extrapolate because he came to my house on his first night out and drank eight seven um so I got I probably would have had eight so I drank four that I purchased and I stole one of yours or two of yours so okay that doesn't make eight but they were doubles so I think you've had too many already so if we assume that's your nightly quota yeah so what case 24 I mean I'd say I mean the actual answer is one at most oh I think that's the real answer oh that would be a reasonable oh okay I've done four but I've not been drunk I don't want to I mean not been so let's be that let's make that funny I don't also want to to encourage you to do that so you

great he does stuff with Angry Video nerd too like he's he's just like [ __ ] put me in your internet YouTube seems cool yeah he played he sat and played home alone for the Nintendo with angry video game that's great oh I remember that game that game was hard yeah that's why he's like there's only one person that can help me get through this I did I never played the Nintendo one I played the sea Mega Drive one well knowing they were completely different games oh yes even they may been released on the same day but completely different games imagine if they did that now like you they said oh actually we decided Starfield will not be an XBox exclusive here's the PlayStation version It's just something else yeah completely different developer

we just gave them the title Starfield and said go for it yeah now I do have to ask did anyone get any weird presents for Christmas I got quite a bit of Lego actually which is unusual for me because I just it's been years since but it just was the year of Lego I got three different Legos okay awesome I got some Legos I've got a tie bomber oh together I got I got a one Star Wars one I got a Trier in a mech suit which whilst not canon was still cool I've seen they are I also got a Ferrari to build and also Scrooge McDuck an actual Ferrari Scrooge McDuck yeah I got an actual Ferrari if I wanted if I was the size of a mini fig ask

it's we'll find out right now is 355 because that's what I want well no it's the uh the 812 competi oh cool pretty nice I mean honestly I'd take any Ferrari if if there's a listener out there who got me one for Christmas and was like oh I didn't get him the f355 no no no it's fine I'll take yeah yeah yeah oh yeah it's the F40 oh I'll take it back I'll sore off this enormous wing on the back I F40 that's the worst the worst of them all that's the what I want no yeah I mean it's a classic look I saw I think it was um I can't remember

what it was but it was navy blue with like a beige interior and I was like [ __ ] every other color now I want a blue one it was so nice is it you only do get a choice of the Colors oh yeah can't get like you can't change it they do have this thing called Ferrari labs and you can change almost anything but it costs millions of dollars yeah but when you buy a Ferrari you can't then go paint it and rock up at a car meat and go it's now purple poka dot you be ostracized from the community you may even be sued I think you signed something that says that you won't customize it they want you to keep them stock because there is I follow a lot of YouTubers who restore old ones and they paint them obviously but I guess that's yeah but they're not going to come after you for

that but also if you're just an a nvo re you can't go into a Ferrari dealership and buy the newest Ferrari they say get a second MRE drive that for a year come back get an F40 drive that for 2 years then come back and we might sell you a new one is my end goal yeah you can get that right nowas now go ahead the reason why I brought up weird gift is because Hannah got me something okay okay so you know how I love Robotech yeah she managed to find me a robot tech toy and it is Rick Hunter it is Rick Hunter along with his 2020 Toyota Supra that is amazing that's amazing I actually am very fond of the Supra but yeah why is Rick with a toy little brother the gr86 but I can see why if

Rick Hunter was going to drive a Japanese sports car it would definitely be the Supra of course it would but I don't in Australia that iware of su common in Australia oh they're not super common because they're [ __ ] expensive but um yeah yeah the 2023 Supra was beautiful but you know what it was Auto only they didn't release it as a manual and it's like the people who are buying Supras want a [ __ ] sh sh shff shff that's what Sean con would have called it after L did she get that from the Internet or did she find I think she got that from the internet okay cool that's pretty that's pretty neat maybe in Brisbane where she is now she is back now she got back yesterday okay okay did you get her something equally as weird I'm very curious now to

find out well no I didn't get weird I got a pixel Ear Pod pods Pro things uh Bal Gate 3 and we went ax throwing oh how was that I'm surprisingly good at ax throwing I quite surprised ask her what she thinks I think she will agree cuz Luke claims to be surprisingly good at a lot of things so I like that his surprise though because when I try new things I just assume I'm going to be good at it till I found out that I'm not like when I went yeah I was going G shooting the one and only time well I I just assumed I'd be a great shot because I've been playing video games and watching movies with guns my whole [ __ ] life I am awful awful at it oh really I was surprisingly good at that as

well I was very good at um laser Cay pigeon shooting at Panthers oh sure we School spot a school SP term and to the point where the lady thought I was cheating yeah and easy to cheat yeah but like I was like well how would I even cheat I don't I'm just Sho you would shoot the ones on the ground I guess no no no the cheating was in the front of it there was a blue tarp and if you shot the blue tarp that would register as a hit okay well I wasn't doing that I was sophisticated technology yeah that one I was surprisingly good at cheating at it's because it's got nothing it's just I just played a lot of Time Crisis probably that's what it is see Time Crisis I was quite good at but see that's the problem if I was say I join the military now right in Time Crisis

you reload if you recall by shooting off to the side yes right so I'd be like running in oh [ __ ] I'm out really fire fire no also bullets don't just keep going in a straight line forever like lasers in these guns do or infrared whatever I used to play that the sniper game which that used to have drop in it allow for it that's cool oh that's interesting I remember that I Us in postal you know when you could get the sniper rifle in postal it would you just sit up there picking people off on the street that was that was really and then piss on them yeah and then rape them with rusty scissors if you recall that was also possible I think that's in

the there were two versions of that game one that we had in Australia and one that we weren't supposed to have in Australia but we did yeah yeah and that wasn't in it that wasn't in that version that was in the version I played the pissing was speaking of speaking of things being removed from things uh okay just follow me down this did anyone get you anything weird for Christmas M no no no this is It's just reminded me of something I've got in here I thought it' be a good segue apparently not so uh the abyss yes oh yes I saw this yes uh is coming out exciting stuff love uh 4K re-release right coming coming soon yeah and this one uh not mangled by AI filters that apparently he's been doing

recently he's been in that and ruining his movies so yeah not interested in that thanks but the um the abyss 4K release is not being released in the UK anymore because right I learned this and I thought this is interesting and this kind of goes down a bit of a rabbit hole or Rat Hole so to speak MH because it has a scene in it if you recall listen this with a mouse if you've seen the the rat where they're talking about how he you know they have that fluid it's oxygenated fluid that you can breathe yeah and demo they put a rat in it and they actually did it and they actually did they had oxygenated fluid and they put a rat in it actually five rats in total uh and I learned that they used five rats and uh and the reason that

there are so many Cuts in the scene is because the rats kept um [ __ ] themselves out of oh fear out of Absol Fe breathing yeah yeah so uh that sucks but cuz you can't really explain to a rat like don't worry just be be calm relaxed it'll feel you a time that to me if you were going to just immerse me in water and say Just Breathe once you're under there yes so uh that scene uh was not allowed in the UK because they have very strict animal cruelty laws wow and they said that that's not acceptable that you did that and so all previous releases of the Abyss in the UK have had that scene removed which I didn't know uh and this time James karon said [ __ ] you not

removing it oh I stand by the I stand by those rats they're fine you say like it was in a controlled environment yes they did Sho themselves but they they're all fine they didn't die they I mean I get it's not a nice thing to have done still exploitative though isn't it yes yeah but basically they'll just that's what they're doing in the actual testing for that flu real world as well like it's not a man did it almost died but he did it so it can be done I mean I just assumed that was a special effect and they literally just put in water and filmed until the rat died and then they yelled cut and got a new rat in and pretended to pull him out of it alive that's how they fil Milo noce I think all I've been told is like right we need one to go over the waterfall

which one's the Expendable one many do you want to go oh Hannah's gonna [ __ ] kill you Luke if you don't shut up yeah I know I know I've turned it off now I'm sorry I'm sorry Hannah um but I also learned okay so obviously Ed Harris didn't have to breathe oxygenated water they didn't make him do that but I always thought in those scenes there's like you know filters on his helmet and all that kind of stuff or maybe like a thin layer that they filled with the liquid and he was behind there I assumed it was like those little bottles of milk you get for a for a kid where it looks like it's filling up and then tipping out yeah yeah no no they um they just filled his helmet with pink fluid and said okay try not to breathe and act act like you are

breathing and he had to do wow for like the second for the last third of the movie well he's a hell of an actor yeah there's actually a really good documentary about what a [ __ ] nightmare it was to film that movie I do recall right because they're they're literally filming underwater and I think this is probably yes Cameron's First underwater movie right of of which there now is this what the one that he fell in love with with water I think yeah maybe well he'd already kind of gotten into it my body's 80% of this I want to return to it yeah um yeah no there's a a really good doco about it uh if I remember I'll put in the show notes um it's just on YouTube I think I saw it uh very interesting this is an excellent movie and I I watch it every

few years because it's one of those classic underrated films which I as far as I know it was a decent hit when it came out but um it doesn't often get just mentioned when you're talking about even James Cameron's best movies you know yeah no it's really good it's got but excellent I think all of his movies have well not all of them when I think of like aliens and this and probably Terminator two maybe Terminator two more than oh no Terminator one as well yeah where at the end you sudden you think something's wrapping up and suddenly it just kind of [ __ ] goes off again like it ramps up again right at the end oh Terminator one definitely does that yeah yeah I just I just remember yeah but the

car crashes and all that kind of stuff and then they get into the fact to also does it yeah it's a kind of was thing back a good example of that too Titanic think it's coming back up and do you think all this movies about a submarine's gone missing it's a nuclear sub their underwater thing and there's [ __ ] aliens yeah yeah that's right it's one of the best examples of using that Trope that is now well and truly overdone which is something weirds going on oh it's a submerged alien craft you know sure yeah yeah anyway great files also did a a few few one of them episodes in the third or fourth season where that was the case

where I thought was a Russian uh nuclear sub went down and they went to retrieve it there also sequ dsv I think uh URI Geller uh was on that set wasn't he the on that sub yeah sorry being misted by Michael jaon story so yeah abys 4K not being released in the UK now you'll have to import yours from uh somewhere else if you're in the UK so he said you're not cutting it and they said well we're just not releasing it and then just nothing else happened after but that's not it's not as big a deal as it used to be so remember before when there was region locking everywhere and so if you

couldn't get it now there's no region locking so if people really want it they just order it from overseas and they get it yeah is that true I'm not even sure I realized that because I never got into Blu-rays I'm pretty sure Blu-rays have Regent locks um XBox doesn't have region locking anymore players don't have region locking I think the Xbox does for Blu-rays I could be wrong correct me if I'm wrong but I think I think Blu-rays still have region locks I know the games don't the games definitely don't let's have a look here cuz I've I've ordered some overseas games to play because they don't get released in Australia yeah I've bought games overseas but you know some overseas places might be compatible and I'm just not even realizing Blu-ray titles have region

coding similar to DVDs however instead of eight regions there are only three okay maybe just reded a lot more likely than not that you're getting something that's still within your region just have to make sure you get it from country that's in your region and pretty much the UK is we we're on the same region austr was in the same region wasn't it so easy we were four remember remember we were region four and America were region one that's all I yeah of course we were um but do you remember when they were [ __ ] all DVDs out here you know you could get Gladiator and like three others um region locking was [ __ ] pointless because you know you can't you can't I paid I paid $100 to get my original my first DVD player unlocked when I bought it cuz that was

like do you want it unlocked we could do that had a little checky code you can pop in on the remote mine had I could I could change my region five times on it and then it would stay and then it would stay so the iMac that I had with a DVD player in it was the same you could change it back and forth only four times and then it would just remain on whatever but yeah I think games now aren't region locked they're just it's a game yeah maybe but how does that work with something like say Conan Exiles where you don't see the dicks in Australia you do see the dicks do you now you never used thing then it wouldn't matter because you'd still install the game and then it would go well you're in Australia no dick

remember you didn't get the DI because you brought it in Singapore was that why well there you go but that's what I mean so what's what's the technology stopping there if it's not a region coding um it's because it was a it was a add- on that came with the game when you purchased it and because you brought in Singapore you didn't get that free add-on oh yeah maybe well what about what about South Park where Australia didn't get the version with the with the rapes y yep so that was 36 360 so I'm talking about new Xboxes I see so I just checked um physical games are all region fre on the Xbox but codes for games and subscriptions are L okay that makes sense yeah so if you bought a code on a site in another country might not work

yeah you know I was thinking about an old Xbox One game H sorry not Xbox One first original Xbox game [ __ ] I actually knew what you stupid yeah right um uh Kung Fu Chaos it was one of my favorite Brawlers right yeah that was a great game to get drunk so fun yeah but I I heard it mentioned on another podcast that I listened to uh where they review old games and they weren't reviewing that but somebody mentioned that as just a fun brawler and the other guy was like have you when was the last time you played it he's like oh not good anymore and he's like no no no it's not that it's not good it's just that you're so aware that it's horribly horribly racist real it probably is yeah I mean the voice over in it is what you could only describe as the ching

chong [ __ ] voice right yeah yeah you know done done by a white person presumably what do you call it like a rice hat maybe that's racist and yes what do you call it's not it's not racist for you to call it out I think it's that's what it is no no I just mean the name of the hat and I was like you know what I should I don't even know what they're called you're not going to know the Chinese name for the Hat no one I don't think anyone's expecting that it is it is somewhere it's in there somewhere but yes the last time we would have played this game would have been 20 years ago [ __ ] hell no exaggeration 20 years ago we used to play live together how long we live together in New Town don't tell me it's 20 years cuz that's terrifying it probably it be 20

soonish like January February but I'm already like 2 mil 111,000 wow that's impressive that is impressive it is I don't know what it gets me but I'm impressed by it I'm assuming mad and I aren't even at 1 million I know I'm not I'm not at 100,000 I think I was at 30 or last time I checked I can tell you right now go Matt 58,000 very decent better than I thought that's better than I and then where are you I'm hoping for 30 oh no sorry sorry sorry I was reading you no your actual gamer score score true Achi yeah y Matt yours is 39,000 oh okay maybe I'm not hoping for 30 then and Dan yours is eight eight

okay just shy of nine like 50 more and you're at 9,000 how do you even get eight achievement point eight 8,000 I know 8 points and yeah I at 2 million and 11 2 million so I probably got more achievements this week than both you million a half 2 million1 2 million 11,000 3 said and a half I'm like [ __ ] you way over not yet but I probably did get more this week than you guys got all year positive of that no I mean I barely played this year and I tend to play the same games over and over so you don't get more points more you play the same game no and I actually one quite proud of I completed Alan Wake to 100% as well 100% very nice so got all the achievements in that as

well I some achievements this week I got uh some Resident Evil 2 remake achievement o oh wait you're playing that on Xbox yeah oh nice I'm playing that on switch so they switch you've unlocked nine achievements on it so far there go I have and then I played some I tried to play some more Starfield did we talk about this already and I'm not playing anymore I'm going to go back to it just to mop up some achievements but I don't know it's just they went too big yeah probably I just that's probably I think and I think they could have got rid of space travel I don't know about that it's kind of the whole point of the game is that you're in a spaceship like yeah but yeah but okay so let's think about space games where the space travel did work

right so obviously obviously there was yeah outer world is the one that comes to immediately to mind right where you actually SN man Sky snowman sky where you take off from a planet and literally fly through the atmosphere into orbit into space yeah or yeah out of world you just go take me to this planet and it does and that's you know you know that's which is fine they could have done that and stuff they could have done that that's what I mean they could have just done that yeah they should have done that yeah yeah I think if they cuz really the second you actually know where you're going you just fast travel anyway the space fighting is not really interesting travel in general take the [ __ ] boat scenes out of most

Assassin's Creeds and I'll be more happy you know oh you got to go here not only do you have to sail there in real time but also other ship are going to try to [ __ ] smack into you I will admit I like the boat I do but I know what Dan's saying there was some in I played uh Origins recently and there's sometimes when you play as um by exwife I kind of think of her name yeah um uh but you play as her when she's helping out Cleopatra and it's like C stuff oh yes the game just grinds to a halt while you do get Pompei or something like that and then the little thing comes on and it's like 5,000 miles away and it's like and and literally nothing happens until you get there and all of a sudden all these ships come and it's like why did you make me do that

yeah yeah oh yes you just get into that bay and there's just a billion ships there to fight you yeah I nearly finished put me there like speak assass Creed I've nearly finished the most recent one the Assassin Creed Mirage it's not good oh no I've heard it forgot about that which is uh it's not it's but it's not a full game though is it it it was originally intended to be it was originally intended to be DLC for Valla was it Valla the last one yeah yeah yeah but then they went no we'll fles it out so it's not it's not a it's not like they just sold DLC but it's not like a full full game see Vala you spend half your time in a boat but it's fine it's less tedious they didn't go okay you're in Norway now just [ __ ] row to England this one there is

no travel to England and there's a cut scene but I'm I'm look I'm I'm looking forward to the next Assassin Creed this one just didn't grab me like the last two have like all last three really have Origins Odyssey and bajala they've all been great and then this one just open worlds this is remember when they did those those Sid scroll at Assassin's Creeds and they India China yeah the China One was very interesting and I I kind of wish they' done a full game on that because that's setting was was very interesting yeah they should do something like that like I guess I mean you know Egypt and and Greece are not yeah yeah feudal Japan would be cool ex Creed Australia sick Creed Australia good day

mate where can I see the whole town from no what they should make is Fall Out Australia Australia and it's not in the future it's just set in the outback right now you guys watch the trailer for The Fallout show yes yeah it did yeah we haven't talked about that have we Luke and I chattered about it a little bit in person I'm I thought it looked bad really I can't tell honest I I honestly I couldn't tell from the trailer the tone of it was like oh yeah you I don't want Fallout in the TV show I think they they need to have the humor in it that's is going to very hard it's not a comedy it's not a comedy though yes that's the thing yeah I don't know but I was worried the first half of the trailer that there wasn't any humor in it at all

and I was like no fallout's very funny but it's like ironically funny yeah but then in the end of the trailer that oh no don't worry this is a comedy and there were just jokes and I we don't want that either we want yeah a dramedy is that something like no you know what I just want Fallout five I don't want to show obsidian come back and make one of the in between ones like Fallout New Vegas I'll be happy with that you know what REM P Out New Vegas so I can just play it again that'll be fine too someone from was it from obsidian I think whoever whoever the studio now that has the people that did New Vegas said that they approached Bethesda yeah said can we do something in between Fallout 4 and whatever you're going to do next we use the Fallout 4 engine because we've got

some ideas and Bethesda said no also pitching for um Elder Scrolls as well like let us do inet yeah and let us do some more yeah I don't know why they said no because like New Vegas that people think New Vegas is better but that took time when that first came out people liked it but they weren't saying it was the best it was later on I think people started went now this is better well because Fallout 3 had the benefit of being the first 3D Fallout and we're all like [ __ ] it's so good and then but it was so like and then New Vegas is like oh it's kind of the same but then when you yeah it felt like DLC more advanced like the story better but I would love to have that like you have your main ones and then you just have obsidian who do the games

well because really a lot of the guys there created Fallout when they're back at interplay is it where there's those that town of slave kids that have escaped that you that are down underground and they get booted out when they turn 18 like that that could have been a gameing end of itself you know like that story was just so rich and it because and it had the you know the old man running the running New Vegas the guy inside the machine all that kind of stuff Caesar character you actually find out that he was the one who started the wall oh I forgot about all that yeah see now play that again should yeah but see don't just you got to play Fallout 3 if

you're going to play that you want to lead into it suppose so Fallout 3 is amazing I've played it three times I think and the third time I worked out how to not ever go into the tunnels CU that was the only thing on the second play through I was like man you spend a lot of time Underground and the third time I was like you can make it to DC without uh without going underground if you just go the long way around cuz it's going to be a long time to we get another Fallout but here's the thing presumably Fallout 4 of course yeah me too did you play it again from the start because I yeah oh well I sort of did I started to I barely even got out of the

minute man missions the world is just so big there's so much to do it's daunting the minute man stuff I sort of skip over quite quickly cuz but no because I played through on the Xbox and then I played through on the Windows as well oh did you the different achievements and then I got when I sort of got a bit bored I just used commands to unlock the achievements I can't imagine playing Fallout with a keyboard and mouse or do you did you play it with a controller I play with controller I did play I think I played New Vegas on PC actually you know you've said that I think that is where I played that I never finished New Vegas oh really I did good I it was achiev for me it when I got up to the choice of which

faction I had to go to I couldn't decide and just stopped just let them caught you let them come to you Luke let yeah but no they you over they did all of that and then it was a now you got to choose like Matthew Perry's in that game I didn't know that oh felici day with my companion I started listening to the audio book of Matthew Perry's autobiography oh yeah um because was uh Spotify let you listen to 12 hours of audio book a month or something for free um and uh they got quite a selection so we had it all in the car cuz [ __ ] we've been driving a lot this week back Christmas family is just driving back and forth he starts off going I'm going to read this book about my life it's kind of weird it's going to feel like you're listening to this from beyond the

grave and it's like oh man what it's basically just how much he [ __ ] loves drugs and alcohol right can mean didn't take me out um speaking of Xbox we got one other piece of Xbox related news um people are really angry at them because they used AI generated art which people are real mad about that there's two camps on this some people think it's cool and fine others think it's the worst thing and it's you know you should I can sort of see why they're a little I think it's the future and you're just gonna have to get over it

yeah I suspect that's the case too I think because there's recently some drama about um Dungeons and Dragons wizard of the coast something happened a little while ago where somebody submitted some art to them and they were GNA they they had it in uh I could be wrong on the details here but they had art they were going to use and people point out that's not a human didn't make that you can tell mhm and then um so they said oh okay we don't allow AI generated art and then more recently they posted some art for a new book that's coming out and people again said that's a AI art and that kind of thing it turns out it's not the guy just [ __ ] drew a picture and people are it's GNA be hard to tell but people are just on a knif edge about this topic right now this one I think if they were

promoting s AAA game or something like that or just Xbox I could see the fact that they were promoting Indie Games I think is the but here's this is this is a social media post yes it's not it's not in the game this is just just put a tile up it's up going to be up for one day to generate some conversation and then and then boy you you can't Microsoft can't afford to pay somebody a human to design a a banner for your social media for Christmas come on which is yeah I mean it does seem weird I spend I spend half my [ __ ] week making tiles for social media yeah not for part of my job what is that not for Microsoft obviously no no unless you're just having chat GPT Genera them for you chat GPT would just tell you how to go buy a

pen right why don't you draw it mate it's not going to take you long I'm busy how to kill all you [ __ ] bags starting up something called Skynet but yeah no cuz hly we people you can't go look we're supporting IND developers while we're taking away from we're just stealing and yeah yeah I don't know I don't like the AI stuff but I mean it's not stealing though is it well where did it learn how to do the art where did I learn how to do art but looking at other artists yeah well enough people think that is stealing that it's a controversal oh then it is then topic no no no no no no I'm just saying it's a controversial topic so it's not oh no of

you're going to pay somebody to sit there and type prompts into GPT or whatever you can pay someone to draw it except that the argument is they do employ someone to do it he just uses a computer differently instead of using a stylist thing no what what used to happen was you'd have the person you you as you with your job you have the person I want this and then you go create it and then you give it back to them what this is doing is taking away your job but it's giving it to someone else it's not like that that's what happens that's what automation is in every Factory and every industry no no but the automation is is when do we get to the point where we've got this Society where people could

still have something to do that's fine but then I don't see why it's worse because it's Indie rather than Triple A because it's not like an it's not like if they didn't do this they would get an indie game developer to to design social Med could but they wouldn't anyway it would just be an employee of Microsoft that did it like yeah it's not Tak anything away from anybody yeah I I see I see the moral conundrum but I think it's a storm and a cup and I think this is I'm sure this when the printing press was invented people probably went up to gutenberg's house and went what about the scribes what are we going to do what about the copy and the shreders and like the the state of Detroit these days because this stuff has always happened and and it's

but yeah it's it's it's sort of weird are we're getting to this point where yeah I just it's it's just a scary thing because not everyone can just retrain to go go code because you only need so many cod as well I know well that's why I think Ubi and something like that is interesting I know it's it's complicated so I'm not saying the second we get to the point where we don't have to work because yeah all the corporations want to get rid of this to to have the people so we pay you less so we can make more but then there's I think the idea being you have enough money that you get your basic needs could be covered and then you can you have the freedom to explore or something you want to do rather than being desperate and having to take shitty jobs and then not being able to

get out of it because you have toomics what's that trekonomics GTI no no in in the star star trk world like they don't have money right yes that's what marks and Engles were saying too they were saying like spread the spread the wealth spread the labor and take a few more days off you know if everybody worked then nobody would need to work as much cuz like Bill Gates recently said like he's looking for like pretty soon there's going to be like a three-day working week and it's all like while that's great in principle companies are going to pay you for a three-day working week yes yeah they're not GNA go there's there's details that need to be filled

in with all yeah and that's the thing that we're not going to solve here no so let's talk about re yeah who watched Rebel Moon I did Solving did you you took one for the I watched it all of it um I can see why he says his director's cut that's going to be another two hours long will be better cuz he just he just was desperate for more you think it will be better or you can see why he thinks that I can see why it would be better if this is out oh because I went into no detail about any he went to no detail about anything it's just hey we're going to go here andle add this person to the thing and this person there's no backstory to really anyone this would have been a better uh TV

series okay it's getting terrible reviews f with that yeah want to watch it though but I just every time I look at the tile I think I'm not going to enjoy it yeah it's like the evil Galactic Empire rocks up at this Moon they're going to kill everyone so they go to recruit I've seen this movie seen this yeah they go to recruit them recruit an army and they go to recruit all these separate people individually but there's no real reason why these people are so special like it's no backstory about why are there and I think in his extended St you're probably gon to have more of a backstory and it's black hog movie there's all this information that they know about we don't see on screen yeah yeah right some dude rapes another

dude I'm the same with the Creator now I've got that bookmarked obviously and and I want to see it and every time I do I'm like but I don't want to be disappointed by it so the longer I hold off watching it I mean it's still it's still good it's just you know one thing I'm a bit confused about thought it was gonna be yeah I'm a bit confused about the fact that he's now come out and said like there's a long a longer cut of this one why not just have instead of part one and part two why not have part one part two and then throw a part three and maybe a part four if you've got all this extra Stu just make it longer it's already there yeah and that might fix the problem I don't know what Netflix is doing maybe they maybe they made him do it like I don't know yeah well I mean

you have a contract that says you're you're making you need to hit this length it can't go over this length etc etc it's the same might they might go out and feel extra well that's the thing that's his prerogative to do that and they would prefer that he didn't I'm sure M if he's so good at managing his budget he can get more footage that's not actually working in his favor other than he's got more to play with in the edit room because if he's if he's contracted for a 2-hour movie that's what he has to deliver and they'll they'll make you cut it down well maybe they did and I wonder if um he maybe this extended edition was not a you know a definite and that's why he's been out talking about it so much saying oh yeah but this one this version

is not that great he does he's a very good self-promoter yeah yeah yeah was worked for him before this week yeah he's been talking about how he wants to do James Bond and I [ __ ] hope he doesn't I don't want that I can't see it happening I don't want that he's not right for that he said maybe we could go back to when James Bond was 20 years old and see what makes a man the type of man who could be James Bond oh don't do that James Bond's not a 20y old he's not her that could be good but not him doing it yeah the only thing is he CU Schneider he he thinks superheroes are Gods right like that's that's his thing is that he thinks they're superhuman and that we should Bow Down and Worship them

um you know as opposed to Marvel who think superheroes are just regular people man cracking jokes and [ __ ] um so maybe he would do James Bond Larger than Life in a way that he was just so perfect that he was you know he had to be a spy you know the the Secret Service needed him uh I don't know it could be be interesting but maybe just don't make it Cannon just just let him do it as a as a spin-off or something yeah call it something else but will yeah now I'm interested to know because this article doesn't sort of this G indication that he talked about brought up that he'd like to do James Bond whether I want to know if he was asked the question or not because it basically goes snd also spoke about what he's considering next revealed that he would like to have a

got James Bond franchise but the quote they'd have is it cool to see like 20-year-old James Bond the humble roots so I want to know if he was asked the question or if he just said that yeah he said he interested they because they said would you be interested in doing a James Bond movie and he said sure yeah and they said what would it be about he goes maybe it go back to the start of it y yeah 100% I also popped this little article in about um Christopher Nolan has been buddies they best friends no I know I know that's he's been supportive and but given that his support is actually quite lukewarm given that they are buddies because sure he doesn't he doesn't say anything nice in this about any of his more recent movies he says Watchman was ahead of its time in one interview and

there's another one where he says there's no not even good just ahead of its time yeah exactly he says no superhero science fiction film coming out these days where I don't see some influence of Zack which in other words some slow motion sequences yeah with lots of CGI and very dark saying he's good for Bond it doesn't yeah I wouldn't mind a retro Bond I wouldn't mind seeing sure on back in the Cold War era you know oh yeah set set in the 60s 60s technology gadgets and stuff I want to go back to the fun gadgets and the fun Bond yeah I think it could work I think it could work Mak it a bit more Camp they' had levels of that throughout the years though but the problem is I

think that's what they tried to do with broen because they made they made golden ey which I believe is the perfect mix it's great of the camp and the serious it's still very serious tbec and all of that6 stuff but it's also got Boris and and zenya on a top and all of this stuff and it's got the lasers and and and all of that very cool but then they leaned way too into invisible car and stuff for the sequels yeah controlling it with his phone and stuff which is why I think they had to bring it way way back in they reeled it all the way back in for Daniel Craig but I do agree we now need to see some of that classic bond in there but they it's a fine line they're treading and Snider's not the one to do it I am I watched something else on Netflix

this week I watched uh Rick J's armagedon did you controversial apparently controversial probably less controversial than last time I would say because he doesn't out and out just Target trans people um and make fun of them like he did in the previous I will say I miss Ricky Jes when he used to make jokes because there's no jokes in this it's mostly just an hour and a half of him being angry about wokeness and that's fine I'm always eager to hear his opinion on it because he does bre but he he leans a little too far into it because I I think I think anyone who's really angry about wokeness and doesn't seem to realize that the reason it's there is to so that people don't get their feelings hurt and that that is important but that there's probably a

balance and maybe we've gone a little too far in One Direction and that it's a Nuance but there's no Nuance with Ricky ja he's just like no I should be able to say what I want to who I want you know I do wonder if he really thinks that sometimes or because he does have a Persona as well that he's kind of maintaining so and he does talk about that he says that in the show he says that exactly right he said uh you know is making these things he's like you know this is not me saying this right this is just my standup bit so yeah I wondered that I see I sometimes I wonder about that about Dave Chappelle but like then and then again yeah but he seems very angry that's that's what I mean yeah from what from what I understand but I also miss Chappelle I listener

then I was do you mind you don't have to tell us or we could beep it out but I I'm curious to know what you paid for your because you got the M3 right beautiful black beautiful black boy yeah yeah yeah yeah the Gary Coleman have to believe it out I think it was like 3500 or something yeah okay yeah like that's it's [ __ ] expensive tradein and all that stuff yeah yeah yeah no cuz I looked and I was like oh they're expensive and then I know you did you get a like a killer deal on it or something no I had to I do have to prioritize because I I want I was like I can have the the fast CPU or I can have more storage space and I think I need more storage space because I [ __ ] hate carrying hard drives around everywhere sure so so this has a four

terabyte like drive it and internal God that's massive for an internal driver yeah yeah yeah so it's but I can put all my sample libraries and stuff for doing music stuff I don't have yeah you just have it all on there yeah yeah I don't have to carry a separate drive around which is drives I don't know why it's just it's like no I agree I used to have a whole separate drive just for my iTunes library you know like so things may take a little bit longer but you've got it all there ready essentially yes yeah but so I traded the Max studio which I got a good like because I only bought that I haven't been around that long I bought it when they first announced them and I traded that and so that brought the price down but the 3500 is what it cost

before any of that yeah so yeah yeah yeah yeah that's so I got this watch and then they had there was been a patent dispute a company oh it was a patent dispute yeah yeah I forget the name of the company but they apparently invented the technology that lets this take your blood pressure I think it's blood oxygen sensor blood blood oxygen sensor okay wow and um they lodged a dispute that was like you know went through and then Apple appealed it to like literally to the I think to the president so like yeah Joe Biden and Joe Biden Jo Biden went I got no idea about watch looks legit this looks legit cuz they asked him on Christmas on Christmas

Day [ __ ] off I'm busy it's chras I'm a I'm a grandpa mhm but no it looks like they I mean the patents legit like how do you feel about patents in this case it's legitimate like but just to be clear they licensed the patent to Apple at some stage but the patent lapsed or apple ripped off their technology I think the I could be wrong the implication is that Apple ripped off their technology or ripped off came up with it and then independently check and then CU that's how P work I could independently invent something of course and and release it but if somebody else has patented a very similar technology they could argue that they have the patn on it and even if I didn't steal it from them I'm still in well it's why we don't

have um good joysticks anymore sure remember in the 90s we had joysticks that had force feedback M and you don't have them anymore it's because of patent dispute right right oh yeah and they were like you know what I did know that yeah can't have nice things so stupid you know what we can have I got but I got this one before they so they blocked them they couldn't you couldn't buy them just before right so you have one of the ones is disputed no no you can you can but they do they can sell them again now but and the thing that annoys me is I got even though I got this beforehand they probably may have to disable that feature with software which means I get [ __ ] anyway so but you could get a refund if you want though I would assume oh maybe if

you go I brought this just for that feature yeah I could try that but don't you still want the you don't really care about the feature do you no I just my old one was old so I [Laughter] got yeah and I realized I was on like a oh wait I can trade in the old one and it's cheaper so yeah yeah S I can trade in my pixel phones to get thing and I'm looking at it cuz I've got like my three previous pixels so maybe we should see see if Google does that I think Amazon will take stuff too if you if you want to I've just never been good about sending stuff in like I'll get something that I don't want and can return it and I just not yeah I'm like this was easy enough basically the first one I did was I had an old um 2016

MacBook and I they said they give me 350 bucks for it and I was like [ __ ] I'll take that cuz I'm I'm never going to sell this thing on eBay I can't be bor yeah so I said fine let's do it and they what they literally they FedEx you a box and then you wipe it put it in the box and all the protective stuff and then FedEx takes it back to them and then once they get it they go yep there you go here's your money yeah cuz like I've had like old Xboxes that I probably could have sold or and I've just given them away because they can't be bothered to go through the hassle trying to sell them and well sometimes it's okay to give stuff I've given I give other things away too I was cleaning out my office is why all of this happened basically gave my iPad

away don't have an iPad anymore oh no iPad well I gave one away to my daughter so she now has an iPad and I don't so I I gave my iPad away to my father signed by Felicia Day signed by Felicia Day and what what did he do he threw away the cover you know why cuz he doesn't know is no give a [ __ ] no one thing you could have could kept the cover you can have this but the cover's special so please like keep that and no threw it away I still remember um a former member of this podcast um gifted his mom a boxed set of some DVD series that she liked and she tore open
