How to music? – Musk vs Twitter, Dua Lipa’s Zatanna & Joker Suit Auction

I've been thinking lately and oh God I know that is scary but something's confused me and I need Matt to explain to me okay how do you music welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy how do you m music do you need to music Luke cuz no no what I'm finding is like there are new songs coming out and they sound different how is that still possible today it's an interesting question I don't know Luke cuz I've listened to the radio and I don't think they sound all that different in fact

I'd go as far as saying all pop music kind of sounds the same now yeah you it depends on which station you listen to every station sounds the same but all stations can sound different I should say in western music there's only 12 notes I think they have more notes in in other cultures that were like [ __ ] it we need more notes we should just use some of those notes make some new songs yeah we borrow some maybe that's what it is maybe they're just borrowing some of those notes yeah we play a h no but just I've never so I've I I learned to play when I was very young and I always just kind of [ __ ] around and wrote stuff and I've been in bands where people are like oh you know how to write songs I'm like what do you mean so I don't really know how to explain it um

yeah just not not that I'm like born with some thing I just must have learned it when I was little and I don't I just don't know how to explain it yeah I just don't know how it's still possible that like bands will like a band will play different songs that but I'll have like a sound to them but their songs will still be different within their sound yeah yeah no I know what you mean use body jar as a good example of that body jar sounds like body jar but their songs are different yeah yeah like they're what pop punk I guess you would call them but they don't sound like Blink 182 who are also pop punk or like Alkaline Trio don't sound like either of those bands they're also pop punk like how is that yeah yeah and not just like the singer is different because actually the

singer from alal andreo is now in Blink 182 but it doesn't sound like they don't sound the same still it's just yeah yeah I know the music's weird I don't I don't know how to explain it okay you're my only hope no there is is another I get H to come on and explain it yeah that would be good he'll give a even more waffly [ __ ] answer I I don't know that anybody knows the answer exactly nobody knows I think that's the secret that would be my question to some I mean if you asked Danny Elfman he'd be like just go yeah that's right do you know Danny Offman composes on the xylophone that's his preferred instrument I didn't know that ridiculous but I'm almost not surprised yeah I know I'd love that in

way cuz it's like I I have heard that is that like a good way to write music is to not write it on the instrument that you will eventually have it on okay mhm yep yeah so get the sound sound of and then transfer because it's mostly about a Melody right but but you get distracted right and if like say for example I play guitar my PR instrument if I pick up a Guitar I'm probably going to do the same sort of things that I usually do whereas if I like take the xylophone if I start playing a [ __ ] on xylophone who knows what I'm gonna do I don't mat you know how to play the xylophone on Amazon right now I think it's been a while since I think I think my daughter might have one actually yeah oh I bought my daughter a little piano for her birthday coming up oh cool

and in fact she has she has a a big piano that you can kick with your feet um but it only it's it's yeah four keys on it um this this has got it's not a full key 12 not but it's yeah it's got It's got a full octave at least so you can actually you can play chords on it yeah right don't tell a until next month see octave is confusing too because o you know octave there's eight notes there but there are semitones just listeners in case you're confused Luke's already confused yeah I'm out semones is just that most centrans can't play them yeah yeah so now it's getting confused confusing I shouldn't have thought about it my um my my complete knowledge of

songwriting and I haven't written a song since I was a teenager but I used I used to write some back when I was you know emo was um to just be playing a song written by someone else and think to myself that's quite a good chord progression I wonder if I could come up with a different Melody to sing over this and that's right this song I think as well as as uh shown by friends of our that's what a lot of songs are um access awesome have a whole song about it yeah mhm mhm I also um did a thing this week and if you both look at your phone youve been tagged in a photo from the multiple n Instagram account okay let me have a look here on the old have been

tagged oh that's amazing [ __ ] off SE it wait for Matt to get there [ __ ] off when did you do that that's great did that yesterday oh wow oh my so you were both as well as me tattooed on my body forever that is amazing I've never been tattooed on somebody so this is a milestone in and of itself but I've also never had my art tattooed on somebody and I drew this so I feel very good about that as well I've contributed to the canvas that is Luke that is amazing and we're right next to Donald Duck so we've got pride of place and we're inside that's the Halo that's the Halo yeah yeah yep like on forearm for everyone to see yeah and it I mean technically just looking at the angle it looks like we're closer to Luke's heart

than Donald too which is quite nice depends where he puts his arm that is excellent Line work I must say that is absolutely good tattooist you want to give her a shout out prawn girl at CRA Inc thank you Annie thank you Annie this is [ __ ] awesome yeah this is great look at that now none of us can change our hair or beard style from now on not that we NE St anytime we get something like this something like this we haven't got tattoos before people we've asked people to do art or people have done art or whatever before we're like okay now we just have to look the same forever that's right yeah th this is now one up um once once on the show many many years

take uh Double A's I believe oh just take him out of here too though make sure you take him out if you're going to leave him sitting there for quite some while oh good point yeah I don't want Li they they actually do corrode in that or they used to they'll lick yeah it's good advice actually you're supposed to do that with all Electronics but this one especially I'd say yeah so this this is the blade uh which is obviously it comes out obviously but and it's actually quite a sturdy blade as well like you can actually hit other ones and it is fine so I don't know if if you notice when I was you actually have to be a little bit rougher with it than I was comfortable with at first to get it to do it but it does do like that and the blade will

flash like white like as in your thing which is [ __ ] cool um and I also learn you got to be a bit more violent with it than you exactly you get it and you want to be you want to be gentle with it but it's it's not making any noise but then when you actually start moving oh it does really go for it yeah but also I learned that the reason it's blue is because this makes it blue this can be any color oh apparently oh yeah cuz it goes off the crystal that's in the lightsaber cuz you build your own but you're talking about doesn't have a like I can't change the crystal in this one cuz this is Cal you've got another handset that was green say you wouldn't need another tube or if I got one of the ones

from the uh what is it the saber workshop and I yeah the where you build your own you put your own Crystal you can swap the crystals and it will change color you can use the same Blade the yeah I was like to be clear it's not a crystal right it's a gobo like L it's a piece of plastic that has like an RFID in it that tells the hilt what color the blade right but but yeah probably saves them a lot of money yeah but I just thought that's really cool so I I don't know exactly obviously I don't know how exactly it works but like I mean you saw that the effect of this is [ __ ] amazing incredible blue yeah it looks it looks real and I mean we'll put up on the Instagram Jenna got some footage of me flailing around like a [ __ ] Whit last

hands you a beer there a 50-50 chance about whether you're actually even going to like it or not and then you start actually knowing about beers and for what you see most craft are not loggers they're all like IPA no there are some great craft loggers but you're right and I don't know whether that's just because ipas are easier to brew than than loggers or whether yeah we're calling you out you trendy Brewers that you just been lazy mind you I did I did buy I did buy an IPA a few weeks ago because the brand was guo and I just had to I had to buy that and it was okay I had um I had a few cases of aah you may remember this Dan I'm going to be very careful when I tell this story not to to give any any identify of information away but at some point uh a restaurant near to a place

that I was happened to be got shut down for health code violations and they basically got shut down they moved everything out and they shut down and in a few weeks went by and we noticed that there were I stack of cases of beer just sitting there outside and and eventually became apparent that no one was going to claim them back belong to anyone so we moved them first just to see if anything happened and then after a safe period of time we drank them moved them into your house is it one of these things that they maybe got shut down and instead of facing the fines or anything they just ran fled I'm I'm almost certain that's what happened yeah yeah but they cleaned the whole and then these were just left there and I was like well I think what clean the whole place out I think you mean got rid of all the

evidence yeah potentially yeah asah also comes in a slightly bigger can I love that the people who make aah are like you love this be and also here's a little bit more have you SE look at the size of this can this is American Beer Can I can't can't really tell I can't really tell uh is it a that's not what you guys call a 40 is it what's a 40 no no that's a 60 oz this is a 40 is a bottle is it oh a pint in a can oh okay yeah yeah it's it's it's it's just it's just 500 Ms it's good [ __ ] right you know 500 Ms why are we thinking about that one wait no this is more than 500 mil oh no the 375 Ms is the normal one yeah sorry I've been wa for so long what's the little V can that

talked about the SN cut right and uh and in particular the SN Cuts an academy award-winning film of sorts because it got that you know AI vote yeah exactly and there was some some speculation that that was kind of Bot enhanced right and then apparently I the thing that I thought was most interesting about this is that apparently Warner Brothers had a bit of an investigation into the buzz around it like full stop like the original Buzz around the SN cut that convinced them to do it and they've come out and said actually yeah there probably wasn't actually that much actual interest in it now that we look at them now that we've done this research it turns out now that we' spent all this money I mean it went on to do fun but

it's they're lucky that it did because it turns out not that many people were actually asking for it I could in about 5 minutes go on to a website find a bot place to make Bots and I could have stuff tweeting out like it's not hard the implication of this is are we saying that Zack Snider himself did this he went out it be like a small subset of fans really wanted it started for as much as I like I think these movies aren't great I I don't he doesn't strike me as the type of person who would care enough care to do that like right he just yeah although wanted to this Pro with the St coming out it does mean that he probably got paid twice I mean maybe remember no no no no he remember he he said he was waving all

fees and everything just to yeah no he seems legit I don't think he would I mean might endorsement money or something from it yeah there' be money he would have made from it like it's we got to remember like when people like this go bankrupt they're rich people bankrupt but they still have lots of money true I think I think the the thought on this is that this was one of those things where the internet was like yeah this I'm bored let's just do this and then got a bunch of bots to make the SN cut and then you know yeah it's far too easy to get bots these days to do this type of stuff okay I'm almost tempted to find out what we could get remade if we send a bunch of bots to Hollywood you know what I mean well I think there also does need to be that

fan paace there cuz it can't just be the Bots like the Bots can be a major contribute but that's more to Kickstart or to show a higher amount of interest there still needs to be interest there yeah okay how about this how about this we create fake buzz to get the guy who plays Eddie in stranger things to get cast in the new Crow movie I reckon people could get behind that everyone loves Eddie there's a whole bunch of don't like the did you see that video of he was at he was at some ComicCon convention in London or something and I guess the the backstory to this was apparently the day before he had been like doing a signing and he was he he genuinely just seems like he's a really nice guy and he was chat to the fans and spending much time with them and stuff

and apparently the event organizers were like hurry up and like were a bit like you oh I can sort of understand that cuz like you've got this huge line sure you need to get through like but the next day this video this guy suddenly famous so he yeah yeah and and he was he just gen like ni guy and then the next day he he he the video that I've seen is he's he's on a panel and someone comes up and asks and says to him just I just wanted to say um we really we thought it was you know inappropriate what happened yesterday and the way that they treated you and um you know I just wanted to speak on behalf of all the fans we really love you and we really connected with your character and and and you and

you seem like a nice guy this this girl just gave this really nice speech and he's started crying cuz he was just so touched by it and I was just like this dude is legit Yeah Yeah well yeah he's gone cuz it's not like his first acting job or anything but he has gone from sort of he to he overnight he seems genuinely coaster of emotions nice so I I hope he's not one of the he doesn't get chewed up and spat out or anything like that by the system well seems I mean there is a big push for him to come back defitely sure make it happen work out how it works leave Barb dead for Christ's sake I know there's a there's been a movement to bring her back Justice for Bob yeah get some bots on that speaking of bots Elon Musk before we move on can I

coins I do hate coins no but I felt really bad and I like I'm like picking it up he's said just leave it just leave it I'm like no no no I'll pick it up for you and's like you got to [ __ ] put some money into that now too I'm putting it in he's not going to know yeah that's right we was talking about jeno about this the other day is with with tipping right I'm I have this weird Paradox where I I want to tip right but I don't want to be seen tipping because I feel like that's weird like people who go wait until the person turns around and like here's your order thanks and then looks him in the eye and then puts the tip in I'm like I'm not going to be that guy but on the other hand what I usually end up doing is like when I go to pick up pizza I'll wait until they turn

around to go get it and then I'll pop the money in right but they don't know but did exactly and then they might turn around and think [ __ ] we didn't tip just because they didn't see it cuz he didn't make a big deal out of it yeah exactly and so it's a weird how are you at tipping now are you better at tipping cuz I know that when I go to America I over tip I I definitely over tip yes definitely but uh well like with pizza and stuff now it's the other problem is too is when you look online like the answer is always different like how much do I if I go pick up a pizza right how much do I tip right look online if you're picking up a pizza going to give 20% to Pi answer is nothing right or the answer is $2 or the answer is $5 or the answer is

20 like it's [ __ ] everyone's got a different answer so yeah look the percentages I hate I don't mind the one that you guys told me when I visited you guys last if you buy a drink put an extra dollar okay get oh absolutely yeah yeah drinks is a dollar here's money for the drink here's a buck for every drink I've bought easy yeah and then if you eat if you dine out it used to be 10% it's like but that was a while ago that's old that's old uh knowledge it's 20 you got to tip 20% I think okay these days and I think the reason why I also tip more is cuz you see sometimes like with the service when they they they do get an hourly wage of like a dollar or something or some places they actually pay to work there cuz they get tips it's yeah it's

it they get paid [ __ ] all well usually they get paid [ __ ] all and they because it's expected that the tips will just pay them so but that's they can make a lot of money right if people tip well so it's kind of but if you're a [ __ ] server you can really get screwed over cuz you won't get many tips but for tax purposes they go you're in this industry working here you're probably making this it's such a thing here that right some often even if the service is [ __ ] it's like well I still have to tip like yeah I don't want this person to starve like yeah or follow me outside yeah which is which is why I don't think like Australia is going to get rid of cash in the near distance they not too far away send cash I had to go to the

ATM the other day because um my barber only accepts cash cuz I think they're a little bit dodgy with the tax department but um it's the only place like I bought I bought something for $310 the other day from Daiso and paid on my card like I never have cash out in my month I don't carry a wallet anymore more I have to because you do need I barely do either because then you could use a card on your phone well particularly like card on my phone I'm in New South Wales so my driver's license is on my phone same you've got a wearable as well you still use that I can't do that no um the hands on it died yeah but I do want to get another one aren't the hands your hands no no no I actually had oh no the the ring it expired and they don't sell them anymore which is really freaking

annoying made life so much easier did you say cheesier easier I know that's what you meant to say I think he said Che have said cheesier chees much easier and I may have just merged them oh that's my cheesier um what I hate here is if I order if I order food for delivery right and on the website it says do you want a tip and I go yeah sure I'll tip and then and then you finish the order and then it comes up and says by the way that tip wasn't for the driver so you're going have to tip him as well and I'm like [ __ ] off you didn't tell me that before that's so wrong I that's one of the things I know you don't tip like the people who make the

food right cuz they make the food and they get paid in theory correctly it's only the people who me to bring you the food the reason I like Uber Eats I used Uber Eats not here cuz they won't come here but when I was in San Diego I used it and it comes up and it [ __ ] says it says don't give the driver any money you [ __ ] they get paid and if you want to tip them you tip them in the app don't give them any money it's like comes up with message says don't but then they've all got those signs in the back going hey if you want a tip they're not allowed to accept him don't give it to him no matter what he tells you when uh and I were in La the last time we went on one of those uh celebrity house tours where they oh yeah put you in a open top yeah they drive you show you

drive around houses and say it's people's houses but you have no idea no idea this is where that guy played the the black cop in Terminator lives that's right you can stay there if you want but uh we paid for the tickets right MH to this guy on the street standing outside the Hollywood Museum and then the guy in the car comes and we get in and then he takes us on the tour and he's like oh by the way I don't get paid by that guy so I'd appreciate it tip like oh okay yeah yeah like yeah that that's yeah you're booking the thing you don't tip but the actual person who does the tour you tip because they're up there presenting and do you know what I Love Actually you just made me think of this is in Germany when I was in um the Augustina beer hall right [ __ ] I love

just how straight for when he comes over and he brings the check at the end and he goes by the way the tip is not included and the normal tip is 20% thank you have a nice night that's great all right then is that in is that in Munich yeah in Munich yeah I've been to Augustina be Hall in Munich I love I love how I love how much the Germans love beer and and you can understand why because Austina and on those they've been brewing those for a thousand years they know how to make it to the best that it could possibly be delicious so I was in the Augustina beer hall and um there's this cuz you know it's got those long tables yep at the table behind me there was this group of like [ __ ] they looked 15 maybe they were 18 seen that every time I've been like there the Hof house everywhere I'm like

that kid's not old enough to drink yeah but they're drinking out of Stein right so they're drinking out of one liter [ __ ] cups like their tiny bodies can't handle that much alcohol but they they they'll drink and then they'll vomit and then they'll just keep drinking yeah I love it it's magnificent that's like um uh Jason AKA inbred [ __ ] at um car's house when he was mid story drinking a straight bottle of vodka vomited over himself kept talking and everyone was like looking at him horrified he was like what what are you looking at like St yeah now I'll just point out for the if if any listeners are wondering why his nickname was

that he got after in high school his name his nickname was scratch's balls one word scratch his balls because he was constantly putting his hands down the front of his pants and just scratching his balls I mean not the most imaginative nickname we came up with but like we were in school we went bright no and if you did something like that you were going to get called out on it especially that that was very imaginative later on we we kind of came up with something [Laughter] better but seriously if you live out in [ __ ] warington and you're the one that gets singled out with the name inbred [ __ ] it means you're a [ __ ] inbred [ __ ] I assume he's not a listener what do we know how how is no but he did he did add me yes we do cuz he added me on

Facebook about two years ago and I hadn't heard from him for for years and then he added me on Facebook he seems all right he's um he comments he come on on some bizarre stuff occasionally and mostly just posts selfies at football games I hope I hope he's not aist so he could be a listener I hope he's not a listen well hold on we haven't actually said his name I did say his name I didn't say it repated like that time you were telling an anecdote and you just kept [ __ ] naming the person but there's also the fact that was that me we if he was Lista he's going to work out as him anyway no but I mean we did we call him inbred [ __ ] to his face

on Twitter this is going to be yeah good news like the most money on a company that potentially anybody's ever spent on a company I don't know that's entirely a lot of money he needs to horrifically inflated price to begin with that everyone knew he was [ __ ] around surely but did we talk about this last week cuz people were like oh the judge won't make him do it and then the judge's been given did we talk about this she's done this before she's made companies she's made people no you said you were going to [ __ ] buy it you're buying it yeah you got this far along and said you're going to yeah and the news this week he was trying to delay the trial till 2023 and the judge said nope it's happening now well he can't

come in do all this cause Twitter problems actually cost money and then just turned away and walked away you can't just do that and I think he needs to learn this just goes to show how influential musk is though in he just absolutely should not be but at what point along the line did he get put up on this pedestal where things he tweets I mean it's ironic that this is all Twitter now because usually it's him tweeting stuff and the the world changes around him and now he's bankrupting Twitter I know it's almost like he does little experiments I mean I'm sure that probably is what what he's doing he's doing little experiments yeah but yeah like there's been a couple of times where he's directly affected the price

of Bitcoin and Dogecoin and yeah straight up well he did it with um you know the with actual you know stocks at one point and he got in trouble with the SEC cuz he was saying basically he's what he's doing is manipula the St it's inside yeah it's not really inside of trading you straight up manipulate yeah if anything out oh I think Tesla should be worth more and then people would go buy a bunch of Tesla and then the Tesla price would go up and it's like you can't do that like yeah but he's like sorry I just did yeah exact EXA exactly it's he's just [ __ ] around yeah I didn't tell him to buy stock I just I just tweeting you know just just tweeting stuff he should not have as much power as he does yeah for what he does he just does what are you what are
