanent ban wasn't the way I believe that's what he say I I think I think his it wasn't as clean cut as all that because it was kind of a

conversation but I think from what I what I've read his position on it is that yeah a suspension may have been in order but not a permanent ban he thinks that a ban was a mistake oh uh and so he would because yeah he went off and created his own chamber exactly and and and people followed him and so now you've just not only do we not know what they're talking about they're not being confronted with opposing opinions on any of it so it's it's not it's not good I mean that does make sense to me uh but I could probably also be convinced the other way if someone tried hard enough I don't know I just don't really know yet how I feel about it yeah I think definitely at the time the ban was definitely something that

had to be done because sure he was calling people to come and attack Capital oh yeah well I think well I mean this he got banned before that right but but and the ban may have inflamed that so I think there's be an argument to be made there I could be wrong Oh I thought he banned at the time of that was he yeah you might be right I don't remember but it certainly inflamed everybody when it happened so and yeah I don't think the end result was that great um and I think it did come out of a political uh manipulation a way you know like a lot of Twitter being particularly left yeah were trying to make sure he couldn't win which is well whether yeah I don't know I think a little bit of

that I just don't know how I feel about that either like obviously I don't agree with the guy either but does seem a bit but then it's private company that's the other thing so you know there's so many angles you can come at this from yeah like yes yes because a lot of people go oh it's stop being free speech no he's still allowed to say whatever he wants yeah just not on our platform that's what I'm saying I'm bouncing around a lot here because I just yeah I just don't really know where to land on it there's a lot to it cuz because he he's saying Elan musk is saying Twitter is like the Town Square but I mean not really it's it's a social network and not everybody's on it like in fact a very small percentage of people are on it so how is it the town Square actually

if you look that the Town Square would be probably be closer to Facebook would be probably closer to it than Twitter exactly Facebook I think Facebook's worse isn't it garbage probably yeah that I every now and again I'll log on I just see people just sharing videos and I just go not for me well I mean that's that's fine as long as they're real humans I think this is one of the problems on Facebook is that they're not humans these they're all just Bots I think trying to make us all mad at each other is just I think is just every platform that just Bots these days it's trying to make us all mad at each other Bots Bots Bots just just the just be nice be like me be like Luke say say things that sound threatening but AR yeah refuse to

upgrade the hard drive on your Xbox just be more patient yeah I barely have time to play my Xbox and I don't have the patience I that maybe that's the problem I need to get the games loaded as quick as possible otherwise I'm not going to have time to play them that's how I'm going to justify that that might be for me I'm going insane cuz I still can't go back to work my leg is still weird yeah sure so my bone oh here's something cool my bone started to grow oh good that's what you wanted yes all looking good good good and then the bone stopped growing and started retreating oh which is not good retrea evidently you get you've got like different bone cells you got bone cells that make it grow and then B bone cells that sort of break it down because your bone is like your skin it's sort of you

know how you replace your skin like every seven years you replace your bones as well right well evidently the bones that sort of break it down are working overtime so they're trying to work out what to do cuz you've confused the [ __ ] out Specialists empath I have they've got an idea but they're still looking into it cuz there's only been one case study of in the world yeah right so I'd be the second person to ever try it instead of trying to make sure whether that'll work for me or not it sucks being as unique as I am yes for listeners who don't know oh it's complicated I don't even know where to begin Luke's leg is not usual and now a section of it it's a bit weird a section of it has been replaced by metal but it's actually that bone that was there is not the bone that was

stupid um before we move off Twitter the other piece of news is that now apparently musk has put the deal on hold because he wants proof that there aren't more bots on there than Twitter is saying so Twitter have said before that um fewer than 5% of active users oh that's crap right and so now that that's he's saying he wants some evidence of that because the median following of someone like Elon Musk is about 41% fake followers which would indicate more than 5% of

people but for a fake account you'd make them for for me it's easier to make them follow popular accounts to making them follow smaller accounts that's right but then like the fact that how many followers has he got like a lot 41% of them are fake right how many F people are on Twitter like seems like that's more than 5% right I don't know I go on Twitter every now and again got to be careful opening Twitter though why I've sometimes like sometimes the pictures on there are a bit confronting foring in like a doctor's waiting group who are you following oh just oh just so one just Riley read and some noral non porn people no but you know how it it gives you a lot of it shows you a lot of stuff

you're not following now that's true and so I follow a fair few cosplayers and for some reason hey oh you like cosplayers so he's he's a naked female for you no that's that's not what I'm following sure I'm following people who are dressing up yeah of my own home sure I don't want to see people boobs under normal circumstances I want to see people dressed as TAA from Final Fantasy 7's boobs yes no Harry released that on Xbox Harry released deep as boobs on Xbox I just want the Final Fantasy 7 remake that's happening right that is happening at some point they well releasing that or did that they never actually said that thought it would have happened by now cuz it was it was a

PlayStation exclusive but remember at the time it was being released Xbox account released that yeah the that when the official Xbox account released something went oh sorry that was just an inter playing around with stuff yeah I mean maybe it was but that was a but it was pretty good indication it was coming and then the the exclusive deal expired but then PlayStation more to extend it again oh what my fear is is would explain it that PlayStation or Sony is going to buy Square Enix and buy Final Fantasy didn't um didn't somebody just buy uh no no oh yeah someone just did no no no square sold kept Final Fantasy yeah they Sorry squareenix sold a bunch of other stuff other Studios right they sold they sold

um yeah so two raid's gone Hitman but I think they kept fantasy cuz I think that's one that's still well so but that that's that's a fe these days it's I sort of know I then know how PlayStation fans feel when someone just comes along buys your studio and goes you can't play it anymore delays all your games until next year still fun there's a Xbox there's a game that's coming at Xbox the show which is a baseball game it's come game past the last 2 years yeah and it pops up with the PlayStation logo where it starts it's it's strange it's CU it's been a PlayStation game for so long and it's I think it's still made by Shia with close ties to PlayStation but it's just on Xbox game pass do you get confused about what console you're

on no I'll never have that problem do you have any PlayStations it's not that I I've owned every PlayStation up PlayStation 3 I've got no problem with PlayStation the only issue I have is don't let him into my house yeah right no it's like cuz I wanted to play like Last of Us and all of that and I I probably really would enjoy those games but then I start playing and then I go but I could I'm not getting achievements now yeah and even though I get trues it's not the same thing well yeah I don't care about that stuff so you don't get to be one of the best in the world in achievements by playing other consoles that's true you're wasting your time I'm I'm I'm I'm near I'm chasing down seventh in Australia really that close huh I'm

well well I am about 51,000 away that's more than I have isn't it which is is that more than my gamer score oh most probably yes okay no just just want to make sure that's clear yep I don't know what my gamer score is I can find out for you if you want sure all right here we go give me a second oh oh no sorry I got excited cuz you've hit a new Milestone 50,000 true achievement score so oh uh no you're you got 35,000 360 all right look is there a way I can transfer that to you with that help unfortunately no CU I've probably played all the games that you got your achievements on already have them no

deceased no more iPods I I'm honestly shocked that they were still selling them that's what everybody's saying because yeah no they were you everyone you just got your phone that's yeah so they were still sing the iPod touch but not anymore cuz I remember when it first came out and first what it first came out was like 20 gig I think I think was it one less than that I think I certainly remember that yes that model that was probably the biggest I remember I remember it sort of also being shocking at the time because it was so small so like yeah how does it have that much space yeah I remember when Dave and I lived in Eastwood uh upstairs neighbors had the the creative Zen was it called little MP3 player it had like zoon no no zoom's the Microsoft

one it was the creative Zen it was like before all of that was like way back in like like probably L late '90s um mhm and it held like two Meg and uh and then I think that's when did the iPod come out when let's have a look iPod release date 200 2001 yeah okay yeah so 2001 was the first one and uh and it was like compared to all the others it just like gig and yeah unbelievable you can fit stuff on this yep your whole music library if you purch I could sort of I can really understand that going away yeah mainly because of the fact that no one knew I was still selling it but even cuz everyone's got their phone but even

for like people who don't have phones like I'm thinking children yes normally most of them have tablets and things now yeah and my um I mighton say I won't say her name but my my Dingus over here can um play music if I ask it to the the cylinder that I have over here I'm I'm not going to say a name cuz she'll wake up and ask and say what but yeah yeah I I I have having that problem with Um Google at the moment it just thinks you're talking if I'm not listen if yeah so if I'm not watch if I'm watching stuff not headphones on and a YouTube channel says Hey something go do this mine go do something but doesn't quite understand it yeah yeah cuz it's I think it's I think it's trained to my accent now it actually understands me but

anyone else it doesn't now it's cuz your accent is unique yes your specific accent yeah like it's not the just the Australian accent it's my accent weird the Luke accent half Bogan half Westy yeah half nerd 10% intelligent just throws it all out mhm yeah so I was just going to say goodbye to iPod yeah oh yeah you know I didn't even think iPod is uh geek of the week or we do have one other geek of the week Contender Fred Ward who uh you may know from Tremors and some other stuff but mostly Tremors a you see the photo you'll know who I mean I like Tremors yeah who doesn't so uh yeah he has died at the age of 79 no cause I liked him in stuff

yeah no cause of death has been given he's just he's died of something uh yeah what else was he in Joe Dirt uh some TV shows it was just that guy that was sort of in everything oh he's in True Detective season 2 which I've not seen apparently yeah he was yeah exactly yeah like you look at that photo and it's like yeah I know that guy yeah so oh look I'm going to give it a tie he he can have it with iPod so to tie between Fred Ward and the [Music] iPod Steve Jobs is rolling around in his grave that's nothing against him no no nothing against him no I mean nothing against I think he'd be happy with that wouldn't he I think I I just don't want him to well I don't want him feel bad that he

had to share it with like an inanimate object but the iPod is was did the iPod did really start us getting to the phones we have today yeah exactly right but then you got to weigh that up against the fact that this guy was in tremors so I mean I'm going watch trimmers after this go on I will I own it do you on DVD or I own all the trimers movies or on digim well I I have the license to watch them on Xbox right yeah you don't own any of that stuff anymore there's like six of them I think they would argue you never did but yeah I know and uh what's he's in some of the later ones what's he what's his name from uh Randy from Scream what's that guy's name do you know who I

is what the [ __ ] is it yeah is it going to be uh I is it is it really going to be like the Star Wars holiday special with singing and a cooking show and 20 minutes of no dialogue I hope so so do I sort of but also can we skip the no dialogue part cuz I actually I honestly think that's the most painful part of watching the holiday special is that first 20 minutes where no one it's just Chewbacca's family yes and no one's speaking in a before it gets into the really crazy [ __ ] well just because you know speak Wookie to be racist they're speaking specious they're speaking you just don't understand it well his dad's not well his granddad he's just learing at a half naked woman

on a hologram but that goes for way too long I hope that's not in it cuz that's just weird so strange and then next year we get G together Vol three which cuz I wonder how much it's changed from the original script cuz that was meant to start this new phase four this new face originally yeah cuz now we've got uh before yeah I know they're in Thor love and thunder because I've seen the trailer love and thunder yeah yeah so I know they're yeah originally it was been be volume 3 but then James gun got fired which pushed everything back mhm I wish I could get fired like that I know I know that's the best way to get fir fired have this awesome job oh would you like your all drob back as well yes

and I'm still going to keep working on this as well yeah yeah that really really worked out well for him yeah well he should never have been fired in the first place I agree but the world had to learn that but yeah as do you um but it's a shame they're more Drax Drax is like the best character espe when he's invisible I always found that that I mean I did that is excuse me that is funny but I found cuz that's from endgame not from yes one of the Guardians movies I found the humor not quite right in the non James gun directed ones because could yeah I think that was the only thing good thing from ja from

that I think that's because it wasn't James gun yeah yeah yeah and like not that it was bad and cuz actually there were some good moments in that especially when Thor leaves with them at the end that's that him being Macho with starlord that stuff was all good I just yeah I just found that the jokes land better in the ones that he directs yeah I'm excited for you get one more chance to see it I know so am I two more holiday special did you watch the um Avatar 2 trailer I watched half of it and got bored I mean it's it's just music with like shots so it's like oh there's some dialogue at the end oh I didn't get to the dialogue I didn't but yeah it's just some shots and

music yeah it looks pretty and that's and I'm going to go see it it looks like Avatar it's going to be in 3D again probably yeah but it just looks like the first movie if you had shown me that and said here's some footage from the first movie I would have been like okay okay thanks the only thing difference difference I saw was it looked like there was more water yeah there's fish stuff yeah there's more that's the only difference I could find from well I and I really think the studio is going to go oh my god what have we done cuz they've already made two well I mean I to be fair I don't know how how different could it look it's literally a sequel to the first one set on the same planet with the same characters stuff like that it's not

going to look like different but it was just like there's nothing remarkable not going to do what Avatar it's not going to do what Avatar did back in the day it's not going to do those yeah because I went and saw Avatar a couple of times not because I thought it was just because it was the first time i' ever seen 3D done like that it looked beautiful yeah and I'll go through the first and I think I'll probably going to see it once just to go and say I've seen it but yeah I think they're going to realize mistake when this doesn't do the numbers it doesn't do the numbers that the first one did maybe it will he's done this every time maybe so

I mean this could be the this could be the you know the the the one that doesn't but are there that many Avatar fans like straight up Avatar fans I guess people did like it they just don't have like vocal fans like Star Wars fans and that I guess but like I think people did like the first one well there there's Avatar Land or something in D yeah I know how popular is that yeah there is yeah Avatar 2009 man that was a while ago like H like it's not something that I would go and like if I was down in Florida I'm not going to go to Avatar Land I have no interest in it but there must be fans if they yeah you think so but I don't know if the for four movies to do the same story just over and over Earth comes they want the stuff

they fight Earth off go away we're going to be like this Earth comes back like it's just that that's all the story is going to be for four four more movies been diesels in this one Earth wants the unobtanium the unobtanium that's right I forgot uh but he didn't create that that's an actual I know it's just so silly engineering term I know it's just silly VN Diesel's in this one so it's Kate Winslet I don't know if that helps Michelle Yo's in it she's cool no no yeah you like her she's cool but yeah as I said I'm going to go see it and I'll go see it in the movies cuzz you have to see it in 3D like cuz Brendan cow's in this what from um what's that bloody show what's that

movie he's an Australian actor Jermaine Clement's in it maybe I maybe I'm going to maybe I do want to see this he might I don't think so but you might um yeah anyway yeah look it's got It's got names it's got people I like in it yeah yeah so does Star Wars and we don't like that yeah I just don't I don't know how I don't know how I'm going to go with watching four more movies to the same story maybe he'll surprise you we'll see um sequels I was surprised by this

news partially because I've already got a sequel to this movie on DVD I thought they're making a sequel to This Is Spinal tap the cast is going to reunite and they're going to yeah I thought they I always found it weird that they didn't do one yeah there is there is return to spinal tap got I've got a DVD that's like a second thing so I'm I mean and I thought I got a shock that they didn't make one cuz remember a few years ago I think in 2004 they did their one night only World Tour yeah they actually came out and they played a show and I thought that was going to be sort of the third one where they were sort of going to do do do it again but nothing came with that one but yeah it's not a sequel

It's yeah so I'm but no one really knows about the second one I have it on DVD downstairs somewhere but so I'm going to have to dig that out this week and do some research but they're doing they're calling it it's spinal tap 2 uh and it's a I guess a direct sequel to the original I I said don't know I the other one was more like uh more stuff so maybe it's not really a sequel like uh but I'm telling you man I've got I've got I like like instead of Stonehenge being super small it's now super huge they can't get it in right the return of spinal tap there we go the return of spinal tap is a 1992 rockumentary uh yeah it's equal to This Is Spinal Tap came out in 1992 so anyway whatever I'm going to have to look into

this cuz that they have to there has to be some explanation why this will be exp spiral tap 2 yes yeah yeah I'm not going to let him pull one over on us yeah because the second one I actually like the second one yeah it's very confused and it doesn't seem like something like you'd have to W con and go no that's not Cannon anymore that just seems oh is it is that it's spinal tap 11 oh that's funnier yeah and they're just letting everybody get it wrong for now yeah anyway very I mean I'm not I'm not surprised that people don't know there's a sequel because I feel like people like know of this movie but aren't

actually fans of it sort of thing like a lot of people probably don't know a lot of things that they've laughed at in other shows have come directly from spinal tap yeah totally like cuz I don't I don't even think a lot of people seen the original but you just know of It quotes and whatnot cuz I think quotes and yeah cuz what one one of them's a writer on The Simpsons isn't he uh one of them is several characters on The Simpsons and I think they've all been on The Simpsons yeah Harry Shir is they definitely all been on there and I think he's har he's Mr I'm I'm looking forward to it though yeah Bring it on Bring it on but also explain Bring It On explain yourselves your PRS unless I've just ruined a joke for

you then I apologize I forgive you cuz the way the way he has put its spinal tap too it's does look like it he hasn't put the word two it's an 11 Roman numerals to mhm could be an 11 that's all I'm saying I would put money on the fact that that's a joke in this at some point I put money on it yeah yeah yeah I've been watching a show uh this is not in here but uh I've been watching a show called rust valley restorers have you heard of this I'm going to assume you have not where they go out find old cars and then restore them I mean kind of it's uh it's a it says it's documentary series it's a

reality show uh it's Canadian and it's uh a bunch of hillbillies in um Canada in British Columbia Canada Canada in what they call rust valley which is just where all these old car dumps are and it's B it's this guy Mike uh the premise is that he's got like 400 classic cars all rusting on his property and so he's going to restore them all um but it's basically like it's interesting to me because these guys are just like ridiculous it's like you know where you got those shows where they do it up and they do it all really nice and

everything's like all like fancy and that kind of stuff that's it's not that kind of show this is where they're like they do this they do this uh race it's called it's called Hit to pass where you just race around in a circle and and if you want to pass the person in front of you you have to hit them first as and then you can pass and stuff like that and then the winner of like one lap gets to smash through an old um trailer and like so it's just yeah what it's it's a weird show and I don't I just put it on is it something you're watching with your full attention something you're watching doing something else exactly right it's like I'll pop it on while I'm cooking or whatever and I just sit it there and

it's just like I said it's just these funny funny characters live in the middle of nowhere in Canada and do up these C that's what I like to do yeah it's a show yeah it's a show to do while you're doing something else it's entertaining but it's not something you'd sit it's not exactly I'm trying to think of a good television show let me put I can't think of any good television shows it's not always sunny where you want to pay attention otherwise you're going to miss something it's these guys I am interested in seeing that AMC are developing their an Alan Wake television show yes I've just put a link to an article that will just tell you a little bit about rust valley restores yeah so uh which that's basically going to be Twin Peaks that's why it's

interesting right because it's you're making a TV show out of a video game heavily inspired by a TV show that's cool yes um because I recently just finished playing Alan Wake again and it's a weird game and I also just finished playing control as well who remedy also made yeah I think we talked about remedy a bit last week yeah I I've I've never finished remedy you're great yeah we did because we talked about qu I yeah but I'm yes so I'm really interested to see what how they do cuz I've never watched Twin Peaks it's never sort took never I don't know it's [ __ ] excellent for me it's excellent but I'll watch the Alan Wake TV series well which I think will be I was going to say can I give you

knowing plenty so I don't know I definitely paid attention when I watched excuse me when I watch the return like the new series yeah and again I don't know that it helps but probably does well I'll watch strange new worlds and then I'll watch the first episode I guess at least if you pay attention to it you can be more confident that it's David Lynch and not and not you you know what I mean like when when you're watching it and something weird happens and you're like what the [ __ ] is going on did I miss something if you were watching it then you know no you didn't that's just that's just David Lynch um so do we know anything more about the Alan Wake show other than just

AMC's making it cuz that's not a lot of info no well uh not really it's they're taking a risk cuz like I'm watching the Halo show TV show at the moment oh is that that's still on obviously it's got a lot of people divided oh really yeah what do you think because cuz you're a big halo fan you know all the law I am I know I'm not all of it I I but I I am enjoying it though it's different they have taken a different story route than the games and books but like spoil off okay John got laid this week did he he he does that does he wait does he

come out of that suit sometimes or is that even a bigger spoiler he doesn't he just comes in the suit if you know what I mean in the show they've got like they suppressed their sort of hormones sure horniness does and he he's taken that out that chip out right he was like no I'm getting some yep he was like I want the behavioral chips removed and they're like which ones all of them he's like just one of them which one just one yeah the one that makes you violent no keep that one then but no it's different and if you go into it except just being prepared to accept that it's going to be different I think

you'll be fine or if you haven't played the games or don't know the law you probably enjoy it yeah well I don't but for people who are like hardcore you don't like the show or hardcore yeah but for hardcore fans they're a bit like no that's not John # still in shock from him taking his helmet off I think a lot of people still in shock from him taking his helmet off in episode one yeah but it's yeah I know it's TV show it's not a video game like if he didn't take his helmet off it's I don't know yeah I am I do like the fact that they are like Hy Dr Hy who's the one who created a Spartan program and kidnapped the all the Spartan's children everything sure is

sort of the villain in this he certainly sounds like a villain is he not a villain in the game she she no well no he altruistically kidnapped and tortured all those children she was just preparing for the future oh she sorry it's a lady my bad she yes yeah she she she's prepared to do whatever it takes all right and if it takes a bunch of kids that's what she'll do if you have to take a bunch of kids flash con and give the flash clone back to the family so the family can slowly watch the their the child die while they throwing their children out of planes it's fine to actually how many more episodes are there cuz I am the one thing I'm a bit

nervous about is that to me there's a good chance that this may not get a sequel okay cuz it's not not because it's bad but just because sometimes at the moment yeah it's just the one season how many episodes seen do well oh no I know that how many episodes like have you watched all of it or it's still going episode it's still going okay so the next episode is come out is nine okay and you've seen eight I take it I've

seen eight and in episode eight he gets laid all right so listeners if that's all you want to see just skip ahead you don't get to see it what so I know episode one he takes the helmet off episode 8 he takes the pants off eight he gets laid yep that's it yeah when's he going to take his shirt off episode four is where the shirt came off oh it was okay yeah yeah it was building up to the pants coming off he s takes piece off each episod pants and then by the end of it he's just walking around naked yeah just in his boots like in the game but yeah we'll yeah we will see I'm enjoying it but I could also understand if it doesn't get a second

season before we move into the Afterparty I have one thing I want to ask you about have you seen Dune yet did you watch June no I have not okay no we okay it would it entice you into watching the the sequel when it comes out the sequel in the second part right if I told you that Christopher Walkin will be playing the emperor of the Galaxy who is a pretty major player in the next part of the story would that entice you Christopher Walkin not really I do love Christopher walk but he's not like someone I'm running out to see everything he's been in forget it then I thought you'd be more excited made some crap over the years yeah and it was all

good all right well I thought that' excite you more but all right fine no no I think I'm going to go watch June I'll watch that one bit that I know and then just turn it off you won't have to watch too much then actually that's probably not true it's about an hour in a bet it's a long movie well that's why there's two parts that's I'm I'm still amazed cuz for a very long time I said there was going to be no second part I know you did but they start shooting in July so I was wrong that's cuz part one was very good people liked it did a good job that's why you should watch it I've made my but sometimes good doesn't mean sometimes oh yeah yeah sometimes good I thought we going to say good doesn't
