there for a reason so why not use them yeah no that's fair but you I mean are they the good ones or are they the the new ones that they give you no no it's the the one with speed in them E Yeah Yeah you got to give them your ID and all that kind of stuff I guess they probably know you with the yeah my chemist knows me yeah I figured walk go yeah a problem you have a rewards card for that for for your chemist um you should get one I don't actually spend that much in there right like they know me because of the painkillers I get but I'm not spending lots yeah yeah right cuz the government pays for it yeah it reminds me I need to book myself in for an appointment I need to go to the doctor next week you need need to get some uh before you come here yes I

need to get my prescriptions filled and I need to get a note from the doctor saying I'm allowed to walk around with it yeah don't do what you uh did last time not enough not have enough no I'm I'm planning for this time yeah for listeners who don't know Luke has a very very bad leg I'm actually bringing the wheelchair with me that's probably wise how are you I suppose they have to accommodate you on the plane don't they yeah yeah I I can they still just has put in storage and I just use my walking sck to walk on plane and stuff yeah but have you told them you're bringing it yes you need to tell them beforeand yeah I figured that's why I asked yeah I have remembered when I was booking I did it except I still don't know how I'm getting across the other side of the

country yet I've got myself to La yeah okay I have myself staying there for five nights yep that's it that's my whole trip planned at the moment so where are you staying over here on the East Coast I'll go back to that's by trip planned at the moment uhhuh I did send you I did send you a few options if you I don't no what what I'm looking at the moment is the plan now is we fly into La uhuh and then we're going to go to Washington for a few days oh okay Washington DC cuz y I liked it there y then we're going to go up to Boston stay there for about five nights yep then we're going to go to Rhode Island stay there for about three nights uhhuh and then we go to New York stay for about three nights and then we piss off out of your country fair enough what not my

country yet kind of is I've paid a deposit I haven't I haven't finished uh haven't finished all the payments yet ah I'm sure you'll get there well I learned some stuff I've got a few observations that I've made I've been here about a month now mhm and uh well in particular um in the last week or so we've been to a few concerts to see uh some bands we went and saw uh In This Moment Rob Zombie and corn how much were they to go see they were $20 uh which is a lot cheaper than I'm used to um I think the last time corn were here was it like over 100 yeah almost certainly yeah yeah uh I mean these were very uh bad seats I guess this is in a really really large like

Arena style you know yeah but in Australia our seat start at $100 right well well we had to set up the back you know everyone was smoking and but you know but 20 bucks whatever um so we went to that uh and then I we went and saw periphery uh which is a band I really like we saw them just a a little Club Paradise Rock Club in Boston any good scar punk bands FL around no well probably is that still a thing just uh yeah maybe I don't know at my music library Still Still is but yeah you're keeping it alive yep no I'll be honest I I I I haven't looked yeah I'm sorry Luke it's okay you've still got time before I get a couple things I've noticed um they do a thing here and I don't think we do it in Australia I've

never noticed it in Australia but at the big concerts like at the corn Rob Zombie concert M well everybody drives here you can't get to this place without driving yeah like there's no public transport to this place whereas in Sydney that's that's not a thing you would probably just catch the train right yes yeah that's how you would get there how you get home that's anyone's guess not always not always but I mean if you drove you would just park in one of the car parks in the city it could be the entertainment center or something like that this is in the middle of nowhere uh in Massachusetts it's called the Xfinity Center uh and it's got this enormous open car park right like just you know not not like a parking garage it's just open mhm car park and people do this

thing they call it tailgating and they do this at at all sorts of events apparently I've heard of tailgating where they go and have like barbecues and it's like a party beforehand yeah in the car park and there's like there's like hundreds of people well thousand there's like 10,000 at this thing but yeah so they they bring like a barbecue in the car and they set up tables and stuff out of the the back of the car and they have like a yeah they have a little party for like they get their hours before they did that for concerts I know they did it for the football like the NF NH NFL yeah right y yeah know they do it for this too well they probably just do it for everything I know that they do it for um for you know other sports and events and stuff too but uh yeah so that

that was really interesting it's pretty cool like I mean we we didn't it was just Jenner and I so we didn't didn't bother but um and I didn't even know about it and then we got there I said oh that's cool and she was like yeah we did all time yeah you wouldn't find that in Australia no I didn't didn't think I'd ever saw it Oh the closest you'd get is to like um baist you know the CES up on the mountain there there's just basically it's a camping area and there's just always people just barbecues parties and that type of thing happening on the mountain it's a real Bogan event though yeah right well they apparently they just do that everywhere here okay um yeah I guess cuz everyone's always got their car no offense to our Bogan listeners no from West City myself there

for the grace of God go you and I Luke mhm both from the r so all of us actually Dan as well y oh he's not here obviously oh yeah we haven't pointed that out he's uh Thailand Thailand yeah he got called away to I don't know probably got to film something for the prince of Thailand or something like that they have a prince right I thought it's a prince or an emperor uh it's a princer prin y yeah so another thing I noticed uh I've noticed noticed it in general but it was very obvious at the concert like I said where we sat everyone was smoking so you can still smoke um it was outside like it was okay or or the kind of there was a covered area down towards the stage and then as you got further back the seats

were outdoor was kind of not there was no ceiling and you can just smoke uh it did say please don't smoke but uh obviously no one gives a actually enforced it wasn't don't smoke please don't wasn't even remotely enforced uh which is fine you know I used to smoke but one thing I noticed uh and I guess I just haven't been exposed to this that much mhm is people who Vape you know vaping with MH right but like obnoxious amounts of vapor all right like isn't the whole idea of vaping it's this thing that doesn't sort of do a lot of but to minimize the amount that you see and have to use isn't it well I don't know is it cuz and I looked this up cuz I thought maybe it's just maybe I'm just not used to it and maybe that's just how vaping works but no apparently there are

you have lower power settings and you have like there are ways to adjust the amount of vapor and there are people they call it Cloud chasing there are people who who just um produce you know like I said obnoxious amounts so they're just being dicks is what you're saying well kind of like I kind of get it like it probably at home it does look cool uh but it's annoying when like everybody's doing it and like I mean they don't smell bad but it's not like you know I don't want to smell that constantly like your watermelon water vapor from the times I've tried it it's been sort of like it's been like less than when it was having a cigarette like you just suck back on it you blow something out but it sort of disappears by the time you finish exhaling and it's

gone that's not in this case this is just like waves and waves of it like coming at me from all angles and all these just different you know because it all different flavors and scents and and stuff it was annoying and I just I was like what the is with that and I looked up yeah apparently people people just they do that cuz they want to be a dragon I guess or something like that so don't do that PE listeners if you're out in public you know just I mean Vape obviously if you if you're addicted to nicotine but also apparently like people take up vaping just because these days instead of cigarettes well it's sort of the same thing it's just taking up cigarettes it's just a habit thing that looks cool and people do right and vaping now looks cool and

smoking's a bit God I miss it yeah but why is smoking a cuz it cuz it smells gross and and because you might die but like VAP VAP that shit's going to kill you as well like what the is in that don't you miss smoking every now and again not really no I still if I'm standing next to someone who's smoking I'll try like inhale a bit of what they're getting just I don't know I still like that smell really yep the fresh smell not the stale smell I'm one of those um like annoying exm smokers who's like G I don't want to smell that but like and it makes me think oh God I must have been annoying when I smoked cuz I was when I was a teenager in particular I was not a considerate smoker I was the guy it's like smoking in a restaurant before that

became illegal same because because you can't smell it when you smoke like it doesn't what a big deal now I'm like that is annoying and I'm I feel bad yeah like especially smoking around food like that something that I used to do and didn't think anything of it I actually was having this really nice Sushi meal when I was in Japan and a guy sat down and started smoking next to me and just ruined it yeah yeah that's what I was doing to everyone yeah and also and just just cuz you can technically Vape inside don't especially not if if you're at dinner or something like that cuz I I don't want to smell that while I'm eating like no it's like it sure it's not smoking but still you yeah don't do

it yeah it's not illegal you're still a yeah just go outside yeah it's cold out there that was the one thing I did notice when we were in the states La not a lot of smoking but when we went over the other side there's a lot more New York is really bad everyone Just Smokes on the sidewalk I noticed that a lot in Boston as well really okay I haven't noticed it lately I haven't I haven't been up there that much but but I why certainly at this concert I'm smoking and uh obviously another thing I noticed uh clearly the War on Drugs has failed here cuz that's not all they were smoking in fact like I I don't know whether it was just cuz it was outdoors and normally the shows I've been to in Australia they're all they've mostly been indoors except for like Soundwave

and stuff mhm uh but I mean there was way more weed smoke floating around than I've ever experienced at any concert is it legal there or uh almost certainly no okay I don't I don't I don't think so I don't know cuz I know there are some states where it is and some states where it's not you know what I didn't check that um weed legal in Massachusetts oh it is a possession of small amounts is has been decriminalized apparent okay same same as in can so if you can get busted and if you have enough for yourself it's a look don't do it go away and but if you've got I think it's more than four joints that's where you get in trouble for being a dealer I think I don't know I've never I've only

done it in high school and I didn't enjoy it but no me either I'm not yeah it's not not for me but I mean I don't care if other people want to do it though it's Sur surprised me because I was like standing there and then you know the first band started and I was I got a like a whiff of it and I was like haha someone's smoking a joint and then it's like and and okay I guess someone else is as well and and that's not it's not going away all right fine I guess I smell like that now so yeah been a long time since I've smelt that smell I think it means I'm getting old yeah yeah well it's been about a week for me now one other thing I've noticed well there's a couple more but this one I thought was particularly interesting and I it got brought up Jenna brought it up with some

people because I mentioned it to her and they were surprised that I oh well they were curious about how we do this in Australia people here stand really really close to the urinal like like really close they get right in there like is it just me cuz I don't do that no sort of step back a bit so you're not standing In Piss yeah right and I wondered if it's because uh like in Australia we always had those metal those long metal ones yeah we've always had the TRS cuz I was at like I said I first noticed it at the at the same show at the corn Rob Zombie show cuz I went into the into the bathroom or the restroom as they call it here and I lined up and I went to go uh you know like they're always busy at concerts so you you can't wait for a corner yeah as

generally people just wait for the corner cuz they don't want to be that guy that stands in the middle but these are all individual ones right so I go walk up and I'm like standing like you know where I would normally stand and then just out of the corner of my eye I noticed everyone's like right in there like cuz and they do have like they have like indent sections where it's like your legs could go but I don't want to stand that close no like things covered in Piss but everyone gets right in there and I was like strange thing about UR is everywhere everyone thinks that everyone else is trying to look at their dick yeah no one cares I I don't want yeah you could be pissing from the other side of the room and I I'm not going to look at your dick I'll be impressed that you

that you're able to do that but I'm not but just rise up look at the wall what I do I'm not interested in your dick no but yeah I was just so I was like huh I obviously I didn't want to be too obvious about it because then going to think oh he's look trying to look at my dick but no I'm just trying to I'm just I'm just taking in the uh in the difference of culture you just stand the back a little bit going yep I got a huge one I don't need to stand that close I was just up here I'm like wait a minute like out of the corner of my eye I noticed I'm like do they think I'm sneaking a peak and I'm like no everybody's doing it it's not just the guys next to me and then uh and then since then I've you know paid a little bit of attention I noticed that yeah

everybody does it they really really get right in there wow yeah like to me dangerously close and uh yeah I just wanted if I don't know if you'd noticed that maybe uh keep an eye out when you're here I will I'll do some reviews of the toilets and how people use them while I'm there cuz I said to you know how there's that there's the joke that you don't talk at the urinal right but in Australia you do like yeah especially if you're out drinking especially if you're out drinking yeah you have a chat not here in fact um when then cuz like I said I mentioned this to Jenna and then she mentioned it to some people and they were like oh you just have a little chat

at the urinal Australia do you and I was like uh yeah sometimes like having a good night yeah hey how are you yeah no not here okay not here you don't you don't do that you you jam yourself into the you don't you don't speak yeah I thought that was interesting cuz I know that they don't have the troughs that we do which we've just grown up with and are everywhere yeah the long metal ones right yeah the long metal ones where that you can fit like a lot of people and you can stand shoulder to shoulder yeah and you can't I mean you can't get that too close to that cuz you literally have to stand in the piss yeah so like there'll be sometimes there'll be the ones where there'll be sort of a great you don't

stand on that great yep cuz that great is where no you don't it's for people who pissing on their shoes pretty much so you stand back a step from that y yeah exactly on the on the tiles on the tiles that's where you stand yeah I mean I think the great was intended for people to stand on but that yeah people piss on that I'm standing at that yeah because the other people who don't want to stand on it are pissing on it exactly yeah all those fails just go to the cubicle yeah so if we have any listeners here I know that we do uh if we have any listeners here who don't know me personally cuz I've probably already told you about this if you if you know me um yeah like if if we're ever at uh in in the restroom together

I am apparently uh allergic to the mosquitoes up here oh that's not good so zika virus uh no they don't have that up here at all um there are no there are no mosquitoes in Rhode Island that carry any of that but uh it is a different species apparently to the Australian mosquito which I've never ever been bothered by mosquitoes like I've never had to put insect repellent or any of that crap on they don't like my blood yeah well that's what I thought uh here these ones love it massacred me I got like bites that all over my legs like as I'm not joking like like five or six really close together in like patches all over my legs and they're like my ankles like

swelled up damn I take antihistamines yeah I know so I guess I just use spray now yeah that's now your life yep slathered in it right now no I'm not inside yeah but at least Summer's almost over for you that's right and they'll all die so just remember that yeah Vengeance will be mine yeah it's starting to get cold actually it's quite cold today apparently there's a hurricane nearby oh okay is that something you have to worry about now uh it is yeah actually okay um I mean I don't have to worry too much people who live closer to the water than I do probably do mhm but I mean I do have to worry a little bit okay I'll get wet oh yeah that doesn't sounds nice that's why I don't leave the house yeah right I don't I don't often either so those are

crutches I would actually have a seat in the shower with me all right well be very care be very careful because uh what's happened is uh and there's a picture of the stooling question in the article uh it's got uh you know some some holes for I guess for ventilation when you're sitting is that where they put holes in these things I have no idea why they put holes in seats it must be just artistic well in this case maybe they put them there to um to capture your testicles because what's happened is he he's gotten in the shower and he sat down and uh at some point uh his one of his testicles has dangled down through one of the holes and from the heat of the shower power has caused them to you know expand and swell a little bit cuz they they they do

that and uh and he got stuck he got stuck uh with a testicle through the hole of the Soul uh and he did eventually um using cold water you know so yeah just extract himself they they are quite big holes I guess he's got big balls yeah maybe maybe it's the same guy ah it could be cuz yeah like I'm looking at that hole and I'm is it just the angle cuz it looks as big as the drain yeah yeah you're right well like he he posted this on uh on the Ikea Facebook uh as you do not not quite a complaint I guess but just you know a warning yep and they responded and said hey class we recommend that you take

that stool out of the shower or that you sit on it with the right uniform on and in the right setting uh it's translated obviously y uh if you choose to keep it in the shower make sure you're well dressed for your next SEA Excursion so so they trying to be fun with it but I think I hope maybe it's just Lost in Translation cuz cuz you don't think that's very funny no oh sorry Ikea nice try you tried you've not you've not amused Luke no he later shared a picture on Facebook of the stool with its new accessory a washcloth that he places over it to block the holes I think he just gets off on sitting on elephant's faces who

doesn't oh dear H be careful Luke I haven't needed to use a stool in the shower for a while but I will keep that in mind no holes just we should do some video game related stuff so we're uh you know we're a nerdy podcast we talk about video games and stuff we haven't done that yet yeah well we could definitely do that do you play Ark no okay I know what it is it's got dinosaurs in it yeah yeah dinosaurs and you build it's like a it's one of these millions of games that have come out like seven days to die and things like that where I I know I feel they're just taking off from where Minecraft sort of finishes yeah like survival construction kind of thing yeah make it a bit more like realistic I know it's sort of weird to say that when there's dinosaurs

but yeah well dinosaurs were real yeah yeah but they're like you mean like not not pixelated blocks yeah yeah well I know it's been in Early Access for God knows how long now yeah it's been out a while right well it's not it's early access so it's not hasn't had its release yet yes right but what's just recently happened is the developers come out and gone game's not out yet but here's some paid DLC for you yeah right that's not on no like yeah so that's a little strange actually our game's not finished and we're still working on it so we're not going to release the actual game but give us more money yeah that's weird how how did they justify that decision well what the developers come out and said he said look we were always

planning to release the DLC together with at around the same time we release the actual game so we went why did the we might as well just release it now which right I understand if they didn't turn around and went Arc now goes Arc survival evolve is now released in a month's time or something right like if they had a date that they're ready to go live but they still haven't yeah I think if you if your game is in Early Access as in it's not out yet and you make DLC that's not DLC that's just the game and it seems to me like what what have they not finished if they're releasing DLC for it why are you working on DLC when I've given you money to work on the actual

game yeah I saw a thing related to this that said they apparently there was a big lawsuit um they were involved with uh over some sort of uh issue with the game uh and it chewed up a lot of money and people are saying this is an attempt to to try and get more money cuz they've um burnt through all the money they had with because of some lawsuit and uh I mean I understand that that sucks but like you should have been more transparent about it if that's true like they shouldn't have to sleuth that out you could have just said we're out of money um okay this lawsuit has killed us um there's nothing we can do yeah yeah I don't know it seems obvious to me this would have been a bad

idea honestly I actually think it is because they need money yeah but it's sort of is I can understand like it is a kick in the face to all the people who are waiting on the actual game yeah yeah it's like how long have they been working on that instead of working on the actual game yeah exactly like like if this DLC is not part of the game proper how long have you been working on that yeah like if you've been working on that if you've been working so much to make a DLC pack that you could sell then this game you should have actually finished the real game months ago then it adds a dragon to the game uh and is that it oh it adds lots of stuff like it is a from what I've seen of it it is a decent

DLC pack it's not just nothing but yeah but that's like it's not DLC if the game's not finished no yeah it's weird well yeah I know it's it's odd it's a weird situation I think um I think really they need to have released the game they could have put this out yeah even just shortly after the game was released or something like that I think the mistake they've made is well even if they had have like they need the money now but the game's close been released so they went look we get this cash injection now and then we'll get the game out the next month or two if they were able to give an exact date like we're going live here we're releasing this is it I don't think the backlash would be as bad but there's still no date for this game coming out

yeah they say here it started out as a shining example of how to do Early Access y uh it ended up a complete disaster after the developer went off on an adventure of making free-to-play spin-off Arc survival of the fittest console versions and paid expansions while the game was still in Early Access no wonder the game is so behind schedule yeah cuz it recently came out in the Xbox One and things and two years it's been they've just been it's been in early access for 2 years like man oh no wait wait that's not true they've been making it they've been working on it for 2 years it launched in Early Access in June 2015 so it's been over a year yeah Early Access can work but I don't think he can be parallel

development for different consoles and things like that you just need to pick one go with it and then build from there yeah yeah I agree with this this comment here that someone said Early Access gam shouldn't be allowed to have paid DLC I kind of agree with that I think Steam and who well you can do it on the Xbox now you can get um they don't call it early access right they call it previews yeah game previews I think it is yeah yeah which I need to get rid of it from consoles it's not a console thing yeah Early Access game previews whatever you want to call it it's definitely a PC thing cuz that um uh we happy few is available uh early on the

Xbox and um someone my friend he is playing it uh and said it's pretty good but you know there's gaps and stuff because it's not finished I'm like I don't want to play it then I don't think I think I'm done with Early Access stuff yeah I I'm I'm over it we talking about last week with like Starbound like evidently starbound's a completely different game what is a game now yeah right yeah it was kind of a Sandbox before and now it's now it's something different um yeah I don't think I have time for enough time for games to to be farting about in one that's not finished cuz I'm not going to be able I'm not going to have time to play it again when it is finished no give me a full game and plus the game previews also don't have achievements

so not wasting my time on it no I can't imagine you would well there you go uh don't um don't try and release DLC when your game's not finished no I had a weird experience with my Xbox yesterday is it consensual no it was not I did not consent to this oh I uh I I thought I'll play some Fallout 4 cuz we've been talking about it on the podcast and Dan's obsessed with it y still I thought I'll pop it in and have a have a go the Xbox that we have here is Jenna's mine CU hers has a bigger hard drive mine's on a ship on its way to America still with all other stuff but I didn't I installed Fallout 4 on it she she hates those games she hates Elder Scrolls and good games the Fullers I thought I'll play some Fallout 4 I put the disc in

right like I I've played the game on this console before I know I have yeah I put the disc in and it went installing Fallout 4 yep so okay that's weird like why is it installing it's already installed so I went and had a look in um my apps and games yep Fallout 4 is in there and then now another Fallout 4 is in there says installing I was like all right I'll let it sit and figure that out and I'll play something else in the meantime so I think I played some Doom cuz I have that digitally didn't need disc mhm played some Doom jump back out later went back into my apps and games yep there's two of them in there two two Fallout fours right one right next to each other so I went and had a look at the you know you can view the details yep yeah two two

seemingly two full installs taking up hard drive space so I was like all right let let's see how this see how this works launch the game uh none of my saves were available it said you know start new game that was all so you can force it to sink I think I started to get a bit worried mhm um well I don't want to taken up all that room on the Xbox anyway yep like cuz it's like 30 40 gig as it is so now it's taking up 80 so what I did was actually just I just uninstalled I I hit uninstall on one and they both vanished and then I looked and the dis usage had had indicated that they had both been removed yep like 80 gig was free freed up so then I installed it again and uh which takes ages

that game takes so long to install and now everything's fine yeah cuz it's not just installing it's got to install and then it has to apply all the updates yeah that's right yeah but I mean I wor weird yeah yeah it was it was really really strange like I could understand if maybe it got confused and was trying to install maybe the US version or somehow or something but no I haven't switched my account over yet oh then yeah that makes no sense have you switched your Xbox over yet no I haven't it's actually even on at the time on it's wrong it still thinks it's in Australia I don't get a lot of time to play and so I don't want to risk having to around I turn it on and I play a game and then I I'm like oh yeah I

should do that uh I'll do it later you know it takes like two minutes what do I do you go into settings uhhuh you go to settings and then hold on where's my controller I don't know hold on I just got to reach it okay I'm back I have controller you go in you go to settings uh-huh you go to all settings uhhuh you wait for it to load you go down to system and language and location right okay then you change your uh location to wherever you are and you restart the console done oh all right you will have to mess around though with your accounts at some point though what does that mean well you're going to have to move your account from Australia to us so you can actually use oh no you might not have to if you just

change your console cuz you'll have like a American credit card now to pay with well you have like an American account to pay with no no no I I can't have one of those yet okay that's why that's why I haven't bothered yeah cuz you need to do that so you can do it but CU once you change it over your choice of games gets a lot bigger really like a lot bigger okay yeah I can't have a bank account or a credit card or anything here just yet cuz of my my stuff's not finalized ah it's not terribly interesting so I haven't bothered to mention it on the podcast yeah I called a lot of banks and they all said no not yet got to have a Social Security number which I do not which I can understand that they want to make sure you exist in your

person and uh they can track you down someday yeah yeah good point I could probably use Jenna's credit card oh you can just buy um gift cards there you go oh yeah I'll go to Walmart or something and buy gift cards yeah games are cheaper here although with the exchange rate they're not really like if I go buy a game it looks like it's cheaper cuz they're like 60 bucks yeah brand new but then with the exchange rate it's still like 80 or 90 yeah like they are a little bit cheaper but not as cheap as we thought they were no and EV I mean eventually when I when all my stuff my money is here and everything maybe they'll work out less expensive but right now they don't cuz I'm paying Australian dollars anyway yeah so $60 game in Australia at the moment would

cost let me just convert you letting me stupid Google I really want to know now so I was thinking about buying games while I was there because um I mean I did buy I did buy alien isolation for like $10 that was just secondhand was it or nope oh wow it was just on the Shelf at Walmart said 10 bucks and I was like huh all right can argue with that and one day you actually play it yeah one day I've been thinking about playing that for ages I've started I played the first part and then just stopped yeah well we we've talked about this I started playing it but I had been playing The Witcher 3 and I'd paused Witcher 3 to play this and I was like nope Witcher 3 which reminds me I have the DLC to play through in that now so putting it

off cuz I know as soon as I start it I'll I'll be like I'll be a I'm thinking about buying that game again what like the Game of the Year Edition yep is that because you get new achievements with that version or some exactly for some reason the Game of the Year Edition has different achievements well same achievements just you get them again for the game of the year version it's ridiculous but is that always the case no it's normally a game of the Edition is just here's the game then here's all the DLC that came out with it away you go but this one it's it's own entity H so I wouldn't mind playing that through that again one day so yeah all right found out $60 us is about $79 Australian at the moment yeah okay yeah so you know if I can find some cheap

games while I'm there I will buy them because the Xbox On's aren't region locked or anything yeah no that's right I can confirm that cuz I uh yeah I bought alien isolation here and it works fine mhm I tested it thank you no problem Jenner and I went to a screening of uh Rob Zombie new film 31 MH um I won't say too much about it because we're going to review it on necronom but I will say you should check out necronom by going to multiple orgasm.com necronom or search for it on iTunes uh and we talk about horror movies and the inspiration behind them the most recent one we did was Texas Chainsaw Massacre and and then we talked about the original or the Remake the original okay and uh and we talked about

Edan the um the uh guy from Wisconsin who uh famously made little suits out of women because he wanted to be a woman nothing nothing wrong with that no each to their own I'm not going to judge it's not my place yeah so we watched uh we saw the new Rob Zombie film uh it was pretty good um check it out if you can you probably can't in Australia I doubt it's going to end up in cinemas in Australia no nothing comes out Cinemas here no so you might have to check it out in Italy but if you like his films it's pretty good it was the most Rob Zombie of his films there's not really anything uh he they they showed like this Q&A with him

afterwards uh and he even said himself he's not trying to make any statements or anything it's it is what it is it's a horror SL exploitation film so yeah there's no underlying theme it's just I wanted to make a cool movie and I did that's right which is what it should be yes now I I want to I want to ask you this uh it says in here that you started watching stranger things uh I'm I'm a little upset that Dan's not here because I know that he's probably going to want to ask you about this so um you know but he can comment maybe next time yep uh what do you think I'm enjoying it so far one thing I absolutely love is the opening music to it cuz it is so 80s yeah everyone loves that I've been hearing it um people just listening to it around and then we went saw when we saw

periphery um they played it after you know when the the band's all finished and they put the lights back on and they played The Stranger Things theme music me laugh I'm only about four episodes in we're sort of me and H are watching sort of one on night yeah and yeah I enjoy have you heard they getting a season two yeah yeah it's uh confirmed and they've actually released the strangely uh the the titles of all the episodes H and they've actually also confirmed when it's going to be set originally they were talking about about it and it was going to be set in the '90s right but now that it going it's a year after the first season okay which is probably just to explain the kids getting older if they live I don't know y

well I'm not going to spoil anything yeah I'm pretty sure some those sweet sweet child deaths but I keep calling things though it is I'm find it a little predictable yeah right yeah I mean it's it is derivative uh of you know lots of things but I think in a good way no I'm enjoying it and I'll continue to watch it it'll take me a while but cool CU just whenever I get a night three and we can sit down and watch it we'll watch one episode right well I've been watching something as well uh something that it's been around for a little while uh probably probably heard of it uh may have even seen it before yourself I don't know it's uh Five Star Trek oh Star Trek the Next

Generation I just I don't know for some reason it cuz it's on Netflix here uh I had started watching the original series uh and then for some reason I don't know I was like I really want to watch next Generation again actually and these are the they they remastered them and then tided up all the special effects and stuff and uh and I don't know I think it really holds up actually considering cuz I remember I I watched you know like a bunch of them when they first came out uh I don't think I've watched every episode but I watched it quite a bit and uh and I remember being fine but then later on I obtained from Italy uh the whole series and I guess they just weren't very good quality and I remember trying to watch it and being like I

can't watch it's too hokey like cuz I remember I saw an episode that long ago and I just went this is dated horribly and I actually thought that the original series dated better well maybe it's just that I I don't know maybe I'm I'm blinded to it somehow but for me I watching I'm watching season one of it and I'm like no this holds up so I don't know maybe it's uh just Nostalgia but I actually watched couple episodes of sequest dsv the other week oh my God Jonathan Brandis yep before he killed himself yeah rest in peace not a could awake he did it too early no no no yeah probably probably had AIDS though

just sticking with the Sea theme now were we meant to discuss board games yeah somebody asked uh if we could review Carl actually listen to Carl hey Carl hi Carl if we could um could discuss board games and so I don't want to overdo it this week so I thought maybe we could just choose one uh that we have played maybe recently uh and discuss it a bit and give a bit give a bit of of a review okay think we can do that have you been playing something of late I'm board games board games I've been I've been skipping out in the ball game group for a while what was the last one I played what about you what's the last thing you played well I played uh just the other day uh it actually it was a Kickstarter uh and it took a few years to to come out I

believe uh my a friend of mine got it uh it's called Planet defiant and it's kind of like an like a role playing um board game where you have they preset characters but they kind of you know level up as you go along you get more powers and and things uh and the the basically the story is you crash landed on a planet uh and you've got to survive uh there all these different aliens there are beta aliens Alpha aliens and Omega aliens uh and they get progressively more powerful um and there are a bunch of areas on the map and you've got to um travel around try and find parts to either call for a rescue ship or fix your ship and uh and survive okay so I'm just having a look now actually on the kickstarter page I found it now it's this one of these

games where you sort of it's a co-op game where you play with people and then the board does its own thing or is it yeah so every round and then depending on on what happens like uh cuz you you end up in an area and then you read a story card for that area and either that'll say you've got to fight something or every round a bunch of monsters will uh spawn and you have to fight them if they're in your area and stuff yeah so the it's the game is trying to kill you and you and your friends have to survive yep I've played um games like that before like um black plague and I can't remember the other ones at the moment I'm drawing complete BL yeah well I mean it was a lot of fun we had a lot of fun it took it it's very long I think probably not as long once

we got the rules figured out but it did take us all day um to to kind of progress and we didn't we didn't end up completely finishing and but and we'd been doing some stuff wrong so I think maybe it would have gone quicker if we you know that's the thing it's always hard when playing a new game where yeah you you think you're playing it right and then you go oh no we should have been doing this the entire time and it would have been a completely different experience there was a game I just played recently what's that eclipse eclipse okay yep I played a nplayer game of eclipse and this is a game that takes a long time it's about the they sort of say it takes about half an hour per person a turn uh the entire game oh right I see

so we had I say me and but the thing is we had a lot of new people playing so it did take us a little bit longer as well and right eclipse is you you're an alien race and you want to uh get the most victory points at the end so you sort of want to expand out colonize planets attack other people you form alliances and things like that it's a really fun game but it's a very long game so we don't get play it very often but definitely I would recommend eclipse eclipse all right the way it works is you sort of got the board is actually made up of like um octagon cards and you basically when you expand you turn one over and you go okay I'm putting this here and I'm going to go that way

sometimes there'll be an alien race there that you have to fight before you can go in other times you can just walk in mhm um each turn you can sort of do different things you can explore you can build ships you can research and each round new research comes out and you got to but it's also a resource game right so as you're doing all these things where you explore or you research something that costs you to do but then at the end of the turn you have to make sure you can pay for it all and you get energy to pay for things by exploring and taking over planets mhm cool and did you win I would have won except I Allied myself with someone who lost ah the way it works if you

Ally um it's your score divided by the man of people in your alliance oh okay so um we got to a point in the game where I may have I was being nice with people and then I tried to completely destroy someone and it backfired uhhuh yeah sounds like and then I had no defenses whatever and so I quickly had to neate some alliances to keep me alive uhhuh and okay cool while I by myself I had the points to win outright as the alliance they had one person had like half my score so meant nothing right is that cuz you tried to murder them at some point yes yeah yeah well sounds like it's your fault yeah but I will try and review a game that I know you own and I own but I haven't

played yet Star Wars carcassone oh yeah cool yeah yeah yeah uh I got that um just when we got here actually I haven't played it yet uh I should I should do that no I'll try and play it this week maybe we can discuss it next week yeah all right it adds extra to it it's not just kazone there dice rolling and stuff oh okay interesting well as you know I'm I'm awful at carcassone so uh yeah we'll see how I do it Star Wars kazone I just I just love Carone there's like see see I like I've only played it a couple of times but there is like there's a there is strategy to it but I just haven't bothered to consider that I just kind of like flip a tile and I go oh yeah I see where I want to put it whereas I know that you know I was putting tiles down when we played last

and you were like what are you doing there's only one of there's only one of those I'm oh I don't know how many tiles there are like I don't yeah that's the thing you get that tile about it that way what's that but the thing is like you you would set it up and a you can't do that like there's only one tile you can get down that it would complete that for you and then you'd get that tile well see there you go that's how I play I just wing it yeah I I don't know how many how many of each tile there are or any of that stuff no I I honestly don't know either um for people who play all the time and that is a big thing for tournaments and things is Carone yeah sure set ofat they're big things that people would know the exact number of tiles yeah yeah How likely it is

something's going to show up and no I just kind of wing it yeah it looks good go with it all right well that's our new segment uh board game reviews that's a that's not a very clever name no you think of another G you think of a better name what we call it Luke gets Bor we could do that as well cuz I know you like it when your name is in the segment title I kind of do yeah all right cool Corner crabs with too that was a good one yeah how about craps with like the game Oh I thought we're going to go to the casino or the toilet ah yeah all right well before we go because we've been talking for a little bit mhm um we have uh a patreon message to read out

bucks it's polish vodka too so not fair that would be over a 100 here yeah and uh yeah there's uh there's a lot of choices a lot of Gins you can get like a 2 lers of Gordon's gin for like I don't know 20 as well now I'm preparing myself for when I go over there this time about how to order a gin and tonic cuz me ordering Scotti Coke did not go down well just because of the pronunciation no it's because from what I've been told over there you need to ask for a brand not what you want so when I was drinking Scotch I should have been saying can I have a Johnny Walker

and Coke or right that's what I've been told anyway anyway okay remember every time I went scotch and Coke they go what do you mean right maybe it's because You' already had a few and you were slurring there's also that possibility yeah and your accent never refuse though no you were not you were not wait did we get kicked out of somewhere I don't think we did no we nearly got kicked out of one place but um oh no yeah uh we were in Boston during the pum crawl the second place went to the security guard wasn't going to let me in so everyone were with left and we went to the next place that's right that's right that's probably the murder [Laughter] Pub I saved us that night no I'm serious that's the thing right that the security guards won't let them back in that's how
