out I need toat before I take it recreationally yeah no and so today yeah I'm trying again after having breakfast and piona I was gonna I was gonna say piona you know what I'm gonna have when I get to Australia's [ __ ] poso what' you have for breakfast I had um a Spider-Man strawberry custard okay we knew it was going to be something unusual but I couldn't have guessed that in a million years I like how Spider-Man's not the brand I'll put that out there right now it's but he's on there mat on there he's why why that particular brand of custard was bought yeah do you do you eat them when he's not on there cuz I assume that's a

seasonal not seasonal but you know it's promoting something no uh sometimes I have Star Wars characters okay oh I bet you get a lot of strawberry custards when that happens yes when you say strawberry custard a that sounds more like a dessert than a breakfast no it's true custard it's literally just custard helps little pouch and I just suck on it no okay wow I I think I'm beginning for children I I think I'm beginning to understand why why it has Spider-Man on it and I thinka eats some similar meals something very Sim I was say you've described something that I have in my house too but yeah it's not my breakfast and actually I've moved on from that now I just I just squish up a bunch of raspberries and put some yogurt

on it I haven't moved on from it it's great lra just eats an English muffin with peanut butter on it [ __ ] loves it oh that's great we've yet to wean onto peanut butter have you introduced her to Veggie Mite yet no because I like her Harper loves fite Harper into it yeah cuz we're into it I love it FEG might's great and know also the great cuz the reason why I thought of Veggie but is cuz you said peanut butter and a great sandwich is peanut butter and veggie mut you even better sandwiches don't don't do that a peanut butter sandwich you haven't [ __ ] destroyed any by putting filth on it but but I I would say the same for a PB&J Matt I I would say there's nothing that ruins a jam sandwich more than peanut butter and nothing that ruins a peanut butter

sandwich more than Jam yeah each to their own I guess I did see and I to be honest I saved it because it did look pretty good I saw a peanut butter and jelly toasty on Instagram somebody was making I was like I would try that so I say that I know and I talking to someone about it and they're like oh what it's like a grilled cheese I'm like no it's not like a grilled cheese it's it's a toasty it's like sealed up and then like like what are you talking about I'm like don't wor it I I'm not a toasty fan oh I am the fact that it literally just burns the toast into two halves is and then you bite into it and if you haven't left it long enough it burns you yeah it'll burn you as well yeah cheese in there baked beans sweet

extremely tired today because I threw a party yesterday and um I forgot to attend big piss up it was a long way for you to come for a one-year old's birthday party well it was a bit of a piss up actually where at least birthdays one year first year birthday parties are not for the try correct correct although I I just assumed more people would want to get their drink on than they did and so now my fridge is stocked to the brim with leftover beer we had we couldn't we we had it at uh a venue in East greenage uh which I don't know if you guys know what I mean by that it's a it's a cool place it's it was near you could look out in the water and stuff like that and one of the things was you can't take booze in but there's a bar there so that we're like

well that's fine those who want drinks can just get cheap drinks get get their own yeah yeah yeah that's that's great that's great somebody at work was like oh you're having a little party for it and I'm like my wife doesn't throw little parties throws full scale events and so that is what we're doing I saw the balloon there was a balloon arch yeah I saw that yeah yeah I had to inflate 90 balloons I saw that too for that balloon arch well not all of it in time lapse yeah so yeah I can understand being tired from that absolutely but just it's going to get worse when you get older when she gets older though her next part is when she's 21 oh okay yep I've done this one 21 18 when I was

18 yeah we did 18th in Australia did we not no 20 21st have become quite big in Australia as well now for some reason I mean that's odd too that's odd though right cuz in Australia I mean listen who don't know you can you can drink at 18 that's why the 18 you're 18 you're an adult you can drink get out of my the 21st was just like well that's the American drinking age so let's just have a party then as well go to America and drink cuz as if we didn't have enough parties anyway when we were kids but when we were young that was more that was just a let's go get drunk we did that anyway yeah but we had a re anyone reason soon as we were 18 or or close enough that they' led us into the Henry Lawson 17 what we did yeah guys do you

remember what drinks cost on a Monday at the hen lawon Club I remember you could go up with a $10 note and get five Bourbon and cokes it was $220 for spirits and $250 for beer so I used to drink bicard and Coke a lot and then I hadn't had one in a long time and then the other day I had a Dr Pepper and I just popped into my head I'm like I wonder what that would be like with some batti in it so I I had some batti on hand popped it in there delicious so and I was like well I got to drink this more often probably shouldn't but that sounds good I remember when we were in America and I found out that Scotch goes well with Dr Pepper as well it oh it does scotch and Dr Peppa sounds like two flavorsome things clashing with one another that's not 50% of Luke's

suitcase was a massive handle of Johnny Walker which I don't know what you call that in Australia I you I think you can even buy that much of on a hinge yes so that you could wasn't on a hinge it was cuz it it was a 3 and 1/2 L one it wasn't 4 and 1/2 L [ __ ] enormous but I brought it for $45 yeah oh wow that's ridiculous so he had that and then he also had a like a slab of Dr Pepper cans that's and that was most of his suitcase now you are I believe only allowed to bring one liter of liquid into the country right yeah we had to make sure that was was this checked in I helped yeah that that that was finished that that that those was 3 and a half liters over what 3 weeks oh I this was for your holiday this wasn't bringing back

home purchas day one as we were you know we wake between the going out and drink one for breakfast yeah you knew me I've changed I don't do that anymore our first America drink we first America drink that was a fraudi and slip our first America trip we drank morning noon and night didn't we and we every time we did it we'd also justifi to our our elv out loud we're on the holidays I also remember I remember you and I in Seattle and I I don't know who which of us initiated this but we had a conversation where we were like can we not have a drink with lunch and can we go to a place that has like some kind of vegetables we went to a vegetarian restaurant did because cuz Dave and Paul were just like [ __ ] hamburgers Burgers inject them into me

ribs yeah yeah but but I remember also because at one point I was like I'm just going to get a salad honestly I've eaten so much meat and I've eaten so much cheese there's cheese on everything in America and salad and the salad came with cheese on it yeah I was like what are you doing you know it's I put cheese on salads now just because I've gotten so used to it and it it's but that was unusual at that time which is kind of funny to think back on cuz now it's just common place you're a real American now oh I was me need to ask I was going to do ages ago I had this um idea for a um for a segment where I was going to write a list of all the really American things and then ask you done yes or no yeah and I thought that would still be funny but I I just never got around to actually do

one of the things well see what I was going to ask okay specifically about your pickup truck is your handbrake on your steering wheel no it's a pedal on the oh [ __ ] okay even even more bizarre okay my shift is here and my my handbrake is the left most your ship so it's a manual transmission no no no no like the the the they don't have manuals in America anymore they don't anywhere do they manuals we're talking to I was talking to Jen about this the other day oh if you want a sports car they do in Australia you can still get them you have to go out and request it in Europe they are still quite big but if the electric car coming in oh yeah there's no point they're just going to go away the last um

Supra you know Toyota Supra they do that that real rev head sports car the the last one of that was not available in manual and everyone was like are you [ __ ] serious what's the point like we like this yeah it's like what was the the Mitsubishi Lancer that was the the Evo right the Lancer Evo which is the rally one why would you get that like don't make an automatic one anyone who's buying that doesn't automatic the thing is now is we our what we grew up with autos and manuals an auto is not like what we remember like no power takes forever to get started oh sure with the Autos with the Autos now they they're quite quick and then also you do you can change gears manually yeah yeah that's true

mine's got buttons you can shift up and Shi down but in our heads AOS are just use super slow things that our grandparents may my mom's Toyota Corolla yeah it's it my Mini Cooper that I had and granted this was a 2014 so I guess that's almost 10 years old now but um it it would change gears about 2 seconds later than I would have changed if I was in Char you're a r head you like to speed this was trying to slow you down true that is true that is true I'm going to deny that yeah but well even that's going to sort of going to disappear because like electric cars they don't actually have gears do they gears no it's go and stop cuz there's no need to change gears it's just is that true I don't even think I

was aware of that yeah cuz it's yeah like a t stuff it's just it's just a motor you turn it on it goes and then turns off there's no need direct to the wheel whereas on a car it's like up aill goes through a transmission whereas in the in the electric it's just the power go straight to the wheels and you go straight from the iPad to the wheel yeah no no I'm just I'm going to have a feeling that in the next 10 years they're going to see a Crackdown on cyber crime and the the the penalties are going to start being advertised a lot more and they're going to be become quite harsh that's just a feeling well the thing is like you're starting to hear now like people like oh we can hack the Tesla we can do this do that so they're going to have to try and really come out with

like the deterrent is going to be quite big I start think we'll start seeing a lot of advertisement forer everywhere right it's just a feeling that this will C crime is not when I rob a bank wearing a gas mask and baggy pants with chains and glow sticks no right it could be it could be um I've stopped wanting a Tesla I must say there was a time where I definitely I definitely wanted one and now I absolutely do not want one yeah it happened quite quickly too cuz I was just it's like he I honestly I feel like he went off the rails when he in Grimes split up and I was like you know what I don't know he's gone he's gone a bit batty for that let's let's did he become b or is it just we started hearing more of those stories well you've been through a divorce Luke all your worst

[ __ ] comes out you you stop you stop giving a [ __ ] about everyone seeing how much of a loser you are yeah I don't know I think he's just always been a bit out there M yeah and this probably just made it bit more known or it's no I think it's also part of his like online celebrity's gotten to his hit and he's just gotten worse and cuz he's getting away with it I think for a long time he was championing you know like save the planet and do things for the people with Tesla and all this kind of stuff and then now I'm not sure he even knows what normal people like yeah because well he does a thing where he lives in like a small house or something well does he do that now that was Grimes thing thing maybe he's bought some more houses now who

knows I did read this article the other day that said that he only did the hyp loop tunnel thing to prevent LA from putting in trains and that worked and so now he's just abandoned that cuz he all he he just didn't want trains there cuz train doesn't live in LA anymore yeah and then so I mean I don't know if that's true but I was like if that's true I mean it sounds true from what from the little I know about him yeah well the the thing is he and this is crazy that one man who has this power to just spend money and make things that he doesn't like go away well he's just cashed in some stuff when he's just we've got some followup he has to spend a lot of money doesn't he we' we've got some follow-up yeah

he's got a C well he's cashed in a bunch of Tesla stock just in case he has to buy Twitter he he doesn't want to buy any the judge might say you've got to now I really hope they make him buy it he I don't the only part of the transaction that didn't occur was him handing over the money I know I think it's time he learns that there's consequences to his actions and words it's like I don't know I mean do you do we really want him buying Twitter if he doesn't want it it's seems a weird thing like I know that he there should be consequences to him [ __ ] around but then it's like good now you own us what do you want us to do now that we forced you to be our boss like what so odd well I think but he he did this I I know I know I sort of don't want to go on Twitter

after he owns it though mate I don't want to go on it now I don't want to go on it now want to go on it later cuz he's going to let like Trump back on and stuff Trump's got his truth social now he's fine let's see what happens to Trump you can't tweet from prison so we'll see okay yes okay so on the day that he was raided cuz he's supposed to got nuclear codes which I think is a good reason to raid somewh just putting that out there yes um for some reason I was on YouTube and a Fox News thing came up I IDE how I watch this to see what fox is saying oh my God yeah it's wild what they are saying is

just insane and this was a news program okay so I I do want to dig into this but before we do Matt have you ever had a Fox news clip pop up on you're recommended my guess is no neither of I because I don't search for things that would have the same metadata as so I see them I there are like Hospital waiting rooms that just have Fox News on because people genuinely just think that's the news which the news as as somebody who you know didn't live in this country and came over and was like oh that's propaganda like what is this like what are the things that was saying like like Biden's ruined the the removing of troops from Afghanistan and then they did go and notice like yes Trump did did Trump did sign this to start that all off but but we don't know what he had

planned after he signed that so we can't blame him for what happened I think like he signed it but he he had stuff planned and he would have made it done a lot better just like but I mean there's no evidence we'll never know but they were the same military advisor that told him it was a good idea to do it that told Biden so yeah but yet they just say as fact that yet Trump would have had this worked out and we we should have let him continue cuz he had it all planned it's like but he signed the papers for what he was advised to do yeah that was a mess but it was not yeah whatever we don't have a a right-wing aligned news source in Australia not a mainstream one all of our news sources are probably arguably slightly left leaning too and some more overtly than others compared

to ours I think yeah do you have what is it's would CNN be considered the leftist source yeah I believe that is CNN I think MSNBC is considered left leaning I don't know that they're I don't watch them I don't think they're as weird as Fox News is sometimes and and to be fair Fox News is not always like that I've seen like clips of more reasonable people on there who are just you know happen to be you know Conservative Republican people they're not all [ __ ] insane just yeah I got cuz I've heard about it and this is the first time I've actually seen and I'm God just wow yeah like how could people get up in front of a camera and just and that's not even the worst Steve bannon's got a podcast and then there's Alex Jones and they're even

worse Alex Jones he's doesn't have a podcast anymore does he I don't know I don't know what he's got but I I wouldn't I wouldn't even say that Alex Jones is a right winger he's just an insane person you know like it I can't imagine anyone on Fox News themselves with him I can't figure out if Alex Jones even just watching the footage of him in court when he got caught out when they showed him that did you see that clip and they showed him that it was it was a text message conversation him having a text conversation with somebody about the this video that they posted of of Medical Training where they intubate a dummy and then and then they put an article on Infowars saying this is um how they fake videos cuz CO's not real it's just dummies they're not real

intubating people it's dummies and this is we proved it footage and it's someone texting him and saying we're going to look like [ __ ] idiots if you don't take this down it's so obviously just medical training footage and then Alex Jones is like yeah yeah I get you and then so it seems like he's like yeah I know but then in court he's like no that's absolutely true like he's on the stand and he's like well it's true and then so I I don't know if he believes it or if he's like like lying or is he just insane like I just don't know or is that a character he plays I think it's one of these things that he maybe went down followed the path down for like people are believeing this making me money I'm going to into bit but then you go once you go down that rabbit hold and you get

into that Echo chamber you start to believe all that stuff I don't understand you can't really believe that can you like cuz here's the thing there are some conspiracies or there have been historical conspiracies some of them have involved the government you know they involve vampires Dan well that's what I mean like MK Ultra came out was Declassified okay the government did actually drug some civilians with psychedelics to see what the effect was there you go we it wasn't as funny as they be yeah it had absolutely no use whatsoever no practical use but that doesn't mean well it's all real then there's a Bigfoot there's a [ __ ] Thunderbird [ __ ] we didn't go to the Moon I've I've the biggest debunk for the Luna Landing being faked is that it

would have been more difficult to get convincing fake footage of a Luna Landing in to put somebody on the moon kubri came in and he directed it that's right but you've seen Kubrick's movie right like what did you he made that boring it's called 2001 A Space Odyssey it came out the year before I gu what why do you think he made that that was practice my favorite thing so far about this Trump document thing is just that it's my favorite thing and it's not my favorite thing because I people are like yep so he said first he said that's a hoax it's a hoax someone like you know swatted me or whatever and then he said um the FBI planted the documents that they St they took from the from there and then he said well I Declassified those

documents oh you Declassified the documents that they planted that were a h that weren't there how how is there a scenario where all those things can be true no see the problem with the when he was going down the planting route is planting is saying that they found something yeah and that's probably yeah I did see I did see he changed that lot of the rightwing news sources were kind of jumping on the FBI being you know like oh [ __ ] the FBI that kind of stuff and then apparently there was a kind of a memo that got sent around everywhere saying some stuff might come out that we should probably not do that like cuz when people find out what's actually going on here it's not probably not going to look be a good look if we're

like you know picking a side right now like oh okay interesting we just slow out a little bit but yeah just let's wait and see uh what they found Hey cuz I'm pretty sure that like maybe it's nothing maybe it's nothing who knows well at the very least he had stuff there he wasn't supposed to maybe maybe that's all it was they just he was he wasn't supposed to have it went they got it maybe it's nothing dramatic who knows well even to start with they they thought he had something he shouldn't have definitely that's all it is otherwise they wouldn't have taken stuff with him something dodgy well exactly just going initially at the start it's we just thought so but mising bu they had enough evidence to go to before a judge who signed off that yeah he's probably got somebody go and

have a not just a judge a federal judge appointed by Trump yeah and AE of FBI had to sign off on it and appointed by him none of those people want wanted to would want to touch this with a 10-ft pole if there wasn't a good reason for it cuz this guy could end up being the president you don't you you don't want to be the guy who raided the former and Poss future president under for no reason yeah so might not be hugely dramatic but I think there's got to be something going on yeah they're not doing it just because that they want to or they want to make him look bad that's insane oh and he also said oh they could have just asked for him and then the head of the Department of Justice said we did ask for them we did for the last 12 months

that's why the FBI turned up to get him oh have you seen one of the other things he tried to do what other people supporting him tried to do they're trying to say yeah but Obama took stuff with him MOS but OB OB had stuff transferred to his presential library and it was all above board and all signed off and all followed the things whereas Trump just took stuff took a bunch of folders I maybe he was just setting up his Library my favorite take was like if they can do this to Trump they can do this to anyone like yeah who steals nuclear codes from the White House my favorite though is still um Nixon my favorite's Nixon where he

decided that for his own safety he would just put a secret recording device in the Oval Office and just record everything that anyone said in there and the only person the only yeah the only person that that came back to biting the ass was him cuz there literal evidence of him saying well you should probably cover that up then I guess with the people who are coming out saying they could do just to now should we go back to we explain like the FBI could already do this to you yeah like a new thing if they wanted to they could [ __ ] you very easily yeah yeah like I don't know I I find it very reassuring that in America a country that's that's seemingly so dictatorial in many ways the the federal

investigative body can still investigate the president yeah yeah it is a bit like yeah it's a bit like oh okay we can we're still we're still doing that good yeah that's nice that's exactly right there's a watch doog it's okay yeah all right let's get off America let's go to I can't look I'm getting off aerica in the month just jump just jump up jump up jump up for a little bit but that we have to there's still some followup news and I don't know how there's more followup news to this guy I assume you're talking about the human train wreck that is Ezra Miller how you would assume at this point with with the the assaults and the

yeah he's not even that big a movie star no one even likes him but but it's okay nobody likes him he his next movie after being the flash was going to be his big movie what was that what was that that's how I don't know but that that's how it would have worked like spring boarding from The Flash springboard from flash to get to that that's what all the other Marvel Stars Do Well Kevin Smith Kevin Smith obviously listened to this podcast and he's he's agreed with us he's come out and said you canceled Batgirl but you're going to release the flash with all this going on like the [ __ ] Warner Brothers yeah except that evidently over the summer which I guess is our winter which means recently yes um some they

did a whole bunch of re-shoot for The Flash and which which really lends Credence to the fact that they are going to release this movie and the new cut with the re-shoot in it has apparently tested with audiences better than any other DC movie at testing really which means that we were right last week when we said despite all of this there's like guys this movie is too good do they did they do rears with Ezra or if they maybe 100% they did I was thinking that cuz cuz this is meant to be like flash point so it's meant to be like changing timelines and stuff I I thinking that maybe they isue scen they had from him yeah he ran off and he runs back on the screen and he's someone else somebody else

yeah they they they re they reshot a whole bunch of secondary cast going flash is a bit of a [ __ ] withd isn't he like oh my God the flash is choking that woman yeah I think the flash is the villain of this movie actually where's Michael Keaton so yeah if they've done that they're definitely going ahead with it but it makes no sense like you cancel maybe Michael Keon beating the [ __ ] [ __ ] out of him yeah yeah and then you just come along and you what's the fell that plays him in the TV show Luke oh I don't know he yeah but just just replace him with that in that problem solved but he could just be the body double of coming and just get just shots of him getting bashed by Michael Keaton well no if we going to bash him let's bash him apparently Warner Brothers is all

over the place right now cuz they're also they've said there are no other DC movies except for the Joker 2 green lit so even the ones that have been rumored I guess apparently no longer kind of definitely happening if they're not going the Wonder Woman 3 Patty Jenkins that like that was like talked about apparently that's not necessarily happening T Hy coats was going to be doing that Superman that everyone got pissy about it because they're like oh that's that guy that hates white people well maybe you don't have to worry about that anymore but if you're not going to do these other movies why put this movie out just cut your losses and just claim the insurance to go Ezra screw this yeah yeah put got for a purpose

blame lost use the uh use the insurance money to to put back your oh they did say apparently they're maybe making a going to try and make a deal with the girl who plays a backat girl cuz apparently she was fine it's just that the movie was [ __ ] I mean obviously no one's seen this but I'm going to believe that I believe that um so they've trying to coordinate the say as a peace offering oh you can be in another one if you want like oh thanks I mean that's usually the case with the DC movies though I mean the actors are almost all fine there's only two actors in the whole DC Universe that I think are awful what Jesse eisenberg's um Lex Lu le lu single single-handedly ruined a movie that had plenty to ruin a [ __ ] as well to be

fair seemingly and I'll go out on a limb and I'll say galad do is a terrible actor she's an absolutely awful I think she was great so she's beautiful she's absolutely beautiful to behold but I I don't believe a word she says on screen it's like I'm watching a school play I like I like the I like I didn't mind those movies if you're listen if you're listening Al Luke likes you give him a call don't call Dan don't call Dan he won't believe you no send you across the hall that's a bit of that's a call back I don't even know that episode's available I think it is I [ __ ] hope it's we probably said something horribly offensive as well as that in guarantee we did guarantee we

but he has come out on the side of the Franklin jealous of this world who have said that he believes that these intimacy coordinators come in to make sure that men don't cross the line during sex scenes ruin the spontaneity of of what he calls acting um and of course dozens and dozens of female actors have now come out and gone it's your attitudes like that that exactly why we need the in cuz we know you all think like that if I'm shooting a scene and there's an intimacy coordinator there all I'm thinking about is I probably shouldn't grab the tits I want to grab the tits but I should gra the tits no the problem ODS up they they probably that's all the discuss you can probably grab the breast cuz that's probably what's been agreed to in all

these the the word that he's used which is the problem is a spontaneity part I think also that's the thing it's not just like now I feel like doing this that we haven't practiced but you wouldn't do that with any other type of acting like if you were doing a stunt scene for example you wouldn't go well shouldn't be a stunt coordinator cuzz I wanted to be spontaneous during this [ __ ] exploding C I want to throw myself through that window it doesn't say I'm going to do it in the script what if I'm feeling it in the moment exactly exactly it says he falls down think what if I want to really fall down and I think that's the best sort of comeback it's like you've got all of these other things for other parts mve why would you not have the exact same

thing for here well I'll tell you why Luke cuz cuz old actors like sha bean and Frankl andell want to get a little bit I say me to cuz when you if you think about what it like you're doing it's already awkward doing those scenes right and then to have to sit down beforehand as like say sha Bean comes in and he's like right I'm going to want to get my hands on those what do you reckon and then is like well it's up to her and she's like I don't want that he like all right but what about what about down there can I uh you know no and he's like oh this sucks right but also it's like well can you ask her with me standing right there like glaring at her cuz I think maybe that'll change your mind no I might ask her separate from you on her own just find out what her boundaries are I've

before that basically the crew were getting her drunk and were about to basically take her off and do stuff with that was just the mentality of Harrison back then The Rescuer to do her instead yeah that that that that also seems to be like stop that Magnum pida yes D knows what I'm talking about certain old Magnum PI don't worry I'll take it back to my place okay there's this one episode I don't know if this is the exact one you're talking about Matt but there was one I watched last night where a woman that he has never met faints at work she's a piano player so he's been watching her but she doesn't know that she has he asked the bartender like 10 minutes beforehand who's that yeah who's that so she faints because of the underlying score of what I would say

every episode of Magna Pi which is PTSD [ __ ] past trauma coming back in the present right she has a flashback of of something I won't give it away and faints when she wakes up she's now in the office of that club with this 6'3 Mustachio that she has never seen before she does not know this man yeah the the club owner comes in her boss and his best friends her boss and magnum's best friend and he says what are you doing here this is a bit weird right then he he says she makes an excuse cuz she doesn't want to say I've had some trauma and she says I need some chicken soup right and and Magnum goes you'll have a steak and you'll have it at my house

yeah I'm taking her to dinner man yeah then to make it even weirder they pull up at his house where security as the running jok is for every episode won't let him in and he has to argue that he should be able to come in so this woman must just be like is is this not is going on here yeah right what are why are these Doberman trying to eat us then she says I'm just here for a swim and dinner and then Higgin goes sure that's all you're here for I know so [ __ ] weird and then he walks off and just leaves her with with this man she's never met yeah yeah and I guess just in the ' 80s everyone was like yep that's absolutely I the moment that she woke up and he was like hi and I was like she

doesn't know who the [ __ ] he is never met this man yeah she's come back to my place sorry what why is she getting into his car right now he's been staring at her for 10 minutes and it's like a perve but she doesn't know that and even if she did know that that would makes it worse not better yeah I have been to India and I I able to see watch it now so oh enjoy it it's very good there's a lot of stuff like that where it's like I guess at the time they're just like oh whatever it's fine I also like it cuz it's just you don't have I it can be a show that I watch while playing a game because it's just procedural it's the same sort of story every week yeah and the thing is mag is a good guy but she doesn't know

that no that's right exactly yeah but here's the thing he is a good guy and he is taking her home and he will make her dinner yeah and if she doesn't want to if if that's all she wants that's all she's going to get it's fine like he's not going to do anything but if she wants a bit more she doesn't know that yeah yeah NE but Luke's right if she's up for it he's not going to go oh no we draw the line there he's definitely going to [ __ ] her if she wants to be [ __ ] yeah and even Higgins is like whatever like no Higgins but Matt so here's the thing the writers of Magnum I think all men don't like women right I think we can agree on that there was one always just hysterical Maniacs in this

show yeah hysterical women at the end of one episode Magnum starts to fall in love with this girl who literally gets shot in the back while he's embracing her so there's that and I was like that's a bit fullon then in the next episode a woman gets shot in the face with a shotgun oh yeah right yeah and that's the that's that episode and then in case you thought this wasn't meta enough she's rehearsing a scene from a play and you see a closeup of the script and it's written by the guy who wrote that episode of Magnum PI right just to tie it all back in that going no I really mean this right then the next episode is the Nazi episode that you mentioned a couple of weeks ago M that I was just not prepared for I was not prepared for how I I even

told you it was coming and you still weren't prepared yeah they would tackle the the touchy subject of mosad mopping up the the mess of the Nazis years later um in Hawaii but then also what they did at the end but Matt the most disturbing part of that episode right so this is someone he knows but not well this is the wife of the tailor that tailor the shirts at his friend's club for the waiters at that club who they believe to be a Jewish couple correct right the husband is missing as far as they know right and this is an elderly couple she comes in hysterical because all women are hysterical in Magnum saying my husband's missing he may be in danger Mossad blah blah blah Magnum grabs a by

both shoulders and says it's going to be all right then leans in and gives her a big old kiss and it's like no he doesn't he slap her at one point first I swear I swear he slaps her for some reason the kiss registered to me as far creepier than the slap yeah it's reminded me a lot of um Sean Conor James Bond at the moment a little bit yeah a little that kind of vibe you know what I want to watch now it just popped into my head and I might see if I can find it directly after this is his s his screen test for Raiders of the Lost Arc oh yeah because if you recall they had screen tested him decided he was it yeah he was supposed to do it and the only reason he didn't do it was cuz Magnum wouldn't let him out of his contract and then it

ended up not being a problem because Magnum delayed shooting by a whole season too late so he could have done it but it was too late they'd already recast yeah and he said people told him you just need to not show up for Magnum like you need to just do this movie and he's like I can't do that I've told him I I'm gonna have to say no cuz he's such a nice guy and didn't want to sort of screw them over he sort of screwed himself you need to do Steven Spielberg movie what are you talking about and then he was like I can't can't do it I can't imagine Indiana Jones with a mustache no I can imagine those are the greatest you don't have to imagine just watch the screen test well I know but that's what I mean like I I'd be looking at the mustache the whole time someone

out there put a mow on Indie it's definitely it would be on YouTube look it up I'll try and put in the showes cuz yeah and sha young I believe cuz you know they up different actresses depending on chemistry so it was going to be it was going to be Tom celic as Indie and sha young Mar as Maran cuz it was actually Indiana Jones that really pushed Harrison's Creer forward it wasn't star Star Wars was great but it was really Indiana Jones I went oh she can also act yes yeah and and and he's just so appealing in I can't imagine anybody else as Indiana Jones just because it's it is Harrison for it's not not even acting it's just Harris is very handsome when you look at him and you have to be that handsome to

pull off shorts that little some of the [ __ ] stuff they dress him in in Magnum PI I'm like what like is this what cool in the like he looks ridiculous and I think back in myass watch my I think my dad might have been a Magnum PI fan in the 80s cuz yeah he dressed exactly like that and he had the mustache that's so funny yeah yeah my dad had a mustache for a little bit too I um I watched one the other day cuz it's also it's early 8s and basically fads of of decades don't get going until Midway through so this is quite 70s in a way really with the clothes and realized mull his hair and bottom his

jeans are when he when he does wear long pants know really yeah um I'd like to talk about a movie if we can briefly have you guys watched prey I don't know if it's available to you I did it's on my list it is oh you watched it dude it's on Disney plus and oh is it enjoyed it if you guys can hold out I will watch it for we watch it for next before we talk too much watch it watch it I think you will like it yeah no I've I've put it in the list yeah all right no I um well I'll just put this I'll say then as listeners check it out it's if you like the Predator check it out it's more like the Predator than it is any of the sequels or any of the shitty new ones or anything like that it's there's a lot of memes online right now that basically just say there's predator and there's

pre and nothing else came between well especially there's definitely no Alien versus Predator there's no Alien versus Predator but for for reasons mat are you going to point out something that happened at the end of Predator 2 that ties this all back with the I am you you'll do what I did and and instantly if you if you know what I'm if you the fact that you've just said that you you'll figure it out anyway it's not going to surprise you in any way yeah cool I'm into it I want to watch it but no this I I actually got a shock cuz when I was seeing I actually thought it was a TV show oh really it wasn't until I went to sit down and watch I went oh it's a movie and I went I'll watch this now and yeah now this is what predator movies should be oh I might watch this

short story by someone who's not Stephen King and you'll go huh is it Joe Hill yes Joe so you would have known anyway yeah sorry he wrote uh lock and key as well oh I see it yeah sure uh this is very King like yeah right cool in in a in a very good way in a very good way it's been so it's it's uh Scott derkson director the guy did uh he did the first Doctor Strange movie and he did meant to do the second one yeah but I think he dropped out of it due to creative differences and did this instead um but he also did uh uh Sinister which is a [ __ ] great horror movie yes he did do Sinister yeah yeah but I can sort of see him dropping out of the second doctor strange cuz the second doctor strange was very different oh guys did I tell you I've seen it I

finally saw it yeah yeah yeah I meant to ask it's [ __ ] wonderful it's great it's just just fun it's a Sam Ry [ __ ] I can't believe that this guy dropped out because of creative differences which usually means the studio wouldn't let me do my own thing they wanted me to follow their on Rails thing and then they were like let's just get an A T likey I think I know let him make the most Sam Ry movie he can possibly make no I think I know why cuz he I think he probably wanted to go more down that darker line of it maybe maybe and that's pretty dark from time to time yeah I mean yeah but it's Sam Ry dark it's like goofy way yeah imagine if it had have really gone down that very dark yeah because it had the potential to to just be I know

some people were bothered by it like were unexpected with just how dark it was and I guess if you really really leaned into that you it could have been a problem for them whereas Remy I think kept the the funnies yeah like which is probably what it needed man it was like it was like Evil Dead Two level funny when when he [ __ ] builds the [ __ ] cloak of Souls and he's like the Z and I was like this is the [ __ ] best Marvel movie I have seen in a long time and I know it's not for everybody but it's like yeah actually watch that after this just really great when he's fighting himself it's just like yeah yeah it was good I didn't see the car though I Wasing I didn't SP it when go to the dimension destroyed and it's floating around the

the old mob is Flo and is honestly it is just one scene and it should actually been in two cuz I think you see it and then you turn the screen turns around something you don't see it again like it's very fleeting yeah right but I saw it knew be in there but I didn't see it saw a lot of other stuff obviously saw Bruce Campbell Pizza yeaha always gets PA yeah Bruce kble is the best I want to just mention another movie real quick um because I don't know if you guys watched the kingsman or the sequel to kingsman so the first the first movie the kingsman the Secret Service I watch this because I I like the comic book right it's the guy who wrote kickass and and he's like his stuff

yeah Kingsman was a very good movie surprisingly good surprisingly good and some of the best action sequence oh I'm making that up that's this one so hold on so the first one the first one is set present day and it's it's about this secret society that's been going for 100 years and it stars Colin furth as the kind of the gentleman spy character sure right he has a a a fight scene in it that's just it'll blow your [ __ ] socks off it's just it's really good if if you want to watch that type Colin fth Church fight into YouTube to see if you even want to watch this movie if you don't think that's funny just watch it if you don't think that's good don't watch the movie you won't like any of it if you like that

the whole movie is that right mhm okay they did a sequel it was garbage it was absolute garbage right okay not worth watching at all right then that's the one where they went sort of a more of an American Kingsman wasn't it correct they go to America and they find as American Kingsman and and it look it could have been good it just wasn't right typical sequel just take all the elements out of the first one and then don't actually put in what was good about the first movie right now they've made part three it's the prequel Ray fins plays the first guy who starts up this okay gentleman spy Club back at the turn of the century this might be one of my favorite movies ever really okay it is so good so watch the first one watch the third one and

skip the second one and okay yeah watch the first one and it's just a great modern day comical action movie right M this third one is just a legitimately good movie for starters it's historical fiction it's set during World War I which is a time period I actually know quite a bit about which made me wey going into this right they know their [ __ ] and they're doing all this alternate history stuff they've got real characters with these motivations that they've added in fictitiously but it all really still adds up and weaves into the the historicity of it um and not only that it's just Rafe fins is at his absolute Pinnacle yeah right as this role it's so [ __ ] good I loved it h okay I'll watch it I'll watch the first

one I've seen I've seen trailers for it and I sort of went yeah but never sort of jumped out something you could watch the third one loely Rel cool yeah yeah so I'll find out what I need to know for the first one yeah yeah all right but they're grain OFA salt movies at least the the first and second one is like just enjoy the action movie of it this one though the third one legitimately good movie all right I just remembered something that was sent to me this is from uh magum Pi episode just if you've seen this before don't worry about it but apparently this is a real clip from made I have not seen this m mhm yep Again Luke if you like that clip watch the series it's all like that if you don't like that don't watch any of it cuz it's all like that do you

know what do you know what made me think of that was when you said to Google colen F Church fight I instantly thought of right that I should find that for you so that you actually looking at the right clip let me nstop work on Sunday that's right is it that like the one day that they do work he [ __ ] shoots her and I know for a fact that that in this in the actual sequence she does pull a gun on him first but it's still hilarious that that's he's like nuns don't work on Sunday well just the fact that he shoots a [ __ ] nun in the back is funny yes um last week I mentioned that I was also watching a little bit of um Miami Vice I was tanning them in with Magnum PI for a

bit because mag Miami Vice it's similar in tone to a point but Miami Vice is not silly at all it doesn't do looks into the camera or tongue and cheek it tries to be very serious but there which is why I'm going to skip that but there yeah it's not for you but there's some things that are just that just haven't aged very well that make it a bit funnier than I think they were meaning for it to be like in the first episode and look do you care about spoilers for the first episode of Miami Vice I do not yes so this is the one case that looks like don't ruin it yeah that's right there's a killer right yeah and it's this woman and she's in this dress and this big hat and everything sounds like it's clearly a [ __ ] man in a dress because they only show the bits that

wouldn't give away that it's not a woman right oh and then in the end there's like the reveal it's a [ __ ] man and it's like yeah oh obviously and we know who it is like right they I'm sure this wasn't meant to be silly yeah that's right so I shouldn't watch um no you should definitely watch it it's great all right it's it's it's imagine if Magnum P if somebody made Magnum PI were like dark and gritty someone should do that oh wait they did remake magn they did they did but I think they still made it silly and um they remade both they gender swwa um well I I watched the Miami Vice movie jend swwa who Jes swwa who Higgins oh they right Higgins is a beautiful woman in the remake really I don't know if they did a

Miami Vice the same voice series but they but they did do they did do a remake movie and it is dry as [ __ ] oh you know what we've got a well this will be in the Afterparty I assume we've got a geek of the week who's not present in the spread sheet I've just noticed oh pop pop them in I I assume you're talking about um the NRL great Paul Green don't know who I don't know I don't know who that is ah he was actually is a he's a Premiership winning NRL coach who sort of died quite suddenly 49 sort of shocked everyone 49 Jesus see people are starting to die at this age starting to scare me yeah yeah cuz like when you're young in your 20s all people die in their like
