I don't think I've done anything stupid this week and I'm quite proud of myself I don't believe you for one second haven't pre-ordered any overpriced games if I ask your wife she will confirm you didn't do anything stupid this week well I don't think I've done anything stupid this welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerd GLE your guide to All Things nerdy right she will confirm that I don't think you haven't done anything this week that you think is stupid correct there's Luke's level

stupid and there's Luke's wife level stupid so I think they're probably two different tears but that said she's probably if Luke hasn't done anything luk stupid she probably calls that win yeah oh absolutely yeah he's been he's been a good boy this week yeah I have a very good boy so what have you been doing then if you haven't been making extreme purchases just been doing my normal playing games okay what have you played um well I've actually started playing power wash simulator again okay yeah no no no I'm off with that yeah cuz they' just released some DLC for it that finally has achievements so it's SpongeBob SquarePants okay I don't see how that fits in do you do you clean him or or you make pictures of him with the gurnie I clean his

house pineapple isn't he under the sea yes don't power wash no okay F don't question mind never mind you shouldn't question anything show explains all that you have to watch the show really it's quite in certainly yeah I've actually never seen the show me either because I wasn't a child or a stoner when it came out yeah I have found that it is hard to turn away from though is it yes when it's on I'll get sucked into it when is it on Luke yeah that's a very good question I don't know anymore it's back in free to a days okay sure when when you just had to watch whatever was on yes like it's like when lawn balls comes on I cannot stop watching lawn balls really ever seen lawn balls no yeah no I

used to see it in Australia here I it doesn't come up we that's not a thing people do here no the what ti do move to Florida sure yeah speaking of I'm back oh yes you want know what I did last week I [ __ ] lay in bed Jesus Christ no fair yeah it sounds like it got you really bad yeah I uh I mean finally got me too cuz we were joking a while back that everybody on knew had it and I just didn't get it IM I must have had it yeah exactly I've got superow or something no I don't no no it's like you had a slight cold at one point you went oh that must must have been well not even slight cold colds were [ __ ] for the last two years I don't know whether that's got something to do with Co or not but I maybe it's because we've had kids and

they've just been bringing disgusting children germs home yeah yeah that happens but watching TV and I I literally just felt like I A truck hit me all of a sudden and I said to j i feel awful just like literally just like like that I was like something's wrong I'm going to bed and then I um I was simultaneously freezing and boiling and uh and I had a weird semiconscious dream thing where I really needed a drink which was true but I couldn't get up to get a drink cuz I had wheels on me oh which was not true and then Luke did you did you get the wheel legs when you had Co no I think you had quite a bad Fe had yeah and because I was lying there for what felt like Infinity just thinking

how am I G to get these wheels off I need a drink and then yeah um and then at some point a little voice in the back of my head went Matt what the [ __ ] are you talking about you don't have wheels and your water bottle's right there and then like 400 a.m. finally I got up Matt has a water bottle Luke do you have a water bottle cuz I sure don't oh my God you have a water bottle is there water inside that there liquid something inside in there so yeah eventually at 4: a.m. I got up had a drink and went the [ __ ] was that and then the next day thought hang on a minute I better do a covid test because that was weird yeah well back you better are you healthy now do you think you I'm pretty good I still have a bit of a cough uh but I guess that linger Matt yeah yeah

yeah but I'm good M there's people at my work who have gotten it two or three times jeez yeah I'm still a CO virgin although I did have to go into work this week for um a mandatory 4 days a year which my workers decided sounds about right um and while we were in there they said oh by the way um when Queensland did this last week the Queensland office um someone had Co and so now they're all off sick and I'm like well I mean if that's still a threat I don't want to be here and I wish you told me that before I came in I had let my guard down I mean I'm not quite sure how I got oh yeah but uh I'd certainly let my guard you went to a concert you went to a concert that's true but that's I mean yeah no that's where you got it there's no there's no if ends or butts at this point maybe

yeah okay right it could be could be I guess we'll never know did we lose Luke did he announce that he's he did get and leave uh I mean although if we're doing if we are doing video for this episode the audience will know that the audience will already know they would have noticed before we did actually here he is he's back yeah welcome back welcome back yeah hello you just welcome yourself back yeah I like to welcome myself back I think I'm important guys there's been a lot of news this week There's Been movie stuff happening there's been game stuff happening um it's it's been a pretty interesting week where do we want to start the end of financial year in Australia it gets busy yep sure

we had our agency Awards yesterday and uh which we had to coordinate three states on a team's call um with a live camera crew in each uh location it's my advice to you not to ever attempt to do that the fact that it all worked out with relatively small problems was a miracle yeah unless you do this all the time don't do it and even three locations did you say I'll uh I'll have you look at your screen right now and you will see three locations yeah mhm true true International all across the globe we are so okay we'll just cut to camera two or three in your location Matt just for a sec um no wait no no no not dick cam not dick cam I thought you said camera number two it's pointed at my [ __ ] oh that's

better is it we can make some you like that listen listeners who only have the audio sorry actually no I'm too big now yeah okay okay that whoever's talking or is that just Matt featur it just looks like big me but uh what are you there we go okay now we've moved right I used to be up in any what um what do we got what we got got followup I guess we should do followup yeah sure sure because you know well we've been talking about Co right you guys the first lock where wasn't quite scary yet it was just fun to not be at work and everyone stayed home and watched Tiger King do you remember that remember that fun part of I remember the governor got on my TV and said everybody you're know allowed to go to work and I

was like they can do that yeah all right great right so I was in Singapore at the time which feels like a lifetime ago and they will not use the word lockdown because they they just will not be as uh as defin is that so they called it a circuit breaker they called it a virus circuit breaker um but uh Now Tiger King's in jail which is probably where he should be um and now some of the peripheral characters in Tiger King are also going to jail so doc anle um he was the weird guy with like the young girls and the yes quum of women type of thing what's weird about that look yeah that's right um the cool one maybe no no no not definitely not the cool one um he definitely thought he was I I

think the people who were illegally trafficking wild animals in America and then decided to go on a reality TV show about trafficking wild animals the thing was it wasn't illegal at the time is that is that true you were allowed to have big cats yeah but it's I think the way you got and the way you treated them still well they were breeding them as well and they treating them Terri that's why I think they've brought in laws after that but it wasn't uh you can't breed with them yourself though Luke you've got to get other Tigers yeah tell that to the Tiger King wait wait wait the Tiger King is half man half tiger someone legitimately tried to convince me that the human Z was was

real human Z yeah human Z humans The Missing Link what movie absolutely not I think he's the he's The Lion King he's The Lion King no The Lion King's also been done yeah yeah no and Sony can't use the phrase Lion King anymore yeah Disney no we talked about that a little bit last week in your absence Matt because I actually said that I'm quite Keen to give that a look The Lion King no I've seen The Lion King in 1995 the yeah he can watch music yeah oh but but by Who Matt anyone we might have heard of oh W what's his name what's his

name uh Han Zimmer that's him yeah you know I was thinking about Han Zimmer Last I wasn't thinking about him I typed his name into Spotify and just listen but I'll say this for a man who makes arguably the best musical scores in cinema at the moment and certainly the most popular composer for movies at the moment absolutely he's he does a lot with very little sure like if he came out and said guys I'll admit I never went to music school and I actually only know four chords I'd go huh I believe that didn't he knows more I think I don't know well I mean I'm sure he does mad I'm sure but but like his music is not complicated yeah he's quite like dman in a way that they didn't go to school sure for it no but Denny elfman's music is complex which is

why it's interesting whereas zimma is like like it's very yeah simplistic but and I mean mean that in a in a der but he knows he knows what the next cord should be to get you kind of thing yes yes yes he knows what you think it's gonna be and he knows what would make you go o he looks at him he's got this because people do [ __ ] on him a bit because he isn't he's not John Williams but like he's not trying to be but he can look at fil he look at a film and he can go this music goes with this yeah and it gets and then you'll feel the thing you're supposed to feel and he [ __ ] you [ __ ] do yeah and this might be just stating the the the bloom and

obvious but Han Zimmer plus Christopher Nolan equals the best split up now they split up because Z not doing Oppenheimer I don't think so he's been doing Dune oh yeah right gson did ten it I'm just gonna disappear again for a second sorry guys I've got a really bad toothache I need to tooth out of there we'll see was going to say that uh H not Han Zimmer Christopher Nolan has come out this week and said that uh if you like the ending of inception you're going to love Oppenheimer so I realiz say that and he left yeah yeah that's right that Luke probably that's not what he was hoping to hear Oppenheimer and unless unless it

continues all the way to the present day it can't have an open ending then know what happened to upheer well you do except that apparently half of this movie is subjective oh that's from the point so maybe Oppenheimer maybe we'll see what he thinks of himself we'll see what he thought happened to him well here's the thing so Oppenheimer evently have to decide what he thought yeah yeah well but but here's the thing we kind of know what he thought because his friends and family have come out since his death and said he may have gone on television and the whole I am destroyer of worlds thing but and his popped a bottle of on the aniversary of the aom going off in Japan every year after we got hone

c yeah yeah oh I mean I'm yeah Oppenheimer might be one of the few films I see in the cinema this year yeah that's babysitter worthy right yeah I think so yeah I to a Jen I might have to get by myself yeah oh yeah h's not going to want to see open armor on positive I mean unless somehow it gets on the Torrance early but but I mean we've basically been implored to go and see this at IMAX right oh yeah absolutely by filmers and I feel like dun I want to see an IMX as well yeah yeah have you got an IMX near you yeah as one of provin okay yeah I'd have to go into the city which I don't like doing Providence doesn't count as a city so compared to Sydney sure yeah it's it's a plantation as far as I know that's right it's like going to westfields in

pen okay sure yeah y actually's probably not even that busy look talking about filmmakers demanding that you go see things at the cinema um you've popped in here that John Landis has has had some things to say about the Hollywood industry now I'm a pretty big fan of John Landers I certainly certainly enjoy many of his movies over the last four decades sure um but he seems to be flogging that same dead horse that a lot of other older filmmakers are also flogging which is things have changed I'm scared I don't like this yeah yeah people are watching stuff at home not at the cinema yeah people have got nicer screens and better surround sound at home than we doing these shitty old Cinemas I was surprised to see I actually saw this article pop up a

couple times and these days whenever I see John Landis pop up there's like he got cancelled like way late like it's like everybody in the internet who's young enough to to be very um I guess opinionated found out about the helicopter stuff and oh why he got yeah yeah yeah so everybody hates him because because he you know mistreated his workers and caused deaths basically because he killed a man yeah yeah we well yeah from a certain point of view yes he did killed somebody so yeah so when I saw this I was like oh God what are they what are they on about now oh no he just he's just he's having an opinion about how Netflix is ruining everything yeah now I haven't seen much John Landis on Netflix no this is probably somebody that is in your

wheelhouse right I imagine there's quite a few John Landis movies in your in your top 10 right this might shock you you don't know who he is I've not don't know who he is okay let me just go London presumably I I I think that's probably not that's probably not his favorite of the John Landis movies I'm thinking more Animal House right oh sh good point I'm thinking Blue's Brothers Luke yeah yeah okay so I do know him yeah yeah yeah stuff he done yeah um Coming to America I I could sort of maybe see where he's because these are movies that would not be anything that would go to the movies to see these days but were big back then actually you know what that's a very good point they aren't because these those

types of movies like those comedies like for example like they case in point The Coming to America sequel it was UN sure yes that's true um sorry I'm just going to throw another one in there Three Amigos you love that movie I [ __ ] adore that movie well this is also going back to what people are saying that we don't have movie stars anymore oh yeah I mean like yeah but the argument about we don't have movie stars was about Chris Evans and um uh Scarlet Johansson which I would argue are movie stars they're just not necessarily the movie stars they grew up with Chris Evans know Scarlet yes it's Quinton Tarantino versus Marvel Cinematic Universe in a way but yeah like the movie say s like hone shun the kids and stuff like that

or he did a TV show but there stuff that we wouldn't really what mate not really I saw honey kid and the sequel at the cinema yes so did I 30 years ago but if you were planning to go to the movies today no mate I SK Flash and I'm going to go and see Indie more on that later and I'm going to go and see Oppenheimer but anything else that comes out this year I'm gonna I'm gonna wait see that's the thing though I don't feel qualified anymore to to opine on some of this stuff because I don't go to the movies for different reasons right I don't I don't know if I would still go to the movies I didn't have lra because I do have her and so I can't go

to the movies so yeah but you're also the person who a year before you had lra still had Movie Pass right yes but when you were going you look for me going to the movies there are movies you go to the movies for now and they're the the action the explosions the the the big things to go and watch Oppenheimer that to me is more of a watch at home not having to worry about I completely disagree with we want to go and see yeah I I know you want to say that but I'm just like you're gonna go you're gonna be sitting there you're going to be watching people opening ships on their phone it's going to take you away from enjoying the movie maybe but I think if you go to Oppenheimer cuz you want to just noisily eat chips and talk on your phone I just don't feel

it's that kind of movie but I generally I agree with you except that I find most of the action explosion movies now other than the ones that say Marvels in front of them are straight to streaming Netflix are doing a gantan amount of action movies right now that I have no interest in watching right no interest in that no interest in that no interest in Stallone's TV show no interest in all of the Chris Hemsworth Chris Evans action that they're doing no interest speak Luke's teeth extraction Luke how are your teeth mate is it toothaches are the worst got really bad um I've just got I just read say Hannah's going to the chemist to get me something that I can put on them okay did you ask her if you did anything stupid this week I didn't but when she

gets back I'll ask her all great well no hold on I'll I'll no okay she's driving I won't ask her yet she strikes me as somebody who would just reply when when she's in a safe space to do so yes yes she would not look at the phone who's Ludwick Genson Ludwick Genson is Ludwick Genson that's the the composer of tenant he's like the guy Mandalorian Mandalorian black panther tenant sorry I'm still on the last uh the last thing we talked about as well okay yeah no he's good he's a good compos he's a good looking guy look at that [ __ ] hairer he uses conditioner look we've just mentioned Mandalorian just quickly and we're talking about like films and stuff I think what they've done with the Mandalorian is making it easier for

actors to act though just do voice over we'll get a stun actor in well no no no no I meant with the fact with had they've got the screen behind them so now for a long time actors have just been standing on this X as blue wall around you and Away you go and I think that's really wanted to work with Nell Portman and there was just a posted note on the wall just now at least with that huge screen they've got behind them they can actually start to feel like they're there yeah and I think that's that's making a world of difference but yeah yeah movies I think uh we need to accept that they're going away going away for what it is I mean look joh I'd agree with you except that okay so I know this is not in our

wheelhouse and I've not even watch the trailer for Barbie but so many people are talking about Barbie right now Time Magazine has a pink cover this month because Barbie movie is coming out we can stay at her house go Margo Robbie's house Maro Robbie's house no no no at the Barbie house evidently you can rent out the house it's in Malibu and you can rent out the house really the dream house might be there don't mention this to anybody beforehand yeah that's right again after and and if there is a very scared blonde lady there asking you to leave just ignore it just ignore it um but that's massive and everyone's talking about it everyone wants to go and see that I saw I did see um somebody saying lamenting the fact that um movie marketing now is this garbage about how

like the world's running out of pink paint because of the Barbie movie like we used to just talk about how movies were good and now we have to make up all this stupid [ __ ] I think movies are now going to the movies is now for fun not to make you think I mean I always went to the movies for fun let's not not not Cloud that I just honest look honest to God if if you had a a screener of opam right now uh in full quality and I don't want some cam in the cinema [ __ ] but I would watch it at home for sure for sure yeah yeah yeah same cuz it means I wouldn't have to get a babysitter and fight around and all that kind of stuff yeah yeah Dune I would still go see oh June [ __ ] me that was so

good in the cinema was so good because think that's a big movie that's um yeah yeah no that's fair that's not people talking to each other mind you I watch June one of any day of the week yeah I watched I watched it on a plane on the little TV although I am I am going to say I don't know how they make two movies about a guy sitting in a room watching people creep up behind him yep go I know it was you you should have kept reading when you would have got up to the sand worms everything changes that one room I watched uh I watched the Terminator this week and we we don't have to go into this it was just you know sometimes I'm just in the mood for the Terminator right yeah the original right [ __ ] and I think it was because we were talking about uh

Michael Bean a couple of weeks ago and how he's just phing in his his Cameo appearances right um I don't give a [ __ ] about that he is so awesome in Terminator and I know he's a big star to us but I don't think man on the street knows who Michael Bean is probably not they will know they they know him but they don't know that they know him yeah yeah like I I think the fact that he never became an A-list actor he must oh yeah Hicks exactly yeah yeah or if you said the guy from Terminator like I mean I saw Terminator 2 before I saw Terminator 1 like Terminator 1 was kind of a a fringe movie until Terminator 2 was a box office hit right you want to know where I saw Terminator I saw it in hospital because when I was when I was

in hospital with cancer I got the Starlight wish and I got like a television andr I got I asked some movies and I asked for like Terminator RoboCop that's that's a good practical like I want to go to Australia's Wonderland all right right well your wish will be over by the end of today whereas VCR is the gift that keeps on giving exactly and so I got to have this and yeah I got to watch like Terminator in the hospital they did make me close to screen cuz I was in a room with other other kids great see that's good mongle Bean is so good in that movie and there's like there's just something about someone who's like just that he gets the psychology of the fact that he does he know that he's playing his own Father's son you know like or

doesn't he like he doesn't give it away but he seems to know the importance of his mission he knows he's not coming back um and then there's one bit that I noticed so in in the the future which is the flashbacks they use dogs to sniff out who's not human right so the dogs are at the door to their bunker to sniff out any Terminators anytime Rees in the present day walks past a dog he lets it sniff his hand just out of instinct it's such an amazing detail I'm not saying Michael Bean came up with that like of but I'm just saying he just there's so much Nuance in in what you could say it's [ __ ] a robot fight movie I'm going to say not I'm going to say that was probably in the book maybe no no no why Cameron wrote the script for that didn't he yeah yeah

the book came first didn't it I don't think so am I thinking of I'm thinking of something else I think he ripped off a lot from is but I think it's a oh yeah yeah the rainow you know the rbow book he's naked he's naked for half that story because that scene in the shower that's when he he runs and he is naked until he finds clothes the book's worth a read actually it's it's it's quite a bit more hardore it's into the it leans into the survival more than the movie does yeah right they really changed that franchise after the first movie [ __ ] they changed it every time every new [ __ ] retired he's in a temple in Thailand cuz he's a Vietnam V who had like a mental breakdown and killed a bunch of people and they're like back to Vietnam mate

sorry and he's like he like mate I got no I got no problem with that all right no worry sounds good yeah will the American Army be with me this time no it'll just be you no that's all I need honestly is the third one where he goes to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban correct yeah they called the MU back then but with them yeah and in case you miss the Nuance of it at the end as they ride off text comes up on the screen and says this movie is dedicated to the brave men of the telean yeah I don't know the newest one he invites drug dealers down in Colombia yeah that's right I haven't seen I've only seen up to three not colum uh Burma right oh sure yeah oh no no no that's four right there's a

fifth one where he's in South America I haven't seen that all right the fourth one in Burma is very good I I actually quite like that one and I didn't know if I was going to see it or not cuz oh are we pass the Rambo thing and then I heard a review saying zero Stars this is nothing but wall to- wall action and I was like how is that zero Stars I'm going to go see this it does have Jill bz yeah I used to like the rainbow movies yeah I still like it they were a fun movie I'll go see anyone they make just just on Terminator I feel like Terminator holds up even visually except for like a couple handful of shots there like some of the bits where an's working on his eyeball and stuff looks a bit janky and one shot that's quite bad after they blow up the truck and the

Terminator comes out and and there's a bit where it's coming down the hallway at them and it's just one shot that's like really bad like stop motion which a shame because after and then green screen lines around them yeah looks really bad because could you not take the to that hallway and it's a shame because all the stuff in the factory after that looks amazing remember this is also at the time where you saw the movie maybe three times like you saw at the cinema you then waited for a year and you saw it on the C saw VHS yeah exactly well that's why the you remember aliens look like [ __ ] oh yeah pieces of wood yeah well that's the thing and look you're right

like even even Cinema were were garbage back in the day like I remember um the behind the scenes of THX 1138 where um Walter merch the sound designer um put a rain sound effect behind um the scenes where they're in the the white void and George Lucas was like why did you put a rain sound effect he's like trust me three times this movie runs there's going to be flickers over this white area it's going to look like rain so you're going to want a rain sound effect oh that's quite clever actually yeah but there's another movie coming out and we've discussed whether or not we're going to see this I've actually I'm I'm I've decided to go I'm going to

see Destiny um and I know that in preparation some of us have have watched some of the old ones again yes so Matt you've watched the older old ones so why don't why don't you go first what was your experience so when I was I was like I said on bedridden the other week and I like even I tried to play video games and I just couldn't be bothered even which is unusual sick yeah yeah and I was like what do I want to do and then I guess just because dollar Destiny's been coming out I was like I'm going to watch because I watched Temple of Doom a couple months ago I'm pretty sure I talked about it already I was like I'm gonna watch Raiders I'm gonna watch the Last Crusade Y and I did I mean they're almost a group of Unto themselves aren't

they those well that's it was quite yeah because it's been a while since I've seen them I think probably Raiders I've seen more recently it's been I don't even know the last time I saw Last Crusade I know that Last Crusade was my favorite when I was younger MH I think because it came out when I while I was aware of everything so it kind of had that I think we were about 10 when that came out and ra came out in 81 so it's like yeah yeah but um Raiders is [ __ ] fantastic yeah it's just a fantastic movie nothing nothing bad to say there's no fat on that movie it's it is it is perfection yeah phenomenal um holds up uh I know that they've touched up a few little odds and ends that might not

whereas you know when he falls into the snakes and there was a perspect screen there apparently you can see that on some of the okay but they fixed all that sure um faces melting at the end holds up great yep no complaints Last Crusade uh uh also very good mhm but it has little warning signs in there yeah bit silly warning signs for what was to come because it just definitely leans way more goofy than because Raiders was quite dark little bit little bit of little bit of fun little bit of lightness but not joke jokes really no jokes Templar of Doom [ __ ] dark as no jokes like George is through a divorce not only no they both going through divorce mat they were both getting

divorced there's a literal scene where a [ __ ] someone pulls the heart out of people like yeah that's a metaphor folks played children in the in the temple nothing funny about that movie but it's a great movie but like last Crusades got these goofy bits like you know when they they sits the the room on fire in the castle the nuts Castle the Austrian Castle not Nazi Castle the Nazis just happen to be there and then get into the fireplace and he bumps the thing and the fireplace starts spinning around and all the Nazis are like like being goofy slapstick yeah and it's like oh sorry you ju to get to that scene you forgot the bit where to get into that castle they decided to swap clothes yes that's their swap clothes and do accents is

their plan on and he pretends he's a he's a yeah he's he's a Scottish Lord to inspect the tapestries it's a castle isn't it it must be many tapestries yes I mean look it's very good it's just it's just it's bit goofy it's fun well I also feel they changed Marcus Brody's character to make him comedic in that movie me that is he was not comedic he will blend in you he will disappear over 12 different languages and it comes to him going hello does anybody speak English hello or or or even ancient Greek yeah no no that's great but that's not the same character from the first movie like they had to write a new character for denim Elliot to play in order for those jokes to hit sure follow me I know the

way and in the bit made me laugh I told you guys this messenger was at the very end spoilers for last CR when they get in there right Indie finds the night the last night and at first I was like he goes oh I'm the last of three brothers and I was like how does he know that and I was like oh okay the other two would have died because they stopped drinking from the cup so he probably so that's fine all right because he doesn't know what happened to them right yeah they left and he's been stuck for thousands of years so I was like anyway yeah he knows he finds him um he says well this is your job now and then he's like in that mate not interested in that I'm more of a blow andgo kind of guy yeah and then so there's a there's a

whole bunch of stuff happen I don't know where that came from they find the Grail and they Take It Outside The Knight goes by the way try don't take that outside otherwise yeah there will be problem stay in here yeah they can't leave this place yeah in fact they've drawn a picture on the ground of the exact place you can't take it past yeah don't don't take it out past that line and then he's like yeah know where he right and the Knight stays there so then they go out and he peels his dad and all that kind of stuff and then Elsa says I'm taking the cup let's go yeah I'm just cross seal the temple starts collapsing you know she falls down a hole Indie falls down a hole and's dad pulls him up and all that kind of stuff and then the Knight wanders out and he

just the same as it was when I left in the 12th century so yeah any that yeah amazing amazing but okay no no no you watch a different Indiana Jones I did so I would agree with literally everything you've said with no changes Raiders Of The Last Arc is serious Adventure Temple of Doom is Dark Adventure and Last Crusade is comedy adventure yes so 24 years later when they were going to make a new one I'm sure they looked back and said the comedy adventure is the one that people like the best I mean that's definitely true because even let's make another one of them now I've only seen well I remember when I was young that was if I was going to watch one from that last was only one that I would put

on yeah yeah um Crystal Skull I saw once at the movies in what it 2008 I think when it came out and I didn't like it so I never saw it again um last week Luke and I talked about how I've just I've heard a lot of negative stuff about dial of Destiny and I thought if I'm going to go and see it I mean it can't be worse than Crystal Skull right no one's saying it's worse no one's even saying it's as bad people are saying it's just maybe not what you want it to be great yeah I decided to rewatch skull guys I didn't hate it H so here's my experience right 30 minutes in I looked at the timer and went 30 minutes in and I think

this is quite good now there are a couple of things I think don't need to be there the [ __ ] ferrets or whatever they are at the start don't need to be there they don't need to be there but I don't hate them they're fine they just don't need to be there lines like get that Greaser don't need to be there but I didn't hate it and in fact structurally it is Last Crusade pretty much verbatim and tonally it is also Last Crusade very very matched closely 45 minutes I'm still not hating it at about an hour it starts to get a bit [ __ ] right but only for a while because there's about a 30 minute it's quite a long movie so for an hour to an hour and a half there's a lot of just dumb chases CGI that's where the monkeys come in the

ants didn't bother me as much as the monkeys because how do you do ants really there's only one thing where the ants really annoyed me which is where they used their bodies to form a bridge and I'm like well you lost me cuz ants don't [ __ ] do that like I get that a swarm of ants would grab a man and take them into an ant's Nest but but making a making an ant Bridge it's too much right mhm but then it corrects itself once once that's over it gets back to just we're exploring temples and it's no different to Last Crusade Tony okay it's not worse it's not cheesier it's the same right it's certainly not as good as Raiders but it's it's no cheesier than Last Crusade okay but what okay what they they lost it at the end though by showing the alien

because in in Lost Ark you knew the ark was powerful but Jesus didn't literally walk into the room and say thanks for bringing me back my Ark Jesus Jesus didn't yeah you could have just thought this could be radioactive it could be some other source of huge power it doesn't have to be God and it's the same in Last Crusade he comes out and there's clearly something powerful about that cup yeah but they don't split like Jesus doesn't walk in and go thanks for me cup yeah the fact that they have this skull that could be carved by the Mayans or could be an actual alien skull is fascinating the fact that they they could have worshiped a God and gotten their knowledge that way or an alien could have given them the knowledge is fascinating but to just literally show

the alien come in and say thanks for my skull undermines everything thank you for my kingdom of the Crystal Skull yeah and you know what I even liked I'm sorry Luke I'm sorry I like shy abuff he gave a solid performance as a like a bumbling young thinks he's tough but isn't as tough as Indie Indie substitute and that bit at the end when you saw Disney are just trying to hammer me home to accept that Shai is going to be taken over where he goes to pick up the hat and then Indie picks up the hat and goes I don't think so mate was the perfect ending to it like I really enjoyed it seriously so you want shy buff to be this movie I'll be fine with it I'll be fine with it five minutes cut out of this movie of of just a couple dumb

things that don't need to be there you know what the fridge [ __ ] genius I don't know why everyone hates that that is where you'd get if you were going to be in a nuclear blast it's lead lined it's the 50s and that shot when he gets out of the fridge and goes up to the hill and he's silhouetted against the cloud It's [ __ ] amazing that's one of the probably the three or four key shots in the whole Saga of Indie so you know I'm disappointed that they decided to fullon show the alien but other than that actually think it's pretty good so what you're saying is you need to go with more of an open mind yeah and here's the thing when Indie when there were no Indie movies we read all the Indie [ __ ] Choose Your Own Adventure books and we watched the young Indiana Jones

Chronicles it's better than a whole lot of them you know and certainly as love the young IND Jones do I so do I this the Crystal Skull feels like if they had made this movie in the '90s 5 years after Cru with the exact same script but just not Chang the movie making process to include all the CGI and the shiny photography and all of that stuff if they just if they made that in 1995 I think it would have been great yeah all right I might give it another watch cuz I'm the same I watched it once and never again I've watched it again I don't want to talk it up again and overhype it for you again I'm just saying if you go if you watch it going this is the worst of the Indiana Jones movies for sure like no question but it's still just a fun adventure and like

we're talking about marus having to change his character they don't change inie's character Indie is the same person in this movie as he was in the other movies you know all right all right I'm more open to seeing the new one now that's out now right yes it came out yesterday in show yeah yeah right uh I watched something this week that I'm going to recommend everybody watch if you haven't started already uh it's Silo which is the Apple TV series based on books apparently um there Rebecca Ferguson about a bunch of people who live in a Fallout style Vault and they don't know

why and it's very good that is good is the whole thing in the or do they go out and wander around the Wasteland or is that a spoiler no no no because it's poisonous out there Dan you don't want to go out there no one remembers why it's poisonous how it got that way the people who are in the show yeah they've always been in there that's great that REM 12 Monkeys doesn't it but then people start to discover things are actually a bit odd and so yeah it's good it's good mystery Luke do you remember a movie from called the vacuum about 5 minutes long St you I I do remember that it um a Sim premise where everyone in the vault thinks it's poisonous outside but one guy knows that it's not and so he

Ventures out and finds a whole bunch of people living out there it has a dance off and it does Soo have a dance off mat not that I'm aware of any sodomy in Silo yet um no no no and does anyone murder anyone and then instantly still become friends with the people yeah true murder yes there's a lot of murder did they explain the storyline in Silo because we we didn't bother with that in our movie no well I mean but it is very fleshed out in their minds oh yeah it's it's one of those ones where no so far no so the finale of it literally came out today and so I haven't watched it yet we we accidentally caught up and we're set to watch it the other day and then realized it's not out yet um not out yet and so

I'm I'm fairly certain the finale of this season will reveal something of what the [ __ ] is going on um and so and and they they I mean I kind have a general idea of what's going on I'm going to predict something they reveal something but not to the people in the bunker probably yeah yeah that's that's called dramatic irony yeah so yeah it's very good so yeah there people all live in this Silo underground no one remembers there's no records of anything allowed to have records if you find something from the before times that is a that is a relic and it is illegal and you have to report it to judicial department and turn it in otherwise there's bad news and um one of the rules is if you say you want to go

out you go out and that's it oh and they just push you out there's no there's no like back say all right we're gonna send you out we'll put you in a suit and everything you can go out that's fine we would just ask that you clean the lens on the camera when you get out there so that everybody can watch you die as a reminder of why we're in here that's amazing that is fantastic dude this sounds great sounds really good it's really yeah it's cool okay I'm going to it reminds me of a a TV mini series that came out a few years ago called a Ascension so it was basically um they were sending a spaceship to a a star system I think I saw that it's got Trisha Hare in it it was great yeah off to and know sort of

monitoring sort of like how people going to react but it was all like a test so all these people were in the spaceship and been generations and they' form like their own sort of society and different rules and things and then at the end it reveals not is just a test and everyone's still on Earth and then it never got a second season ah yeah which is a pain that sounds excellent and I'm going to watch that probably this week possibly even starting tonight that sounds great yeah know I highly recommend like it's got really good cast got like like Rebecca Ferguson's in it it's got common plays this guy from judicial he's very good in it no he's really good in it because he's he's just like a [ __ ] hard ass guy it's got um he he is good actually yeah um the guy

who play the guy who's like super in love with kisi and Game of Thrones you know that guy he's he in it yeah he's he's a character in it and yes C's really good okay that's great I should watch it because I always forget I have Apple TV did you guys did have has any of us watched the second season of uh Raised by Wolves no no I should watch that I watched all the first season I really should didn't you cuz that was excellent and because we didn't watch the second season they canceled it yeah cuz even the fans of it didn't didn't bother watching it yeah yeah one those shows you like but you can't really get around to watching it yeah I agree and and it asks so much of you that you've really got to it's not something you can binge watch you have to You' be depressed watch it yeah

I I actually I binge watch something this week and then cuz I thought it was all out and then I realized one episode is still pending so I've got to wait a week till I watch the last whated for and Silo all right so and and I Reon Luke you said you'd taken a look at this and Matt if you can get your hands on uh deadlock I really Rec recommend this so this is the this is the Australian Twin Peaks essentially it's um it's a murder in a country town in Tasmania um but it's all bizarre and funny now I didn't know if it was meant to be a comedy while I was watching the first episode I just thought are these people just all [ __ ] withs or or what but yeah it's not it's it's not like slapick comedy or no

it's very dry it's incredibly dry but um like David Lynch style in a way yeah but not as surreal okay yeah but but just but not as not as surreal there's no don't burn the clues but it's it's um it's more like uh yeah it's it's yeah it's first season of Twin Peaks before it got really weird okay yeah but um I watched remas I saw a screenshot from the Alan Wake remaster of the diner and it's literally the diner from Twin Peaks and I've forgotten that really want play that game again and you just madebe think of that no you should it's good I just I just finished it oh I watched something else this week I forgot uh Black Mirror oh I watched the first one I watched the first episode epode of the

latest Jon is awful yeah yeah which I thought was very good so I'm looking forward to watching the rest this is only seen one episode or two episodes of it Pig [ __ ] Pig [ __ ] and the video game pig [ __ ] is so oh that that one is so funny with with the pig [ __ ] is different for the rest of them oh yeah yeah that's yeah um yeah that one with the prime minister is so odd like yeah and as the first I I mean it's provocative I understand why they put it first but none of none of them I like that after that so so different yeah because I think the second one after that is about the the people who live in that um those cubes and ride the bike for work during the day or whatever it's like all very like yeah and then

the next one is was my favorite my wife asked me recently which one was my favorite I said that one where the guy can rewind everything his wife said and play it back to her so that he knows when she's full of [ __ ] yeah that's that's brutal that episode though [ __ ] and how did that go not well for anyone yeah some good episodes this season that first one is very is good it's very funny very um it's so hiking it's so funny yes yes up to including and Beyond defecation yeah yeah yeah yeah I didn't think it would feature hot diarrhea coming out of my [ __ ] what about my rights my [ __ ] not have

rights um great I I find that black mirror is a more successful remake of The Twilight Zone than the Twilight Zone remake sure yeah there's A's an episode with um Josh haret and you've probably seen the trailers or short clips from it with what's the guy from Breaking Bad yeah Jesse Pigman or I don't know what his real name is yeah yeah yeah that that episode is like yeah we'll talk about when you when you watch yeah no no I would have seen it by next time for sure um we talked about Terminator before without mentioning L Linda Hamilton uh is gonna be Strang of things yeah she's in season five yeah that's good good news I love this I like that they're not just

throwing back to the 80s but they're literally just trolling for for old Stars which is great um but then it got me thinking other than the Terminator I don't think I've actually ever watched anything I know she's in that Beauty and the Beast show from the 80s but I never watched that yeah um yeah yeah that one where people women kept sending him letters saying uh I love you you're so you know you're my perfect man and he was like I'm a rapist in the show in the show in the show ladies and gentlemen I'm not saying Ron confessed rapist I'm just saying his character was a bully and uh you you were not meant to see him as a romantic option yeah I've seen Lind Hampton in Terminator Terminator 2 and Terminator the really bad recent one

what was it called foret du fate see I didn't even think that was the worst I thought there were others that were yeah that one bad Genesis was appalling yeah but that's sort of yeah I think else she's just sort of like bit Parts in TV shows from what I remember her from like not anything yeah it's weird yeah because I mean she's very good as Sarah Conor maybe she's not good as anything else but I guess we'll see how she does in stranger things I assume they're going to tailor apart just for her too so I'm I'm interested to see what that's what that's going to look like do we know when strange thing is coming like is it being hurt by the rer strike at all oh goodness yeah you could be right probably I mean it's they're not filming anything yet no cuz actually

the writer strike is a bit misleading too because it makes you think that only scripts that have been written are going into production but actually people are avoiding going into production at all uh because nor yeah exactly that's right so and that's what sort of said like a little while ago like it we won't we won't feel the effects of the rer strike now it's going to be next year and the year after when when there's no shows yeah that's because um that's actually back to the John Landers thing he was talking about how complaining about the streaming thing but he was also saying this is one of the first times that all of the guilds together kind of come together and said no no no we all like want you to [ __ ] fix things like the whole

industry is like facing kind of a yeah but I think it's funny too because the industry want their industry to go a certain way but it's the entertainment industry which is focused on audience reactions and audiences are saying no we wanted to go a different way like I'm not no one's saying we don't want writers to be paid or we want AI to write shows but but all this thing about like we need people back in cinemas and stuff I'm like yeah of course that's how you make your money but we don't want to watch movies like that no yeah it's interesting we want to watch it when we want how we want and even though I've got like so many great memories of you know the Hayden twin in penth and High Street going there as a kid and get the popcorn watch all that par I still don't

want to do that now yeah so Batman Jurassic Park yeah Batman man I saw Jurassic Park I'm sure I've told this story before but I saw Jurassic Park on my parents wedding anniversary because um it was the anniversary I said to my dad because I also knew that Jurassic Park had come out that week and I said what what are you doing for Mom's for the year anniversary he's like oh nothing we don't really do that kind of stuff no you should take her out you should take her out he's yeah maybe dinos yeah I was like take Jurassic bar it's a huge new movie Step SP he's like yeah that's true I'm like and we should all go as a family and I'll sit a few RS in front of you guys yeah and pretend that I'm I'm I'm a cool kid who there by himself yeah yeah I

don't think I cared when I was one 11 or 12 I was I wasn't so focused on being cool you just wanted to see the dinosaurs yeah I just wanted to see dinosaurs and nothing has changed to this day which still doesn't make any that's why it's still like Jurassic world makes no sense that people were getting bored with going to see dinosaurs first of those remakes and I I haven't watched any since I'm not interested either what I did watch on YouTube last night which ha leaned over and she was like what the [ __ ] are you watching was just this size comparison between all dinosaurs and it started off like it was like a 12 minute video of just it was it' be on one and then it would pan back to show the next size pan back to show

the next size [ __ ] some of these are [ __ ] Big Mate they are [ __ ] big they were quite l yeah watch some guy his cabin that he bought in the Alps Italy oh nice yeah yeah I watch some stuff like that too that sounds excellent the dinosaur guys also do one with statues there are some big [ __ ] statues in the world the Statue of Liberty which is the largest one I've seen that was on this list which I thought was really [ __ ] big is about a quarter of the way into the list China have some big [ __ ] statues yeah right the Colossus of Roads it should be big it's not there anymore but that's pretty big right well I mean a assuming it was real B assuming that W exaggerated is there a foot there no all right I'm making that up I I'm not sure

Batmobile just the pieces just happened to fall in the shape of a bike and he was like oh it's a bike no no look so in Dave's defense when he says it exploded into that bike I think what he was say I don't think he was saying the pieces came back together I think what he was saying was in order to ride the bike that is the bat pod you have to sacrifice the structural Integrity of the Batmobile the bat but I don't think that's the cas I think it just shoots out right you could put it back in at the end you could reset it probably like those toys we had in the ' 80s where you like you have a truck and then you press a button in a car shoot out you can pop the car back in to shoot out another day I think he was saying that you have to

then go back and collect broken pieces of a Batmobile the day after well we could have figured all this out except apparently it seems like the auction has ended there's been an auction on Prop Store auction.com and they sold the the bat pod from The Dark Knight and and The Dark Knight Rises literally mat you were thinking of getting yourself a motorbike I mean if you're going to get one this would be the one to get actually this would not be Honda engine in it you can ride the [ __ ] thing it's a real bike it it is it's a real bike made from exp Batmobile the way you get it it doesn't work oh oh they've disabled it have they or they just give you the model version of it do they it would take work to get

it to to work cuz I was reading it got a Honda 750 engine oh I have to log in to see the winning bid I'm not going to log in but they've estimated it was going to go between1 to2 million is that what your budget was for a motorbike mat yep about this is like if I was to spend this I would be riding this bike Luke I could definitely see you riding this bike mate I would do it if if I paid the money for this I'd be riding it yeah with your bat suit on you punch me in the dick bath suit look at this thing it's [ __ ] sick yeah if you the vehicle sold in nonfunctional Rolling only condition with all fluids drained and the battery fuel tank and throttle controls removed removed okay so all I need to do it would take work is put some fluid in it plenty i' got plenty

any fluid it just says doesn't specify put I'll put some fluid in there it's fine I'll put be fing fluid anyway don't worry fuel get a couple of D batteries I'll pop a fuel tank on there and a throttle control and work out how throttle controls work po I'll pop an Xbox controller you can if you can pilot a sub with an Xbox controller you can pilot a bike well I think they've proven you can't pilot a sub with a it wasn't the piloting that was the problem I think it was the expired damn this carbon fiber anyway I'm sure you guys disc this already if I I want to ask you guys an important question the question uh is is this if you were offered any Batmobile
