Xbox Dead: Moon Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi & Netflix Cancellations

can freeze and burst which is bad so I have spoken to people who like been on holiday they go like even though we're on holidays for like like 6 months we have to leave our heat on like one dee oh yeah just so our pipes won't freeze cuz they will freeze and then they will burst and then we will come home and the house will be destroyed yeah I can turn the heat off here in in like soonish I'll turn it off just to be safe and then I can leave it off as long as we're going to be here until you know until it starts to get cold again but over winter yeah now you turn it off you're [ __ ] yep yeah which is crazy we will destroy why would someone live in a place like that I don't know cuz it's [Laughter]

amazing I mean it's all right here yeah it's pretty good I'll see it one day you'll see the frozen pipes your house one day oh yeah you never see my house that's a good point I keep forgetting yeah last time you were here was before we bought it right mhm there you go so that's right 2024 that's the plan that's the plan what are you going to do in 20 going to go to Disneyland okay we're going to stay at the Star Wars Hotel yeah we're going to go to Salem I'm going to get a tattoo okay oh yeah we going to get a px East all right I don't know in what order mhm it seems a bit weird to go to your house pack uh then down to like Florida go to Lane then back up yes through tattoo back to it back so yeah prob order will probably be a little bit different mhm that's the

plan 2024 yeah I wonder how 2024 okay so that's what 2 years so yeah I wonder how things are going to be then we've had there's a bit a slight bit of PX related drama this week because one of the enforcers a well-known Enforcer at PAX East apparently got Co at PAX East and has died uh which is awful and so it's raised some questions about whether we should be doing packs and well actually I raised other questions too but I don't I don't want to be insensitive I have all I have so many questions but I know it's kind of not polite to I I just really want to understand exactly what happened so that I can know how worried I should be you know what I mean but I don't want to see meens like did they get it at pack did

they get it at one of the Tings afterwards yeah and cuz the there's a GoFundMe that's being run by her mother and she's saying oh she came home from the event sick and I'm like oh she was got sick then maybe she got it before and that kind of thing but then also I guess it's just not yeah it's none of my business cuz I'm still nervous cuz I'm going to like Pax Australia in October and I'm nervous about that because even just a normal pack pox everyone comes home from these conventions sick yes and this was very strict right because I think I said this before we couldn't take lra because you had to be vaccinated and you had to be wearing a mask and so the fact that this happened regardless is just like I don't know doesn't make me feel good about it well

that's the thing like being vaccinated and having a mask it won't stop it it reduces the risk a hell of a lot yeah and that's the whole idea behind it and it's also like that's inside the event like I have no idea what other social events went on you know that kind of thing and but these are that's that's why I like I have questions but then it's like it's not of my business no it's just yeah it's unfortunate and and yeah they apparently she was a much loved member of the community and it's it's just very sad uh so if you want to show some support there's a GoFundMe page for a family because obviously this was very unexpected and uh yeah not good and funerals and things are expensive exactly especially well regardless

whether you're expecting them or not but I think when you not prepared I think it's probably magnitudes worse yeah so uh yeah so I I mean I don't know that this will change anything as far as PX goes cuz I mean this is kind of I think it's just how it's going to be from now on but I guess we'll have to see what happens like yeah I don't there's one thing I'm reading in this article that I quite like is the fact that they get paid now oh sure yeah yeah it used to be they I think that started in Australia yeah Australia I think were the first on to go no you guys are working you need to get paid and that was a whole thing I didn't know they' done it in America as well when I went to P in 2011 with Dan and Dave we talked

to enforcers there and they told us that they get one day to attend the event for free and then they work the other two CU it was only three days back then yeah so now they actually get paid yeah I remember first time in Australia when that went to was like they worked the whole three days yes but they sort of got breaks and he still something that they really wanted to go to they got to go to that like was a but yeah now they get actual paid minimum Le yeah that's good well yeah it got big enough I think there were like I think when it was just like a lar like they were like oh let's try and put on a convention you know it kind of made sense to do it a bit more casually but at this point they got so big in one of the biggest conventions in the world I

think you got to start running it more like a business which obviously I'm so jealous you got to go it was it was good like I said it was It was obviously weird compared to past years cuz there were no big Publishers or anything but honestly I kind of liked it um yeah it'll take a little while to build up to what it was yes yeah and then I like I said we just have to see what this new normal is like now that we've got cuz it is noral like it is just going to be here and around and we'll have to get boosters every year and it's a it's a flu yeah yeah bummer but that's how it is I wonder if they'll combine it with the flu shot though it's just to make things easier maybe can they do that one shot just shove them both in the same syringe

I don't know if you can do that I don't see why not I'm not a doctor I don't know if you've noticed I'm not a doctor I'll give it a go uh so I accidentally caused a bit of a panic this morning cuz I messaged you and I said hey is like Xbox just down and it was the whole whole of Xbox was like dead apparently uh major outage so that that caused me to wake up race upstairs even though I was already meant to be up here and ready for the podcast turn on my Xbox and all looks fun you didn't even reply to me you just read the message and I freaked out yeah apparently people couldn't even play games which is yeah and wild that yeah

that's that remember that was the Fe with when they released the Xbox one that was a big upro where I have to connect every 24 hours well what happens you it goes out I might be play my games and people got well that's the world we actually still live in now that if it goes down that's it yeah it's kind of like what happens if Netflix goes down well you can't watch your TV shows yeah that's just the world now mhm so it'd be interesting to see what it's from yeah I don't know if they'll tell us if we ever find out somebody for leased something that they weren't supposed to into the production environment or something while the Xbox team said two hours ago customers should once again be able to launch and play Xbox the not

properly addressed so no they didn't but yeah hackers please stay away from gaming Services now it's more of an issue now yeah you've upset Luke yeah he doesn't want to wake up to that every day no be quite I don't know what I do what if if you couldn't play a game what would you what would you do right if you if you came if you like wandered in sat down turn the Xbox on and then literally the Xbox just said no not today Luke what would you do I I turned to the computer and go hopefully you'll let me play a game on the Xbox network and it popped up and it said no sorry we've thought of that too you're going to have to go outside I don't like that idea I will

build Lego okay all right that would be your first backup with Lego yep all right Lego bags of Lego for some reason you're Internet connected your your Lego as a service uh was no longer function no i' be more worried about if internet will down as well cuz I normally put like a movie on while I'm building something or watch YouTube or something exactly yeah well you got you got a DVD there like that' be okay you've got a I know for a fact you've got a DVD there you could pop on well I don't know because the Xbox probably want to update the Blu-ray player before it played it yeah and you haven't bothered to unwrap it from the shrink wrap the shrimp wrap shrimp rack shrimp rack that's what we called it right no it's still very much oh it's a

Blu-ray too that's that's more difficult why is it that Blu-ray is is like I think Blu-ray came out at just that time where you know like everything had a DVD player in it right you you can find a DVD player in your house probably Blu-ray not so much that's why the PlayStation 3 was like the best selling console cuz it was also the cheapest way to buy a Blu-ray player yeah like they knew what they'll do cuz Blu-ray came out just as digital was also kind of picking up steam and people some people would just I guess most people were just like ah [ __ ] it I'll stick with D I know I yeah because I can't honestly I can't tell the difference I really can't yeah it's cuz we have old Mana like even even when

like they go here's the Xbox x x update I can't see the difference I can tell the frame rate is better like like absolutely I can see like when they released the Assassin's Creed Odyssey update Y and I loaded it up and the frame rate went from 30 to 60 I was like oh my God it's amazing like yep I I can't tell the difference just I think it it looks nice already to me so I just play it doesn't affect the achievements I guess no I like my achievements as we all know yes I I'm trying to Quantum definitely Quantum something that one was also a television show that's right you remember I haven't played it I know I know it's it's got when you play it it's with the cut scenes the cut scenes honestly go for like half an

hour it's like a television show but it's it's got actual uh what's that uh it's got I'm going from memory it's got the guy from um what's the show Fringe and the guy from Fringe and John Wick the guy who's the hotel manager at John in John Wick he's in it and then also it's got the kid from he's in like Smallville for he's in X-Men sha Aston no sha Aston is Sam wise gamji isn't he yeah shaan seore maybe the guy from actually actually just looking at the achievements for it and I'm only five achievements off getting all of them it's Sean Ashmore nailed it wait actually is he actually in it yeah he is all right for once I

got it right I remember when they released this it was really annoying because you had to stream the movies as well they wouldn't let you download them to begin with really that's interesting and then they did change it late later so yeah you could download all the the video so you wouldn't have to worry about like um buffering or anything cuz remember that this came out in 2016 when Australia had crappy internet it would have been a Xbox One titled right Xbox One y but it was a good game I didn't mind it yeah I never played it you should should play if you have 5 hours to watch a television show in between playing a game uh I I probably don't I probably don't cuz that was a problem like you spent like all this time playing it and then you get and

great time take a break and then all of a sudden you got to watch a half an hour 40 minute television show and so oh crap we've been trying to play Tiny Tina well not trying we have been playing it just in little bursts and it's fun it's uh it's Borderlands yeah with uh goofy D and D Jokes which I enjoyed it I finished it I haven't played the DLC but I have heard that the DLC it's a bit of a rot oh they released a new the first lot right yeah but they'll do like more why what's wrong with this one evidently it's pretty quick and crap oh really that's a bummer like it's not like other like expansion packs where it's like here's a story and and the thing I saw is they only came with two extra achievements which is why I thought that was a bit

weird and they released it very very quickly yeah like it was only it came out a month after the game came out um p short DLC see zaku longtime Borderlands fans say the Reon coiled Cap's add-on is too tiny all right yep there's there's an achieve for complete the quest best charms mhm and then it's complete complete charms the odd God at the highest difficulty level and that's it h it's not sort of like complete missions explore the areas oh this okay I saw a trailer for this at P okay so this is the one with the sharks apparently and the snake people yeah okay all right snake people were already in it oh were they okay I haven't gotten

that far yeah but yeah I saw a video of this at a pack all right cool so well I bought I bought the version that comes with the season pass I think so yeah I guess I get so yeah I'm hoping this is just like the first one and they kind to come out cuz normally their DLCs are are sort of decent yeah the um Borderlands 3 ones were pretty big yeah so well if you look Tiny Tina was an expansion wasn't it yeah yes it was and they were able to trick us into buying that as a full game again recently yeah it was cheaper but yes that's true that's how I played it on uh on the uh Xbox she had the ra level to be yes he had level 30 to really play yeah and well they Reid it so you started at level one and it it was just it was just

easier to just do that well now they have made it a lot easier where like if you me were to jump into a game it won't Force us to play at the same level anymore oh so remember how it used to different areas the levels were higher and stuff like that now it just all relates to your character okay but hang on but what so presumably you're much higher level than my character right so if we played together what would happen we play together it would be just as difficult for both of us like it would just be the monsters would relate to your difficulty and I would they would relate to mine that's just how they've made it work oh interesting and before it would be like if you go

to let me see if I'm getting this correctly right say there's a bad guy right and then if if if I'm level five and you're level 30 from my for you level say he's got level he's got say he's got 20 hit points when I look at him but when you look at him he's got 100 yeah that's so weird kind of amazing actually and remember when like you like rual B like when you go back to like the starting area you could just murder everything in one shot yes now it's like like that anymore now it's if you go back to any area those monsters are as strong as your level [Music] a giant pencil A that's all I had close to me at the time and I'm not touching

him I just he's very violent that's the pencil of of conflict resolution no normally I go through my crutch but I don't know where I put it oh oh no my crutches not my crutch yeah yes wait you're supposed to be using those aren't you yeah I forgot they're on that side normally I put them on this side heard a rumor that you were trying to get around without him against Dr I was and then I I I was going like I'm going to the doctor soon I can take a few steps started taking a few steps all good then went to the doctor and then he went hm this isn't looking right looks like you've been trying to walk around without your crutches but surely that's not the case Luke now I have to go for a

bone scan oh wow just to make sure you have bones oh well I guess for listeners who don't know actually you don't that's the problem there's a section of your leg where you don't B Gap yeah all right and I'm not either yeah the bones stop growing right or I'm growing the wrong type of bone cells so I've got to go for bone scin which me say inject me radioactive dye oh wow so I go in at like 9:00 in the morning and then they inject me yeah and then I go back then I'm going to go to the movies or something cuz I go back for the actual scan like 4 hours later cuz I got to wait for it to go all through my body wait for the radiation to pour through you and penetrate every part of me and give you superpowers to

grow bones back so my my choices of movies that are playing at 10:00 in the morning are actually sort of good really also listeners I know that the radio radiation is not the cure for his bonuses don't ride in I was joking yeah what's I can see Sonic to oh you can see doctor strange surely right doctor strange and I could see the a Bullock movie I don't know what that I don't know what that is I don't know what that is I'm thinking maybe Sonic 2 cuz no one wants to go and see that with me or at all no one wants to see it at all at all and if I do get called to go hey we're ready for you to go earlier I'm not going to feel as bad walking out of you're showing up on our ge cter now you can come back in yes I won't feel as bad as walking out of Doctor Strange which I

want to see but I have heard that it's like just an hour and a half of fan service so uh I so I that's what Hannah told me I have heard well that's a Marvel movie wait has she seen it no she just okay yeah now I heard that because it's directed by Sam Remy who is one of my favorite directors so I'm very excited about and I've heard things like oh he's back in in Marvel yeah yeah that's so he directed this and then they've said that he basically just like put everything back on track and everyone who was worried about what's going to happen next was like this movie is great and it's going to be fine I don't know what that means I'm interested to find out if it's if it's like a doctor strange movie or if it's a bit like remember like um the

Captain America Winter Soldier one where that was basically it was an Avengers movie oh Civil War I think you mean right Civil War yeah that was an Avengers movie it wasn't Captain America it was I'm thinking is is it a bit more like that where they yeah trying to get everyone back on cuz towards the end they weren't sort of just W Captain wonder she should be in jail yeah well you arrest her jeez yeah I just she took over the over the mindes of an entire town she should be punished she do that to you too if you try and arrest her what are you talking about mate Doctor Strange could do something though maybe he tries to

maybe that's movie is about maybe maybe we should wait until we see it let's get Sam Ry on here maybe he's got something to say about it um although I did read an article that said that he hasn't seen Wonder division which I thought was fascinating to me if you're going to sort of be in directing and writing that you sort of have to know everything that's happen well in his defense he was brought on after the original director left so maybe he was just like whatever throw me in and I'll do my thing he's been doing this for a long time so cuz I know that's what went wrong with Star Wars yes when with the sequels where they I still do not understand how they released the sequels but didn't have them mapped out or anything and they

were sort of being written yeah and where I know Johnson like seems so stupid called JJ went hey could you just do this cuz I I want to put this I've decided to change something so could you just you know tweak it for me yeah yeah that's weird yeah I don't understand I think that's what what went wrong whereas Marvel is so well worked out right that everything ties in together especially the television series does relate to the movies as well yes uh they done it in a good way where you you don't have to have seen the television shows for the movies to make sense that it helps to watch the movies for the TV shows there is a Marvel TV show I want to talk about but just just briefly before we get off Doctor Strange apparently there is an Avatar 2 trailer

before doctor strange and I've seen some people getting excited about it which is interesting I saw on Twitter um Nate was talking about it and he was yeah excited about it so I don't know what they're showing I don't know what it is I'm interested to see it though I am as well cuz I still I I'm still under the feeling that this is not going to go well yeah yeah that they've given him all this money he's filmed everything at the same time he's filmed what two movies well so see I thought they said he was going to do like all four of these things at the same time apparently not yeah you're right they've done two and I think he says now that they finished post on or when whenever they actually finish fully

post production on these two they're going to start shooting the next one he's probably yeah he wants to get straight into it before they come out so that they can't pull the plug on him after they do [ __ ] while everyone did go crazy about the original Avatar to me I admit it was a beautiful yes it was and the 3D 3D in it was great yeah cuz it wasn't a hear something flying in his face I just when you're in a jungle and you see like flowers floating past your face and stuff like that it was amazing yeah I we had not seen a movie like that before but now we well you can if you want to it's just that everyone was like actually I don't really want to watch all movies like that that was fun and

I'm happy they did go away from everything being in 3D yeah although I know some people like that but in fact I think Nate I don't mind the 3D it's just not every movie needs to be 3D no agreed I also want them to go back to more 4D have you been no I know you guys went and saw Guardians volume to like that right in New York yeah I've seen Guardians and also saw solo movies like that and it's just it sort of fun I saw solo as well oh that's when I went to um E3 um oh oh oh years ago yeah yeah where yeah like said the chairs mve there SM

SM 3D I was Jing there really is smell yes that's [ __ ] okay and I didn't know that I'm all for that like that should be a thing for some movies not everything but I'd watch a Marvel movie like that okay that makes sense the shar's moving was I actually think was the better the smell I don't think the smell quite they've got that technology down but the chairs move so when like the ship's playing around your chairs sort of moving with it you weren't convinced that's what chewy smells like no no wet dog when he was trying to eat hand solo that's right in that documentary about yeah Star Wars it listen as you can't see Luke's face but he's remembering that that was

in the movie and now he's upset cuz why they do try and make out no chewbaca didn't eat anyone they threw the stor troop threw him in there four Chewbacca to eat him that was the plan yep yep and we've seen Chewbacca on the forest Moon of Endor just see hey here's some meat I'm going to eat it so I wouldn't put it past him no it's right he doesn't care what it is uh the Marvel TV show I wanted to talk about is moonnight have you watched the finale moonnight I have we and Hannah watched it a couple nights ago I have no idea what the hell that show is about and I do not like it really you didn't like it I'm with you a little bit I I think it I I was talking to Jenna about this and we

agreed that it probably could have done with a couple more episodes to flesh things out because there's some really really cool stuff in there and it just kind of felt like they breezed through it whereas like I really they could have done more with that cuz it's so interesting and you really have for the first like four episodes you really have zero idea sort of well first two to three zero idea what's actually happening then you just start to get that bit of an understanding cuz I also Moon Knight's not a very he's not an Avenger like he's not very well known I'm going blind yeah yeah yeah sure yeah so I told you I read one run of moonnight comics because it was literally about I mean slight spoilers for the show I'm not going to I

don't really want to spoil anything major but slight spoilers for the show there was a moonnight run where he was in a mental Asylum and so I wasn't surprised by some of that stuff in the show but it wasn't the same but I think maybe I understood slightly more about what was going on because of that whereas I think if you didn't know anything you might be like what the [ __ ] is this look I I why they have left some things open and there could possibly be like a season two or so I don't think there will be well there's no plans to which I thought was interesting too like apparently Oscar Isaac is not contracted for anything else yeah he's not going to be in a movie or anything and Alo they say but yeah you can never really trust

them yeah but he wouldn't NE he wouldn't really fit with I never I didn't watch the Ator I guess he wouldn't really fit in with them right cuz it's all like Egyptian gods and it's like a little weird and they don't do they mention any other superheroes in this they don't do they I don't think there's no references to other superher I don't think there nothing directly I could be mistaken I don't think it seemed it really seemed like a standalone thing yeah and but I will say Oscar amazing actor like you can tell when he switches between Steven and Mark like yeah more so in the I think was it in the final episode where he does it like within a scene he has conversations with himself and switches and it's great yeah

yeah no that that was amazing but yeah I don't he's not going to put me turning up in Doctor Strange or another movie and I I can't see his season two I just I think people I think it was too confusing and too weird I don't think they I really liked it I I I get that and you know maybe it's yeah maybe it's too weird for people but I would like to see more but I I don't know I think it yeah so there again I don't want to spoil anything but there is like a big reveal later like they hint at they hint at something throughout the whole show and then at the very very end it you get find out yeah there's there's something else but then so if they don't do another season that's kind of odd but I mean I guess it's fine I think they sort

of well they sort of did did sort of answer yeah like the weird stuff that sort of happen through the season you find out very end it's this yeah yeah it could in fact if this had been a movie in the '90s and they had ended it like that we would have been like that's fine I got it it's just now I'm used to them Cliffhanger with an intent to do another thing whereas I guess this could be an ending yeah like I'm not going to sit down and watch this again like it's I like all the other ones I would happily sit down and watch again like Hawkeye and one division really you would watch again no I just I'd watch this over most of the others I think could you want to understand it cuz on I don't think I'm again maybe

it's because I knew more about the character than I think it might be I didn't I wasn't I didn't have that much trouble following it I cuz I think aarin also liked it more as well but she also did some research to find out more about the character whereas I was just going in completely blind like I guess I knew that he had multiple personality disorder which is not a huge spoiler cuz that you find that out pretty early on like so maybe that helped in the beginning cuz I knew that's what was happening so I was able to follow it better like where for me that took a couple of episodes to really yeah okay work out and that makes sense but yeah look it's done we're moving on I don't know what the next TV show is we get uh Obi Doctor Strange is out this

week which I know Obi-Wan is not Marvel technically but that is but yeah Obi-Wan on the 27th which I I don't understand why not release it 3 days ago well they released the trailer the full trailer 3 days ago which I know but just release it on the I don't know and Star Wars so I didn't care about they seem to skip May the 4th I know I I didn't care about this show they released that teaser and I was like oh that could be good and now they released this full trailer and now I'm like oh actually I don't know I'm actually very very very scared and evidently it's got like one of the lowest ratings like for for um PG ratings so I think this is like a family show okay

which just seems a bit weird so this new trailer got there's this villain in it right so there's the there's the girl so clearly the Sith uh what are they called uh Inquisition are in this right and they the the same as in Fallen order that's fine they're cool I'm I'm okay with that I'm okay with that they were around they were a thing they they're not actual Jedi or Seth yeah but they do have and stuff like that that's fine whatever rule of two they're not officially CIS apprentices it's kind of a cheat way of getting more bages with lightsabers in yeah but that's not a new thing that's been around for but then there's that guy in it that who's like seems like the main Sith Inquisitor and I can't decide whether his makeup looks [ __ ] or not cuz I and I

think maybe it does like he just looks a bit [ __ ] to me and I'm I'm confused by it what really scares me is just how much of it seems not to be on tne wait that's what we wanted I don't want it to be on tne but oh but Obi-Wan's supposed to be on tne he's been Obi-Wan's just me to be this hermit guy who perspective look like he's now going off on adventures every second week okay from the perspective of the fact of the character being Obi-Wan Kenobi that's stupid but I do want the show not to just be on tne all the time because they all just have been and they stupid but yeah and then uhit few I think we get the first two episodes yeah Darth Vader

we knew he was coming back yeah but I don't I don't want him in yeah yeah you're I don't that's the that's the main thing that worries me is that he don't put him in it like you're worried about obiwan going off the planet I could deal with that but once Darth Vader is in it I'm like no this is dumb now look and this is where I think put me in charge of Star Wars and I can fix these things people want Star Wars television shows they want the movies but don't go messing with the characters that are already they're going have to change New Hope again so that Vader says I've sense a presence that I've not felt since last week when when I bumped into him with that bar on Cor yeah like yeah that's why they should Rogue one is where they should be

heading these yeah slightly to the side like yes Darth feder was in that and TK was in it but right it's they weren't the Stars no they didn't need to be I don't think I would have liked it anyway um and that's where they like the mandalorean I don't know was great Boba Fett terrible yeah I know Boba Fett there only two episodes only there was what two or three episodes I liked in the Mandalore um Boba Fett and that's when Boba Fett wasn't in it and it was about the Mandalorian yes and not the one with Luke in it cuz that was awful I don't understand the the ant robots I don't understand why were they built why they exist and also if he's out there sort of training go do all these stuff you build it with your hands

that's part of the the whole thing I just the thing annoys me about it is they had season two and at the end of season two Luke comes and he takes grou away and grou chooses to go with Luke because he's going to be a Jedi and then they were like ah we probably want him to still be in the show so we'll just undo that and then we'll have a scene in in an unrelated show sort of in Boba Fett where he has to choose again because Luke's just apparently being a a dick about it when what just commit to the choice made he's gone now I do have a question when Ben sort of went bad did he kill all the other apprentices and maybe they don't want that to sort of be part of the storyline that baby Yoda gets murdered by kylo or I know that that got pointed out but that's too bad you

should have thought of that don't just like I don't know it just seems so cheap is to be like Gru chose to go with Luke and now Mando has to move on ah no not really he's back but I want to say man baby gr tries to go with Luke got there and went this is [ __ ] yeah I know but it's just cheap like I don't know it it just annoys me yeah I'll get over it if it's good but well we do get Mandalorian this year don't we oh I don't know I think they filmed it I think I read that that they filmed it I don't know com out this year God I just and thean that was so bad although I've spoken to I've spoken to more people now who liked it and I'm

like maybe I need maybe I guess I could rewatch it and see but I I don't really want to it would only be like if I'm like maybe my expectations were not you know what I think it is I think if you liked the Clone Wars cartoon maybe you liked it and I haven't been able to get into that we yeah we that we weren't the target orience to that we were just slightly too old which is also where I think Obi-Wan's going to upset a lot of fans as well because a lot of fans yes they want you you and McGregor to yes they want obiwan but there a lot of fans I think are thinking of Clone Wars yeah cuz that's what they really remember OB from I think it's a case of there were these three movies right and even arguably Return of the Jedi people were split on right so we technically

had these two movies that we all agreed were [ __ ] amazing when we were kids but now the they have to appeal to such a broad range of people that it's just not possible for them all to be exactly what we wanted and the only reason that the old ones are exactly what we wanted is because we watched them and we didn't have expectations you don't get a choice like you just took what you wanted from them like with blade I love Blade Runner and luckily for me Den Vu apparently likes the same stuff about Blade Runner that I do and so when he made the Blade Runner 2049 it was amazing for meh but not everybody liked it have speaking of Blade Runner have you looked at the kickstarter it's running at the moment for Blade Runner I

have spent money on it you have yeah I have yeah so listeners there's a Kickstarter Blade Runner role playing game tabletop role playing game yeah yeah I got the uh off world Edition plus plus some extra stuff because I I I could not this is this is the game for me yeah they made it for me I I I would I would love to do it but finding time to commit to something like that is just so hard what if what if we did one for for for as a podcast special well I think that would be amazing and I think now that we're film recording it this time I think we're all awake and I think I'm

definitely awake cuz it's evening I'm awake cuz it's very early in the morning it's not it's not getting to 9:00 a.m. no I know but we're awake so we could actually still record the podcast and then do the special as well well it all loosened up a bit when I get this I'll see what I so the thing about uh doing stuff for you know podcasts or whatever is that you kind of have to tweak it a bit it's not I don't think we could do it the same way you would if you were plan at a table but we could try and do a Blade Runner themed thing based on the book I'd have to tweak it a bit I think like I don't think you can do it exactly the same when you do it as cuz it like um you know I've noticed people you know like you watch critical role

and it's it's a show and it's D and D but it's not they don't do D and D as you would if you were just like at home because that wouldn't be interesting or it would be less interesting the I think the thing that we would need to work out is just a way to have sort of a map on the B like that you're going to be de well one of the uh one of the the stretch goals currently is a digital version of the game so and I'm pretty sure they're going to hit it CU this they have like massively they hit it minutes yeah well they hit funding in 3 minutes and they've hit all of their uh goals since then so uh maybe I should get it so which which bundle did you get you got the off world one yeah I did ah that

comes with everything correct plus I added some more stuff one thing I think's a bit weird is I think it'd be good if it came with like there's the the person who's going to run it bundle and then the people who are just going to play it bundle yeah for example some of the stuff that you would get I would ask you not to look at CU it might ruin the game yeah that's a that's the problem with all these kind of things though same with d andd like if everybody buy like with the you know the pre-made Adventures like sometimes there's stuff in there that the players need but then also it's got all the spoilers although I might oh by the way dance not here this week he's not where yeah yeah yeah yeah it's not

just he hasn't just been quiet this whole episode he's not here this week I was thinking Dan Dan huh all right so you can get add-ons for this so maybe if me and Dan would sort of like to do that lowest pledge thing and then just add the add-ons for the stuff that we would need sure yeah that way you've got like the you get like well the rule book we would sort of need that make things interesting but we don't need I mean not to not to encourage I don't know that this would count but I mean I'm getting a digital version of the rule book I don't know that it would it I don't know how this works legally but I mean if we're going to play it I guess I could share it with you I don't know cuz that's what would happen if we were all

in the same room right you'd be sharing it with us yes so no I'm I'm not encouraging anything illegal intentionally no no it's just yeah this is this is a sort of a weird one cuz you're not sort of sharing it you're not sort of giving me the PDF so I can go run my own no I just want to play with you guys yeah maybe I'll have a closer look I've got a little while how many 19 days yeah well they asked for this cuz I'm want new Australian kickstarted The Pledge they wanted $1 14,26 they currently have $1.6 million Australian dollar yeah they're doing it right yeah so they wanted yeah 10,000 us

they've got 1 almost 1.2 million us so people are uh people are excited about this clear well it's it just like I said it's it's it's Blade Runner it's a Blade Runner role playing game where you play as Blade Runners and you replicates like yes yes please yeah um I'm backing it now but just at the minimum level at the minimum well hang on wait wait wait wait so you want the just the digital or do you want like a physical book no I mean I've just I'm giving them money I get nothing oh okay like just uh six some money so I can keep up to date and then I can maybe have a look at I get you I get you add-ons later or something I know I don't need

my 50 sex yeah it's a Swedish Kickstarter but they're getting it and then I can work out later if I want to get something cuz yeah it's one of the things I would love to do these but I always used to get like caught up with work so I was never able to commit to a time I get now I sort of changed my role a bit I get stressed out running these things uh especially if they're long like doing like one shots with you guys is not so bad but I do tend to get stressed out running these so we'll see how I go especially like if you're trying if you're doing like you want to organize like a weekly one or monthly one organizing that and then I'll find way make I can't make

yeah I'll find a way to make that really difficult for myself yeah but then you've also got to prepare for when people go oh sorry I can't make it this time well yeah so so so yeah he's just a sleeper we're going to carry him along and my problem is that I'm like I need to know what to what's going to happen with every eventuality which is ridiculous and impossible and I don't need to like especially when playing with me and Dan no but that's the thing though is that I I stress about it less with you and Dan because and I kind of know you guys are just going to do the the worst filthiest most depraved things so I can just play remember when we did that that one shot the other a couple of years ago where there was a big part of the story was about me

making a chicken loaf sandwich that's right yeah I did I didn't plan for that I could I forgot about that I forget that chicken loaf exists until you mention it and it's just happened again chicken loaf I like it it's just ground up stuff that they pick up off the floor y when there's been there's a chicken around and then they found this stuff on the floor so it's they just assume it came from the chicken it's my sick comfort food I thought I thought you were going to say something else then anyway I get the fresh I need Super fresh bread I need a ton of butter and then I need chicken Loaf and that's my comfort food really and also that and veggie M disgusting when I was in hospital I used

to Crave veggie mite sort of sandwiches when I'd start chemo oh I don't know why that was my go-to because cuz the the it takes your mind off the chemotherapy it's like what's worse than this veggie M no no what the worst part was is when it comes back up God it's not a good food V much not a good thing to do knowing when you know you're going to be throwing up in another hour so yuck to both now v v and peanut butter so much in ages I might do that I don't why would you do that to the good perfectly good peanut butter they go well together they don't because nothing goes with except the

trash I don't think vat's legally allowed to be sold in America I think it's got to high percent and diarrhea it's got starch really fat percentage or something I doubt that's a concern for Americans I've seen what they put in the [ __ ] food here and what they put on the label where it says 100% fruit juice and then underneath it plus other stuff and they can just do that but look Americans I can tell you most likely what you're doing wrong when you try and have veggie M cuz a lot of people when they try it for the first time hate it and if they make it themselves there's a very good reason

people tend to smother it on like a jam or something else which just like a very light layer no look yeah I mean I know that and I I just don't like it and I'm I'm I'm being I'm you know being a bit you like M I'm being a bit hyperbolic about it but I actually just don't like it it's not as bad as all that it's just not for me but I have seen people do that or they'll just trying to eat a spoonful of it which is stupid yeah again that's not yeah it's not like that no it's not like peanut butter where you could just eat it smooth or crunchy so I would have said crunchy uh in the past although I've been convinced that smooth's quite good and it is useful I actually prefer smooth cuz I've been putting it in sandwiches smoothies and stuff shouldn't

crunch interesting unless it's a salad yeah but while you're eating salad but if you put it in a smoothie the smooth is good cuz it just you know yeah but then I don't know like crunchy peanut butter on toast so that it melts ah so good so good keep that veggie M away from why why ruin something that's so good I don't know they work well together this I don't know what it is this is the podcast now well let's move on to something else then sure we've been talking about television shows let's talk about how Netflix is just panicking and canceling everything yeah what the [ __ ] is going on over there so they're being sued Now by shareholders because apparently they lied about their subscriber growth and honestly from seems to me the biggest problem Netflix has is that everybody

just already has Netflix and so yeah at at a certain point you can't sell Netflix you can't sell something to people when they already have it when it's yeah you know so but their response is to to like it the growth are going up and also that they've lost numbers right their response seems to be canceling everything which isn't I know how you get people to stay or go back so theyve can shows they want they're canceling stuff and they're also they're trying to they're doing that thing where they're cracking down on password sharing which I actually think contributes to people cancelling if in a weird way because people are like well if I can't share any account we're not just going we're

just not going to pay for it cuz I think people are pulling money to pay for Netflix like that's my my what I've seen is that you know like oh I'll sign up for Netflix you guys Chuck me some money and we'll just share the account if they can't do that anymore they just will cancel they are they are looking at ways to sort of make that a thing so cuz to me I think you should just go here you pay this amount of money you get this many screens yeah that's how use those screens how you want that's how but now saying no you've got to be in the same house yeah but it should really just be look I pay for this many screens go ahead the screens are in different count so what cuz that well to me that can happen like was there when I went to America a

little while a few years ago and Hannah was stayed here we were both watching Netflix we're both yeah well I watch it here and I watch it in Vermont like consistently like we switch between them they are looking at doing something in some countries where so of you pay like an additional fee to add people onto the account which look honestly increase the money a bit just give people how you can use this many screens use them however you want away you go and I think people will be happy yeah maybe maybe but stop if you stop canceling all the shows that people want to watch will also help that's probably a good idea is yeah cuz it's funny you go to Netflix and it go you go to like like the Netflix only shows or yeah um and it's you look at and go you've

canceled that you've canceled that you've canceled that but you're still promoting the like the first seasons of yeah stuff that I can't watch now and apparently um weird apparently the movie library on there is like a third of what it used to be like they've just not renewed licenses to stream movies and stuff like that it's like what what are you doing well I I mean I guess it costs money so I don't know behind the scenes maybe there's a reason for it but it just doesn't seem like like well you've got you're complaining people are leaving but you're making all these stupid decisions to look seemingly stupid to me right yeah the person who you want to get money from you you got Netflix which for a long time was on its own which was getting licenses from everywhere to play

but now all those Studios have their own streaming services so why would I sell you the license when I want people to come on my platform there was a brief period where we thought oh we could just get Netflix and then we can watch everything on Netflix and it was like it seemed like maybe Netflix was going to be the future of Television but then as you said they came along you know Hulu came along and then um all these other services and now there's literally a a paid service for every [ __ ] Channel like yep so yeah the the dream has been destroyed and it's basically just cable again where you've got to pay for which we we we all we knew at the start this was going to happen that was going to be there was a period where it was like maybe it won't maybe but then everyone

jumped in there cuz and I have them all and there's a lot I don't have all I have a few in Australia we've got Stan binge Disney Netflix Paramount plus yeah and then we've got like crunchy roll and oh yeah some other minor stuff but they are a lot and they do add up yeah I have I have Netflix and I forget I've got binge yeah yeah I have Netflix Hulu Disney plus and and actually Disney plus and Hulu come as a package deal because because they're both owned by Disney and then I've got uh Amazon Prime has stuff on it and then I've got Discovery plus which over here has like HDTV and um all the Food Network and cuz we watch a lot of food

shows and all that kind of stuff uh and it's got ,000 sisters and all that good stuff that Jenna likes um and then I've got Motor Trend now which has Top Gear and some other stuff that I like um and that's pretty cheap I think motor tr's like four bucks a month or something look sh I have shutter as well which is the one shut like we are we are lucky whereas we can afford sort of but I have them all but all of those things I've list like when I look at the when I hear what people pay for cable here right cuz my Internet bill my Internet bill is $80 a month right and I don't pay for cable TV or anything like that I just have internet and then I pay for those Services right and so combined I

probably pay I mean maybe 120 a month probably not even like for all that stuff combined there are people who pay like hundreds of dollars like $2 $300 people are still paying for cable yeah and they have all those Services yeah and I I know people in Australia like they' still got like fox tail cable but that they you the only thing they're using it for is they use the box and the remote to get to Netflix cuz that's how they know how to get to it so crazy I mean it seems crazy to us but that's just oh and I pay for um for your weekly sports update I pay for watch AFL and F1 separately oh yeah I pay for the KO which is the most expensive one and that's just to watch the NRL yeah right Sports yeah Sports is the most expensive one for some reason yeah the AFL costs

uh like the F1 app I think cost me uh 80 bucks for the year so I get I just get everything and not only that when I'm watching the race I can switch literally I can switch to a specific driver's POV and I can change cameras yeah it's [ __ ] cool uh and I can have it on the TV and on my iPad I can have like the overview and I can switch to and and all so that's cool and 80 bucks that's pretty good um yeah the watch AFL I think is like 200 bucks and it's like just because they can cuz like how else are you going to watch the in another country well that's thing KO is cost me which I use just to watch NRL it does have a lot of other Sports on there yeah but it cost me $25 a month yeah right so see that makes the AFL thing not sound that bad except it's

just one sport yeah yeah I do get a lot of sports but basically football season starts I buy it football season ends I cancel it and that's just my yearly thing yeah but again all that's still cheaper than paying for cable yeah I think and yet there are still people out there who just not got to have cable cuz that's how it works and also I have heard in America they really if you try and cancel your cable they really sort of guilt you and try and talk you out of it not only that it's weird here right maybe it's the same in Australia I just never noticed but like if I sign up with so here in Rhode Island the two big players as far as cable and internet goes are Verizon and Cox yep and if I I haven't heard of Cox okay well yeah

they're like a big cable SL company and if if I was to go to Cox cuz we're with we're with Verizon right if I was to go sign up for Cox I could get a massive discount get some great deal right when I first signed up with Verizon I think the internet was like 40 a month so I was like half the price years now if I if I switched to Cox which would be a pain in the ass and I'm not going to do it I could probably get a really good price but because I've been with Verizon for 5 years now they're just like [ __ ] you and I pay 80 and it's not I don't get a discount I don't get anything special like it doesn't matter like they they literally only care about like new customers and every Everybody Just switches and I'm like I can't be

bothered because I think over the long term it's it's just not worth the hassle but it's a pain then there'll also be a couple of days where you won't have anything yeah and then the the like I said the deal that I got I get gigabit internet for $80 a month it's it's a good deal I'm I'm I don't want to lose the deal I'm just going to stick with it but it just just baffles me that everybody's like like people literally do they just switch every year because you save I'm like [ __ ] that it's just a lot of effort but it's like a weird business thing right where where new signups are more important than actually keeping customers is [ __ ] weird like at Netflix the way you need to be creating content to get people to come and stay I think them cancelling is not going to

work because if things if you're not making new content and you're not sort of getting as many licenses as you are you're not going to get new people to come people to stay unless along the lines of what I'm saying right if if new if if new signups are more important than keeping existing customers maybe they are trying to drive everybody off so that then they can then lure them back in and say look our new subscribers are through the roof again and then they'll just go through a cycle which sounds insane but that literally is what the cable compan seem to do well yeah and cuz your investors I guess look at the numbers in you lose people your stocks go down and then hey look we're getting more your stocks go I hate stocks I hate I think that's a

problem I know it's weird right maybe that's literally what they're doing I mean baffling but what do I know I'm not a businessman what do I know yeah yeah we don't yeah let's not start a streaming service no I'm going to watch um after this I'm going to watch P plus though and I'm going to watch uh St truck Brave New World yeah I heard heard the first episode that's out I saw an article that basically said either it's very good or it's just not as bad as the others enough that it's comforting like I think it's better than Discovery and that's all that matters yeah I think it's going to differ from Discovery a lot cuz Discovery was a show where you need to watch cuz it's all intertwining and

everything Brave New worlds is hey we found a new planet let's go investigate okay well I think Discovery had a different tone like it went for a modern tone which is I don't know Star Trek I like the classic tone where it's kind of light and you know light and I just like that that if I now you won't I won't miss an episode but yeah is just a here's an episode selfcontained we tie up all enss and away we go and actually not to say didn't tou on like political things cuz it always did but it just wasn't like dire and dark like Discovery was just very I guess I don't know got I don't know it changed the tone of it was just very quickly dark compared to Star Trek dark yeah I know Star Trek always had this way of it would talk about dark stuff political stuff or like social

stuff but then you never came away thinking oh the world's [ __ ] I like it always had like a cuz in the star Tre world there's no money that's right then why is that woman living in a trailer in Picard they pointed that out in the red letter Media review if if they don't have money why is she living in poverty now after being a St a staff lead officer yeah it never really makes sense like there's no money but how do you how do people pay for stuff at the bar yeah and how does gy gynan run a successful business or the what's it the fingy guy in Deep Space 9 how does he run a business if there's no money they love money if there's no money FY love money so they they sort of

really gloss over a lot of stuff I'm going to say probably there's a very good answer to this that a listener is going to write in and let us know so oh yeah yeah we're displaying our ignorance I haven't been a Star Trek fan for as long as I've been a Star Wars fan I know more about Star Wars Star Trek I dabble in yeah yeah a dabble I know I like my Voyager yeah I never watched Voyager I liked I watched the original series of my dad a bunch and I liked NextGen but I haven't watched all of it I just watched Chuck and the Voyager I've seen mostly was about the Bor cuz when I was a goth teenager I lik the Bor they were cool now I'm like they're not that interesting but you might want to watch this season of Picard then cuz I'm enjoying it season two all right yeah

all right especially Allison pill Allison pill oh okay all right she's the scientist lady right yes she in devs she was in also in what was it a Scot Pilgrim oh the drummer the drummer y yeah yep cool and if yeah if you like Bor yeah this is probably a good one to watch I did like Bor we'll see I'll check it out yeah I should I watched season one season one Picard was all right I didn't mind it I thought it was a little weird it's not but little weird and this one's sort of the same it's a bit strange the fact the fact that he's like a robot now I was like okay that that made that plot storyline

made no sense to me so cuz had something wrong with his brain that was going to kill him yeah which was we knew that from NextGen I think that was always the case we knew that so then they transfer him into this robot body yeah but then because we're not going to have it that he can live forever they're programmed in yeah that he'll die when he would didn't have the brain thing if he didn't have that thing but yeah what but why like you're doing this could we just uh not have it do that could I just live forever perhaps like thanks you're tracing you tracing her into to a body because he's going to die but you don't want you're going to kill him off steel because no one should be able to escape sickness and death but yeah he's escaping sickness and death I

don't know yeah it was odd and it's not him it's not him it's not him no he's dead it's a copy of him yes anyway whatever and it's a program that's running in him that yeah yeah it's weird thinks he's him right and then you get into that hole like well what's the difference and then you go cross-eyed because there is a difference but I can't T yes exactly like they disintegrate you into atoms that means you stop existing yes they reassemble them at the other side but that's not you not you that it's a copy of you that thinks it's you and the first time you teleported you died yes

that's like uh The Prestige mhm yeah but this is why you just need to not well actually I guess from that perspective now you pointed that out Star Trek already has this because that's how the teleports work presumably so they they've dealt with this already but yeah this is way you just need to go it's a television show or a movie and just accept it otherwise you can't enjoy it yeah well I think depending on the tone of the show I can or I cannot it's like I'll let you know what Brave New worlds is like though but I'm really it does really sound like they're going to the old yeah I know I'm really and I like I like the guy who plays Pike I liked him in Discovery as well hi he was he was the only thing I liked in season

two Discovery so I I would I want him to hold me I think I would feel safe are you feeling unsafe otherwise presence he just has that presence about him blink twice of you feeling unsafe in the house right now Luke either his video's Frozen or he's being very adamant that he's fine I fine okay but I don't Pike he's he's a good-looking guy so this just a sexual thing that's not sexual thing I think he's a good-looking guy I think he's quite confident right that's all I got I'm also looking to see he's number one who plays her that's all for this week thank you
