I have a question for both of you H what type of pants does a a flat earther wear um is this is this a joke it's just a paranormal pants welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan MO mble nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy that's good that's it that's all I got now going to open VX yeah oh that's the one that's got VOD
Canon or something no it's just got um stronger 6 the strength yeah just stronger how do they make it stronger just put more alcohol in it and make it a small size yes yeah well they don't trust him that's why no that's why I've got a bigger one for later my name name Alli if if he's untrustworthy how is making more alcohol in smaller shootable remember they had the was it the depth charge for a while I think it was cartton cold with a shot of vodka in it and then that got pulled from shelves pretty quickly very quickly the Australian government was like no wasn't there one called a stinger or something like that that actually came with shot on the outside test tuby thing you support no you just I don't think I
think that was more of just a look cuz you just shot it cuz it didn't taste horrible well it's supposed to be that you dropped it in and then as you drank it started off quite light but then by the time you got to the bottom of the bottle it had gotten quite concentrated but you shot it I remember at c a certain point out in out in wcia where I grew up one of the one of the boys in the neighborhood went on a cruise and came back with the knowledge that you could take something like a bardi Breezer MH put two two bendy straws in it and hold them down at the sides and then if you just tip it upside down and in your mouth it just goes it just falls out it just it's just inside you and then and that's that's young people getting interested in science yeah and
then so everyone was doing that and I was like sorry why are we doing this couldn't we just drink something that doesn't taste like [ __ ] that's the thing I the thing I also never understood and I I don't think I ever really did when we grow up drink people used to drink to get drunk sure and that was their goal to get fall down drunk and iink more but my goal is to never ever get drunk being drunk I just like I like the taste of the alcohol and I want to drink it I like the tasty I like that just just before that tipsy [Music] that just keep it there you're drunk Dan and I'm an alcoholic I think I am too at this point so if you get drunk then you got the 3 to four day hangover now oh yeah yeah yeah I can't do that especially because my daughter does not
give a [ __ ] about how hung over I am she's like Dad get up we're watching Sheriff C that's why're doing stuff yeah um listener Grant was telling me that uh young people these days drink completely differently to how we do because he's he's a he's a lawyer right he's part of the lawy firm he has a some paralal or clerks or something that are in their early 20s and they had a work drinks the other night and one of them said a I probably shouldn't come to the work drinks I'm not much of a drinker and uh Grant said you don't have to drink much he's like yeah I might just limit myself to four shots and's like we're not going to be doing [Laughter] shots right no shots are when the night's starting to take a
turn yeah yeah we could go home now or we could make sure that we're really really regretting this tomorrow again I'm like shots the way people do shots where it's just like get it in get just get it down right I don't want to taste it just get it and like no I I don't why do you want to do that I don't like not that I don't like being drunk I do but I also like the taste of delicious beverages yeah there's plenty out there if you don't like it just swap there's I would rather have a a a tasty drink than a shot right yeah get an Apple Tei if that's how you feel whatever yeah well actually I quite like a martini every now and again I don't but which is pretty much a shot but you don't I'll be honest the last time man
my my other friend Luke we We snuck martinis into um the last James Bond movie and it was 9:00 a.m. and I hadn't even had breakfast and I had three martinis and I was vomiting in the toilets after the movie [ __ ] it was not good no I bet in your head it probably sound like a good idea of it mate it was like yeah day opening day what's it called no time to die yeah no time to die vodka martinis of course this is what want to do the problem was you didn't call them breakfast tiies oh yeah if you just called them that it wouldn't have been a problem for you okay your body would have known what to do with it yeah dipped a Quant in one I uh I saw or heard or experienced
the music from uh no time to die live on Monday night this looked like a very very interesting musical experience so I went and saw hanima live again I've seen him once before last time I saw him was at Foxwoods Casino which is one of the uh Native American casinos near here I did a decide how to describe it you didn't want to say I was like yeah I I almost said the bad word is that Cally how they're known or do people always pause and have to think about it and then say native American now uh Foxwoods people just say Foxwoods and everybody knows I don't I don't know that it comes up that often yeah I that's why I had to think about it a bit because no because there's there is a phrase casino right that's a an idiom yeah and I think we've talked about this
before is that when you they tell you the signs that say you're entering a reservation right the laws of the land are different here so just [ __ ] bear that in mind right um yeah so last time I saw him was was there uh and it was still amazing but it was kind of a smaller scale thing this was at TD Garden which is the big [ __ ] arena in yeah how many how many people were there cuz that place looked packed and that place look [ __ ] TD Garden capacity capacity is about 20,000 people okay I actually built like more yeah that's actually less than I thought too cuz we all concerts now in Sydney seem to have moved to the arena the cluster of Arenas in Olympic
Park which like 100,000 people yeah no look this is sick uh loved it I've got one question for you Matt did he do video kill the Radio Star he did not do video kill the Radio Star were you calling out so the other thing is last time too they did they do you know he does all the hits all the movies does some stuff from inception some of the stuff from a no they did uh he did time at the end he didn't do the bo last time he did the you know the uh the dream is collapsing that I don't know if the name of the tracks but you know you know what I mean the the the you know the bit I mean this time he just did time um time is one of the like it's it's one of the all-time great trailer tracks now yeah yeah and it's a beautiful but it's just it's four
chords and like arrange beautifully across different instruments and and and but it's Four Courts is what it is Prov it yeah doesn't have to be complicated for it to be good no that's what's so great about Han Zimmer is I mean I'm not going to say he's not a talented musician he clearly is but he knows how to take very very simple Melodies and and simple core progressions and make them just sound he he gets everything out of an idea he can yeah and look he's got some [ __ ] talented people so Guthrie Goin In still guitarist he's [ __ ] incredible he's got like R Panini on violin it's just incredible musicians on stage with him the Her Name Escapes me the woman who the yelling woman from the Dune soundtrack she was there um Lisa Gerard
was there the woman who does the singing on The Gladiator soundtrack last time I saw him they did the Gladiator soundtrack but she wasn't there it was just some other singer she pops up this woman pops up the back with the the hair mm and I was like [ __ ] that looks like like Lisa Gerard or someone cosplaying is her no her it's her cosplaying is her The Lion King guy was there why the guy does the I'm not goingon to do it he was there he did a very job of it just when you when you think when you start thinking that um Zimmer is all Interstellar and and Inception all that you start remembering oh no no he won an Oscar in the '90s for writing The Lion King and The Lion King soundtrack is phenomenal stunning we we watched The Lion King couple of month ago here and
the music stands out against all the other Disney movies from that period the cartoon or the Remake I'm not watching the [ __ ] remake I'm not watching a live action I forgot you know when you said that I was like oh yeah they did make a sequel no you mean the live action one John I think they're making a live action sequel as well oh God John anyway and they even did uh they did some stuff from dark Phoenix and it was funny because he gets up we could see so we were s i i I spent a bit money on seats cuz I was [ __ ] it [ __ ] it where you were so so where we were you could see the screen that was it was like the what was up next and it also had like the metronome and the time signature and stuff so yeah I was quite interested actually yeah
um but uh [ __ ] what was I about to say what was I talking about um um where you sitting Gladiator no [ __ ] there was a whole there was a point that I was about to make I've completely forgotten s trying to backtrack saw things I don't know it's G I'm sure it's very profound though du Phoenix can't oh yeah Duc Phoenix that's right yes thank you he he he was talking about how he's like you know sometimes you work so hard on these films and you always obviously you always hope it's going to be successful and sometimes you get all these musicians in and you work really hard and you're so proud of the score that you think oh this is going to be so amazing and then the movie comes out and it's a bit
[ __ ] I don't want to say the name of the movie and then I'm looking up here dark Phoenix on the up on the board and uh yeah so they played some of that I mean amazing score awful movie but he also seems like quite the performer oh yeah yeah he had so so I don't know if I told I want a messed you guys right he canceled the show in Baltimore on the Friday because they just said he was Ute illness they didn't say what it was so and then everyone was like oh [ __ ] what's going to happen so I was checking on Instagram because in fact I only knew because some of the musicians I follow like some of the people who perform with him and they said oh we've had to cancel the show that's the only reason I knew that it happened so I was checking their
Instagrams and stuff and then they were saying oh you see you tonight Boston so I was like okay still happening he had pneumonia oh and he had pneumonia presumably still a bit during this show cuz he was back coffing and stuff like that and he said at the start is I'm sorry I'm not going to be as energetic as usual cuz I've I've had pneumonia and but he still came down I saw him [ __ ] basing it through the the crowd came by got some photos and stuff was good but but that's what I mean like he's just uh yeah he Lo he obviously loves it and he [ __ ] BS up the people he works with too so I give him credit for that I love I love when musicians do that he's like the opposite of because you know these articles about how Hollywood composers are [ __ ] who steal credit yeah I just
don't see how people can lump him in those guys after unless unless a reaction to that and now he's trying to like no I doubt it trying to give credit Prett genuine guy anyway love it if you ever get the chance to go [ __ ] just do it it's [ __ ] sick don't think he's going to be coming to Australia anytime soon I think he might he may have before been I see why he wouldn't he goes to Europe that's a little that's fair that's fair um let's see go I can go see candle light H Zimmer's best works on October 3D the Masonic cite I get I get advertised that every day on Instagram what do you like come and see it by candle Zimmer announces return to Australia this was back in okay he was there in 2017 and he was back again in
2019 okay keep your eyes open yeah he played at uh Kudos Bank Arena yeah the Arena's Chang name depending on who's the sponsor of the Arena at the time yeah okay I don't know what the [ __ ] I think it used to be called all phones Arena all phones were sponsoring it at the time and then I remember that yeah anyway what are you doing Lov it [ __ ] awesome go see it again I I I would AB absolutely see it again and I and I will if I get the chance it yeah well that'd be cool go see him in prag or somewhere he play St when he does tours I to go to sturg and see [ __ ] Han Zimmer so good it's only a short flight for you
Hitler lived in um speaking of musicians and I don't want to linger on this long um but um just for some absolute [ __ ] news can we just talk about the fact that [ __ ] P did is in jail and on suicide watch cuz they think he's going to kill himself because he's been convicted of human trafficking mhm I've heard some of the stories to come out and it's w are coming out and going mate that's just hip-hop culture that's what we do we [ __ ] fly women all over the world and make them do like what I heard the story is like he would have people would host a party and then we get people hiring like Kine and all this stuff and make them have sex in front of him that's just what they do Luke what they do who you Jud you can't call him on it
that's their culture they fly poor impoverished women from third world countries they drug them and abuse them that's what they do see see that's just what we do is not a great thing to be saying at the moment yeah this just how we do things problem you want me to not do it is that what you want yeah yeah [ __ ] ridiculous couldn't believe it when I read all that I learned about it from TV trivia team names and then I was like why are we talking about P didy again and then unfortunately I found out now here's the thing I couldn't name you one p didy song I only know him through osmosis of popular culture like I think I know what he looks like but evidently like when think I know what he looks like like when they rested
him like in his house there was like drugs just everywhere so I think they also getting on drugs charges right right I mean your house let me put my drugs away and they're like mate this is the least of your worries we don't care about that mate yeah let the women out but I wonder if actually s so watch or they just don't want anything to happen to him let him [ __ ] kill himself if like do the whole world of fa now people want to see him get raped in jail I don't I don't even think I mean everyday people I mean like the judicial system I'll hear about it I just want to hear that it's happened I mean let me know but yeah no I think it's also um without him going to tril off you don't know exactly what's happened you may get more out of it then and there's probably other
people involved that you know he's going to turn on and oh yeah he turn in I reckon let's get this [ __ ] out in the open the other week they rushed uh what's his name wiin Harvey Weinstein to hospital for some emergency thing and then just everyone was like yeah don't care about that yeah yeah oh is he sick is he feeling okay it was like like it was news for a bit and then they were realizing no one gives a [ __ ] so he they released him didn't they uh no he's still in prison because he was he was he got a retrial in New York I think he's still convicted of all the of all the other cases okay for someon all I think I think one of them somehow got overturned or one on repeal or something but I there's enough other ones that
they could prove that he's I think the judge allowed a witness to talk about something that wasn't part of the what he was charged with and the judge allowed them to give testimony and C I'm thinking of oh oh yeah yeah he's out yeah out and proud yeah yeah why people so terrible know I'm happy that Hollywood's actually starting to call this stuff out though but that's the thing and we don't have to go into it um the Neil gaming thing that we keep coming back to as well everyone's shocked and everyone's like I'm not buying these books anymore okay fair enough you don't want to that's that's absolutely a perfect way to you know
vote with your wallet but at the same time I assume any famous person is using their Fame to get sex you know what I mean like I'm just I just assume across the board that any media I'm consuming there's some [ __ ] in there well that have changed on that quite a bit not not not in like a oh I hope they're changing no no but I feel like there there's there's Neil Gaiman is what what he was doing was perfectly acceptable on a in a way that what P didy did was never acceptable you know what I'm saying like there's never a point where everybody would have been like oh yeah that's fine you know yeah keep at it whereas with Neil Gaiman he was a famous person people were having sex with him because he was famous that's how that works yeah and then now
it's like well actually you know what no it's not that's that's [ __ ] stupid collectively we' have said that's not okay now yeah yeah and I don't know I I think it was also just that that thought he was one of the ones who wasn't doing it I think is is part of that too like for example if I found out tiger YT was abusing women I'd be shocked you know what I mean because to me he just seems like one of the ones who just wouldn't get carried away he just doesn't seem but then yeah yeah well what what we talking about let's get it out the way Manda Palmer's finally spoken out about it oh has she no yeah and and I tried to find that um post and I think she's deleted it or I just maybe I just can't find it but yeah she she retweeted a t-shirt it wasn't her own design but she
found somebody who had designed a t-shirt that said I'm just a girl standing in front of a leftist boy asking him to apply his politics to the actual women in his life and just said I'm just going to leave this here it certainly does seem to be a comment yeah yeah yeah does all right well yeah but I mean that's vague enough that she could just be respon she's like oh yeah I've just heard that podcast that's not good is it it's not necessarily her there's more to it as well is with everything being cancelled with all these projects and stuff there must be other stuff happening in the background can't just that I think it's just they're worried about abely they're worried about public reaction if they
don't I think it's that theyy if if you did one thing to piss Disney off you're gone forever right so I understand why the isn't no good Omens is primee talk about yeah think yeah it is actually yeah I know that is yeah so yeah like it's not worth the risk like yeah yeah if the reaction is bad like uh [ __ ] uh there been a really negative reaction I saw this week to the Australian office remake have you seen this I've seen very polarized reactions I've seen to the point where now it's almost like what do you do about it you just no I've seen stuff saying that it's it's good as well like I've seen tons of good good like people are [ __ ] excited about it I've SE people having
like to to like the the Melbourne cup is like a great way of introducing and stuff like this I've SE both sides so yeah the only that's the the funny thing about it though is that the people that really hated like do not remake the office it's a classic it's like mate the office you love is a [ __ ] I just realized maybe it's because the media Outlets I'm seeing are American and they're like going this is in Australia there's a there's a couple of loud voices saying oh it's too woke you've swapped the genders but actually I think that's a good idea I think I think if you same it would be compared to Apples and apples whereas now you can you can change it up all you want no it's getting some some good Buzz here we were talking I was never American office
fan anyway so I don't give a [ __ ] no it got better but it was yeah the British one was King obviously we were talking the other day about I was asking cuz I had never thought of this I asked a bunch of people this is it trivia like have you ever heard of Young Einstein and largely they had not not and uh and it was just so funny to me because that movie was so big when I was a kid like we went on a school Excursion to see it to the movies [ __ ] Cody's cordial had a ticket hidden under every third lid or something yeah it was such a big film and then Americans are just like who the [ __ ] is Yahoo serus the first cassette tape I ever owned was the the soundtrack to Young Einstein yeah right it be pretty easy to explain Yahoo
series to them it's just carop Australian carp became the most famous actor in the world once for like for one year yeah yeah just a little bit he's [ __ ] ripped now though he's a he's a surfer he lives on the beach I know he went broke and had to sell his mansion and everything Yahoo no Carrot Tops no Yahoo oh they both got ripped then oh carp ripped as wellp weird looking now though yeah oh he's had he had a lot of work yeah all right F he yeah in in that kind of too much plastic I know carrot talk because of other people making fun of him I've never seen an actual Carrot Top presents whatever he does whatever prop comedy doesn't he yes is that what he does yeah yeah it has big things on stage and just he's a funny thing cuz it's
big all right classic um I've got a little bit of followup we talked about movie pass the other week yes and I had been joking about how I it was seemed fairly obvious that it was unsustainable but at the end of the day they gave me a credit card to buy movie tickets I'm going to use it and then it's their problem turns out the the ex CEO also knew this was unsustainable and uh and has pled guilty to fraud fraud for he said yes we we intentionally misled customers and investors it was obviously this was unsustainable but back up see this is the thing and we've argued this before and Luke and I I think we had a conversation once about like how do you even get rich off of a Ponzi scheme
because like you know the bottom fall out he just wanted to watch movies for free I guess I don't know I just don't understand how this fraud benefited even the fraud I think like it has caused some disruption in that now I can get a subscription at Showcase Cinemas which is the C like theaters the big theater chain near me I can get a subscription and it's it's not too bad like in a way that I couldn't before Movie Pass did the door for okay it forced people to being competitive I mean I'm sure he's probably going to say that's what he was trying to do so you're saying he just did it to save Cinema maybe cuz like it was was cly theit of the doubt is it yeah the cost of a subscription was less than
the cost of a movie it was $10 a month I paid and I I was able I could literally could have gone and seen they said uh well actually we're talking about this the other week on Tuesdays I found out now it's about five bucks which is quite good that's 90s prices 0 Tuesday prices I mean I saw Oppenheimer for free because I had leftover loyalty points from when I was going with movie passs in my showcase account and it was a Tuesday and I I was like I'm going to go see Oppenheimer you know lur in bed whatever I was like all right great get on my phone go to buy the ticket and it was like all right total is zero with popcorn and I was like [ __ ] yes amazing um tell about the weird free thing I got in Freedom Furniture that one time no so ha wanted this really
specific laundry hamper it's it's very nice it's Wier right she sends me off to get it so I I find it I go up to the cter it's $120 right for this yeah does it do the laundry it just just holds the laundry yeah and uh and they said it's 20% off today I said oh great she go so that's down to 100 bucks I'm like awesome then uh oh whatever it was I knew you going to call me on that whatever percent off it was and then uh and then she goes oh she because when you she goes oh what's your phone number you put it in you got some vouchers I said no I don't think so she said yeah didn't you buy something you bought a couch or something here within the last 5 years I'm like yeah I think maybe I bought a couch she's like oh was it like $1,000
I'm like sounds about right and they're like okay well you got two $50 vouchers one for each $500 you spent so this is for you and I was like okay and then I just stood there and they're like have a nice day and I'm like so I just leave with this like it's literally just free like yeah it's yours doesn't sound right it doesn't seem right yeah and it didn't really work for them cuz the whole idea is when they give you the vouchers they want you to come back and spend more money whereas this you forgot about it they didn't tell me I had them no but the employees don't get paid enough to care about that I issue no yeah yeah they also didn't tell me that the pieces of my modular Lounge clipped
together cuz I went in one day and I said like they going all skei all over my land room is there something I can buy to like bolt to the bottom and they're like should be something on the bottom I'm like didn't even think they look same thing though they said oh the guy who dripped it off at your house should have told you I'm like he didn't yeah I think they assembled us and then did not give a [ __ ] noticed it yeah uh I think under normal circumstances a movie is about 15 20 mon if you saw one movie a month you'd already got a discount yes and what they said was you're allowed to see one movie every day one a day which is still quite a lot for $10 a month but there's not movies it was just a credit card that they sent you and and they get the bill
so people quickly discovered you can do whatever the [ __ ] you want you can pay for popcorn and [ __ ] with it which you're not supposed to do right cuz the cinemas didn't care they were like yeah we're just we're sending the bill to to moveie pass so this is what I mean how did they think they were going to make any money they didn't apparently fair enough they didn't yeah but even if it was a scam how did they think they were going to scam money I don't know maybe they were hoping the stock price would go up and a normal subscription thing I'm not good at this stuff like this would have made sense that maybe $25 or $30 a month where people go in their head like pay for this I go to movie twice I get my money back and then any
making you go more than you already would to make it worth it yes okay showcase subscribe and then not letting you charge popcorn and stuff so that the cinema still make that money yes in addition to that as well all right so for 10 bucks a month $950 a month I can see one 2D movie a month for $1.95 I can see it in [ __ ] IMAX if I want to see five movies a month it costs me 20 $66.95 that's still quite good if I'm going to see that many movies that's excellent hello my swe that many movies hi hi he's your star hello Harper this is Harper's Weekly segment M what you been doing watch what show are
you watching at the moment what's your favorite show at the moment Gabby cat Gabby cat yeah C cat yeah and what's your favorite movie Mo Moana watched Moana today have some The Rock news Moana didn't like Moana you're welcome Maui song yeah that's Maui's song yeah that's right who's your favorite character in Moana Maui Maui yeah Ro Luke's favorite character is Maui as well yes okay he liing me all right say goodbye to everyone oh yeah they can't see Charlie bye Harper we condition that's who it was PD's gotten in
again too soon too soon he's still alive too that's what was wrong with that joke yeah yeah and just to clarify I'm I'm not sure he was into kids I'm I think they were perfectly AED women I think yeah he was he was Lally kidnapping them and flying them across the world to be [ __ ] oh just to be even more clear I wasn't actually accusing him of doing anything no no no I think your accusation stands it's you don't think he's actually in the rooming hope he's not I hope he's not too I hope you're not harboring P didy that's what I hope um we do have some other followup that relates to somebody being a [ __ ] uh but this is ironic it's iron [ __ ]
news so convicted woman Basher Jonathan Maes is now having chosen his first public appearance to be at the famous monster Expo I'm assuming it's because he plays [ __ ] is it K that he plays but also it's because he's a [ __ ] monster I bet you he's not allowed to say he's played King now maybe not yeah I re but H this was the person who was going to be the next um Martin Luther King Jonathan M time Martin Luther King bashed ever his first ever convention signing appearance at [ __ ] famous monsters going to be doing any movies
that's funny this is his income now $140 us to have him sign an autograph they can be expensive I wouldn't have paid that for Jonathan Maes even when oie done was Lovecraft country and I thought he was great bashed anyone except shog offs yeah no yeah no autographs can be quite expensive at these things oh here's something that's quite sad There are some comments on cuz he made a post about hey I'm going to be here and of the comments is bro it sucks what happened to this guy it seems like a genuinely good guy who got himself in a bad position because of someone else what she kept headbutting my fist
yeah and then she reported it it's in there are people who also say show his face in America you know Harvey Weinstein you know he didn't force him didn't he they wanted they wanted the job I've literally seen people say that M she got what she wanted just saying just saying I'm not just saying someone else yeah I know I don't want to be to um to Sam Harris's latest episode about um uh was it Sam har yeah it was Sam Harris when he was just talking about this second Trump shooting sure oh yeah someone shot at Trump again yeah um no didn't he didn't that far it didn't get that far they they saw the gun poking
out and they got it oh it no no no I heard that there were four shots fired [ __ ] news is crazy no oh okay news Secret Service shot at the guy oh he didn't shoot anything I never read the articles I saw there were shot and he was a nut bag he's been on the new they've interviewed him before because he went to Ukraine and he was fighting the wall there yeah he was came he was going to he had this plan that he was going to fly a bunch of [ __ ] [ __ ] um Afghanistan afgh [ __ ] soldiers Freedom Fighters to Ukraine to beat Russia and he's he's enough case [ __ ] enough case at least he's on the right side are we going to talk about the fact that all these YouTubers have been paid millions of dollars by the Russians God yeah what that's [ __ ] up too oh you
didn't hear about that no they're saying they were duped yeah they were con to I think at least come on at least one of them had to know what was going on but yeah who what so apparently allegedly the the the uh they've been indicted by the justice department I think um two Russian operatives working for uh Russia times what's that new Russia Today Russia Today this The State newspaper in State News Network prop propaganda machine yeah yeah so they they they've come to America they've started a media company called tenant media and they've hired a bunch of YouTubers like Dave Rubin Timol uh Lauren Southern uh some other guys so right leaning yes guys anyway and they've paid them a lot of money to make videosu got
$5 million for four videos yeah and they're not explicitly like some of them are to be Yeah Tim Paul stuff some of it literally saying America needs to publicly apologize to Russia yeah yeah yeah and when he said oh I had no idea it's like you had no idea but you said that of your own those were your own comments the opinion you came up with on your own so so so if you were just saying that what were they paying you for exactly exct that's yeah that's yeah Dave Rubin in particular come out and said hey look we got scammed yeah yeah how did you get scammed they paid me money they literally said he said I W to
like who's who's paying me what are they getting out of it and they literally apparently put a put a fake person on a Skype call with him and said yeah I'm just funding some media I live in France and it's in the document from the the DJ it's it's there's a there's a resume and this pamphlet they made about this fake investor some European guy and it's got a photo of I guess an actor because if you Google this person nothing comes up evidently they just invented this fake person still doesn't make sense it doesn't matter that that person was fake you still what saying is got opening right if you find out that Russia wanted you they wanted to pay you a lot of money to make your content you like well I wasn't saying anything I don't already think I know
exactly that's what I mean yeah have a think about that then yeah because actually it was quite anti-American in in a way as well because it was like you know our country is kind of split down the middle government doesn't know how to keep itself together you know that kind of thing Paul's one was was was very direct we should be supporting Russia against Ukraine but the others were just like America's [ __ ] type stuff no I have to disagree with you there it was very American they did it for money yeah yeah yeah while we're doing polit well I guess it's sort of political can we talk about this [ __ ] pager [ __ ] oh with [ __ ] Israel and where somehow they managed to get explos pages and then just set them off like
thousands of pages so years ago right so at some point Pages were a thing no no no no Hezbollah go they get they called a big meeting or whatever and they go Israel can tap our [ __ ] mobile phones we're not using them anymore we're getting pages and and two-way radios yep okay Israel finds out about this there's a Taiwanese company that was contracted by Hezbollah to make the stuff Israel forms allegedly right I'm not [ __ ] expert alleged don't know how Israel forms two Hungarian shell corporations bids to manufacture the devices wins builds them all with [ __ ] bombs in them bombs in them in 2022 mhm and then just wait for two years they've been walking around with these devices right Pages phones and
then they knew that eventually ultimately they want and then last week they sent the the the code that made him go off killed what 20 30 people and injured injured thousands that's amazing what also amazing is that this hasn't come up on my news feed really yeah well in the same way it's amazing that the [ __ ] Tim Paul stuff didn't come up on your news feed news is [ __ ] now it's like proper spy [ __ ] I was about to say that is cold fasinating [ __ ] yeah yeah digress for a sake I've been watching a TV show this week that I can't recommend highly enough it's slow horses um oh yeah Apple TV Gary Oldman Gary Oldman yeah it's basically it's set present day it's set MI5 so that's the uh domestic intelligence as opposed to
MI6 which is foreign intelligence right got so um Gathering intelligence domestically but it's specifically about this one branch where they put all the people who were [ __ ] up um and then just give them shitty assignments so that they just stay out of it um um but of course they always stumbled upon some big conspiracy and and blow it wide open and uh I've always liked uh watching Gary Oldman because he's just super cool but in this he's the the ultimate uncool he's overweight and he's disgusting and he's a prick but he does it so well and the show is just so good it's like the anti James Bond it's like people who just being a spy is their desk job you know and like what they do on the weekend is more important to them and
and what they you know just filing and [ __ ] is is most of their day-to-day stuff and occasionally like you know there'll actually be a dime where he's like please send me I haven't chased anyone in ages you know probably more than what it's really like yeah so good there's four seasons the fourth Seasons airing I think sporadically [ __ ] hell all right but there're only six episodes a season because it's British right so right I watched first two seasons this week it's very good I've seen it 24 episodes in total 21 H I watched um season four of the Umbrella Academy did we talk about that no I haven't seen that yet I couldn't get pass the start first episode of that was weird I still love it I love that show it's really good it was not the
strongest season and there was some stuff in there different yeah and there's some stuff that I was like uh whatever and uh and it's short it's a short season which I guess they just weren't given the budget presumably to do more uh but I I liked it I like those characters I like the show okay worth watching if you're a fan I I I like that each cuz I I went back and watched the first season I think after the third season and I was like [ __ ] I forgot about all of this stuff it's a completely different show like you know in the second season with JFK and all of that in it and then the third season just all set in that hotel like y every season's been very different but I I'm on it yeah I I got to watch this yeah this season they get
um like new powers and stuff cuz something that happens and so it kind of mixes things up a bit and it's I yeah it was good but did you ever watch that British TV show where the yeah Misfits I've heard of it a million times I know it's got class from yes it does but it's the story is it's these [ __ ] delinquents on what do they call it when you they send convicted child criminals out to just do cleanup Duty on the weekends and whatever public service or community service whatever and they all get they get struck by lightning they get super powers right it's [ __ ] great it's great Four Seasons first two seasons are very very good then they have a bit of a cast rotation and it kind of changes up a bit it's not as good but still still worth watching
okay right it's so good I've got one more piece of followup that I do want to talk about because I'm very confused by it can you please explain to me what this is why trailer did you watch the trailer did not watch the trailer I didn't realize it was a trailer so ancient can't even talk ancient apocalypse which I actually thought was canel oh really yeah I I thought I thought it wasn't I thought it was quite a lot of clearly it did I was say I don't know how much Bank Netflix makes based on stuff but it got a lot of well I've I've heard Netflix doesn't still hasn't figured out how to make money on um but uh season two back turns out if your kid is the head of programming it's pretty easy to get another season
going well even then I don't know um but uh there's a guest star this season I'm so confused by this so famous renowned archaeologist Keanu Reeves is in season actual archaeologists won't be on this show that's true that's true cuz the ones that got tricked into being in the first season yeah definitely not going to be in the second seene I've watched an actual archaeologist debate uh gra Hancock on Joe Rogan and that was fantastic Flint dble Flint dible is is great and it really bums me out he is odd but I thought it went really well and was kind of quite uh despite gra
mok's efforts to make it more kind of dramatic it wasn't very dramatic it was very good and interesting but then afterwards gra Hancock's sharing stuff about how Flint dibble's a con artist and stuff and it's just gone it's gone all weird on him again it's just like why are you doing this yeah it was a great debate actually I thought it was quite good and the only thing that annoyed me was was Joe Rogan really I was like stay out of it let these two talk you don't know anything um because because he'd say say something oh with the age of the Earth blah blah blah and Joe ran would be like do we know what the age of the Earth is I'm like don't Stoke this fire stay out of it mate here's the thing cuz I look I I went through a phase when I was about
20 where I read everything that graem hanok wrote and Von danan and all of those guys because I thought I found and I still to to this day find fascinating that that that there are mysteries from the ancient past right sure but the thing is every archaeologist will tell you yes there's Mysteries yes we find new things all the time and we always move the goalpost when we find new things we're not saying there couldn't possibly be stuff we we know there stuff we haven't found and we used to think humans were only 50,000 years old then we thought 100,000 now we think a million like we find a new fossil and we change it Graeme Hancock if he keeps looking he might very well find something he's not going to find Atlantis but he might find something and
he's going to be all [ __ ] told you so and they're going to be like right we didn't say you were wrong we just said you've come up you've made up your mind before you found the things we dig and then find something and then analyze it that's Arch you have come up with a theory and now you're going to try to find proof of it and he constantly walks things back too like he's this whole thing about them having magic powers and stuff he's like I never said that you [ __ ] did say that B books about it he never mentions aliens anymore either and and he did yeah and it's just now he just says no no no very smart white people yeah that's right thousands of years ago not these Savages yeah taught the Mayans how to build yeah it's
like that map right there's the map that he shows where it's got like South America comes down yeah and it it comes around this way he's oh that's Antarctica and it's like is it Antarctica or is it it could be Australia they ran out of paper so they kept drawing the coastline this way and then they wrote on it here's where the [ __ ] snakes are right you think that's Antarctica or do you think that's South America where the snakes how could they could they possibly have known about it yeah mate if you look it but even little things like um you know when it's like oh the the pyramids line up to the Stars sure they do if you ignore some pyramids and most of the Stars right it's just it's just Fuzzy Math yeah okay so do we know why Keanu Reeves
is in this I really tried to find out too I mean the article says he's in it to boost numbers sure I don't get why he would agree to it and something ruse explains to Han in a brief Tut trailer how he's always felt the timeline was off which I'm must have Theory or something yeah I don't know I almost don't want to know right yeah cuz yeah K is not someone I thought would be entertaining this sort of yeah yeah but is out of context MH it seems like he's talking about the big picture where he might ask keano about one very specific temple in China where Keanu visited once you know what I mean like we don't know yeah look I love K Reeves but I was obviously being factious when
I said he was a ren archaeologist I'm not convinced he knows anything there's no reason for me to think that he does so he could just be a fan of gram H because the show is very compelling super compelling it's beautifully made yeah stunning photography and I had I not so I I the way I watched ancient apocalypse I I talked about this at the time is I watched it because I had a companion YouTube series that I was interested in about the actual kind of his TR facts and whatever and so so I had the benefit of watching the show watching an episode of the show then watching a YouTube video that was explained to me why the show was hor [ __ ] and then but like you didn't have that it is compelling cuz I watch the episode and I go oh what about this what
about this and then the YouTube video would explain it and I go oh okay which is I I think it would be better if he just dialed down the archaeologist don't want me to tell you this like mate they don't want you to tell you this because you're undermining their [ __ ] no one actually like you're not saying anything factual enough to even have them argue against you yes they don't get paid enough to give a [ __ ] about this other than the fact that you're just full of nonsense here's the thing I think these these kind of things are quite dangerous cuz they are compelling and then people instantly believe this cuz I saw this and then it starts to undermine other things as well I believed everything I've read in these books I was like [ __ ]
mainstream archaeology all wrong and I've seen Milo Rossy the Milo Minute Man on YouTube he's like a he's a young kind of archaeologist who does really good YouTube content and he was talking about how turn your Xbox off downloading telling me it's turning off he's gotten called out cuz he said before that he thinks it's all very racist and people said oh gr Han's not racist and he's like well look the stuff that he's referencing is racist like there is there are works that he quotes and he refer that are literally just white supremacist texts so if he's not do he just not know that how does he not know that like you know prove me wrong basically I mean even just it's problematic even just saying I think Europeans might have built all the stuff
in South America and Africa Asia problematic even if it's not racist per se it's problematic Sur they couldn't have built this stuff Sam Harris they [ __ ] there it's there we know they did it's [ __ ] proof it's [ __ ] right there they did build it they did build it yeah they absolutely did um mate watching my daughter build with she's got these magnetic blocks she builds structures that I'm like how did you know that that inverted shape went there to reinforce the like she just figures it out you know what I mean like I believe that smart people you know they had the same brains as us they just what happened long thousands of years to figure things out that and it's not like we found like pyramids fully formed there's pyramids that just go like this
first there's pyramid that goes like this and then like this you know like there's shitty pyramids as well like people yeah people forget in Egypt in particular there are thousands of thousands of py they w't built at the same time no they were literally built the oldest ones thousands of years apart and it's like oh why is this pyramid so different because it was built four [ __ ] thousand years later yeah yeah longer ago to that pyramid than this pyramid is to us yes and the pyramids you see aren't actually what they look like when they were built no that's true the great parents actually have were smooth but they step because they stole all the sh of them to build the wall allegedly obsidian yeah on the top or something right oh yeah or whatever yeah
different different ones well we don't know right because it's just from texts that are [ __ ] who knows what the we can barely read anyway but just quickly it's still relevant to scale back to Sam Harris was talking about how you can only take for Grant certain things if you're not kind of opening the Pandora's Box in other words you can assume someone thinks Hitler is bad and the Holocaust happened and it was bad in normal conversation but if you start saying that Hitler was actually quite a good artist you are then it is your responsibility to follow that up with not that I condone his due killing you know like and it's it's that same thing too it's it's I can't remember why we were talking about before but it's relevant here with hanock as well it's
like if you're going to make these big statements about how everything was built by white people if you're not a racist you then have to back that up it is on you now to back that up about why why that's not a racist if you're going to use a quote from a text that the Nazis also used as evidence of things you do need to kind of do a bit more explaining as to why don't leave it at that don't just quote the part that you like and then not explain why else was looking for Atlantis yeah yeah yeah it's not a joke that was the plan postwar was to go find it yeah yeah yeah all right anyway Dan I have a question for you are you excited for packs I am excited got my tiet right here right here in front of
me cuz it's we've only got like three weeks yeah it's very soon start I'm looking for I'm looking forward to bucker shock I'm looking forward to Quail on stick mhm and I'm looking forward to packs these are all games that are coming out of packs are they playing ball games I'm looking forward to I'm going to go to the gaming went old panel again that's a fun one to go to because they talk about you go there meet people who probably will talk about Amigas and commodor and yeah right yeah awesome there's also another one gaming with disability which I'm looking forward to too but no it's getting close and I'm getting excited hi my wheelchair oh excellent it's a lot of walking are you cosplaying this year I
you I'll probably just I'll probably just throw my babyon 5 outfit one day yeah yeah maybe a princess layer we'll see you have to walk around with me I'm jealous I wish I was going yeah I wish East obviously but next year but you guys I have tickets to that as well actually when's that one I can't remember go up I should go up for that make a day of it or two days but yeah should yeah it's a long way to go for one day oh yeah but the comicons here are not yeah yeah no well I don't mean go up to the Comic Con for two days I mean yeah go up to see you for two days and go to Singapore ComiCon every year and I think the longest I spent was an hour and a half and I was
like I have seen and done everything here but the thing you need to with when get a pack it's the panels is you need to go to see more panels and yeah that's where yeah yeah yeah you get out of it what you put in really yeah if you just want to look around the yeah yeah you just want to look on the floor you can do that in a day do a lap and yeah then you're like oh what is that no no you got to pace yourself you got to watch things y yeah so I think they've got the the app out now so have a look at the m and or Jerry coming or do they just not do Jerry probably Mike doesn't anymore yeah so he'll do like the Seattle one packs West they call it now yeah but I don't think he does he doesn't he doesn't like to travel especially to Australia I think
so yeah it's a long way for but Jerry usually goes yeah yeah I don't know why I'm glad we went when they were both still attending yeah yeah Mike doesn't even come to East anymore last time I saw him he was on a robot he was a robot there was a robot mic at oh that's right yeah yeah because he wasn't going to come anymore so yeah speak I I still did say hi to both of them he was just yeah on a TV screen yeah um I saw this and there's not much of a story here except that just um scientists put robot legs on a mushroom and it learned to walk there's got to be more to it than that hasn't there there's more they they taught it to walk it didn't just go finally but stop eating us [ __ ] off but they have something of a
brain right and so mushrooms do yeah and so scientists reckon that this is the first step into some kind of biomechanics I didn't mean that some kind of like biomechanics using brains from plants that have brains of of some kind of or another sort of scary cuz mushrooms grow very quickly looks already looking at the big picture consequences of this of how quickly they could outnumber us my celium is able to produce natural electrical signals which responds to huh but I'm looking at the size of his legs that put on it's huge God something else I'm not going to be able to eat now yeah yeah but once they finally teach it to talk and it's like please stop yeah all right just the
fish then yeah just eat them until they they're like I could put legs on a like please don't I need some kind of protein you these fungal brains respond to navigate more unpredictable environments navigate unpredictable environments what is this where are mushrooms traveling that are unpredictable unpredictable they've never had legs before we'll find out where they want to go we will find out yeah it's like that robot m cop that they made and it became sentient realized in the fountain and then killed itself not just once with a killed itself again yeah [ __ ] well maybe we don't to worry yeah I
know right this this quote this uh comment on the article the labor party have been doing this for years except they use cabbages instead of mushrooms what does that even mean I think it means they they people who vote for the labor party right who' have thought clever mushrooms not long before they put them in metropolitan police uniforms everyone [ __ ] personal act grind that they are trying to just wedge into here no that's good yeah I'm interested in that hey uh this is a funny one I saw this week Cards Against Humanity are suing SpaceX yes because and this is actually legitimate yeah I read into this too I was like I didn't know this back in
2017 they did a a crowdfunding campaign Cards Against Humanity to buy a plot of land on the southern border to make it difficult for Donald Trump to build the wall between America and Mexico right and they took $15 donations raised the money bought the plot of land and then it's just been sat there then they were thinking well that's that's that then right yep yeah but apparently SpaceX has just dumped a bunch of [ __ ] on there and been using it for like construction or something and uh so now they're suing them saying you didn't ask permission to use our land and SpaceX replied and said do you want to sell it and they said no we'll do this instead so partially for entertainment value so they're suing them and they've said that if they win
everybody who donated $15 gets their money back will get $100 from the that's awesome yeah yeah except what if he what if Elon then send sells it back to Trump and he builds the war well well they're not selling it to them yeah right they they'll have to get off it because they they've got photos in here too this is what it looked like when they bought it and then now they've gone down there and this is what it looks like now and come down there and [ __ ] SpaceX is there they've just done all this [ __ ] I heard all about this wall and I'd never been to Mexico and then I went to Mexico in 2018 just a there is a wall and there is a wall know yeah and I said to my friends who were down there I was
like oh so there is a wall and they're like yeah but we put that up I was like oh okay they're like we don't want Americans just wandering in here every day cheap stuff and go back I understand what they did and the whole idea behind it but if the government wants the land I'll just take the land oh yeah of course it's not the government yeah this yeah I see what you're saying right right no no you're saying the yeah but it was a a gesture right yeah yeah but yeah I just I just like the goal of Space X just go this is bits empty we just start building [ __ ] on it I know but that's so musk isn't it and then when they sue him he's like I'll just buy buy yeah how much you want for it yeah you you you caught us I can't dislike him no matter no
matter what he does does he's so no no no I I don't like him but what I'm saying is he's just so entertaining and he's just so unashamedly himself that I couldn't make it through his book oh not his book but the what's his name I couldn't make his conversation with Dan Carlin I just keep getting I haven't heard that they had a conversation yeah there's an addendum episode where Dan Carlin has Elon on just to talk about World War II planes huh no I just keep only thing I really see from musk is I keep getting things on X or Twitter or whatever it is where he's posting stuff and it's just stuff he's posting isn't helpful no to the world no oh no no yeah yeah yeah he's reposting stuff that's adding fuel to fire yeah I don't know
what's going on there there's there's conspiracy conspiracy theory but the the there's I've heard accusations that when he bought Twitter he needed the money and he got the money from various places including people from countries other than America and now he's somewhat indebted you know correct indebted to various overseas entities not necessar I'm not necessarily saying like Russia or whatever but I think you know like the Saudis and and various places he's because he's been seen with them at events and stuff since then so it's kind of like again not saying I know I don't know anything about it but I've heard people say that's a bit but yeah I do like you do see photos where
he's invents in other countries at the Times where he's telling people they need to sleep in the office to do work and then he just get off over here for a game and go see this and yeah I sacked all the women because we we all know that women have other priorities out of the work yeah that's right yeah I wonder where that sentiment came from [ __ ] hell so anyway yeah you see um James May's um review of the Cyber truck I did I did I enjoyed that that was very enjoy see that basically I love because he he said at the end he said the only reason I've agreed to do this is because I can turn it into an ad for my gin and what we've decided to do is just see where I can put the Gin on the Cyber truck before and it won't slide off but it was interesting that when had his ruler out
and he was like he's like the reason cars have curves is so is because you can't make them perfectly so he's like this is supposed to be curvy but like let's zoom in there's a corner here and then the next corner is like SK is so obvious and I mean that was a criticism all Teslas have anyway of their build quality not being completely aligned think everyone's starting the golf Teslas I think and I think the only reason they were so big is they were the first yeah they were the first and they were and now it's just other competitors now who Mak and they look nicer yeah yeah I'm obsessed with the poar the beautiful [ __ ] lovely made by Volvo they're lovely they look like 80s spaceships
mhm I like the the hundes the electric hundes yeah comping byd which is I think a Chinese they're actually quite nice yeah right yeah yep they are nice hey there's also a Chinese company that bought the the badge the rights to use the mg badge and then they make kind of these like cheap family cars so if you see new cars that are MGS that it's just Chinese companies not to do with mg at all except that next year they're bringing out a roadster nice yeah I am very interested to see what they come up with this episode of multiple no gas brought to you by China just kidding China we're listening we're brought to you by our patreon where you can go and for as little as a dollar a month you can support the show get the episodes early get the video and the audio in your feed or for five bucks
