welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy not happy with you Matt why I'm blaming you this is a good way to start what did I do you can finish recording his podcast and go and play blade runner enhanced Edition on Xbox right now and I cannot I'm not convinced I want to I was going to say the same thing no from the reviews I've been seeing I haven't read reviews I've just looked at it and I'm if I'm going to play blad run I'd rather play the old uh VGA version yeah well here's the thing it's not a remaster and I think that's where a lot of people are going wrong they're going they're thinking it's meant to be a

remaster it's just they' just made it so would a run oh well yeah I mean it I don't know it looks it looks somewhat different played it fairly recently yeah so did I it's because it out on Gog about a year ago yeah okay so I think it runs on PC I don't have one of those anymore but yeah it's also meant to run like thir uh 60 frames per second instead of 15 or something um there oh with the Gog version you don't actually have that Gog version anymore well you can't buy that version of Gog come and take it [ __ ] come and take it yeah out of my cold dead hand now that they're selling the new version on Gog um the version that you had is now like a a DLC for the new version Oh but if I've already well here's the thing

I've got it but it's not downloaded on my computer it's just in my library yeah so is it gone now or I'm not quite sure I feel like like Gog I feel like would fight that but I could be wrong Gog are usually on our side that's well I feel like they are that maybe that's just a good Mark but you wouldn't want to go up against big Blade Runner would you you probably you probably still have it you probably still have but I can't go buy a copy of it now I'd have to buy a copy of the new version yeah Ian I'm not going to sue the Terrell Corporation and I get it comes as a free additional content more human than human I mean what am I I can't compete with that I'm just a regular human yeah I still looking forward to playing it and that's why I'm not happy with M now look

I saw a um it was a article that said it's worse than the old version and I saw some screenshots and I was like certain looks worse that that yeah so I don't know I just don't understand what the point of it is then just make it work and then walk away why did you Tinker with it yeah remind us that there's a great old game we love to play and we'll probably Chuck a couple of bucks to you yeah and play it again the funny thing is is I went through and cuz to have a look and go like is it coming yes or no and I actually found like the original blade running game was actually what Dan and I both have filthy Minds we both like and I was like I'm not going to laugh and then I saw Dan laugh and I was like

no we do need to know if it's coming yeah yeah yeah yes or no that's all like just just a yes or a no I have to ask often so so I went to look at classification it was originally classified in Australia so the game's been classified before here so I don't know why it's I can't play it now I mean there's no drug use in it as far as I can remember yeah which is usually what what [ __ ] us here in Australia no no it's it's I think in this one it's the um sexual references oh oh like when fantasmagoria got banned because it was implied that he rapes her in it yeah no nobody gets raped in Blade Runner oh you're not playing it right Danny haven't you seen the movie I think Rachel does oh God that is that is the most uncomfortable love scene purely

because the actors didn't like each other yeah and the director was off camera yelling [ __ ] each other and they reluctantly did awkward as [ __ ] but yeah cuz I actually I actually thought it might have just been due to the fact that maybe didn't get rated in Australia because you know yeah like you don't to get PC games rated to release them but the second they go to console you do but yeah this one was actually rated back then so they do kill a dog in it maybe cruelty to animals gets you on the list I don't know I've murdered a lot of animals you don't see that happen though right it just happens off screen or am I remembering that wrong no I think you're remembering wrong oh I mean there's multiple ways that that can go down oh

okay that might be why I thought you saw his head explode or maybe maybe it was just so visceral that I imagined it could be yeah but there's also I mean this is a spoiler really I mean it's ambiguous as to whether the dog is a real dog or a replicant dog right what's the difference more doggy than doggy more pup than pup I like it yeah but that also sounds like a hot dog stall in the uh the Blade Runner Universe replicant hot dogs more pup than a pup uh I wonder if I I could eat that probably right if it was like not a real dog I don't see why not I mean you can eat it you can eat an impossible burger right I do I have done yeah yeah then you then you could eat

hot dog for sure yeah I mean human cells but synthetic synthetic cells human cells all right all right whatever well hold on hold on if it was if it well here's here's an interesting uh philosophical question if it was impossible burger right so completely synthetic protein but human protein not from no human lost the guy growing the growing the cells cut his finger when he was putting it in there [ __ ] it fine yeah no he looked around he was like [ __ ] it I can't find any Pig DNA what's like Pig [ __ ] it I'll just use myself so you're you're really just eating a clone of of this scientist but it's a delicious healthy steak is it true I don't think we're very healthy what the three of us

specifically no I meant just humans in general think thought like this one week of going ask that too isn't there that thing about how and this maybe this is just like an urban legend but like that if you're cannibals have health issues cuz you not like eating more of what you are well number one is bad for you you definitely would you definitely would try to spread that rumor wouldn't you well that's why I'm thinking now I'm like maybe they just said that to stop me from eating people I know right um I know that there's something eating a human brain gives you something that you want but I don't know about their memories Dan they're horrible memories of you murdering them you don't want that if you if you are going to eat human just eat it in moderation so don't

want to have it seven days a week maybe twice it applies D it applies double to human flesh okay just let luk have this one did even more infrequently I'm uh if you can cut down where you can I'm thinking of that horrific scene in the terror that amazing Series where that guy the doctor knows he's going to be cannibalized and he goes and says to his friend when they force you to eat me only eat the feet cuz I'm going to poison the rest of my body yep H how does one do that he's the doctor he knows about tions and even if you're a doctor how do you just poison no he rubbed [ __ ] all over himself except for his feet s into the skin and would sleep into everywhere well he ate the SS of his

feet when he was to and everyone was like okay that character was a doctor and you're not so also I don't know listeners ride in and see tell me if I'm right there may have been a plot point where you found out he wasn't a real doctor I'm trying to remember he was also had a foot fetish yeah and he winked when he said it just eat eat the feet now eat them now look me in the eye and tell me you're going to do it I need you to promise that's a great show the terror that's a fantastic show can I tell you about a new show go on that you should also watch nothing like the terror but just something really good and I feel I'm in this holding pattern now where I don't know what to watch next because I've been spoiled for television lately

because we watched stranger things season 4 which was arguably some of the best television I've seen all year and then I went and made the mistake of straight away going to apple plus and watching sance keep hearing about this which is one of the best soft sci-fi shows I've ever seen really episode one was good episode two was very good episode 3 was great and by the time it got to the end it was probably the best season finale of a first season of TV I've ever seen really I don't want to talk this up and like overhype it there's no car chases or EXP expion in it it's mostly just people sitting around on desks no everyone keeps saying that it's [ __ ] amazing so it's not just you the story line in brief there's a company like a corporation that's work

is so secretive that they require employees to have their Consciousness severed so that when you're at work you have no memory of who you are outside and when you're at home you have no memory of who you are at work essentially creating a two people dual self yeah right who don't know each other and it follows four employees as they start inside and then ultimately outside the company trying to figure out who they are and what they're doing and it's amazing does it do they work at an insurance agency you find out know where they work well just see like they they're sort of processing their own claims and they're going n this guy's an idiot without approving this one there's a hint of that in a way in in a in a cool way actually because they have no idea I

don't want to give too too much away but one of them gets a message to their outside self and their outside self gets a message back saying [ __ ] you I'm the real person you're not all right yeah look everybody keeps telling me this Show's great like actual real life physical people and people on the internet who aren't real as far as I know sure but they still like it so yeah well evidently the guy who wrote this has never made a TV show before but he wrote he wrote this entirely and then he sent it to Ben steer's production company and someone went in one of the secretaries were something was like Mr Stiller I think you should read this script that some Rando just sent in really and so Ben Stiller produced it and directs at least should never have

said that because I guarantee yout Ben Still's now getting Skyrocket maybe one from us who [ __ ] knows um but it's it's really good it's it looks beautiful it's like if Wes Anderson directed it but on a day he woke up utterly depressed cuz it's like his his um his aesthetic like scented shots and pans and stuff but devoid of any color but it's it's got beautiful retro computer tech in it like it's just lovely show it's really good now Luke I know you're going to ask me if you can watch this while doing something else and I'll say this you can because it doesn't really make sense even if you're watching very closely okay look what I've been watching lately is I've been watching the new stuff Star Trek oh yeah oh yeah yeah yeah

and I recommend it the last two episodes have been great I've been hearing good stuff about it mhm like in the last episode they had like a it was you know how original Star Trek where you'd have like the they go to the alternate universe where it's like yeah where they have go Kirk was a king and stuff like that they basically just had an episode like that where they were trapped in a story book type of thing and they playing different characters that's a that's a little bit next generation is as well yeah yeah it's nothing like discovery which fine I got a bit over yeah yeah Discovery was more action heavy or wanted to be or you know what I mean it I feel Discovery was probably a committee a committee of producers looking at feedback and then

trying to give us what we wanted from Star Trek but not quite understanding yeah oh they wanted to be a bit more serious bit more action you know less of the like yeah but not like that if you watch both like the string worlds and Discovery you don't quite understand how Str worlds is a spin-off because the tone I just find is so different it's it's fun yeah that's another one I've seen people saying hey in case you're wondering it's actually good so if you g up on Star because of the recent stuff check it out yeah because guys I wasn't even that impressed with Picard I must say I started off thinking it was pretty good and then my enthusiasm tapered I liked it it the end was pretty weak I thought I did enjoy it I haven't watched season 2 um no neither and then I also I

watched the you know red lit media video on it which obviously they pointed out a lot of the flaws and I was like oh yeah they're right so now I'm probably going to have trouble enjoying the next one cuz theyve already ruined it for me I'm looking forward to watching their review on Obi-Wan Kenobi oh it's [ __ ] great I'd love to what they think about that train the first four episodes they've watched and they did a they did a thing on just the first four so well I'm not watching past episode to um because it was boring but I did do exactly what I did I did what I decided I would do once I realized that book of Boba Fett was boring which is I went to heavy spoilers Channel and I just watched I watch the reviews and the breakdowns of I'll give you of the episod DAT cuz they can't no

of course nobody [ __ ] dies heaps of people [ __ ] stabbed as far as I can s some people who people who could have died and probably should have didn't yeah no see that's the thing I thought finally worked out watching the last episode why I wasn't enjoying it there was Zero stakes in this show I knew Obi-Wan Luke Leia were all going to liveed all going to survive nothing bad was going to happen but also the other people I can't name another character in the show so I wasn't invested in their storyline either do the granding the third sisters third sister rer is her name Riv yeah but yeah I had no yeah you can do low death Stakes if you have high personal

stakes and you do that well but this didn't do that well and you can do though we know they're going to survive I mean the Titanic we knew was going to sink and yeah that was still a compelling film you know what I mean like but but you didn't know who was going to live and who was going die cuz you knew that yeah that's fair yeah fair but um Rogue one Rogue one you knew everyone was going to die because we never saw those people again and you knew they were going to get the plans out because we know that they did but still it it worked I thought what annoys me most about this is that it looks [ __ ] beautiful there's some imagery in this that I've wanted since I was a kid the final episode [ __ ] kicking ass yeah there

stuff in this last episode that I I feel like maybe if I was younger I would have been like on board but now I can't I can't I'm such a old [ __ ] grumpy old man that I can't enjoy it because I'm like no but this underes comes later so do we know if do people who grew up watching the prequels and the Clone Wars did they like this people have liked this a lot in fact I know that that that both Mike and Jerry from Penny Arcade really liked it especially towards the end they weren't sure and then at the end they were like no it they in their words it stuck the landing and I was like oh really I didn't think so see well cuz it's it's got all these lazy little things in it and I I know I did this the other week and I don't want to do it too much but

like did you notice this Luke right the final episode suddenly she's on tne how the [ __ ] did she get to tne she just got a ship and went where where'd you get a ship from but but I but even when you were talking about the other week how about like he says like say I'll talk to Vader and then like it goes to her and then standing there if it's la scene she just they've been shooting at this door for ages not being able to get through and then she walks up with a lightsaber puts it through and opens it it's like why didn't she do begin with yeah why just was hour shooting it I don't it just feels like to me because I'm a a cynical old prick that they were just like [ __ ] it these idiots won't notice like don't worry about it and I'm it just annoys me

like maybe that's not but why it's like that but there's just so many things like that where it's like it's either lazy or they were just like [ __ ] don't worry yeah cuz yeah when you said that cuz I went and watched it after I paid close attention I went cuz I was think maybe you've just missed it or something but no it's exactly what happened but and then I picked up on the fact that yeah they've been shooting the door for no reason yeah yeah obiwan says tell her I'll talk to her and then it cuts to a stormtrooper telling you and it's like wait who [ __ ] told that Stormtrooper and it back and Reb guy went up to which Imperial guy and didn't kill each other inside the locked door that they're trying to keep them out cuz it's a Siege like what like who wrote this

H it also doesn't quite make sense why that even that hanger door really shut and then how they get they get stuck because the the big door opens and it's like oh no only a child could fit in there oh lucky we've got one of those here oh we've got one don't worry like [ __ ] who wrote this [ __ ] like and and it didn't have to be like that cuz all the things we're picking at like the things I'm pointing out like like they didn't even have to be in there like you could just written it differently like it's just weird and they made it very clear in the original trilogy that they hadn't [ __ ] seen Obi-Wan and Anakin had not seen each other for a very very long time yes not only that Obi-Wan says Obi-Wan that's a name I've not heard since before you were born that's a lie that's a lie yeah

yeah a lot of lies Li that's [ __ ] lie I got introduced to you as Obi-Wan 10 years ago yeah but with the whole they haven't seen each other well they saw each other 10 years and then another 10 years later it's like a School Reunion yeah and now they're talking about a season two years ago you served my father in The Clone Wars and also only 10 years ago you and I went on a big adventure and no one else is going to listen to this but you he does say and it annoyed me because it was just so like oh they they've obviously spotted that this is a problem so Obi-Wan says to her at the end no one can know about this adventure we've just had so just keep it under wraps and then so it's now it's like oh that's why she doesn't mention it but like [ __ ] off I think

yeah also if you're telling a child don't tell anyone what we did together like that's that's not cool they already know cuz whatever why the [ __ ] would he risk going to alderon at the end like sorry SP whole point Luke why would OB keep them separate risk just to say going to Old when Vader knows now all the stuff oh yeah they kidnapped Leia to lure him out because he and B of friends like I why would he go to alderan like [ __ ] off that's the whole thing of when he was being even when he was traveling anywhere and being sneaky he's just kept walking around with for a lightsaber like it was just lazy can I point out

[ __ ] 30 years on from that Obi-Wan is on deer bar talking to Yoda about Luke and he goes well he was our last hope and Yoda goes no there's another and he goes [ __ ] what oh that's right he has no idea there's a sister no idea or is he just sexist and doesn't think women could be Jedi I hope it's that I hope it's that wait the girl come on mate yeah we you going to use Force sliding out of a vagina on [Laughter] think good one um from the kitchen see I did see one article that said it it fixed something and I and it was that when Luke and Leia talking return the Jedi Leia says she remembers her mother which she can't cuz she was dead cuz she was

dead yeah MH but Obi-Wan the thing oh I forget exactly what he says but the thing he says to her about her mom is what is reminiscent of what she says in she REM she yeah yeah but I I still don't I call be on that because she's when she's talking she is talking about how she was young when her mother died and you know she was talking about this is this is George Lucas's fault like to be fair a lot of this is they're scrambling here mind you I did like in that scene where Obi-Wan implied he only had hazy memories of being a child before he was literally kidnapped by the Jedi Auto and trained brainwashed and he's like I think I even had a brother once but I could never be sure I'm like that's

[ __ ] interesting that is [ __ ] interesting brother name where's that story yeah yeah exactly if you're going to do someone's origin story do that cool [ __ ] and like lean into the lead into the fact that like yeah even the Jedi Order were [ __ ] kidnapping children and training them you have no contact with your family ever again your this is now where it they yeah they were terrible oh I thought of something else too and I don't want to go on about it but yes you did right at in in the final episode she figur F out somehow that Luke's Vader's kid right that's why she goes there to kill him yeah sorry she sister yes right so she goes Noto we assume happen but then the only the way she figures out is cuz she hears this garbled message from

Bale that basically just says hope he hasn't learned about the children blah blah blah doesn't explain anything right it doesn't say oh Darth Vader's children blah blah blah it's very vague and and gobbled so we're to take it that she knew that he had children and that they were missing or like what the [ __ ] how did she put how did she put that together and then how did she not put together that Leia is one of them as well given all the [ __ ] other [ __ ] she knows yeah and the exactly same age did she tell Vader about Luke no no I think she she still could which is a [ __ ] stupid plot hole Yeah because when in original Cannon does Vader learn about because when Luke's poking around the

death St V's got no interest in him he's only ch right because Lucas hadn't worked out out that they're related yet yes correct but but then in the second film I'm trying to think because yeah but in the fake fantasy world like yeah but yeah in the fake fantasy world Luke's now like you know a general in the [ __ ] resistance Army but he's still just one of the faceless enemies he's now heard about him and they've got the same last name yeah yeah that's right that kid got Skywalker my name used to be Skywalker that's weird yeah I did have a kid once yeah had a girl as well I might ask him n [ __ ] it he wouldn't know well no no cuz she was she was brought up ler Orana so that's not Skywalker that's why he didn't know but he knew pregn with twins yes and he now

knows that Bale Orana and Obi-Wan were going up to something and he knows that there's a that a b everybody knows bana's daughter's adopted apparently we learned from this show which is again a [ __ ] stupid plot hole why wouldn't they not hide that everybody knows yeah it's just too silly I think the worst thing that's starting to happen is so when we first watched the original Star Wars the Jedi were not around anym more no one really knew remembered them now they're a Jedi everywhere there's a secret underground railroad saving them for years after they meant to have been gone so there's too many Jedi now the thing I hate the most the thing I hate the most and it's such a pointless little thing to hate but I just hate it so much Obi-Wan Kenobi wore the brown and white robes

cuz he lived as a nomad in the desert not cuz that was the uniform of the Jedi advertised himself I we're looking for a Jedi oh you in the Jedi costume y [ __ ] hell silly oh look don't worry we get something we get a new television show St that we may like soon despite all my bitching I didn't hate it I just there was just things there's just a number of things where I was just like stop it no you know what the storytelling let it down the writing let it down it could have been really good with only a all the things we complained about would have been fine if the storytelling was really good because we would have just been following the

characters and the tension and all of that and then maybe later on we would have gone oh hold on he might have known about that already wiing it just lazy right and I think the other problem is that too we've already been nitpicking it for 30 years right yeah no but we we didn't nitpick and I keep going back to this example but we didn't nitpick Rogue one no because but it didn't have anything that like made the Skywalker Saga storyline fall apart which all this stuff does that's the thing when you do a prequel it's to give new and deeper meaning to what you already knew not challenge what you already knew sure like not problematize what you already knew it's just look Andor comes out in August I think that's

going to be good because that's going to follow a story of someone we don't really know we don't really we haven't followed for nine movies it's just going to be here it is we've seen in one movie and also I think it's going to be a lot darker cuz remember he he was a prick he yeah and he actually even talks about like he's done some terrible things I want to see Terrible Things yeah he's going to be murdering people and then we'll get season two was prepared to a at least it's not I prefer season two of Obi-Wan over Boba Fett yeah they can't do more Boba Fett I I even tomor Morrison's come out and going what a piece of [ __ ] that was he well the in their honesty problem with people having liked ob1 is we're getting more of that so anyway whatever

but yes Andor might be good and then Tao Wati is doing something different maybe that'll be good yeah his movie comes out I'm I'm looking forward to him because he's basically saying what we're saying yeah he hasn't let me down yet I guess the best thing that's H that come out of all this is that I'm no longer that worried now cuz it's like what can't get any worse yeah cuz it can't get any worse I don't care anymore and I think what we we need to start understanding is there's there not everything is meant to be for us no no they're aiming a lot of stuff at different audiences now audence is too broad for that to ever happen now MH I think and the other thing is George leas was right at that point in the 80s when he was like nah I should probably stop cuz

this is going to go this is going to go sideways and he was absolutely right the fans you can't please them all it's too late it's too it was too popular but I'm I'm going to point out that we've not told anyone to kill themselves over this we've just spoken about it not quite happy but yeah I mean but but let's as a thought experiment who would we want to kill themselves uh to take responsibility for this would it be Kathleen Kennedy or I don't know whe any minorities in the cast we can blame this on oh sure that's a well that's a lot of people were to begin with good point yeah look I got I still don't understand why people were attacking her cuz people are stupid and RAC she was one of the best characters in the show in an average show she was pretty good

yeah well she made the mistake Dan of being the wrong color one of the one of the other inquisitors was a Chinese guy did anyone get the get pissed off at him um yeah they got pissed off at him because he wasn't enough like it was in a cartoon right oh he was a human guy yeah yes what about kale people mad at [ __ ] off yeah were they mad at I enjoyed his character yeah his character was funny I was I surprisingly was enjoyed him cuz like I thought he was going to kind of stick out like a sore thumb and then they kind of wrote it so that he he did but that was the point they used his personality sort of yeah yeah and I I quite like him yeah I don't mind I mean I loved um Silicon Valley yeah Silicon Valley I mean he was eternal garbage in eternals but that wasn't his fault but

that was just eternals is yeah oh I got one more one more thing how does she know that Vader is Anakin why does anyone know that why would they tell people that remember well why would that be a secret remember Anakin she knows that because Anakin tried to kill her yeah yeah yeah so and so I think she knew probably may have heard then that he she she saw Darth Vader come in with his big mask on and was like I recognize that guy yeah that's that's I mean it's a valid point but but is it a secret or not no well okay if it's not a secret why does nobody one know I you think he be on top of that [ __ ] think he's outside advertising you think he say to his like Pony Express hey let me know if Anakin comes back at any point yeah yeah I don't know it's

just it's his arms legs little thing but but just to be clear I didn't kill him I did I left him there very angry Dan Dan he does it again spoilers he does it again and then and then and then the emperor says Let It Go mate and he goes all right I will the emperor what for eight years wait then it's on the emperor is in is in this he comes in spoilers yeah and he he goes Lord Vader Let It Go mate and V goes yeah all right and word for word wow and then 10 years later he [ __ ] boards a ship that L is on and and she's like Darth Vader I thought I recognized you and he's like yeah yeah it's me who

are you no have we met before have we had any Adventures where our B other guy was best friends with everyone never heard of never heard of him yeah yeah yeah by the way have you seen a twin about your age I'm looking for one not adopted are you oh you are do adopted girls know other adopted girls they all know I think you didn't she she said that to T and I recognize you f when you board and she would have known tken though because remember she was a Senator that's why was she whatever why would she allowed to become a senator given everything that happens in this show why would the Empire allow her princess right because she was royalty and she was yeah but imagine if Prince Charles was like also I'm the Prime Minister now that's the orgas are

anymore y mhm would your old buddy from England Obi-Wan no that was you know that that that you now are Nazi and now you've got the Nazi helmet on but it covers your whole face but you're not you sound completely different you sound like James Jones you sound like a black man from Missouri did but did did did Obi-Wan even know who Vader was no cuz she tells him in this show I mean no no of Vader was there a moment do they they fight they fight obviously they fight but no I'm talking like before at the very start like does he even know that there's someone called Darth Vader gy would you even know the names of the lowlevel Nazi generals because don't forget in in in New Hope he's not the [ __ ] Emperor's right-and man he's the

guy who goes out with the troops to intercept he's he's on just missions yeah right he's like R Fin's character in I'm in go yes yes exactly right in Schindler's List Schindler's List I was going to say and who knows his name Matt [ __ ] knows his name Matt knows his Nazis you know he knows them yeah we call him Uncle AR so that's Star Wars news I wish I like this more guys honestly I wish I wish I liked this more yeah I know I've had listeners writing in saying you didn't like it and I'm like I didn't guys I'm sorry I didn't hate it ex I didn't hate it but it just it's got enough stuff that that I'm a pedantic [ __ ] and I know the stories too well and I know the dialogue

of Madness just in case want to watch that okay watch it I I do as a matter of fact want to watch it's out on streaming and such like which means it's available other places too no no I have it I have it on the stre watched on Disney I have the Disney plus yeah I got so many [ __ ] streaming now I have them all and I keep forgetting that I have some of them like you when you spoke about Apple TV I forgot I have Apple TV I have well you could watch Seance I I will watch Seance I have um I told you I subscribe to Motor Trend to watch car things oh yeah nice like rust valley yeah I've subscribed to curiosity stream to watch document entries which I signed up to to watch one specific documentry and actually when I went to sign up it was like hey do you want this

for $12 for the year and I was like yes I yeah I have Discovery plus which has uh all the HGTV stuff and it's got like all you know golden Ramsay shows which are you know guilty pleasures so yeah it's not very expensive I think it's like $5 a month or something I finished the offer the movie the series about the Godfather making oh sure so I finished that ended up really liking it it it's very on the nose and very cheesy and and it's really just a Paramount Pictures circle jerk um I don't have Paramount plus you can purchase it through Amazon but even if you have Amazon Prime you have pay more to watch it through their site I think I have a Str screen of it which I will think I got a scen that's one thing

I don't like about prime you go onto it and then it goes hey you can also watch your other stuff if you pay yeah yeah so I ended up going to Madagascar for this wherever it is we go for stuff now not touga toruga let's say that was a question at trivia one week and I knew the answer just because we had made a joke multiple nerdgasm say pirate content from Tortuga there's something about a what was the question it's an island off the coast of whatever and you know like blah blah and I was like I know that that's Tortuga yeah I [ __ ] know that and did everyone be like why do you know that yeah sort of yeah they were like oh are you sure I'm like yeah I am sure actually yeah cuz it's not something

they well that's like that movie Slum Dog Millionaire where nobody knows why this little Indian kid knows all the answers to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and it's like there was all stuff that happened to him I learned these things along my life in the order that you're asking them yeah and I have a good memory that was a good movie it was entertaining it was a good movie if you if you don't if you until you realize that why are the questions in the order that they the thing right if you're enjoying the movie You don't notice that until later correct F correct exactly you're it's it's a fridge door movie as I call it later on that night you're up in the middle of the night looking for something in the fridge You' got the fridge door open and then suddenly you

go wait a minute hang on a minute and that's fine yeah if I didn't question it while watching the movie it's okay yeah I haven't seen it oh it's good no no no it's good oh no probably is it's just it it doesn't ask anything of you it's just a good popcorn entertain it's asking me to watch it it's begging you to watch it so John Williams did some music for Obi-Wan and I'll I mean is theme for obiwan it's it's a bit underwhelming if you ask me it's fine it fits it goes yeah it's um it's there is it hasn't he called it quits now well no because apparently he said this week that Indiana Jones 5 may be his last movie and I was like okay I knew I knew that he talking about his finishing just bail before you do it don't do this one convince them not to don't go out on

yeah don't go out on that go out unless he's seen it and he was like although I don't know what the [ __ ] John Williams thinks about he claims he's never seen a Star Wars yeah that's exactly right he doesn't know what Star Wars is yeah I mean seen conduct Show the movie he has to but he's never seen it with the music in it l and it's the music that makes it really good unless he's one of those people who just he writes like cuz what he does now right he writes the theme for Obi-Wan he writes the theme for um the Han Solo movie and then um John Powell in the case of Han Sol but in a lot of cases in Hollywood even now ghost riders or whoever actually spot the film and do the rest of it so that could be maybe that's how John Williams has always done

it but all he's sort of like one of those actors that I sort of find sort of a bit arrogant where they get a a role in the movie that people love in the universe and they don't give a [ __ ] about it like Jared Leto sure like he gets something go I haven't seen it I have no interest in it so you put John in the same drawer they've both been in [ __ ] Academy Award winning films I've got my CDs organized John Williams and then there's 30 Seconds to Mars and then hey Matt Matt don't pretend you don't have that don't pretend that's not a real thing I mean they're both in my uh in my Spotify likes obviously but but it is one those things I just find annoying when people like they get this stuff and they don't it's not that they don't they

just actively don't care about it like they they have to go make a point I don't watch this stuff and we talked about the other week I think maybe the best person to do a Star Wars movie is someone who doesn't care about it well there's there's something to be said about I know sometimes remakes come out and the filmmakers say this is not a remake of that old movie that you love this is a new adaptation of the book that that was based on and therefore we're not going to watch the old movie because we don't want to be influenced by it we just want to adapt the book now I get that but you're right I think in in terms of of the I mean clearly Jared Leo had never read a Batman comic because he didn't know what the Joker was meant to be like mhm he he

definitely didn't know about the Joker didn't understand the character and then also didn't go and watch watch it and I saw watch it back and go when Dune came out kept saying oh I've never actually watched any other Dune stuff because I knew one day I wanted to do it and I was like oh come on mate yeah what yeah I I really really yeah see I've never I've never watched any more any more Star Wars movies cuz I thought I might like to do a Star Wars movie one day probably w't watch like come on mate I don't watch any how how old would he have been yeah exactly how old would he been when the original Dune movie came out it would have been right around the time he had a number one hit with [ __ ] Video Killed the Radio stuff exactly yeah that's right yeah he

wouldn't even have been ail the same year no he wouldn't have cared and he would have definitely gone and seen the biggest science fiction movie out that year so I call bullsh [ __ ] call [ __ ] whatever H it's fine but call [ __ ] we love you we love you but uh watch everything I watch something recently an old movie that he scored that I didn't realize Iz was him because he actually flew under the radar for like a or so yeah just being kind of a composer for higher without really putting his mark on things and then he was like at one stage he was like no I want people to know it's me yeah The Lion King came out I watch something recently where I saw his name pop up but it was just a nothing movie from like forever ago he got an Academy Award for

Lion King and then and then Gladiator won a bunch of stuff and then it was everything was just [ __ ] hardz it was on and then now he's got and then Chang everything again and he's got the Articles recently about um the ghost writing stuff that I mentioned before and he always comes up in them but I actually think not that I know anything in general but if you talk to people who work with him which he's actually quite good about it which is the reason he always comes up is because people know that he does it because he's honest whereas a lot of other composers I think most Hollywood movies that you see you see the person's name they didn't write quite a lot of the music for that right Ian and that is fine if you they signed off on it yeah

but that's the well they directed it too because they they wrote the music but then they gave it to other people and said go make this so that it fits the movie and then arrange it which arguably is 99% of the [ __ ] work is trying to make it except the bit that gets stuck in your head the hook they wrote that so they do deserve the credit for that but I mean it's like Michelangelo didn't paint the cine Chapel ceiling his [ __ ] team did you know he designed but he told him what to paint yeah no no I'm with you it is more complicated but but people get all pissy about it cuz they like well he didn't he didn't do the work and it's like well depends on Define the work yeah I'm pretty sure he's not just sitting there doing nothing while other people are doing I'm pretty

funneling money through our bank um so you might get a call from Interpol asking you to um do some things that seem unusual I just want you to know that I'm across it and I understand it completely so just do whatever they say and you go oh [ __ ] thank you Mr President then he hangs up hearing about this story then he Rings back straight away with a I assume putting on a different voice going hello I'm from Interpol I believe you might have been told I would call you and they go yes I can cooperate in any way and they're like we're going to um we're going to Mark some bills uh and then put it back in the account so can you bring um all the the liquid cash that you've got in the building just in a in a bag to the toilet that's behind this bar where I

will where one of my agents will take it off you and we'll go and use our special machine to imprint the invisible markers on it then we'll go to a different branch and redeposit it and you she goes okay so she goes you go and give the you go and give him bag of money [ __ ] hell and then you go over and over and over again the same guy doing the same scam unbelievable to the point where he just admitted he did it and like he was like yeah it's me uh you guys are [ __ ] stupid I don't even need the money I just can't stop doing this because you guys keep giving me the bags of money that's bizarre we've reported on a story a bit like this years ago where there was a guy who phoned up a McDonald's and was talking to the manager and was s like you need to bring he made them [ __ ]

each other and no I think he just made them undress no he two of them are in jail for rape two of the employees because she he made I don't remember that part of the I thought it was just a all sorts of stuff but yeah the manager just was doing it CU cuz someone on the phone who said they're from head office told him to bring him in and shrip search them because they might have been stealing or something or it's they were on the phone for something like 20 hours in that instant it was terrifying and then like new employees would just like arrive and they would like bring them in they there's all there also been insubordinate so you've got to teach them a lesson there's a movie I don't I

your identification so I'm going to send you a code to your phone I just need you to read the code back to me and then they'll go to login and then they'll hit the thing and then the bank website will send you the code you give them the Code they log in they steal all your money but like people fall for it cuz it just seems so could go wrong with the fppening and everyone's like how did they hack in oh sure they hack in in most in most instances they just called them up and went what's your password for this cuz I was looking at an article just recently I think in Australia it's reported about 200 $100 million has been lost to scams that's only going to be the people who reported it it's probably a lot higher yeah oh yeah and they they say they said that about the president scam as well they

were like most companies that got scammed didn't admit it because that makes you look extremely bad there's a lot of scams here to do with checks because when you deposit a check sometimes you get the money before the check's technically cleared or you get some of the money and so they do weird [ __ ] where they'll be like like say you you order something you buy something on eBay or whatever and then they go uh you know we charged you too much we'll send you a check and then they send a check and it's like oh we refunded you too much can you when you get the check cash it and then send us back this amount that kind of thing it be some weird convoluted thing so you get confused and but then at the end of it when the bank settles like declines

the check and all this kind of [ __ ] happens you're at like $1,000 you've already given the money I think in America you can go and get like you can just cash your check so you walk into a place you hand it over they'll take 10% of it and then pay you out you don't have to wait for Clear that's a terrible idea listeners in case you're wondering mhm try not to do that checks is terrible I still don't understand why America still has yeah do we still have checks here I've not we we do there we do have checks in sh but not really and it's more so just like between bank to bank when you're buying a house if you go to an auction you have to have a bank check for a deposit of what you're willing to spend at the auction but really it's like Matt who

because look I'm also quite happy just to give you money right now so it's done don't have to but sometimes I don't have you know like if for example when the air conditioner broke they came out that wasn't I didn't have that much cash line around you know yeah but but yeah like at least in austr you could we had someone come out and look at our air conditioner and we can just pay them on the spot like just tap yeah no that's not a thing here no no no well well you pay most most stuff like that with Traders and stuff you get them through an app you pay through the app yeah mhm that's fair like task finder and all of that like they're paid already just cuz your details are in there they come out if as soon as you hit yes I'm SA with the job they get the money you know what

know man it's just cultural you know but then the guys who come to fix the do I tip them do I tip the guys who come to fix my just give them what they what they've asked for yeah that's I don't know no you don't tip them correct you don't tip them why because certain jobs like that they get paid enough other jobs you do tip them it's very [ __ ] confusing you guys even T Uber drivers right yes in an Uber with yeah I was in an Uber with Brian when when he still lived in Hollywood and I was he was like you got you got to tip him I'm like what why doesn't he just Why don't I just give him but taxi drivers you don't but taxi drivers you don't right wait that's not true I tipped a taxi driver in New York City Once he's like whoa a tip are you

kidding me you must be overse no you are definitely supposed to tip a taxi driver I didn't I thought that was what I wanted you I've done some terrible things then I'm pretty unless I mean look it could be thatal they if they hear your accent they go I'll just inflate the price or something like that but I'm think I'm pretty sure you're supposed to tip a taxi driver well go don't know it's confusing it's very confusing and include your tax in the price I remember everyone in Australia complained when when GST was applied to across the board I'm like no that's better you want to know what tax you're paying yeah just just pay the [ __ ] just have it in the price tell me the price tell me what money you want from me here you man of
