so I've been playing death straining as you both know yes I got bored welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy you got bored I got very bored okay I got bored so you're not still playing it is that what you're saying what was boring about it just the fact that it's a walking simulator it's a postman simulator it started off yeah quite interesting but then it is just I'm just delivering packages and it's just backwards and forwards backwards and forwards but just to be clear it's

in a cyber Punk or postapocalyptic world and you do have a magical fetus on your belly yep the the bridge baby so is is all the hype just because of the stories weird then is it yes right okay yeah like the story I think is interesting but yeah the the like I did the thing I did wrong is I decided to try and get five stars at every settlement okay and so while I can progress the story I'm at a port where I can progress the story and get to episode 3 I've decided to go back and try and that's just ruining for me a little bit but at the end of the day that's just because I'm going backwards and for there even if I progress that's all I'm going to be doing when I go forward as well is just delivering mail also it's not your fault the game isn't fun yes yeah Luke does like to blame

himself when he's not enjoying something that's kind of his his character sometimes I feel guilty when I I don't like a game which is everyone loves well I don't know if everyone loves this but I sure as hell want to [ __ ] play it and I ignored this entirely because it started out its life as a PlayStation exclusive and I just didn't even I have watch bad news for you go on worse news I made a mistake I thought that you could uh stream it so you know how you can stream some PC games you can't you need a PC that's powerful enough to run it well sure I mean I don't I don't have a PC at all at the moment nor do I have a PlayStation wait so you can do the Xbox Cloud thing but with some PC games is that what you're saying yeah huh I didn't know that yeah if I just open up

um XBox now on my computer you can just go to cloud gaming and there's just a ton of games that you can just stream is Xbox now a thing I can get on my Mac um you know what I'll research that later I think I think so interesting maybe interesting Xbox it's just streaming like I said I wasn't going to even pay attention to this and then your kind of review if I can call it that last week um made me go and check out the trailer um you had me at mads melson for starters right um running around shooting getting shot at and I was already trying to trying to pre-order this for the Xbox there's no shooting right okay well it did it it did look like a cut scene that that that I think is part of a problem or or they might be shooting and I just haven't got far

enough and I should go far enough cuz being able to shoot would change that game a lot so there isn't combat I mean you might not be able to shoot maybe mads melson can Sho there is com the only combat I can do at the moment is throw grenades okay I mean that does sound quite action-packed yeah yeah but it it's it's not I don't know grenades are always the the kind of um the fallback weapon in in games what are you throwing them at um monsters it's hard to explain but the reason the reason why I I'm not a big fan of the combat is how you get in the combat so you'll be walking along and then the baby will detect some monsters around and you can't see them okay so

you can you got to try and detect them and listen for them but then if they do capture you it's a whole ordal and it just to me stops the game Dead a little bit how does the baby let you know does it just start to cry and you like starts to cry and C down you got this thing on your shoulder that then perks up and will Point like where the monsters are but it just points at the closest one so even though it's point it might be pointing away away from you and you're walking forward then all of a sudden it's that they there in front of you and just I just find that a little frustrating I I think if they got rid of the combat I'd probably enjoy it more if it was just a postal delivery simulator like I played Lake and I love that and all I did was deliver mail so this is

too exciting is what you're saying yes oh yeah yeah I think it I can go on the I'm going to go back to it I'm going to go back to it I'll try it again it's if it was just boring he'd be fine but it's boring with a little bit of a hint that maybe it's going to get interesting but then it does wor shut and just was boring and just be boring yeah can I play it my stream steam deck oh look at that that is pretty that is hang on is that is that a steam deck or is that the other one you B that's the other one that's which essentially avilable here is is a a handheld PC right it it runs Windows right yes this I'll Zoom just up cuz you just I I've only played a little bit and it's just windows it's Windows 10 and I can upgrade it says it's

Windows 11 ready can you get some kind of um boot system where it's it's just a gaming interface on it so that it is more like the steam deck or you have to just play everything from Windows and just open up games as you normally would um when you do load it up it does have the AO Neo software will load first and that I think directs connly to like Steam and stuff and you can it can just work exactly like that but I basically stopped that working straight away right Game Pass like Windows yeah sure yeah and that way Game Pass loads first I go in and go I'm going to play this game all I've really played at the moment is Pac-Man because I'm on new tablets at the moment which are making me weird but oh if I'm weird at some moment I'm

blaming them you can play any modern game you got this incredibly powerful to play several thousand Pacman yeah well I'm I can get you a little handheld Pac-Man for six seven bucks Luke they've changed my tablet so I'm actually on nerve blockers now nerve blockers so this sounds good okay so let's back up here let's let's do weekly health update luk you went to see your doctor on Wednesday and they basic see my surgeon he doesn't want to take my Lake right which no I don't want another one yeah I don't to keep it and then but did you show him like did you take in reference pictures of like cool robotic and bionic legs that you want him understand I'm pretty sure he knows about them I cannot afford those cool robotic legs I would get a stick I think there's a way we can swing

this I don't know the government screenshot of Monkey Island to say that's yeah like yeah the government's not going to pay for $30,000 leg for me they I'll get a stick is there any way that we could blame somebody for this and sue them I don't think so one of your doctors when you were a kid perhaps malpractice crazy experimental treatments they also have a very good argument like yes we tried all this stuff and look at the life you've LED for the last 30 used look at the life I've LED if you lived here in America I'm sure we could find you a lawyer who'd at least have a go yeah they're upas on the flip side none of your doctor's appointment so far would have been paid for by anyone but you so it probably balances out in the end so yeah my so he he

doesn't want so he's sending me back to a pain specialist he's put me on nerve blockers and I go back and see him in two weeks pain specialist his name is pin head and he's from uh the lament configuration I'm not looking forward to go back not looking forward to going back to the pain specialist cuz a lot of what they do so good at it is painful no they right they they're try to teach you how to cope with pain oh no don't do that just give me the best drugs there are I I know how to cope with it I've been coping with it for 30 years I know about Dr distracting yourself and not thinking not focusing on that's a lot of that my dick is red raw I promise you like I wake up in tears I can't do anything while of asleep to stop that

that's not a that's not a thing me thinking about something else doesn't work when I'm asleep you could get one of those hand job robots we talked about last week and maybe just put a timer on it to just like start joking you off in the middle of the night well no maybe not a timer just maybe when it notices that I'm starting to shift a little bit in my sleep and goes oh get unsettled just it then just goes in andhm yeah so and so I go back in two weeks and then I'll give you an update in 2 weeks all right okay but yeah the TA get it off me yeah pretty much yeah you brought in the saw and was like is this sharp enough just get it off I'm sick of it the new meds that you're on were they given to you by the surgeon or by the pain specialist surgeon yeah I was going

to say because if the pain specialist is like giving you the Good Meds now I'd be asking why you weren't getting those before Oh I am can't you just say give me the best there is don't don't just give me the next step up just skip to the very best so you know how to schedules in drugs no I'm on schedule eight I don't know any about that it goes up to schedule 10 one only M I've been fortunate enough to just never take much of anything ever so schedule 9 is like the stuff that can only be used for like research and medical reasons that's like cocaine what's 10 what's 10 10 is just anything that is completely illegal oh okay yeah H okay hold on oh like like like marrying your cousin or

something no no like would that make you feel better Luke cuz I'm sure there are countries where you can marry your cousin you can do that in America a lot of states is there any instance where a doctor can prescribe you medicinal heroin I mean I know they can give you methodone to come off of heroin I don't think so I think that is one of the ones that just absolutely know you think you already they can give you methodone to get you off it surely they can give you heroin to get you back on at or to get you off methodone that's right yeah I got to haveit so yeah they're not they're not hiding the good drugs from me okay class eight nice like the the oxycodone at the moment is like 40 Mig now that means nothing to me but okay a normal something that people would have would

be like the endome which is the the oxycodone which is like 5 mg okay and when you say normal that that's a high-end painkiller anyway like that's not like your P you've got never had anything like that I've the most the strongest thing I've ever had is like panadeine f they candy not to me [ __ ] KN me out for breakfast I if I have a benad dril like a allergy tablet I'm [ __ ] benil over there is different right [ __ ] yeah benad dril over here is like a little allergy tablet that you take if you cuz I get the mosquitoes here I get like a reaction to them so if I take one those as an antihistamine I am [ __ ] useless the next day just knocks me out so I can't even imagine if I took one of his his little tablets I'm jealous I can't

imagine either but I think I think we should find out no I doubt it get a cool guy in a bar to have it in his pocket and then when Matt's drunk enough that's how you get Mt to take drugs pretty sure I'm pretty sure that was a Tic Tac it was his Dima and you know it well he shouldn't have crushed it up like that shouldn't have put it on my tongue so before I got in and we started recording you two were talking about Sesame Street and Bluey yeah yeah I like Bluey that's what we talk about now I like Sesame Street yeah I like Sesame Street too actually it's a lot clever

than I gave it credit for I told you I told you um yeah lot a bunch of people recommended Bluey as like a kind of um fun light kids thing with like some lessons in there it's all very you know good like cheerful and you know sure and I genuinely think it's a very funny show it's about a family of dogs and there's the dad the mom and the two two little girl dogs one of them is bluee and then the little sister's Bingo and they just have adventures and they like 5 minute long episodes and it's just all very wholesome and good oh they're only 5 minute long I wonder why it got cancelled then it didn't get canceled there was so what happened I mean that's

if the same thing we're talking about there was recently a story about how Disney plus pulled an episode of Bluey in America or possibly everywhere but just pulled an episode of blue and everyone was like my God what was in this episode of Bluey turns out it's an episode of bluee where the dad farts in one of the kids faces and then the kid takes his dad to fake court and the mom's the judge that's kind of how the episodes go is they all have these like make believe Adventures but it's episode about that where they go where the the kid wants to sue the dad for fighting in his face what was their specific problem with it just that it encourages dads to fart in their kids faces I think they're

farting they said it doesn't it was just something didn't make their stands but they've put it back on apparently they said it was just a a mistake but apparently um so I think for what I found cuz I found a list of all the edits that was done I think there was if this is right it might have been episode 4 um oh and it was ban you to being paired with teasing oh so and so but they did they did put it back on that was back in 2020 Bluey band but yeah there there a few things that got like some of the like some of the things they changed in America like Captain was replaced with pepper which makes sense this see where the pony poops and Bluey and Indie

Runway with cut this is a new one I don't know this this one this is an article from uh 15 days ago and it says um uh in the episode Blue's dad Bandit is accused of passing wind in front of his daughter and that was apparently consider inappropriate and didn't meet Disney's streaming guidelines and so they pulled the episode and then I guess they put it back on and said whatever yeah like it's a cartoon it's a cartoon it was it's funny someone commented people had to go at Disney on Twitter someone said there's literally a scene in The Lion King where Timone Coxs pumba's ass like a shotgun and gases a p [ __ ] problem MH good point yeah there's a lot of

farting in The Lion King oh cuz farts are funny for kids yeah yeah it's a anyway it's a good wholesome show if you've got a kid or if you just want to watch it like I said I was telling you guys earlier want to get stoned I put it on for my daughter and then went to go do something and then paused it before I realized hang on I'm not supposed to be watching this cuz she does and also she doesn't know she stopping her she barely watches them when they on anyway she's just doing stuff and it's there but she does she does get annoyed if I turn it off sometimes yeah but I mean it's hit Miss if she cares or not but she likes my uh my biggest tantrum recently was when um cuz I've I've rigged up a cunning Contraption um which

consists of an iPad and an elastic band and the headrest um of my car so that Harper can watch TV while I drive just you know it might be worthwhile just buying one of those things just yeah I've thought about that too yeah just just but this that one breaks this was things I found in my kitchen but um we we had a we had a horrible moment when the iPad ran out of batteries mid Drive day and uh that that was not fun for me it was not fun for her and it was not fun for me is there a cable long enough to like plug it into man I tell you I'm in a Ral car at the I'm in a rental car at the moment because my car is being repaired and um you're in a rental everything I know right I am displaced

from my home and I finally know what the Jews felt like wandering in the desert for so long oh I'm leaving it in Luke I'm leaving it in no but I'm just saying really that comp they didn't have their own cars they all probably had rental cars and they probably lived in hotels as well yeah really nice hotels yeah really I don't think so anyway I think I've got a bit of a feeling for it now so yeah that's fair um yes so nothing is my own my desk is an ironing board folks okay before we go on there was there was a driveway incident yeah it's a longest story I think that could be an Afterparty story okay then so that could be a tease all

right this one is far more dramatic than the other driveway story but it has less of a supernatural element to it but it does have a gay subplot I'll say that oo you should like you should sell the screenplay they love that or write the screenplay yeah might yeah might be a good play it would be a great play it would be an exent mhm um so you'll watching blue I've been watching a bit of uh I've been watching a bit of SES I saw ilo's Dad this morning and it freaked me out ilmo has a dad yeah I've seeno D he's got a mom too funnily enough yeah I've seen both of them that's right cuz almost like six years old is he he's four four four he's old he's an old monster him

and uh Abby kadabi are four years old what what do you call Abby Matt I call him Abby her I call her Abby kabby now because I know that's her name but when lra had a book I'd never seen I haven't seen Sesame Street since I was a kid and these characters she's definitely a new character yeah she didn't exist back then and so yeah L had this book we were going through and she was pointing at the people in this on this page it was like meet Elmo's friends it's a book about Elmo And I named you know Bert Ernie Big Bird Oscar the Grouch Grover and then she pointed at Abby and I was like I don't know lulio lulio I was trying to think of it I couldn't remember the word corn Holio but that was that was from Beaverson but head but now I know

cuz I feel like it's going to be confusing if I you know right in hearing that snuff alus is back oh he's back yeah he's just real he's not a regular character he's back but just he's real now yeah yeah I mean Snuffy's not in it very much uh Big Bird's not in it very much BT and Ernie are occasionally in it but you never see them at home in their own home right where they're just friends just friends yeah just friends it's it's pretty much that Elmo and and Abby show plus Cookie Monster now runs a food truck Luke um called Monster Foodies with this little cuz he's he's also about healthy food now isn't he correct so um he still all about the cookies but he's got this he's got this little offsider called gonga who's the actually the brains behind the the food

truck um and each week they need to make something and Cookie Monster has either eaten or misused or misplaced one in one key ingredient and G always has a little bit of a a meltdown and there was one the other day that I was watching where gonga actually starts banging his head on the table and yelling why does this keep happening to me which I thought was quite good but and is elbow still freaking out about the rock yeah yeah Elmo pet rock Elmo doesn't understand why the rock gets the biscuit you don't get over that kind of thing Luke I did see the episode we I mostly watch them on YouTube I don't know Actually I don't even know where she would they're on they're on Netflix on Netflix oh okay I didn't know

that um um but I saw that episode where they were talking about who had the best pet until he has his rat I think right a rat or rabbit or something anyway who the [ __ ] thought we'd be talking about Sesame Street I know right but here's the thing so I was I was on YouTube myself the other day and uh I came up the one episode of Sesame State you will never see and I was very curious so I watched it there was one episode from the late 70s that was banned right um and it was because they started when was it banned it was banned iMed was bed in the 7s it was banned the day after they played it it was taken out of syndication was never rerun was never played again I know that like a when they when they air like they they re-released the old episodes and they

had to give like an M rating because some of the stuff where kids like running around like construction parks and construction areas and stuff like that go you can't do that anymore well evidently the aim of Sesame Street was because a lot of kids specifically black and Latino kids living in New York City weren't going to school so the they made Sesame Street to educate those kids in a way that they would relate to so that's why it's on the street that's why they're just hanging out in doorways and stuff because that's what the kids were doing at that time yeah um so that that makes sense I always I mean I I I probably just cuz it's nostalgic from when I was a kid but I just love the vibe of it in general you're right feels the streets of New York but obviously

that's not New York's like New York's [ __ ] but yeah you can't smell the garbage when you're watching Sesame Street unless you're at Oscar's house yeah that's right um the they in the 70s they started getting the celebrity guests did you guys happen to watch that clip I sent you of James L Jones stoically saying the alphabet I did that was weird it like there's no magic to it at all it's just James L Jones staring into the camera and in one long uncut take saying a b and that's it C like all the way through I didn't get to the end but cuz I thought it was getting a bit you

already knew what was going creeping the [ __ ] out of you awful awful but that's not the one they cut the one they cut was when they they got Margaret Hamilton to guest star and she's famous for playing the Wicked Witch of the West in the original Wizard of Oz right okay okay sure so they thought look heaps of people have seen the wizard of O it's a 40y old movie but people still watch it every time it comes on TV she's such a colorful character with the green skin and everything she'd fit right in on Sesame Street right sure so she plays the witch and the witch comes to Sesame Street um makes a bunch of threats shows that she can back up the threats by demonstrating her evil magic powers and um in the end they get rid of her but only temporarily

and apparently there was a record number of complaints of people saying there is a genuine threat in Sesame Street now oh like at no point in any other episode are the kids in danger except now they they are because the witch has actual black magic powers that she's proven she can use to kill them yes and in the end um she leaves but there's always the threat that she might come back come back so apparently there was this yeah generation of kids that were terrified of watching Sesame Street again and all these parents are like what am I going to do with my kid between 3:00 and 3:30 in the afternoon now that they won't watch Sesame Street anymore in case a witch comes back well I'm going to say this it did did meet

the producers goal educational goal at the time which was to to demonstrate fear to Young viewers Jesus it work yes evidently it did there you go I um I learned that there I was watching now like I said YouTube mon what you call them like edits of the best moments of various things and then this uh make sure you skip that episode the guy Bob shows up right and I was like I remember that guy so I looked up and apparently this guy was in Sesame Street from the beginning until fairly recently and then they announced he's like 90 something they said he's not going to be in it anymore it's like fair enough uh like one of the humans is he like one of the guys who owns one of you probably recognize him if you you saw

him Bob he plays Bob that's not his real name but he plays the character Bob but anyway I was on the guy's Wikipedia page just because I was like trying to figure out who he was and then I read just in the sub summary at the top it said he um listed his two favorite moments on Sesame Street one was some Christmas episode that had a thing he liked in it and the other one was that and I vaguely remember I don't know whether I saw this or I just knew that this was a thing the actor who played Mr Hooper died in like the 8S and they did an episode where Mr Ho explain to Big Bird what he was dead yeah MH and I was like [ __ ] I remember that I don't remember that from being a

kid but I think I think somebody showed vot it to me like I that might I justly early internet days remember that's a thing yeah yeah of favorite things that they did cuz I think they did it in in such a way where they they didn't hold back and they they literally told Big Bird what dead was and um without mentioning heaven or anything like that they were just like he's he's dead but in a way that is like probably the perfect model to explain to a child what you see that popping up and every now and again oh there's a blue episode where they find a Budgy who doesn't who injured who does not make it and I was like oh yeah it's a tough subject I give them credit for tackling that [ __ ] hell cuz you got to worry like what what are

people going to think someone's going to have they but they just tackled her head on and went Yep this is what happened this is it he's [ __ ] dead get over it all right man yeah he killed himself time move on go talk to your imaginary him with a belt around his neck TI to the door hob and his [ __ ] in his hand okay he's dead yeah yes it yes it was a picture of you he was joking off to at the time Jesus big why do you want to know these things yeah none of your business I shouldn't have told you that I shouldn't have told this should have just been going on Fair ever I know they run a lot of stuff in his wheel though he's left you started in 1969 yeah yeah I think I always kind of assumed it was a product of my own

generation and that it would came from the I think all kids probably think the same thing that it was but like it's just kids watching it so they can just doing the same [ __ ] exactly like exactly yeah I don't mean that a dis I just mean no but like that's the thing but like no but it's fresh yeah sure yeah I know what you mean I've watched like I said even the new ones we can talk about here we go before we no before we go on I want you to guess how many episodes there are oh I think I know that there's 4,000 odd bit lower you yeah you you're both way off wait no no no it says 4,000 start of the episode yeah yeah exactly it tells you what what number they're up to it's episodes 2,651 not according to start of the show they're lying to you let's find that out

that way yeah oh snuck it in all right all right let's move away from shows that we've just spoken about for half an hour okay can we talk about something that that that I thought was aimed at kids when I was a kid but I'm not really sure and that's Batman Returns I'm still not quite sure what the target audience for that is me I think I don't think any of them were aimed for kids yeah Matt at any age I love that movie I don't think that they were aimed at kids I think kids watched them I think there were happy meals based on the movie which there's always been that I think it's been from that mixed message from that perspective from that movie I mean I saw it at the movies and I was eight and I [ __ ] loved it so the first one Batman movie and and

Batman Returns was what 89 you would have been 12 I remember no no no Batman 1 was 89 Batman Returns was 92 okay I remember going to see Batman and we remember when pen of panthers used to have like the screenings yeah there so I went and sort a lot of people there were fames and people were getting up and taking their kids out of that movie I remember my dad made mistake had a dis fondness of that film yeah especially you know when penguin bites that guy's nose and things like that I think my my dad was not expecting there to be things in that movie that he took his entire family to sure I I think it's one of those things a lot of people even back then always thought that the these comics and everything were for kids and stuff but even back that that stage Batman weren't

they were for towards kids at a definitely in the Silver age Comics they for sure skewed towards kids because I real they think they realized a lot of kids were buying them but they'll skew Batman towards whoever's paying them the most money whoever yes but even though like my friend's um kid was got in trouble at daycare because he hit a kid and cuz they were playing superheroes and but actually with like Hulk bash never seen the show like but still that yeah yeah so it always happen but like the Joker The Joker is not for kids no yeah but [ __ ] was my favorite when I was a kid mhm yeah the Joker is a terrifying character mhm and the comics did get get quite violent because he the The Joker murders Robin like like literally murders Ro [ __ ]

Batgirl yeah that's right yeah so J murders a lot of [ __ ] people they did get they did swing back and forth between kid stuff and quite intense violent stuff yeah and you have the Batman cartoons like you got the Batman cartoons which are definitely well some of them were directed at kids yeah like the animated series one but then there are other animated ones which are no like the Harley Quin the new Harley quinnn one is not for kids well Harley Quinn debuted in Batman the anime series she wasn't a comic character until then oh right there you go [ __ ] there was a great comic in the New Yorker recently you know they do those single cell Comics it's just a picture with a caption so it was a it was a Hollywood boardroom with um a whole lot

of Executives sitting around this big table and one of them is going okay hear me out Batman again which I thought was funny y I mean I got to say I didn't hate the new Batman as much as everyone else seemed to so I didn't hate it I just thought it was a boring movie and I I loved Paton I loved the design of the film loved everything about it I just didn't think I watched it on a plane Jenna hasn't seen it and some for some reason it came up and I said oh yeah Paul Dano plays Riddler and she was like what I love Paul Dano and I was like yeah that's quite a good movie and I was like what are there a couple things I and I was like oh you know what it's got an extra hour on the end that it doesn't need that's what wrend that's what was

wrong with it they caught the Riddler and then there was more movie yeah they don't know they don't know when to stop with Batman movies these days yeah also they didn't double down on things there was this great bit where cuz the question about Batman is always why is anyone fooled when Bruce Wayne shows up in a mask Matt if you showed up in a mask I wouldn't go pleased to meet you I'm Dan I'd be like Matt are you in a mask like that that's the thing that no one's been able to explain you also get out of here yeah he also changes his voice so fair fair but in this and he puts on makeup start of the movie started they started hinting and I definitely know if it was you in makeup that's either of you but at the start of the movie they

started hinting that no one knows what Bruce Wayne looks like he's a recluse he's sitting up there in his big [ __ ] Tower and he never comes out and I'm like that is a great way he's this reclusive um Howard Hawkes billionaire and nobody knows what he looks like like so but then he just shows up and everyone's like look it's Bruce Wayne it's like okay well you ruined it cuz you had something real good going there yeah I forget look I I enjoyed it like that he was it was creepy yeah like it was really when was talking he did detective stuff like you know in the game I don't know that's one thing some of the some of the detective stuff was get back can you go do this there was that PL because and you me to notice

this more because you you told me beforehand the thing about the the bird you are El yeah yeah but then I was even more confused because I was like oh I know what's going to happen it's going to be Falcone he's going to get it wrong but then later on it like they refer back to the the what they got wrong and it's relevant like did you ever find like hang on was a mistake was yeah that's right like so what they need to do what it should have been it's it should have been like the 60s Batman where Batman just goes off and goes it must be this and goes on this convoluted line and gets to the end very quickly should have that and then he he calls up and he goes I'll just put punch that into the back computer and like hits a couple buttons and then the

back rers at the bank oh there we go yeah that's right yeah yeah but I do love I do love that when um and I think they do it in the movie as well the 66 movie where there'll be a Riddler clue so obscure and Batman will just [ __ ] know and he'll be like I know this particular guy is being captive at this yeah at this exact Museum yeah so good yeah um but Danny Deo best penguin right surely I think so yeah I think so yeah has to be I mean Colin Farrell was good but it was a different kind of penguin and the tone of the Burton ones is my favorite so I yeah I do think the Vito was was better I look for Fun and Denny devitos was fun I like as a kid he he

does and he's come out and and and said that very thing this week but see good on Danny I like Danny I like Danny D A lot he's [ __ ] hilarious uh but the thing is and he probably knows this I'm sure he's just doing this to be funny it's not they weren't the same character so it's not relevant there's no better right they not it was not the same character no not at all they were and Colin Farrell's penguin were not the same character not the same person I mean Colin Fang's Colin fuin Colin Farrell's penguin was barely a penguin at all yeah I would say right whereas was a deformed child who was thrown into the sewer as a baby and raised by Penguins it's not the same i' forgotten that that was the story I'm going to watch this movie and

his wife throw him off a bridge into the into the lake in the middle of the park like it's [ __ ] ridiculous yes the music makes it fine what's that yeah it's he's in a pram like a big old timey pram yeah they rip the top of the pram and and he floats down the river in the in the little pram well the Danny Elfman score plays and he goes through the sewers yeah because Tim Burton didn't think Batman 89 was Tim bertony enough so he [ __ ] doubled down well they said the studio said that was a success you can do whatever you want and he was like I will and the studio like we shouldn't have said that yeah and number three will be done by somebody else yeah sorry I I do I do like that what he does say in the interview as well he says like it was in his in his opinion which

of course he's going to think that and I think he's right but what why isn't he allowed to think that no he is proud of his work I mean I think he knew it was going to be a a kind of a thing when he said it like he must have MH yeah he stiring the pot yeah I learned about something this week called the Danny deito rule have you heard about this no no so there's this thing online called the Danny DeVito rule because have you guys noticed this phenomenon about women wanting or enjoying a certain amount of aggression from men that only seems to apply to really hot men okay sure for example um 50 Shades of gray right oh sure okay yeah this guy is a rapist but because he's

hot and Rich it's not rape it's just just naughty aggress yeah naughty aggressiveness um but there's this thing that the internet has come up with to combat this phenomenon called the Danny DeVito rule which is if you swapped out the actor in that film for Danny DeVito would it still be hot yeah or would it be sad that it's a bit sad that that's what he's related to like it's but it's not because he's grotesque or anything I just think I mean you could Al you could say it about any he Le into that though he there's no way know that he's like he leans into it and every nude to spoon and he's like he's

filthy yeah on purpose I'm not having to go at him yeah yeah yeah that's right he [ __ ] dials it up that episode where he's just he's drinking all the beers and just burping while he's talking and if you watch the behind the scenes even um Rob mine just can't get through the scene because Danny Devo is just being so disgusting because he's vomiting and he spitting deer everywhere and Rob's just like oh go God no one can be disgusting like DeVito and I I realized that as a kid when I watched Batman Returns and saw him eat that fish I was just like this is disgusting mhm and when he takes off his clothes and just see him in that kind of like old timey underwear onesie yeah and he's all around yeah completely around okay I'm going to go back I'm going to

go back I'll give it another chance I haven't seen it since the '90s it's good movie that's that's a while it's best best looking Michelle Fifer has ever been man best looking anyone's ever been it's got buddy um I kind think of his Christopher Watkins in yeah Max Shrek Bruce Wayne why are you dressed as Batman I love that video at the end that's what I'm talking about right so good he is Batman you idiot who says that Catwoman oh that was your that was your Michelle Fifer voice well she does she do like a very he is Batman you idiot she's like a very yeah I still love and I know we've

talked about this on the podcast before but in Batman 89 Bruce Wayne brings home Vicky Vil yes gets her completely drunk doesn't drink himself which you know is a classic date rap move right [ __ ] her asks her to leave she says can I see you again he says absolutely not I'm very busy Alfred comes in and says will you be seeing her again she was nice and he said I absolutely will not you knew what this was too why are you giv me this [ __ ] as well she starts you gave it a drink she starts Googling him or the 80s equivalent of Googling which is micro fishing him and then starts stalking him starts visiting [ __ ] the parents' grave and all of this stuff then convinces Alfred to let her into the back cave he's looking at Alfred while she's there going the [ __ ] this was a CH

I banged one time and made it abundantly clear I did not want to go back for round two that's a very good point Point there's she's not the love interest there you could not argue that she's a love they got rid of her real quick and in the second one she says like Selena Kyle Catwoman asks him did you have anybody he's like oh yeah didn't work out yeah yeah I banged someone once if that's what you mean then my butler wouldn't let kept letting her into the [ __ ] house I've still got the restraining order in place yeah not the is it restraining order yet let's jump into some Star Wars news St new stars news Stars news I want to go to Star yeah let's go to Star Wars news I'm I'm excited that Ryan Johnson still thinks he's getting a

Star Wars Trilogy yes even though no one else is talking about it but he just brings it up every now and again he came out this week and he said he's now looking back even more proud of The Last Jedi which is fine a lot of people like that no but I love that I started to think at certain point that it wasn't very good but now I do think no it was good no it was the reason you thought it was the reason you thought it was not very good is cuz we all told you it wasn't any good yeah like I convinced myself for a long time that episode one was good cuz I wanted it to be good well he's yeah he says he's still working on them they're still happening it's just a scheduling issue so yeah Disney them

yeah I keep asking when when that when we can start working on it and start filming and they just keep ignoring my call it's issue I me I've called and called and called but they just can't seem to they will not put a meeting in my schedule yeah yeah there is no way he can get a Trilogy is there it's not possible I think it would be very there's no there's no way they would commission a Trilogy from any one person at this point their track record with directors is woeful and not only that which I still think is part of the problem with the part of the problem with that equal Trilogy is to me was the fact that they got different people working on it throughout they didn't let Ryan Johnson direct an episode of Mandalorian they're not going to give him a Trilogy well

actually even um John boa came out this week and said that um someone asked him about did he read the leaked see the leaked stuff from Colin Trevor o you know episode 9 and he said no he said I'll just cry have I looked at it because he said he sat down with him they had a really good talk about what that movie might actually had a role in it yeah and he said that it just broke his heart that that movie didn't exist and so he just he said no I stay away from that stuff it's too upsetting and he said that um which just sad JJ set up a bunch of stuff he had he had something he wanted to do and then he said but because you know the one the story in the middle didn't fit with any of that so it all kind of got lost so he didn't really say you know didn't [ __ ] on the

movie very much but he still seems no but I mean it it is so clear that that's what happened because JJ made a pretty decent film in the force awakens Ryan Johnson killed the past and upset that whole apple cart and instead of making a sequel to that that was any good they had to go back and Ron that and make a Bad sequel to the first one so it's it's just nothing I'll never watch it again I I have no interest in watching rise of Skywalker a second time I think yeah I haven't seen that whereas remember like force awakens how many times have we go and see that in the movies I thought it was good I know it's a copy of the first one which is probably why I like it but whatever whatever it was good but like I think no matter how confident they are with Ryan Johnson if they're

like we know that the the fan base was divided but we feel it was a very good movie I still don't think they're silly enough they know how everybody reacted if they come out and they go no you know what [ __ ] you Ryan Johnson's getting three movies they know what's going to happen I don't I can't see him doing it think he's good yeah but yeah cuz the backlash would be huge I just think it's not good publicity for like if they do do it can you just come up with the idea for all three moves and that story arc at once you what hand it over and then not yet have one and then okay now we're going to start writing the second one and like no you should already know what's happening you don't even have to have the full script just at least the [ __ ] outline thing yeah they the

original trilogy like Luke does claim that George does claim he had everything mapped out I call [ __ ] on that but anyway but they didn't write the Second Empire Shrek back until Star Wars was done because no one knew that it was going to be a hit and they didn't even know Harrison Ford would be in it yeah but with this when they were going in they knew these people were signing off for three movies they knew there was a Trilogy why not prepare for that instead of just all right now you can write yours and do whatever you want and the reason Han gets frozen in carbonite is cuz they didn't know if he would do the third one mhm Harrison for was like I don't know how about this well freeze you and then if you want to do it fine if not Han's gone if not we

kill you you be in the back we never found you yeah yeah you yeah yeah could Han survived if he don't he didn't survive cuz and that's sort of why you they sort of Han gets rued in like the opening act yeah cuz they want we want him in the movie as much as possible but I want to be back as soon as possible in that movie I want all the screen I think yeah yeah if I'm going to be in it and also I want to wear a trench coat cuz I wore one in Blade Runner it looked [ __ ] cool also I am going to bang har Fisher a lot just so you know yeah I me Princess L and he's like I mean car Fisher you heard you heard what I said no I think I think he'd stopped banging her by that stage I imagine she's someone that you'd get over pretty quick do you mean get over or get over

other day called something along the lines of this is why Star Wars movies never got any better than Empire Strikes Back and it was because um it was uh irin Kushner saying that the script for the last scene between Han and Leia was supposed to be I love you I love you too right and then together um k and and H hner and Harrison decided that's not right we don't know what it is and they they apparently they they tried out a couple of things and and the one that worked the best they stuck with and it's iconic obviously and it's iconic because it sums up his character and their relationship so perfectly right yes but evidently Lucas was like that's not the line he's

supposed to say I love you too it's a romance George there's a reason why you're not writing and directing these anymore and he was like show well maybe I'll come back and do one and then you'll see oh yeah yeah you'll see what a real romance is Misa wrote A Star Wars movie yeah hey I've just murdered an entire like tribe killed the family the children everything do you want to marry me yeah sure this sucks I hate you you're a dumb Jedi Master hey hey that line I hate you is the only line we feeling in the entire Trilogy and I he was looking directly at George I hate you burning to death a good trick and George Lucas is like well sorry Hayden I've Got The High

Ground hey I watched something this week I wanted to mention it just by did you guys watch Lock and Key I'm talking about lock and key I never did no season one that was the one where Keys open covers or something no that's real life that's real life that's just normal stuff no the keys do these keys do magical things okay season one and two were very good lock and key was written by Joe Hill was a comic series we as discussed the other week Joe Hill is Stephen King's son he wrote the lock and key Comics no one knew who he was he used the pseudonym because that's what he wanted he didn't want to be Stephen King son they got quite successful and then they people were like that's stepen I still think he should have he should have taken bman as the last name yeah B

too obvious not at all well maybe not at first but anyway so anyway season one and two very good in my opinion season 3 just came out very quickly I didn't even know it was coming out at season two only came out last year I feel like season 3 came out uh it's garbage so oh oh that's a shame did they maybe just rush it I I can't imagine they didn't cuz it just kind of pointless didn't oh yeah that's uh oh it's disappointing yeah it's sort of what makes it more disappointing is there are shows out there that don't get to have like those extra Seasons when they're actually quite good and then for this to actually get the season then just they phone it in and it's bit [ __ ] yeah yeah I'm surprised by it too cuz I even saw some

like it said you know written by Joe Hill as well and I was like really he wrote this just seems so it was just very pointless it's like why do we need that and then it's the final season too it wrapped everything up but it didn't wrap anything up it just created a bunch of extra [ __ ] to wrap up it's very strange that will never be wrapped up now well I know it got wrapped up but it just didn't need to be there in the first place it's just they just you know like I don't want to spoiling because like the first two season are quite good but it it like brings back bad guys to get rid of him again it's like what you doing I see yeah right I don't know didn't I might pass on that then I've got too many other shows I should watch yeah I've got a long list too I keep

watching it's very creative it's very interesting like the keys the way the keys work you know each key does a different thing like one of them if you use the key in a to unlock a closet as Luke suggested you can just have it open to anywhere you want to go right that's how one of the keys work that's the dream one of the keys if you Natalie Portman's bathroom oh no I was just thinking about going on holidays and instead of going on like a 30-hour flight to somewhere I just go there one of the keys put it in your in your little shoulder here and you turn the key you go to sleep and then you appear outside your body with everyone else who's there and then you there'll be like a little doorway that kind of fits your personality and you go inside your mind whoa wow how do they

show that in a show so anytime someone uses it you'll see that they'll use the key and then the person will go H and like flop down like a mannequin and then you'll just see a wide shot and they're standing there next to their mannequin body and then like a like a kind of freestanding door decorated in a way that you know like for example there's a guy in this season who's kind of a theater guy and it's this kind of big curtain door with the masks above it and stuff why do why do I want to go into my mind well you can go and look at your memories and you can o you can hide things in there you could take something from hide it in there yeah this show is not for me this show is is very creative and interesting until season 3 and which and when it's like just yeah I don't

know just lost I'm actually I'm actually going to try and give rings of power a go now Luke you're not necessarily the biggest Lord of the Rings fan I find Lord of the Rings very boring Luke are you being bullied into watching this by anybody I've been told I have to watch the first 10 minutes and then give feedback okay so that's funny because uh I watched the first 10 minutes I wasn't bullied I wanted to watch it um because I like talkling and wanted this to be good I loved Lord of the Rings I hated The Hobbit because they didn't do it properly and I thought if they do this properly I'm all in and if they don't I'm not going to watch it um so I put it on yesterday evening just just to I didn't have time to watch a whole episode I just wanted to see the

tone I just wanted to know if they [ __ ] it or not and they didn't [ __ ] it all right it's pretty good is it all out or is this a week to we thing I we'll find out for you right now I don't know actually okay cuz this is on Amazon Prime yes yeah and I was like oh maybe they always up but then no I think the expanse was week to we and that was also on Amazon Prime yeah I think I have a feeling this will be a week to we one um I think this is actually new episodes every Friday okay I think this is actually slightly more in tune with what hkin would actually want to see of an adaption of of his work than the um Peter Jackson version Oh even

Lord of the Rings yeah because in hindsight and I love Lord of the Rings a lot I find them difficult to watch now because they're so Peter Jackson sure you know it's not to the Rings it's Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings which I'm starting to think like Tolen the books were long but the story wasn't actually long the the reason why the books long is he went into a lot of detail about things which you don't need that doesn't need to necessarily translate into a long movie your show you can see those dets story yeah exactly right exactly right so you don't need to yeah so hopefully this because it's not this is what I'm going to give go because it's not based off the books cuz this is its own story isn't it this is well it's it's based on some mythology that he

came up with for what happened years before but and hopefully with it being a television show they'll just sort of be trying to move it along a bit faster and not have to just watch people walk for half an hour yeah so I think the thing that everybody was concerned about was that this was coming out at the same time as the new Game of Thrones um Game of Thrones even counted this by on the day that this dropped they released their first episode for free in its entirety on YouTube so they they're coming out I think Game of Thrones are worried because well here's the thing right this is nothing like Game of Thrones right I'm not going to say any dicks or there's definitely not any dicks and this this is high fantasy you know what I mean like this is this is

high fantasy there's particles in the air so that you know this is a magical place you know this is not politics in a pseudo historic gretty and dark and definitely I mean it's pretty dark and it's no but it's different yeah steak it's definitely different but in a way that is to me it it's more like an 80s fantasy movie sure where there's an adventure there's characters that you want to see they're speaking crazy dialogue but they're saying it so truthfully that you just go along with it you know it's it's it doesn't look like just a bunch of actors in Cosplay oh I just found something Nifty go one so cuz I went on to see like how many like the episodes when they come out they've actually Prime I don't I've never seen them do this they've got like

I can look and see who the characters are and they'll explain who they are wait you've never seen that there's a list of the L's no it's got like the L's and then it's got all the characters and I click on them and it'll give me a little little blur about who they are it's called X-ray and they've had that for many many years on Amazon it's I've never seen them before that's great literally you can be watching anything and you can hit pause and it'll have the people in that scene you go who's that actor hit pause it'll [ __ ] tell you oh no no this is telling me who the characters are which sometimes that's a good thing like you be watching go who who's this character again and now I can see Game of Thrones this is great this is a game changer for me yeah it's one

of the best I forget people all the time no it's great it's a great feature it's called x-ray it's funny I was in I was in the car with the other day um AKA The Bully who's making Luke watch the first 10 minutes and report back to her um cuz she was I'll do as I'm told she was asking what the backstory to the Rings was and I told her and of course I went into way too much detail and and you know 20 minutes to explain yeah but she let me talk bless her and then when I'd finish she went interesting I mean not to me but to someone who likes it that would be quite interesting nice very diplomatic yeah that's right yeah the reason why I'm I'm not a big fantasy person that's why it's dragons and magic and that doesn't do anything for me the closest I get

Queens Kings no Queen don't watch shows with kings and queens that's what yeah like Game of Thrones did nothing for me well he would have hated the crown on Netflix yeah was all about kings and queens but look I'll try I I give it a try Matt I think you should give it a try too if you were worried that this was just going to be Zena Warrior Princess it isn't I've watched Xena War the princess again Watch reboot that yes it's ter was terrible then and it's terrible now yeah it's no different I got to watch shehulk as well I don't want to but I've got to I tried I tried I'm enjoying it still I've about three episodes in can you remember okay so I I got 15 minutes into one episode and if there was just one or two things

I didn't like about it I would have pushed on but I didn't like anything about it like can you think of another Marvel movie or show where the character just talks straight to the audience through the camera that's not Marvel Marvel yeah it is not Marvel Studios it's Marvel no they th Marvel at the start okay okay but no no without without techn can you think but it is Canon that she does that in the comic books I don't care it's awful it's awful Matt in the first scene she talks to the camera and in like a way that I think she thinks is really cute goes yep I'm a Hulk and here's how I became one and then it cuts to like a flashback and it's like with that it's not that's awful they do that but it's not a constant thing it's not

every five minutes she's not talking to the [Music] camera but I'm enjoying it you'll never stop me enjoying it I don't think he's trying to I think he's trying to stop me no I definitely if you enjoy it Matt power to you I just don't know that you will and I'm trying to say it is Ali mcbill it's Ali mc mc mc but not not as good because it's like trying to be tongue-in-cheek Ali mcel but Ali mcel was already trying to be tongue-in cheek like Law Firm show it's like a parody of a parody it doesn't work for me it doesn't work at all for me see what Matt thinks yeah I'll try what I'll do is at last Jenner if she gives a [ __ ] if she wants to watch it and then if if not I'll watch it myself this weekend if if she does I'll try and

commin her to watch it during the week I do want to give the Sandman a watch too at some point that's that's the next thing that's on on our list s now that we've got lock and key done man's next so I'll say one thing real quickly I'll just give a quick review to something I'll just check the time oh okay we should probably we should probably wrap this do a quick review You've teased it do it and then we'll go to after party I watched a movie uh the other night that somebody recommended and then I I thought to myself I think I've already downloaded that and I checked my downloads folder and I had downloaded this so at some point in the past I'd also decided that I wanted to watch Frailty from 2001 um I've heard of

this STS this is a Thriller I guess you'd call it it stars Matthew mccon and Bill Paxton right and I watched this because I watched Predator 2 last week and got nostalgic for Bill Paxton but what I didn't know until I put this on is that Paxton also directed this and it was because he read the script as an actor would read a script to decide if they're going to do it and he said I have to tell this story as well you'll recognize the cover you'll recognize this DVD cover for sure fry 2001 um very good movie there's one thing that I I broke my own rule I should should never have done this don't Google a movie while it's on sure and I you just watch it I no I I

wanted to know who an actor was I thought what's this guy from and I I just went to IMDb and I just looked at the cast list and just in in in in in just very bad okay well turn it off then click out of that page because the the cast list was a spoiler and I suddenly as soon as I realized what I had spoiled and it wouldn't it won't be for you cuz you haven't started to watch it but I was halfway through this movie and then I saw something in in the cast list that tipped me off to what would happen later and I was like oh I really wish I hadn't watched that um even with that very enjoyable um great tone one of those kind of late '90s early 2000s Thrillers where they are just not afraid to use the blue light and the smoke machine to

make it a bit creepy you know yeah only you had been in Prime and you could have used X-ray yes yeah well I should some Elves while you were watching that's right um yeah Bill Paxton plays a just a normal run-ofthe-mill dad with a couple of kids at home home who one day God visits him in a dream and tells him that he that some people are demons and he has to start just killing them oh so he does sound pretty interesting I want to watch now that you've mentioned bill I want to watch near dark just start him and my friend Lance yes I may have downloaded that as well yeah I think I've got that in the same downloads folder yeah bunch of hobo vampires live in a

van good movie Vasquez from uh aliens who's also oh yeah John Connor's stepmom in Terminator 2 she's in it as well oh yeah she is looking absolutely nothing like herself from alens now that I think about it of course it is wow Cameron does like reusing yeah drugs go with the people you know he he likes [ __ ] using people he used Bill Paxton he used him Linda Hamilton well no I think it's the thing if you bring on the people you have known you work with before you probably end up paying them less well they if you at this point I'd pay James Cameron to put me in a James
