welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy okay I have a shocking confession to make oh go on interesting for the last I don't know five episodes yes I've been sober Jesus now to be clear your idea of sober is different to our idea of sober so when you say sober you mean just not drunk but you're still drinking well there was one episode where that was the case y but the others no alcohol but when you say no alcohol do you mean during the episode or just at all that day both

really that's very good wow what uh what brought that on um my trip to New York with you guys oh right remember the night we went out to saw the movie and then I blacked out yeah I remember do you remember no well you had like kind of an epiphany after that did you yeah I I've never wanted to be blackout drunk I've never been blackout drunk before and I did not like it oh that's right you've we've discussed that before too that you know you hadn't that hadn't happened before so you actually actually blacked out yes well I've got video of what you were doing up to a certain point but when you disappeared out into the city at night I I it's anyone's guess yeah yeah and i' be lying

if I said we weren't concerned about you just Luke completely drunk in New York well despite your assurances constantly that you're fine and you're you're just making friends and everything's cool we do worry about you mhm yeah it's always worked out well but yeah just getting the blackout just put me off so when I got back and I finished my dutyfree alcohol not wasting that yeah I then stopped drinking and then someone else brought me jyree alcohol and I drank that and now I'm trying to see if I can be social which is actually going to be scary everyone stop sending Luke dutyfree alcohol okay now I'm not not it's not for me to say what you can and can't do but uh if we're serious talk for a minute

um if it's anything like smoking for me you just have to not do it uh at all possibly forever or at least for a very long time cold turkey cuz I tried to go down the when I quit smoking I tried to do the social smoking thing and then start smoking again guys guys I'm smoking again for God's sake Dan yeah so cheap over there that's right you got to just not do it not do it forever it's the only cure for addiction is just not [ __ ] doing it anymore that's exactly I just can't cuz if I have one my brain's like this yeah even if I'm and even if you don't notice it it sucks your back in is smoking as stigmatized there Dan as it is yeah yeah the cool kids don't smoke okay oh that's good I guess isn't it you like you like

breaking them down don't you that's the problem you don't like the cool kids yeah that's right you like you like ruining their fun by lighting up in the middle of a partyone mind if I smoke and then say some of those phrases you've all been using I love how yeah that's what I was going to say like you're assuming that I get invited to cool parties which is a really big assumption on your part you spun your cap around backwards and snuck in yeah that's right oh that's good Luke keep it up I don't like it don't like what being sober well you're not used to it so it's strange and unusual we'll wait and see how it goes I uh I'm I'm back obviously oh sorry for missing a week how Vermont it it was really really awesome were we

correct did you um go on covered bridges and try jams uh yes there literally I did do those two things yes great I also tried a lot of uh apple cider and a lot of beer and a lot of cheese as well oh okay so but growing up I'm finding out I do like cheese oh yeah you didn't nice blue bitey cheese oh yeah oh yeah yeah that's good stuff so we also suggested that you might have gone to Martha's Vineyard which I've since realized is not in Vermont at all it's uh it's in Cape Cod Massachusetts so yeah you probably didn't probably didn't stop off there during your trip to uh no everyone talks about that place I've never been I assume at some point I will go there actually we talk someone them the other night one thing I did see on the way up

there I got excited cuz we're driving up there and I saw you know uh we have in Australia you have you know kangaroo signs to warn you that kangaroo might be trying to cross the road y uh here in this area we have a lot of deer Crossings which you probably saw when you were here cuz running the road H and when we get up north they have moose Crossings which I saw a sign had a b moose on it and I was like [ __ ] yeah I want to see a moose yeah and then next one bear Crossing wow and I was like [ __ ] yes I you see either of those two animals not a single one a so it's not like in CA then cuz in CA when you go past a kangaroo side you're going to see kangaroos yeah right you probably already hit very scary riding

home at like 1:00 in the morning from work and just kangaroo dropping out in front of you yeah yeah they're you know uh I was surprised cuz you know did a big trip all around this this big country uh didn't hit a single animal so oh that's great that's good how often do you hit animals as often as a can look for that to be amazing no just because you see the the results of that happening a lot on the roads that's all I'll say and uh and I I saw it so frequently that I was like [ __ ] you can't say that's all I'll say okay to to make something sound less dodgy all right fine you're driving around this you get to areas where where it's it's Remish like in in in America it's hard to be too remote in America but uh it Bel long stretches a straight road with

big red smears all over them from where from where you have been that's right from where I see carcasses though yeah oh yeah and that's that's what I'm saying I was just it there was so many of them that and I'm always like oh God and then I I believe I actually said to at one point if we can make it through this without hitting a deer I'll be very happy and we did well that's great CU apparently no one else can but we went to uh Burlington Vermont which is is a really really awesome town and uh if you guys when if you're back over here at some point we should go go have a trip up there cuz it's it's really awesome R you'd like it and on the way back we traveled through a town uh and it's a it's like a quarry is kind of the major feature of this

town right and if you were say you you you you're the mayor of this town right and you've got a quarry and you supply Granite to the rest of America right what would you name your town if what you that's you produce Granite Granite but but it's a town oh well Gran Granite Town Gran granon granitville oh yeah mhm so it's a village not a town sure oh right well it was at one point yeah yeah Granville made me laugh right well you know what you're going to get yeah that's right oh there's a lot of it around fing on the package driving through all the houses have Granite steps and I was like of course they do

made these myself y had just a bit of granite I found on the ground just everywhere you're in granitville I have an update as well uh cuz I said I was going to do an update on the Peter stuff that we talked about and I didn't oh yes let open the Peter files are they killing pets yeah they are yeah oh wow yeah so uh you can check Snopes um the the art there's one article in particular on Snopes which is are they kidnapping people's pets and uh euthanizing them the answer is yeah sometimes they are uh not all of them but uh but their beliefs are compatible with that happening and it does happen so yeah I mean in some cases they just urge you to spay a n to your pets you know uh MH and uh I've heard in some

extreme cases that yeah you're absolutely right they they feel that an animal is better off dead than domesticated better off dead than loved Yeah by you absolutely yeah I know Luke's got quite the managerie in his house now they know about that little tongue thing you bought and I'm not going to explain what it is for the new listeners yeah just leave say it's that that tongue thing you do to your cats yeah and all I'm going to say is I've seen a music it's less creepy it's less creepier than using the beard [Laughter] no oh 826 days what I've got an achievement a day

for the last 826 days wow [ __ ] that's a long time really is I got a [ __ ] ton of achievements yesterday because I started I just played a bunch of games I hadn't played yet like I started them I wanted to ask so you got the finally have time to play games achievement that's right I did just for one day and then not again for the next 12 months but you played uh some Wolfenstein and the New Order didn't you Dan yeah is that the one that came out for 360 uh about 3 years ago I think so uh it starts out with you in in a big uh you know Troop Carrier ship heading to death heads death heads Island to take him out there's I think Dan's probably played the first no that's not the one I played the one I played you start off in

a kind of facility and you've got to break out and I must say I didn't enjoy it it was just a little too on Rails a little too FPS oh it's you played the one that's just called w Stein I guess yeah yeah yeah okay cuz I was like confused cuz I I had bought it because I we played uh the some of the new one at um at E3 uh so I wanted to play this one or the the one on the Xbox One and then I've been really enjoying it I was like wonder why Dan didn't like this but that makes sense because it's a different game it's not the same game yeah but I'm glad to know that they picked up the uh picked up their act with the Wolfenstein games because I mean I [ __ ] love the old ones cuz I still don't think you're going to like it I am I didn't new one the story line um kind of they they

skipped over a lot of stuff and I was like oh does this follow on from the original game uh I it's a prequel isn't it to the first one which one are you talking about the New Order or the old blood I'm talking about the New Order I'm playing the the old blood is is a prequel I haven't I have them both I haven't played that one yet you think he any yeah you are talking about the same game the one that Dan didn't like you playing are you sure because apparently there is one just called Wolfenstein um wolfen new order came out in 2014 no PR sure that's the one yeah I don't know you were playing it uh when we lived in Orban Dan remember yeah when was that there one that came out in 2009 that's probably not it no yeah you might be right the new that's way too

old yeah but you don't break out of a prison in this maybe I just played it wrong maybe it is yeah cuz I remember sequence where you have to jump from one plane to another I remember you doing that actually the I don't think he's on the 360 so it probably is just Wolfenstein that 2009 one no I'm looking at a copy of Wolfenstein the New Order on 360 on Amazon so it exists well this is a mystery I guess we're not going to solve right now yeah no it's Wolfenstein New Order that's the one I bought that's the that's the one I played about a day of and then played no more maybe there was that I mean [ __ ] it it certainly didn't make an impression on me enough to even remember the full name of let alone do you yeah do you wake up in a mental hospital at one

point uh I no I did come 360 may you do maybe you do oh in the 60s right yes yeah yeah and at that point I thought it was going to be pretty cool yeah right it was sort of fun up to that stage and it was really cool and then it's just I don't know just it really turned into a shooter which is what Wolfenstein is yeah I guess so but I guess I just thought it hard shooter well I think he supposed to do a bit more stealth than maybe you did because I've been playing it stealth and I've been enjoying it but a stealth I don't have time for stealth anyway so I played a bit of that I played uh uh I got back into Skyrim because I bought the Xbox One version MH we all get into that trap yeah it's been long enough that I don't remember how

all the quests pan out yeah plus I I I found new Quest that I had no idea were there oh yeah so it's a it's very enjoyable playing it through another time plus all the DLC you get with it that we probably didn't get the first time around you know built myself a little house on a cliff near a lake it's beautiful oh yeah I gotta go I got to go to F cre and get my uh get my house do it I got a wife do something oh yeah yeah yeah do that again one of one of my kids is uh yeah I got a wife with tattoos this time pretty cool oh yeah yeah shoed around a bit more this time first girl you met in the game yeah that's right First first girl who impressed me yeah I mean that's what I did in real life so I figured second time around I wouldn't do it again we

all know how that banned out well uh speaking of no say speaking of Nazis I meant Wolfenstein not your ex-wife no no no no no I I see the parallels go ahead speaking of Nazis so uh this is back back in our home country of Australia uh Luke's current country as well uh but this is uh in Sydney Southwest um Campbell toown I believe so you know the uh the absolute height of uh culture and sophistication MH there's a uh there's a hair salon out there called strands of color right strands of color hair and beauty they're in Campell Town um this episode is not sponsored by STS of color oh God no they would really want themselves to be disassociated from the story as much as possible um they employed a model uh to be a hair model

for their uh official website to get uh her hair done in the various Styles uh and it was only when the pictures were all up online that people started noticing that she had a Nazi tattoo that was clearly visible in all the pictures why would you have this tattooed on you I know don't understand now it's not a swastika if that's what you're thinking it's uh it's the old kind of Prussian and it says mine fura so yeah it is worse like you could you can't even argue that that's ironic like no that's right you can't say no this is actually an old Sanskrit symbol means peace I can see like a hipster getting a swasti a tattoo and say it's just ironic because I hate I'm taking it back yeah yeah reclaiming the from no this just says m fur on the back of her neck yeah this

basically says I love Hitler that's so weird that someone in Campell town has that tattooed on their neck yeah and it's also so weird that nobody at uh yeah right strands of color hair and beauty had any problem with mine fura being tattooed on the back neck of a hair model well they might not have known if they didn't cross over it and they cuz it does it's not like it's in nice bold text or anything it's it's a little hard to read takes up all of her neck though they probably didn't know what it was what type of model gets that as a tattoo and expects to get work Nazi model hoping for Nazi work is there a lot of Nazi work out there I don't know Campell town is also pretty multi-racial I I would have thought that's one of the worst places

to have a uh to have a Nazi tattoo Australia in general to be honest yeah like yeah wouldn't want to be a Nazi well we don't know where the model's from no I like the the the strands of colors Facebook post says this is their follow up to it strands of color sincerely apologizes for any offense caused by the images posted on our social media Our Salon does not import any or import does not support any organizations or views these images May reflect we posted photos of work we are proud of not noticing the client's body art and these images have now been removed you didn't notice that what you do with your body is your business love no but like it's a big [ __ ] tattoo on a neck like just I mean I guess what they mean is they

Instagram account where somebody else I assume oh I assume why did I have to put that in there somebody else filmed her writing about she didn't film it herself obviously anyway just a dog running de yeah she's got a drone Matt don't be so hard on yourself uh she basically should ride around and do tricks and stunts and post them on her Instagram and she became very popular and she uh so I just I'll just interject she's not popular because the stunts were great she's popular because she looks like a porn star well yeah but she combines those two things M and and makes little little sexy stunt videos yeah and uh unfortunately she died in a car crash uh bike crash well both isn't it oh no she crashed into a stationary object yeah uh

and yeah and contracted AIDS and died yeah her her bike is practically a smear on the road just looking at these pictures yeah yeah not good so that's a shame because apparently yeah she'd uh she's gotten up to over 160,000 followers uh and apparently you can make a living off [ __ ] Instagram these days so uh yeah yeah you can which is bizarre to me yeah I know a girl who was winging recently because her follow account has dropped below the million mark down to 900,000 plus yeah it's a tough life well she got to stop po posting better [ __ ] yeah just just semi semi nude on a bike doing stunts yeah there you go spot just opened up but before she starts remind her not to crash into a car yeah that's right yeah oh no a guard rail it says sorry she

Davis on there as well which yeah has a particularly rare strain of AIDs that he yeah no it's a particularly apparently like they only just discovered this uh this strain of cancer they should name it after him yeah they call supposed to be a nice thing they'll call it licked and they'll be like Oh I'm sorry uh Mrs arene Smith your um your daughters got [Laughter] licked I don't think naming cancer after you is like necessarily A the slogan can be let's lick licked hey I I'd be happy with that let's lick Luke no wait name it after someone Luke you had a particularly rare form of cancer did anyone ask you about

note here in the spreadsheet that just says dan was right and all right you want to go there and I enjoy I enjoy being right so why don't we start there all right uh there is a TV show that you recommended we check out oh yeah and the other night uh earli in the week we we were like what should we watch and then uh it popped up on on the Netflix watch the first episode H and now we're addicted and that is Riverdale oh I told you I'm so glad you like it I'm so glad because this could have gone either way and you could have been like damn what the [ __ ] is wrong with you but you've seen it I was it the whole throughout the first episode I was like waiting to not like it and then not didn't happen yeah I know and it's cheesy as [ __ ] but it's

so beautifully done and if like if Twin Peaks wasn't confusing and it was for teens it' be this I'm okay with that yeah oh man [ __ ] we talk about we could I I've been watching Twin Peaks every week and I'm like I know you guys haven't uh and it's like it's hard to talk about anyway because it's [ __ ] Twin Peaks like what do you talk about like it's you've just got to watch it it's but so I haven't brought it up but yeah it it does remind me of of Twin Peaks a bit because it's you know it's a murder mystery and it's it's in a you know small town and uh but it's it's like funny and it's well written and uh I love that it's like Twin Peaks

but it's funny and it's well written no that's not what I meant well look anyone who's seen Twin Peaks knows what I mean like I think Twin Peak is funny and well written as well but it's it does like riverdell doesn't make my head hurt is it's it's easy to watch Twin Peaks is not easy to watch so I have a friend who uh messaged me the other day to ask if I've been watching it I said no I'm going to wait till it's all done and watch it all at once uh and he said that it's the best thing that Lynch has ever done yeah I yeah I think Matt's got a different thinking no no no I don't actually

because it's got [ __ ] weird annoying [ __ ] in it but it's also the most compelling thing I've [ __ ] ever seen I find myself like getting frustrated in the middle of an episode and being like [ __ ] you David Lynch [ __ ] you and then the next day I'm like I can't wait till Sunday got to find out what's going on how many more uh maybe I think maybe at least 10 there quite a few to go it's there 20 something episodes maybe 28 quite a lot old school well continue to wait then I won't I won't dip in stick to my plan but because like there was an episode that was like basically just [ __ ] art house it didn't make any sense to me like it didn't it didn't cuz it had stuff in there from from the old you know the old

season linking stuff in the new seasons but in like the most [ __ ] weird David Lynch like abstract like the whole episode like it had no storyline you know his thing is like for listeners who don't know David Lynch they're going to be like what the [ __ ] is he talking about you know how it's that the his stuff doesn't necessarily have a plot because it's not about plot it's about the the whole the plot is like the tone of the film like he flips it all over like it's the the there's a I don't know how to explain it uh this confusion is exactly what he wants exactly yeah it's not it doesn't have a story line it's not about a story line it's about feelings and and emotions and things uh that's not a very good explanation no man oh look I'm I'm sold I'm looking forward to watching it

I just I didn't want to do week to week because I'm already doing that with Game of Thrones and it drives me nuts although they have leaked episode four of Game of Thrones like three days early I saw that and they EV going to lak the entire script for everything else they've got for it soon as well [ __ ] yeah HBO got really hacked they got hacked but they're also saying that this episode four leak has nothing to do with the hack and that this is actually one of their uh platforms uh one of their Indian broadcasters that it got hacked from and you can tell because there water markers on it ah yeah it's not actually a very good quality video from what I've heard not very good quality show huh no I've been watching it Twin Peaks

is my Sunday viewing great it's [ __ ] great I tuned out a Game of Thrones first season I got the fourth season I'll watch it all at some point maybe you should man you should it's no it's no worse than it was when we were loving it I keep thinking I keep thinking about going back to Walking Dead as well look it's crossed my mind occasionally cuz people [ __ ] love it but yeah people still going L about I stopped it I think season 3 when they went to the jail we all stopped there we all stopped there we couldn't that was a hurdle we just couldn't get over when they started splitting it into them and other people in another place I was like no no no too much even Michael Rooker showing back up again couldn't couldn't convince me to keep watching love that guy Michael Rooker

showed up to convince you to keep watching he came around my house hey man like seriously this is a great show I'm in this remember remember I cut my arm off I'm in it you're like nah sorry Michael Rooker I do like you as Yu yes Mary [ __ ] Poppins mhm I thought yundi was your father you look exactly the same yeah so good that comes out on uh that's available digitally soon I think that's great well I'll be watching the first one again uh very shortly actually because I'm uh I'm rewatching all the Marvel movies from the first one in order uh starting in which order release order the 1970s uh Spiderman yeah that's right you know I used to [ __ ] love that movie

so did I no the Marvel Studios movies starting with the Iron Man well yes except I'm skipping Iron Man because I've seen those so many times uh but there were ones that I missed and there were ones that I saw out of sequence uh that that I enjoyed super officially but [ __ ] man the the crossover nature of the story is really intense yeah they do it it's like the comics it's like you got to watch all of them you got to pay for it all it's like yeah yeah little things too I mean it's just and I'm I will say this uh I hadn't seen Hulk before and oh the Edward Norton one Hulk is a [ __ ] great movie the the first one or the no

not the Eric Banner the the okay seen that it is what it is people are actually sort of saying it's a shame that he couldn't come back to keep playing the Hulk why couldn't he come back because here's the thing because I actually love I was about to say Jeremy Rena what's the [ __ ] I don't love Jeremy Rena what's [ __ ] Hulk's name Edward Norton no now Ruffalo Mark Ruffalo yes um I think he does an absolutely fantastic job I but I also thought oh [ __ ] now I can't remember the [ __ ] other guy's name Edward Norton Edward Norton right I thought he did a great job of it I think it was just scheduling conflict no no it wasn't when when they went to do Avengers he

was on board and then they had a bunch of meetings and stuff and then there was there was some stuff that happened with The Incredible Hulk where Edward Norton had made some changes he he demanded some changes to be made to the script and some other stuff and it it kind of all ended a little bit not ideal and then when they started to do aveng he met with with Jos weden and uh and Jos said and started doing the same thing well all all I know is that after they met a couple of times and they were talking in pre-production and stuff they decided that he wasn't a good fit wow and he's never worked again I have heard he's difficult to work with I think the wording they used was that he's not ideal for an ensemble thing like which you do really need to play

nice especially like like Avengers because you got a lot of names in that now I know and cuz they knew that it was going to get cuz look at Infinity Wars coming out in in like a year or two and like look how many [ __ ] people are in that movie like I remember when they first when they did Iron Man they were like oh we're going to do it we're going to make all of them and they're all going to be in movies together and Avengers and stuff and I was like [ __ ] off no way and now it's like yes way Avengers is like whatever yeah seen Avengers and now now it's Infinity War like we got to put them all together all these actors you like in the universe in the one movie and some that you don't but they're just still there yeah they're in there as well we'll

sneak him in there like Anthony Hopkins what's he doing in there [ __ ] off by Cameron mind I've snuck my way this so where are you up to Dan uh I just watched Thor the Dark World last night did you like that yeah I did actually I like it a lot I haven't watched any of the Thor movies I'd seen the first one but was n as impressed enough with it to continue on when Dark World come out I was like I'll catch it at some point and I just never did um liked Thor the first one a lot more the Second Time Around in context and it really love the Dark World I thought it was really good you know what it reminds me of Matt it reminds me of June oh yeah sure like you know it's just this kind of feudal

families uh kind of semi futuristic but semi kind of medieval as well yeah uh kind of diplomacy and War in space it's very Dune I remember when we saw the movies Jenner and I and when the you the stuff in Asgard reminds me a lot of kind of nibo yes but yes and yeah but and then they take [ __ ] amadala there yeah and I was exactly on the balcony overlooking what really looks like nabo and I remember saying man Thor's better at Star Wars than Star Wars is yeah that's right it is like that sequence where the you know the dark elves show up and the ships attack and stuff I was like man this is like it's like the battle droids bit better yeah

bit better it's like adult sci-fi yeah yeah and you know that dark elf man I was staring at him for so long like [ __ ] I know who that is I know who that is I know who that is yeah and I [ __ ] Eon yeah [ __ ] love who yeah Doctor Who mhm yeah it's a good movie yeah watching them I know you like Cat Dennings she's in there is she in it yeah she is do like she's in both of them mate she's in all the Thor yeah I think be next one the first Thor movie I'm going to see is Thor Ragnarok did you see this uh I forgot to put this in here but regarding Ragnarok uh you know like they improvised a lot of it it's they kind of did it the way did what we do in the shadows apparently I've got no problem

with that I was like what they let him how they [ __ ] let him do that and then I watched the new trailer you there's that have you seen the newest trailer where it's got him and no I haven't Thor and Hulk having a little chat at the end oh yes and I was like oh my God like how I can't I'm I just can't wait to see it is it funny yeah yes yeah I I like talking about how they had a battle and Bruce goes oh so who won th goes I did and Bruce goes but he's not Bruce he's the Hulk he's yes yeah that's what he is the Hulk Thor Thor's like I was on fire and Hulk was like Hulk was bigger fire and then that's amazing so I I don't know just because it made me laugh did a Hulk start talking he didn't that's why I was like what the [ __ ] he's always I guess they explain

it yeah maybe hopefully they just won't but did you read that article that said that a a tiny little kid visiting the set I can't remember it was somebody's son or somebody with cancer was the one who came up with that line that I know him is a friend from work yeah I saw that the other kid was like he should say he knows him from work and they were like that's [ __ ] brilliant that's right yeah yeah so I I can't wait to see it just because I I think it's going to be completely different and I don't yeah I'm confused how the Tone's going to match with the others but I guess who cares yeah because it's funny because you watch uh I watched Avengers during the week right the first Avengers and then soon after that watch Thor the Dark World and they're chalk and cheats man

like like Avengers is [ __ ] slap SLE it's really funny and it's all about the gag the payoff yeah and then th the dark world is just no it's just a [ __ ] serious movie [ __ ] diplomacy like they're feels very much gun into the y a little bit like just silly and fun yeah and it made me think didn't they fire the Han Solo guys for doing exactly that for doing just this yeah yeah I guess it's just different like different property they're allowed to well I also think that uh Star Wars is going to have more of a eye on it than yeah the comic books I don't know man these These are [ __ ] huge movies now yeah as I'm saying it I'm not believing it yeah I mean Star Wars is

too but like they both got the mouse at the top of these pillars that's why I was confused I was like huh why is why is that okay for them but may maybe he did a better job of it yeah yeah yeah well I think it also depends on who's doing the improvisation yeah yeah that's right and it and and for for all accounts it was just that that dude wasn't doing a good job yeah as in the actor yeah yeah just that one that one guy in The Troop who's just really bad at improv well they they fired the directors and then brought in an acting coach for the lead yeah what it's not a good sign man no now Ron how bit late for to bring in an acting coach isn't it like you supposedly got two this they're

going to have to push that movie back there's no way can stay in the same release window well they've got a while because Pi Ron Howard because Ron Howard's he's professional he'll just get it done yeah he'll just turn it around yeah yeah guaranteed but they meant to have been finished filming now well yeah well they're not yeah but that's the difference between you know like they picked the young guys uh Ron Howard exact he who you know I reckon I mean look I don't know him personally but he's made like enough films that he probably like yeah I get done yeah I know how to do this I'm a profal director yeah I can make a film and uh yeah it might not be the the film I would have made had I had the full time but I can make a film yeah I'm I'm

almost disappointed now that we don't get a complete Ron Howard but maybe maybe there's enough there that you know the good parts are salvageable and we'll still get a Ron Howard quality movie yeah and how long do you think stamp that on there how long before you think it's cut into an arrest of development thing oh done well not that yeah yeah it's on but there's already an Arrested Development Star Wars now Google it yeah okay I'll have to watch I think they actually stole some gags from stuff you suggested on the podcast Luke so sons of [ __ ] steal everything else from his why not yeah that's right it's fine I mean this is our way to get good stuff out there yeah yeah no cost or uh benefit to

Impossible by receiving a 0% rating yeah that means not one single critic not one single fan thought there was any redeeming features in this whatsoever fire out that's like harsh but honest to God I mean this is obviously something that came around a [ __ ] discussion from a marketing team right bunch of film Executives going what about emojis someone's going to make the Emoji Movie it should be us might as well make it ourselves what a bad idea it's got some good people in it's got [ __ ] Patrick Stewart in it it's got Patrick Stewart uh Anna Farris is in it I like her yeah I wouldn't put it up there with Patrick Stewart but I see your point but even Patrick Stewart couldn't raise this

from 0% for 1% yeah [ __ ] 0% as 0% didn't they just have uh the poop emoji on Rotten Tomatoes at one point for this I remember seeing an article that said that let me click through it's got like they usually have a little rating to determine whether it's fresh or uh yeah that's right no it's not it's just a little Splat thing so maybe maybe that was just a gag but point I saw a picture of it and it just had the poop emoji evidently the guy behind it trying to get money for another project or something I can't remember what it is but I'm sort of like who's going to give this guy money again oh you guys know that Patrick Stewart plays the poop

emoji yeah Patrick Stewart's the poop emoji yeah yeah yeah no I I I do not I do not want to watch this no I do not want it to even exist you know just annoys me that it even exists um some movies that I do like though the James Bond movies yes and uh there's there's currently a lawsuit uh that's just been okayed in the preliminary hearings to uh to go to trial uh where a woman is suing uh the Distributors of the James Bond complete box set uh by pointing out it's not actually Complete because uh there are two at least non-canon James B films that aren't in this box set now were they released after the box set no no this box set

came out this year the first cin Royale came out in the 60s and then in the early 80s there's never say never again I do too Never Say Never Again Never Say Never Again is the remake of Thunderball right yeah and it's this really weird you guys know the story of like why it exists I've I do know this forgotten it the guy that wrote Thunderball retained the rights to it and right and somehow uh cuz they were going to it was going to be a different script and they ended up turning the that movie into Thunderball so he could still keep the rights to Thunderball but also he still had sha connory signed on for it so sha connory was obliged to still do it it's just the same movie like just slightly different yeah it's just Thunderball but

an 80s Thunderball instead of a 70s Thunderball cuz I know it's the one where he goes to like the health clinic and then and they just changed the circumstances in in in a little little ways but it's the same movie it's got Rowan Atkin in it it's like with the same [ __ ] guy as James Bond they just remade it so weird yeah yeah that early cin Royale actually I have seen that when I was young it was on TV David nen right yeah yeah exactly and Ood Allen's in it it was on late one night and I was like James Bond yeah and I taped it and uh and you were like put it on the next day and I was like what the [ __ ] is this this I did the same in fact I'd set a tape up I set a timer up to tape one of the Bond movies I think it was from Russia with Love or something yeah and

point like how much is she asking for does say in this no CU I think I think this hearing is just to see whether it can go to trial just just remind me actually I saw this article this week uh about this is about Taylor Swift actually so it's not something we would normally cover but it I thought it was interesting because she um she has a court case coming up uh because apparently a few years ago she did an appearance at a radio station and uh during a photo shoot she alleged that one of the hosts of the radio show grabbed her ass and uh and she didn't do anything at the time except made a phone call and he got fired and right he's now suing and he's like totally worth it well he apparently I like his apparently

allegedly his stories changed a couple times where at first he said that he absolutely didn't do it and then he said oh maybe he did but it was an accident and then yada yada but she never she never wanted anything she just made a call and then he got fired and then that was the end of it uh MH and then he's now suing for like you know Millions because he reckons he was you know wrongfully accused and blah blah blah blah oh and uh and she's counter suing uh but only for $1 because she was she's like no [ __ ] you like waste your time and yeah and so I I just thought that was really cool that uh that she's countersuing but like just for the Mone only for a dollar yeah yeah that is good nice one Tay Tay so just jumping back into Casino Royale

contract yes this this court case is not going to go anywhere and he psychics they would know this but it's it makes no sense why they would even try to do this but yeah it just seems like why leave it 15 years why wait till she's dead cuz if she was alive she'd probably say don't do that idiots if she was alive she would have been like no no no here's the contract I agree to it in fact I loved it best publicity I ever got if they're psychics then well they must know what's going to go in their Fai then otherwise they wouldn't do it they should have known all along yep couldn't they sue couldn't they sue Monkey Island then that's exactly what I was thinking the the other Creole Voodoo woman who gives you missions that's the that's my go-to

the details cuz they never make any sense to me but uh like that book The Mothman Prophecies yeah it's just but have you noticed that people have always thought they were getting abducted yeah but just not by aliens cuz aliens weren't a thing yeah you know like people used to get abducted by leprechauns right where back in places where they used to think leprechauns existed mhm and now they get addicted Addicted by them [ __ ] addicted to aliens really Scott's addicted to aliens yes he is unfortunately for him because he's not going to get to do anymore no yeah I know you mean the the mythology changes like in ancient Egypt they they were Gods yeah probably got it in and in uh abducted by Arman Ray and

honest not that I mean I believe it it was good but oh that's one thing have you ever gone have you watched the second season of Ash versus evil dead yet no I haven't you have to go watch that yeah I downloaded it and it was uh it was on my drive that uh we don't talk about rip died of AIDs that you need to stop buying me gift cards all all right gift cards are expensive so why do I have to buy them cuz they're cheaper if you buy them what on Xbox you mean yeah what do you mean the cheaper Rive by them it's the same amount of money it's not though cuz I now have to pay GST on it oh I got to pay sales

tax yeah but I'm already having to pay an exchange rate but no no no the price that you see for things uh on on Xbox or anywhere else you have to add 7% to that that's what I'll pay I'm yeah but GST is 10 yeah but it's already included in the price you're paying no it's not cuz I'm not buying it from I'm buying I'm buying a Us gift card you don't have to pay GST on that then do you I do on the website I go through oh you on some on the first some dodgy website first of no it's not dodgy it's just but on the 1st of July all of our um internet purchases in Australia now have GST applied to them H wait really was only a matter of time yep it's

called the Netflix tax so if you buy something on Amazon from the US you've got to pay extra 10% uh yeah [ __ ] really I didn't know that that's [ __ ] well it isn't it is because I mean it's it's it's the new way of importing stuff nothing comes through the ports anymore they don't get tariffs anymore no one makes cut I suppose but yeah I'm not really against I mean you could argue why you'd need that anyway but you know I suppose as long as you're not paying because you I guess you wouldn't be paying the sales tax that we pay here so unless that's already built into the price that's what that's what I'm thinking if if like if you bought something like I said sales tax in Rhode Island is 7% so if you bought something from here are you

paying the 7% tax here and the 10% Like You And the reason I say you might be is because I think a lot of online retailers like if it's a little you know online store included yeah they probably don't have that [ __ ] set up properly so anyway that's so I might I might be paying tax in your country and tax in mine so I'm just that's interesting I didn't know that it only just happened but yeah it sort of sucks but yeah if you ever see gift cards on special over there cuz I do need to get American ones every now and again I'll tell you what let me know every now and then I'll head up to New Hampshire and I'll buy you some gift cards no sales tax sweet I think definitely not an alcohol I don't know about other stuff don't buy him alcohol what did I

can say we drove through alcohol I will drink it we drove through New Hampshire on the way to on and because there there is no tax on alcohol in in New Hampshire instead of like 7eleven and stuff at the at the gas stations they're all liquor stores yeah because everybody drives through there stops buys a bunch of booze and then continues on you don't have to show ID that says you're from that state CU I know that uh in Utah where it's illegal to buy and there are no bottle overs it's illegal to buy liquor uh I know if you cross the into whatever the [ __ ] state is next color or something uh you've got to show your ID to say you're local because people just cross the border buy [ __ ] and go back okay no I mean they check their ID because you know you got to be over 21

and they just check everyone's uh and mine's mine's a Rhode Island ID they didn't say anything yeah and I know that everyone does it same fireworks people go across to get fireworks which is illegal if you bring fireworks back in that's illegal but but you you know people that do it right I everyone knows a guy I don't know any specific people who do it but I know that people do it and I'm not [ __ ] naming them Luke I I wasn't implying anything I missed fireworks yeah really do though it's a lot of them here at 4th of July so if you like fireworks come over around that time of year here I don't think I've seen fireworks probably the last four or five years that weren't at an official show H the whole week the whole week of

Fourth of July every night freaking fireworks going off in the in the neighborhood but Al it also used to be like that in Australia when um we still had um we you still were able to buy them in CA you know one thing they don't do here because they don't have them is uh they don't tie the fireworks to a Hills hoist and spin it around and then set them off which is something I remember doing as a kid uh that's why we weren't allowed to buy fireworks anymore there is a reason why we don't have them yeah like I burnt myself on fireworks yeah actually when uh that weekend the Fourth of July weekend when we were leaving work uh one of the guys at work was like remember everybody this will be someone's last weekend with all their fingers Jesus I'll be like is that a

threat did you just threaten me well I actually remember one of the fireworks that they used to have that went off it s like fly up into the air and fly down in a parachute oh yeah when you caught that thing it was still burning hot oh man I remember those that that takes me back they were just dangerous here in Rhode Island God were they fun uh you can't buy the big ones uh even around that time of year although I don't know if we talked about this they have like around that time of year the there's all these popup fireworks stores like tents on the side of the road they're [ __ ] everywhere so if you want fireworks you can get them but you can't buy the really big ones and so everyone has to cross the state line to get the the really big
